Super Smash Quest - Story - Chapter 282: Interdimensional Smack Talk
Date: 11:00:19 AM, June 10th; 9:52:58 PM, June 10th, 2006.
Metal Man (GM): CONTINUATION
Charles had just hooked up his machine of sorts... in a last ditch effort to help himself atop his ruined moon.
The strange device, once hooked up, causes something even stranger to happen.
The entire area, the base, the whole thing, becomes filled with white light.
Charles Magellean eyes become wide, his mouth open as his entire being is engulfed in the light as well.
Metal Man (GM): The light soon becomes visible to you.
You see... a very strange land.
It is entirely of this light; buildings, people, even a sun which, somehow, is brighter than the white sky.
A single person looks to you, and suddenly walks over.
???: "...It appears a twist of fate has allowed an unknown being here."
Charles Magellean puts his hand over his forehead to shield himself from this bright world.
???: "Not the first... not the last... but the only one to stay here for any appreciable amount of time. Where cometh you?"
Charles Magellean puts his hand down. He looks to this person in the eyes.
Metal Man (GM): The person, who is really hard to see (also being made of light) appears to be of some ancient culture. He wears clothes remarkably similar to those you've heard of being worn by those on Earth.
A barely visible Tuxedo. Must be a businessman of some sort.
Charles Magellean: "I come from my home world, a satellite nearby a planet known as Earth. Upon a series of events that lead up to this moment, I was trying to salvage the remains of my base. What... reality is this?"
???: "It is hard for the likes of corporeal beings to understand... this is not so much a realm as it is the intersection of all realities in time. ...Recently, strange technology began sending people through it, and you apparently short-circuited a piece of it to send you here. Our matters are separate from yours. Despite being able to see your realm, we choose not to interfere... however... You are here... which means whatever your problems are must relate to us in some way. A base... tell me more."
Charles Magellean: "An entity known as Kuja Tribal had terrorized a planet in a reality somewhat parallel to mine, a planet called Nintendus. He had crossed over to mine to try destroy me. His effort failed, yet as I am who I am, I could not let him disgrace my homeworld."
???: "...I know why you are here now." *He seems sort of sad.* "...Kuja crossed into our realm with a device made by the Atlanteans... and began to attempt to manipulate your world from our plane. Amazingly, even for being corporeal, we couldn't interfere until your moon had already been destroyed, and an unknown being named Lumis had been killed. ...Clearly, in the normal order of things, your base should have never been destroyed. We have the power to reverse damage dealt to the base and your friends, but it comes at a cost which you may not agree to."
Charles Magellean: "On one good side, one threat was neutralized by me and the Questers. ...Only one, though, through my understanding of tesseracts.
I digress. Please state the cost."
???: "For everything done by us, there is an equal and opposite motion. To rebuild the base and all that was dead there would..." He sits there, sort of thinking.
"...Hmmm. Yes. It would shove your moon into the realm you just vacated from the sheer force of the energy used. For the motion of it flying into the planet would shove it through a dimension or two."
Charles Magellean: "... I can only imagine the repercussions that such an action could do."
???: "The energy used is too powerful for its own good in your realm. That is why we rarely interfere... and why Kuja essentially destroyed himself."
"He used so much power he blinded himself to logic and fate and set himself up for an easy fall when he'd previously been plotting backup plans for every case, chance, and possibility. You're lucky his mega-attack didn't send Nintendus into the Special Zone by accident... it took all of our power to prevent it from totally exploding. ...If I may explain something, there is a reason why now you're appearing here as opposed to the X-zone. ...Your dimension moves through all dimensions like planets orbit a sun. Currently, it is lined up with ours. In the future, it is unknown what sort of universe may await when you teleport. This is also how Kuja got to your world in the first place. At the time, it orbited the dead and decayed dimension which he had ruled for thousands of years."
Editor's Note: It's a nice attempt at world-building, but like the other log, none of this is in effect for SSQ's universe, and was only around for this weird Book's era (and even that gets rewritten mid-stream...)
Charles Magellean: "Kuja of Nintendus is no more, The Void is within the Neo-Earthian Illian, and since Nintendus is a multi-verse, it would make my search for finding the only other Lunarian not in slumber easier."
Editor's Note: Heh heh heh. "Neo-Earthian Illian", in reality any time Neo-Earth was related, it was the proto-Xavier...
???: *Puts a finger to his chin* "If you agree to our help, we shall do what we can to rebuild your base, then."
Charles Magellean: "The price is the traitor that sleeps in the Moon's Core."
???: "Many things to the same tune as he have been unearthed recently... perhaps the time for his fight is coming."
Charles Magellean: "He wanted Earth so badly... and since Nintendus is a form of Earth..."
*He holds his hands to his head, sighing deeply...*
???: "...Yes... this works out on the balance. The Questers are the right force to destroy him... with your help, of course. For even if he is stronger than Kuja... they overpowered him and the Neo-Earthian nobody."
Charles Magellean: "...The nobody..."
Metal Man (GM): He pulls out a strange abacus and moves some beads around on it.
Charles Magellean: .oO(Whoops. Don't wanna think about it.)
???: "Hmmm... there's quite a few other things... nothing the likes of that previous chaos... but a complex situation nonetheless."
Charles Magellean: "The Questers have no business with dealing with Lunarian problems. It is our proble---this is more of a one-sided corporeal matter. The residents of Nintendus that died on my world deserve better though."
???: "Your choice. The only things we are concerned with is the damage that Kuja did. If it is all right with you, it would be best if the reparations were made."
Charles Magellean: "The poem he created on the ruins would be a start... Very well. The Moon shall orbit Nintendus from this point on.
After this, though, I will find a way of returning my home to the dimension my ancestors picked."
Metal Man (GM): He holds out a hand; you can see an image, nay, it's a rip in the dimension, which shows your entire base.
The poem can be seen... then, what appears to be a solar flare engulfs it... it is eye-boggling. You see Kuja's beam again... going backwards.
The poem unwrites itself, the explosions undo themselves, the machines fix themselves, it is rebuilt atom by atom.
Charles Magellean: "I'm concerned though. This maybe corporeal thinking, but what would happen if the barriers between quantum realities... weaken?"
Metal Man (GM): The entire planet is seen flying away so fast it rips a hole in the dimensional fabric, and then, at Nintendus (zoomed out), you see it appear in an orbit slightly further out than Nintendus's own moon.
