Metal Man (GM): *As said earlier, Illian and Charles are facing a psychic, emerald-packing Lynk. They are about to commence combat.*
Lynk: "This is your last warning. Get off of this ship; you don't know what's good for you."
Charles Magellean: "Can you at least tell me why he wants me dead other than the fact I want his necklace?"
Lynk: "You are... the hub of destiny. If you are not killed, everything that occurs will wind up going around you, and you will ultimately defeat anything which comes against you!"
Charles Magellean opens his mouth and points open his finger, then closes his mouth before he says anything stupid.
Lynk: "That is why... Smithy failed, and only your own, closest relatives can have hope of hurting you."
Charles Magellean: "...Wanna know a secret?"
Lynk: "What is that?"
Charles Magellean points to Illian. "...He did it."
Lynk: "Whaaaat?"
Metal Man: "Oh, yeah. Smithy died from a cheese danish to the forehead."
Charles Magellean: "... It was a danish cheese. How many times do we have to go over that?"
Lynk: "This makes no sense... the predictions detected that the Questers would be destroyed by time!"
Editor's Note: Well, you're not half wrong... but you are completely too early for anything like that happening.
Metal Man: "...Eh, sorry, my mind is warped."
Charles Magellean: "Mm-hmm. A creation of Smithy killed Smithy. It was Metal right here that dealt that killing blow."
Lynk: "...Hmmm... perhaps we should change our position, then."
Metal Man (GM): Lynk looks oddly disturbed.
Lynk: "I just realized... the same goes for the likes of you, Charles, vs. the other Charles!. I have no time to waste." *WARP.*
Metal Man (GM): Lynk disappears.
Metal Man: "Hmmmm... that was odd. Everything about this is weird."
Charles Magellean: "...Think they changed their vendetta to you?"
Metal Man (GM): The way ahead, to an elevator, is clear.
Metal Man: "Maybe... wouldn't be surprised, you know. I'm quite a hated person. What with those random UND thing people who hate me just for what I stand for."
Charles Magellean: "They hate the methods, not who you guys are."
Metal Man: "Well, about time somebody told me. I was about to okay the nuclear strike on the next place they attacked, and all. I thought they wanted to kill us no matter what we did!"
Charles Magellean: "If anything, you're the paranoid person. Now let's get going. I don't wanna lose another chance at getting that necklace again." *He enters the elevator.*
Metal Man: "Necklace, eh? Well well, we better get going." *He follows.*
Metal Man (GM): You see the following: The buttons go to.... Deck - Floor 1 Personnel Quarters - Floor 2 Mess Hall - Floor 3 Research - Floor 4 Bridge - Floor 5 Engineering - Floor 6
Charles Magellean: "This is a trap. They're all misguiding."
Metal Man: "Everything is a trap."
Charles Magellean: "No, I know myself."
Metal Man: "Well then... which is which?"
Charles Magellean: "Magellan has it set so the map is wrong. Research is probably the mess hall, and the Engineering is probably the deck. ...We either take the stairs or ride the elevator. I say we start at floor 5."
Metal Man: "All right." *He presses the button.*
Metal Man (GM): *Elevator starts going down.*
Metal Man: "This is certainly unconventional. And they appear focused on protecting Charles from you."
Charles Magellean: "You know the old saying. The most challenging opponent is yourself."
Metal Man: "Ah, yes... very much a good meaning to this case, I see."
Metal Man (GM): The elevator opens... directly on the bridge. Magellan is in a chair... with his back to you.
Charles L. Magellan: "Welcome... to the CIS Commander."
Charles Magellean: "So only the other five floor maps were incorrect. Bravo."
Charles L. Magellan: "I wanted you to come here, of course. I am not all that sure as to what should be done, though..."
Metal Man silently listens.
Charles L. Magellan: "I want to kill both of you, but clearly... I can't just do that. My robots were shredded, my pyro trap a joke. Why bother with more difficult versions of the same worthless thing? You're all annoying bounty hunters. I know you'll find a way through it... you and your wretched planet. I wish... to destroy Lumis Dongthar."
Metal Man: "...Whaaaaa?"
Charles L. Magellan: "He is my chief rival... while my targets are currently indestructible, he is not. But would you betray someone who has acted passively? I am not sure."
Metal Man: "Well, he did choke me... whatever he was doing didn't appear right, but who am I to judge? I was about to nuke a bunch of mere vigilantes."
Charles L. Magellan: "This is why I would prefer to kill you first and him last; but beggars cannot be choosers."
Charles Magellean: "And kill them with danish cheese like you did Smithy?"
Metal Man: "Well, yeah, if it came to that."
Charles L. Magellan: "Now... I have a dangerous proposition. My forces are much like the old empire; enough to defeat all takers. I know, once again, that attacking you directly is suicide... ...I will give you one thing, if you leave peacefully."
Metal Man (GM): He spins around, looking rather strained by thought.
Charles Magellean whispers, his mouth facing away from Magellan.
Charles L. Magellan: "I am mistaken in accusing you, my inferior clone. And yet the maniac is not quite the material that requires a fight to the death."
Charles Magellean: "Something on thine mind?"
Charles L. Magellan: "What I most desperately want is unobtainable."
Charles Magellean looks to the mega mack guy and nods. He looks back to Metal.
Charles L. Magellan: "The death of you, the maniac, and Lumis Dongthar... I cannot get that. Bounty hunters which will evade eternally my attempts. It is my only reconcile which I can give; take this disk and make of it what you wish."
Metal Man (GM): He tosses a floppy disk made of crystal to Magellean.
Charles L. Magellan: "I have circumnavigated many planets... and I have seen many strange sights."
Charles Magellean catches with his to fingers.
Charles L. Magellan: "That disk... it is a part of your separate destiny."
Charles Magellean: "Metal, is there something on your mind?"
Metal Man: "Nothing really. I'm just confused... an enemy who DOESN'T go all out and try to kill us, despite wanting us dead?"
Charles L. Magellan: "I am more complex than Kuja. The dangers in your futures outrank whatever I can do."
Charles Magellean: "A quiet existence. Fits you goodly."
Charles L. Magellan: "At best, I may yet fight you in the arena... to see who is of higher strength. That may be all, at best. Lynk is my chief bodyguard. He told me the news. Ivo left, stealing some of my own, secret technology. Be careful of him... he merely came aboard to add to his idiotic 'Empire' and leave. Be free to go where you wish; I learned my lesson before I was punished with death."
Charles Magellean inserts the disk into his dex.
Metal Man: "Admirable, for sure. No enemy of mine has actually given up and then attempted to fix things."
Smash Dex: "...Unknown formation detected... on the North pole of Nintendus."
Metal Man (GM): It shows a picture... An ice castle in the usually iceless north. Snow... and a shadow on it, like something is high above it.
Metal Man: "Woah! That's something unnatural, for sure."
Charles Magellean looks to Charles. "Very well then, we will leave IF I am given... your necklace."
Charles L. Magellan: "This worthless trinket? Take it!"
Metal Man (GM): He hurls it to you.
Charles L. Magellan: "It does not work for me."
Charles Magellean catches it. He makes a bit of a tiny unforeseen check between Mega-mack Charles and the necklace, then proceeds to put it on.
Metal Man (GM): *Glow* Another special power activated! Also... +150 to max HP, between all the stuff you did last mission and in this interlude. The necklace grants you the power to run from battle seconds before a fatal attack is about to hit you. A warp home appears.
Charles L. Magellan: "I am done with business."
Metal Man (GM): He spins around, and resumes manning the controls.
Charles Magellean pulls out the disk from the dex and hands it to Illian. "This may be more of use to you than to me."
Metal Man: "It is... I shall analyze this disk."
Charles Magellean still doesn't fully trust this incarnation. Might be a trojan on the disk to allow him to spy on HQ. He enters the portal.
Metal Man enters the portal as well.
Metal Man (GM): *Both at HQ.*
Charles Magellean polishes his three necklaces... "Only two more remain in the realms. I doubt those two are whole like these three."
Metal Man: "Never know..."
Charles Magellean: "...You think I may even be able to defeat even the champion in the Arena?"
Metal Man: "There is a chance... if you practice."."
Charles Magellean: "Pract---" *He turns his head to the side, while looking at Metal, with mouth open and slight closing of the eyebrows and eyes.*
Metal Man: "...?"
Charles Magellean: "I would give you a Pound right now if I didn't respect you."
Metal Man: "Eh. Well, I gotta go check this disk out." *He waves, then goes off to the lab.*
Charles Magellean: "You do that. Ice castles and all. Hmm... wonder if he's still out on business?"
SIMBER: "Shadow will return shortly... within a few hours."
Charles Magellean checks his watch. He goes to R&R. He begins to get a headache... "...Hmm. Need blood." *He looks to the ceiling. He squats, jumps, and attempts to swerve and stick his toes into the ceiling.*
Metal Man (GM): You hit the ceiling with your toes.
Charles Magellean muscles his toes into the ceiling. "Auuuhhh... that's better." *He yawns... he closes his eyes and goes to sleep.*
Editor's Note: So, uh... did anyone ever deal with the paradox of two Locoses existing? No? Oooookay then...
Metal Man (GM): *HQ: Normal Day* Aribar: You'd be wherever you feel like. Same for Julian. It'd be another average day. The clutches of evil seem to have faded; the darkness dissipating.
Aribar would probably be in the R&R watching TV and looking weirdly up at Locos every few minutes (Assuming he's still hanging from the ceiling). He debates about waking the Lunarian, but decides against it and channel surfs.
Metal Man (GM): You would see a television show on... the same one that talked about the treasure at the teacup island area.
Aribar: "Eh?" *The elf turns up the volume a bit, wondering what they may be showing now...*
Metal Man (GM): Another archaeologist, this time being a human named Mindy, is looking at some ancient ruins, near Phendrana Ocean.
