Super Smash Quest - Story - Chapter 208: The Glass Dungeon Part II: Whallerian X-Zone Wackiness
Date: 1:10:13 PM, June 7th; 8:15:13 PM, June 7th, 2005.
Metal Man (GM): You're all inside the great Fortress of Glass, having completed the first section. The first of three great seals is lit up. The door to the second dungeon, where apparently the Whallerian challenges await, is leaning open. The room has a checkerboard marble floor, with walls and a ceiling of white glass. A single beam of light illuminates the room from the center point of the domed ceiling.
Garrick Fy`aar appears out of thin air, a warp most likely.
Julian Sawyer: *A generic blue warp portal opens in mid-air and Julian comes tumbling out of it.*
Metal Man (GM): Lives: 3
Garrick Fy`aar: "Jeez, you've got to be kidding me. So, where do we stand?"
Metal Man: "We're about to enter the second dungeon of three."
Julian Sawyer: "This always seems to happen..."
Digifanatic: "Yeah... Whallerian."
Julian Sawyer: "Okay then."
Tetra: "According to Metal these seals should unlock mighty power... and the way to Kuja."
Julian Sawyer: "Great. Let's get going."
Digifanatic: "Might as well..."
Metal Man goes to walk ahead....
Tetra nods and heads into the Whaller dungeon.
Julian Sawyer: *Gets up and moves on.*
Metal Man (GM): Everybody walks ahead, when... suddenly...
Digifanatic follows...

Dr. Robotnik: "Not so fast, fools!"
Tetra: "What the?"
Metal Man (GM): ...Dr. Robotnik's mecha comes crashing through the door.
Garrick Fy`aar: "Of course..."
Metal Man (GM): ...Jessie and James and Meowth are riding atop it, too.
Jessie: "Prepare for trouble!"
Garrick Fy`aar: "And you three as well?"
James: "Make that QUADRUPLE!"
Aribar: "Gah... Why must we be interrupted at every turn?"
Dr. Robotnik: "To utterly destroy everything Quester-related!"
Tetra: "Look! The circus is here!"
Jessie: "To take the secret powers of this temple!"
Digifanatic: .oO(Yeah, yeah, yeah, we've heard it before...)
Julian Sawyer: "Jebus..."
Digifanatic: .oO(We get the point.)
James: "Team Rocket and the Dr. Robotnik Empire blast off faster than the speed of light!"
Jessie: "Jessie!"
Dr. Robotnik: "Dr. Ivo Robotnik, the most supreme ruler of the Dr. Robotnik Empire!"
Garrick Fy`aar: "Oh, SHUT UP ALREADY!"
Aribar: "Alas, if only I knew a silencing spell."
Tetra checks his watch and yawns.
James: "James!"
Dr. Robotnik: "Prepare to be obliterated!"
Tetra: "I know a silencing spell. It's called Triple Missile."
Aribar: "...Sounds good to me."
Meowth: "Meowth, that's most likely right!"
Dr. Robotnik: "Stop right there! We'll obliterate you!"
Julian Sawyer: "Time for payback!"
Tetra: "Go bug someone else. We're busy."
James: "You can't stop the combined wrath of the Dr. Robotnik Empire and Team Rocket!"
Aribar takes out the Wand of Wonder.
Jessie: "We've got new weapons, too!"
Garrick Fy`aar draws his guns as his clothes switch to the HEXS armor, cracking his neck and stretching his fingers.
Julian Sawyer: "You die first!"
Metal Man (GM): James takes out hoola hoops, while Meowth takes out a deck of cards.
Tetra: "New stuff for us to take after whooping your butts?"
Metal Man (GM): Jessie takes out a blender.
Garrick Fy`aar: "...*Cough*..."
Aribar: "...You guys talk too much... And have a very weird arsenal."
Digifanatic: "Oh boy... weird weapons galore."
Metal Man (GM): Dr. Robotnik's mecha opens up, revealing eighteen million racks of missiles.
Tetra: "Yeah. It's almost like Metal designs their armory."
Dr. Robotnik: "Team! Full Speed Ahead!"
Garrick Fy`aar: "Yeah, that'll do it right there..."
Jessie: "Attaaaaaack!"

Meowth: "Just wait until you get a load of our NEW arsenal!"
Dr. Robotnik: "You'll be absolutely shell-shocked!"
Tetra: "..."
Aribar: "Can't we just bribe you away?"
James: "No, because we had money, until we spent it all on these fancy gadgets."
Tetra: "We could give you more money for more fancy gadgets."
Jessie: "JAMES! Stop telling them about our finances!"
Aribar: "...Therefore you don't have any more money to spend on even odder weaponry."
Tetra: "And you can use those gadgets against Kuja."
Aribar: "How about... Fifty grand?"
Meowth: "I'll just steal the money from you guys! You seem rich enough..."
Tetra: "In fact, Kuja said Jessie looks fat."
Dr. Robotnik: "Enough! Prepare to be obliterated!"
Aribar: .oO(The one group of enemies that aren't greedy...)
Metal Man (GM): All four of them decide to aim at Tetra. All sorts of different laser targeting things appear on him.
Jessie: "You liar! Kuja's dead! You're calling ME fat? I'm going to clobber you, you brat!"
Tetra: "Oh, did I say Kuja? I meant Grodus."
James: "Activate ultimate hula hoop attack!"
Tetra: "Or... um... what bad guys are still alive, Metal?"
Garrick Fy`aar: "Tetra, I'd just run if I were you..."
Metal Man: "..." *Facepalm* "Just beat them up!"
Dr. Robotnik: "How dare you act like we can be beaten? We are unstoppably unstoppable!"
Jessie: "Just for that, I'm turning the blender to LIQUEFY!"
Julian Sawyer: "Whatever." *Julian launches himself towards Jessie, using the aid of his Rocket Boots (I took the Flight quirk) to get up where she is, and lays into her with a barrage of kicks, Beatboxing 3 times* "This is for last time!"
Metal Man (GM): 5 hits, 1 crit.
Jessie: "Ahhhhh!!!!"
Metal Man (GM): Jessie is looking all beaten up now. Anything else?
Julian Sawyer: "That's what you get for the Bowling Ball Polisher!" *Jets back to the group.*
Digifanatic: "Nice shoes!"
Jessie: "All right! EAT BLENDER!"
Digifanatic: "No, seriously."
Metal Man (GM): She turns on the blender... and a GIGANTIC wave of fire flies at the entire group. SPD checks for everybody.
Metal Man: "Ahhhh! I'm on fire!"
Aribar tries rolling to the side.
Metal Man (GM): Okay, that leaves Aribar as the only person affected, if he doesn't lucky it.
Aribar is burninated.
Metal Man (GM): 75 damage to Aribar.
Tetra jumps away from the fire. "Oh look, you missed me!"
Aribar: "Gah! Evil flames!"
Jessie: "...Why did I hit all of the QUIET PEOPLE?"
Julian Sawyer: "You can't hit nothin'! Except for Aribar!"
Metal Man: "Hello? On fire?" *He points at Julian while on fire.*
Aribar decides to attack Jessie and get some payback. As the elf chants an arcane spell, a small tornado of dust appears around Jessie, the debris damaging her and the elf yells, "Dust-Storm!" Wind Elemental Blast (105% Wind), Earth Elemental Blast (105% Earth), and Blindness.
Metal Man (GM): Jessie is KO'd by it all. *OVERKILL.*
Aribar: "Never mess with a Jentanian wizard!"
Jessie: "Argh!!!!" *Falls onto the ground, with @_@ look.*
Meowth: "Oh yeah?"
Metal Man (GM): Meowth hurls cards at Aribar. *MEOWTH LUCKY.*
Aribar deflects the cards wit----Is nailed by the cards.
Metal Man (GM): Does that hit? 173 damage as Aribar is once again reversed for saying 'Never Mess with a Jentanian Wizard!'
Aribar is cardinated, and dead.
Meowth: "That'll teach him to mess with us!"
Metal Man (GM): Meowth then pulls out a random card ..He pulls out an ace, and hurls it at Julian, dealing an instant 110 damage. Then he attacks Garrick with a Payday.
