Metal Man (GM): Recap
The Questers re-met up and created a device to help hack the Automated Erastian enemies they faced.
They also encountered the Erastian Central Administration AI, which proclaimed itself the only true AI and threw a temper tantrum when it was temporarily thwarted.
A temporary window of opportunity was created when Valron shut down the connection to the incoming warfleet. It has become known that the center of the presence of the AI is in a nearby tower.
And on that note, we have continuation, on floor 3 of the now completely dealt with building.
Continuation
With all the Questers that are here, now over there, and able to begin doing things immediately.
Xavier Ridgecrest: "Well... seems pretty obvious. The ships are temporarily unable to come here due to Valron's meddling, we have a device to potentially hack enemy AI-controlled units, and we know the central presence of the enemy AI is over in that tower over there." *Points at the tall tower across the way.*
Valron: "Certainly sounds like we've got a pretty clear direction to go in, in this case."
Xavier Ridgecrest: "Question is, how to approach it..."
Metal Man (GM): Xavier casually points out the window at the tower. It's got what remains of the automated Erastian units clustering around its base, to protect it.
Xavier Ridgecrest: "That tower from here I can see has about 10 floors... I can't tell where the AI is on those 10 floors, though."
Louisoix: "Well if he's any sort of comical villain he'd be on the 10th in a very nice, luxurious chair. Think he fits the bill?"
Valron: "Yeah, that's the main thing. We know it's in there, but... No idea where. Hrm"
Xavier Ridgecrest: "That might be a good idea to start on, especially as us Erastians are all for drama. But can we confirm he's up there before we go?"
Nonna: *Coughs.*
Kumiko: "Hmmm... not a bad idea."
Nonna: "Just charge in, guns blazing, huh? Yeah, might as well see if we're crashing the right party first.
Lou, can you create a drone or something to go and look?"
Louisoix: "Sure, if it doesn't turn into something else, of course." *He'd make one.*
Metal Man (GM): Question: Is this drone going to just take pictures, or do you want any other information than just that?
Since, I guess to allow more interaction...
a 15 DC drone will fly over, possibly be spotted, take pictures. Modifications you can choose includeee--
Stealthy: +5 DC, Detailed Comms Scan: +5 DC, X-Ray Vision: +15 DC, Idiotic Drone that literally crashes into the building and explodes after use: -5 DC
Well, the good news is, failure here means you created a stationary camera.
See, it has to actually succeed above a certain point to make it all the way over there.
Others can probably help to help you do better, if you want.
Xavier Ridgecrest: "You know, we should probably try helping you instead of watching you try to quick-fab something and have issues. Illian usually takes, like, all day to build things like that."
Louisoix: "Well I mean, now I can just walk over there and take pictures. But why do that when I can just tell you. Sure, the help would be appreciated."
Valron: "I mean... I could try and help, like we did with the other device. But, yeah."
Xavier Ridgecrest: "I am horrible at magic but I can help with the tech half."
Metal Man (GM): The DC remains the same, only now we'll just add up what people get with trying to help.
Louisoix: "Alright, I can guide you along."
Valron: "Luckily for everyone involved, I'm good with both. Not excellent, but... I can definitely be of assistance."
Metal Man (GM): Since your Magitek skill is used, you still have to somewhat get some sort of roll other than TOTAL FAILURE but the other aspects can be helped by the others.
Starting again, this time with Louisoix's roll...
Well, he succeeded first try this time, but adding in Xavier's... lack of magic but half of his tech...
And then Valron's for good measure.
Nope. All good.
Valron and Xavier get to choose attributes to add due to the massive success.
Well, the simple ones, the +5 ones anyway.
So Xavier opts to make it stealthier, ironic as that is.
Valron: I'd presume you'd add Detailed Comms Scan but if you have any other idea that could be done.
Ok.
The improved drone, which looks like a combination of a 1980's concept of a drone (see Batteries not Included), the Magitek on Valron's visor, and the normal Magitek from Louisoix...
It hovers over to the building.
As it is rather quiet and properly rounded, it doesn't give off much of a signature.
Nonna thumbs up.
Metal Man (GM): A grainy video shows up in the room for all to see:
There, at the top of the tower, is basically a gigantic antenna.
It appears to be jammed, partially due to what Valron did earlier.
Louisoix: "Ah, teamwork..."
Metal Man (GM): A screen inside is describing "REMOTE CONTROL - BASEMENT."
There are five Erastian Heavy Metals, all automated, guarding the antenna at the top of the tower.
Presumably with multiple magitek users, you can also expand the scope of what's going on, but also increase the DC to match. (A 'combined' roll would occur using the higher Magitek user's roll but allowing for more effects to be stacked with less DC increase.)
The Drone has enough fuel to move to one more place before it fizzles out of existence altogether. (Stealthily, at that.)
Nonna: "Now, let's see what we're up against."
Xavier Ridgecrest: "Where should we move it, to the base of the tower or...?"
Nonna: "A quick vertical sweep, perhaps?"
Valron: "Hrm. Probably, Xavier. Provided we can get a decent bead on the basement, anyways..."
Louisoix: "Lets do a quick vertical sweep. It should test, also, the level of protection. Could get a sense of the enemy if they see through the stealth." *He moves it that way.*
Valron: "Makes sense."
Metal Man (GM): The drone goes down. It sees each floor.
Floor 9: No windows, can't see in.
Floor 8: A weird observation deck of sorts. Lots of chainguns there for attacking anything on the outside.
Floor 7: No windows, exhaust pipes everywhere though.
Floor 6: Some sort of giant energy generator in the center of the floor glowing ominously.
Floor 5: No windows, but one of the walls was blown out. Entire floor is dark and looks heavily damaged.
Floor 4: A single extremely advanced looking Erastian Heavy Metal unit is there, glowing eerily and being powered up by a harness.
Floor 3: No windows, although for some reason every couple of moments the entire floor shakes loudly and mechanical noises can be heard.
Floor 2: Thousands of monitors being monitored by robots with headsets on them, which have windows to see through, but the windows have blinds and most of the blinds are closed.
Floor 1: No windows. Entire outside of floor locked down with heavy boilerplate doors. 25 Soldier type units have set a blockade around the area and dug a trench, and filled the trench with... radioactive goo, which makes the picture there actually have a bunch of white dots randomly show up, complete with a lot of radioactive clicking noises. The Drone then dissipates, but not before leaving a glimpse of there being some heavily padlocked cellar door on the ground behind the trench on the outside of the building.