???: "Where it weakens, other barriers are strengthened. The X-zone and Special Zone were long sealed off, as was Kuja's own realm. You only have our realm and your own to think about... for now."
Charles Magellean: "...We do have different ways of thinking. Perhaps what I speak of is beyond *Your* understanding. What do you believe will be the repercussions of your actions for Nintendus may be?"
???: "The betrayer you speak of will become yet another being in a massive puzzle being unveiled as the Questers search for truth. Whether or not he comes out yet... is the only variable... but he is naturally limited by his prison."
Charles Magellean: "As I said... I will make sure that the Questers are not involved. It is none of their concern."
*He is curious though. He opens Garrick's dex.*
Metal Man (GM): The dex pops open; it appears to have great reception up here.
???: "...Be wary... up here, the smash dex can receive commands from alternate realities."
Metal Man (GM): You see a strange transmission; some guy who looks like Metal talking about the MMS.
It's a bit faded, but you make out he's talking to someone who looks like Yurie.
Charles Magellean dexes the non-corporeal being.
Smash Dex: "...DING!"
It overloads with text for a few moments.
"End of entry."
???: "...Normal devices cannot comprehend our existence."
Charles Magellean: "I had thought as such. Your existence, and everything here, is not understood by most. ...As well as Julian. ^_^ "
*He chuckles a bit by his own comment.*
"If I may so boldly ask, is there a 'label' of sort for this 'state of existence' ?"
???: "Ethereal energy being... you may have seen it once or twice. The Void was an example... his power came from his existence, not from anything special. That is why he persisted long after Kuja's corporeal body merely disintegrated. You are lucky he was a flawed one. The real thing could have corrupted your entire realm. It was only because he did not understand himself that he failed to complete his ultimate attack."
Charles Magellean: "The Dance of a Thousand Deaths."
*He asks a more bolder question.* "Is there a 'name' for this state of existence, or is what around us in constant flux?"
???: "...It may sound pretentious, but it is often referred to being Ascended. The next step from even a machine."
Charles Magellean: "So by an accurate corporeal understanding, this place could be called 'The Ascended Existence' ?"
???: "Of sorts... yes."
Charles Magellean: "So far so good."
*He rubs his hands together.
* "Will my memory of this place stay intact? Is this place to be kept secret?"
???: "Your memory will stay intact, though you won't be seeing it for a long time... if ever again. It is especially difficult to get here... your presence was only required because of what Kuja did to unbalance things. Which, in turn, keeps it safe from all but the most devious interdimensional beings such as Kuja. As most people refer to it as silly names like heaven and proclaim nobody can come here alive."
Charles Magellean: "I wish I could stay and learn of this intersection of worlds... but alas, I know I cannot stay. It would also be pointless to ask of your name since I could not properly hear it, anyway."
???: "...Indeed. My name does not make sense to non-Ascended beings."
Charles Magellean: "That... is one thing I can understand of you."
???: "Youm may refer to me as The Businessman. All of us have generic titles to make up for a lack of names usable around people unlike us."
Charles Magellean nods. "I am ready to leave if my business here is done."
Metal Man (GM): He casually opens another hole, which appears to lead back to your base.
The Businessman: "Have a good trip."
Charles Magellean bows as one would use "Praise be to Yevon. Goodbye... The Businessman."
*He tries to use his mind to slide backwards into the hole of reality. He waves good-bye.*
Metal Man (GM): *Warp* You reappear back at your base, in Samus-like style.
That is, as if transported by some sort of laser or something.
Charles Magellean: "Ricky? Bob? FAYTH?"
Bob, Lord of Electric Death: "Hmmm... nice to see you, Charles. Do you know why we suddenly time traveled 10 years into the future? It is rather awkward."
Charles Magellean: "...All of you were dead. Kuja Tribal's doing. This will... take some time."
Bob, Lord of Electric Death: *Looks mildly shocked* "Huh... I do remember a massive explosion... but then I'm here now."
*Looks out the window* "...What is Nintendus doing out there?"
Charles Magellean: *Like I said ...some time. Fast forward.*
Bob, Lord of Electric Death: "Umm... errr... I see... or... maybe not... that hurts my processors just thinking about it."
Charles Magellean explains what happened on Turion, freeing Nintendus, The 6 commanders of Kuja, Kuja's death, The Void's true purpose, the Smashers parting ways...
*He then goes on to explain using Atlantis, (leaving out his meeting with his imaginary Nobody), the traveling to the place of the Ascended ones, and explaining why they're on Nintendus.*
"...And that's what happened.
The Businessman had done all this to rid the remnants of Kuja's handiwork."
Bob, Lord of Electric Death: "...This makes things very different, I must admit. ...Things do not appear to operate like they did back when anymore."
Charles Magellean: "The important thing is you guys are home now."
Bob, Lord of Electric Death: "Perhaps... indeed."
F.A.Y.T.H.: "...It appears our attempt to stop Kuja failed. Most of my excess power was lost in the attempt. What remains is enough to maintain our base and continue exploration of this moon."
Charles Magellean: "Still..."
*He looks to Ricky, the former assistant of his military. He smiles.* "Since The Moon now orbits Nintendus, you can go home if you want. I believe you would find it more peaceful now."
Ricky Koopa: "In the time that has passed, my home may not even exist anymore. And even with that, this place has been a far better home."
Charles Magellean: *Sweatdrop*
"Yes, yes. I forgot to mention that mostly everything is as it was before Kuja took over...
Minus the ruins of his tower and the Glass Fortress."
Ricky Koopa: "...I certainly don't want to work for Bowser again."
Charles Magellean: "You're free to do as you please now... me..."
Ricky Koopa: "With these new forces you speak of, I believe a small military force to protect this building would be most appropriate."
Charles Magellean looks out to the Lunar Cave where Bahamut lives.
"I will have to pray to Lord Bahamut for permission before anyone new can come.
In the meanti---"
*He looks to the Lunar Palace, standing as it always has... even for the past 35 years.
...I've put it off long enough."
*He turns to the others.
Bob, Lord of Electric Death: "???"
Charles Magellean: "...There is another. A second Lunarian. He guards over those that slumber in the Moon's Core.
Until you meet him, I cannot reveal his name."
F.A.Y.T.H.: "And he has been there, silent, as all the previous chaos has gone on? Very interesting."
Charles Magellean: "I tried going there, but the Lunar Path is blocked by many a powerful fiend. That's the only way to go in there... for the time being, it's best to stick to exploration.
Bob, are the transporters working?"
