Later that night, good news came to the Questers. Simon Belmont has decided to join the Melee Staff. Everyone was thrilled. Simon is also happy, for he has a chance to make some sort of a living without the N-Team.
Meanwhile, down at the Item Lab, Prof Oak managed to understand the Moon Pearl and Magic Mirror, thanks to Link. The items were successfully cloned, and Sword Blade & Nodal got their original findings back.
Everyone else, though, got bored. Even the bad guys weren't doing anything. So, everyone wanted a spar.
"You guys could use the training...only this time it will be different," Mewtwo was telling Positron, Sky High, Sour Surfer, and Sword Blade. "You will face four opponents in the Hyrule Temple. This will be good practice."
Of course, they wanted to have a wager. "Fine...each of you will wager one move--one you will bring into battle. If you lose, you lose the move. If you win, you gain a move. If all of you are alive at the end, all of you gain TWO moves."
The stage was set. Positron, Sky, Sour and Sword vs Samus, Luigi, Yoshi, & a life-like Bowser robot. Everyone managed to work together to knock their opponents away in a Stamina Mode contest.
The next day, the 17th, there was good and bad. The good was that two new Questers, Trek & Zenno, are in. The bad is that Cooper broke some rules and has to suffer a gain of the Self Hurter & a loss of 500 coins.
