Super Smash Quest - Story - Chapter 283: Stalfos are the REAL Nukes, right?

Metal Man (GM): Thing... Aetos... thing.
Okay... so... Aetos is now heading towards HQ, from the far distances of the mountains?
*brings up a map and looks.*
Okay... walking down from Valhalla domain... you encounter a fork in the road.
Off to your left is Death Mountain. Dead ahead continues down into Hyrule Field and the assorted places in it.
Aetos halts at the fork, and brings out his spear to start talking to it. "Is there any civilization located on that mountain?"
Spear: "Beep. Gorons live in that mountain. Beep. It is also the site of ruins of the former Quester Hunters. Nothing of interest."
Aetos: "You think they might need help with anything?"
Spear: "There are no missions in the area detected in the system. No."
Aetos blinks. .oO(I shoulda thought twice before integrating my dex and spear... people might think this is pretty weird.)
"Thanks."
*He puts his spear away and continues toward Hyrule field.*
Metal Man (GM): You walk on down the path. Obviously, there's no point in GMing the whole walking without problems part.
You're now down in the field; there's a path off to your left that leads into Kokiri forest.
Aetos scratches his head. "I read somewhere that's where Aribar used to live..."
Spear: "...A long, long time ago."
Aetos: "Maybe we should go check it out. Might be interesting to see." *he heads down to Kokiri Forest for a detour.*
Metal Man (GM): You go to the forest; trees are everywhere, and so are little houses.

Aetos: "At least they aren't pin-- *Sees Saria's if it's there*"
Metal Man (GM): You make your way to Saria's. The door is closed, but unlocked.
Aetos knocks on it. "I've heard of this girl..."
Metal Man (GM): The door unlocks; an Adult Saria looks at you.
Aetos: "Hello!..."
Saria: "...To what do I owe the pleasure of meeting you?"
Aetos: "I've just been wandering around for a while now... I was wondering... did you know an elf named Aribar?"
Metal Man (GM): She's dressed in all green, and appears to be pretty average. What is unusual is that she's at her house.
Saria: *frowns a bit* "...I never quite met him, but he came in and destroyed the harmony of the forest long ago."
Aetos: "Oh my... Well, uh... Is his old home still around here?"
Saria: "Home?" *she giggles* "He never really had one... he momentarily lived in Link's old treehouse."
Aetos looks around for a house that is actually in a tree.
Metal Man (GM): You see one. It looks rather old and unused.
Aetos: "Mind if I go have a look around?"
Saria: "You may look, but it's pretty empty. Link lives in the city, and Aribar... I don't know what happened to him."
Aetos nods and bows to her, then leaves to Link's old treehouse.
Metal Man (GM): The treehouse itself is free to entry; it doesn't even have a door.
A short climb up a wooden ladder leads you into a one-room treehouse.
Aetos climbs up and walks inside.
Metal Man (GM): It has some brief lists of Link's accomplishments... he's smashed over a billion Skulltulas.
He really must hate spiders.
Aetos snickers.
Metal Man (GM): Nothing else is in here, save for a wooden bed that looks uncomfortable.
Aetos: "Why one would record that is a mystery... nonetheless... Show me some evidence of Aribar's dark side." *he turns some nods on a small box duct-taped to his spear... activating the item finder.*
Metal Man (GM): It beeps a bit, but oddly.
Spear: "Dark World objects detected. Nothing that can be accessed on this plane."
Aetos: "Hmm... I wonder how I could get to the Dark World."
Spear: "Instabilities magnified by devices only Ganondorf appears to own. None in the area. Saria is likely to be monitoring the area."
Aetos lightbulbs. "Back to Saria!"
He charges out the door and jumps off the treehouse balcony
He would then move on back to Saria's...
Metal Man (GM): You walk back, and see Saria watching you.
Saria: "It looks like you're missing something... did that Aribar steal something?"
Aetos: "Somewhat..."
Saria: "Well, none of his belongings are here... I'm not sure what would concern you with him, either."
Aetos: "That isn't much of the case right now though... but I did find something peculiar. An object was sealed away inside the dark world of Link's treehouse. Do you have the ability to send me there?"
Metal Man (GM): Saria frowns again. "Send you... THERE? I wouldn't do so even if I could... that's such an awful place. It's my duty to prevent anyone from going there."
Aetos snickers. "Can't be as bad as the X-zone... but then again, I've never been to the Darkworld. Why is it so bad?"
Saria: "...Ganondorf rules that realm. People are killed... turned into monsters... brainwashed there. Moving between it increases his ability to affect this world! Do you not have any conscience?"
