Super Smash Quest - Story - Chapter 149: Absurdity Mountain

Gibby follows Digi.
Metal Man (GM): Digi: The warp tile is online. It goes to Death Mountain.
Charles Magellean: "You really want to risk defeating Zio's weapon without our own secret weapon?"
Wolfman: "Well, how do you suggest we handle it? We don't have much direction to go on this time."
Charles Magellean: "We ask Mister Mack where to retrieve the blasted thing."
VG lets Wolfman and VG argue... he goes to the warp room, and sees a tile instead of a pipe this time.
Wolfman: *Turns to Mack* "Where exactly do we retrieve the secret weapon that will stop the other secret weapon?"
Charles Magellean: "That's all I needed to know; let's go."
Mack: "Well. That it doesn't say. It says that the Saxophone Bones are highly rare and a secret weapon..."
Charles Magellean: "...well... That's all I needed to know; let's go."
Mack: "It says a guy named Razor who disappeared had them."
Wolfman: "Aye."
Charles Magellean goes to the warp room.
Mack: "That's all I could get out of that wrinkled gibberish."
Wolfman goes to the Warp Room with locos now.
VG: "...what took you two so long?" *Talking to the late arrivals.*
Charles Magellean: "Discussing the benefits of having a fax machine over deliveries from the outside."
VG has a confused look on his face...
Wolfman: "Are we ready to depart now?"
Digifanatic: "Anyways..."
Charles Magellean: "Wolf, a fax machine is better to have than a letter. Let's stand on da tiles!"
Gibby steps on the tile.
Charles Magellean steps.
Digifanatic is about to step on the tile... "Hang on, I think I see Ari rushing into here, let's not forget him..."
VG steps onto the tile; Wolfman follows.
Metal Man (GM): *WARPD* You all appear in the mountain land... at the very top.
Digifanatic steps onto the tile.
Metal Man (GM): The mountain is different from OOT; the volcano is rather inset. It's raining and wet up here. Lightning occasionally fries nearby trees.
Digifanatic: "Well then..."
Metal Man (GM): You can see avalanches down below.
Charles Magellean gets into his chair and activates his shielding.
Gibby: "Not exactly weather friendly."
Metal Man (GM): You must cross a battered rim of the volcano before reaching a large base.
Wolfman: "I'll agree with you."
Charles Magellean: "...I ain't gonna travel in rain. Not with good clothes on."
VG: "Don't tell me your autograph book isn't waterproof."
Charles Magellean: "Then I won't. And it's a signature book."
VG: .oO(It isn't waterproof.)
Metal Man (GM): So then. Going ahead?
Wolfman tries to figure out the safest path to this base...
Metal Man (GM): Well... there's no such thing. The volcano area is plagued by a variety of ruins.
Gibby: "Who wants to go first?"
Digifanatic: "Well... might as well start wing it."
Metal Man (GM): Dead robots, magma flows, lightning... avalanches...
Wolfman tries to at least find a path that can be traversed.
Metal Man (GM): The right way across the rim of the volcano. It's treacherous but surpassable.
Wolfman thinks he sees what barely resembles a path... it will probably take us around the rim. He starts going on this path; VG will be behind me. "Come on guys."
Gibby walks behind VG. "I'm probably gonna regret this..."
Metal Man (GM): You start walking.
Charles Magellean put put put puts over the treacherous but surpassable path.
Digifanatic follows cautiously.

VG gets a look at the ruins... "...what happened here?"
Digifanatic: "Oh boy... Same here, Veeg."
Gibby: "Looks like a battle took place."
Smash Dex: "The battle between Meta Knight of the Magellean Military vs. Metal Sonic... As well as a confrontation between Bob, the Lord of Electric Death and The Questers."
Charles Magellean: "Meta Knight said that the attack was quick and ferocious."
Smash Dex: "There was also an early battle between the Questers and Dagon, but that was closer to the volcano."
Metal Man (GM): You walk past a Skyhigh-shaped hole in the ground.
Gibby: "Hmmmm..."
Wolfman gets a look at this hole... and chuckles.
Digifanatic: "Heh... is that... that can't be!"
Wolfman: "I think it is."
Charles Magellean: "It's a hole."
VG: "Look at the shape."
Gibby hums "memories" to himself.
Metal Man (GM): Do any of you look inside?
Charles Magellean: "Yep... nothing gets by you people."
VG gets a little closer to take a look... he IS short after all.
Digifanatic: "That guy still can't stop haunting us..."
Metal Man (GM): You see... a shop below. A Goron shop.
Charles Magellean: "Hey Gibby, jump into the hole." *He smiles.*
Gibby: "...k!"
VG: "...guys, anyone need items? I think there is a shop down there!"
Gibby jumps in.
Metal Man (GM): Gibby leaps in.
VG: "Hey, wait up!"
Charles Magellean: "Oh brother."
Digifanatic: "Nah, I got some back at the Stadium beforehand."
VG also jumps in.
Charles Magellean laughs.
Metal Man (GM): *crumbling noise.*
Goron: "Hurr! You guyss come in through hole in roof!"
Gibby: "Hey... I think I remember this place."
Wolfman: "Where are you two going?"
Charles Magellean: "They went into the hole."
Goron: "What you here forr? My roof ruined!"
Charles Magellean smils. "Hey Wolfman, jump into the hole!"
VG: "We saw something from above, and my friend was curious. I had to follow him."
Metal Man (GM): Down there, VG and Gibby would notice a primitive cloth thing with sticks that was keeping the rain out of the shop.
Gibby looks at the Goron. "Hello there. We noticed you had a shop, so we'd like to make some purchases."
Goron: "I remember you... Questerrs!"
Gibby: "That's right."
Goron: "It's been a longg time..."
Wolfman: "No thanks Locos..."
VG nods.
Digifanatic decides to hop down anyway just to be back up with the others...
Goron: "Do you want to buy anything or get back up to the surfacceee?"
Charles Magellean: "Come on... it'll be fun!" (make an int check. DC 15)
Digifanatic: *...well, Gibby at least.*
VG: "What are your wares?"
Digifanatic: "Oh, hey Wolf."
Wolfman: "...whatever you say..." *Jumps in* (Locos, I don't like you)
Goron: "Nothing but the traditional Hyrule type, yess! Ohhh... and these tunics! Fire Tunics!"
Charles Magellean laughs very hardly.
Goron: "Only 5000 coins per tunic! One size fits everything!"
Digifanatic: "Hmm... Fire Tunics... that's something I haven't seen."
VG: "Fire Tunics, huh? What makes them so great?"
Wolfman should be arriving in the store any moment.
Charles Magellean: "Hey Digi... jump into the hole."
Metal Man (GM): Wolfman and Digi are now in the store as well.
Charles Magellean put put puts and descends into the "store."
Goron: "Uhhh... they protect you from fire! Ohhh... and... uhhh... they help you finish your current mission."
Wolfman: "...how do you know about our mission?"
VG is thinking about buying this tunic...
Goron: "Well, have you ever gone on a none-mission?"
Digifanatic: "None-mission?" *He scratches his head.*
Gibby: "I remember these things. They were useful before, so I bet they'll be useful again. I'll take one."
Goron: "You have to be up here for some reason. So, why not get some tunics to help yah! Okay then."