Bob, Lord of Electric Death: "It says something about the X-zone not existing. Appears they needed that insane realm to just randomly teleport matter."
Charles Magellean: "Not to another realm. To Nintendus. I'm going back to Quester HQ."
Bob, Lord of Electric Death: "Same thing. However, we appear to be able to set up a beacon and have the Quester's teleporter pick you up. It appears to have advanced quite a bit in recent years..."
Charles Magellean: "Do so. Make a surprise beep to the Big Room."
Bob, Lord of Electric Death: "Okay."
Metal Man (GM): Suddenly, you find yourself in the Big Room. A beep is heard shortly after.
Charles Magellean: "I'm back, Illian."
Metal Man wanders in. "Huh? What? Oh... hello... That's odd. I swear you went back home...
That teleporter only went one way, didn't it?"
Editor's Note: Only fitting that the 'dubiously Illian, dubiously Metal Man (original), dubiously Xavier' character here isn't certain about being called 'Illian.'
Charles Magellean: "Yes. You'll find something even odder. Scan Nintendus's immediate orbit."
Metal Man: "Well, I don't know. How odd is a Solarian who has trapped his soul inside computers and is now trying to escape from the center of Nintendus?"
Charles Magellean: "Not as odd as what I've done in the last ten minutes. Thanks to a Businessman, Nintendus has another moon.
See for yourself."
Metal Man looks out a convenient monitor.
"...Huh... that looks a lot like the one Kuja blew up... and Smithy blew up... and Grodus II blew up..."
Charles Magellean: *Sweatdrop. He clears his throat.*
"That is because it Is the one they attacked.
You heard me. The Moon now orbits Nintendus."
Metal Man: "...I won't even ask how it traveled through time and space."
Charles Magellean laughs with a bellow that can be heard throughout the building.
"That's right, bud. For the time being, I'm a permanent resident of this altered Earth."
Metal Man: "Well, just be careful not to get it too close to the insane space station orbiting Nintendus."
Charles Magellean: "Ahh ya been causin' in the two days that I've been gone."
Metal Man: "We also have the Mages Council angry at us, we beat up Ganondorf, and the aforementioned madness involving 10,000 year old buildings."
Charles Magellean: "Where can I see visual records of all of this?"
Metal Man: "Right here." *Points at a console in the middle of the room.*
Charles Magellean pulls up a chair and begins to sit through the video feed of all that has been happening the past week. (I said two days, but I'm not sure of the passage of time either.)
"Okay, Stalchild army..."
*Fast forwards tap a bit* "Julian egging Ganondorf... that's old..." *FF* "Okay, Ganondorf joins the fun...
Talking... a bashing... more egging on, Ganondorf takes 8 missile blasts, little effect..."
*He fast forwards towards their choice of fleeing, fighting Ganondorf evolved, or smashing the rune.*
"Remind me to talk to Ganondorf about breaking his end of the verbal contract."
*He forwards to mission 2.*
"Mm-hmm... They're looking... looking...?...Hmm, 'Gunicard.'
Looking some more... looking some more... they find the guy, Julian tells him to shut the hell up, and he--- ¬¬# He clothesline the guy.
Metal, remind me to take yank Vendetta away from him."
Metal Man: "I already have it." *Brandishes it.*
Charles Magellean: "He suffers a concussion... something good... Questers put a container somewhere... smiley face..."
*He pauses the tape.
He looks to Metal... with bewilderment.*
"Well, well, well. Things DO change."
*He looks back to the tape.*
"Guy is in charge of maintenance, they armed a NUKE? ----I'm not really surprised----" *FF* "They talk about who could've done it..."
*He pops in mission 3.*
"'First Contact'. Well THAT is a stupid name for a mission.
Guy's house..." *FF* "whining guy... Ohh a pyromage.
This outta be good.
Nadra Liah of the Mages Council... Gibby, of all people, tries to calm her down...
Aribar used Chaos Con---"
*He sees the PHHOOOMM and the house goes ablaze.*
Metal Man: "That was quite a spectacular explosion."
Charles Magellean: "Daymn! I didn't think she'd be angry over that."
*He checks his dex for the rules of the mages council.*
"...This is odd. They don't have anything against the usage of Chaos Control.
This still doesn't look like it set her off."
Editor's Note: I wish Charles had critiqued his own stuff as thoroughly as he did mine; perhaps, he could have averted the regrettable things he did later on.
Metal Man: "See here." *Points.*
Metal Man (GM): '8. Time Machines, interdimensional portals, and the like must be approved by Ivan Robotnik before they can be used.'
Charles Magellean: "Hmm... she was more concerned about the Quester's own rules their own rule. Go fig."
Metal Man: "That is their rules... pretty much."
Charles Magellean: "Oh, I see. Misread the title."
*He watches the whole movie.*
"She's pretty damn good at magical prowess."
*He sees fire burning, she talking down the Questers... then Julian comes in.*
"And here he comes, saving the day with Vendetta."
*He sees the... orange lightning?*
Metal Man chuckles a bit to himself.
Charles Magellean: "Now this is un-ordinary, even for Julian. She raves about the power of Overdrive, something about master, turns very orange...
She uses Overdrive on Julian, applause, applause...
...That can only be used in a transformation of some kind.
Not even Lunarians can use fourth-level black magicks."
*He whispers,* "Although healing magic isn't black." ;)
"She passes out, a guy waves his finger at Julian, they both leave.
There's a fight between veterans and recruits...
I can see why you have Vendetta now but... wha?
For a brief moment, I could've ..." *Rewinds*.
Yep, that's The Void alright.""
Metal Man: "He's a part of me, and me a part of him. Just don't expect him to be able to do anything much."
Charles Magellean looks to Metal. "So nobody but you can touch it for the time being. What did Julian do to the lightsaber?"
Metal Man: "...He rebuilt it somehow, and from that it became... infected."
Charles Magellean: "I swear, he's become too dependent on that thing."
Metal Man: "So much so that only The Void within me is immune to it."
Charles Magellean watches the fight.
"Bleh, Scan visors. A smash dex is good for anyone.
...WHAT THE HELL IS AN UNSENT DOING HERE!?
...Sorry about that. Impulse."
Metal Man: "Which being do you say is the unsent?"
Charles Magellean: "I see. Because of their superiority in numbers, they unfairly win the match."
*He points to The Wraith whenever he appears on the screen.*
Metal Man: "Ah... well... I don't know."