Julian Sawyer: *Barley survives!* "Argh!"
Garrick Fy`aar easily dodges.
Metal Man (GM): And probably barely misses.
Julian Sawyer: "At least I got revenge on Jessie..."
Tetra: "Wow. Who knew the cat would be the butt kicker of the group?"
Meowth: "Never mess with a Meowth!"
Garrick Fy`aar: "I think I'll take my chances."
Digifanatic: "At least he has natural abilities..."
Garrick Fy`aar doesn't like those cards. He swings up his Einhammer and unloads three shots of instahit goodness.
Meowth: "You'll end up like him!" *Points at Aribar's card-laced corpse.*
Metal Man (GM): *GLOW* Garrick's attack fails.
Garrick Fy`aar: "What the..."
Meowth: "Hahahahahahahaha! You just have been blocked by my Acme anti-spell charm!"
Tetra: "Okay, that's not good."
Meowth: "Who's tough now, Magey-boy?"
Garrick Fy`aar: "Heh... I've got more than spells, slick."
Meowth: "You're about as smart as a glob of pudding!"
Tetra presses some buttons on his gauntlet and an electromagnetic wave spreads out, washing over the group of enemies.
Metal Man (GM): No effect on Team Rocket. However, it does temporarily knock Dr. Robotnik's Mecha outta the sky.
Dr. Robotnik: "What? What? Worthless machine!"
Tetra: "And now that you're grounded..."
Dr. Robotnik: *Bashes controls.*
Tetra presses some more buttons. A trio of missiles slams into Dr. Robotnik's mech for 75% fire damage, then immediately afterward a huge Titanium Plate shoots out of the ground in front of Tetra.
Dr. Robotnik: "Ack! Systems... damaged..."
Digifanatic: "Hmm... well, then." *He tries to use a Fire Punch on Meowth.*
Metal Man (GM): It manages to hit, barely.
Meowth: "...What? It doesn't work against fire? Those frauds!"
James: "SHHHHH! We don't want those punks to know!"
Digifanatic: "Cause it's not a spell! Duh!"
Tetra: "Actually, that attack wasn't magic, Mr. Kitty Cat."
Digifanatic the focuses on James with a Super Mario Punch.
Metal Man (GM): Hit.
Dr. Robotnik: "Worthless machine! I'm going to have to take things into my own hands!"
Digifanatic nabs 13 coins (13% damage) from him. He then goes to Dr. Robotnik/Robotnik/whatever with a whack of the Golf Club.
Metal Man (GM): Hit. It deals no damage. In fact, the magically produced golf club is broken in two when it hits the horribly heavy armor on the machine.
Dr. Robotnik: "At least that armor is good for something!"
Digifanatic: "DAH!" *grunt* .oO(OD Gauge still works, at least)
Metal Man gets out his machineguns and attacks James, full force.
Metal Man (GM): All hit. 150 damage.
James: "Gaahhhhh!!!"
Metal Man (GM): James falls down as well.
Tetra: "What a wimp..."
Dr. Robotnik: "Only a genius like me could have thought up a backup plan for this situation! Behold... my deadliest invention! THE RAY OF LIFE!"
Julian Sawyer: "..."
Tetra: "Gee, what could that do?"
Metal Man (GM): Dr. Robotnik takes out some weird-looking ray gun. Then he shoots his own mecha, James, Jessie, and Meowth.
Julian Sawyer: "Zombies!"
Metal Man (GM): Every one of them are healed back to full health.
Dr. Robotnik: "Hahahahahahahahahahahaha!"
Digifanatic: "Someone steal that!"
Metal Man (GM): He's safe inside his mecha, too.
Dr. Robotnik: "Now, you shall PAY for attempting to stop such a super-genius like me! Eat missiles, dork!"
Metal Man (GM): Dr. Robotnik presses a lot of buttons, and many missiles fly at Tetra.
Tetra: "Dork? Hey, I rese--AHHH!"
Metal Man (GM): 15 damage per hit. Each missile explodes in a fiery explosion, like most missiles do.
Tetra dodges the crit fail... all the others hit.
James: "I'm going to make you pay for beating me up!"
Tetra survives, obviously.
Dr. Robotnik: "Even if we lose, I can just revive everybody to full health... again... and again... and again! The sheer annoyance will crush the Questers!"
Tetra: "Oh shut up, you idiot."

Dr. Robotnik: "You are the idiot! You don't have a ray of life!"
Julian Sawyer: "...Idea!" *Julian activates his Rocket Boots and flies towards the Egg Mech's front, and tries to punch in the windshield to open up Dr. Robotnik to attacks.*
Tetra watches the Titanium Plate get obliterated by missiles, only taking minor damage himself. "No problem. I'll just take yours after I whoop your butt."
Metal Man (GM): You hit.
Julian Sawyer: *EXPLOSION, MAYBE SHATTER.*
Dr. Robotnik: "I'll just revive myself if that happens. Hahahahaha!"
Tetra: "You can't revive yourself if you're unconscious, you idiot."
Metal Man (GM): Julian takes 3 damage. His fist is softer than the glass.
Dr. Robotnik: "Hey! Stop punching my Diamond window!"
Julian Sawyer: "OW!"
Tetra: "Why would you have a diamond window? That seems... superfluous."
Julian Sawyer: "...Diamond?!" *Scans the Mecha.*
Smash Dex: "...DING!"
*Dex plays Dr. Robotnik theme.*
Tetra: "Not to mention diamond is incredibly fragile."
Smash Dex: "The Dr. Robotnik Magma-Pod, Model Number X-001!"
Garrick Fy`aar: "With all the other crap on that thing, I'm not surprised it'd have a diamond window..."
Smash Dex: "The most luxurious magma-pod on the planet! Nearly invulnerable, and takes almost no damage from attacks. Weak against gigantic blocks of diamond and, once it takes damage, it falls apart quickly. However, nobody but Sonic has managed to find a true weakness yet, without resorting to magic."

Revival Ray: Auto-revives all people who go below 1 HP besides Dr. Robotnik.
Smash Dex: "The window would be fragile, but a patent-pending method of combining diamonds and other substances creates a super-mesh. It is the strongest part of the machine."
Julian Sawyer: "...That's just plain cheap." *Looks over the windshield, looking for cracks or something like them that he can dig in and try to rip the windshield out.*
Metal Man (GM): The windshield appears to be magma-proof, extremely sturdy, and stuck on with a vengeance.
Julian Sawyer: "...Hmmm." *Jessie's on top of the Egg Mech, right?*
Metal Man (GM): Jessie is currently on the ground.
Dr. Robotnik: "Begin crying in defeat, fools! You cannot defeat the X-001! It is the ultimate fighting machine!"
Tetra: "Shaddup, you blowhard."
Julian Sawyer: *Decides to use his Thief skill to take that Blender off Jessie's hands.*
Metal Man (GM): ...You're now both in a tug-of-war fashion with the blender. And you're on the wrong side of the blender.
Jessie: "Give me my blender back! You twit!"
Metal Man (GM): You manage to grab it, but it took two actions.
Julian Sawyer: "Yoink!" *Is going to have to take only two actions next turn.*
Jessie: "I'll teach you to steal from a lady!"
Tetra: "Lady? I see no ladies here."
Julian Sawyer: *Retreats back to group with Blender in tow.*
Garrick Fy`aar: "...Tetra, you really gotta learn how to shut up before you get killed..."
Tetra: "Unless you meant James."
Jessie: "Really? You seem much like a lady to me."
Julian Sawyer: "Burn!"
Garrick Fy`aar: "Ooo! Burn!"
Tetra: "You're right. I'm much more womanly than you, Jesse."
Digifanatic: "OH!"
Jessie: "If you want to play with fire, I'll give you... EGG BEATERS!"
Metal Man (GM): Jessie takes out not one, but two egg beaters.
Julian Sawyer: "...What is with you and kitchen appliances?"
Metal Man (GM): They spin a lot and are electrified. And spiked.
Tetra blinks. "You people need a hobby."
James: "This is our hobby!"
Julian Sawyer: "We're their hobby, I think."