Digifanatic: "Okay then!" *He unhastily gives the Goron a 5000-coin bill.*
Wolfman: "...alright."
Metal Man (GM): *Digifanatic and Gibby have obtained: Fire Tunic!*
Wolfman gives the Goron 4000 coins; Resource Quirk should work here.
Gibby takes out a bag with 5000 coins, and tosses it to the Goron.
Charles Magellean arrives into the store from above now.
Gibby: "Thanks." *He puts it on.*
VG gets out a bag of 5000 coins and SMB2-style throws it on the counter.
Metal Man (GM): It fits snugly.
Digifanatic: "Don't worry... it does NOT make you look fat, Gibby."
Metal Man (GM): It also does a new thing. It catches on fire while you're wearing it. Though the fire doesn't hurt you... It just keeps you warm.
Gibby: "...I wasn't thinking that..."
Digifanatic: "Just checking."
Gibby is now self conscious for the rest of the mission... thanks, Digi... thanks A LOT!
Metal Man (GM): *Wolfman/VG gain Fire Tunic!*
Charles Magellean: "Hello, people."
Goron: "Hello there Locos. Want a Fire Tunic?"
VG takes off his hat, puts on the tunic, and puts the hat back on.
Wolfman just... well, throws it on loosely.
Charles Magellean: "What for? We're only gonna stop by Zio's base and give him a visit."
Goron: "Okay then. But you might fall into the volcano and catch on fire!"
Digifanatic facepalms himself at his comment.
Charles Magellean: "..." *He waves his finger.*
Digifanatic: .oO(Why didn't you just shut up, Digi?!)
Charles Magellean: "Ah no you don't, swindler. You ain't gonna get me to pay high price for something that's inexpensive."
Gibby sucks in his gut.
Goron: "Alright then. Don't complain when yew catch on fire!"
Gibby: .oO(Mmmmm... burnt Locos...)
Digifanatic puts his on.
Goron: "Now yew people want out of heer without wandering through a fiery deathtrap, right? Well. Just use that spring there to get out through the hole!"
Charles Magellean: .oO(Mmmmm... fried Gibby...)
Wolfman: "Thank you sir." *He jumps on the Spring.*
Goron: .oO(Mmmmmm... profits...)
Metal Man (GM): There's a spring to leap out of the hole with.
Digifanatic walks onto the spring.
Gibby heads there.
Metal Man (GM): *BOING* *BOING.*
Gibby: "Thanks, Mr. Goron!"
Metal Man (GM): Gibby and Digi are bounced out of the shop.
Charles Magellean: "Merchant Goron, I'm wondering... how much profit you making from these sales?"
Goron: "Only 10 coins, mister."
VG and Wolfman also BOING ourselves out.
Charles Magellean: "What a terrible life. You really should relocate."
Goron: "I own the only shop fer miles!"
Charles Magellean put put puts and ascends back through the ceiling.
Metal Man (GM): You're back outside. You notice that a new magma eruption has engulfed some of the path.
Digifanatic pats Gibby on the head. "I didn't mean to upset you. Seriously, you look cute in that thing."
Metal Man (GM): Leaving you to leap across a few treacherous falling stones.
Gibby: "You better believe it."
VG gets a look at the recently... well, magma-fied path.
Digifanatic: "Oh yeah. The girls'll love ya, dude!"
VG: "Umm... guys? I think we better stop talking about fashion and start getting across."
Gibby: "Maybe I should wear tunics more often. It makes me look... mysterious!"
VG starts going across the stones... (remind me what check is needed for jumping here, and also remember that I have a midair jump and Quick Attack as backups)
Wolfman will go after VG.
Charles Magellean: "You guys go across first. I'll catch up after you're outta the way."
Gibby will go after Wolf.
Metal Man (GM): VG lands in the goop ..He takes 10% damage and is bounced back.
VG goes for mid-air jump then (smasher rule)
Metal Man (GM): Oh. Go ahead. You leap across.
Gibby goes across as well.
Wolfman goes for the jumping as well.
Metal Man (GM): Wolf leaps across easily.
Wolfman made it as well.
Digifanatic is after Gibby.
Gibby makes it across.
Metal Man (GM): Digi gets across.
Digifanatic is across without as much as a singe mark...
Metal Man (GM): That leaves Locos's SPD check.
Charles Magellean forgot to get outta second gear.
Metal Man (GM): Locos crashes into the magma. His chair force field is knocked out. Locos: Second SPD check. Hope you succeed, unless you like the smell of crispy Locos chair.
Charles Magellean switches into reverse, backs up into the air, and switches the Rocket Chair Mach 2 from second gear, and send this from a put put put to a.... *VVVVVVVVVRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMM.*
Metal Man (GM): Locos flies out of the magma doom.
Charles Magellean flies out of the magma doom... and goes veering past the other Questers.
VG: "Hey Locos, wait up!"
Gibby: "I gotta get me one of those chairs..."
VG thinks he made that chair go fast... is he either that desperate to finish this, or that lazy to walk?
Charles Magellean goes outta sight.... *VVVVVVVVVRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMM.*
Wolfman: "...we'll worry about him later. Let's just continue right now."
Digifanatic: "...Yeah."
Wolfman goes on the main "path" again.
Charles Magellean is now behind the Questers again...
Metal Man (GM): Well, up ahead is the base.
Charles Magellean passes the Questers again. *ERNEEERRRRRNNNNNN...*
Metal Man (GM): The front gates and surrounding fences are patrolled by men in black armor.
Gibby: "Hmmm..."
Metal Man (GM): Or... what appears to be men. It could be robots or aliens too.
Charles Magellean slows down and goes back to put put putting mode.
Metal Man (GM): There's two guarding the electrified front gates.
Digifanatic: .oO(NONE SHALL PASS!)
Charles Magellean: "...I circled Death Mountain twice."
Wolfman: *Whispers* "And are you sure you didn't get their attention?"
Metal Man (GM): A dazed tektite leaps off of Locos's chair and then flees.
Gibby: "... Anyway..."
Digifanatic: "Uh-huh..."
Charles Magellean: "...I got that tekite's attention."
Wolfman: *Whispers* "...never mind."
Charles Magellean: "They probably heard a buzzing sound when I whirled by."
VG: *Whispers* "Well, what should we do with the guards?"
Metal Man (GM): The guards mindlessly patrol the front gates.
Charles Magellean: "This is what we do."
Gibby listens in.
Charles Magellean: "Gibby..."
Gibby: "Yeah?"
Charles Magellean: "...See the button?"
Gibby: "...what button?"
Charles Magellean points to over at the base.
Gibby looks at the base.
Charles Magellean says this in a hyped voice. "That button! Go get the button! Go press the button before anyone else does!"
Metal Man (GM): The guards continually patrol. So boring. Besides from the rain.
Charles Magellean: "It's shiny... and Red!"
Gibby: "Locos, do us all a favor, and shut up!"
Charles Magellean: "I didn't know you were breaking the habit."
VG and Wolfman chuckle.
Metal Man (GM): You can't see through the gate, because it's thick and meshed.
Charles Magellean chuckles.
Gibby should smack him, but won't...
Charles Magellean: "Anybody got a missile?"
VG: "Will my Star Egg work?"
Charles Magellean: "Does it make an explosion?"
VG: "I need to get rid of my last one... it hasn't been working well. And it's supposed to."
