Date: 7:08:02 PM, May 20th, 2017.
Metal Man (GM): Recap: Last Kit knew, she was helping hack into the signs and got a deal with Zinyo to help deal with Vetrek. Vetrek was, well, going to forcibly take over the planet by acquiring all the Five Corporations. Of course, during the time that passed, the Questers eventually took over security cameras so as to put Vetrek and "Thanatos" in the dark, and now were going to take out both. The others have already left, but KitRedgrave is still on the ship. But Kit isn't alone; there is also Illian. Continuation!
Illian MacGregor: "Hello there. The others have already left, but I figured, you could help. There's going to be some fighting against Vetrek and this dragon thing called 'Thanatos' and... need your help. You were the one who knew a lot about the comms on Onta'vis, yes?"
Metal Man (GM): Also, in this case, you're still in the hotel room, after the others have left.
KitRedgrave: "...Thanatos? Dragon? That's news."
Illian MacGregor: "Yeah, while you were out, the others discovered this thuggish person who could coordinate a group of people to just shoot up whoever he disliked. He was interacting with Marley and otherwise seemed rather vicious. Some sort of dragon from the planet Chark nearby, or so I hear."
KitRedgrave: "So... a real jerk then. What's this guy got to do with Vetrek? And ... sorry I kinda just zoned out for a bit."
Illian MacGregor: "Potentially rather powerful... Nonna is leading a group to deal with him. But. I figured we would work together to take out the comms of the security forces here, because I have reason to believe that if they get wind of all of this, they'll mess everything up. It's fine. I do the same thing all the time. Having the lives of my people and my own past life... it's overwhelming to think about. Thanatos may be plotting to kill both us and Vetrek. He thinks himself more powerful than any of us. I have my doubts as to how powerful he is and am tempted to just kill him myself, but... that is a dangerous line of thinking. What energy I have can just as easily corrupt me if I use it too much. You didn't revive me just for me to go down the same path as I did before, after all. That's why though you zoned out, I made sure when you came to you wouldn't have any issues. You did the same for me, after all."
KitRedgrave: "Yeah. Better to not do that unless it's, like, a *Really* good sane reason. ... and thank you."
Illian MacGregor: "If we ever got into deep trouble, I still have this."
Metal Man (GM): Illian takes out Vendetta.
Illian MacGregor: "But it was a dark chaos weapon made by an evil madman. I cannot truly trust it. So... the plan is for us to disrupt the communications... not the Zinyo ones, but the other Four Corporations. You think you're up to it?"
KitRedgrave: "Indeed. Probably not gonna need it this time ... this place's entire infrastructure is really, really not guarded well."
Illian MacGregor: "That's what happens when you make it based on the lower bidder, after all."
KitRedgrave: "We could probably make a lot of very devious things happen before anyone even notices. Unless it's some convoluted double-ploy kinda thing."
Illian MacGregor: "Anything else you need to do before we go? We're the last ones out of this hotel... the others didn't notice because they had to leave in a hurry."
KitRedgrave: "They *Do* seem that clever."
Illian MacGregor: "It's hard to say. We fear Thanatos may be running such a double-ploy. It is perhaps his people and the Corlaxus Corporation that may end up fighting us as we interfere with their machines."
KitRedgrave: "Darn, maybe they'll actually know what they're doing then. Oh well, I'd rather be dealing with them then fighting whatever horrible dragon thing face-on."
Illian MacGregor: "If it comes to that... The Book would be our best weapon. It cannot warp this world. But it certainly could cast spells powerful enough to make that entity stop in their tracks. Like Vendetta, it is probably not to be abused. But this is a war for the universe, so we have to use what's on the table, if it is necessary."
KitRedgrave: "Yeah. Better to not even have to in the first place. So ... where and when do we need to be?"
Illian MacGregor: "Well, here's where we need to be."
Metal Man (GM): Illian makes a simple hologram And reveals down the street, in an area full of satellite dishes.
Illian MacGregor: "Down here exists the communications systems that underlie the entire area's security network."
KitRedgrave: "That... definitely looks like where it'd be. Really obvious for everyone to see."
Illian MacGregor: "It's guarded by some basic guards, and security cameras. Well, there are redundant links. We don't intend on shutting everything down, just... jamming it temporarily."