Mindy: "Just recently, these ruins washed ashore. They appear to be of an ancient origin... Rumors say that they contain the very first relics of the original settlers of this planet."
Metal Man (GM): The camera pans around, showing some very low foundations, and various statuary. There's some pillars and other devices, but they all seem dead.
Mindy: "These appear to be Solarian in creation; clearly, they provide a long thought lost link between the first colonists and today's society. Certain relics appear to be of a magical type; but we have been unable to understand the markings on them."
Metal Man (GM): Mindy holds up a strange looking, all-stone staff. You'd understand... in Whallerese, written on it is 'GENERAL SHA'FOL WILL RETURN'
Aribar looks at the TV, his eyes going wide.
Mindy: "The artifacts are very similar to ones found in the remains of Gerald Robotnik's laboratories. They might be able to help us fight Kuja, even... but no one seems to know how to use them. We've tried various other artifacts, but none of them seem to work. Even what appears to be a prototype of the X-zone crystal is broken."
Aribar gets up to head out of the room buy stares at the TV to make sure nothing else is said.
Metal Man (GM): Mindy walks around, putting the staff down and then looking at a pillar with more Whallerese written on it. It says.... 'Warp Controls Activate Shields Life Support' And appears to be... a SHIP? How odd...
Mindy: "This ancient temple is very strange. It appears to lack the usual religious symbols."
Aribar: "...This is just too much. How could stuff from my planet? ... SIMBER?"
Mindy: "Well, that's all the time we have. We'll bring updates on this issue on the next episode!"
Metal Man (GM): *The show ends.*
SIMBER: "Yes?"
Aribar: "...I wish to go on a little trip near the Phendrana Ocean. Where's Metal?"
SIMBER: "In the big room, studying some sort of disk."
Aribar: "Thanks... Could you set up the warp room to head to the ruins that were just advertised on TV?"
SIMBER: "Affirmative. Warp established."
Aribar thanks the A.I. again and heads to the big room.
Metal Man (GM): You reach the Big Room. Metal is looking at a hologram of an icy fortress.
Metal Man: "Hello, Aribar."
Aribar: "'allo... I was wondering if I could receive permission to leave the stadium... That is, if it is still needed."
Metal Man: "Oh, I heard... go ahead. Nothing to fear out there."
Aribar: "Okay." *He starts towards the warp room.*
Metal Man (GM): You hit the warp room... a warp pipe is there.
Aribar checks his supplies and then leaps in.
Metal Man (GM): You appear... at the large ruined area. There's dark, stone-made foundations everywhere.
Aribar hrms, looking around...
Metal Man (GM): You first see the console that was on TV. It's still there... untouched.
Aribar starts forward in a random direction, then sees where the TV people were... He heads over to the console and looks at it.
Metal Man (GM): It has the three buttons... and another one you didn't see before. 'Activate Computers'
Aribar presses the newest button... How did a ship from Whaller end up on Nintendus? Ships themselves are rare on Whaller, but for one to be on Nintendus? It seems weird to the elf.
Metal Man (GM): You hear a humming... this clearly is all magical; the rocks have no circuitry. The button lights up, and you hear some other components glowing and activating.
Console: "...*Kzt*. ...Massive damage to all sections. 1% operational."
Aribar looks about for something that would be comparable to a monitor or screen...
Metal Man (GM): There's no monitors, or screens. However, you do see a holographic projection of a mage above the console.
Console: "...One crew member is alive. ...99% casualty rate."
Aribar: "Hrm... "
Console: "Hello. This is the HCS Endeavor. One of many ships which were on their way to Whaller, escaping the evil of the Solarians."
Editor's Note: Most of what follows is non-canon. Read on only if you wish to see some apocrypha of SSQ.
Aribar: "!!"
Console: "You appear to be the only survivor... or a relative of them. A lot of time has passed. This is the only component left functioning."
Aribar: "...Me?!" *He wonders if the computer is actually talking to him...*
Console: "You are the only person whose brainwaves correspond with the pilgrim's magical abilities. On this entire planet, it appears. You have also been the only person to comprehend the language on this console. ...Kzt. Kzt. Records scan indicates an insurrection of Solarians amongst the crew."
Aribar: "...This... This... Umm... Eh?"
Console: "Prior to the crash, a man with a Solarian staff attacked and destroyed the engines, while near this unknown planet. Records show that he was an avid supporter of the Solarians, and had a motive for derailing this ship from its path."
Aribar: "...Did he have a strange, stone staff?"
Console: "This one."
Metal Man (GM): *It shows the same staff, with 'GENERAL SHA'FOL WILL RETURN' marked on it.*
Console: "That is a high-class magical artifact in its own right. All magical... a rarity among Solarians. It contains a high amount of destructive power."
Aribar mutters, "Doesn't every Solarian device?"
Console: "Unfortunately, yes. They appear to have wiped themselves out, though. When we left Earth, only a few were remaining."
Aribar: "Err... Umm... What was the last thing in your logs before the crash? These ruins are... No where NEAR Whaller!"
Console: "As I said earlier, that man destroyed the engines while our ship neared this planet. Instead of using a nearby wormhole to warp to Whaller, we crashed into this unknown planet. 99% casualty rate. One person, of unknown origin, survived. It is of reason that only if this person was... special, could they even still live today."
Aribar: "Hrm... Do you know the name of the survivor?"
Console: "Unknown. The sensors were too heavily damaged to identify even the race of subject X5-98. He shut down this console before any other scans could be done."
Aribar begins pacing back and forth, wondering the meaning of this...
Console: "This console is the only thing left, besides... that staff, which you mentioned."
Metal Man (GM): You'd notice the staff, nearby, laying near some debris.
Console: "For some reason, that staff was left here."
Aribar doesn't pick up the staff, but does have his gaze linger on the staff for a few seconds.
Metal Man (GM): It's a stone staff, made out of the same material as the ship. The inscription which tells of General Sha'Fol's return contains an immensely powerful spell. The entire device has enough magical energy in it to make it appear to glow to you.
Aribar: "It sounds as if you were not with the original bunch of ships that came to Whaller... Is this correct?"
Console: "Correct... this was one of the last ships, corresponding with the complete desertion of Earth. The Solarians, who had won the three powers war, were disappearing. We left, knowing no one could live on the blackened husk of Earth. If you do not know, the Three-powers war was between the Whalleranians, Solarians, and... Maricians."
Editor's Note: Ah, I can't wait until we're finally done with this season and it's nonsensical Three Powers war terminology.
Aribar just shakes his head, not sure what to make of this. "...I've heard of all three."
Console: "The mages, the magitek-users, and... the technological geniuses. The Maricians, a neo-Atlantean sect, were often seen stealing and using Solarian devices for their own gain. They were the worst of the three... wishing eternal destruction on everything. Even the godless Solarians knew right from wrong. The Solarians obliterated them all with their machine; the Whalleranians fled from the machine's wave of destruction, but were strangely not affected by it."
Editor's Note: In the current canon, all of this was just The Void pulling the wool over people's eyes, in service to Illian. Instead, the Time Cops made Nintendus using NOVA as an answer to Wolfman's wish; then, they began to plot against the people on Nintendus by letting outsiders like Illian (a Solarian), Kuja, etc invade and blow it to bits. All this false history left behind being mostly a means to trick people out of finding the actual history, as, suspiciously enough, nothing ever came up about it until some random session needed it to distract from something else.
Aribar: "Odd..."
Console: "There were far fewer Whalleranians left, by then; it appears the Solarians wished to kill their rivals, the Maricians."
Aribar: "About Sha'Fol... Did he hold anything against Whallerians?"
Console: "He was a third of each side, and rumored to be a chosen one. He lead the Solarians, though."
Aribar: "A third of each side?" *The elf watches the images, wondering how that war got started.*
Console: "He had no grudge; merely a hatred of Maricians. It was the Maricians which killed most of the Whalleranians. He was, reportedly, devastated when his weapon backfired and burnt Earth to a crisp."
Metal Man (GM): *Images of mages being overwhelmed by armies of super-intelligent robots, made of models much like Metal Sonic and similar builds.*
Aribar: "What actions would you recommend if I met him?"
Console: "He is peaceful; the Solarians were leaving existence, it seemed. He is most likely to pity the devastation of us, rather than react with rage. I would suggest treating him with respect, nothing more."
Metal Man (GM): *Final image; the Solarians overwhelmed by the tirade of machines, only to use their Solarian Magitek machine to obliterate the Maricians, who had almost overrun the planet.*
Console: "The three powers war was terrible. People allied merely on their weapon type... it was despicable, and only the Whalleranians are suspected to have survived as a race."
Aribar: "That is true."
Console: "The Maricians were exterminated en-masse while the Solarians slowly died of broken hearts, or withered without an enemy to fight. ...You appear to be from the future. It would be most useful if I could see a holder of information. I could trace the final outcome of the great exodus of all."
Aribar: "Hrm..." *He takes out his Smash Dex.* "Perhaps this could help?"
Console: "Information device scanned... !!! This... is amazing! Whalleranians survive war, eventually getting an entire planet to themselves... Solarians entirely dead; General Sha'Fol revived from the dead, along with his ancient Atlantean city. Sha'Fol disappears... Evil Marician, named Gerald Robotnik, finishes the Marician ultimate weapon, named The Void. The Void deployed twice, but fails against... a mercenary group named the Questers... including you, who are named Aribar... Evil Marician continues to attack; it turns out his top two machines, Smithy and Grodus, both enhanced with stolen Solarian Technology, attack again and again until killed..."
Editor's Note: Note to self, stop trying to write nonsense to glue things together that... don't fit.