Gibby: "We shouldn't cause attention. What if other guards come along?"
Wolfman: "Then we just do what we do best."
VG gives Locos his last Star Egg.
Gibby: "Meh... I guess."
Charles Magellean: "A diplomatic approach. I like that."
VG: "Keep the egg either way."
Charles Magellean takes VG's last Star Egg and puts it into one of his silos. "Let's see if I can attempt to aim this right..."
Gibby steps aside.
Digifanatic: "Well, give it a chuck." *He backs off a bit.*
Wolfman gives Locos his room.
VG does as well.
Charles Magellean looks into the telescope and cycles through various locations... and finds one that's about 500 meters to the west and up the hill from the base. "This is what we call back home 'effective misdirection.'" *He fires the Star Egg to a location that's way up on the hill and behind the base.*
Metal Man (GM): It flies off to there. No roll required. *BAMPF* It explodes there. You hear alarms go off.
Digifanatic: "Well, let's see..."
Metal Man (GM): Then a hail of yellow lasers destroy where it landed.
Gibby: "!!!"
Digifanatic: "They should fall for that!"
Metal Man (GM): Five guards appear there. They shoot down some trees and bushes. They're now wandering outside the base, shooting things.
Charles Magellean: "Now... would be our chance."
VG nods.
Digifanatic silently chuckles and gives Locos a thumbs-up.
Metal Man (GM): The two guards at the front remain patrolling.
Gibby: "Right!"
Digifanatic sees the guards. "Dang."
Gibby: "So much for that plan..."
Wolfman wonders how THEY will move...
Charles Magellean: "We better do a line formation."
Metal Man (GM): The wandering guards are getting closer to you guys.
Digifanatic: "Hmm... if I can get a projectile into the guard, won't those lasers nick the guard?"
Metal Man (GM): A path of fire and destruction is behind them.
Gibby: "Crap... they're getting close."
Digifanatic: "Never mind that."
Charles Magellean: "We step forward side by side or we get in single file line. That's my choice."
Wolfman: "...single file; you lead Locos." *He gets behind Locos; VG behind Wolfman.*
Gibby gets behind VG. "Sure..."
Charles Magellean: "Course... I was hoping they would only notice that location and be all worked up. Seems this plan just made it harder for ourselves."
Digifanatic enters behind Gibby.
Charles Magellean: "Coconuts ready?"
Metal Man (GM): You can see it now... these guys have twin blasters that fire 8x faster than any sane machinegun.
Gibby: "We're so screwed..."
Metal Man (GM): They also seem strangely tough.
Wolfman: "...Coconuts?"
Metal Man (GM): They walk through fire... and...
Digifanatic: "Oh my..."
Metal Man (GM): *BOOM* One of them is hit by lightning. That one is unphased.
Digifanatic drops his jaw at that...
Charles Magellean: "Yes. You bang two halves of a coconut together."
VG saw the guy survive from a lightning strike... oh brother.
Gibby: "Locos, let's stop and think for a second."
Digifanatic: "Now is not the time for that."
Metal Man (GM): A stray laser bolt flies over your heads and cuts down a tree.
Gibby: "We need a plan to fool these guys. If they're that powerful, they must lack intelligence."
Charles Magellean: "Now then... ten-hut... reverse direction by 180...and... march!"
Metal Man (GM): The patrolling guys look at the laser explosion, then continue patrolling. A nearby bush is burninated. They're getting really close.
Wolfman and VG march our way out, following Locos army style.
Charles Magellean moves to the left, and starts putting backwards.
Digifanatic follows Locos.
Gibby reluctantly follows.
Metal Man (GM): You got out just in time... the place where you were hiding is blasted into bits and pieces.
Charles Magellean: "At ease, troops!"
Metal Man (GM): The two patrolling guards notice the other guards and salutes them as they wander by, going to the other side of the base.
Charles Magellean stops his chair.
Digifanatic: *me halts He halts.*
Metal Man (GM): The five troops are now actually going further away from you.
Wolfman goes at ease.
Charles Magellean: "Okay... new plan. One that doesn't involve explosives."
VG: "Do we still have the all black clothes available from that stealth mission?"
Gibby: "I got an idea... work with me here. What if we pretended to be civilians injured by the 'intruders' that attacked. Maybe they'd let us in, and we could ambush them from there."
Digifanatic: "That's a good plan..."
Charles Magellean: "Except what if they don't allow civilians?"
Digifanatic: "But would they think the beings we look like look like civilians?"
Metal Man (GM): You see the alarms go off and the five troops go back into the complex. As in, turn off. No more alarms.
Wolfman: "...I'm unsure as to what to do here... we obviously can't walk in, explosives will go get us killed, and fighting will leave us embarrassed, AND killed."
Charles Magellean: "That's a great plan, Gibby. Why don't you test it?"
Gibby: "I would if the rest of you would come along. It would work better in numbers."
Digifanatic: "Well, explosions are heat... We have our tunics."
Charles Magellean clears his throat and points to himself.
Metal Man (GM): You just now notice two open doors near the main gate, though they're smaller.
Digifanatic: "Yeah, I know... That's the problem. Right." *He heads over to the doors.*
Wolfman: "Where are you going Digi?"
Gibby: "DIGI! Get back!"
Digifanatic: "Fine." *He hurries back.*
Gibby: "You trying to get us killed?"
Digifanatic: "No."
Charles Magellean: "Yeah, Digi. That's Gibby's job."
Digifanatic: "Does anyone have a cloak or something?"
Gibby ignores that.
VG: "The best I have..." *He checks through his bag.*
Metal Man (GM): By now, Locos is soggy wet. Like as if he'd leaped into a swimming pool.
Digifanatic: "If the explosions are not heat-sensitive... one of us could get through."
Metal Man (GM): The others stay dry due to the tunics.
Charles Magellean: "...I... hate... rain while wearing clothes."
VG: "I have some Super Sneakers, Molecular Pills, Debarrier Cubes, and Red Essences that might help."
Digifanatic: "Try the cube."
Charles Magellean: "Hmm... Super Sneakers don't work outside of a fight."
Digifanatic: "We should save our Essences for battle."
VG: "Alright... does that mean I have to run to the door and use a cube?"
Metal Man (GM): Some lightning strikes nearby. A bit of thunder too.
Gibby: "You could... toss it."
Charles Magellean screeches and tosses his chair accidentally into the wall nearby.
VG: "Someone else would be better tossing it then... I don't have THAT great of a throwing arm."
Gibby: "GAH!"
Metal Man (GM): *SMACK* It hits a nearby wall. The guards turn to it and open fire.
Wolfman looks to Locos... or rather, his chair...
Metal Man (GM): *EXPLOSION* The chair is a crater... which the two guards walk over to and repeatedly shoot.
Wolfman: "...well, that worked; let's hurry in."
Gibby: "...ok."
Wolfman goes into the base; VG is following.
Charles Magellean: "...:."
Gibby heads to the base.
Charles Magellean sulks as he walks.
VG: .oO(at least Locos has to walk with us now)
Metal Man (GM): How are you hurrying into the base? I mean, which door. That door is shut and electrified.
Gibby goes to the opened doors near the main gate.
Metal Man (GM): Gibby: Inside the door is a guard, which immediately notices you.
Gibby: "In here."
Guard: "..."
Gibby kinda died there.