Aetos: "That does sound bad... but Ganondorf is such a weakling! I've beat him at least 5 times in the holotomb..."
Saria: "...He has had many years to train. It is not so much him but his realm... if he can escape back into our world, many people's lives are at stake."
Aetos scratches his chin. "I see... I would offer you my services to stop him... but without the Questers, I probably wouldn't be much of a match for him."
Saria: "You could always help them. All I ask is that you leave that realm alone... it is like poison."
Aetos nods. "That's fair enough. Hey Saria, do you know of anyone who might be in distress at the moment? I've been searching for someone who might need my help... but ever since we killed Kuja, everything went calm."
Saria: "The Questers deal with that these days... between them and the now dispersed Smashers, there is very little."
Aetos: "Hmm... Do you think you could help me?"
Saria: "I can help in some ways, as a Sage, but my powers cannot reverse everything."
Aetos: "Would you be able to... disguise me?"
Metal Man (GM): Saria narrows her brows. "For what reason?"
Aetos: "A covert operation. I wish to find out what the Questers are doing these days... but... I don't want them to be able to know it's me."
Saria: "...I will not participate in such devious actions. If there is something you need to go, you should ask them yourself."
Aetos takes his helmet off to get some air.
"Saria, one last thing... if you need any assistance with something, you think you could contact me through this radio here? " *Points to radio communicator in helmet.*
Saria: "...I am able to use magic to contact you, yes."
Aetos nods. "You can trust me, don't worry... I've been around the universe saving people from bad guys."
Saria: .oO(I really should lock my door more often.)
Aetos pulls out his giant-sized key weapon.
"I think I need to go and beat up some darkness. Any idea where I can find some?
Since of course... you seem to be keeping tabs on it."
Saria: "Uhhh... yes. Darkness." She points up a path which leads into the woods. "Right in there."
Aetos: "...The lost woods?"
Saria: "It's filled with nasty wolves."
Aetos nods. "Thank you. Good luck on defending this region, miss."
He starts off up the path.
Saria: "You too." *Wanders inside and locks the door. Then sticks a table against it and goes back to reading some ancient magic book.*
Metal Man (GM): You wander up to the entrance. It looks... interesting. You'd have to walk inside to get a better look.
Aetos tilts his head and walks in.
He fixes his helmet back on his head, first.
Metal Man (GM): You realize soon why she directed you here.
Upon entering, you find yourself lost.
Aetos: "...Great."
Metal Man (GM): There's openings which go in all four directions, but they definitely don't go in any logical order.
Aetos listens for music.
He shrugs and takes the west path.
Metal Man (GM): You hear music about, but no one direction.
You wind up in an identical forest area.
Aetos goes north.
Metal Man (GM): Another identical forest area.
Aetos: *East*
"Wolves shmolves..."
Metal Man (GM): You continue wandering.
Aetos makes One-Winged Angel vanish in a shimmer of light. "Never go on a nature trail without mapping technology..."
He slides Talon from behind his back, and flips open a terminal.
"Could you show me a map of The Lost woods?"
Metal Man (GM): You see an image of the entire forest. It appears to be changing faster than you can think a pathway to escape.
Aetos: "It's like it's alive..."
*He looks for spots in the woods that might be interesting... only to see what general direction they are from him.*
Metal Man (GM): It appears to be a bunch of randomly changing things. You can't seem to find any way to the interesting stuff on the outside.
Aetos: "I think I'll just have to keep going... lost or not, there is always a finish line as long as you don't give up..."
*He continues south.*
Metal Man (GM): You continue moving around, lost in the maze.
Aetos goes east.
"I wonder if any items are scattered about..." *Turns on his item finder and keeps it on.*
Metal Man (GM): You soon arrive in a strange area with what appears to be a small, round object embedded in the ground.
Talon beeps at it.
Aetos walks up to it.
"Wonder what this is."
Metal Man (GM): Talon: "Unknown. Unknown."
You could try to dig it out.
Aetos wonders for a second, then places his hand on it.
Metal Man (GM): It feels cold, and somewhat ceramic. The surface is blue.
Aetos starts trying to lift it up.
Metal Man (GM): You pull it out... it has a face... in fact... it's a machine of some kind.
Aetos: "Woah!"
Metal Man (GM): It has a weird Greek letter on it... and, almost as if activated by the touch, its eyes light up.
Kappa: "Unit Kappa activated. Scanning surroundings... unknown hostile detected. Must find Gerald Robotnik. Must find Gerald Robotnik." *It leaps out of the ground.* "You are an unknown hostile. State your purpose."