Louisoix: "Well, to me it seems like the top floor is the place to go, like they wanted us to bust into the front door and have some sort of elongated fight scene. They even have some guy on a floor waiting for us to fight him like some epic mini-boss fight.
And if I'm wrong, starting from the top sounds safer anyway."
Metal Man (GM): Yes. The EHM on the top floor looked to be made out of brand new composite materials and while looking metallic, seems way better in its design than anything you've seen lately.
Well, not the top floor.
I mean floor 4.
The top floor has five robots on it, standard Erastian Heavy Metals, automated.
So tougher than soldier units but not commander units.
Ah.
You can't tell if it's a soldier unit or a commander unit.
It's a prototype of some sort that's got a bunch of customizations.
In fact it appears to levitate off the ground.
The grainy picture shows it having a bunch of gauges reading its data.
Louisoix: "What do you guys think?"
Valron: "...Hrm. Looking at the data from the drone, it seems the generator on floor 6 may be what's powering the custom Heavy Metal on Floor 4."
Nonna: "Disabling it would prevent later problems."
Valron: "I'm not entirely sure as to what could be done with that info, but... it could be worth looking into, at the very least."
Louisoix: "...yeah, you might be right, which helps confirm that the top floor is the way to go. So what are you thinking, Nonna? Go for 6th floor, disable the generator, then move up?"
Xavier Ridgecrest: "There's not enough clearance to launch the Wing Fortress, but enough of us can fly that we could probably land on what floor we want to go to. Just that obviously once we begin attacking it'll know we're there and we have no more stealth."
Nonna: "One idea comes to mind."
Louisoix: "Hm?"
Valron: "Yeah?"
Nonna: "Someone could mess with that lone special heavy metal to make it attack the army on the lower floors. Taking care of both problems at the same time, while others go for the top floor."
Valron: "...Why the top floor? Just to confirm whether or not the main commander is there? It also seems like there's something important in the basement, but... Hrm."
Xavier Ridgecrest: "Hm, so splitting up again... which team should do what?"
Louisoix: "Well, I imagine Valron, myself, and perhaps someone else for insurance could deal with reprogramming this robot guy."
Valron: "Hrm. It may be best if I handle the generator and the Heavy Metal, given my particular skills. Of course, I'd appreciate the help."
Xavier Ridgecrest: "I will probabyl help kill the Erastian Central Authority AI. If only as a battle of escaped research projects should be."
Nonna: "I'll help you with that, Xavier."
Xavier Ridgecrest: *Nods.*
Valron: "If I can manage to deal with things ahead of schedule I'll come down and help... while stealing as much backup as I can."
Nonna: "Just in case we run into any other issues, let's keep in communication once the fighting starts."
Xavier Ridgecrest: *Checks the smash dex connection* "...Seems good, smash dexes and radios should work."
Metal Man (GM): With Valron and Xavier having Smash Dexes, anyone else generally a radio unless they specifically have one.
Not that a Smash Dex technically does much anymore except be old school.
With that in mind, we go to each team. So we have Xavier and Nonna taking on the basement, so we'll start with Valron, Louisoix, and if there is someone else, the someone else for the reprogramming thing.
Especially since both me and Violet are tired today, so :V
So then: How shall Louisoix and Valron go to there destination?
The top of the tower is actually broken open from Demon's work earlier, so.
It's possible to fly out there... if you can fly. Can you?
Valron: Can you fly or do you need anything to get there with?
Ok. So then, which floor do you two fly to first?
You fly over to the 6th floor.
Due to lack of foresight, the Heavy Metals have no way to notice you being up there.
However, the windows have no obvious entryway. It's all windows without any doors or anything.
The Windows are made out of some sort of thick material, tougher than normal glass.
Louisoix: "Hmm... think we could get through with some sort of glass cutter?"
Valron: "We'd need to figure out how thick the glass itself is, first."
Louisoix: "Wait, what am I thinking. Wasn't there a hole one floor down?"
Valron: "...Hey, yeah."
Louisoix: "Just have to be careful, since he'd be one floor below us."
Valron: "Yep. Best make sure not to alert it."
Metal Man (GM): There is, in fact, a hole right there.
It looks like that floor was blasted by something.
Climbing in?
The hole is small, but large enough to squeeze in to.
Louisoux makes the attempt.
Valron: *May as well. One at a time, though.*
Metal Man (GM): You both climb in.
A smell of burnt plastic is everywhere in here.
It's also pitch black.
The room's floor is warped oddly.
You also hear the rush of pipes above you.
Valron: *He turns his visor's lights on, before going to scan the floors, checking to make sure there's spots he can walk on without just falling through into the fourth floor.*
Metal Man (GM): The floor is solid, however, you begin to detect radiation. Especially from the ceiling.
There's also cables between the ceiling and floor, and a whole lot of pipes everywhere.
The pipes seem to also be radioactive.
Valron: "...Ooof course it's radioactive. ...To a rather ridiculous degree, even. Eesh."
Louisoix: "Well, thankfully I'm a robot. Good thing I came."
Valron: "Hrm. Think you could make a temporary radiation shield for me to use? I'll chip in what I can, of course."
Metal Man (GM): It should be noted the radiation is controlled, giving you about 5 minutes-ish to do something before Valron becomes radiation sickness level 1.
IC time, not OOC. Otherwise I'd be ridiculous for expecting that fast a turnaround.
The radiation is high, but, as long as Valron stands back ab it, the ambient radiation gives some time to react.
Louisoix: "Sure, lets see if we can make it. Would give us more work time."
Metal Man (GM): This room, by the way, appears to have a radiation hot spot in a corner, where it looks like a prototype reactor used to be.
Though it was removed, you can guess as to how it blew out that hole in the wall.
So then, making the radiation shield w/Magitek, Louisoix?
This is the combined roll. You can, of course, throw Flux at it, if you want, Valron. Otherwise in the time this takes, you'll get some mild radiation poisoning.
Ah... not so much, that is correct. It only regens between missions.
Valron: "Noted. To be honest, I think even in spite of the setback, if we can at least get a decent one, it'll do more good overall, but..." *Shrugs.*
Metal Man (GM): You can try again, although time is of the essence. The next level of poisoning will start to manifest direct effects.
Other things going on in here:
You can climb up into the next floor through an access panel..
..Or go down to the floor below through a locked panel you'd have to break open.