Metal Man (GM): Illian goes to lead you outside. The streets seem... more cleared out than before. The skies are a bit gray, and there is some tension in the air. There's a really large escalator that goes up to an elevated area, near where the satellite dishes are A bunch of people in dark uniforms are busy guarding it. There's also those signs that are watching everybody around it.
Illian MacGregor: "Hmmm... Got any ideas, Kit? I'm too used to, well... Creating a massive explosion and having everyone run in terror. You know. The thing you do when you're drunk on ev--power. Granted, my thought this time is to scare rather than injure. I mean. Maybe those guys in visors could some day be our allies."
KitRedgrave: "Yeah. Also, FYI, you shouldn't really say too much around the signs..."
Illian MacGregor: "Oh?"
Metal Man (GM): He looks at the signs.
KitRedgrave: "You never know what *Great deals* you'll get..."
Metal Man (GM): You'd see Illian's own visor has a huge amount of magitek threads on it. He raises his eyebrow at it.
KitRedgrave: "And who's sending them to ya."
Metal Man (GM): He gestures to The Book, for some reason.
Illian MacGregor: "There's this great book you should read. It's where I write down my stories about scaring people, you know. I get a bit too carried away with my fantasies sometimes."
Metal Man (GM): Some guards do walk by and stare at Illian. However, they see something else elsewhere and suddenly lose interest, running off.
KitRedgrave: "...I guess that's one way."
Illian MacGregor: "Oh... well... not quite..."
Metal Man (GM): Illian holds up a hand and you see some Solarian text that idly says on his hand The others have begun. Then he points to The Book again.
KitRedgrave would go and take a look at the good book then. Maybe there'd be some advice in these trying times. X3
Metal Man (GM): The Book starts showing cryptic text in it that's not anything you'd recognize Except that it seems to form patterns That eventually begin to form words... Illian's words. When he touches it, anyway.
Illian MacGregor: "As I was saying, this book here, is the best seller of tomorrow, about the future of Onta'vis." *In Book text* 'We need some way to distract those guys.'
Metal Man (GM): The words are ephemeral, vanishing and flickering, to make them not easily visible to any camera. And made in hideous cursive writing. You do notice, standing out here, some other guards, the ones guarding it, are beginning to look a bit leery at Illian. It isn't helping matters that he exudes an atmosphere of coldness and ominous-ness. Illian's cape flutters in the wind. That SAID, it is true. They don't feel confident in approaching him.
KitRedgrave: "I ... see. Yeah. This is really somethin' here. Maybe we should start advertising it. Get some buzz..." *She would look around at the magic cords everywhere, looking for something like the fire alarm or a data port to pipe something *Very distracting* into.*
Metal Man (GM): Amusingly, the visors of the people there are connected to the network. This of course means that they can see through security cameras without even leaving their post, which is bad. But it also means you can mess with it. Part of the reason they're staring at Illian is, of course, Illian's own armor is somewhat like theirs, but made out of shiny silver metal. Even with a bunch of trendy clothes awkwardly put over it, the parts that stick out still do so. As such, it's like a weird cross between refrigerator and ninja and superhero that is walking with you. That said, there are other weird entities here. And they are also looking at you--there don't seem to be a lot of other Alsans here.
KitRedgrave: "Just need to find the place to start ..." *She flips through the Book for something non-identifying yet *Horrible* ...*
Metal Man (GM): Well, when you look in The Book... There is very specifically a series of necromantic spells that were used to terrify people, used by Dyne himself. A custom spell of sorts, it targets the target's worst fears. If you just want video feed... That would go to various bits of information, either from the past of Nintendus (which consists of a lot of weird and nonsensical nonsense, but not horrible) or...
KitRedgrave: "...ooh. This'll really make a splash. Maybe too spicy for TV though." *She would also look over and see if they can actually see people right in front of them, or it's *Only* the cameras.*
Metal Man (GM): It's hard to say. The Alsan ones might be identifying. They can see people in front of them. They're seen looking around, in fact. The TV screens are normally only a corner of their vision, but can be expanded to fill their vision.