Metal Man (GM): The guard turns invisible afterwards as Gibby is explodinated. The other two guards turn to the Questers. A third one comes out of the other, unexplored door.
Digifanatic rolls his eyes. "Here we go..."
Charles Magellean checks his watch.
Metal Man (GM): You're now surrounded by guards in black armor... which turn invisible.
VG: "...I don't want to fight them..." *Scared.*
Charles Magellean: "He just beat his own record by at least 1/5 the time."
Wolfman tries to find... the invisible guards...
Metal Man (GM): Do you attempt to flee or fight? People fleeing: You can escape without a roll. If you want to run inside the base, do a SPD check.
VG attempts to rush in.
Metal Man (GM): VG flees and rushes in while the invisible guards are preoccupied. Anyone else? I.E. Locos, Gibby?
VG wonders what he sees...
Metal Man (GM): *Pause* On VG alone. Gibby: You return on revival platform. What do you do? What DO you do?
Gibby: "Stupid... *Mumble mumble*. I'm going to fight these guys off. They'll pay!"
Charles Magellean checks his watch. He taps his foot.
Metal Man (GM): Locos. Fighting, fleeing, or nothing?
Charles Magellean: "I'm waiting for these bastards to apologize for mutilating my hover chair."
Guards: "..."
Metal Man (GM): Locos, Wolfman, Digi, Gibby: Please give your speeds.
Gibby takes out his gun.
Metal Man (GM): The guards are completely invisible. Digi discovers a fig newton laying on the ground.
Digifanatic: "My badge better help here guys..."
Charles Magellean: "Hey, you destroyed it and I want a damn apology. So I let go of it because of that freak thunder sound. That gave those that fire on it no right to make it into a crater."
Metal Man (GM): Mmmmmmmmm... Fig Newton.
Gibby tosses a deku nut out into the open area. Hopefully it'll hit one of them (INT save 15)
Charles Magellean: "Now which of the two of you invisible guards went and killed my chair?"
Metal Man (GM): All of the guards avoid it invisibly.
Charles Magellean: "..."
Gibby tries that again.
Charles Magellean takes out his autoguns.
Metal Man (GM): One of them is blinded. Invisibly.
Charles Magellean: "I'll not ask again. Who the destroyed my Rocket?"
Metal Man (GM): Erm... stunned. Yeah. Now you just have to see them.
Wolfman can't see where these guys are...
Gibby: "I stopped one of them... I think."
Charles Magellean: "Fine... let's do this the hard way." *He pulls out a special brand of regenerating ashes.*
Digifanatic: "How?"
Charles Magellean sprinkles it on his nose. He starts to get the Lunarian sniffles... to turn into the sneeze that helped during the Smithy module fight. "Ahhh..."
Gibby backs away a bit.
Digifanatic does the same, considering he's not bumping into a guard.
Charles Magellean: "...Ahhhhh..."
Wolfman: "...are you okay Locos?"
Gibby: "There's a silly question..."
Digifanatic: "Locos, do you mind telling us how this is supposed to work?"
Charles Magellean: "*Sniff*..."
Metal Man (GM): I guess. Unless Locos sneezes right now.
Wolfman isn't going to attack what he can't see; he goes to defense mode to gain a temp AC bonus.
Charles Magellean begins to get mild twitches in his mouth... and wriggles his nose.
Digifanatic decides to pick up the Fig Newton (not using it) and then go into defensive.
Charles Magellean begins to get all twitchy in the body. "AhhhhhHHHa..."
Metal Man (GM): They open fire at Wolfman.
Charles Magellean gets a seizure in his mouth.
Metal Man (GM): Wolfman: 20% per hit.
Charles Magellean: "Ohhhaa... onee more chhaaaance... who pelt*Ahhhhhhh*ed my chair."
Wolfman is just overwhelmed... *BOOM Boom boom boom boom...*
Metal Man (GM): There is no answer, as Wolfman is blown up by psychotic laser death.
Gibby decides to play it safe this time. He takes his 100 rings, and uses them to gain a life.
Charles Magellean: "I kknnnahhhow invisibles have to be silent... but at least be *Creek* courteous and give me an ansasahhwer."
Metal Man (GM): You may do yer next action, Gibby.
Gibby goes into defense mode as well.
Charles Magellean's body begins to swerve in unnatural directions.
Gibby: "Locos, I hope you know what you're doing."
Charles Magellean has his neck begin to turn counter clockwise... almost a 360. Large crackling is heard. "Ahhhh... Aahhhhhh... AAAAAAAAAA..."
Gibby: "...creepy..."
Charles Magellean becomes all normal as his face faces the guards general direction and he's blown back as he says...
Wolfman watches all of this from the revival platform...
Charles Magellean: "...Aaaaaaaaacchchhhooooblllluurrbluuuuuubblluee..."
Wolfman: "Gesundheit." *He leaps off.*
Gibby: "Woah..."
Charles Magellean winds begin to pick up a very alarming rate. The winds swirl around and around, until they form as miniature tornadoes, as it hits all of the main battlefield. He gets up slowly and snuffs his head.
Metal Man (GM): You hear four SMASHES. The guards hit the electrified gate. Four imprints are made... but you can tell they just move back into position. The alarms go off again.
Charles Magellean: "Now then...*Sniff*...who went and broke my vehicle?"
Gibby: "Looks like that wasn't enough... maybe we SHOULD run for it."
Digifanatic: "Locos, if the after-effects of the alarms kill any one of us, I swear I'm gonna... Of course I wouldn't."
Metal Man (GM): You get an urgent dex transmission.
Wolfman is almost inclined to agree with Gibby...
Digifanatic flips open his Dex.
Wolfman opens the Dex.
Mack: "...Come in! come in! Urgent message!"
Gibby checks his Dex.
Wolfman: "This is Wolfman."
Gibby: "Mack? What is it?"
Mack: "Destroy the secret weapon with X-zone attacks!"
Digifanatic: "Yes, Digi here."
Charles Magellean: "I swear I would go into hyper mode, trance, and what you people call Overdrive all at once just to find the bastard who destroyed my bike."
Digifanatic: "X-Zone?"
Gibby: "What are those?"
Charles Magellean: "X-Zone...?"
Wolfman is confused...
Charles Magellean: "...!"
Wolfman: "Mack, you sure you didn't read those notes wrong?"
Mack: "They have X-zone shielding..."
Digifanatic: "If this involves Locos' crazy Trance... thing."
Charles Magellean searches deep into his pockets. Could he actually have the device still?
Gibby: "I still don't know what you're talking about."
Charles Magellean: "I always had a spare backup X-Zone blaster... I just can't remember where I put it."
Wolfman: "Wait... Mack, if you are the repairman, why aren't YOU repairing HQ and Mewtwo giving us these strange messages?"
Digifanatic: "It better had not been attached to your chair. Yeah... He musta brainwashed them or something! He seems responsible enough for this..."
Charles Magellean: "I'm not that careless. Such precious devices are kept within the confines of my below sea level pants."
Mack: "Hmmmm... good point. But then again, only Metal and Mewtwo know how to fix... SECRET DEVICE X..."
Metal Man (GM): Locos: you find it, soaking wet.
Digifanatic: "Secret Device X?"
Gibby: "I'm starting to hate the letter X..."
Charles Magellean pulls out... the Magellean Military's most secret weapon.