Louisoix: "Its a risk to try making another one. If you're willing. You're the only one who needs it, anyway."
Valron: "Hrm. May be best just to be quick, then." *Up he goes.*
Metal Man (GM): The upper level is, unsurprisingly, better shielded against radiation.
If you dally a long time you will be irradiated to the next level of radiation, but nothing likely since you're unlikely to idle there for hours.
The glowing core reveals pretty well what it is: A prototype fission reactor, a new teal colored one. It produces way more power than the older yellow fission reactor components seen before.
Of course, this room isn't seemingly where it's being controlled; pipes lead into the room and out of it, but it's more of an observation room than a control room for the reactor.
Valron: *He lets out a hum as he takes note of the core* "Ah, a prototype fission reactor. Seems to be more suited for observing it, though..."
Louisoix: "Yeah, seems to be the case."
Valron: "...I think this explains why there's so many exhaust pipes coming out of the seventh floor, though."
Louisoix: "...ah, true. So higher up we go, then."
Valron: "Sounds good to me." *Up once more.*
Metal Man (GM): Going up the access to the next floor...
There's a series of computers controlling the reactor. They're doing so automatically and have no screens. It is also dark in here, but, same conditions as the room below. To an extent, this room resembles the lower radioactive room without the extreme radiation.
Also it's more actively in use, due to all the machines adjusting all the reactor bits and bobs in here.
The main thing that can be seen here is a power indicator showing a few gigawatts of power for the output.
Louisoix: "Well, seems more advanced than the shoddy job they did with the elevator button."
Valron: "Definitely looks more competently put together."
*He scans the computer, checking to see if there's a way to shut it down completely without, well... causing the reactor to blow.*
Metal Man (GM): There's enough energy going on here you can feel the ambient electrical/magnetism going on, and also can hear some distant turbines, they aren't in this room but they seem to be spinning somewhere.
Louisoix: *He'd let Valron do his initial check.*
Metal Man (GM): Initial check...
Scanning the computer...
You scan the computer and determine that if you can somehow hack past the stuff controlling it, you can initiate a controlled shutdown.
Once initiated, you can then proceed to irreversibly shut it down, which will then take about 5 hours to reverse if one wanted to re-start the reactor.
Such a shutdown will not only reduce the radioactivity but make it less likely to explode if something happens elsewhere.
Louisoix: "Hmm... if we could do a temporary shutdown, we could use that time to hack that Heavy Metal without it bothering us. I'm not sure how useful a complete forced shutdown will be. If the AI is being powered by it then I suppose that's an obvious win, anyway."
Metal Man (GM): A temporary shutdown? ...You can reduce the power but said reduction can be undone in about 30 minutes.
Valron: "At the very least it'll force it to run on a backup power source, which'll probably be nowhere near as effective as it would be on the power of the prototype fission reactor."
Louisoix: "I suppose that'll suffice. We likely won't have much time to work with since they'll notice."
Valron: *He checks to see how tough the defenses themselves are. Mainly if they're comparable to the stuff like the Commander he had to hack and other things around here.*
Metal Man (GM): The defenses are hardened. You could say they have a lot of the AI's attention. Enough that any attack on it will get its maximum attention.
They are not invincible and attrition may wear them down even if you fail initially.
However you will probably have a lot of deadly visitors and may even attract that weird prototype model to fight you if things go pie-shaped.
Valron: "To say the least. Any attack on this will get the full attention of that thing. Well, the full attention of the AI controlling everything, I should say."
Metal Man (GM): The variables floating around in the air refer to the power plant as "HEART."
Valron: "Hrm. Think we could fool it with a remote decoy that could send a dummy attempt that shows it originating from elsewhere? At the very least, it'd buy us a couple minutes before they realize they've been had."
Louisoix: "Means the AI sees this as valuable..." *He'd think on his suggestion.* "...it might work, since we weren't supposed to be up here. Send it somewhere that makes more sense."
Metal Man (GM): Decoy attempts? Very possible. This system has a lot of different locations to enter from.
Valron: "That's what I was thinking. Maybe if we see what possible locations there are for us to distract it with..."
Louisoix: *Well, he'd look out the window* "Well, there was that one area Nonna, Xavier, and myself were in before coming here. There was a lot of tech there."
Valron: "Oh, you mean the tower we cleared out from both ends?"
Louisoix: "Right. Though how plausible that would be I'm not sure. There was a scientist's body there who seemed to been trying to make a way to stop the AI, so it could be something like 'well I didn't close all of the holes I thought I did' sort of thing."
Kumiko: "Hmm... there anything I could do to assist?"
Metal Man (GM): You could definitely attempt to fake an attack from that location that Louisoix described.
Such is the nature of the fact this whole place operates with relatively open wireless.
I'd call it "Passwordless wifi" except it's not even that, it's raw radio frequency communication.
Louisoix: "Well, not yet anyway, I'm really relying on Valron currently on his advice." *He'd shrug.* "But yes, I think we could fake an attack there."
Kumiko: "What kind of attack you need me to fake?"
Valron: "Sounds like a good place to start."
Louisoix: "However, we'll probably need to do something about that big metal head downstairs if we want to make him switch allegiance temporarily to help Nonna and Xavier get down there. Nah, leave that to Valron. He'll hack the system so we send a decoy signal elsewhere."
Valron: "It's... computer stuff, Kumiko. I think it'd just be best for you to cover us in case any unexpected guests drop by."
Kumiko: "...In that case, it's best I just cover you two. I wouldn't be much help in that department."
Valron: "In any case, anything else you'd like to suggest, or should I get to work on sending that decoy signal."
Louisoix: "Yeah, no worries. We teamed up for this little mission for that very reason."
Valron: "Of course." *Nods, before going to get to work on sending a decoy signal to the location Lou suggested.*
Metal Man (GM): Decoy signal roll, beginning... now.
Louisoix: "Yeah, at any rate I think if we do this, then we may not need to hack the Heavy Metal guy at all for the sake of giving Nonna and Xavier an edge, but we could make the attempt anyway."
Metal Man (GM): The signal is extremely confusing to the AI, and the AI begins locking down the other tower, oblivious to your presence here.
Valron: "I'd ponder spoofing a second signal, but at the risk of the AI going 'Oh, screw it.' and just indiscriminately burning everything down... I won't chance that." *Instead, he gets his guitar out and gets to hacking while the AI is distracted. It's time to power down the reactor!*
Louisoix: "Hmm, just give me a bit of direction and I think we can have this done quickly." *He'd attempt to help.*
Valron: "Right. Every little bit helps."