Aribar nods. "Yup... "
Console: "Other Marician, Ivan Robotnik, establishes a single city, where the last remains of his civilization live. It is also thought that the so-called 'primitive' Hylians are Marician in descent. A third, the youngest Marician left, Ivo Robotnik, deceives a Lunarian mind-clone and takes off with the most advanced technology yet... ...And a final abomination, which... ...I can't place, named Kuja... ...Appears to embody all three civilizations put together... and the entire evil of the war... into one person... ...This... is... both greatly terrible and stupendous."
Aribar: "A fitting description for one as vile as him."
Console: "The war is over, then... but there still lurks evil. Namely, the maligned Marician named Gerald, who appears to not be dead... yes. He is not dead. He never died... despite several apparent deaths through history... clones! CLONES! ...It is a good thing you told me... only the ancient magic, technology, or Magitek is sophisticated enough to detect Marician clones."
Aribar: "Is there a way to completely destroy Marician clones?"
Console: "...The Marician has used and stolen Whalleranian X-orbs... The clones are perfectly mortal; several has died. It is the now thousands of years old Marician who I fear... he has lived many lives through the Marician rebirth machine. He has the power of the Solarian Temple! ...It was destroyed, but he obtained the tainted knowledge... So... there are two threats left. One of them is Gerald, and... a second is that thing which is named Kuja... which appears to use all three civilization's hatred and rage as if they were all his own. ...I am afraid this is all I can say; it becomes too distant to see the complete image; the Marician Rebirth machine was thought impossible to use."
Aribar: "...Could it be said that Kuja and Sha'fol are similar because they're part of all three races?"
Console: "Kuja is different... he is a weapon made with all three races's technologies. How that can be done is preposterous; it's impossible, physically. Sha'fol is a human being who has genes from all three races in equal proportion. They are similar, but Kuja is a divine magitek machine."
Aribar: "...He's a MACHINE?!"
Console: "He wields all powers as if they were his own, and possesses knowledge that defies physics and reality itself... records show he was actually made as a normal magic weapon in another dimension... ...He has mechanical parts as well as magical and magitek. Biologically altered tissues, to be exact. A less-used but equally powerful approach, making something out of organic tissues in a way to be extremely efficient and yet sentient to boot."
Aribar: "Do you know how we could even begin to destroy him?"
Console: "I cannot know... the powers are enough to overwhelm and defeat even the Solarian Machine or The Void... or the unknown superweapon that the Whalleranians most certainly have never used. He has the powers of all three put together, in my estimation. ...Though the staff may hold some clues. It holds incredible destructive power."
Aribar walks over to the pile of rubble it is in... "... Is it safe to pick up? Is it sentient?"
Console: "...I do not know. It appears to be exhibiting increased magical energy... and has been for thousands of years without dimming, according to this data. It is an unknown object."
Aribar takes a steadying breath and tries to pick it up.
Metal Man (GM): You pick it up. It suddenly glows... *SHOOP* A person in all-black suddenly flies out of it.
Aribar: "Well, lightning from the heavens haven't struck me do---Wha?!"
???: "...At last... I have been freed from my time-traveling journey. ...Who... are... you?"
Aribar: "I was about to ask you the same thing."
Metal Man (GM): A man, wearing all black clothes, with short, black hair, and red eyes, gets up.
Aribar raises the staff a bit. "Does this belong to you?"
Dumon Tuval: "I am Dumon Tuval... and that is my staff, yes. I was trapped in it when somebody destroyed the ship."
Aribar: "You are a Whallerian?"
Dumon Tuval: "Unquestionably one. I'd be dead from the Solarian Machine if I wasn't one. I was just trying to escape the famine on Earth... now I'm on an unknown planet in the future, talking to some mysterious person."
Aribar: "Hrm... You must be the crew member the computer said survived. I am Aribar Hunter."
Dumon Tuval: "It is nice to meet you... but I find it odd... you are also unquestionably Whalleranian... yet you are alive, and you are here. It seemed that everyone else was dead when the staff trapped me. Was a rescue party sent?"
Aribar: "I do not believe so. You were the only survivor on that ship. You are on Nintendus, a planet many, many, many years and light years from Whaller and your time period."
Dumon Tuval: "Ah... just where... ... I didn't want to go! This is terrible. Could I have a look at the staff?"
Aribar: "Okay." *The elf walks over and hands his fellow Whallerian the staff.*
Dumon Tuval: *Takes the staff, looks it over* "Hmmm... what is this? The terrible Sha'Fol will return? ...Why was this written on my staff?"
Aribar shrugs, having no answer. "He has returned, but he isn't really... Evil."
Dumon Tuval: "I can't seem to get it off, either. ...And I just noticed the total devastation around me. It's a trick! He killed thousands of people! Earth is dead thanks to him!"
Aribar: "This is all that is left of your ship."
Dumon Tuval: "...Well, that's just peachy." *Goes over to the console, and whacks it a few times* "Console! CONSOLE! Start the self-repair mechanisms!"
Console: "...The equipment for that was destroyed."
Aribar sighs and shakes his head. "He's good, he's evil, he's neutral... It seems like Sha'Fol has been on every side of the alignment spectrum."
Editor's Note: Yup, it's because Sha'fol was just a dirty rotten plot device, and so never had any actual character -- only doing what had to be done to make the plot SEEM to make sense.
Dumon Tuval: "...Great... now I'm going to have to find some..."
Aribar: "Hrm... Where would you go if it was fixed?"
Dumon Tuval: "To Whaller, of course! I must go to the holy planet... ...And take this ship with me, too. It will be most comfort to the families of the people who died here. All I need is a good Agemon Accelerator to get this thing working again. Do you sell them anywhere?"
Aribar: "...Never heard of it, but we can get it repaired."
Dumon Tuval: "Repaired? I guess that will have to do." *Begins picking through the wreckage, assembling some stuff out of the wreckage* "Well, at least there's enough stuff to open up a warp gate. I'd hate to have to walk."
Console: "Basic self-repair system has been rebuilt."
Dumon Tuval: "Now I'll just need that accelerator... seeing as this system can't repair those kind of engines." *Sits down in a ruined chair.*
Metal Man (GM): Energy would begin to appear at all the broken surfaces of the various parts of the ruins. Dust off the ground would slowly float up and reassemble, causing the wreck to very... very... slowly reassembled itself. It's mainly focused around the still-damaged self-repair system.
Dumon Tuval: "It's a shame the self-repair system was hit the hardest. It'll take days before it can even repair the doors!"
Aribar: "Maybe not."
Dumon Tuval: "Hmmmmm?"
Aribar takes out his Smash Dex again. "SIMBER? Mewtwo? Metal?"
SIMBER: "Transmission received. What can I do for you?"
Dumon Tuval: "...You sure do use a lot of machines for a Whalleranian..."
Aribar: "Could you send that Whaller transportation scroll as well as Star Fox's best repairmen."
SIMBER: "Affirmative."
Aribar looks up to Dumon. "Times have... Advanced. At least on this planet."
Metal Man (GM): *WARP* The Star Fox repairmen appear... mostly little robots and the like. They accelerate the repairing process.
Console: "All self-repair systems have been activated."
Dumon Tuval: "So it's become so far into the future, that even Whalleranians use machines? Crazy."
Aribar: "No, no, no. I'm the only Whallerian on this planet... A little accident while casting a spell. Back on our home planet, they're not nearly as advanced."
Dumon Tuval: "Well that's just peachy. I hope we're not going to be hunted by rabid Maricians. That scroll, however, looks just like the ones they used back on Earth."
Aribar: "The worst third are the Thieves of Whaller... A group of murderous humans who wish to take over the planet... As a Protector of Whaller, I was one of many who try to stop them. Eh? There's more than one?"
Dumon Tuval: "Well, they didn't go directly to Whaller, but they happen to have ones for several different places. Though they were terribly expensive to buy, seeing as they had to be kept from Solarians at all costs. Maricians were no third, though. They hated everything magic."
Aribar: "This scroll is probably a one-of-a-kind item now... In fact, a copy of it had to be destroyed."
Dumon Tuval: "Hmmm... well, a scroll that goes to Whaller is probably the most dangerous one for a Solarian to find. Seeing as it would allow any force the chance to appear without warning and destroy everything afresh. Thieves are a joke, though... must be relatively peaceful there."
Aribar shakes his head.
Dumon Tuval: "Seeing as I'm used to hordes of supermachines and planet-destroying deathrays... it isn't? Let me guess. The thieves are Solarians out for magic?"
Aribar: "That is just a name. They've a strong military base that is protectively hid in the Jentanians mountains. No, there are no Solarians or Maricians on Whaller."
Dumon Tuval: "Hmmm... well, then it isn't all bad. It was the inter-racial conflicts which were the most destructive. Entire continents vaporized by spells, magitek, or Death Eggs."
Aribar: "Once at Whaller, try looking for an organization called the Protectors of Whaller. Perhaps your experience could help destroy the thieves." *He hands the scroll over to Dumon.*
Dumon Tuval: "Destroy them? That would be no problem. This staff is the most powerful artifact... that I know of."
Aribar: "They've been a plague for over 100 years... Their main base isn't even known."
Dumon Tuval: "Let's see... rather fancy and old-fashioned, I see. I guess they forgot how to write in common and have it still work. Or it could be a seal against non-Whalleranians. Well, if I want this entire ship back, I'm going to have to use more than my own power. Let's see how thousands of years have been treating this staff."
Aribar: "Magicians only know how to write in the arcane runes back on Whaller... Things certainly have seemed to changed."
Dumon Tuval: *Begins reading the scroll; it floats in the air. Then he raises the staff to it.* "Great Staff of Destruction, grant me the power to send me, this ship, and all aboard it through time and space to Whaller!"
Metal Man (GM): The staff glows, showing immensely strong energy readings. The scroll itself glows a bright white.
Aribar begins to have doubts now...
Metal Man (GM): The energy then glows on everything... *WARP* ...And you appear in a field, on Whaller. The scroll floats down, rolls up, and lands back in Aribar's hands.