Wolfman: "Inform us of this X thing later... just get to the point; what can we do with these invisible guards?"
Charles Magellean: "This was what I had feared on others using against me when I was with Kajidoh."
Mack: "Attack them with the X-zone stuff!"
Gibby: "I don't have any 'x-zone' stuff."
Wolfman: "Where do we GET that?!?"
Charles Magellean: "Alright bastards... you either tell me who shot up my ride, or you get a one-way ticket to a personal Hell."
Mack: "Uhmmm... I don't know."
Charles Magellean rises up his little black box.
Metal Man (GM): The guards remain silent and invisible.
Wolfman closes HIS dex's transmission; if the others want to talk to him, fine.
Charles Magellean: "5...4... ...3... 2... 1..." *He presses the button on top of the box.*
Gibby closes his as well... that was pointless.
Digifanatic closes his Dex also.
Charles Magellean: "Times up, and all I have to say is... buh-bye."
Gibby watches Locos do... whatever he's doing.
Charles Magellean presses the button. The box emits a hideous gas that shows space with stars inside of it.
Metal Man (GM): A violent reaction occurs.
Wolfman steps AWAY from Locos... he doesn't like this.
Digifanatic backs off.
Charles Magellean: *It becomes bigger and bigger until it mainly fills the enemy's side of the field.*
Gibby: "Eep..."
Digifanatic: "Fire... in the hole."
Charles Magellean: "Enemies get sucked into the X-Zone this way."
Metal Man (GM): *BZT* *BZT* *BZT.*
Charles Magellean: "You guards didn't say anything, so it's your own fault."
Metal Man (GM): It glows a lot. Then it finally ends... ...They are now slightly more visible. However, they aren't sent to the X-zone... they have some impressive X-zone shielding.
Gibby: "I can kinda see them... if I squint."
Metal Man (GM): You now have a 50% chance of hitting them if you roll above 25.
Digifanatic: "Well, at least we now know where they are..."
Charles Magellean: "Impressive. Using X-Zone shielding to make it like you're invisible."
Metal Man (GM): Locos: Your turn over? The guards are looking mighty angry now.
Digifanatic: "Don't worry... if this gets too much for us, I know what to do."
Charles Magellean puts his black box away.
Gibby: "Eat that fig newton?"
Digifanatic: "Eh, not yet."
Wolfman gets his Beam Saber out... if he's going to need to hit a LOT if this is going to work.
Charles Magellean: "Now then bastards..." *He whips out his automatics and has his tongue hanging out.*
Metal Man (GM): Locos: X-zone blaster. Hits the enemies with X-zone energy. Damages X-zone shields, chance of insta-killing non-boss enemies.
Charles Magellean fires 6 bullets at the the guard on the right.
Metal Man (GM): The guard's armor blocks the two shots that are on target.
Gibby: "Man..."
Wolfman goes Swords Dancing with the left-most guard... easier to swords dance with a sword than a hammer anyway. He does NOT have Marth's skill in this... he could probably do it.
Metal Man (GM): The one on target hits the guard for 0 damage... the X-zone shielding is still working. I.E. it misses.
Charles Magellean: "I would like to use my trump-trump card over and over again... But it needs time to recharge." *LOCOS Gained: Black Box of X-Zone!*
Guard1: "Fools. Our X-zone shielding will take too long for you to disable. By then, you shall be destroyed."
Guard2: "Your attacks are futile in the face of our technology."
Guard3: "Surrender to the great Zio."
Guard4: "You cannot survive this battle."
Metal Man (GM): They speak in rather ghastly, evil voices.
Wolfman wonders if it's a good idea to actually surrender......
Gibby: "So they DO speak..."
Charles Magellean: "Yeah... yet why is it... ...THAT NONE HAVE THE COURAGE OF IN ANSWER ME!!"
Metal Man (GM): It misses.
Guard1: "What you feel is courage is actually stupidity."
Metal Man (GM): Oh... well. You think you should fight them to the death!
Guard2: "Misconstrued by your incorrect values."
Wolfman: .oO(Fight, fight, fight!)
Guard3: "The era of Questers is over."
Guard4: "Challenging us was your final mistake."
Charles Magellean: "So neither one of you still have the to answer who destroyed my Rocket Chair Mock 2."
Guard1: "It was destroyed, firing squad style."
Charles Magellean: "Tsk, tsk, tsk."
Gibby: "We've heard all that before."
Guard2: "None of us know who actually destroyed it."
Guard3: "Quit with the idiotic questions."
Guard4: "Zio will crush you all."
Charles Magellean: "...Then why didn't you answer me in the first place? That's all you had to say."
Guard1: "To watch you make a fool of yourself."
Charles Magellean: "Now I can leave with peace."
Guard2: "To laugh at your pathetic sneeze."
Gibby: "Don't leave!"
Guard3: "To see the extent of idiocy in action."
Guard4: "For Zio!"
Wolfman is just staying quiet.
Charles Magellean: "For Kibbles!"
Gibby is so embarrassed.
Guards: "..."
Charles Magellean: "Okay... so now that that's outta the way, where do I leave? I have no further quarrel."
Guard1: "Turn around and flee."
Guard2: "Get off of the mountain."
Guard3: "Ask your silly organization to warp you away."
Charles Magellean: "No... it's 'turn around and leave.'"
Guard4: "Escape before Zio steals your intelligence."
Gibby: .oO(Too late for THAT...)
Wolfman "text messages" Mack or whoever is there to warp Locos away.
Charles Magellean: "Fleeing is a coward. A stereotype that adversarial organizations call Super Smash Questers. Am I to inquire that you brand me as such?"
Metal Man (GM): Locos is then suddenly warped back to HQ.
Gibby: "Ahhh... peace..."
Metal Man (GM): Now it's Wolfman and Gibby vs. 4 guards.
Gibby: "Well Wolf, it's you and me."
Wolfman: "Alright; we did what you asked. Anything else?"
Guard1: "Make your choice."
Guard2: "Make it now."
Guard3: "Or else."
Guard4: "Zio!!!!!"
Charles Magellean: "..."
Gibby: "Surrendering isn't one of my strong points."
Wolfman: "...what are the choices?"
Guard1: "Die. Flee. Surrender."
Guard2: "These choices three!"
Guard3: "They bind thee."
Guard4: "You're just fresh meat!"
Wolfman looks to Gibby... "We don't have much of a choice."
Gibby: "We have three..."
Wolfman: "...then I give you the power to choose."
Charles Magellean programs a little code into the dex.
Gibby puts his gun away. "Alright... we surrender."
Wolfman follows suit with his beam saber.
Gibby: "We know when we're beat."
Guard1: "Come with us."
Guard2: "Or die!"
Gibby nods, and follows the guards.
Guard4: "Or else."
Wolfman follows Gibby.
Metal Man (GM): They walk inside... past where VG is hiding... and lead you into a prison complex. *PAUSE* on them. *UNPAUSE* On VG. VG: You see Wolfman and Gibby get arrested by guards.
VG sees his friends arrested... sugar; not good .oO(Where is Locos? Probably getting a new chair...)
Metal Man (GM): VG: What do you do? What DO you do?
VG tries to find a path to the next hiding spot... he wants to do this stealthily.
Metal Man (GM): Follow the guards... sneak past the 20 guards blocking the entrance to the main gate... Or flee?