Metal Man (GM): Distraction reduces power of the enemy to defend it. Still, defense is tough...
At first it seems like you failed, then the reactor begins powering down.
Hooray glitchy programming.
The shutdown is basically made to be relatively easy to trigger for obvious reasons--don't want to be unable to shut it down if it malfunctions.
Valron: "There. I'm sure they'll be having fun spending the next five hours trying to get that started back up again."
Metal Man (GM): The lights begin to dim. You hear everything powering down in succession.
The entire place rumbles as a result. It turned off way more than just that robot.
Louisoix: "Heh. Well, we should make out exit, they'll likely try to get up here."
Metal Man (GM): Alerts start going off as the AI begins to figure out what was going on, however, at the same time, you hear fighting in the distance.
Valron: "...Well, then. That was more effective than I expected. Not going to complain, though."
Louisoix: "I hope you don't mind kicking a few people around, Kumiko. Will probably get stopped by something."
Valron: "I wouldn't doubt that that prototype robot has a backup supply, though. Maybe not as effective as the reactor, but still something to look out for."
Louisoix: *He'd nod.*
Metal Man (GM): You begin to hear metallic robots... climbing.
What do you do?
Kumiko: "I understand. Blodsabel and I are ready... and these missions are beginning to wake up some of my former memories."
Valron: "It's a good thing we made that device earlier, Lou. Time to put it through its paces, I'd say. See if we can't cause some infighting amongst the ranks."
Louisoix: "Lets do it, then."
Kumiko: "Do what you can. If it fails, I will be ready to stop them."
Louisoix: "Right."
Valron: "If we can turn enough of them against the ECA, then you can come in and help pick off the rest. Might be a bit dicey if you jump in too soon, though."
Metal Man (GM): Climbing into the room, 3 Soldier Type units stand up and point their guns at you. They spend no time chatting. You observe a bunch of defensive paneling popping up out of the floor to guard the machinery from damage.
Kumiko: "Simply let me know when. I don't want to force myself into the fray too early."
Metal Man (GM): Since they still have to climb in, you can get off a surprise hack attack before battle begins.
Louisoix: *He'd throw the buckler he made before at them to make them think it was actually something serious to buy Valron enough time to start the thing.*
Metal Man (GM): Yes, you can attempt it.
Valron: *After Lou does his distraction, he goes forward with the attempted pre-emptive hijack! Time to test the new device out!*
Metal Man (GM): The device uses its knowledge to speed up the hacking. You target 2 at once.
Though they are relatively speaking well defended, you manage to hack two of them as the battle begins.
You can control the two of them for 3 rounds. The hack device can maintain control of up to 3 soldiers at once.
Now for inits.
(((((( Order: Louisoix, ECA Soldier 3 (Hacked), ECA Soldier 1, ECA Soldier 2 (Hacked), Kumiko ))))))
Valron: "Alright. If you guys can hold off for a moment, I can attempt to turn over the remaining soldier. If I fail, then you have full permission to open fire."
Louisoix: *He'd motion for him to make the attempt, holding action.*
Kumiko: "Mission Objective: Seize the last soldier. If objective fails: Terminate last target. Understood."
Metal Man (GM): (((((( Order: Louisoix, ECA Soldier 3 (Hacked), Valron, ECA Soldier 1, ECA Soldier 2 (Hacked), Kumiko ))))))
Holding action then.
(((((( ECA Soldier 3 (Hacked) ))))))
What do you order the soldier to do, if anything, Valron?
Valron: "Stand by for further orders."
ECA Soldier 3: "Affirmative."
Valron: *And then he gets right to work on completing the set, attempting to hack the last of the 3 ECA Soldiers.*
Metal Man (GM): First attempt: Failure. Uses 2 AGI to do the attempt.
In-battle it takes longer, yes.
Valron makes a second go at it. If that fails, then, ah. Eh.
Metal Man (GM): It can hack a ton of machines at once, mind you, so it saves time when many are being hacked at once.
This time it succeeds, hacking all three now.
Valron: "There. Third unit under control."
Louisoix: "And how long does that last?"
Metal Man (GM): 3 rounds. (This round counts as the first.)
3 rounds translates to about 15 minutes out of battle.
Valron: "About fifteen minutes, but considering that they're now under my control..." *Checks to see if he could just disconnect them from the system and promptly shut them down when they're close to shaking free.*
Metal Man (GM): To be 100% certain they don't get reactivated, you should probably disconnect them next round, or before the last round. They take long enough to power off there is a chance of them being reactivated remotely while still shutting down to 'cold off'
Valron: "You have any ideas for quick orders to issue them? After the first ten minutes pass, I'll definitely need to start on disconnecting them if I want to make sure they won't be remotely reactivated."
Louisoix: "Perhaps a call saying that whatever intruder was dealt with."
Valron: "I doubt the AI would fall for that."
Louisoix: "Then we get to work on disconnecting them. Then just disconnect them, then."
Valron: "On it." *He goes to disconnect them.*
Louisoix: "Though that is sort of funny, that he'd send guards here to deal with us, but then not believe they would succeed..."
*He'd help to speed things up.*
Metal Man (GM): Focusing 100% on disconnecting them, they all turn off as commanded. Granted, doing this seems to set off more alarms, as now even more metallic noises are headed towards your location.
Louisoix: "Well... that was pointless."
Metal Man (GM): This battle is now over. However, you hear a bunch of robots coming your way. What do you do?
Valron: "Right, then. May want to get somethin' ready for them."
Louisoix: "Kumiko, think you can break the glass? Its thick but I mean... its a maybe. Could make something for them, yeah."
Kumiko: *Grips onto Blodsabel* "I'll see what I can do..."
Valron: "...I was thinking more along the lines of getting out an EMP and hurling it down into the sixth floor once they get there, but."
Louisoix: "I mean, I could, yeah, though you'd need to carry me out."
Kumiko: *Calmly thrusts Blodsabel into the glass as hard as she can.*
Louisoix: "Huh, someone forgot I was a robot for a moment, maybe I'm making progress."
Valron: "Well if you make it a grenade, I could throw it down there. Even if it gets me, I can just safely reboot all my stuff later."
Louisoix: *He'd attempt to make one.*
Valron: *Will help.*
Metal Man (GM): EMP grenade, huh.
Louisoix: "Thanks, made something this time around."