Dumon Tuval: "Well, I do think we're here. Or we've flown back in time to Earth. I'm not even going to recognize the latter as a possibility."
Aribar: "Gah! I didn't know you'd teleport me too."
Dumon Tuval: "Hmmm? Oh... sorry. I didn't know. The staff was a bit too powerful to pick and choose what it warped. Last time I did that... uhh... I wound up being sealed in it by mistake."
Aribar puts the scroll into his item bag and looks about. "That's okay I suppose... I can always warp back with the scroll."
Metal Man (GM): This would be familiar to you. A large city which you would recognize would be nearby.
Dumon Tuval: "Hmmm... the raw magical energy here is wondrous. Perhaps I can fix my craft after all."
Aribar: "That's Portcity over there... The capital of the country of West Jenta. At least I'm pretty sure it is. Hrm... Have you any money?"
Dumon Tuval: "I believe this should do... this was the money for the entire voyage... I took it shortly before things went bad. You know, to store it."
Metal Man (GM): He pulls out a huge bag with money overflowing from it. There's enough money to buy at least two more ships comparable (but not as ancient) to his own. And that's after paying to repair his ancient ship.
Aribar: "I-I-I'd say so! That's a ton! Well... Ummm... You'll probably need to procure a map of Whaller, and find some mechanics... The gnomes of Maintain to the west should be able to help."
Dumon Tuval: "If you wish to go... well, not home, since we're already here, you can. I should be able to take care of myself with this information... oh!"
Aribar: "Also, in Port City try to book passage to Venca Island... The H.Q. of the Protectors of Whaller is there. If you tell them I sent you they may help you a bit."
Dumon Tuval: "I just forgot... I should really repay you. You know, for freeing me from being trapped in a staff for thousands of years. Perhaps... a special magical spell for you?"
Aribar: "It's nothing... A accident."
Dumon Tuval: "You could really use it, facing the people the computer told me about."
Aribar: "Hrm... What kind? I suppose learning an ancient spell would be interesting... Err... Not ancient by your standards I mean..."
Dumon Tuval: "Ray of Destruction. The most powerful Whalleranian magic... though it sacrifices a lot of life force (One life) to work. I'm sure it was never found... this is the only object with that spell on it. That's probably why the other person tried to crash us. Well then. Here you go."
Metal Man (GM): The staff glows... then you glow. Ancient magic knowledge enters your mind. *Aribar Learned: Ray of Destruction!* MP: Uses all of your MP. Note: Can only be used occasionally; constant use risks possible unexplained problems.
Dumon Tuval: "Use it carefully... I believe it was one of my misuses of it which lead to my eternal entrapment."
Aribar: "I see... I shall try my best to use it only if necessary."
Dumon Tuval: "That is the best way to use it. It may have saved my life, by accident. Now then, you may leave... nothing more than some errand-making of mine to do, anyway."
Aribar nods... "It was a pleasure meeting you. I hope you fix your ship." *He gets ready to read the scroll.*
Dumon Tuval: "Indeed. I shall make sure to fix it... it was beautiful in new condition."
Aribar starts chanting the words on the scroll and activating the spell.
Metal Man (GM): The scroll glows, eventually warping you back to HQ. *SIDEQUEST COMPLETED* Aribar gains: 100 EXP. No coins gained.
Aribar hrms, standing outside and digesting all that has happened for a few minutes before going back inside to the R&R... And looking weirdly at Locos and he still sees the Lunarian hanging upside down on the ceiling.
Aribar (GM): *Mission Start* It's just another day at the stadium... Sun's shining, not a cloud in the sky... Evil's at bay... You'd both be wherever you want to be at the stadium when your Dexes begin to beep.
Charles Magellean finally wakes from his 3-4 day hibernation on the ceiling in R&R. "Huh... Gwaauughh!! " *THUD ...Unfortunately, when he hears the alarm, he loses his gripping of his toes being in the ceiling and lands.*
Smash Dexes: *Beepbeepbeep. Beepbeepbeep...* *Your dexes continue to beep.*
Charles Magellean gets up slowly, rotating shoulder blades and opens dex to be relayed message.
Digifanatic: "Yeah yeah yeah..." *He opens up his Dex...* "Alright, let's see what's going on here..." *He would be in his room, BTW...*
Aribar (GM): The message is full of static... With the dashes representing static. "S--! SOS! D--ons attac---g! Co--o Dodongo's Ca--rn--Death Mountain!" It then goes completely to static... Nothing more.
Digifanatic: "Okay..." *He heads to Big Room...*
Charles Magellean heads to the Big Room... sees if there's anyone to give a debriefing.
Aribar (GM): As you both arrive at the Big Room, you see no one there...
Charles Magellean greets Digi.
Digifanatic: "Hey, Charles... This is odd that nobody's here..."
Charles Magellean: "Top o' the afternoon to ya."
Aribar (GM): Not Mewtwo or any commanding figures.
Charles Magellean: "I don't, considering that this was an IMMEDIATE signal."
Digifanatic: "Eh, point taken."
Charles Magellean: "We'll just leave a message here so the Cos know where we'll be heading. I'll meet you in the Warp Room."
Digifanatic: "Ah."
Charles Magellean: "You write it, I'll go to my room and get the supplies."
Digifanatic: "Sure. Not a problem."
Charles Magellean heads to said room and gathers ...7 unique items; mostly legendary weapons and relics. He attaches the gun vest, and takes his suitcase. He heads to warp room.
Digifanatic grabs a pen and starts writing down: 'Charles and I got a message to go to, we believe, Dodongo's Cavern at Death Mountain. There was a lot of static, but that seems to be correct. -_Digi'
Aribar (GM): The warp room isn't set up for warping, but using a console nearby should set it up. Or calling SIMBER.
Digifanatic tries ringing up SIMBER...
SIMBER: "Yes, Digi?"
Digifanatic: "Magellan and I need a warp to Dodongo's Cavern at Death Mountain..."
SIMBER: "Setting up the warp now..."
Digifanatic: "Anyways..."
Aribar (GM): In the middle of the room a square tile begins glowing blue and provides some light.
Charles Magellean equips is sword from a previous Ari mission that Metal found but later gave to Charles. "You first."
Digifanatic: "Okay..." *He enters the warp...*
Charles Magellean steps alongside Digi.
Aribar (GM): Both of you appear at the start of the trail up to Death Mountain. To your backs lie Kakariko Village, and in front of you the trail up the mountain. http://www.vgmusic.com/music/console/Nintendo/n64/zd64-03.mid Unlike in Link's day where boulders rolled down the hill to squash puny adventurers, there are none rolling down right now.
Digifanatic looks up..."Well, that's a relief..." "I guess..." *He starts pacing carefully up the trail...*
Charles Magellean walks alongside as well. "Probably some Gorons that got stuck in Dodongo's cave and some cult or group unnatural to Death Mountain is in there. Let's go and shoo them outta there."
Aribar (GM): Anyone who has played Ocarina of Time would be familiar with the landscape. Up a bit farther lies a large cavern, and then you can see the path does a U turn and continues up the mountain.
Digifanatic: "Ah..."
Charles Magellean: "It's anybody's guess until we get there."
Digifanatic: "Indeed. With a name like 'Death,' you could not be more right..."
Aribar (GM): Both of you would notice several shadows quickly going over your head and behind you.
Charles Magellean: "That only happens once--" *He stops and peers out the corner of his eyes. He puts both hands on the side of his sheathed sword.*
Aribar (GM): Seven spider-like monsters are behind you... And another seven leap out in front of you.
Digifanatic: "Yeah... this is quite peculiar... yikes!"
Aribar (GM): Red Tektites! Fourteen of them! Locos, your go.
Charles Magellean unsheathes his sword. "It's a pincer attack... they seem to have more intelligence than instinct in this immediate speculation." *He charges towards Red Tektite 1 and goes for a downward blow.*
Aribar (GM): A hit!
Charles Magellean: *15% dark damage if connects.* "...It's still alive!"
Aribar (GM): It's hit, and takes a good amount of damage, but yes, it is still alive.
Charles Magellean goes for a gouge into its eye.
Aribar (GM): It leaps back to dodge it.
Charles Magellean sheaths his sword and catches the briefcase he threw earlier into the air... he peers around looking from an observation stance.
Digifanatic finds the swarm of Tektites perfect for his situation... he starts off with a Fire Punch... into the ground! QUAKE SMASH.
Charles Magellean jumps the earthquake to not be knocked over. "Hey!"
Aribar (GM): All of those hit... And flip them over! One's dead... Calculating damage now. Two's dead. Continue your turn.
Digifanatic launches at the second one with a Super Mario Punch...
Aribar (GM): Julian: You would have noticed earlier that Locos and Digi entered a warp, so you've probably followed them, appearing right beside them... And a bunch of four-legged, spider-like creatures. Hit.
Charles Magellean: "If you can, conserve your energy for the battles to come. No telling what's new in that cave."
Aribar (GM): Death!
Digifanatic then uses the Golf Club on the third...
Charles Magellean: "...Twelve."
Aribar (GM): Hole-in-one! Death!
Julian Sawyer: *A generic blue warp portal appears on the ground next to Charles and Digi, and Julian is sent out of it, launches about 10 feet in the air and landing on his feet.*
Charles Magellean adjusts his contacts.
Digifanatic: "And eleven... oh, hey, Julian."
Aribar (GM): All of the Tektites spend their turns up-righting themselves.
Charles Magellean: "I was wondering when you could come. These things aren't strong, so use multiple hitting techniques."
Julian Sawyer: "Hey guys."
Aribar (GM): Ten Red Tektites. He killed two with his Fire Punch and one per Coin Punch and Golf Club. Anyways... Continue, Julian.
Julian Sawyer: *Surveys the situation* "...Okay then, let's go to work." *Julian plucks his fedora from his head (Hey! Most of his hair has grown back!), and squeezes the feather. A blade pops out around the brim, and Julian throws it, attacking 9 Tektites once with a Hat Trick.*
Aribar (GM): All but one hits. Only two left.