KitRedgrave: "Well, I got something here. But, hoo boy. I don't know if it'll hurt more than it'll help ... but it'll do the trick."
Illian MacGregor: "Well. We have the other option if it hurts, but go ahead. I'm not one to be picky."
Metal Man (GM): As you can tell by his body language, Illian seems unconcerned.
KitRedgrave would splice into the camera network, and flip back over to Dyne's Mental Health Banishment spell. Then casts it into the video feed, and tries to also make it take up everyone's vision.
Metal Man (GM): You cannot target literally everyone, but you can target multiple people. There are currently 10 guards around the satellite dishes. You figure you could target up to about... 4 of them before you begin to overload your ability to concentrate.
Illian MacGregor: "If you need anything I can help you make the best presentation, anyway."
Metal Man (GM): Illian is capable of also casting spells... if you have anything you'd want him to do. He is diminished in capability compared to you, but still further than most normal people ..Also because the main spell he often cast, before and now, is usually "Chop enemy into spaghetti" or "BURN TO THE GROUND." You could flood a security camera but these people are on different channels, unfortunately. So you'd only hit a few selectively, up to 4 at a time basically. SO yeah, they aren't all in one channel, unfortunately.
KitRedgrave would look around at what guards are around and where... gotta choose this carefully.
Metal Man (GM): It's a box and there's four sides. Four guards facing you, two on the left, three on the right, one on the side not facing you on the back. Behind them is an electrified chain-link fence. And behind THAT is the satellite dishes.
KitRedgrave would mentally destroy one guard on every side, in the hopes that the ensuing chaos would let the both of them make a break for it.
Metal Man (GM): Let's see what the dice say... Pretty high it seems, so those four are... well, the ancient evil spell horrifies them with things they fear most.
Guard 4: "Oh no! My card collection is in flames! Ahhhhhhhh!!!!"
Metal Man (GM): The other guards end up spinning around. Many of them are asking things like...
Guard 3: "Wait, what? What are you seeing? Who would give you a comms channel of that?"
Metal Man (GM): As another guard holds his visor and shakes his head.
Guard 7: "This isn't real... what is this... somebody make it stop..." *Takes the visor off* "Ah... that's better... ...what the hell happened to our visors?"
Guard 8: "Somebody radio HQ. Something is seriously wrong with our visors."
Metal Man (GM): So, now, tactically speaking, you have a few moments. What shall you attempt during this distraction? Trying to go through the gate? OK. The gate is as such: A chain-link fence that is electrified, barbed wire on top. 10 feet tall. It's locked with... an ordinary padlock, but it's metallic so it's also electrified. One of the guards is standing right next to it, though they're distracted by their coworker who's busy yelling "NO, NOT THE GEESE! ANYTHING BUT THE GEESE!" There's no obvious 'alarm' buttons, but you can tell they can easily go to request backup with their comms. Coincidentally that's what you intend to disable! And the center of that is... behind the fence. Of course, you can see the threads from here, if you want to do something quickly or ask Illian for something. Yes, you can go for the speed option. Gonna do that? Nothing blocks you from doing that. They don't seem to even HAVE any defenses for that.
KitRedgrave: "...get ready to go hostile, real fast. Going for it!" *She would then spring off *Over* the fence, and go for the comms while everyone's freaking out. Hopefully there's not some clever trick waiting ... but she keeps an eye out for any hidden spell traps over there going for it.*
Illian MacGregor: "Well if you say so."
Metal Man (GM): They take out their guns and go to point it at you. Then Illian rips off his paper-thin disguise and they stare at him instead.
Guard 3: "What the hell?"
Illian MacGregor: "I AM ILLIAN, DESTROYER OF WORLDS. I HAVE COME... TO SELL YOU ENCYCLOPEDIAS."
Metal Man (GM): They are momentarily too confused to do anything. You only get one shot while he confuses them and the previous spell winds down, so... what you can see in your limited amount of time: There's the power to the entire system right here on the left. On the right is a server that's pumping out the comms data everywhere. And in the center is... A bunch of wires you don't know where they go to or anything. Oh, and the fence electrification switch is right inside as well. That is, to turn it off. Oh, and you can basically do ONE thing before inevitably they go to raise the alarm. What happens when they do that... will obviously depend on what you do in here.