Charles Magellean: "...I'll deal with that entity later." *Pops in the latest mission.*
"A Neo-Earth building. Wonder why that didn't appear earlier."
*He fast forwards a little. Something unable to translate, a column in the way, and he goes to the first Quint battle.
* "Powerful... but not strong...
In endurance, of course.
Guess 10,000 years will do that to a machine."
*He fast forwards more to the encounter of Rathos Lell.
* "A case of mistaken identity. S-signs... well this battle of is more against the machines than the terminal that Rathos is in."
*He laughs at the attempts that Julian does.* "The guy becomes more involved in non-thinking everyday!
Guy retreats, they power up the building... Gunicard interacts with the Neo-Earth A.I. ...Why do you people think that an armed nuke is something to sneeze at?
It isn't as powerful as Kuja's Dimensional Cannon but it can still do pretty decent damage."
Metal Man: "It wasn't me... it was the computer who thought it was something to sneeze at. Apparently they had weapons which made nuclear warfare obsolete."
Charles Magellean: "I bet you'd still sneeze at it."
*He skips ahead to floor 5, room ten.*
"Okay, this is something. The guy indirectly says that he is Solarian... and is confused that Sardis Mongul and you survived.
I can't say that I give a crap of how this happened, but why isn't someone telling him of what happened to Sardis?"
Metal Man: "Good question."
Charles Magellean: "And thus, obliviousness falls on a Quester and puts the mission in jeopardy."
*He rewinds the tape several times to the point Gibby said:
"Look, I don't know much at all about you Solarians, but revenge isn't the way!"*
Metal Man: "Yes, that is ironic. Had he demanded a fight, they could have killed him."
Charles Magellean: "Thus, thanks to obliviousness, Gibby says something you shouldn't say to a Solarian, and then he ---"
*He fast forwards to see what else goes on... he sees him escaping, the movie of the Solarians invading the floating tower, etc. etc.*
Metal Man: "Now we have a madman loose in the computers."
Charles Magellean: "What's in the core of Nintendus? Low-priority machines?"
*He pops out the tape.
* "What concerns me is where the Solarian comes from... by the looks of things, he comes from The Three Powers' War of your timeline.
Which would mean that he has no idea what a Lunarian is.
In any case, I'm here to stay for a spell. Would you happen to have some spare quarters for a former Quester to bunk in?"
Editor's Note: Astute observation. This leads into the confusion of Solarians (False), Solarians (False) (Past), and Solarians (Real) as well as another sub-category, Solarians (Real) (Past)...
Metal Man: "Plenty of them. They're upstairs."
Charles Magellean: "Holo rooms?"
Metal Man: "...Not quite operational yet."
Charles Magellean: *Poit* "Say wha?"
Metal Man: "Not quite operational. They're still being programmed."
Charles Magellean: "Well how long until they're up and running?"
*He forms a plan...
* "...I believe I know now how I can have that duel with The Void that fate denied the both of us."
Metal Man: "Really?"
Charles Magellean: "Oh yes. However, telling you would be telling the other part of you and... I'm not going to risk that. And I'm not talking about Tridus."
Metal Man: "You can trust me... heh."
Charles Magellean: "Oh I know I can trust you... it's the other parts of you that I don't trust. Imagination is bad if allowed to run wild.
I leave you, parting with that knowledge and coming to you later... I'm interested in the Arena."
Metal Man: "That, on the other hand, will be ready soon."
Charles Magellean goes to a room farthest from the new recruits, unloads his stuff, and smiles. "Just like before." He begins practicing new magic and abilities.
Mostly because I don't have descriptions, normal moves, or abilities selected yet.
That and you need a rest.
Metal Man (GM): It would be a normal day at HQ. Night. Not day.
Just a time to wander about... perhaps.
Anyone who actually made their way to the arena might notice a single spotlight waiting on.
Aribar would be sleeping in his room. Which is hopefully what the player of Aribar will get to do soon.
Charles Magellean is checking locations of people with the dex. He seeing something a bit odd in the Arena, he goes there.
Julian Sawyer: .oO(Maybe he got word an' he's waitin' in the arena fo' me...'cause I can't find 'em anywhere else...) *heads to the arena as well.*
Charles Magellean arrives at one entrance. He closes the dex, looking to the single spotlight.
Dragoshi is currently in the kitchen, making a midnight snack. ...He then gets bored and takes his snack (Ham and turkey sandwich) with him, while wandering the halls.
Julian Sawyer stomps into the Arena, briefly glancing around before noticing the spotlight in the middle. Doesn't seem like he's seen Charles yet...
The Wraith would just keep wandering about... The arena doesn't seem to interest it much if it's not directly involved in the battle. It does notice the commotion and several Questers heading that way, so it decides to look in from time to time...
Dragoshi apparently loses his way, and somehow wanders into the arena's audience seats. He then takes a bite out of his sandwich. "...Huh." Takes a seat.
Metal Man wanders out from the shadows.
Julian Sawyer: *Notices everyone showing up* "...'Sere some kinda secret meetin' I didn't know about?"
Garrick Fy`aar is himself traveling to that series of ruins in the north...
Metal Man: "Secret? No... not at all."
Dragoshi takes a bite out of his sandwich."...I just got lost. So, no."
Charles Magellean approaches the Arena's base.
Julian Sawyer: "So what's with the spotlight... CHARLES! I got a challenge for you!" *Heads to the Arena base also.*
Charles Magellean: "Enlighten us as to why you're here then."
Metal Man: "Well, I was interested in fighting some people."
Julian Sawyer: "You gonna hafta hol' on then. I got a score to settle with Moon Man over here."
Charles Magellean: "There is nothing to settle here, Mr. Sawyer."
Julian Sawyer: "You deserted, so I'm gonna kick yo' -CENSORED-."
Metal Man: "...He isn't much of a deserter if he's in the heart of our headquarters unarmed."
Charles Magellean: "I did not desert. If you recall, I left to tend to unfinished business. The Star Rod is back in Star Haven and those killed by Kuja have been revived."
Dragoshi: "...He's actually got a point there. " *Takes another bite out of his sandwich.*
Metal Man: "Zio is back? Ahhhhh!!!"
Charles Magellean: "My unfinished business is now finished, sir, so if you will---"
*He waves his finger and shakes his head.*
Dragoshi: "...What the crap, man?" *Looks at Metal.*
Charles Magellean: "Those he killed on The Moon, Illian."
Metal Man: "Well. He was at least partially killed by Kuja here. ...Without that qualifier, it'd be a very real possibility."