Metal Man (GM): Jessie presses a button, and the spinning Egg beaters... throw fire just like the blender. SPD checks again!
Metal Man backflips into the air.
Julian Sawyer: "That doesn't make any sense! Why would they throw fire if they're electrified?"
Tetra: "Don't ask."
Digifanatic: "Electrical fire."
Dr. Robotnik: "Everything in the kitchen starts fires, of course! Only a genius would understand. You better watch out for the ice cream scoop..."
Tetra: "Ice Cream Scoops don't start fires!"
Dr. Robotnik: "...Except when I use them."
Garrick Fy`aar: "That makes sense, fittingly..."
Julian Sawyer: "How?"
Aribar slowly gets up and shakes his head, still hurting from his temporary nap. As the elf gets up he leaves the Wand of Wonder on the floor and various cards fall out of his chainshirt. Demonstrating his melee powers, Aribar dashes towards Meowth and unleashes a great cut on the cat with the same motion of drawing Moonlight... The elf doesn't know that Dr. Robotnik can revive the others since he died "Take this, card shark!"
Julian Sawyer: "Don't tell me you're crazy too..."
Dr. Robotnik: "I rig them up with gasoline turbo boosters to make them more powerful."
Julian Sawyer: "..."
Tetra: "Gasoline turbo boosters?"
Metal Man (GM): You deal no damage.
Julian Sawyer: "I'm just going to stop asking questions."
Meowth: "Ha-ha! You can't hurt me!"
Aribar: "What?! You're not even wearing armor!"
Tetra: "I think we're supposed to use fire against the cat."
Dr. Robotnik: "Well, us geniuses want our ice cream NOW, rather than 10 minutes later. So we rig up our ice cream scoops with 100 horsepower engines."
Julian Sawyer: "Ari, you want Dex info?"
Tetra: "You're no genius. I'm at least a hundred times smarter than you."
Aribar shakes his head.
Dr. Robotnik: "Then you have an IQ of 30,000?"
Digifanatic: "Stop being so self-centered, Tetra."
Tetra: "I am... Jacob Tetra, Boy Genius!"
Meowth: "I am Meowth, about to destroy Jacob Tetra, Boy Genius! Have some cards!"
Metal Man (GM): Meowth hurls cards at Tetra. Meowth then pulls out some more cards.
Tetra watches the cards fly past harmlessly.
Metal Man (GM): Meowth hurls the number 7 card at Tetra.
Tetra dodges that card as well. "You suck, kitty cat!"
Metal Man (GM): Meowth then runs up and tries to steal Tetra's money. Meowth steals half of your money.
Tetra is pounced by the cat. "Hey, get off me!"
Metal Man (GM): Dealing no damage.
Meowth: "Egghead! Here's the money we need to build the stink-ray!"
Dr. Robotnik: "...That's not enough. Steal all of their money!"
Tetra: "Give that back, you felonious feline!"
Meowth: "Nevah!"
Metal Man (GM): It's a large dome area, with solid white glass walls, three doors (one of the three doors is gone, the one behind you) It's got a single pinpoint of light coming in from the ceiling, lighting up a statue of three seals in the middle of the room. A checkerboard floor of black and white marble.
Garrick Fy`aar scans the statue.
Smash Dex: "...DING! The three seals of ???. These three seals, of Marician, Whallerian, and Solarian descent, protect an ancient power, hidden in the very top of this fortress. The Marician Seal has been unlocked; two more seals must be unsealed before the ultimate power can be released. It is just a statue, but it might be holding a secret or two."
Dr. Robotnik: "That reminds me of the Master Emerald... ...!!!" *Starts pressing more buttons.*
Smash Dex: "End of information."
Garrick Fy`aar draws the M150 and fires a series of shots at the base of the statue.
Metal Man: "Are you mad?"
Metal Man (GM): The statue takes several bullet holes. *glow* A while pillar of light suddenly appears over Garrick. *FLASH.*
Garrick Fy`aar: "...I have an idea, and it ends up killing me, most likely."
Metal Man (GM): Garrick is immolated by a pillar of light. -1 life The statue heals the bullet holes, and the light subsides.
Dr. Robotnik: "...Lucky me, he tested it for me!"
Garrick Fy`aar: "Okay, that didn't work..."
Tetra: "Whoah!"
Dr. Robotnik: "I was gonna steal it and get obliterated, but he stopped me!"
Aribar: "Don't your mothers tell you not to mess with artifacts from ages past?"
Tetra: "Dr. Robotnik, it's time to shut you up."
Garrick Fy`aar: "I thought it was hard enough to break that windshield of his!"
Dr. Robotnik: "My mother told me to steal them all and collect them in a gigantic space-fortress."
Garrick Fy`aar: "That glass pain is solid diamond. If we break it, it's doomed."
Tetra presses some buttons. The missiles fire at Dr. Robotnik. The empty rack descends back into Tetra's gauntlet and comes back up to fire three more missiles. 150% armor piercing. He then finishes his turn by chugging a royal syrup.
Metal Man (GM): The attack hits, destroying the pod. Dr. Robotnik is still alive.
Dr. Robotnik: "Hmph. Shows how much you know!"
Digifanatic: "Bam. Nice."
Metal Man (GM): Dr. Robotnik is outside of the pod, and vulnerable.
Tetra: "Now take out the Dr. Robotnik!"
Metal Man (GM): But can you hit him?
Digifanatic tries to do just that, with a SM punch.
Metal Man (GM): *WARP* Dr. Robotnik splits into three. You hit a hologram. The holograms then disappear.
Dr. Robotnik: "You'll have to try harder to hit the world's most intelligent genius!"
Julian Sawyer: "..."
Digifanatic: "Yeah, we get the point. I'll come back to you later."
Julian Sawyer: "At least he can't use the ray of Light anymore."
Metal Man (GM): You'd notice Dr. Robotnik holding a white ray-gun.
Digifanatic then tries to hit James with a punch of fiery goodness.
Julian Sawyer: "...Oh hell no."
Metal Man (GM): Hit. James is minorly damaged.
James: "Ahhh! My hair!"
Digifanatic then sticks to him and uses a whack of the Golf C--oh wait, he can't! Instead, he goes back to the SM punch.
Metal Man (GM): True, but crit misses always miss anyway. You hit him. You only deal 8 damage.
Metal Man: "You're finished, Meowth! Eat this!" *He gives Meowth a taste of machinegun fire.*
Metal Man (GM): Meowth is hit a ton of times, but all the bullets bounce off.
Meowth: "Nothing can damage me! Hahahahaha!"
Metal Man: "...That's just great..."
Metal Man (GM): James hurls a diamond-studded hula hoop at Garrick.
Tetra: "You were supposed to kill Dr. Robotnik, you dolt!"
Digifanatic: "Metal, do you have any close range attacks?"
Tetra cuffs Metal in the back of the head.
Metal Man: "Don't hurt your hand, there?" *He points out the fact that the back of his head is made of metal.*
Tetra didn't hit him hard.
Metal Man (GM): Garrick is instantly stunned.
Dr. Robotnik: "Well, you. Well, you've all showed yourselves to be very intelligent."
Garrick Fy`aar is instantly infused with Able Juice, curing him.
Dr. Robotnik: "But I can do you one better! Activate... SELF DESTRUCT!"
Metal Man (GM): ...Dr. Robotnik's ruined ship explodes.
Meowth: "Ahhhhhh!!!!"
James: "Ahhhh!!!"
Jessie: "Noooooo!!!"
Tetra: "..."
Metal Man (GM): Team Rocket is sent blasting off. When the smoke clears, Dr. Robotnik is gone.
Tetra: "Was there a point to that?"
Garrick Fy`aar: "...is it just me, or is this becoming a trend?"
Metal Man (GM): +600 EXP for that battle.
Charles Magellean: *THUNK.*
Tetra looks to see if they dropped anything.
Metal Man: "No. No point. Did you think Team Rocket has a point?"
Aribar sheaths Moonlight and heads to pick up his dropped weapon.
Charles Magellean: "...A trend of the roof going to pieces and me attached to it to fall and drop on my head? Yes."