KitRedgrave would fire off a Bang or two at the server pumping out data, hoping to break it badly enough to stop the alarms from coming out.
Metal Man (GM): The server explodes, as you hit the power supply to it. The guards point their guns at Illian but hesitate to fire the trigger. They go to call out the alarm...
Guard 4: "Shit, they blasted the server! It's all broken! And my card collection is still burning!"
Guard 5: *Smacks Guard 4* "Just arrest them already!"
Metal Man (GM): Guard 4 goes to apprehend Illian. Guard 5 smacks him again.
Guard 5: "That man, while insane, is not the one blowing up the servers!"
Guard 6: "...How do we get in there while it's electrified, again?"
Guard 4: "...Nobody is supposed to get in there except the qualified people!"
Guard 5: "We kind of need to get into there right now."
Metal Man (GM): One of them takes out their gun and shoots the padlock.
Guard 5: "I think that should be good enough."
Guard 4: "You broke company property!"
Guard 5: "That fox blew up company property, you numbskull!"
Metal Man (GM): I see Steal, Slow, Range, or Disable, Confuse, Range, or Weapon, Teamup, Damage, Range. No env hazard that I can see, unless you modified it. Granted, you now have a single guard kicking the gate in and going in to try to apprehend you, while the others just gesture to Illian to 'stay out of this.' Illian seems somewhat conflicted, because he's reaching for Vendetta, only to stop himself. It's easy to tell he's more skilled at killing people than disabling them.
Guard 4: "Uh... get that fox then... before the creepy guy wigs out."
Guard 6: "Don't we need to stop him too?"
Guard 4: "Uh... well, he's not done anything that'll hold up in court."
Guard 6: "That's true, company lawyers will dock their pay out of ours if we frivolously cause them to be used."
Metal Man (GM): Almost; you can see the threads are re-routing. The wires in the back seem to be pulsing with increasingly more threads, and you have that guy behind you pointing his gun at you.
Guard 5: "You... fox person... you're going to jail for this. Or, if you have enough credits, you can always pay off your fine now. But you really do need to get out of here and stop breaking things."
KitRedgrave would give herself a Ward, and go for the wires in the back.
Guard 5: "They're ignoring me. What am I to do? I can't contact HQ!"
Guard 4: "Shoot 'em?"
Guard 6: "No no no! Use the baton!"
Metal Man (GM): Illian goes to walk in now that the door is open.
Guard 6: "Hey! Stay away from us! This isn't an under-zone alley you can go steal things from, you hobo!"
Illian MacGregor: *Sigh* "Do I have to start killing you to get you to believe I'm not a crazy idiot? Is that what you want?"
Guard 6: "Well, no. Hobos that kill people are murderhobos."
Illian MacGregor: "...Now I've heard everything."
Metal Man (GM): You go for the wires in the back. What's your plan--just break them, or do something specific?
KitRedgrave would get an evil look on her face and try to call up a good Disruption against the wires. Cursing the heck outta them. >:3
Metal Man (GM): Disruption does something quite fantastic. It energizes the wires. A giant sun ends up appearing on the comms dish, projecting strange disorientating laughter, then it explodes, causing the lights and all the comms to flicker. You've pretty well fried it, now. Note to others: THIS was the huge explosion you heard in the distance earlier. Guard 5 stares in shock and awe, backing away.
Guard 5: "W-what are you people?"
Illian MacGregor: "Well I'd tell you, but. Stealth and all. Now let us go if you don't want to explode."
Metal Man (GM): The guards decide this is above their pay grade and just go to staying out of the way. It seems like all is done with... except another person walking in, having been attracted by the explosion. It's a man in black armor and a 'CORLAXUS LTD INC' logo on his chest.
Defensor: "You have broken Corlaxus Inc. Ltd property. You must cease and desist or be punished. Surrender to us or you will be destroyed. I am a Defensor, the Elite Combat Unit. No others were summoned because of your ill deeds. Now however, I will stop you."
Illian MacGregor: "Hey Kit... ...you reckon this thing is something we want to leave alone?"
Defensor: "..." *Scans Illian* "Highly ILLEGAL Solarian technology..."