Aetos: "My purpose is to save people... and... machines like you. Gerald though..."
Kappa: "Save? I am in perfect operating condition. I must find Gerald Robotnik." *It runs scanners about the area.* "This place is actively attempting to deny me escape, as it has done before."
Aetos: "I could... help you out, and help you search for Gerald, if you'd let me? As a machine, you should know that there is strength in numbers."
Metal Man (GM): Kappa scans you.
Kappa: "You appear to possess some desirable attacks. I should beat them out of you." It gets into a combat stance, which reminds you of... Gibby... Garrick... Deloth... and Wolfman's mixed together.
Aetos: "Desirable attacks... Why beat them out of me? Only I know where Gerald Robotnik is... and if you harm me, you will not know."
Kappa: "I am designed to destroy all Questers. You are a Quester. You must be destroyed."
Aetos: "A Quester? A Quester wouldn't be allowed to control the powers of the X-zone."
Metal Man (GM): Kappa scans the area.
Kappa: "The X-zone is dead. You are powerless."
Aetos shakes his head. "It's dead... but it's not gone."
Kappa: "You are not gone either. You must be exterminated."
Aetos: "Besides... I could help you take on the Questers... there are a few of them I'd like to hurt from time to time..."
Kappa: "You are a Quester. You must be destroyed."
BATTLE
Aetos rolls his eyes.
Metal Man (GM): Aetos vs. Kappa
INIT?
Kappa: "Prepare to be destroyed. you are a weak flesh being."
Metal Man (GM): Aetos, Kappa
Aetos stands there and defends. "I'm not going to hurt you. I'd still rather help you."
Kappa: "You shall die without fighting. Target locked." *It winds up a fist, looking like VG. Then it attempts to punch you.*
Metal Man (GM): CRIT! Also... what is your AC?
The punch is powerful; it deals a heavy 56 damage.
Kappa: "You shall be dead soon."
Aetos: "Not even. I used to be the most enduring Quester... back when I was WITH them."
*He uses this time to defend once more.*
Kappa: "I am the only surviving killing machine made by Gerald. You are inefficient and pathetic. Slice attack engaged."
Aetos: "Speak for yourself. I SAVED you!"
Metal Man (GM): His right hand morphs into a sword and he looks a little like Del as he viciously slashes at you.
20 damage per hit.
Aetos: "And you'll never get out of these woods while Saria is in control... ow"
*He is pushed back a bit.*
Kappa: "Then neither shall you. I can wait thousands of years... she cannot. You will be destroyed for defying Gerald Robotnik."
Aetos: "Defying him? I SAVED HIM too!"
*He looks through his dex to try and find a recording of Gerald's last appearance.*
Kappa: "You are delusional."
Aetos: "Just give me a minute and I can show you."
Metal Man (GM): You look through and see an image of Gerald choosing to fight Zorn and Thorn, saving the Questers.
Aetos flips the screen around so Kappa can see. "See? There's me Points to him and the Questers being shielded by Gerald and there's Gerald, and Zorn and Thorn trying to beat him up."
Kappa: "Scanning resource device." *He scans it, and then suddenly alters his tone.* "...You have defied the last directive of Gerald Robotnik. Everything must be destroyed. Starting with you."
Aetos sighs. "Is there ANYTHING I can do to earn your trust?"
Kappa: "Die."
Aetos: "Alternatives?"
Talon: "This is one of Gerald's destruction robots. It knows nothing but how to kill. It was a lucky shot that it was temporarily made friendly for a very short time. This time, it appears hardwired, possibly a fail-safe by the mad, dead doctor himself to ensure total destruction."
Kappa: "Executing final directive."
Aetos: "Great, I just wish I could point it in front of me, instead of at me."
Metal Man (GM): It fires a beam at you. AGI check.
Aetos attempts diving away.
Metal Man (GM): It hits you dead on. It steals a whopping 130 HP from you and fully heals itself.
Kappa: "You are a weak lifeform. Like all of them, destruction is imminent."
Aetos holds his plate mail where the energy seeped through it. "Guh... You know... you aren't as strong as The Thirteen Gentlemen Robots, anyways. I could probably dismantle you."
Kappa: "I can acquire the attributes of stronger enemies and add them together. My current attributes outweigh yours."
Aetos: "But I'd like to watch you play around first." *He starts leaving to the south... if there is a south.*
Kappa: "Anything you use which gives you the upper hand will be reverse engineered."