Julian Sawyer: "..."
Aribar mumbles various curses to Team Rocket under his breath.
Julian Sawyer: "Well, at least I picked up a blender."
Tetra looks to see if they dropped anything.
Metal Man (GM): *KABOOM* Julian takes 50 damage. The blender... it exploded.
Julian Sawyer: "Ah!"
Tetra: "Okay..."
Charles Magellean gets up, holds his head.
Garrick Fy`aar: "...heh."
Digifanatic: "Whatever..."
Metal Man: "...I don't think exploding blenders count."

Metal Man: "Well, you missed out, Dr. Robotnik would have clogged you up with fat for years."
Tetra: "Well, I guess we should get going. The second dungeon is waiting."
Metal Man points at the door under the Whallerian seal."
Garrick Fy`aar heads in that direction, but stops at the statue for a moment...
Charles Magellean: "Mmm. Sir Hunter's realm."
Garrick Fy`aar pats the base.
Charles Magellean: "This may be interesting."
Digifanatic continues with the others.
Garrick Fy`aar: "...erm... sorry 'bout that shooting thing."
Metal Man (GM): The statue is very elaborate, with a marble base.
Aribar sighs and heads over to the Whallerian door, wondering what they'll find.
Metal Man (GM): Demon: You'd also appear. The Whallerian door, inside, has quite an elaborate inside.
Julian Sawyer: "Onward!" *Into the Whallerian domain!*
King Demon appears inside the Whallerian door.
Charles Magellean follows ari in.
Metal Man (GM): Pillars to the left and right, with Roman-style gothic architecture.
King Demon: "Uh, hi?"
Tetra heads into the Whaller dungeon as well.
Metal Man (GM): Holy seals are everywhere.
Metal Man walks in as well.
Digifanatic: "Hello, Demon."
Julian Sawyer: "..."
Metal Man (GM): The floor here is of sandstone. The ceiling of marble. The walls of stone.
Garrick Fy`aar keeps moving, along with the others.
Julian Sawyer: "Fancy..."
Tetra: "Looks like sandstone. That's certainly a switch..."
King Demon looks around the room he's appeared in.
Metal Man (GM): The door ahead is unlocked. You just have to push it open.
King Demon: "Nice place."
Julian Sawyer: *Shoves door open.*
King Demon walks toward the door.
Garrick Fy`aar: "So, this is how your people made dungeons, Ari?"
Metal Man (GM): Julian: *CLICK* Julian is suddenly smashed by a dropped weight for 20 damage. The door doesn't open.
Charles Magellean rubs his face and groans.
Tetra: "Well at least it didn't kill him."
Aribar: "...Not sure. I've never really saw anything like this before."
Metal Man: "I think these are ancient Whallerian things."
Tetra shudders at the thought of being smashed back in the first dungeon.
Julian Sawyer: "..."
King Demon: "Nice job Julian... Wanna try again?"
Metal Man (GM): An inscription appears above the door.
Julian Sawyer: "Shut up. You would have done it too."
Metal Man (GM): 'Those who do not look beyond reality will be crushed.'
King Demon reads the inscription "..."
Tetra: "Well, that's kinda cryptic."
Julian Sawyer: "...Reality? Anyone have a Lens Of Truth?"
King Demon: "Nope, just a Zora breather."
Metal Man: "I have a gun! ...That doesn't count, does it?"
Garrick Fy`aar: "No, no, it's different than that..."
Charles Magellean: "Rely on your inner senses and figure it out."
Tetra: "Maybe the door isn't the way past."
Garrick Fy`aar looks at the door... then just tries walking through it.
Tetra walks around the room, feeling the walls.
Metal Man (GM): Garrick winds up pushing the bar and gets a weight to the head. *KER-SMASH* 20 damage.
Garrick Fy`aar: "Dah, alright..."
King Demon walks the opposite direction from Tetra, feeling the walls as well.
Metal Man (GM): Which walls do you feel first, Tetra? And Demon? So, walls that are blocking the way dead ahead? *CLICK* *CLICK.*
Tetra: "Eep!"
Metal Man (GM): The room is simultaneously hit by fire and lightning.
King Demon: "Ouch..."
Metal Man (GM): 20 fire and 20 lightning damage to everybody.
Tetra hears the click and tries to jump back, expecting a weight. "Gyaaaah!"
Digifanatic: "Ouch!"
Garrick Fy`aar: "...jeez..."
Aribar is burninated, then healed.
King Demon is lucky! healage!!!!
Metal Man: "Well, that rules out those two walls."
Tetra: "Okay then..."
King Demon feels the wall to the left of the door, adjacent to it.
Charles Magellean: "I would appreciate it if you people thought about the inscription more."
Garrick Fy`aar: "...beyond reality..."
Tetra coughs out ash then feels the wall directly to the right of the door.
Garrick Fy`aar: "Reality... not real..."
Aribar: "Hrm..."
Metal Man (GM): Demon pushes the wall, which spins around, and he slides into the other room. As does Tetra.
Tetra: "Whoah!"
Garrick Fy`aar: "...well, there you go."
King Demon: "Woah! Hi Tetra!"
Tetra is flung into the next room. "Hi... well, that'll do it."
Metal Man follows into the next room.
Garrick Fy`aar: "Sooner or later, I knew we'd find it."
Digifanatic decides to do the same as well... after the first two are clear of the revvolution of the door.
Garrick Fy`aar follows as well.
Metal Man (GM): The next room is simple.
Aribar follows.
Julian Sawyer: "There we go..." *Enters.*
Metal Man (GM): A sandy place, with a horizontal line across the middle.
Charles Magellean follows demon's example.
Metal Man (GM): There's a big heap of treasure there, and then another unlocked door out. An inscription says...
King Demon: "Treasure!? this is way too easy..."
Julian Sawyer: "..."
Metal Man (GM): 'Those who are greedy get their just rewards.'
Tetra: "Well, that sounds pretty straight forward..."
Garrick Fy`aar just walks around the treasure and heads to the next door.
King Demon: "Yep, way too easy..."
Metal Man (GM): Garrick falls into a sand pit.
Aribar: "Hrm..."
Tetra: "Walk, the straight and narrow."
Metal Man (GM): And takes 50 Earth damage before being thrown back to the beginning of the room.
King Demon walks down the line in the middle.
Julian Sawyer: "Apparently not..."
Tetra tries to walk along the line.
Metal Man (GM): Demon and Tetra walk across it, only to be picked up and hurled across the room for 50 Earth damage.
Aribar takes out roughly ten coins and adds them to the pile before heading to the door.
Tetra: "Waahh!"
Garrick Fy`aar: "Alright, not that simple..."
Metal Man (GM): Aribar is picked up and thrown across the room for 50 Earth damage.
Julian Sawyer: "I just said that."
Aribar: "Gah! So much for that idea..."
Metal Man (GM): His 10 coins are also thrown back at him.
Aribar takes the coins and casts Minor Healing on himself five times.
Garrick Fy`aar: "...hmmmm..." *He thinks for a moment...*
Tetra is seriously injured now. He eats a Max Mushroom.
Julian Sawyer: "...Has someone tried taking something from the treasure? Maybe the just reward is exiting the room."
Tetra: "It's worth a shot... you do it."
Charles Magellean: "I had thought of that as well."
Tetra: "Or maybe, the greed has nothing to do with treasure. It's about being greedy to leave."
Julian Sawyer: "No way. I'm a mine detector way too much for you people."
Aribar listens to those suggestions and takes a coin from the pile.
Charles Magellean: "Young Ward also raises a point."
Metal Man (GM): Okay, FYI, the pile has the following in it: 1000 coins (Minus the one Aribar took) A Money Money badge three Green potions Five Fury Materias And a Bazooze-ka.
King Demon grabs the gun-thing.
Metal Man (GM): Aribar takes the coin. But does he walk to the exit?
Aribar looks about to see if anything happens to him before heading to the door.
Metal Man (GM): Nothing happens before heading to the door. Demon walks to the door without a problem.
Julian Sawyer: *Tries picking up the Money Money badge.*
Tetra: "Well alright then."