Illian MacGregor: "Hey, it's my religion to wear this giant armor suit, you can't take that away from me."
Defensor: "...No, you have armor from another dimension. That is strictly illegal, the anti-dimensional trafficking act is iron clad."
Illian MacGregor: "Oh boy, somebody who actually reads those things."
KitRedgrave: "Well, we can't let 'em go. People will actually listen."
Illian MacGregor: "So then, shall we... deal with this?"
Metal Man (GM): You can opt to fight this thing, or try to run away. Up to you.
KitRedgrave would as always be considering this new person. Any kind of obvious magic tricks or gotchas that she can see?
Metal Man (GM): They seem fairly mundane, but high tech. They have an assault rifle, some future-plastic body armor, and are all very sleek. Compared to Illian's ostentatious shoulderpads and glowing metal lights, they seem much more what a modern futuristic movie would have, compared to Illian's 80s-ish appearance. Or even 70s-ish if you take how Illian is all very well polished aluminum-looking.
Defensor: "Your armor is not only illegal but outdated, Solarian. I don't know why you even bothered to bring it."
KitRedgrave: "...I think we better deal with 'em. No idea what'll happen if someone who actually notices things gets out."
Illian MacGregor: "Well to be honest it's a distraction. Right, let's wreck this guy."
Guard 4: "Should we help him?"
Guard 5: "No. It's too dangerous. Remember what the handbook said about mages?"
Guard 4: "Ah... right..."
Defensor: "Low level guards, stay where you are. You're already on thin ice for not alerting us immediately."
Metal Man (GM): And thus... BATTLE: VS. DEFENSOR.
KitRedgrave would immediately Alter herself invisible (because it does that now), and then Kinesis fling herself off somewhere else (because that does that now) in a weird angle a little closer in to the Defensor.
Metal Man (GM): The Defensor can't tell what the heck just happened.
Defensor: "..." *Taps his comms* "I hate that you broke the comms. No one would believe me but I'm pretty certain this is crazier than anything they told me about in training."
Metal Man (GM): Anything else this round, Kit? Even if he could see you, he couldn't really get at you. You're, like, standing atop a light pole. Anything medium range or longer range can get him. He could shoot at you but as far as he can see you're a weird light distortion that's barely visible. And he didn't even fully get a good look at you in the first place. Also he'd have to contemplate whether he wants to break the light to get at you... While Illian is busy breathing down his neck.
KitRedgrave would then quickly cast another Bang at the Defensor's battle rifle, and then end turn with 3 agility points left in case all that does try to happen.
Metal Man (GM): You jam the rifle by causing a bullet to prematurely fire inside of the gun.
Defensor: "Ack!"
Metal Man (GM): Illian decides to use his immense size to just grab the guard. The Defensor blocks. He only takes 15 damage in the scuffle.
Defensor: "You won't throw me anywhere, freak!"
Metal Man (GM): Illian however, keeps attacking. And attacking. You see Illian basically scuffling with him and eventually overpowering him not through brute force but just... determination. Eventually Illian hurls him into the electrified fence, dealing another 30 damage.
Illian MacGregor: "Consider yourself lucky. I could have tried to kill you, but, well, we don't do that so much anymore." *Mutters to himself in Solarian.*
Defensor: "Guh... one freak hides on a light pole... the other one can pick a grown man up and hurl him like a football... who ARE you people?"
Metal Man (GM): The Defensor takes 1 AGI to just simply unclog the rifle. It's not broken, after all, just had a jam.
Defensor: "You might not want to kill me, but it's too late for that now. You've broken far too much property! But if one of you plans on hiding, that suits me fine... I'll just take out this huge target standing in front of me."
Metal Man (GM): He coldly opens fire on Illian. Illian, naturally, goes to do... the infamous somersault thing. He hits Illian once. But also gets really frustrated.
Defensor: "What kind of human can move that fast?"
Illian MacGregor: "That's Solarian to you."
Metal Man (GM): The Defensor gets angry and fires at Illian some more. He shoots Illian several more times. Illian's constant dodging doesn't work so well this time. Illian is still standing, though.
Defensor: "...Well, I have to admit. Your armor is out of date, but you can take a lot of bullets. I'll have to call for better guns when the comms come back up."