Julian Sawyer: "..." *Facepalm* "I don' care, you still left. Now you be a man or not? Or Lunarian or what the hell ever you are."
Charles Magellean: "My business is here and now, and you sir are not yet in a state of mind to fight me yet."
Dragoshi facepalms, being careful not to ruin his sandwich.
Charles Magellean: "Regardless of how I know you have the advantage."
Julian Sawyer: "What the hell you MEAN I ain't in a state o' mind to fight you?"
Dragoshi: "...He has a state of mind?"
Charles Magellean clears his throat loudly. "Do not piss off the New Yorker."
Sky High: *Wanders in on the arena* "Wow... this looks like a fight here!"
Julian Sawyer: *Points at Dragoshi without lookin' at him* "You shut the hell up' fore I come in those stands an' force that sandwich in the wrong end!"
Charles Magellean: "Metal, did you have someone in particular you wanted to fight?"
Sky High: "Let's see... the usual suspects... eye-poking man... crazy man... fist man..."
The Wraith just about falls out of the air at the sight of SkyHigh.
Sky High: "Yup." *Sits in the stands and eats some aspirin.*
Charles Magellean: "...I thought he left to be a bounty hunter."
Dragoshi finishes the sandwich "...Mreh."
Metal Man: "He tripped on a rock on the way out of the door."
Julian Sawyer: "You think a lot o' things. Most o' the time you wrong."
Metal Man: "That was after he said something about Aetos looking for trouble."
Julian Sawyer: "...WHAT?"
Metal Man: "I wished to fight you, Charles. Or perhaps you, Julian. Just somebody. I'm rusty, I'm old, and I need the experience."
Charles Magellean: "Ah yes. The TRUE traitor."
Julian Sawyer: "What's the word on him?"
Charles Magellean: "Slithering."
Sky High: "Ah! Aetos... uhh... he's out for something trickery!"
Charles Magellean: "That's my word on the traitorous man."
Julian Sawyer: "...So you know where he is?"
Charles Magellean: "I don't." *Looks to Metal.*
Metal Man: "..." *Leans over, points at Skyhigh.*
Sky High: "Somewhere up in da mountains! ...He went towards Valhalla domain."
Charles Magellean: "Despite that you are 'geriatric', as you call yourself, I recall that you were on par with Shadow last time I knew."
The Wraith opens up its dex, and takes a look... Would it be able to get a view/audio of the arena through the dex?
Charles Magellean: "Good man. Thanks for the info."
Metal Man (GM): Wraith: Yes... even a connection to the computer.
Charles Magellean: "Now seeing as I'm not a match for Shadow, I am not a match for you."
Metal Man: "Hmmm... I guess so."
Julian Sawyer: "Hmm... Charles, you sign the contract?"
Charles Magellean: "No. Which reminds me, I will have to contact the Mages Council."
The Wraith smiles and backs out of the arena stands... through a wall. It just begins wandering again, occasionally peeping in through the dex to see if anything particularly interesting has happened...
Metal Man takes out Vendetta and waves it around. "I reckon I took all the bugs out of it. The Void showed them who's boss."
Julian Sawyer: "...You GONNA sign it? Good man!" *Julian holds his hand up to catch it, should Metal throw it.*
Charles Magellean: "...Or, Metal can decide to wield it and fight you, instead."
Metal Man: "Not so fast... I want to see your so-called fighting abilities! Back in my day... I beat up the Gibby himself. Well, if I wanted to be cheap, yes, I could wield it. However, I don't know how to wield lightsabers."
Julian Sawyer: "Big deal. Gibby got thrown around in that fight I teamed with him."
Metal Man: "He's old like me. But maybe I'm not so old to be weak like he must be by now."
Dragoshi: .oO(...He quit.) >>
Julian Sawyer: "So I gotta fight you to get my weapon back?"
Dragoshi: .oO(...The fight, I mean. Must've been sleepy. Eh.)
Charles Magellean: "No, Julian."
Metal Man: "Sure. I'll give it to you one way or another... but only after a fight."
Julian Sawyer: "Then les' do it, old man! C'mon!"
Metal Man: "Just a moment."
Charles Magellean: "I would join with ya... but..."
*He turns around and walks away talking to Julian...*
Julian Sawyer: "But what? You a coward?"
Charles Magellean: "SOMEONE called me a turncoat. Besides, I'm sure that a lot of your abilities can put a dent or two inside Metal's armor."
*One cannot tell if he's being sarcastic or not.*
Julian Sawyer: "...So you a coward?"
Charles Magellean: "No. A person who admits he's weaker than a superior opponent."
*He sits down.*
"Good fight, though!" :)
Charles Magellean opens his dex to see if can make a---
"Aw shoot. Their closed."
Julian Sawyer: "Hmph. Whateva." *Turns his attention to Metal* "I'm waitin' Mets!"
Charles Magellean gets out his Ressikan flute.
"Now how did that one song go..."
Metal Man: "Sorry! I just need to calibrate this gyro!"
Charles Magellean: "Oh now I know. It's called 'GET ON WITH IT' !"
*He begins playing a hypnotic tune.*
Charles Magellean pauses.
"Well it's not REALLY called 'Get on With it' it's just my patience wears thin, but not as much as the guy down there with lack of respect for anything that doesn't fight."
*He continues playing it.*
Dragoshi: "...Okay, then."
Charles Magellean is done with playing the song.
"How did that one song go...
Something something... garden of vida..."
Julian Sawyer: "Still WAITING."
Charles Magellean: "Of course. It was called 'In-a-Gadda-Da-Vida'."
Metal Man: "Uhhh... one moment!"
Julian Sawyer: "You building a new seating section up there Mets?!"
Metal Man finally gets done. He discards a number of old, decayed gears and stands up, creaking a bit. "Not exactly."
Editor's Note: I see I was always having to make last minute changes as always.
Dragoshi: "...>>...<<..." *Dashes out of the arena to get another sandwich.*
Charles Magellean: "I was about to start playing that song."
Metal Man then walks into the battle arena. He adjusts something on his right hand.
"Well, it's just been several ages, you know. I sort of let you guys do all the fighting."
Dragoshi then dashes back into the arena, new sandwich in hand, and sits down.
Charles Magellean: "Lazy bones. Even the millennium Lunarians do magic fights once in a while."
Metal Man: "Well, I do feel pretty old... those ruins are 10,000 years old. But, yeah, I was lazy.
Now it's time to see if I can still beat down superior opponents."