Julian Sawyer catches his hat on the return and puts it back on his head.
Charles Magellean throws his briefcase into the air again. He makes a run towards the Red Tektite and upon connection he unsheathes his sword and connects with two strikes with the sword. *sheaths the heavy sword and extends his arm into the air. He catches the briefcase with his right hand.*
Aribar (GM): Only the second one hits.
Charles Magellean: *15% dark damage He observes the two remaining tektites. +2 AC. End of Turn.*
Aribar (GM): Death! Digi
Julian Sawyer: "Finish 'em off, Digi."
Digifanatic decides to just take this one easy and use a Fire Punch...
Aribar (GM): Burnination. 280 EXP and... 420 coins? Why the heck would spiders carry coins?
Editor's Note: Clearly they were going to buy themselves some designer webs.
Digifanatic: "And there we go..."
Julian Sawyer: "Yay."
Aribar (GM): Also, another beam of light appears as Metal steps out of a warp.
Julian Sawyer: "Hey Metal."
Digifanatic: "Okay, now this is more like it..."
Metal Man: "Hello, everybody. I see I missed something." * Looks around rather curiously, notices dead Tektite * "...Darn... I wanted to throw one of those off a cliff, like old times."
Charles Magellean is content with coins. He cannot receive EXP.
Digifanatic gets a chuckle out of Metal's statement... "Whatever ya say, man."
Julian Sawyer: "...Right. So why are we here?"
Charles Magellean: "Distress call from Dodongo Cave. There were problems receiving it."
Digifanatic: "Yeah, tis mostly static..."
Julian Sawyer: "...What, is someone smoking?"
Charles Magellean: "I believe something unnatural to Death Mountain is in there. We must head in there immediately."
Metal Man: "Could be, you never know. Always bad people on Death Mountain, I swear."
Aribar (GM): The way up to Dodongo's Cavern seems clear now.
Charles Magellean: "It's a good thing I put on a Fire Tunic before I came here."
Julian Sawyer: "Smokin's bad for ya..." *Heads on.*
Charles Magellean heads in into cave.
Aribar (GM): Yup... The way's clear. Julian gets sidetracked by that bug hole outside the cavern, though.
Metal Man follows everybody as usual, looking spiffy.
Digifanatic looks at Charles..."I shoulda known..."
Aribar (GM): As the Questers enter the large cavern, they see that it has suffered the wear and tear of the years since the Gorons have moved on from mining it. All of the side passages have collapsed, and the rock elevator that took people up to the second floor has long since melted in the lake of lava in the middle of the room. To the left of the Questers is an a small off-shoot cave that doesn't go very far. In front of the Questers is a small metal pier over the lava and in the middle of the pool a large platform with a large, sleeping lizard on it--A Dodongo. Behind the platform is a HUGE Dodongo skull which has its mouth open to form a bridge to another cavern. Dah! Spoony notepad... Ah well... That's the description of the place.
Metal Man: "Looks different today."
Charles Magellean: "Anyone up for a little climbing to the central platform?"
Metal Man: "Climbing? I can fly everywhere..."
Digifanatic: "Wow..."
Aribar (GM): Nothing stopping you... In that little cave to the left you'd now notice some sort of large-leafed plant.
Metal Man would look around a bit, then head onto the small metal pier to get a closer look at the Dodongo on the central platform.
Digifanatic tries to get a better look at that plant...
Charles Magellean: "Metal, why don't you go fly over there and check out that unnatural growth over there?"
Metal Man: "Hmmm... I'll get to that next."
Aribar (GM): Digi: As you near it a head pops up... It's a Deku scrub! It doesn't attack yet, but just looks at you.
Digifanatic jumps back a bit...
Aribar (GM): Metal: INT check.
Charles Magellean waits aboard the middle platform of the room; the one where big ol' open thing is.
Digifanatic starts walking away from the Deku... it doesn't seem to bite yet...
Aribar (GM): Metal: You discern some sort of figure on the wooden bridge high above the skeleton head... Some human in high-tech looking armor with a black-bladed sword and a gun looking down at you. All who want to jump to the platform with the Dodongo, which seems like the only way to go at the moment, must make a jump/STR check, DC 15.
Digifanatic thinks he might as well...
Aribar (GM): Both of you barely make it ... Well, Now Digi doesn't? And now he does! ... And is that written on the site, Charles? ... Then you both fall into the lava, taking 10% damage.
Metal Man boards his Star Board, and takes off for the wooden bridge where the mysterious person in armor lies.
Charles Magellean gets that singeing sensation...
Aribar (GM): Luckily, the lava isn't the instant-kill variety, and you'll need to jump back up now... Yes.
Charles Magellean makes various face expressions. He's ready to get up jump to a lower platform and reach the top again.
Aribar (GM): The mysterious figure Metal is chasing after heads towards the entrance on the left side of the cavern. Both of you make it to the platform. As for Metal...
Charles Magellean climbs up on to the platform after struggling.
Metal Man: "Come back here! What are you here for?"
Aribar (GM): Both of you enter the next room, and the figure dashes towards a shadowed wall ... And then leaps into the wall... And doesn't go splat.
Charles Magellean looks from this from the corner of his eye.
Metal Man: "This is most confusing... what wall would allow someone to do that?"
Digifanatic does as well, not quite as struggled to do so, but is intrigued by that guy...
Metal Man would give the wall a few test shots, shooting at it to see if it would budge or act abnormally in any fashion.
Charles Magellean refocuses his attention to the room.
Aribar (GM): Your shots just make the wall get a few burn marks as it normally would. Charles and Digi: You'd be right near the Dodongo now on that platform.
Metal Man: "Well then, I guess I can't follow him... a shame, really. He looked like somebody just like me."
Aribar (GM): You could probably take advantage of its prone position, or sneak by it.
Digifanatic tries to carefully creep past it.
Metal Man turns around, and walks back out on the bridge, and watches Charles and Digi with the Dodongo.
Aribar (GM): Digi sneaks past to the mouth of the skull, and the door to the next room, without waking it.
Charles Magellean dexes the Dodongo in .txt mode. Specifics: HP.
Health: 0/300%
Charles Magellean: "I'll just be walking slowly then. ...In a ninja fast kinda way."
Digifanatic does the "quiet" gesture (the index finger over closed lips) at Charles...
Aribar (GM): Like a ninja, you are not. You step on the thing's tail, making it roar and turn to face you... On the good side, you're half-way past it!
Metal Man: "Hmmm... I'm a bit too far away to fight it from here... but do I want burn marks on my beautiful armor?"
Charles Magellean: "...I stepped on your tail... I suppose you want payback for that?"
Metal Man would appear to be standing in the same area that the earlier person in armor occupied... creepy.
Charles Magellean looks to the others. "STAND back! I will handle this issue since I interfered with it!!"
Aribar (GM): You can run away or fight it... Or something else.
Charles Magellean: *Tail!*
Dodongo: *Hissing sounds.*
Metal Man: "Not like I'd want to get fire on my armor anyway."
Charles Magellean stands firm to allow the Dodongo to be even.
Digifanatic keeps away...
Charles Magellean: "As apology, I accept the beating equal to the amount of pain you felt." *He passes his turn and allows himself to be hit for the dodongo's next turn.*
Digifanatic: .oO(Boy, am I in an odd situation...)
Dodongo: .oO(Lunch no move... Lunch step on tail... BBQ'd person goood... With lava ketchup... Mmmmm.)
Aribar (GM): It begins inhaling a big breath of air... Sure you don't want to move?
Charles Magellean dexes the dondongo to know what it's doing.
Aribar (GM): Fire Breath: After inhaling a huge amount of air, the Dodongo exhales a blast of fire upon a target for 30% Fire damage. +10 ranged attack roll modifier.
Metal Man watches, looking like a statue.
Aribar (GM): And then, it breaths fire on the tasty Lunarian treat! A hit I believe? 30% damage.
Charles Magellean puts away the dex. Yes, I will accept this burning to show he is sorry.
Metal Man: "You know, they no longer say catching on fire is gone for you. It doesn't prevent cancer. Now getting electrocuted is another story..."
Charles Magellean coughs. Breathes in another direction. He looks to the Dodongo.
Aribar (GM): And it'd be your turn now, Charley.
Charles Magellean: "I took a swipe at you, and you have returned the favor. Now, I will not interfere with your life anymore." *He turns and walks away.*
Dodongo: .oO(Lunch talk too much... Where lunch go?)
Charles Magellean goes towards the others.
Aribar (GM): It intakes another breath of air, ready to fry you again.
Charles Magellean stops...
Metal Man: "Look at how agile I am-- ahhhhhh!!!!"
Aribar (GM): You do land in front of the skull... Just not in front enough... Into the lava for 10%.
Metal Man: "...I'm really hot... yes... HOTHOTHOT!!!" *Runs back onto the ground... if he has to, he'll jump outta the lava... which he does.*
Charles Magellean turns around and pulls out his sword. He goes toward the Dodongo and inserts his sword to the Dodongo's tongue bottom.
Aribar (GM): The Dodongo stops to inhale to look oddly at Metal...
Metal Man: "What are you looking at?" *Is currently still slightly on fire*
Aribar (GM): You do hit, but just the natural scale-armor the the lizard, not the mouth... It's pretty mad now.
Charles Magellean pulls his sword out.
Aribar (GM): Metal would be on the same middle platform with the skull and Dodongo as everyone else now.
Charles Magellean: "So, you want lunch instead of an apology? Then let's see who can make lunch of who!"
Metal Man: "Hmmm... if you want dead lizard, then sign me up... I'm hungry."
Aribar (GM): Locos doing anything else your turn?
Metal Man: "My armor's already looking hideous from landing in magma."