Illian MacGregor: "Don't worry about me Kit... just take him out. I can handle myself." *Coughs, a bit bloodied.*
KitRedgrave would Kinesis fling herself up off of the lightpole ... and then try to Baton Toss with the Defensor.
Metal Man (GM): You hear him grunt and smash into things as he falls back down again, taking 30 more damage. He's looking pretty beaten up now, but he's still standing.
Defensor: "Guh... you love throwing me around..." *He clicks his radio.* "Grrr... why is it that I have to deal with you alone..."
Metal Man (GM): His pretty armor is all scratched up, now. It was meant for deflecting bullets. Being hurled around like this isn't what it's good at. Anything else, Kit?
KitRedgrave then would Ele fire onto the Defensor twice, and then end turn with ... 3 AGI left.
Metal Man (GM): 48 and 48 again. The eles really burn him good. He's burnt to a crisp and seemingly about to be horribly burnt to death by it when Illian casually mutters some words--
Illian MacGregor: "Warmth of the sun, spare this imbecile from death."
Metal Man (GM): A glowing sun emblem appears and heals the man enough that he's not dead. Then Illian casually steals his gun and his helmet.
Illian MacGregor: "Gotta be careful with those Ele spells. You can burn a man to a crisp in seconds. Wasn't too bad though... he probably only saw the pearly gates for a few seconds."
KitRedgrave: "I didn't remember those being *That* strong."
Illian MacGregor: "This guy isn't very strong. Our kind of magic can kill these guys quickly. Heck, I was having to stop myself from... welll..."
Metal Man (GM): He points to the steep drop nearby.
Illian MacGregor: "Coulda just hurled him off of that. That said, this asshole tried to kill us, so..."
Metal Man (GM): Illian casually steps on the man's wrist, fracturing it.
Illian MacGregor: "Don't want him to have an easy time trying to shoot people again. This gun's garbage, too. I mean. It's not bad, but... ...not my quality. Still keeping it for scrap, though."
KitRedgrave: "Yeah. Hopefully these happenings just *Sound* so ridiculous that nobody believes them."
Illian MacGregor: "This was just the beginning. I'm certain more like him may try to get revenge later on in our travels. The way of the universe is ticking off different factions to help others. We helped Zinyo by doing this, but Colaxus will probably go out of their way to attack us in the future. ...And the Time Cops also suffered from this, I'm getting reports the others succeeded and both Thanatos and Vetrek are messed up. Well, mostly Vetrek. Thanatos... ...Sounds way outside of what we can deal with. Anyway, time to go."
KitRedgrave: "...Yeaaah. Also, you OK? I kinda just left you to get it back there."
Metal Man (GM): Illian stands there, bleeding his weird Solarian blood.
Illian MacGregor: "I should probably heal myself. Not enough time though... ...I'll just be careful."
KitRedgrave: "Alright. I'll do a better job of making sure you don't get left out like that."
Illian MacGregor: "Thanks... nobody has really cared about me before. But I guess you did decide to revive me, so it'd be a shame if I died."
KitRedgrave: "I ... kinda thought you'd just be a ridiculous invincible supertank, given the last time we fought."
Illian MacGregor: "The power is there. It's just too dangerous to use. But it does mean trying to kill me is... difficult. It's because of, well..."
KitRedgrave: "I see. Well, yeah, let's get out of here then before they figure out what happened."
Illian MacGregor: "One swing of my lightsaber and he'd be dead, but. Then he'd be dead. We have a warp out point... it goes this way." *He points down the street.*
KitRedgrave: "Alright. Let's get outta here ... and talk about this later some other time, if you want. We never did get the chance to."
Illian MacGregor: "I'd be glad to."
Metal Man (GM): He goes to walk down the street. He walks down, and there is a man in a suit, blocking the portal. It's a very ordinary man. However, Illian stops in his track.
Illian MacGregor: "It's a Time Cop."
Zalman: "Oh... look at that... Illian. I see you've taken to petty fighting with security guards after your latest scheme failed."
Illian MacGregor: "I'm afraid you've got me confused with somebody else..."
Zalman: "Oh... really?"