Julian Sawyer: "Jus' take care o' you'self more often, hush up, and let's get this started."
Metal Man: "Of course I will."
Charles Magellean: "What the pugilist said."
Metal Man laughs a bit.
Metal Man (GM): ARENA BATTLE
Metal vs. Julian
Order: Julian, Metal
Charles Magellean: "...Your voice distorted for a moment."
Metal Man: "That is normal."
Charles Magellean: "Hell no it ain't."
Metal Man: "You speak in a strange language at times, too."
Charles Magellean: "I don't talk like The Void, though... happy trails!"
Metal Man chuckles. "I must have let that slip. Oh well. Gimme what you got, Juliano!"
Julian Sawyer slips a pair of brass knux onto his fists while Metal's talking with Charles, and sneaks a Brass Knuckle Shuffle into his face while he's distracted to start things off!
Dragoshi chuckles at the banter and takes a bite out of his sandwich. "...Heh."
Metal Man (GM): It pierces the armor, clearly dealing a lot of damage.
Charles Magellean: "Now that's an attack. That's one reason I won't fight him."
Metal Man: "I will fight anything."
Julian Sawyer: "Shows what you know!" *Julian backs off and starts jumping around, ready to dodge* "C'mon Mets! Show me what you got!"
Metal Man: "I take your punch... and give you a punch."
Charles Magellean: "A sluggish one, this one bets."
Metal Man's right hand electrifies, and then, using his magical energy, he goes to punch Julian in the face.
Julian Sawyer: *And Metal BARELY connects!*
Metal Man (GM): 55 electric damage.
Metal Man: "I must say... you are fast... but my luck... is impeccable."
Charles Magellean: "I am a betting man, but I did not bet anything that time."
Metal Man gambles and swings a slow punch at Julian.
He gives the air a slow punching.
Julian Sawyer: *And Julian wasn't prepared for that! He's sent flipping backwards, but lands on his feet! Julian shakes his head a bit, clearing it from that last punch* "Ah..." *But Julian sees THAT one coming and drops to the ground, ducking under it.*
Announcer: *Pops into the arena box* "Testing..."
Charles Magellean: "The suspense is killing me! Slow motion everywhere!"
Dragoshi: "...Yeah, seriously. Everywhere including nowhere."
Julian Sawyer rolls back to his feet, rearing back with his fist and shuffling around Metal to get him off balance, then unloads ANOTHER BKS into his face! Charged, no less!
Metal Man is hit again. He moves really slowly.
Dragoshi: "...Yeah. That's gonna hurt." *Takes a bite out of his sandwich.*
Metal Man is, again, smacked. He takes the blow with panache.
"Just like good old Ganondorf... but will it knock me out this time?"
Charles Magellean shows a grimace when Metal said that.
"Ganondorf... I'll be sure to give him what he owes."
Dragoshi: "...And, by what he owes, pretty much hell in a miniature handbasket, right?"
Charles Magellean: "That!...Is none of your concern, new recruit."
Metal Man: "Many a person would boo your repetition... but I offer you many a smack."
Charles Magellean: "Ya know, I'm pretty sure that if Metal wanted, he could step up his game plan and fight with an alternate strategy."
Metal Man walks up to Julian and rapidly smacks him around.
Metal Man (GM): 11 damage per hit... hit crit miss miss
11, 22, 0, 0
Charles Magellean snores loudly during Julian's attack phase.
Julian Sawyer: "Man, you guys fightin' in all this heavy armor don't offer me no other choice, here? 'Least while you got my sword." *Julian rolls with the smacks, then circles around Mets, Charges, and BLASTS him with yet another BKS, this time to the back of his head!*
Metal Man: "Perhaps I should build myself a small concrete wall to block the armor piercing knuckles you will use again."
*He is hit again.
He has been heavily damaged by the repetitive attack... he looks fairly bothered.*
Dragoshi chuckles. He then takes another bite out of his sandwich. ...And then snores.
Charles Magellean wakes up. "Oh, did Julian attack yet?"
The Wraith just smirks and shakes its head, looking at the battle through its dex as it drifts through a wall...
Dragoshi snaps awake. "Huh? Wha? Whatever. Prolly' did."
Metal Man: "I believe I shall win a political victory in this battle."
Charles Magellean smells... an unsent.
"I think I smell that ghost nearby..."
Julian Sawyer: "What, you think you can fight an -CENSORED- armored wall better?"
The Wraith: *Charles's Dex would beep...*
Metal Man: "Yes... I can. I have more than enough strength to overwhelm enemy armor."
Julian Sawyer: "Wasn't talkin' to you."
Charles Magellean opens his dex.
Dragoshi: "Oh, a ghost? That's prolly' The Wraith"
The Wraith: *A brief message appears on his dex.* 'Boo.'
Metal Man gambles again... he tries not 1, not 2, but 5 slow but powerful punches against his opponent.
He misses with all of them. "Go ahead... hit me again."
Dragoshi: "...Bleh. Too one sided." @_@
Charles Magellean has a vein throb on his forehead. That thing rarely comes out unless someone said the cactus's name.
He closes the dex, paying attention to Julian's tu---snore.
Julian Sawyer: "Like I said, not much I can do when I'm fightin' a -CENSORED- armored wall." *Insert move here.*
Metal Man (GM): *Is hit again.*
Charles Magellean wakes up. "Is it Metal's turn again?"
Dragoshi finishes his second sandwich, and dashes out to get ANOTHER sandwich.
Metal Man: "Oh yes... it is my turn... Oh dear... it appears I am losing. Allow me to miss you."
Dragoshi then dashes back in, but this time with a can of soda and a bag of chips.
Metal Man tries to hit Julian with some slow-moving hand-shot orange lightning.
Julian Sawyer: "Look Mets, you wanna call this off an' jus'-" *BBZT.*
Metal Man: "Huh?" *Zaps Julian for 26 damage, regaining 8 HP in the process.*
Charles Magellean: "I can say, without a shadow of a doubt, that I am now fully awake. I am hyper, I am prepared, I am read--"
Metal Man: "Nah... I think I'll keep on fighting."
Dragoshi: "...Huh." *Sip, crunch.*
Metal Man wanders up to the zapped Julian and tries to smack him upside the face.
Julian Sawyer gets smacked.
Charles Magellean: "I am ready. I can say that nothing can put me to sleep now."
Metal Man (GM): 24 damage as you're hit with a heavy metal glove.