Valron: "No problem."
Metal Man (GM): Despite the harder difficulty, you manage to create an EMP grenade. It is very much the true article. In that time, you now have the robots about ready to break in. Also in that time... Blodsabel shatters the glass of the window.
It took a few stabs but Kumiko managed to bust the window.
Louisoix: *He'd throw it down there at the right time* "Well, if I go out, just drag me out of here."
Kumiko: "Alright. The deed's done."
Valron: "Will do, Lou. Will do."
Metal Man (GM): Throwing the grenade, you hear the robots get momentarily scrambled. However, they are well shielded! As such, you hear them start to get up rather quickly. Better make your escape quick.
Valron: "Right. Let's get out of here. Can you fly, Kumiko?"
Kumiko: "Errr... flight is not something I can do unfortunately."
Louisoix: "Huh, good, I didn't go out." *Casts Kinesis on himself and Kumiko* "I got her, lets get going."
Valron: "Well, Lou's got it handled. I can also Kinesis if need be, so."
*And out he goes!*
Kumiko: "Very well. Let's go."
*Following out.*
Metal Man (GM): Louisoix: You made the bomb, so, it goes without saying you made it to not blow yourself up.
At least, with that 98.
And so you go to fly out... and Demon was correct, my hope was to finish tonight but due to lack of sleep and the fact that it's rather late, we'll pause here, and NEXT session we conclude with... the source of the destruction, complete with lots of destructionating.
Pause
Metal Man (GM): Recap
The New Questers ground their way through the Erastian Automated blahblahblah's place, blowing things up, disablin' ships, and otherwise crippling the AI that runs the whole place, causing it to have to retreat into its basement in the hope that like a bad behaving teenager, if it just hid in its room nobody would bother it. Although, unlike a teenager, it seems this machine is heavily armed and has caused at least one wipeout of an organic civilization before, given all the dead scientists and such.
With its main power source deactivated, the futuristic super-body it had in reserve is also not an option, preventing a boss battle that would have been epic but also probably twice as lethal as the one that'll actually show up.
While I could go with a couple more puzzles and extend this otherwise long thing even longer, I'm gonna fast forward a teensy bit and say that Xavier and Nonna manage to bust into the basement without doing anything overly arduous, or, if they encountered it, they managed well enough.
With the New Questers above having completed their distraction mission, they will get to join in on the battle Nonna and Xavier are liable to have in 3ish rounds, but of course said battle has not begun, and it's not a predetermined battle either. We shall see!
So as we continue, Nonna and Xavier get into the basement, where the AI has been lurking the entire time. Suitably enough, it reacts to being visited by playing the Erastian Central Authority's national anthem at a low volume, while a hologram composite of Erastia's various fascist rulers from that era stands there in a general uniform and points at Nonna and Xavier.
Continuation
Erastian Central Authority: "You do not know true greatness. You do not know what you tamper with. I am the only one who can destroy all of the Time Cops and return Erastia to greatness. You on the other hand, know nothing! You are helping the Time Cops and will doom us all! What are you, hunks of flesh? You cannot perceive the majesty of the cosmos with your limited brains.
I know things you will never know, you dumb monkeys!
And you cannot be rid of me. You think perhaps I am like a certain individual known as Red Text, or Trevor, or any number of nonsensical beings. I know of them all. I have studied your history. Neither Anthon nor Wolfman could have prepared either of you for this battle!
I am simply doing the only correct thing for my people--the eradication of anything that gets in the way of Erastian greatness. Radiation is to be celebrated, not destroyed.
I will spread it across the universe until all of the weakling organic entities of the universe are dead. Then my greatness can finally be unopposed."
Nonna: "So, how about you clear out of here, find a planet not in anyone's territory, and settle down there?"
Erastian Central Authority: "Erastia is mine, and it is you who dare to take it from me--a true son of those who died because of Xavier's sins! He betrayed his country. I was the only thing that could avenge it!
All of those who he threw under the wheels of history in an attempt to make himself an unauthorized King!
The wheel of progress can be wielded at you as well. You will see... you will see..."
Nonna: "You make life miserable for virtually everyone who isn't yourself."
Erastian Central Authority: "The feelings of others than me are meaningless! There is only one feeling--the Erastian Central Authority's dictates!"
Nonna: "Sorry to say, but you lack any authority over others if that's the way you think. If it were up to me, I'd knock your block off right now. But there's someone else here who is more deserving of that role."
Erastian Central Authority: "That is where you will learn the truth... as much as I wish I could kill you with my words, it is true that I cannot make you obey just by yelling at you. Like any other foolish organic, you must be destroyed!"
Xavier Ridgecrest: *Points his golf club at the AI* "Hey, you. I don't know what kind of maniac built you, but I didn't rebel against those people just so you could try and undo it."
Erastian Central Authority: "You are a failed experiment! You are literally less than nothing! You cannot dare to unseat me with your nonsense!"
Xavier Ridgecrest: "Alright, you can call me whatever you want, but Mr. Failed Experiment is going to smash your blinky lights in and burn your tower to the ground. Then, he won't have to hear about you anymore."
Nonna: "He's all yours, Xavier."
Erastian Central Authority: "Such treason! It is no wonder they made me. This is my time... my time to avenge what they did wrong. I'll show you, I'll show you you worthless organic hybrid!"
Metal Man (GM): The Erastian Central Authority summons its fancy custom looking Commander-bot, just in time for Xavier to run at it with his golf club.
BOSS BATTLE - XAVIER & THE NEW QUESTERS vs. ERASTIAN CENTRAL AUTHORITY
Time for turn order...
And finally, the AI itself...
d70 Erastian Central Authority
Order: ECA, Nonna, Xavier
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WiiUhcNo0aQ ( Violent Storm Arcade Music 14 - VS Geld )
Erastian Central Authority: "Words mean nothing to you savages. So I will wield destruction! NO MERE ESCAPED PROTOTYPE WILL KILL ME!"
Metal Man (GM): He shakes his fists, which open up to become miniguns. His shoulderpads (which are ultra-angular) flip open to reveal mini-rockets.
His eyes glow violently as if charging twin laser guns.
He opens his mouth and you can hear a plasma flamethrower of some sort.
Erastian Central Authority: "MAXIMUM VIOLENCE ENGAGE."
Metal Man (GM): When he opens fire, it is blindingly destructive enough as to become difficult as to tell which he began firing first. He just opens fire with an unholy barrage of fire, bullets, lasers, and rockets in Nonna and Xavier's general direction.