You leave to the south. He appears to vanish.
Aetos: "I hope he can get out of here without my help."
Metal Man (GM): Kappa rips a hole in the wall behind you with a copy M150.
He walks through it.
Kappa: "I will ensure you do not escape alive."
Aetos: "I would like to ensure you do... but you're making it difficult."
Kappa: "You will be destroyed."
Aetos: "You will not be destroyed."
Kappa: "All the better. Then I can destroy the rest of the world after you. I am a robot from the past sent to destroy the future."
Aetos: "I'd like that... just without the whole... destroying me portion."
Kappa: "All must be destroyed."
Aetos: "Including yourself?"
Kappa: "With the rest of the world, yes. It is his demands that you are destroyed. Your speech is useless. You will be eliminated now."
Aetos: "If it was his demands for me to be destroyed, than he wouldn't have saved us from Kuja and his men."
Kappa: "His intent was for you to destroy Kuja, and his virus would destroy everything else. The Void's intervention was not expected. I will undo his intervention."
Aetos: "...You have something against The Void?"
Kappa: "The Void saved the world. He is the only reason we are having this discussion. Now. Begone."
Aetos: "The void did not save the world. The Void was going to destroy it to eliminate Kuja."
Metal Man (GM): He tries to stab you some more with Deloth's attack.
20 damage per hit.
Aetos growls.
Kappa: "By sending it into the X-zone, he nulled the virus. When he was defeated, the end of the X-zone undid the damage Gerald intended to fatally destroy all order in the realm."
Aetos holds up his hand and shoots a jet of wind toward Kappa, and maybe with an X-zone check, it might have a bit of chaos wrapping around it? ... "Just go and kill things SOMEWHERE ELSE!"
Metal Man (GM): Roll for it.
Kappa: "You are my first target. The only loyal being to The Void."
He sidesteps it.
"That footage you showed me was encoded with Gerald's last directive. You could have escaped had you not shown me it. Now that you know he had a last directive and that I live, you must be killed. I will deal with the forest later."
Aetos: "That's awesome. I don't want to escape. I WANT to help you." *End of turn.*
Kappa: "Then allow me to destroy you."
He takes out a deck of cards and shoots them at you.
Metal Man (GM): Hit?
39 damage.
Aetos: "Know your opponent, be your opponent... figure out how to get your opponent to leave you alone." *Scans Kappa.*
Talon: "Ding! ...Transmission blocked."
Kappa: "I made myself immune to scan dex beams while you were talking."
Aetos: "Clever."
*He doesn't do anything. End of turn.*
Kappa: "You have a lot of endurance for a pacifist wimp."
He fires a wave of psychic energy at you. MNT check.
Aetos: "It's what I trained myself for..."
Metal Man (GM): 110 damage.
Kappa: "You are an inefficient AND irrational opponent. Destroying you will do a service to more than Gerald."
Aetos growls... freaking out on the ground. "AGGHH!"
Kappa: "The perfect opportunity to continue attacking."
Metal Man (GM): He walks over and starts trying to viciously stab you, Del style.
20 damage per hit... ow... a crit.
29 isn't a crit.
Aetos stops moving... that hurt him bad...
Kappa: "I haven't even needed to scan your abilities to defeat you... pathetic."
Aetos is still... on the ground... blah.
Metal Man (GM): Kappa opens fire on the corpse.
4 damage each, pierces DR.
Wolfman: .oO(...why can't I get through to the old HQ? Is the old HQ even AROUND?!?)
Metal Man (GM): Garrick would encounter the scene of Kappa mercilessly attacking Aetos's corpse. Or body. Whatever it is.
Wolfman would also encounter the same area.
Wolfman wanders around instead, trying to make sense of things... and soon encounters...
Aetos might note his body is in a mysterious black iron plate mail... and his helmet shields his face...
Garrick Fy`aar woosh woosh woosh WOOSH WOOSH SLAM!
Kappa: "Two more targets to destroy."
Wolfman: (quietly) "What has gone on here...?"
*He has become spotted now... figures.*
Garrick Fy`aar: *The sparking and glowing orange plasma axe would land into the ground, the cloaked body of a man leaped down beside it and wrenching it out of the ground...*
Metal Man (GM): Kappa kicks Aetos's corpse twice, smacks it again, and then turns to face Wolf... and Garrick.
Wolfman turns to Garrick.
Kappa: "I will now turn both of you into corpses." He walks towards both of them.
Aetos turns his head toward them .oO(Someone came, awesome... I should fake dead a bit longer...)