Illian MacGregor: "The one you speak of would have just killed you. Me, however... I've found some degree of peace."
Zalman: "Ahuh. Ael remembers how you forgot about him. It's all too likely you just pretend to be innocent so I won't stop you from leaving."
Illian MacGregor: "What're you gonna do here? You aren't related to all of this nonsense right now, are you?"
Zalman: "To be honest, no, I am not. But you're not... clean."
Metal Man (GM): Zalman points at Illian.
Zalman: "You can't just get away with trying to kill all the Time Cops and pretend you're clean now. Now then. You're going to come with me, or you're going to die. I don't care which you pick."
Metal Man (GM): Illian sighs and takes out the non-aggression treaty. Zalman laughs a bit.
Zalman: "Heh heh heh heh... there is something you missed about all of that... Certainly. I can't harm any of those Questers. Not even the fuzzy animal right next to you that you have as a pet. But what are you, huh?"
KitRedgrave: "Not even the same Illian, I should add. We killed the hell out of that one a while ago."
Zalman: "Last I heard, you were a Protector, or a Defender... something other than a Quester."
Metal Man (GM): He looks at Kit.
Zalman: "Interesting. Got any proof?"
KitRedgrave: "If the Illian you're talking of were still around, then wouldn't you think Alsa would still be a horrible radioactive mess? That he'd even *Bother* hanging around here, not destroying literally everything?"
Zalman: "Yes, I observed recently that you repaired Alsa. But I need proof as to what he is. And proof the other one is dead... or otherwise, his location. If any of this is even true. I am a law abiding man. Based on what you've said, I may have to merely capture him. But..." *He clenches a fist.* "The one who led to Ael's death. The one who let Autumnus control everything. He must die for what he has done. Especially for killing the other Time Cops. It is only just. I only want what is just. That is why I haven't gone on a killing spree like Autumnus probably plots to do. But I have the power to ensure no one escapes... I came so close once before, I'm not going to fail this time."
Metal Man (GM): Illian gets a weird smirk on his face.
Illian MacGregor: "So you're on your way to becoming like I was."
Zalman: "What?"
Illian MacGregor: "I swore to kill the people who threatened my people... That was why that me died."
KitRedgrave: "I can tell you where we killed him, and where his charred corpse is."
Zalman: "I assure you, your ludicrous story of not being the same Illian isn't going to fool m--" *he pauses.* "Really? ...Where. I can know in an instant if it's false, so don't tell me a lie."
KitRedgrave: "Angel Island."
Metal Man (GM): He rolls his eyes and then looks... ...and then pauses.
Zalman: "That is... ...It's half of the information I need. What is THIS one, then? He had multiple lives. I can't be certain you aren't just pointing to one of him."
Illian MacGregor: "I'm guessing you don't believe in souls."
KitRedgrave: "Well, let's just say I got to meet him back before he went insane, and made a copy."
Zalman: "What did you use to copy him?"
KitRedgrave: "Same thing I've been using to clean up Alsa."
Zalman: "This... shouldn't be possible. To copy him... anything could happen... ..."
Metal Man (GM): He stares, and then shakes his head.
Zalman: "You're a real loophole aren't you. I have no choice to let you go, but keep yourself warned--because I will have it modified so that I can destroy you. Even a copy of the one who killed those I cared about must die, eventually. ...But yes, you can breathe filthily aware that you made one hell of a loophole."
Metal Man (GM): He crushes his cigarette in his hand and walks off, furious.
Illian MacGregor: "...We should plan to do something about that one. He knows too much. And is entirely too determined. I thought he died ages ago."
Metal Man (GM): Illian goes to walk into the portal, exhaling a bit.
KitRedgrave: "Yeah. Something... something hopefully closer to reasoning."
Illian MacGregor: "If it were up to me, his head would be on a pike for threatening me. But you were the one who gave me this second chance. So I will see about what would be the less violent way. You'll have to take the lead though. I'm bad at that sort of thing. Good at tricking people... not at actual reasoning. It's a blessing and a curse."
Metal Man (GM): He walks into the warp back.
KitRedgrave: "I can kinda understand why he'd be like that." *He follows through the warp.*
Metal Man (GM): You warp back, aaaaaaaaaaaaand we finish here.