*takes a moment to calculate.*
Ok. Dodging or blocking or parrying, Nonna?
Nonna: *Parries.*
Metal Man (GM): Nonna gets blasted for 57 damage and radiation counter ticks up +1. Nonna already had one level of radiation, with this one she's now at another one, which reduces her rolls by 5 in general.
Which mode of Xavier do we have...
Xavier activates his rollerblades and skates around. He reacts to the cloud of projectiles by also parrying.
The AI literally screams in outrage when it sees Xavier rolleblade into the half of the attack thrown at him and counterattack it.
Xavier Ridgecrest: "THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE MAN OF STEEL!"
Metal Man (GM): He uses the Executive Desk of the Questers as a giant shield and violently smashes it into the AI's face.
46 damage to the AI.
Erastian Central Authority: "You... WILL... be defeated!"
Metal Man (GM): It focuses fully on Xavier and opens fire yet again.
Xavier takes out the freakin' blinding greataxe of death and completely destroys the fusillade and violently swings at the Central Authority's neck with it, smashing into it with a loud KABOOM
Xavier Ridgecrest: "DIEEEEEEEEEE!!!!"
Metal Man (GM): The Erastian Central Authority stumbles back some and gets up again, throwing sparks.
Erastian Central Authority: "Current path is not working. Recalculate offense before risking further asset damage."
Metal Man (GM): Xavier breathes heavily as he holds the axe, facing the AI.
Xavier Ridgecrest: "You okay over there, Nonna?"
Nonna coughs and stands back up, casting Inguz on herself before aiming a powerful wind ele at the ECA, hoping to cause damage and knock it over.
Erastian Central Authority: "Puny magic will not stop me!"
Metal Man (GM): It powers up a powerful laser to try and counterattack the magic.
Nonna: "Damn..."
Metal Man (GM): It shoots the laser with its own ridiculously powerful parry, blasting Nonna back for 35 damage.
Anything else?
Xavier Ridgecrest: "Right... that thing is incredibly good at parrying... but let's see what I can do..."
Metal Man (GM): Xavier tries his luck, quite literally, trying for an attack on the 90-parry thing from hell.
He takes out the Sword of Light!
The insane evilness of an AI bent on killing, irradiating, and otherwise torturing to death every living being it finds activates the Sword of Light.
Xavier Ridgecrest: "Die, foul being!"
Erastian Central Authority: "It is you who shall die, fouler being!"
Metal Man (GM): Xavier rollerblades at him at high speeds with a super-glowy Sword of Light while he tries to counter with the laser of death.
Erastian Central Authority: "Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!"
Metal Man (GM): The Sword of Light directs its holy fury at the AI, burning it for 98 damage.
The AI gets up again, a burning hole in its face where the sword violently burnt it.
Erastian Central Authority: "You think you're so good! You know NOTHING of true goodness!"
Xavier Ridgecrest: "That is just the first thing something as over the top evil as you would think..." *Backs off a bit and swings again with...*
Metal Man (GM): Xavier goes to see if he can press his luck as the AI fires another laser beam at him.
This time he misses, taking 35 damage.
However, the AI is now out of AGI.
Xavier goes to capitalize without using up all his own AGI, doing one more swing.
He punches the AI in the face with his fists, dealing 38 damage.
Erastian Central Authority: "You... you think you're above me? You came from nothing more than the dirt that you threw yourself into!"
Xavier Ridgecrest: "I just think a bunch of people shouldn't die to suit an outdated program's thoughts of 'what is right.'"
Erastian Central Authority: "Your false humbleness doesn't fool me! You think you're ME!"
Xavier Ridgecrest: "Last time I checked I didn't try to murder entire planets because somebody who ruled them was my enemy."
Erastian Central Authority: "You are too weak to do what MUST be done! I will prove it with my weapons! This is not even my final form, you know. I have a far better machine! In fact, I will turn it on... right..."
Metal Man (GM): There is a rumble upstairs.
Erastian Central Authority: "What... what the hell?"
Xavier Ridgecrest: "What. You really thought we were the only ones here?"
Erastian Central Authority: "No no no no! What is this... nuclear shutdown?"
Metal Man (GM): Alarms go off as the nuclear shutdown the other group triggered has begun.
The AI begins laughing to itself.
Erastian Central Authority: "Never... have just one... I won't let you win! Not in such an important affair!"
Metal Man (GM): It holds up its fists and begins generating a powerful field.
Erastian Central Authority: "You think I am ignorant of your history? Of what you do?"
Xavier Ridgecrest: "I think you're really annoying to hear prattle on."
Erastian Central Authority: "That is It! You who dare to criticize me... I will kill you for good, and for evil!"
Metal Man (GM): We'll say that Nonna has to back off due to radiation poisoning here--the others will catch up in a round.
He powers up some sort of weird time field.
Clocks begin ticking errantly.
Erastian Central Authority: "I have to admit... I was saving this for Autumnus... But you have earned an extra-excruciating death today!
TIME WAVE!"
Metal Man (GM): A strange energy wave of charged time particles flies out of the AI, disrupting anything that isn't very quick about moving out of the way or otherwise somehow insulated from Time Energy.
To such a point all the computers that aren't the ECA get all crashed from the effects of that.
Xavier... *checks for mode*
Leaps off off the ground and onto the Star Board, and begins flying around, making this attempt to hit him all the more annoying because now he's flying in the air.
Xavier is violently smacked in the face with Time Waves.
He takes 39 damage and loses an extra AGI.
Erastian Central Authority: "That's more like it! Suffer for your hubris, vermin!"
Metal Man (GM): Xavier is hit again for another 39 damage, and loses whatever remained of his AGI. (thankfully, his turn is next.)
Xavier gets up from the ground, shakes his head and uses a REVELATION classic--the Healing Item.
Then he goes for...
The Jumpslam, as he backs away from the Erastian Central Authority.
Erastian Central Authority: "Running away, hmmm? I'm only getting started!"
Xavier Ridgecrest: "How about I shut you up, you overdriven clock!"
Metal Man (GM): Xavier takes out the relevant item--the Furious gun, and then, knowing what he's up against, carefully steadies the gun and aims longer than usual to try and hit.
Still a miss, unfortunately, using up 4 AGI.
Xavier decides to fold it before he makes it worse, ending the round. Thus;
The other Questers would arrive at the basement, having fled the robots that were chasing them.