Charles Magellean: "Absolutely---*Snore*."
Dragoshi: "...Bet he's wrong"
*To no one in particular* "...He shoots he scores." *Chuckles.*
Julian Sawyer: "...Hol' up." *Julian jumps up, activates his Rocket Boots, and heads into the stands where Charles and Dragoshi are.*
Metal Man: "Rocket boots? Oh... how original."
Dragoshi: "..." *Crunch, sip.*
Metal Man crosses his arms, waiting for an unavoidable punch to hit him.
Julian Sawyer floats over to Charles, Lands, places his boot near Charles' face, and activates up, launching a jet of fire into Charles face with Killer Kick!
Metal Man: "Hmm... it appears I have an opening."
Dragoshi chuckles at Charles' rude awakening.
Metal Man shoots lightning at Julian's back. AoO!
Dragoshi: *Crunch, sip*
"...Nice one, dude."
Charles Magellean snorts as he's woken up.
Julian Sawyer: *With his face on fire.*
Charles Magellean: "Huh, wha? What happened?"
Metal Man (GM): Charles would awaken to Julian shooting him with fire, then orange lightning hitting Julian from behind.
26 more damage from the AoO.
Dragoshi chuckles at Julian "...And that's why you shouldn't get distracted with the audience"
Julian Sawyer takes the lightning in stride, finishing the Killer Kick, then REGULAR kicks Charles in the face and jets back into the Ring.
Metal Man: "I must say... Gibby didn't give me a free opening."
Charles Magellean is kicked backwards from his current seat and into the seat above him.
Julian Sawyer: *And then he punches Metal in the face. Man, he can take a beating...*
Dragoshi: "Kirbies are smart like that."*Crunch, sip.*
Metal Man is hit in the face. Again. Without dying.
Charles Magellean: "Okay, okay! I'll stay awake. " *Snore.*
Dragoshi: "...Bad liar, huh? ...Or not."
Metal Man: "I've been watching the mission logs rather closely. In addition to your difficulty with armored opponents... you have had a problem with ethereal foes."
Charles Magellean seemingly miraculously, wakes up. "I swear, I don't know why I keep doing that."
Dragoshi: "...Narcolepsy, maybe?" *Shrug, sip, crunch.*
Metal Man: "I believe it is the most efficient way to battle if I use... all of my abilities.."
Charles Magellean: "No, I get enough sleep during the night---"
Dragoshi: "...Maybe you just think Julian's boring, then?"
Charles Magellean stops mid-sentence... he recognizes that voice...
Julian Sawyer: "...Metal... If you're gonna pull that Ethereal " ** *I'm gonna walk outta this battle right now. Ain't no point to fightin' an enemy I CAN'T HIT.*
Charles Magellean gets a little closer... climbing closer to the edge of the seats little by little.
Dragoshi: "...Huh. Didn't know that Metal had a spontaneous voice modulator."
Metal Man: "Nuh-uh. You want Vendetta."
The Wraith smirks as it sees this from the hall... Sure he can... He's just not very effective with it.
Metal Man dangles it around. "I feel all of my soldiers need their tests."
Charles Magellean: .oO(Of course he wants Vendetta. NO one wants to be hit from behind like lightning.)
Dragoshi: "..." *Edges in closer out of curiosity. Sip, crunch.*
Charles Magellean: "Metal, just use whatever ability it is so we can all rest up for tomorrow."
Metal Man spins it around, and then leisurely suddenly becomes incorporeal... not completely, no. How the heck could he do that? Rather it is an image of The Void projecting around Metal... and whom reacts in time to Metal's actions.
Charles Magellean: "..."
Metal Man: "You can still harm me. I'm only half corporeal, in all reality. But do you have the advantage anymore? Nope."
Charles Magellean: "Void."
Dragoshi: "...What an interesting turn of events." *Watches with curiosity. Crunch, sip.*
Metal Man turns to Charles. "You can fight me later, Lunarian. I'm busy right now."
Charles Magellean climbs out of the arena seats. He slowly walks up to the Arena.
Metal Man: "Now... have a taste of some more lightning."
Metal Man (GM): *Bzzapzzapzap* 26 damage again.
Charles Magellean stops at the foundation of the Arena.
Dragoshi clings his draconic talons to a part of the railing that's close to the arena's seats as if he were perching, and watches. He then finishes his chips and soda, and tosses them away.
Charles Magellean merely watches... though once in a while a faint hissing sound can be heard. He can only imagine the many ways of getting into the duel with the Nobody.
Metal Man: "I still cannot dodge, because we are still the same being, as much as Locos would like to consider mean enemy. Alone, The Void is a monster, but I am not separate anymore. This... is WHO I AM."
Julian Sawyer: "...Y'know what? **** THIS ****! Bad enough I gotta put up with being forced into one move, an' THEN you got the gall go to all Ghost on me! Nah, **** this! I don' need to keep fightin' people with an unfair advantage." *Julian goes to walk out... Then suddenly turns around, screaming in a rage, and tries to connect ANOTHER BKS to Meta-Void.*
Metal Man does this for no reason in particular, then is hit by another punch.
Dragoshi hears the words "This... is WHO I AM" "...Remind me to smack him for that line..."
.oO(Seriously. He pulled a frikkin' Shadow.)
Editor's Note: I would normally need to critique myself, but Dragoshi did it for me. Excellent!
Metal Man (GM): It still damages him... however, you feel a good portion of it going through him. Regardless, he breathes heavily.
Metal Man: "I am not going to go down without a fight... your anger is your weakness. See how near to defeat I am?"
Julian Sawyer , furious beyond words, just rears back, and delivers a CHARGED BKS to Meta-Void again.
Metal Man: "I wish to teach you how to fight against those who are unfair." *Is hit.*
Julian Sawyer: *CRIIIIIIITCAL!*
Charles Magellean: .oO(It may be who you are now, but somehow I will get our duel... only you and me alone, Void. Nobody, not even my Nobody, will tell me what to do in regards to my personal agenda.)
Dragoshi: "...That's going to hurt somewhat no matter how you slice it with a Zweihander"
Metal Man is knocked over... he falls backwards... then he stands right back up, despite the fact he's got cracks all up and down his face. He continues acting as if nothing happened.
Julian Sawyer: "...Oh come ON! STAY THE **** DOWN! I'M GETTIN' TIRED OF THIS!"
Metal Man: "Impressive... survive just a little longer and you shall get your sword. Refine your anger into strength instead of fear. Defeat... is nothing to run from, no matter which side you are on."