VG takes out a Super Plush Bear, holds it, and THEN follows the guards... think a child watching the father and friends going to the prison or something.
Metal Man (GM): You follow them secretly. They reach the building, and open a door. It opens... they walk in. It's about to quickly close behind them.
VG tries to hurry in, bear still in hand.
Metal Man (GM): VG sneaks inside. The place is high-tech. A large corridor leads to an elevator. The guards and the two prisoners go on it. The elevator goes down. Do you jump aboard the roof of the elevator? It's an open one. A floating platform with a floating ceiling. There aren't any stairs nearby.
VG gets a look at the place... he sees an elevator going down. He attempts to get on top of it.
Metal Man (GM): Another SPD check. You leap aboard as it goes down. It goes deeper...
VG and bear land safely.
Metal Man (GM): Deeper.... Deeper.... It's going far down. The electronics get more sophisticated as you go.
VG is almost tempted to sleep on his bear right now...
Metal Man (GM): *PAUSE* On VG. Locos warps in front of the base.
Metal Man (GM): Locos: Everyone's gone... even the guards for the front of the base.
Charles Magellean: "Mmm..."
Metal Man (GM): The two doors are open.
Charles Magellean tiptoes into the base.
Metal Man (GM): In you go. You are now in the main courtyard. There are two buildings. A small, unguarded prison shed... Or a large, gaudy dome protected by 20 guards.
Charles Magellean takes a change of heart... and will do the risk road. He tiptoes...

Charles Magellean looks to behind the wall... peaking so he can see this roadblock.
Metal Man (GM): It's a bunch of troopers making a formation around the door. With the top wall being the one of the building.
Charles Magellean peaks around the corner. He silently gets out his rubix cube. He turns it once... He turns it again.
Metal Man (GM): The cube glows. All of the guards are hit by lightning. 12 of them are not effected. Eight of them, however, pass out. The cube must have special powers.
Charles Magellean polishes off his Magic Mirror. "...Let's see if there's a lot more protection in the Dark World." *He activates his Magic Mirror by gazing into it.*
Metal Man (GM): *FLASH* The dark world version of this base... is in ruins. It's empty, besides pulsing electrical lights in the walls and dome.
Charles Magellean looks around a bit...
Metal Man (GM): The entrance to the dome, though, is open.
Charles Magellean checks around to see for any probable traps with true vision while he goes to the ruined dome.
Metal Man (GM): You see nothing while you enter it ..Inside the dome is Metal Sonic.
Metal Sonic: "...Well well well... if it isn't the former emperor of Nintendus. I thought you were killed by your own corrupt council of the Thirteen Gentlemen. Of course, Ivo Robotnik did make a robotic clone of your evil form... it destroyed half of the planet before Zio saved us. Now then. What brings your seemingly beyond-the-grave self to here?"
Charles Magellean: "...What's happened to Nintendus?"
Metal Sonic: "Being a neutral power, I will not harm you as long as you do not harm me. Well, the Questers were obliterated by the Thirteen Gentlemen."
Charles Magellean: "...This isn't the Dark World."
Metal Sonic: "They then took over the world, with your military assisting them. Oh... really? Ganondorf is both alive and ruler of Saga. This is the Bad Future, if you know as much about time as I do. Only I know this... well. you do too. After all, you were the one who defeated The Void."
Charles Magellean: "The Worse Future if you ask me. The Thirteen Gentlemen..."
Metal Sonic: "Rulers of the world, at the moment."
Charles Magellean: "Since I'm not from this timeline, I do not know of the events that pertained here."
Metal Sonic: "Now then. I repeat my question. What do you plan to do here? I can assist you if it is of bearing to another timeline."
Charles Magellean: "I used the Magic Mirror to reach the Dark World and reach the Dome that is heavily guarded in the Light World. I do not know what has happened here, but unfortunately it is not my place to alter any events here if I am truly dead."
Metal Sonic: "Ah... you would love to know that the dome is shielded from entrance this way. However, if you assist me, I can generate a special weapon which will defy those pathetic physics. You have the fingerprints of the dead ruler. Well... if you just activate this computer over here, I can help you."
Charles Magellean: "... Of course."
Metal Man (GM): Metal Sonic points to what looks like an old computer with a fingerprint scanning dealy.
Charles Magellean goes over to a computer and uses his thumb. "How do you fit in all this, Metal Sonic?"
Metal Sonic: "I am the creation of Ivan Robotnik... he died, but with his last words, he proclaimed I stay to this one base and protect it... in order to save another world. It appears that time has come."
Computer: "...Fingerprint verified."
Metal Man (GM): A bit of glowing and a machine activating is heard. A rainbow light appears, then a large terminal appears out of the ground.
Metal Sonic: "Excellent. Your SIMBER system still works."
SIMBER: "Immortal master, you have risen from the dead! I shall grant one request for you."
Charles Magellean: "... Allow me a way to access the dome that Metal Sonic protects." *He looks to MS.* "So then... how did the evil version come to power and what led to his downfall?"
Metal Sonic: "A mysterious being named Lumis Dongthar appeared, reviving the supposedly dead 13 gentlemen."
Charles Magellean: "?"
Metal Sonic: "...All of them."
Charles Magellean: "But... Meier Link and Zio were still alive. Still on Nintendus."
Metal Sonic: "Using his innate bribing powers, he gave you the ability to see the future in exchange for your loyalty. Ah... They joined in with the others immediately."
Charles Magellean: "And due to the unnatural coming of chaos... the Void reappeared. Thus remaking the Good Future into the Worse Future. After the Questers were gone, what happened to this 'Lumis' and the other me?"
SIMBER: "...Pinpointed. X-zone shielding in Good Future."
Metal Sonic: "You became emperor. Lumis sat behind the scenes, before... Smithy appeared and smote him. Then the Thirteen Gentlemen revolted against you, killed you, took control, destroyed Ivan Robotnik AND Smithy."
SIMBER: "Rainbow matter assembled."
Metal Sonic: "Oh... yes. I was also told to give you this."
Metal Man (GM): *Locos acquired: Cup of Rainbows????*
Charles Magellean takes it.
Metal Sonic: "This object, put in a certain machine, destroys X-zone shielding on the first hit. It also negates black holes... if hooked up to chaos emeralds."
Charles Magellean takes out his black box.
Metal Sonic: "...!!! You have the world destroyer still? ...That would make sense... equipped with rainbow matter, it would become much stronger..."
Charles Magellean: "I see... so this machine is how the Magellean Military rose to power."
Metal Sonic: "The military had much larger versions that sent all opposition into the X-zone."
Charles Magellean: "However, in my dimension, there is no Lumis, Smithy's AI is under Nova's control, and the Thirteen Gentlemen have long been gone. And what of the Lunarian moon of Earth?"
Metal Sonic: "You mean the sun-blocker?"
Charles Magellean: "...I should leave before anyone else knows of my existence."
Metal Sonic: "Yes."
Metal Man (GM): A rainbow portal is in the room.
Charles Magellean enters the rainbow.
Metal Man (GM): *WARP* *Cutscene* The guards and a field of darkness around the dome start to shift. Sparks start flying. *Inside* Several scientist-like Space Pirates, Parmans, and Glukkons are running about. A head one is looking at a huge machine with rising gauges.