Metal Man (GM): You manage to pick it up.
Aribar goes through the exit.
King Demon: "Yay!!!"
Digifanatic tries picking up 2 of the Materias.
Metal Man (GM): Aribar is thrown back for 40 more Earth damage. Digi goes to the exit without a problem.
Aribar casts Minor Healing on himself four times before taking four more coins and then going through the portal.
Metal Man (GM): Aribar takes 40 more damage.
King Demon wonders what a bazooze-ka is....
Aribar: "...Damn this room!"
Editor's Note: Ironic that the Whallerian is defeated by the Whallerian room.
Tetra picks up the three Green Potions and heads to the exit.
Metal Man: "This reminds me of ping-pong."
Metal Man (GM): Tetra exits the room without a problem.
Garrick Fy`aar walks up, hmms softly, then takes the single remaining Materia and about 300 coins and heads for the exit.
Aribar takes all the money, four more Minor Healings, and goes through the room.
King Demon laughs a little at Ari's problems.
Metal Man (GM): Garrick gets out fine, as does Ari.
Julian Sawyer: *Tries to door.*
Metal Man (GM): The door opens.
Aribar then throws the coins back into the room once through.
Metal Man (GM): The coins... they do not leave your hand!
Garrick Fy`aar: "Dex, activate item liquefaction system..."
Julian Sawyer: *Exits.*
Metal Man (GM): They are enchanted to stay with you!
Metal Man leaves without any trouble, now that most of the treasure is gone.
Julian Sawyer: "That was confusing."
Aribar: "...I've come to hate my ancestors."
Garrick Fy`aar: *A small thingy opens up in the side of Garrick's suit. He drops the materia in it. The suit closes, hums, then goes silent*
Julian Sawyer: "But hey, free Money Money badge."
Metal Man (GM): The next room is very simple. There's two doors. An inscription reads:
Metal Man: "To the right, eternal suffering and doom awaits. To the left, you have a happy fate."
Digifanatic: "Oh boy... tricks galore."
Charles Magellean still looks on from the previous room... wondering what is left of the pile.
Tetra: "Okay, this has to be a trick." *He heads to the right.*
Metal Man (GM): There's two fury materials laying around, and a Money Money badge. Tetra vanishes.
King Demon goes with Tetra to the right.
Digifanatic decides to also plan on going right...
Aribar tries one last thing: Putting 1000 of his normal coins on the ground before going to the left.
Metal Man (GM): Aribar: You manage to do so.
Garrick Fy`aar follows Ari.
Julian Sawyer: *Bah. Fine. Whatever. Julian does whatever he needs to do with the Money Money badge to move onto the next room, and takes a left.*
Metal Man (GM): All you have to do is put it back and walk, which you do. *Vanish* *vanish* *vanish* *vanish* That leaves... Charles. The money money badge is now back with the remaining treasure.
Charles Magellean picks up the MM badge, and fury materias. Being set 2 items over the limit, he crosses on the line to the door.
Metal Man (GM): You're hit for 40 Earth damage and knocked back. The badge appears to be the cause of it.
King Demon has a beer while he waits for Charles.
Charles Magellean throws the wretched badge away. He has more than enough money, regardless.
Metal Man (GM): Charles gets to the doors of doom. Which door doth he pick?
Charles Magellean sets down the fury materia first. It's making him heavy and he has no use for them. "...Wait... I know what this is about." *He turns around with his doors behind him and reads the inscription from memory.*
Tetra reaches through time and space to tell Charles to hurry the heck up already.
Charles Magellean goes into the right door; the door the other Questers didn't use.
Metal Man (GM): Okay... Everybody who went in the left door: -1 life. Everybody who went in the right door: You gain 1000 coins.
Julian Sawyer: *Unexplained death!*
Metal Man (GM): Everybody reappears in the final room.
King Demon: "SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!"
Julian Sawyer: "...Ow..."
Tetra: "I knew it. Suffering is a part of life so the left path had to lead to certain death."
Aribar appears weaker now... "Ow..."
Garrick Fy`aar does as well.
Aribar: "That was NOT a happy end!"
Garrick Fy`aar: "Tetra, shut your face."
Digifanatic: "I just figured it was a trick mind game."
Metal Man (GM): You can see the seal clearly now....
Digifanatic: "You know, something that sounds one way but could easily be the other."
Metal Man (GM): ...'cept it's stuck inside a glass case.
Tetra: "It was a happy end for those of us who chose correctly. We get to laugh at you now."
Garrick Fy`aar reaches into his pocket and pulls out a item teleporter, teleporting his 100 rings to him and granting his his second life back.
Metal Man (GM): This glass case is stuck to two columns, one on the top, one at the bottom.
Tetra: "So then... who wants to set off the trap?"
Metal Man (GM): And the final inscription reads...
King Demon: "This looks like it could be kinda tough..."
Charles Magellean: "Left and right are really misinterpreted. I had assume it was the dungeon's left and right."
Metal Man (GM): 'Those who desire the ultimate power are idiots.'
Digifanatic: "Aw, what the heck. I will." *He starts walking towards...*
Tetra: "Does that inscription actually use the word 'idiots'?"
Garrick Fy`aar: "Indeed it does."
Metal Man (GM): A complex looking mosaic puzzle appears.
Aribar walks up to the case... About fourteen feet away from it.
Tetra: "That's a change. Most of the inscriptions seemed so... cryptic and thoughtful."
Digifanatic: "Okay..." *He steps back a few...*
Metal Man (GM): What do you do?
King Demon looks at the mosaic.
Digifanatic tries to solve the puzzle... or as much of it as possible.
Aribar looks at the mosaic.
Tetra decides to let Ari take the puzzle. The Whallers are Ari's people anyway.
Aribar decides to just try and cast Magic Teleport on the seal to bring it to him.
Metal Man (GM): Let me re-announce the last room. Everybody is in the last room. The glass seal is in a glass cylinder. Which is sealed tight and held tight to where it is by columns from the floor and ceiling. It's like one solid column with a window in the middle to show the seal is in there.
Aribar dexes the glass to see if it is magic resistant.
Metal Man (GM): There's an inscription that says 'Those who want the power of the glass fortress are idiots.'
Tetra: *And there's a mosaic puzzle.*
Metal Man (GM): Yes. Which makes a picture as-of-yet unknown.
Smash Dex: "The glass is not magic-resistant."
Aribar decides to just try and cast Magic Teleport on the seal to bring it to him.
Smash Dex: "It is of the normal plate glass variety."
Metal Man (GM): You cast the spell..... It warps outside, but not into your hands. Instead, you hear a laughing....
Dr. Robotnik: "Gyaaahhh haaa haaa haaa!"
Tetra: "Okay, who else totally saw that coming?"
Julian Sawyer: "...Dammit!"
Dr. Robotnik: "At last! The Whallerian Seal is mine!"
Tetra: "And what are you going to do with it?"
Julian Sawyer: "Get him!"
Dr. Robotnik: "All I needed was to complete the dungeon beforehand, then make a fake room. Get me? Do you have any IDEA what this is? If you so much as move, I will break it! Then Kuja will rule the world and I will get part of it for helping him."
Tetra: "No you won't."
Dr. Robotnik: "Then I can take over later. But the point is... game over, Questers!"
Aribar: "...Kuja doesn't share power."
Dr. Robotnik: "He will if I threaten to break this!"
Aribar tries to look and see where Dr. Robotnik is. "...Don't the seals NEED to be broken?"
Metal Man (GM): You hear a machine switching off.
Tetra: "You need the seal to open the door to mighty power. If you break it he'll be locked out too and guess who will be destroyed for ruining his plans..."
Metal Man (GM): You see Dr. Robotnik, standing on a step.
Aribar: "And how did my spell warp it to you?"
Dr. Robotnik: "Yes, but the papers note that he doesn't need a seal."
Charles Magellean: "You weren't concentrating."
Dr. Robotnik: "But... I'm sure I can trick him into thinking my seal affects him!"
Tetra: "Maybe he has some sort of teleportation interceptor?"