Wolfman: "...think we should just run instead?"
Kappa: "State your purpose."
Garrick Fy`aar: "We should at least get his attention..."
Wolfman: "I am trying to fix a communications unit on me."
Aetos slowly lifts his hand up and gives them an "OK' sign."
Wolfman: "I heard something going on here, and was curious."
Garrick Fy`aar: "I'll help you with that. Right now, let's deal with this sucker. Shall we?"
Wolfman: *I'm now a four legger*
"...I'd prefer not to fight. I'm still a bit weak."
Garrick Fy`aar: "Then give me some cover..."
Wolfman gets a look at this creature, and wonders what is going on.
"...who are you anyway?"
*He is currently waiting for a response from who Garrick thinks is the current enemy.*
Garrick Fy`aar: "That... is Kappa. Be wary of him... he's known to scan your powers and make them his own..."
Kappa: "You must be destroyed. Unit Aetos has revealed to me that the final plan must be carried out. Prepare to die."
Garrick Fy`aar slowly dropped back into a stance... Aetos MIGHT notice it, if he pays attention...
Wolfman: .oO(And I thought I was the Maverick...)
*He gets in a defensive stance... well, as good as one can get with 4 legs. (AGI is 24 if that matters)*
Garrick Fy`aar: "Well then, if you plan on destroying me... then I suppose I'll have to defend myself..."
Kappa: "Excellent. Show me how you have become stronger so I can use it."
BATTLE, Part 2
Wolf & Garrick vs. Kappa
Garrick Fy`aar tosses the heavy case off to the side. It lands with a loud SLAM as he spreads his legs wider...
Aetos slowly picks himself up... but his armor could be causing noises.
Wolfman: .oO(Hmm... did he give a subtle hint? Best not to think too much.)
Metal Man (GM): Order: Wolf, Garrick, Kappa
Aetos starts to tip-toe away
He stops.
Wolfman decides to start things off simple... (more)
.oO(When in doubt, get them off their feet.) *goes to the enemy robot and does a Tail Whip (sweep style attack), not smashing.*
Aetos recalls Saria's words... and turns around. "I hate having a conscience... it's so dangerous."
Metal Man (GM): He sits there as you 'sweep' the ground.
Aetos joins the fight. "I decided I'd rather help these two than help someone who will just keep trying to kill me."
Kappa: "What? He's still alive? I must ensure he stays dead this time."
Aetos: "Please, a Quester never dies." *he rolls his eyes behind his helmet.*
Garrick Fy`aar glances at the armored fellow, thinks... then snorts...
Wolfman defends his remaining 2 TP then.
Garrick Fy`aar: "Quester... pfft..."
Wolfman: "...Questers... they are still around?"
Aetos: "What, you have something against Questers? Maybe I shouldn't be helping you after all."
Garrick Fy`aar: "You're as far from a Quester as I can think of..."
Editor's Note: Normally, I violently disagree with everything Garrick says. This however is one of the few times I agree.
Wolfman: "Guys, cool it. Right now, we're stuck facing a robot that wants us obliterated.
We'll settle things after this."
Garrick Fy`aar: "Well then, I'll take care of that."
*He charges the robot, his hands and feet flashing as he pulls off a series of jabs, a roundhouse kick, and a powerful heel drop.*
Metal Man (GM): Hit, hit, miss, hit.
Kappa: "Impressive... taste some stabbing."
He runs up and starts stabbing at Garrick like an axe murderer.
20 damage per hit... ouch... a crit.
Garrick Fy`aar gets stabbed by the first three before a large flip pulls him out of the way of the final three.
Aetos points his spear at Garrick and scans him. .oO(He knows me... but who is he?)
Smash Dex: "...Unknown target."
Aetos waves his hand at Kappa like a fan and a couple thin lines of wind pierce at him.
Metal Man (GM): He dodges one, then is hit by another.
Wolfman doesn't want to reveal all of his cards yet still... instead of tail whipping this time, he goes for a Tackle attack against Kappa smashing 1 extra TP, then defends again.
Metal Man (GM): You tackle a tumbleweed.
Bad dice luck for everybody!
Wolfman: .oO(Okay, need to get use to fighting again.)
Garrick Fy`aar jukes around to the side and goes to strike into him again. (How much is a special again? 3?
He moves right into his face and sends out a FLURRY of rapid fire kicks, his foot speeding like a bullet.
Wolfman nods in approval of that attack.
Metal Man (GM): How many uses of machinegun?
Kappa takes his turn... to shoot a weird beam at Aetos. AGI check, Aetos.