Charles Magellean: "Again, this is my battle, Metal."
Metal Man: "Can I heal you?"
Charles Magellean: "Indeed. It seems my kindness was taken advantage of."
Metal Man: "It won't involve any shooting..." .oO(Eureka! My next invention: Shooting people to heal them!)
Charles Magellean charges against the Dodongo... and RAMS into it! *120% damage unless DR is involved.*
Aribar (GM): It roars in pain ... And now wants to kill you! Do you have another action, or are you done? You may pass it if you wish. Or go against Locos's wishes.
Digifanatic passes his turn again... "For the sake of Charles... I must let him go."
Metal Man: "Well then. We can't be having you all burnt up, can we? Crystal Purification!"
Metal Man (GM): *25 damage is healed from Charles by a blue crystal.*
Charles Magellean: "Thank you. The Lunarian spirits appreciate your non-interference with a vendetta of a Lunarian."
Editor's Note: It's all the same to Illian, who could probably destroy the Dodongo in 25 seconds flat otherwise.
Charles Magellean: "And thank you, Illian."
Metal Man then goes into defense mode, twice. (+2, then + 2 again in AC to himself--yes, I'll write this down) "You're welcome. As always."
Aribar (GM): The Dodongo doesn't appreciate the help... It tries to push Metal off the ledge by slamming him with its tail.
Charles Magellean begins to wind up his arm...
Metal Man blocks it with his defensive stance.
Charles Magellean: "Here ya go..."
Metal Man: "I already had my lava bath today. I don't need another." * Metal wipes some brimstone off of one of his shoulders *
Charles Magellean: "Big... Giant... Omega level 3 PUNCH!"
Aribar (GM): Sounds... Powerful. Gonna roll it?
Charles Magellean's done winding up. His left arm is a big ol' hairy arm with a humongous ...hand. He launches it against the Dodongo!
Aribar (GM): The lizard howls in pain again as you punch through its scaled defense. It is still kickin', though.
Charles Magellean uses his sword to further pierce it.
Metal Man: "That's a sword, not a large roll of French Bread!"
Charles Magellean: "That was to catch you off guard!" *He unsheathes his sword....* "AUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!"
Aribar (GM): You don't hit its previous wound, thus just scratching the scales for no damage.
Charles Magellean begins to have wind swirl into his mouth. He will attempt to Inhale the Dodongo.
Aribar (GM): 0_o
Metal Man (GM): @_@
Aribar (GM): Good news: You do so. Bad news: You've heartburn now.
Metal Man (GM): 3> BURN
Charles Magellean Copies it for 30 HP.
Aribar (GM): I suppose you gain a move and a hat now? Or does Inhale just give you some HP?
Digifanatic: "Charles, considering he didn't teach you that, would Kirby be upset at you if he saw you do that?"
Metal Man: "Kirby woulda been upset when I used that on a Farmer Zombie a long time ago..."
Digifanatic: "Eh... anyways..."
Aribar (GM): Fire Breath: Spew forth flames that deal Speed x 2 damage, and has a Speed modifier. You'd also have a hat of a Dodongo's head on your head for some reason... I guess the heartburn killed him ... Why on earth did he INHALE one?!
Metal Man (GM): He loves to inhale things. Like Cactuar. And X-Nauts.
Aribar wonders if a Dodongo is part of your daily balanced lunch.
Metal Man (GM): I think he also tried to inhale a wrecking ball. One that was studded with laser guns. He's just like Kirby... trying to eat everything.
Aribar (GM): And his time is up... Through the skull you'd see another chamber to enter ... This cavern really isn't that populated. No enemies inside of the next chamber.
Metal Man heads inside, looking around. "I wonder what that weird guy in armor was doing."
Digifanatic: "No clue." *He follows.*
Aribar (GM): Once inside you'd notice that the northern and eastern ways have caved in, leaving the eastern way.
Metal Man: "Well, this makes our journey easy." *He continued walking, going through the Eastern way.*
Aribar (GM): And there's the Grandmother Dodongo! Err... I mean... The hole in the floor that took Link to the boss battle in the dungeon. However, this time there's a rope ladder leading to the bottom.
Digifanatic: "Well... Guess we should start heading down..."
Metal Man goes to the rope and starts climbing down.
Aribar (GM): The ladder looks like it should hold your weight... Looks like it was recently installed too. It can't be more than a year old, if that.
Metal Man: "Yup... here we go."
Digifanatic follows Metal down again...
Aribar (GM): ... No more encounters. You come into the same cavern where Link killed the King Dodongo. The huge dinosaur is still stuck in the hardened lava, although now it is just a skeleton. On the opposite side of the room you'd spy a small opening in the cavern's wall.
Metal Man: "Look! An opening! We must check it out." *He walks over to the opening and looks inside.*
Digifanatic crosses through the room to said opening.
Aribar (GM): After going to the opening you see it appears to be man-made...
Charles Magellean now has four abilities.
Aribar (GM): Now what shall you guys do? Try to dig through the hardened lava to find some hot springs to gain money off of, turn back, go inside, etc?
Charles Magellean: "I'm always up for making a little more money."
Digifanatic: "Alright..."
Aribar (GM): http://www.ocremix.org/songs/Illusion_of_Gaia_Wills_Journey_OC_ReMix.mp3
Charles Magellean feels his head... a hat? "Is this a side effect to swallowing something that big?"
Metal Man attempts to see if he can get inside the opening. "You never know, it might even be that you have a Cactuar hat to boot."
Aribar (GM): You can probably take the hat off with no ill side effects. You all can. The opening is a little more than five feet wide and seven feet tall.
Digifanatic follows the others.
Charles Magellean has swallowed needles, a sweaty guy in an x-Naut suit, a metal enemy, and now a big scaly dodongo.
Aribar (GM): Once inside you all can definitely tell this is man-made... Mainly because of the fact that the sides are cut into blocks. You all turn around a short bend and emerge into a small dining room it appears.
Digifanatic: "Hmm..."
Aribar (GM): A small stove with a shaft cut to presumably let smoke out sits in the corner, and a small table with three chairs sits in the middle of the room.
Metal Man: "Woohoo! I hope there's food in here." *He looks for... food of all things, in the dining room.*
Male voice: "There is... But you shan't have some."
Charles Magellean: "Like I said... unnatural."
Aribar (GM): From the exit on the far left side of the room comes that voice.
Metal Man: "What if I buy some from you? I have money. Lots of it."
Digifanatic: "Weird..."
Aribar (GM): You'd hear footsteps of a person walking to about the middle of the room, but see nothing.
Charles Magellean whispers, "Not as much as me." ;)
Male Voice: "Don't worry. You won't need food soon... And we'll take your money as well. Thanks for telling us beforehand you have lots of money. Would you like to reveal your weaknesses as well?"
Metal Man: "Yes. I am terribly weak against ice."
Male Voice: "Do you also lie and provide misinformation?"
Charles Magellean: "Illian, he is being sarcastic."
Metal Man: "No, of course not! I am honorable. That's why I told you all about the hoards of money I have."
Editor's Note: Yes, the guy who deceived all the Questers repeatedly is here to tell the truth to an evil voice! ... ...That voice is definitely in trouble.
Digifanatic decides to be quiet and let the other three voices duke it out...
Charles Magellean: "Actually that sentence would be more of a paradox based upon the interpretation of the person who asked it." *He looks to his watch.*
Male Voice: "Before my spell wares off, I guess I should tell you that you've been sent on a wild goose chase."
Metal Man: "Can I have some of the wild goose for dinner?"
Male Voice: "..."
Charles Magellean goes up to Metal. *KER-SMACK.*
Digifanatic breaks his silence. "Thanks..."
Male Voice: "Thank you. I would have done the same, but then my spell would have dissipated."
Charles Magellean: "Slapstick becomes boring if used improperly."
Metal Man: "Ow! I was just trying to be silly. You know, seeing as, if this IS a wild goose chase, I have plenty of time to kill."
Charles Magellean: "A false SOS you say?"
Male Voice: "Now, my team is known as the greatest group of assassins in Nintendus's... Less lawful areas. Our missions have been too easy of late. We've come to realize we have few challenges ahead of us."
Charles Magellean: "And my doubts of this being a Good Future continues to raise."
Male Voice: "Thus, we decided to bring the legendary Questers here to see if they were worth a challenge."
Digifanatic: "Oh."
Male Voice: "If you wish to accept this challenge, then follow me. If not... Well, I guess a certain goron won't live to see the light of tomorrow. Oh, and before I go... You may call me Albuk Coldblade. You'll soon find out."
Charles Magellean: "Green side up and brown side down!"
Aribar (GM): You'd then hear footsteps heading down the exit on the other side of the room.
Metal Man: "A challenge? Well, that sounds fun." *He goes to follow Albuk Coldblade.*
Digifanatic: "Might as well take it..." *He follows the footsteps...*
Aribar (GM): As you follow, you'd notice a passageway to your left as well as one heading into a brightly lit room.
Charles Magellean: "And they question us about lying and misinformation." *He relunctantly follows.*
Digifanatic ignores the path Albuk's steps aren't taking (whichever one it is).
Aribar (GM): Farther down the same passage you find a door heading into the left wall. Do you stop and investigate either distraction? His path continues to the brightly lit room, by the way.
Metal Man continues following Albuk, not interested in experimenting with other doors.
Charles Magellean believes Metal is right. He follows the leader's example.
Aribar (GM): As you enter the room, you notice that it appears to be a training room. In it are two figures.
Metal Man: "Looks interesting to me. What's the challenge about?"
Aribar (GM): The one is wearing black armor with grey skulls decorating his armor. A helmet with demonic wings decorating the sides and covering his eyes sits on his head. A red cape covers his back, and in both hands is a huge, black greatsword which seems to absorb the light in the immediate area.
Charles Magellean sheaths his sword. He crosses both his arms, eyebrow raised. His suitcase still being held.