Dr. Robotnik: "The seal came to me because I had it in an elaborate matrix. You see, only Questers can remove the seal."
Aribar: "...And only they can put them back?"
Dr. Robotnik: "The minute you so much as touched it with teleportation magic, I snatched it away."
Tetra: "... That sounds far fetched."
Dr. Robotnik: "...Nope. Once they're out, they're out."
Julian Sawyer: "That sounds stupid."
Charles Magellean: "As unbelievable as it sounds, he does indeed possess the seal."
Tetra: "The ancient Whallerians couldn't have even known of us at all, much less made plans around us... could they?"
Dr. Robotnik: "I am a genius. you clearly underestimate me."
Aribar tries to think... They destroyed the first seal, did they not? The elf can't remember, but if so, why would Dr. Robotnik threaten with something that would help them?
Julian Sawyer: "Ari, try teleporting again."
Dr. Robotnik: "I was going to leave you with a few burns from that Team Rocket experience, but then you insulted me! Now, it's personal."
Aribar: "...Jolt!"
Tetra: "Blah blah blah."
Charles Magellean creeks his neck. He sits down.
Dr. Robotnik: "Halt right there! I'll smash this!"
Aribar: "...Jolt!" *The elf tries to zap and stun Dr. Robotnik for 22%*
Julian Sawyer: *Makes a run towards Dr. Robotnik for a diving catch before it can shatter.*
Metal Man (GM): You hit an invisible force field.
Julian Sawyer: *Bonk.*
Dr. Robotnik: "Fool. You didn't even hit me, but now the seal is broken."
Charles Magellean: "And what will you do now?"
Julian Sawyer: "Do we have any Duct Tape?"
Dr. Robotnik: "I have some ideas on what I could do... But what will you do? Your seal is busted, and you can't even touch it."
Tetra: "What's the point of all this, Dr. Robotnik?"
Dr. Robotnik: "So that I can establish the Dr. Robotnik Empire!"
Tetra: "Didn't you want the seal to blackmail Kuja?"
Dr. Robotnik: "Kuja can be dealt with via my Grandfather. You were my chief enemy. Now you are hopeless."
Tetra: "We can put the stupid thing back together."
Julian Sawyer: "Didn't we kill Gerald?"
Tetra: "Assuming that was even the real seal."
Charles Magellean: "A man like Ivo has several plans. If one of them fail, he can go right to the next one."
Dr. Robotnik: "Oh. Well then, I guess I'll be taking this." *Picks up a chunk of the broken glass.*
Julian Sawyer: "..."
Dr. Robotnik: "Thank you for telling me, I was about to let you have a chance at fixing it."
Aribar: "...Magic Teleport!" *The elf tries to teleport the shards to them.*
Metal Man (GM): You gain all of the shards... but the one Dr. Robotnik is holding.
Dr. Robotnik: "Take them. They're useless to you."
Tetra presses some buttons, and zaps the whole place with an EMP, likely disabling Dr. Robotnik's forcefield... and his means of escape.
Metal Man (GM): The field goes down; Dr. Robotnik is not affected. The shard disappears.
Dr. Robotnik: "Do your worst. You cannot stop me."
Tetra then zaps Dr. Robotnik with an Immobilize Ray.
Metal Man (GM): You destroy the... hologram?
Aribar: "Arrg... TERRORBOLT!" *The elf fires a beam of electricity at Dr. Robotnik for 180% damage.*
Metal Man (GM): ...The hologram, it is obliterated.
Charles Magellean: "Illian, you saw this coming too, didn't you?"
Aribar: "...How can a hologram grab a piece of the seal?!"
Metal Man: "Uhhh... yes! Yes I did!"
Charles Magellean: "Because the seal was as real as Ivo was."
Tetra: "The seal was a hologram as well!"
Metal Man: "That means he already has it?"
Charles Magellean: "Meaning he has the real seal beyond the steps."
Metal Man (GM): A portal opens up in the wall.
Julian Sawyer: "..."
Aribar: "...How would the ancient Whallerians, who did... Arrg... Damn technology to the ninth layer of hell."
Julian Sawyer: "I hate this place."
Charles Magellean: "And the real third is beyond this portal."
Julian Sawyer: "Whatever it is, let's go kill it."
Metal Man: "That's not technology. That's magic."
Julian Sawyer: *Enters portal.*
Charles Magellean enters into the portal.
Tetra: "Think of it. Even if he didn't need the seal, would the ancient Whallerians make their seal that easy to break?"
Aribar: "...Dr. Robotnik uses... Bah!" *He just stomps through the portal.*
Tetra shrugs and follows Magellean through the portal.
Metal Man: "Perhaps to test us." *He follows as well.*
Metal Man (GM): *WARP* You appear... in the X-zone ..In front of an ancient temple. It's REALLY OLD.
Julian Sawyer: "...Oh come on!"
Metal Man (GM): It's abandoned. The doors are hanging open.
Tetra: "Well, this is a new place..."
Metal Man (GM): The portal back remains open.
Charles Magellean closes his eyes and takes a large gulp.
Aribar: "...I am beginning to hate my ancestors." *The elf takes hold of the Wand of Wonder and enters the temple.*
Metal Man follows.
Julian Sawyer: *Enters the temple, grumbling.*
Tetra: "Might as well go in..." *He follows into the temple as well.*
Metal Man (GM): The first room is a foyer, with doors that go left and right. There's a fountain in here...
Charles Magellean did not like the last time he was in this X-Zone. Perhaps he can look for more of Sardis Mongul's pages. He goes inside.
Metal Man (GM): It constantly cycles backwards, sucking in water.
Julian Sawyer: *Goes right.*
Metal Man (GM): A magical image appears.
???: "Thou hast entered thy holy temple of Whaller."
Julian Sawyer: "I don't care."
???: "What bring'st thou to thy place?"
Charles Magellean: "Julian, do not be so brash."
Tetra: "Hiya. I don't suppose you know where a guy named Dr. Robotnik is?"
Aribar: "...We seek the Seal of Whaller."
Metal Man: "I don't think you can tell off ancient hallucinations of monks, Julian."
Tetra: "He stole something very important and we think he came here."
???: "The seal... of Whaller... it is free. A piece... missing... What a terrible event, thy have'st witnessed."
Aribar: "...So in the previous chamber the true seal was put?"
???: "Broken, thy holy seal is. It is needed thus, to unseal thine divine power."
Julian Sawyer: "..."
Aribar: "...Somehow, I think you lie."
???: "Thee must invoke the power of the most ancient temple, this one, upon thine place."
Tetra: "I don't speak olde english..."
???: "The great monks of Whaller are sworn to never lie. I would be destroyed upon this't spot, blessed elementals of all... I am thou'st only hopeth."
Charles Magellean: "Let us be on our journey then."
???: "Go to thou right'st, and see what existeth there."
Aribar sighs, and in a voice that admits defeat asks, "What must we do?"
???: "That is thy destiny, for which my brethren shall aid thee."
Julian Sawyer: "...I'm going to the right." *Has gone that way.*
Aribar trudges on towards the right, still not letting his guard down.
Metal Man: "Well, I trust an ancient dead person to randomness, myself." *He goes right.*
Charles Magellean goes right as well.
Tetra goes right, but hangs back... he doesn't trust this.
Metal Man (GM): You behold three vases. Each one is marked as so: 'Soul' 'Mind' 'Body'
???2: "This is thy holy room of magic creation, thy it is. To makest thou seal anew, place it in this very table."
Julian Sawyer: "..."
Metal Man (GM): He points to a marble table, with a holy gleam to it.
Julian Sawyer: "Who's got the pieces?"
Aribar: "We're missing a piece, though." *The elf puts the pieces on the table.*
Metal Man: "...Aribar does."
???2: "That shall be our next problem fixed, thee."
Metal Man (GM): He raises his arms, and the three waters pour atop the symbol. First, the body water.
Charles Magellean: "...That thee did not belong at the end."
Metal Man (GM): The symbol goes into one piece. The mind water, which makes the logo become an orange color again. Then, the soul water, which makes it sparkly.
???2: "Thee musteth not criticize my improper language; it befalls the beholder to be calmed."