Aetos: "Ugh, not again..."
Metal Man (GM): You lose 90 HP. Kappa is fully healed.
Aetos's armor heats up in the spot he was hit.
Kappa: "Fighting is futile."
Wolfman turns to the one who just got hurt.
*Quietly* "If you need to get out of here, I can get you out."
Aetos kneels down and holds the wounded area. "No... I've been trying to make it my duty to save whoever and whatever I can... I want to be a hero, and this is my chance to start."
Wolfman: "...sounds more like you are looking for trouble."
Aetos stands with his spear out, it glows bright "Chaos Spear!" and a wave of chaos energy in the shape of an eagle soars out toward Kappa.
Metal Man (GM): He's hit, but he gets up, as usual.
Aetos: "Is that so wrong?"
Wolfman: "I'd pick battles carefully. This is a strong opponent. And I mean no offense... but we could use backup."
*He attempts to send a distress signal from his Radio built-in to the armor... but he's unsure if it will get through.*
Aetos: "What do you mean?..."
Kappa: "You need to back up... into many pieces."
You send the signal. -1 TP. Anything else?
Wolfman defends again, wasting 1 TP.
Metal Man (GM): Kappa stabs at Aetos again.
20 damage per hit.
Aetos: "I'm sick of pretended to be hurt." *he stands there as the blade hits him.*
Metal Man (GM): Wolfman FINALLY gets an answer. It's from Metal.
Wolfman: .oO(About bloody time)
Metal Man: *R* "Wolfman! That's... Kappa... you should run. Really. The forest can hold him. Think of your own life! The HQ is just down the path from here."
Wolfman: *To radio* "Glad to hear from you again. I'll make my way out as soon as I can."
*He turns to Aetos, even though he doesn't fully recall him. to Aetos (more)*
"We should head out you know.
I can give you a lift."
Aetos: "I've tried that before. He can follow you wherever you go..."
Wolfman: "It's a chance worth taking... this isn't a fight we should be in."
*He gets in a more... relaxed position: there is room for a creature to be on him easily.*
Aetos sighs. "I don't like to run..."
He runs over to Wolf and mounts him ...
"But you are right."
Wolfman feels the added weight... but it's not much.
"We'll be leaving now."
*He runs outside of the woods... or at least, outside of Kappa's vision hopefully, with Aetos on him.*
Metal Man (GM): You run... leaving Garrick there. *PAUSE*
+100 EXP to Aetos.
It'll be his whole part... I gotta leave pretty soon, after all.
Charles Magellean (OOC): Will you be back?
Metal Man (GM): In about an hour.
Wolfman hopes the other armored one will be okay... he seemed a little exhausted after that mega kick attack. .oO(...how much has changed since I was gone from this realm?)
Garrick Fy`aar hides behind a nearby tree with his armor thing in hand, sighing gently as he's now alone again...
He reaches into his pocket, searching for his multi-tool... (it's your call, Metal. Broken, lost, there, what?)

Charles Magellean stands still as the pebble unaltered by anything else. Looking at the other side again, his mind is divided into two. One is as calm as a sunny, non-cloudy day at sea. The other side rages wild, this being his imagination not under a leash. 1 hour, 30 minutes left.
"Achievement. I achieve to put away that which brings me down. I achieve to be better than my rival in battle. Here, in the hollowed halls of the Dark Arena, I shall rise to the next level. It is here... I will achieve victory... with honor!"
*He raises his hand out, extending his arm out. He does the* "Bring it on" action.
"Where is my first opponent? I cannot rise if I cannot battle. I await for you to come to me."

Editor's Note: To this day, I have no clue what these bars are. I only leave them in in logs where Aetos already showed up in, so he doesn't claim appearances where there are none, and in the hope some day we'll discover what they're for. Or don't, and it becomes a hilarious mystery nobody knows.
Metal Man wanders in, first a clanking in the distance, and then soon his full self. He looks and feels tougher after that first fight. "Hello."
Charles Magellean: "Do none accept the challenge in this battlefield?"
Metal Man: "Well, I'm up for a battle, even though the CAL is less than ready. I can still fight."
Charles Magellean: "I'm... sure that I've filled out the proper paperwork to be a combatant. This must be a test."
*He waves one arm in a clockwise motion, the other counterclockwise. One hand looks like is ready to slash, the other one ready to slash but under the first one.*
Metal Man walks on into the battle arena. "Let's see what you can do."
Metal Man (GM): BATTLE
Charles vs. Illian
Init?