Dragoshi: "...He's got a point there"
Metal Man bows, then runs at Julian. "Behold, the power of anger. DIEEEE!!!!!!!!!."
Julian Sawyer miss HIT Miss miss HIT.
Metal Man (GM): *Miss* *hit* *miss* *Miss* *Hit* 24 damage per hit.
Metal Man: "See... how much I miss? It is a waste of perfectly good time."
Julian Sawyer's starting to look beat up himself "Jus' shut the -CENSORED- up and STAY DOWN!" *BKS.*
Metal Man (GM): *Hit again.*
Metal Man is hit again... his shoulder is shattered... but he continues standing.
Dragoshi: "...Anger will be his downfall. ...Or not. Flargh if I know."
Metal Man: "Pain is a sensation of the mind. Nothing I am not used to. Let the final judgment begin. The ultimate weapon... is to be in balance with your soul.."
*He attempts a last ditch electrical smack at Julian.*
Dragoshi: "...Of all the cliche-...My, HELL, how cliched can you-...And, it's right regardless of it being cliched. Bleh"
Metal Man misses... he attempts to catch him in a Super Punch.
Julian Sawyer miss 1 AND 2!
Metal Man punches a big hole in the ground.
Charles Magellean: "You realize that he will refuse to listen to what you tell him."
Julian Sawyer: "Heh. That freight train that hit you? That was me!" *BKS FTW PLZKDIE.*
Metal Man is knocked... 1 HP over. He stands there, still, and swings a punch at Julian. Inches from his face, it suddenly stops. The Void's external form sucks itself into his body, and he eats two Ultra Shrooms.
"You... have won. With the most unoriginal battle plan in all of history."
*He hurls Vendetta to Julian.*
Dragoshi: "...Damn straight. Then again, you were heavily armored, but that really doesn't qualify as an excuse"
Julian Sawyer: *Catch* "Maybe if you'd given me this EARLIER, we wouldn't be havin' this little problem"
Charles Magellean: "So, you have come this far and still you learn nothing."
Metal Man (GM): +375 EXP to Julian.
FMI, what is your level?
Julian Sawyer: "Look who's mother****in' talkin', Mr. Armor."
Dragoshi: "...What armor?" *Chuckles, seeing that he isn't in his armor, but instead a red and gray cloak with a dark grey t-shirt and blue jeans under it.*
Charles Magellean: "Just like a new recruit to be cocky."
Metal Man: "I used just about all of my abilities. My armor was entirely negated."
Julian Sawyer: "Tough Skin, what the *Censored* EVER. Mets, I could only use one move BECAUSE of your armor."
Charles Magellean: "I suppose... some are incapable of learning."
Metal Man: "It will be fixed, sooner or later."
Charles Magellean walks up the arena steps to metal.
"Would you know how to come into contact with the Council of Mages?"
Metal Man: "...No. They didn't leave me any contacts."
Charles Magellean: "I've violated at least two rules of the manifesto, one being of the rules of the mages, and they have not come for me."
Julian Sawyer: "So what's the problem?"
Charles Magellean: "I broke the fifth rule of Limitations on Magic and the eighth rule of Prohibitions on Magic and Technology."
Metal Man: "Where did you... 'violate' these rules? They can't really warp to your home realm."
Charles Magellean: "Allow me to be blunt."
Julian Sawyer: "...An'? It ain't a crime if you don't get caught."
Dragoshi: "You revived someone who was dead for over a year?"
Charles Magellean: "Three entities that have been dead for 10 years are alive again. The Moon was pushed through several dimensions and was pushed here."
Metal Man: "...Whoever was able to do that could probably blow up the Council like ants."
Dragoshi: "...Yeah. DEAD ants."
Charles Magellean: "As this is my new home now, and as I am a Lunarian, I am honor bound to live by the contracts."
Metal Man: "They generally don't challenge all-powerful entities who exist far, far away. At least, if that's what did it."
Julian Sawyer: "So you ain't in trouble. Case closed."
Charles Magellean: "I am the one responsible since I made a verbal agreement to allow them to do what they did."
Metal Man: "Well, you could always go on out and apologize, I guess."
Charles Magellean: "At least someone here is trying to understand the ways of another person. I will see what I can do for--" *Yawn* tomorrow. I am sleepy... good night to you all."
" *He sniffs a couple times.* "And don't you dare come into my room, ghost. That is as off-limits like anything else in this building to Questers."
Julian Sawyer: "Sleep up. 'Cause tomorrow you gettin' in the ring with me so I can show you what I can do when I ain't up against someone in heave armor!"
The Wraith: *Charles' dex would beep again.*
Charles Magellean puts Garrick's dex on silent mode. He is not putting up with anything else tonight.
He opens the dex though... just to try to be courteous.
The Wraith: *A voice would come out this time, rather than text. It's a rather deep, distantly familiar voice.* "Don't worry about that, Locos... I leave people's rooms alone unless specifically invited."
Charles Magellean closes the dex. "So it's a ghost of my past as well. Well... that makes it all the more distrustful."
He goes to his room, and heads for bed.
Julian Sawyer: "You hear me? Tomorrow, in the ring, you gettin' your a kicked by me!" *Julian smacks Charles on the back of the head as Julian walks out and heads to his room.*
Dragoshi: "...Well, that was fun to watch."
The Wraith just snorts, amused in its own way by this cold reception... It just shrugs and continues roaming the halls, dex held open.
Metal Man: "I'll get him next time. Perhaps I should bring a bigger, sharper glove. With spikes. The important thing, though... is that I fought at all. Bleh."
Metal Man wobbles on out.
Dragoshi: *Stomach gurgles*"...Eh. One last snack wouldn't hurt before I hit the sack" *Goes off to make one last sandwich, then heads for his room.*
Charles Magellean: *Okay, so that's over. What's up for ...tomorrow?*
Metal Man (GM): Aetos and Mission.
I'm also going to have Metal fight yet more people and fine-tune the system.
How much HP does Julian have, at maximum?
Charles Magellean has the same max HP as well.
Metal Man (GM): Ok. *Adds 190 EXP to himself... a small amount, but it'll add up with all the losses*
Julian Sawyer: *Moral victories.*
Metal Man (GM): Yeah. That's it.
Editor's Note: To be honest, the best way to beat Julian would have probably been status effects. Somehow I don't think he would be able to heal those. Attempting to out-damage him with brute force (and not magic or technology) is a fool's errand.