Aribar (GM): Metal would recognize the second person as the figure he saw earlier. This figure has light metal armor, a gun in his left hand, and a small rod in his right... Which he then ignites to form a dark black photon blade.
Digifanatic: "Well?"
Metal Man: "Hey! That's the guy who was watching us earlier."
First Figure: "I am Dellion Blackguard, destroyer of all goodly figures... My friend here is Kazlo Shadowdancer, our technical mastermind."
Kazlo: "Welcome to our humble abode! It'll be your grave."
Metal Man: "And I am Illian MacGregor, leader of the Questers, who are the protectors of Nintendus and all affiliated realms... and I already almost died once..."
Charles Magellean: "...I believe the correct phrase is 'ceased to exist', Illian."
Dellion: "Don't worry, Illian MacGregor. We'll do the job right and finish you off correctly this time."
Charles Magellean: "Do as you please. I will... stay out of this one."
Aribar (GM): http://www.planetnintendo.com/secretofmana/mp3/som37_-_the_oracle.mp3
Metal Man: "Ah yes... I hope you can do it with 'speed holes' all over you." * He pulls out his AK-47 and aims it at them *
Charles Magellean: "The Questers... handle Quester affairs."
Metal Man begins dancing in tune to the music for his battle stance.
Charles Magellean: "And I am not a Quester... rather, one to help in the fight against Kuja."
Aribar (GM): *Kazlo starts off by dashing at Metal and giving two quick slices with his photon blade.* A crit!
Metal Man is hit twice by the attack. "Well well, you CAN hit. I thought you were just all for show."
Aribar (GM): 30% Dark damage from the crit, 15% Dark by the second one.
Charles Magellean slowly shakes his head with his eyes closed. "Arrogant."
Kazlo: "Most definitely not! This here's my prize weapon!" *He motions to his gun, which he promptly shoots Metal with... A beam of electricity is fired at Metal.*
Aribar (GM): Hit?
Metal Man dodges the attack with a cartwheel.
Kazlo: "Curse you!"
Aribar (GM): Locos Your go.
Metal Man: "Well, if I'm arrogant, then I'm arrogant." :)
Charles Magellean will not attack neither Shadowdancer or Blackguard. He ends his turn without even defending.
Aribar (GM): Dellion rushes at Locos with his massive sword and launches a three-step attack against him. "You've left me an opening!" ... Ouch. All three hit? 184% Dark damage. 46% twice for the normal attacks, 92% for the crit.
Charles Magellean creaks his neck.
Digifanatic first uses one of his Fury Materias... He then tries a Quake Smash-esque Golf Club on both of the enemies...
Charles Magellean focuses his eyes on Blackguard.
Aribar (GM): Both of them avoid it. Same thing.
Digifanatic defends...
Metal Man (GM): 10 damage per hit.
Aribar (GM): Five hits.
Metal Man then quickly switches to his Wand of Wonder, and then points it at Dellion... "TASER!"
Kazlo: "Hmp. You actually think you that you can beat us with such low-tech weapondry?"
Charles Magellean notes how fast Shadowdancer moves... but keeps focused on Blackguard.
Metal Man: "Well, if you think that's weak, then I guess I'll have to show you my greatest invention."
Aribar (GM): That he is.
Metal Man (GM): *Turn over.*
Aribar (GM): He steps behind his partner... And disappears.
Metal Man: "Hmmm... looks like we'll need some sort of infrared scanner to see him now."
Aribar (GM): Metal would sense Kazlo behind him just as the photon blade is thrust at him.
Kazlo: "They don't call me Shadowdancer for nothing!"
Metal Man would be easily hit by that. After all, he doesn't have eyes in the back of his head, unlike Garrick. "Backstabber!"
Aribar (GM): He then follows up with two normal attacks.
Metal Man (GM): One miss, another hit.
Kazlo: "Why, thank you!"
Aribar (GM): 25% damage by the first attack, 15% by the other hitting attack.
Metal Man: "My insanity must be contagious..."
Charles Magellean eyes Blackguard. "...But I will retaliate if I am attacked!"
Metal Man seems somewhat beaten up, but still standing. A normal person, on the other hand, would be on the brink of death.
Dellion: "Hah! I'd like to see you try, little man."
Aribar (GM): He doesn't seem to remember that he's paralyzed.
Metal Man: "Do something really weird! That'll show him who's who!"
Charles Magellean runs with pure strength at Dellion Blackguard. He uses a Warlock Punch.
Aribar (GM): A hit. He staggers backwards a bit under the force of the blow.
Dellion: "Gah!"
Digifanatic: "Well done, Charles..."
Charles Magellean uses this chance to make an "opening" in his hand to launch a Samus Super Missile from his opened palm at the ninja.
Aribar (GM): That is a miss... And a chance to retaliate!
Charles Magellean: *Despite it being Super, it Superly flies by Dellion.*
Aribar (GM): Anything else?
Charles Magellean moves back into place...
Aribar (GM): Dellion rests his sword on his shoulder and raises his right hand into the air while chanting something. He ends it by yelling, "Cure Serious Wounds!"
Charles Magellean: "Like I said, I am not a Quester, so I will not harm you if you do not attempt to strike me."
Dellion: "...We should retreat!"
Kazlo: "...Fine!"
Metal Man: "Darn... I had a really flashy attack planned, too."
Digifanatic: "...What?!"
Aribar (GM): Dellion begins to run towards an exit on the other side of the room... And runs into someone.
Albuk: "...Retreating already? Fine." *... Albuk is still invisible, but it's easy to discern that he's the one Dellion ran into.*
Aribar (GM): Kazlo is the only visible target left.
Metal Man: "Twas quite a challenge, I must say. He just got a beating handed to him."
Digifanatic: "That was odd..." *He then uses an X Accuracy for his first action... He launches a Fire Punch at Kazlo.*
Charles Magellean: "It is Blackguard's doing that I struck at him. If he did not attack me, I wouldn't have have struck back."
Kazlo: "Gah!"
Digifanatic then Dexes Kazlo...
Charles Magellean: "Gah! Bounty hunters!"
Smash Dex: *Ding!*

Aribar (GM): Dellion just ran off, and Tetra just warps in, which will use up his turn. Tetra: You appear in a small room equipped to be a training room. You, along with Digi, Locos, and Metal (Who's currently... Ummm... Starting at an axe on the wall I suppose) are facing off against some person with a black photon sword and a gun. The same person is wearing light metal armor. You also saw another person in black armor decorated with skulls and a red cape run down a hallway on the other side of the room. now. Targets: Kazlo Shadowdancer
Digifanatic starts his turn by trying to use a Super Mario Punch...
Aribar (GM): Hit! Kazlo, Locos, Tetra, Digi
Digifanatic goes OD thanks to his Fury Materia...
Aribar (GM): Continue, Digi. Use... The fork! Errr... *Cough, cough.*
Digifanatic uses an OD Thunderstorm to try and give him a little stun...
Aribar (GM): Kazlo just backflips away from your attacks.
Kazlo: "Hah! Too slow!"
Digifanatic: "Lucky man..." *He then uses an OD Fire Punch...*
Kazlo: "Gah!"
Aribar (GM): Kazlo seemingly disappears into thin air before appearing behind you, Digi, and sticking you twice with his photon weapon before disappearing again.
Digifanatic is hit just by that first one.
Aribar (GM): 25% Darkness by that one. Kazlo reappears at the exit that Dellion went through and begins following is blackguard companion. Albuk, who is still under an invisibility spell, then speaks out. "Time for you to fight us at our full power."
Tetra: "Your full power is running like scared little girls?"
Aribar (GM): The area begins to fill with a mist as you hear the assassin muttering arcane chants.
Charles Magellean: "Underestimate elite assassins, and you will be lifeless before your body reaches the ground."
Aribar (GM): And then the three of you lose your sight...
Digifanatic: "Dah!"
Aribar (GM): Literally, you cannot see anything at all. Everything is black. You'd then hear him running off.
Tetra struggles to keep his composure. "Why bother blinding us when he's already invisible?"
Charles Magellean: "I hear footsteps going from us... not to us."
Digifanatic: "No clue, Tetra..."
Tetra: "Sounds like they were all talk. I guess I didn't even need to come."
Aribar (GM): Your actions are no longer turn-based since the battle's over. Do what you wish.
Tetra: "I don't suppose any of you has a few Able Juices handy."
Digifanatic: "No, sorry..."
Tetra: "Item teleporter than?"
Digifanatic: "None of those either..."
Tetra: "...seeing eye dog?"
Charles Magellean: "You will have to fend for thy selves then..." *He uses true vision check to find the exit.*
Aribar (GM): Hrm...
Tetra: "What do you mean we have to fend for ourselves?! Don't just leave us here!"
Aribar (GM): Locos: You see... To an extent.
Digifanatic: "Let's just follow Charles' footsteps if we need to..."
Aribar (GM): While you can concentrate on keeping your True Vision up the darkness is not there, but the mist that fills the room still obscures your vision to about five feet in front of you.
Digifanatic: "Worst that can happen is if he encounters someone else with shoes."
Tetra: "Great. Wait up, Mr. Magellean!"
Charles Magellean moves 10 steps forward.
Aribar (GM): Another check, Charles.
Tetra follows Charles's footsteps, waving his arms around like... well, like a blind man...
Aribar (GM): True Vision check that is. All is darkness up till your ninth step... That is, you soon lose your vision and until the ninth step all is darkness. Then on your tenth step you see the misty room again. Well, I thought that went without saying. Just kidding! The others following the Lunarian would also find themselves in the mist-filled room.
Digifanatic is following him...
Aribar (GM): If you'd look behind yourselves, you'd see a globe of darkness. Utter blackness.
Tetra is as well.
Digifanatic: "Now this is just an in-case contrast..."