It's time to dust off an old coconut.
Metal Man: "Show me what a real fighter can do... that Julian is nothing but a faker."
Charles Magellean: "The time for conversation is over. We battle. May he who is victorious win with honor!"
*He starts by lifting one hand and moving it slowly. He makes it look its locking on...*
Metal Man is too slow to dodge that.
Charles Magellean: "Behold what I have taught myself to do." *He begins to draw closer to Metal, slowly lifting him up into the air. He moves his hand slowly, and Metal copies its same movements. He draws it back. Metal comes closer to Charles. Charles shows a sadistic smile, and he FLINGS Metal to one of the Arena walls... or the floor. (Whichever is closer.) 34 damage, Throw is in the move.*
Metal Man absorbs 90% of the initial damage, taking an extra 15 due to his armor.
"Let's see what you can do against this!" *He takes out the Deathmachine, and opens fire at Locos.*
Metal Man (GM): Yeouch.
A saber laser, then a wave of psychic energy, then another saber laser hits you.
23 damage which ignores 10 DR, 46 damage, and another 23 damage which ignores 10 DR.
Charles Magellean is knocked off guard by the saber. The wave cuts into his body, and the other saber creates a semi-large gash on his left part of the body.
"I can do nothing at this far a range..."
*He lifts his right hand, and points it perpendicularly to Charles (So it's facing its own direction). Charles opens up a small portal that crackles electricity out of it. His body literally slides into the portal, Charles himself not moving at all.
He disappears. The portal closes.*
Metal Man: "Huh?"
Charles Magellean voice reverberates.
"Behold-d-d another technique-que-que of the mind-ind-ind."
*An open instantly opens to Metal's left. Charles has his fist already in a striking pose as he slides out of it.* "Peekaboo!"
Metal Man is... hit?
Charles Magellean shakes his fist as even though the blow hits Metal's head, 26 damage does not overcome Metal's DR.
Metal Man: "...Let's see..."
Charles Magellean goes into his original striking pose again.
Metal Man powers up his fist, and then goes to punch Charles with his heavy-metal fist.
Metal Man (GM): *BLAM* 57 damage.
Charles Magellean skids farther away than Metal's last attack. He creeks his neck.
Metal Man: "I must say, my armor does seem a tad unfair against you... but at least you are more brave than that coward with the brass knuckles."
Charles Magellean: "You gibber."
*He chants in Lunarian as he raises his hands over his head. He then thrusts his hands forward and yells.
* "REFLECT!" *Charles uses his magic to use the white magic spell Reflect up. A white barrier appears in front of Charles (like how it's cast in FFX) and then disappears.*
"You shall soon be next..."
Metal Man: "Hmmm... a barrier of some sort. What should I do... what should I do..."
*He defends.*
Charles Magellean points, with both hands, his index fingers at Metal. The tips of the fingers begin to glow.
"Double Barrage!" *Firing what would seem like two guns, his index fingers fire two lasers coming for Metal. (His hands would raise after shooting).*
Metal Man sits there as they bounce off, defends, aaand.
Charles Magellean: "Keep an opponent guessing... that's what separates dedicators from resourceful people."
*He slowly moves his hand again.*
Metal Man (GM): Hit.
Metal Man: "Indeed..."
Charles Magellean locks on to Metal again. Using Telekinesis, he lifts Metal up and Throws him again. 34 damage, plus whatever he comes in contact with.
"To see you defend against an attack is not commonly seen."
*He defends. End of Turn.*
Metal Man defends but is thrown around again.
"I am a far more random combatant."
*He walks right on up to the barrier, and then tries to slap Charles silly with a flurry of Super Punches.*
Charles Magellean is caught off guard by one punch... but... He grapples with Metal, blocking each of the other ones.
Metal Man (GM): 21 damage per hit.
Metal Man: "An excellent show of technique."
Charles Magellean: "You held back, though."
Metal Man: "Not really... what would I want to do but zap myself from your reflect?"
Charles Magellean casts Reflect on himself again. -6 SP, -3 TP.
He typed it after you said you didn't want to be zapped by your own attack.
He chants quickly. An orb floats around him.
"Eventually, I will get a name for this attack of mine. But it can still attack."
*He uses one hand to guide the ball. Like Telekinesis, it bobs back and forth as his hand does. He charges it to Illian.*
Metal Man is hit, then the damage bounces off.
"Well, about time to smash your barrier."
*He walks on up and punches it with a Terawatt punch.*
Charles Magellean: "Would you siphon some of my magical power, too? I have a buildup of that these days."