???: "Taketh the piece to the next room."
Julian Sawyer: "Whatever."
Metal Man (GM): He points to a door on the right.
Charles Magellean: "Very well."
Aribar: "...Did you just say that there's eye tyrants, beholders, here?"
Tetra: "No..."
???2: "I have not met such fearsome things."
Julian Sawyer: *Picks up the piece and moves on to the next room.*
Tetra sighs and heads onward.
Metal Man (GM): The next room... you see a well dressed man.
Aribar shrugs and follows.
Metal Man (GM): He wears a black overcoat, and a white undershirt.
Charles Magellean goes forward as well.
Metal Man (GM): He has a striped, black and white tie.
Julian Sawyer: "..."
Metal Man (GM): He has no hat, but a rather expensive looking hairstyle, with it looking completely black.
Charles Magellean: "Nice formal attire."
Julian Sawyer: "You are supposed to be, who?"
Tetra: "This is the businessman monk."
Metal Man (GM): He has expensive leather shoes and black pants, and stuff.

Tetra: "... Right."
Damien Shire: "I am Damien Shire, and I was told that some people would see me in the far future."
Metal Man (GM): He speaks with a southern drawl.
Damien Shire: "What do you need?"
Aribar: "...You can come back with us if you wish, but we've a piece of a seal we must give to you first."
Julian Sawyer: "We're missing a piece of a seal."
Tetra: "What they said."
Damien Shire: "Oh yes. The seal. That's it. I was researching a rare type of glass, and discovered it in a cave. Unfortunately, inside that cave was a portal to this place, where it all originated from. There is also a Promised Land, which this place used to be."
Julian Sawyer: "..."
Charles Magellean: "Have patience, Julian."
Damien Shire: "It is rumored that a hole between dimensions caused chaos to destroy this land."
Tetra: "What happened to it?"
Julian Sawyer: "You mean the X-Zone?"
Tetra: "I see..."
Damien Shire: "A fitting name. This is actually a type of limbo. People like me, who had no set point to existence, accumulate here. So does ancient information."
Julian Sawyer: "...Uh-huh..."
Damien Shire: "Now I have a purpose. And it is... to fix your seal."
Metal Man (GM): Damien Shire pulls out a weird block of ice-like glass.
Julian Sawyer: "Great. Here it is." *Presents the Seal of Whaller. Hooray.*
Damien Shire: "The only problem is that I lack the skill to make this raw glass into a fitting shape. Only one of Whalleranian descent can fix that seal, too, so..."
Aribar: "..." *Looks left and right.*
Damien Shire: "We're going to need to revive a dead Whallerian, I guess."
Aribar: "Or I can do it..."
Tetra: "Elf guy is a Whallerian."
Charles Magellean: "The one-armed elf here is a Whaller guy."
Aribar: "I'm a poor craftsman, though."
Damien Shire: "You're one? Well, that leaves out the toying with life thing."
Julian Sawyer: "Hoo-rah."
Damien Shire: "Can you do magick?"
Aribar: "I'm a novice, but yes."
Damien Shire: "I hear that's the only thing which can cut this... good."
Charles Magellean coughs a snicker.
Aribar glares back at Magellean.
Damien Shire: "Concentrate on this, then make a good fitting piece. Then we can all get out of this deadly boresome temple."
Aribar looks back to Shire. "... I will try... I think."
Julian Sawyer: *Crosses fingers.*
Aribar tries to comply with Damien's demands and concentrate on the block of ice-like glass.
Julian Sawyer: *W00t.*
Metal Man (GM): ...Well, you make it perfect on the first try. It fits in perfectly.
Julian Sawyer: "Hooray Aribar."
Damien Shire: "Well, I guess that fixes that thing."
Julian Sawyer: *High-five.*
Damien Shire: "I'll just come around with you people."
Aribar the self-berating elf, just looks at the perfect piece. "... Just dumb luck."
Tetra: "Yeah. I agree."
Damien Shire: "Let's go, before this chaotic place twists any of us."
Charles Magellean: "It's too late for me. Already was banished here once."
Julian Sawyer: "You should consider buying a top hat to go for your suit."
Damien Shire: "Maybe, though it might hide my nice hairstyle."
Charles Magellean: "...Do you know of a Sardis Mongul by any chance?"
Aribar takes the finished seal and starts towards the portal.
Julian Sawyer: "A Transparent top hat, then. And a monocle."
Damien Shire: "Terrible man. Consumed by some sort of secret work and everything. In fact... that cave was awfully close to his lab. You don't reckon he has something to do with this place?"
Charles Magellean: "Know of a machine named Smithy?"
Tetra: "Beats me. Let's get going. I don't like this place."
Damien Shire: "What's that, some sort of blacksmith?"
Julian Sawyer: "Evil robot."
Tetra: "Something like that."
Damien Shire: "Sardis was a bit weird, I know, but I don't remember him talking to evil robots."
Tetra is edging towards the door.
Charles Magellean: "...In a very loose manner of speaking. I still seek the pages of his journal, so I will probably look in the cave in the future. Let's go."
Tetra: "Don't you think we can talk about this back in the real world?"
Damien Shire: "Oh? Wait... I have one of those pages. Just read to me the last page you have."
Charles Magellean: "I can show it to you while we walk outta here."
Metal Man (GM): Damien Shire nods, then gets to walking.
Charles Magellean walks alongside Damien.
Tetra follows them out.
Julian Sawyer: *Starts a-walkin'*
Metal Man follows.
Charles Magellean: "In page 8 of his journal, he wrote the following: ''It was a disaster! The machine has been destroyed. I am marooned on a foreign moon of Nintendus. All I have is the orb itself... I am lost. I decided to write down the prophecy of the tablet...'"
Damien Shire: "I wish I could go back home, but the portal done disappeared on me before I could escape. Hmmmm... Aha! Here we go."
Tetra: "You can come with us. But we need to hurry..."
Damien Shire: *Pulls out the page* "Page 9."
Charles Magellean is wondering how someone outta the blue can have the very next page of the book.
Damien Shire: "He said 'I have managed to send this page of my diary back to my best friend, Damien Shire. I hope he is reading this, because he alone can read the prophecy.'"
Metal Man (GM): *Everybody gets to the portal.*
Aribar stops before entering the portal, hrming.
Damien Shire: "Let's see... this part here is written in a shorthand only I can understand."
Aribar: "I don't think this seal is fully ready."
Tetra: "Oh for the love of..."
Aribar: "Mainly because on the first seal we were teleported back to the main room... No so this time."
Damien Shire: "Perhaps I should finish reading this."
Charles Magellean: "Will do."
Tetra: "Read it. -_-"
Damien Shire: "The great tablet says a very dire message. If the X-zone is activated, logic and reason will slowly lose their power."
Tetra: "You know, maybe the reason we haven't teleported is because we're in a different universe."
Damien Shire: "Furthermore, all continuity of existence will slowly be corrupted and destroyed, becoming like another X-zone."
Aribar shrugs and enters the portal to test Tetra's theory.
Damien Shire: "This will eventually merge into the X-zone, obliterating... everything, just as the X-zone destroyed a world... dominated by Atlanteans!"
Tetra follows Aribar back into reality.
Damien Shire: "I have sent this using a prototypical device I found alongside the ancient tablet... it says something of 'Item Mover' on it. I found out how it worked. Unfortunately, it only had enough power to move this page. I have ripped out the rest of this book's pages. Only those who deserve to read them will see them. That is all." *Follows Aribar to reality.*
Charles Magellean walks into the portal.
Julian Sawyer: *Reality-tastic.*
Metal Man (GM): Okay, here we go. You all reappear... in the main room.
Charles Magellean: "...I am now one step closer to finding more of Sardis Mongul's journal of the X-Zone. I must say, these pages I'm not liking."
Julian Sawyer: "Yay."
Metal Man (GM): Dr. Robotnik is there, trying to break open the door to the Solarian area.
Dr. Robotnik: "...IMPOSSIBLE!"
Metal Man (GM): He turns to face you, and your fixed seal... and appearing out of the X-zone...
Dr. Robotnik: "I intentionally sent that temple to the X-zone!"