???: "...An unknown force has overwhelmed our force field! Hit the dirt!"
Metal Man (GM): *Zoom back out* The field and the soldiers immediately near the dome explode in a flash of rainbow. The power flickers. The alarms turn on and then explode. Locos appears in front of the building's entrance. There's dead guards all around and a fizzling out force field.
Charles Magellean blinks. *Pause on me?*
Metal Man (GM): Yes.
Charles Magellean: *Pause on me.*
Metal Man (GM): *UNPAUSE on VG, Gibby, Wolfman* You three, including the hiding VG reach the bottom floor.
VG finally sees the elevator stop... about time!
Guard1: "You three. Go back up and secure the entrance."
Metal Man (GM): The other three guards nod.
Guard: "You two prisoners. Come with me."
Wolfman says nothing, but just follows.
Gibby follows the Guard.
Metal Man (GM): The Guard stops at a cell. It has a black forcefield.
VG jumps off and secretly follows them then. He still has the bear in hand... he's NOT letting it get away.
Metal Man (GM): The guard deactivates the field.
Guard: "Get in the cell."
Gibby enters into the cell without a problem.
Wolfman follows Gibby.
Metal Man (GM): The field goes back up.
Gibby: "I do hope we get good meals in here."
Guard: "Now then. Stay where you are."
Gibby says it sarcastically.
Metal Man (GM): The guard goes to walk off... right towards VG!
Wolfman says nothing.
Metal Man (GM): VG: SPD check. You hide in the nick of time.
VG is glad to be short right now.
Metal Man (GM): He walks right by, and goes up the elevator with the other guards.
Gibby: "Hopefully one of the others will rescue us."
VG waits for the elevator to be out of sight first...
Metal Man (GM): Elevator is out of sight.
Gibby takes a look at his surroundings in the meantime.
VG then tosses a Debarrier Cube at the force field/door combo thingy. .oO(Here is to hoping this works...)
Metal Man (GM): It hits the force field and disappears.
Wolfman thought he saw a force field disappear...
Metal Man (GM): Gibby: You see a cube hit the force field and disappear. So does Wolf.
Gibby: "Drat... a good try though."
VG: .oO(Okay, that didn't work...) *He tries to find some sort of lock instead.*
Metal Man (GM): No locks to be seen. INT check. You think that it needs to be disabled somehow. Like, turning off the power source.
VG: .oO(Okay VG, think... it needs to be turned off, like how that guard did it.) *He tries to find a power source to turn off... he doesn't have anything that can do it, and he doesn't... wait a second. He has another idea... he takes out a Molecular Pill and swallows it.*
Metal Man (GM): Molecular pill activated.
VG is glad he has spares... he attempts to go THROUGH the force field and door.
Metal Man (GM): Walking into the force field... *SSB:M POOM EFFECT.*
Gibby: "...ouch."
Metal Man (GM): Minus one life. You reappear... just as if you'd fallen off of a SSB:M stage.
VG: .oO(Okay, not going to try that again) *He goes to find a power source to turn off... stupid Pooming force field...*
Wolfman: "I don't think this was what you had in mind, was it?"
Metal Man (GM): You eventually find a large knob that says 'Master Circuit Breaker'
VG: .oO(Okay, this is going to be too easy...) *He looks around for people, cameras, aliens from outer space, etc... first.*
Gibby walks around the cell.
Metal Man (GM): When you look... a loud explosion and a shockwave occur. The lights go out... as do the force fields. The lights then flip back on, but not the force fields.
VG: "...what the?"
Gibby: "What the heck was THAT?"
Wolfman: "...I have no clue... but is the forcefield gone now?"
Gibby: "I guess so." *He steps out.*
VG wonders if turning of the circuit breaker is still a good idea...
Metal Man (GM): It's a great idea!
Gibby: "You coming, Wolf?"
Wolfman steps out...
VG turns off the circuit breaker... gulp. .oO(alright, what stupid thing did I do now?)
Metal Man (GM): VG: The minute you touch it, you get electrocuted. VG lights up like a Christmas tree. 80% damage to VG.
Gibby: "Ooooo... pretty..."
VG takes note... DON'T do that again!
Gibby: "I bet that hurt."
Wolfman runs towards VG to see if he's alright.
VG: "Ouch... remind me not to rescue you guys again for a long time... it gets painful."
Gibby: "Indeed."
Metal Man (GM): The elevator comes back down, unmanned.
Wolfman: "Welcome to the Questers VG. Now let's get out of here."
Gibby: "Well, lets head up."
Computer: "Warning. X-zone fields deactivated. Critical systems damaged by power surge."
Gibby runs to the elevator, and hops inside.
VG: "...I have no clue who deactivated them..."
Computer: "Main offense systems offline."
VG and Wolfman get in.
Computer: "Prisoners are escaping. Systems unable to diagnose nature of power surge."
Gibby pulls out his gun.
Metal Man (GM): The elevator starts to go up.
VG: .oO(Maybe I should have tried disabling that circuit breaker again)
Gibby: "We may have to fight. Prepare yourselves."
Computer: "Backup power is failing. Backup power is failing."
Wolfman gets out his beam saber.
Computer: "Backup power is failing. Backup power is failing."
Gibby: "...something tells me the backup power is failing."
VG: "We'll be lucky if we aren't stuck on this elevator first!"
Computer: "Backup power is failing. Backup power is failing."
Metal Man (GM): It continues like that... until...
Computer: "Backup power offline."
Gibby: "Great..."
Metal Man (GM): The elevator stops... at an unknown level.
VG: "...me and my big mouth..."
Metal Man (GM): The semi-dark room looks old and unused.
Gibby tries to manually open the elevator doors "Where ARE we?"
Wolfman: "...I have no clue..."
Gibby walks around.
Metal Man (GM): You bump into a terminal.
VG is nervous... but at his current health, it's almost not worth using a teddy.
Gibby: "Gah!"
Metal Man (GM): 'Project Lumina Control'
Gibby: "Hmmm... what's this?"
Wolfman: "Looks like a terminal... but what's Lumina?"
VG: "Perhaps it's that secret weapon thing Mack was trying to explain."
Gibby: "Lumina... lumina... sounds like that guy Lumis."

Gibby: "Bu... bu... bu... bu... BUTTON!!!!!"
Metal Man (GM): The counter says... '2 years and counting'
VG: "Gibby, calm down!"
Gibby presses the button!
VG: "I don't know if pushing random buttons will do anything useful..."
Gibby: "BUTTON! MWA HA HA HA HA!"
Metal Man (GM): The room rumbles a bit.
VG: "...or be a good idea..."
Metal Man (GM): Various lines, of obvious Chozo design, light up with blue energy. The control panel activates, showing a sort of... energy cannon...
Gibby: "Ahhh... I feel good."
Wolfman gets a look at the display...
Computer: "Project Lumina activated."
Wolfman: "What is that energy cannon for?"
Metal Man (GM): The console runs diagnostics.
Computer: "Full power. Ready to fire. Please select a target."
VG: "What are these targets anyway?"
Gibby: "Hmmm... we can shoot it at something."
Metal Man (GM): ...You see... before your eyes... the wireframe version of SSQ HQ appear on it.
Gibby gets a mischievous grin.
Computer: "Target locked. Preparing to fire."
Gibby: "No... NO!"
Wolfman: "Computer, CEASE FIRE!"