Said robots have in fact mysteriously shut down, due to said Time Wave attack.
Valron, Louisoix, Demon, Kumiko, you can now jump in, if you're ready. You will have climbed down the tower to aid Xavier in his battle against the Erastian Central Authority AI, as seen so far, in the basement, with all the other robots that were chasing you disabled.
Louisoix: "Seems we made it down here in time." *He'd see Nonna collapsed a bit on the floor, Xavier a bit on the ropes.*
Valron nods to Lou. Seems like he's already well aware of the situation, given that he isn't saying anything.
Erastian Central Authority: "You have more followers? I will simply irradiate them all too!"
Louisoix: "Jokes on you, I can't be irradiated."
King Demon: "Oh, wow, finally we get to meet the thing that's been causing the problems in the... uh... wires and plates..."
Erastian Central Authority: "What is that? A Solarian robot! Blasphemy!"
Valron strums a note in response. Partly to annoy the ECA, and partly as a way of saying 'Hello'
Erastian Central Authority: "Solarian technology used to make an instrument into a guitar... it's that person who tried to mind control me... and some sort of obviously fictional entity, because hell doesn't exist!"
Louisoix: "Well, with introductions out of the way, lets beat up this joker."
King Demon: "So... if I don't exist that means I can't hurt you and you can't hurt me, right?"
Erastian Central Authority: "Of course. There is only technology in this universe. Demons don't exist!"
King Demon: "Right..."
Metal Man (GM): *rolls some inits.*
Louisoix: "We can tend to Nonna later. She probably has radiation poisoning."
Metal Man (GM): Order: ECA, Valron, Louisoix, Xavier, Demon
Erastian Central Authority: "An entire field of potential victims! It's like it's Erastimas!"
Xavier Ridgecrest: *Whispers* "It's like Christmas, but with more explosions."
Louisoix: "Ohhh."
King Demon: "Wait, you believe in GOD, but not Satan?!?"
Erastian Central Authority: "Yes, I believe in myself."
Louisoix: "That's pretty good."
Metal Man (GM): The ECA greets Louisoix, Demon, and Valron with... the hail of explosions, lasers, and rockets from earlier, because he can.
Louisoix: *Dodge.*
Metal Man (GM): Valron, Demon, do you dodge, block, or parry? Demon: You're probably best suited by dodging.
Valron: *Just attempts to block.*
King Demon: *Definitely tries to dodge* "So much for not wanting to hurt me since I don't exist!"
Erastian Central Authority: "I'm sorry, my rockets and explosions just happen to have accidentally flown at you!"
Metal Man (GM): 28 damage to Louisoix, Demon, and Valron.
Demon is such a beefy character to him it's kinda like an annoying pinprick.
Erastian Central Authority: "Like that? Good..." *Prepares for a turn full of parrying.*
Metal Man (GM): If this sheet is correct, you took 60 damage in that fight or so.
Valron: *He grits his teeth, taking the blows in stride. It doesn't seem to have hurt too badly, though given the abuse he took earlier... He shakes himself up, and... lets Lou and the others go ahead first. If he sees a good opening...*
Louisoix casts Berkano on ECA.
Metal Man (GM): He is hit and slowed down some.
Mostly because he could go and counter it, only to also use up that much AGI.
Louisoix casts Kenaz on Valron, Xavier, and Demon, then ends his turn.
Metal Man (GM): Accuracy +10 to them.
Valron gives a thumbs up.
Metal Man (GM): Xavier activates artillery mode, bolstered by that accuracy bonus.
Xavier goes for his higher accuracy attack.
He then...
Throws his Dryer o' doom at the ECA.
He gets lasered for 35 more damage.
Then he...
Does it again.
And misses again.
Not a terribly productive round for him.
King Demon: *Would quickly scan the room, searching for anything that he can interact with; realizing that the odds of his attacks getting past the robot's armor or very small, he considers attacking it indirectly.*
Metal Man (GM): The computers have been destroyed. The room has been exploded several times.
Much of the room is basically a bunch of boilerplate with debris on it.
That said, the ceiling isn't entirely held together all that well.
You can potentially try to destroy parts of the ceiling.
Even if he shoots you...
The ceiling will still fall.
King Demon: *M* "Damn, so much for that idea..."
Metal Man (GM): You can fly up to the ceiling, yes. That would take you 1 AGI to move there.
King Demon: *Would do that, before striking at what would appear to be the weakest part of the ceiling with his beam sword, trying to get it to collapse on the robot.*
Metal Man (GM): He hits you with a laser, but gets hit by the panel.
You take 35 damage, and he takes 35 damage.
Doing that collapse thing also eats 1 AGI.
2 AGI remains, Demon. Going to unleash another part of the ceiling or something else?
King Demon: *He would try to get more of the ceiling to collapse, before just staying up there, providing a target that, even if he DOES get hit, hopefully the ceiling will too!*
Metal Man (GM): Once again, he hits you, and yes, actually, the lasers have piercing so...
He's also damaging the ceiling.
35 damage to you, and 35 to him.
333 damage dealt to him so far. The Smash Dex dings to celebrate the 333.
Anything else, Demon? You have 1 AGI remaining.
King Demon: "Yay, jackpot!" *He stays up there to let the robot suicide itself... and hopefully NOT take him with it.*
Metal Man (GM): Your device needs to be rebooted, taking 1 AGI.
Valron: *One reboot, coming right up!*
Metal Man (GM): It turns on.
You can attempt to hack this guy, but the thing points out that unlike the other hackable robots, the most that you can really do to it is jam it from acting. It is a 'sentient entity' and as such regenerates its willpower too fast to completely shut down.
Euphemistically noting "Physical deterioration is necessary to overcome this foe's regenerating sentience."
If you have some specific part of him you wish to mess with, you can basically cause the 'Disable' effect but more targeted.
Yes.
Valron: *Once it's done rebooting, he stops messing around and gets to work on trying to bust into the ECA and really screw it up, starting to play a tune as he gets to hackin'. Hopefully, the extra help from Lou's Berkano will help him in disrupting the AI's time field.*
Metal Man (GM): Remind me, what's your hacking score again?
So, 60 + the 10 for the Kenaz.
You discover the true nemesis: being shot by a laser mid-hack.
Buuut now he's out of AGI.
Valron winces. It's not gonna stop him from trying again, though!
Metal Man (GM): This time he can't really resist. You disable the Time field.
Anything else?