Tetra: .oO(You broke the seal, moron. Did you think the door would open?)
Aribar quickly hides the shard in his pack. and puts his hands behind his back.
Julian Sawyer: "Hah!"
Dr. Robotnik: "I had to sacrifice my grandfather's only working X-zone machine to do it..."
Julian Sawyer: "Shows what you know!"
Aribar: "You need the shard to open the door... And we have the fixed shard. Do you want it back?"
Dr. Robotnik: "...And this man... I sent him to the X-zone, too!"
Julian Sawyer: "And such. Booyah!"
Charles Magellean approaches Dr. Robotnik... slowly.
Aribar: "And I'm serious... Do you want the seal back?"
Tetra: "Dr. Robotnik, shutup. We're not buying your story."
Damien Shire: "You are merely a cruel man. Who will not win."
Charles Magellean: "And I have one question for you..."
Dr. Robotnik: "...What is this... about a diary?" *Pulls out another, tattered page* "Oooohoooo! I have myself an irreplaceable hostage!"
Charles Magellean: "...Uh... yeah."
Dr. Robotnik: "I have... page 11, and part of page ten..."
Tetra: "Sigh..."
Dr. Robotnik: "But I can't just destroy it, no. You'd fix it. I believe I have a business proposition."
Charles Magellean: "The seal for the pages."
Julian Sawyer: "Aribar, Teleport?"
Dr. Robotnik: "Seal for the pages? Well, I didn't say it, but sure!"
Tetra: "Just shut your mouth, Dr. Robotnik."
Charles Magellean: "No, we will not abide by those conditions."
Tetra presses some buttons and Dr. Robotnik is zapped with an immobilizing beam of electricity.
Dr. Robotnik: *A force field blocks it* "Fool. I am a technomancer by family."
Aribar: "...Seal for the pages? Why not?"
Tetra: "Again with the stupid force fields!"
Dr. Robotnik: "Hear me out."
Tetra: "Why should we?"
Aribar tries to quietly conjure up an illusion of the seal while his hand's behind his back. "Yes?"
Dr. Robotnik: "I have something you want, and you have something I want. Give me all of your chaos emeralds, and I will give you these pages."
Tetra: "You have nothing I want. I care nothing for some ratty old diary pages."
Dr. Robotnik: "These pages are worth more than chaos emeralds. Oho... without them, you might just fail your quest to stop Kuja."
Aribar dispells the illusion and just remains quiet.
Dr. Robotnik: "A real genius made this diary... a very... ingenious one."
Damien Shire: "Well, it's up to you. I don't hold the diary, and I only delivered that page because Sardis would want it that way."
Charles Magellean: "Sardis Mongul of Smithy's work team."
Dr. Robotnik: "I will not cease to bother you until I have those chaos emeralds. You beat me. I can't cheat you out of stopping Kuja. But I can make it a lot harder, in the process allowing me to come up with plans to defeat you."
Metal Man: "Well, it's up to those people with chaos emeralds."
Aribar looks to Locos. "Do we REALLY need those pages? I will not be parted with my Chaos Emerald easily. Especially when giving them to an evil villain."
Charles Magellean rereads the pages.
Tetra: "I don't suppose there's anything else we could trade you for the pages? Money, perhaps?"
Charles Magellean: "..." *He uses True Vision on Ivo.*
Dr. Robotnik: "I can steal anything I want. Very few people can repulse a sneak attack of robots."
Metal Man (GM): You see... Ivo, wearing a portable force field projector.
Dr. Robotnik: "So then. A deal or not? I can always keep these pages... But if you try to take them, the shock of stealing them might just destroy them."
Aribar: "...I see no reason for me to forfeit my Chaos Emerald for the sheets."
Tetra: "We can put them back together. We repaired the seal after all."
Julian Sawyer: *Whisper* "Yo, Ari, try using Magic Teleport on the pages. I'm willing to bet they don't have one of those matrixes on 'em."
Dr. Robotnik: "Very well then. I shall keep these pieces of paper, and they shall not leave my hands until I have the chaos emeralds. All of them, too."
Charles Magellean runs by the variables of when the prophecy may come, the paths...
Dr. Robotnik: "Unless you give them right now. I shall walk out. Stop me if you want to trade."
Tetra: "We don't even have ALL of the Chaos Emeralds, you idiot."
Dr. Robotnik: *Begins walking out of the temple* "That is exactly the point. You'd have to gather them for me."
Tetra: "No deal."
Dr. Robotnik: "No deal it is."
Charles Magellean: "Ivo, no disrespect, but I was given the Red one for a reason. My anger rises quickly nowadays and could become uncontrolled."
Aribar shakes his head at Julian's suggestions.
Tetra: "I don't work for evil lunatics. Not even for prophecies."
Dr. Robotnik: "I might have pity and toss you these five minutes after it's too late." *Leaves.*
Metal Man (GM): The final door begins to glow.... *SHUNK* The repaired seal appears where it should be.
Julian Sawyer: "...Well, that was pointless."
Metal Man (GM): With two of them colored in, the final door opens... and the Whallerian dungeon disappears silently.
Metal Man: "Not exactly. Those pages are worth a lot."
Charles Magellean: "He will have to gain our trust first before the idea of trading with him is possible."
Tetra: "We can not give him the Chaos Emeralds. And I refuse to gather them for him. But there are other ways to get those pages. Number 1 being pry them from his cold dead hands."
Metal Man: "Yes. We can always do that later..."
Aribar: "I have to agree with Tetra here."
Metal Man: "But I am afraid it might be too late."
Aribar: "Now... Onward to the last dungeon?"
Charles Magellean takes a few steps back.
Tetra: "Hmm? What's wrong, Mr. Magellean?"
Charles Magellean: "...The Solarian." *He takes more steps back.*
Metal Man: "Onward, I believe... though it is the dungeon that Charles would hate the most."
Charles Magellean: "..."
Tetra: "Hmm... aren't they the ones who made the machine that destroyed Eisnaught?"
Metal Man: "It is also responsible for the destruction of Earth."
Charles Magellean: "...I am needed at the Stadium for some time. Would you mind dexing me when you're done for this place?"
Julian Sawyer: "Yeah, but they aren't here right now."
Metal Man: "Not at all. I'll remember."
Julian Sawyer: "Sure."
Tetra: "...Earth? You mean Metal's planet?"
Charles Magellean looks away... a tear drops down.
Metal Man: "Yes. You should read up on it... they destroyed it with their machine."
Aribar looks to Charles... "Wait..."
Metal Man: "Killed all of the evil Maricians, mostly, but wound up killing recognizable landmarks and landforms, too... You should read the history books."
Tetra nods.
Aribar: "Are you sure that you're needed? After you leave, who knows if you'll be able to get back here? After all three seals are in place we may be warped somewhere unknown and unreachable!"
Charles Magellean: "...It happened a long time ago. I do not want to see it again." *He looks to his dex. He requests for a portal to Quester HQ.*
Mewtwo: "I'll get you a warp immediately."
Metal Man (GM): A blue warp appears.
Tetra: "We understand. We'll dex you before setting the final seal."
Aribar sees other alternatives for Charles to take, but stays quiet, unsure of what his Lunarian friend is feeling.
Charles Magellean lethargically walks towards the portal... then stops before looking back towards the temple opening. He shakes his head violently, then runs right into the warp, not looking back.
Metal Man: "Do not fear. We shall destroy this last true Solarian monument."
Metal Man (GM): ^Charles would hear that, echoing in the portal.
Julian Sawyer: "I don't get this place..."
Metal Man: "I don't know how it was created. Something greater than the three powers put this together... after the war, it seems. This is not Neo-Earth work, though. So who or what... built this?"
Tetra: "Sha'Fol maybe?"
Julian Sawyer: "Who cares? We'll probably find out up ahead."
Tetra: "Well, let's go."
Aribar: "I'm wondering what the great power is at the top of this fortress... To have all three races guard it... It must have been important and powerful."
Julian Sawyer: "Like I said, we'll probably find out up ahead. Now move!"
Metal Man (GM): *Pause.*