Gibby: "Target unlock! UNLOCK!"
Computer: "Command has been locked in by user Zio."
VG is almost tempted to headbutt the thing...
Gibby: "GAH! Figures..."
VG: "Stand back guys..."
Computer: "Optional message is: Thank you for activating that. I didn't know it actually worked until you fixed it."
VG charges up for headbutting.
Gibby does so. "Go for it, man."
Wolfman stands back as well... he gets his hammer out just in case.
VG launches his charged self to the computer to deactivate it hopefully.
Metal Man (GM): You're about to hit it, when instead you bounce off of something else...
Dr. Robotnik: "Not so fast..."
Gibby: "Buh???"
Metal Man (GM): A hologram of Dr. Robotnik fades in.
VG rebounds off of... Dr. Robotnik?!? But... he's a hologram!
Dr. Robotnik: "I've been waiting for one of you to activate this..."
Wolfman: *Points to Gibby* "It was his fault!"
Gibby: "How do we unactivate it?!?"
Dr. Robotnik: "I made a copy of myself here long before my other self became good. Unactivate it? I do not make buttons for such things!"
Gibby: "...you should."
Dr. Robotnik: "My greatest invention will now destroy your headquarters."
VG tries to figure out some way to destroy and deactivate that machine... and the hologram...
Gibby: "Aw come on. Please don't! It's our only home!"
Dr. Robotnik: "Unless you think you can barge into the nearby central controls and deactivate it."
VG goes to the nearby central controls then.
Gibby: "...sounds like a good idea."
Dr. Robotnik: "...You idiot, I mean the ones ABOVE GROUND."
Wolfman: "You know you are an idiot, right Robuttnik?"
Dr. Robotnik: "Now, if you dare attack these controls, I shall destroy you."
VG: "How can you destroy us if you are a hologram?"
Gibby: "Alright, one of us has to go up."
Dr. Robotnik: "Never ask that question!"
Metal Man (GM): A mecha appears. The one from long ago.
VG: "Fine; I'll let the others question you."
Gibby heads back to the elevator.
Metal Man (GM): With the machinegun fingers.
Gibby: "Gotta save HQ!"
VG was going to head back until Gibby went back in...
Dr. Robotnik: "Do you want me to complete your question?"
Metal Man (GM): Gibby: The elevator, she is-a stuck.
VG: "Your choice." *He feels like he is dealing with the devil... almost.*
Gibby points his gun to the top of the elevator, and fires two shots into it.
Metal Man (GM): *BAM* *BAM* The elevator shorts.
Dr. Robotnik: "Very well. Flee, or face death!"
Wolfman tries to get a look at this machine gunning mecha...
Gibby: "BAH! Wolf, come here!"
Dr. Robotnik: *Aims at VG with the 10 finger machineguns.*
Wolfman: "We'll flee!"
VG has to avoid machine guns first... He attempts to get in.
Wolfman goes in.
Gibby: "Try to cut a hole into the top of the elevator with your beam saber."
Wolfman gets his beam saber out, jumps, and then jumps in midair and starts some slashing. (roll?)
Metal Man (GM): You cut a hole in the ceiling.
Gibby: "Great! Now help me up!"
Wolfman picks up Gibby and tosses him up "Hope that does it for you."
Metal Man (GM): Gibby: You can see up the shaft.
Gibby: "You two distract the mecha while I go stop that machine."
VG: "Are you crazy?!?"
Gibby starts climbing up the cable ropes. "YES!"
Wolfman: "... Fine."
VG: "I'm guessing being a Quester means dealing with craziness besides flying books and discs, huh?"
Metal Man (GM): *PAUSE* Locos's side. Locos: You're about to enter the now compromised dome.
Charles Magellean is about to enter the dome.
Metal Man (GM): You see inside. A ruined entryway, it is.
Charles Magellean: "...Not a whole lot." *He walks through.*
Metal Man (GM): Dead stuff around, too. The next door inside is where things get interesting. A bunch of scientists are working on computers behind a force field.
Charles Magellean continues through.
Metal Man (GM): Well. That force field blocks the way.
Charles Magellean: "...What?" *He gets out his black box.*
Metal Man (GM): The scientists obliviously continue their work.
Charles Magellean fires a blast.
Metal Man (GM): *BZZT* It goes down. The scientists see that... and flee. Yet another door inward is revealed. It's a fairly straightforward path.
Charles Magellean puts away his box and goes forward. This walking is not good.
Metal Man (GM): The next door opens. You're at the center of the dome ...Meier Link sits atop a small platform.
Meier Link: "Greetings, infidel."
Charles Magellean chuckles weakly. He waves... then turns around very quickly and walks back the way he came.
Metal Man (GM): Meier Link chuckles back and watches you leave.
Meier Link: "I must be getting old... Questers just don't come in the numbers they used to before... they don't fight either..."
Charles Magellean walks away a bit... then rushes back in. "RAARR! I'm a bear'n'stuff!"
Scientists: "Ahhhhhh!!!!"
Meier Link: "Hmmmmm?"
Charles Magellean: "I'm a bear!" *He inhales deeply... then lets out a Godzilla/monster roar. It exactly sounds like one.*
Meier Link: "...Oh no. I'm being attacked by a monster. If only I had a generator that gave me the power to shoot elemental beams at the enemy while becoming invisible. Oh! Wait! I'm sitting on top of one!"
Metal Man (GM): Meier Link turns invisible. Then he fires two elemental beams at Locos. Locos: Two INT checks. The beams are Fire and Electricity. Hit hit, unless yer doing Lucky. 90% damage total ..Your lucky attempt is more of an unlucky one. Locos: Your turn.
Charles Magellean: "...Okay, now how do you expect me to fight."
Meier Link: "I expect you to die!"
Charles Magellean: "..." *He rolls his eyes into the back of his head then goes to normal again.* "Honestly, do we go anywhere with that line anymore? Be honest, sir."
Meier Link: "Who do you think I am? A director?"
Charles Magellean: "Look... Meier Link... ...With all due respect... This isn't working at all anymore. The villains wanting Questers out of their way, I understand."
Meier Link: "I do not see the logic of that. You're on the other end of Zio's secret weapon."
Charles Magellean: "But all the taunts, mocks, one-liners---that's another thing. All these weapons of mass destruction, secret weapons, world domination goals... Tell me, how many of them have actually been achieved. I don't mean to insult you or Zio."
Meier Link: "Very few. However... I'm about to change that."
Charles Magellean: "You have every right to be pro-active, since the good people are more generally reactive."
Metal Man (GM): Meier Link glows again, about to unleash two more volleys of energy.
Charles Magellean: "Hold it hold it hold it. Tell me this... Why do you do this?"
Meier Link: "To serve my master, and so that we can rule the world."
Charles Magellean: "You send elemental energy balls at me, I retaliate with gunshots, and the whole cycle repeats. Yeah, and that's another thing. Does Zio respect you?"
Metal Man (GM): Meier Link is effected by 'Sleep' status effect!
Charles Magellean: "Just let me get one word in thought."
Metal Man (GM): He becomes so tired of Locos's lecture, he falls asleep.
Charles Magellean: "Has he eve----..."
Meier Link: "Zzzzzzzz... Zzzzzzzzzz..."
Charles Magellean just silently moves his mouth. He moves on forward.