Aribar (GM): You're still in the training room with a thick mist all about you, but you can see again.
Tetra: "I guess the blindness wore off..."
Aribar (GM): You remember everyone exiting to the far right side of the room.
Digifanatic: "Something..."
Tetra: "Now what? Do we follow them?"
Digifanatic: "Might as well..."
Charles Magellean nods, if any can see that.
Tetra heads to the door on the right.
Digifanatic starts heading towards that far right side (any rolls right now, and I do not have True Vision)...
Aribar (GM): You probably stumble and trip a bit getting over to the other side because the ground is a bit uneven and you can't see very well, but you do get over to the exit. The mist is also less dense now.
Digifanatic sees if he can open the door or if brute force is required.
Aribar (GM): No doors, just a corridor leading deeper into the cave.
Tetra: "They're probably leading us into a trap. You know that right?"
Digifanatic: "You have a point."
Charles Magellean: "It was a wild goose chase even before we started. Even so, a Goron's life is in the balance."
Digifanatic: "Right."
Tetra: "I see. We should be careful then."
Digifanatic starts carefully walking through the next hall.
Tetra: "Try and find out what their trap is and turn it on them if we can."
Aribar (GM): After rounding a bend without accident, you'd all find yourselves in a large chamber. Carved steps lead up to the main level of the twenty foot wide, fifty foot long chamber.
Tetra: "Well..."
Aribar (GM): On the left side of the room are two pools of lava against the walls with a small path leading up to the wall, which has a black five-pointed star painted on it.
Tetra goes to the entry of the large room and looks in without entering.
Charles Magellean: "I have to wonder how long it took to tunnel into this place, modify it by hand and tools, and lure you Questers here..."
Digifanatic starts to walk up the stairs into the room...
Aribar (GM): At the far end of the room is a slightly raised platform where stands Kazlo and Dellion.
Charles Magellean walks up the stairs as well.
Albuk: "This has been our hideout for a while... It took barely a week to find out how to contact your communication devices and lure you here."
Tetra: "Why bother?"
Aribar (GM): That voice seems near to you all, even though he's still invisible.
Tetra: "You got a grudge against the Questers or something?"
Albuk: "Because you do-gooders seem to be the only challenge left to us. When you've become the best team of assassins in Nintendus's underworld, there are few higher ranks to attain."
Digifanatic: "I believe that."
Charles Magellean: "It would indeed be a hard task to challenge your mind and body in that condition."
Tetra: "I see..."
Aribar (GM): You'd hear the sound of two blades coming out of their sheaths from the area where the assassin's voice is coming from.
Tetra: "Before we begin, I want your word that if we lose you'll let your hostage go unharmed. All you want is a challenge, right? No one has to get hurt."
Albuk: "We've never had a hostage... Which reminds me."
Editor's Note: These must be pretty honorable assassins, if they only now started taking hostages, despite being 'elite.' But it could be a sign of how desperate they are now that Questers, Kuja and co. killed off all their other potential 'powerful' targets.
Aribar (GM): He begins chanting another arcane spell and finishes it.
Albuk: "I wouldn't try to escape... Especially with a globe of darkness put behind you... Wouldn't want you to accidentally fall down a flight of steps and break your neck, now."
Tetra: "Why would we escape? You want a challenge. We'll oblige."
Charles Magellean: "A fine answer, Young Ward."
Aribar (GM): The blackguard and high-tech shadowdancer come down from the platform with weapons drawn. Blackguard with a greatsword pulsing with evil energies, shadowdancer with a dark photon blade and gun.
Charles Magellean: "And allow me to remind Blackguard and Shadowdancer that I am one that occasionally helps the Quester. I am not one since you seemed interested in fighting Questers."
Tetra: "Now now. I'm sure you'll be a challenge for them."
Aribar (GM): *BOSS BATTLE! Questers verses Albuk Coldblade, Dellion Blackguard, and Kazlo Shadowdancer* http://www.planetnintendo.com/secretofmana/mp3/som37_-_the_oracle.mp3
Charles Magellean: "My POINT is they want to fight Questers, not non-Questers."
Digifanatic: "Okay..."
Tetra: "Just sayin'..."
Aribar (GM): Kazlo starts things off by disappearing and reappearing behind Locos and stabbing him twice before firing his gun at Tetra. "You still associate yourselves with them, so you still fight us!" Correct. It does not 'fade' away. 25% Dark for that first attack, Locos.
Charles Magellean: "Then so be it. Attack me, and you will be attacked back."
Tetra is hit by that shot.
Aribar (GM): 33% Electric damage, and... Dazed, and Paralyzed.
Tetra: "Whoah... nice shot there guy... all six of you!"
Aribar (GM): You, Locos/Charles, were stabbed at twice. First two rolls. Then Tetra was fired at with a gun. Digi: You'd sense someone behind you, but not before...
Digifanatic: "Uh oh..."
Aribar (GM): ... Not before Albuk appears and a scimitar is stuck in your body. 71% Ice damage. He then tries to stab you twice with his dagger.
Digifanatic: *MEGA RUSH AND LAST STAND ACTIVATED.*
Aribar (GM): One is a critical hit. 14% from the crit, 7% from the other hit. Now for a description of Albuk...
Charles Magellean eyes Shadowdancer.
Digifanatic is still somewhat reeling...
Aribar (GM): With dark leather armor and shoes on, the assassin looks intimidating. In his right hand a scimitar with a freezing cold aura is held, and in his right a dagger that appears to have a glass portion with some green colored liquid in it. Across his chest lays two bandoliers in a X-shaped fashion that has many daggers stuck in it.
Editor's Note: Wish I didn't have a superpowered character at this time, would have been neat to actually fight without breaking the balance of this...
Digifanatic seems to shrink back a few inches to his "normal" appearance...
Aribar (GM): In the middle of the bandolier is some sort of amulet with an arcane rune upon it. On both arms rest golden bracers, and he has on a black cape with red trim.
Charles Magellean spins and spins. After he stops spinning, he bestows upon himself a yellow Cape. He then spins and moves towards Shadowdancer.
Aribar (GM): That's a hit.
Charles Magellean: *30 HP.* (auto-stun if no immune)
Aribar (GM): Stunned is he.
Digifanatic: "Well done."
Charles Magellean uses a psychic aura and sends Confusion at Shadowdancer. *45%* (auto-confusion if no immune)
Aribar (GM): Another hit! Anything else? He is confused, by the way.
Charles Magellean finally dons upon himself doctor's clothing. He opens his left sleeve and 4 Megavitamins are heading towards Kazlo's way.
Aribar (GM): You hate this guy, don't you. Sadly, only one hits.
Charles Magellean: *45% damage.*
Aribar (GM): Hit, and out of confusion. Dellion rushes over and tries to grab Tetra's arm.
Tetra: "Hey, don't touch me, you three!"
Aribar (GM): Your AC with JUST your speed bonus, Tetra? Never mind. 52% damage as negative energy jolts through your body.
Tetra: "Yaaaaiiiiiieeeeeee!!!"
Aribar (GM): He then swings his sword down upon you with a massive overhead chop that clips the ceiling, but does little to deter the blade. 44% Dark damage. He then spins about and launches a piercing stab Locos's way.
Tetra: "...ow..."
Aribar (GM): If that hits, Locos, 44% Dark damage. Remember to roll a d2 to see if you get to go or not. Eh?
Charles Magellean tries to parry one blow with his sword but is too slow and is only able to cancel out the second hit.
Tetra: "Ha! You think I can't hit you?!" *He fires three shots at where he assumes Dellion is.* "Ha! I blew a hole right through you, didn't I?"
Aribar (GM): Hrm... Then Tetra dies, assuming he would have with just a 20. Then you live. Okay.
Charles Magellean eyes Dellion.
Dellion: "Eye me all you want! Maybe my friends will backstab you while you stare at me."
Aribar (GM): No, all his attacks missed.
Digifanatic still has some of the Fury + X Acc working... he tries a Quake Smash Fire Punch on all three of em...
Tetra: "Ha! I hit all three of you, assassin guy!"
Aribar (GM): What order does that go in? Same as the turn order (Kazlo, Albuk, Dellion)? Miss, miss, and hit.
Dellion: "GAH!" *... The one seems to have hurt him a lot.*
Digifanatic then tries a SM Punch on Kazlo.
Aribar (GM): Ouch...
Kazlo: "Gaah... Coldblade, get up another Globe of Darkness!"
Albuk: "Giving up so soon?"
Tetra: "Don't run away! We're just having fun!"
Editor's Note: Maybe these guys should have some more HP, since the other aspects of them seem to do well enough as far as giving a challenge.
Digifanatic then tries to smack him around with the Golf Club.
Aribar (GM): FORE! ... Or not. Miss.
Charles Magellean: "Hmm..."
Aribar (GM): Kazlo breaks out of his stun.
Digifanatic: "Don't rely on it for a long time. I'm reeling..."
Aribar (GM): Albuk breaks the vial of liquid on his dagger with his scimitar and throws it at Charles. Hit? 8% damage, and... You begin to feel a bit woozy as venom courses through your veins.
Charles Magellean feels dizzy; his eyes spinning.
Aribar (GM): Albuk then chants something and his hand gives off a green glow. He tries to grab Digi. Does that hit with just your speed added to your AC?
Tetra: "Be careful it's his wicked Hand of Greenness attack!"
Albuk: "No, you fool... It's a Poison spell."
Tetra laughs immaturely at his own joke.
Charles Magellean: "You people INSIST I become involved, and you well know the price."
Aribar (GM): *Lucky 1* (Hey, badguys can take this too!) You lose 10 Strength. Not permanately. Metal would finally stumble into the battle after defeating globes of darkness which lasted hundreds of rounds and mist, but that uses up his turn this round.
Digifanatic: "Hey Metal."
Editor's Note: Oh hai Mark... or I should say, hi cliffhanger!