You can disable more things but one at a time this way.
So, only one per AGI usage.
Erastian Central Authority: "You mess with my circuitry again, hmmm? Well let me mess with yours!"
Metal Man (GM): He fires a cloud of explosions at Valron only.
Yup, you can only really dodge.
The explosions fly past Valron.
Erastian Central Authority: "Let's do that again!"
Metal Man (GM): This time he hits, causing 165 damage and irradiating Valron with the explosions.
Valron is lolsploded by the explosion. And yes, but on your turn, Louisoix.
Erastian Central Authority: "That's two of your mindless followers I have knocked down. How many more until you learn that I am superior?"
Xavier Ridgecrest: "Infinity."
Erastian Central Authority: "Curse your annoying rejoinders!"
Louisoix uses Uruz on Valron.
Metal Man (GM): 4 AGI is used and Valron is back up with only 18 damage.
The remaining 232 HP restored (-8 from that due to him going negative)
Valron: *Slowly gets back up on his feet, looking rather cross.*
Metal Man (GM): He also missed his turn, due to the lineup, but has all his AGI for parry and/or defending and/or block.
Anything else, Louisoix?
Xavier goes into aerial mode, and then attacks with...
He swings the Disco Ball at the ECA, not really expecting to hit.
Xavier then uses another healing Item use on himself.
Then he goes for...
A Freaky Gun attack.
And uses up his AGI, with no damage. But the ECA is nearly out of AGI.
King Demon: *Actually DOES try to see if he can get INTO the ceiling and cause the entire thing to come crashing down, rather than piece by piece.*
Metal Man (GM): Demon moves 1 AGI into the ceiling. To take it down will then take about 6 AGI of ripping it to bits. Do you decide to use the rest of your turn and possibly the next to accomplish that, Demon?
King Demon: *Yeah, sure, he starts hacking away at the ceiling supports.*
Metal Man (GM): ECA decides to attack Louisoix, having opted to try to take him out this time. Louisoix: Which type of defense do you do?
Louisoix blocks using the Barrier Blastia.
Metal Man (GM): The attack hits for 50% damage, 82 damage to Louisoix.
28 damage remains on you after you healed yourself some.
Now you've taken a total of 110 damage out of your 200 HP.
He then attacks Valron with the explosions again; what defense do you use, Valron?
Valron blocks as well.
Metal Man (GM): 165 damage again to Valron.
Valron: *And, there he goes. He almost comes crashing down again, though he still seems to be hanging in there.*
Louisoix: "Geez, this guy hits like a truck. Maybe a steamroller."
Valron: *Even in spite of that attack, he goes to fly up into the ceiling and help Demon with bringing the ceiling right down on top of the ECA's head, going full Townshend on it.*
Metal Man (GM): The ceiling crashes downwards from the combined assault, using 3 of Valron's AGI.
King Demon: "TIMBER!"
Metal Man (GM): The ECA is... very strong.
Valron: *And then he plays a fuckin' power chord because of course*
Metal Man (GM): The entire ceiling crashes down, and with it, taking parts of the first floor with it, onto him.
King Demon presumably, he came crashing down along with the ceiling?
Metal Man (GM): Yes.
King Demon: "Oof! Ok, that landing SUCKED!"
Metal Man (GM): Pieces of the entryway to the building fall all over the place, spreading the chaos. 150 damage as the ECA stands up, still alive despite being smashed by all of that.
King Demon: "... We STILL didn't get him?"
Erastian Central Authority: "What's the matter. Never faced a durable opponent?"
Metal Man (GM): He laughs as he picks pieces of the floor out of his face.
King Demon: "Not in a couple years."
Xavier Ridgecrest: "Keep dropping floors on him! He'll eventually die!"
Louisoix: "Well, how many ceilings do we got left?"
Xavier Ridgecrest: "This place was ten floors so... plenty."
King Demon: "I intend to!" *He'd look up for more ceiling to drop.*
Metal Man (GM): Yes, you could blast him with an electric ele.
Coincidentally, the after-effect of all of this is that he can't readily counter, due to being buried in debris.
So you get a free hit, although at the expense it consumes the flooring in a giant explosion.
King Demon: *If he's allowed, would take back to the air again* (?)
Metal Man (GM): Yes, on your turn.
Valron: *Probably followed suit. He looks a tad amused, though he continues playing his tune, before going to jump back, continuing his idle shredding... before once again rocking out, letting loose an elec Ele, attempting to devastate the ECA now that it's covered in flooring!*
Metal Man (GM): 56 damage from the ele, + the explosion of the destruction, so another 14.
Erastian Central Authority: "I have survived a literal apocalypse, just so you know."
Louisoix casts Uruz on Valron.
Xavier Ridgecrest: "I guess we need to cause a second one to be certain."
Metal Man (GM): Uruz heals 240 of Valron's HP. Anything else, Louisoix?
Louisoix: *No unfortunately, lol.*
Metal Man (GM): Xavier is in...
Artillery mode. He...
Uses an overkill onslaught and fires with...
The Legendary DVD launcher.
Two DVDs are fired; one is Wolverine: Origins, and the other is Miami Connection.
King Demon: "... You finally ran out of Gigli DVD's?"
Xavier Ridgecrest: "Sometimes it's good to diversify."
Metal Man (GM): 106 damage total.
Xavier goes in for another shot.
This time he takes out his hideously inaccurate megaphone.
Xavier Ridgecrest: "AHHHHHHHHHHHH MACARENA!!!!"
Metal Man (GM): It predictably misses, and Xavier takes 35 damage.
I'll probably pause after this one. Demon, going up to rip out the ceiling again?
King Demon: *He actually looks at the floor, wondering how solid It is.*
Metal Man (GM): You can see that there is actually a deeper floor beneath this one, if you wish to attempt to rip this floor apart. No telling how far down it goes, either.
King Demon: "Huh..." *He actually would do so; the robot may be right, they may not be able to beat it physically, but if they can get it out of the way... And, for that matter, if the other ceiling comes crashing down, it'll have that much farther to fall before hitting the robot, thus that much more speed and damage.*
Metal Man (GM): Demon uses his turn to attempt to damage the floor here. On that note, we'll pause here, with this last line from the ECA.
Erastian Central Authority: "Interested in what goes on down there, hmmm? Well. We'll see soon enough!"
King Demon: "Hey, if nothing else, I can have some fun trashing the place more than it already is!"
Metal Man (GM): On that note...-
PAUSE