Metal Man (GM): 57 damage if that hits.
Metal Man: "I am afraid I am only able to steal health."
Charles Magellean's Reflect is broken.
He fist begins to glow.
He makes it glow a little brighter.
Metal Man: "That could be unhealthy for your fist. What if it spontaneously explodes?"
Charles Magellean: "It's merely... thirsty."
*He walks up to Metal, unleashing a great amount of power on him.*
Metal Man is hit twice.
Charles Magellean uses it in a way that feels like he's hitting with either two fists or using one fist twice!
*18 damage each. End of turn.
Strange. You were hit twice, but the fist only hit once.*
Metal Man: "And now... to hit you with a laser."
*He leisurely launches a beam of destruction at Charles.*
Metal Man (GM): 46 damage.
Charles Magellean becomes asploded by it. The beam shredded some of his clothing, he's beginning to slump.
Metal Man (GM): Umm... right

Charles Magellean: "If I had a weapon, I could display more. If I had completely finished my spells, I could show more. I am tapped out in moves... minus one more of course. I wish I could properly use it now... and I know when I am beat.
To continue like this would be pointless. I concede this fight to you." *He bows slowly.*
Metal Man: "Very well." *He bows back.*
Metal Man (GM): Current HP?

Aaand +500 for me. Otherwise it gets too small, eh.
Charles Magellean: "The fight is over... but I feel I must share it with you."
Metal Man: "?"
Charles Magellean uses the next minute to cast many a spell, a peekaboo, a reflect spell, another reflect spell, a telekinesis on a piece of rubble...
"It will take a moment to get it ready..."
*He casts a couple more Reflect spells, telekinesis, peekaboo, peekaboo, telekinesis...
He looks fatigued. He cast spells left and right.* "The point will be made..."
He waits a moment to recover...5 TP sounds good.
"Ready for a powerful strike?"
Metal Man: "If it can actually damage me I'll be impressed."
Charles Magellean: "It's a move you may be familiar with."
*He transforms his clothing for part of the attack. It's a cross between a mariachi music player and a monk. He also chants in strange Lunarian...

*He magically has a somewhat large boot on his right foot...
Metal Man (GM): Hit.
Charles Magellean: *The same thing happens like when the Master used Boot to the Head to Ed Grooperman and the rest of the students. For dramatic effect, you'd probably be sent flying into a wall.*
Metal Man is sent flying... but, in equally dramatic fashion, he peels himself out of the wall, wipes some plaster off of himself, and then goes back to the arena. "Neat attack, I guess. Much better than those lame brass knuckles."
Charles Magellean lands. The costume and the boot disappear.
"I was able to make this self-defense attack one of the rare Limit Breaks. That's why you felt such an impact.
It is appropriate in the sense that it is used when the life is threatened.
Had I actually used it in our fight, the playing field might have been... less one-sided."
Metal Man: "Indeed."
Charles Magellean: "I have been bested, yet I know that this fight was a test to prove my worthiness for the C.A. League. When will the fighters come to HQ for it?"
Metal Man looks at his wrist for no reason. "In a while."
Charles Magellean: "I want to help shorten that time. Fighting the Questers here; they do not fight like honored warriors."
Metal Man: "Yes... those days are dead. I shall yet defeat Julian, though."
Charles Magellean: "If only he and the new recruits were not so closed-minded. Please... tell me tomorrow if there is anything to shorten the time span of readying the C.A.L. Good night, Illian."
Metal Man: "Yessir. G'night." *Wanders off.*
Charles Magellean: "I believe I will stay here...15 more minutes." *He starts to gaze again.*
Metal Man (GM): (((((( The Big Room (Again) ))))))
Metal Man looks at the votes and stuff. "Tsk tsk tsk. I guess you'll have to split up today."
Dragoshi: "Eh. Sounds good."
Metal Man: "Aribar, Julian, Gibby. You'll be going first... the Gunicard situation only gets worse."
Gibby: "We'll get more done that way anyway."
Metal Man (GM): The scientist guy walks on in.
Julian Sawyer: "Stoppin' that nuke's should be our #1 priority."
Aribar: "Will do."
Gibby: "Right!"
??? "I have planned out your mission pretty thoroughly. If you are careful, this should work."
Julian Sawyer: "We on it, Mets."
Gibby: "We'll try our best."
Charles Magellean: "It is more efficient to multitask than be one big group. I fail to see why it hasn't been done before."
Dragoshi: "...Quite."
??? "You must go from Sector 1 and into the main area, then tell Gunicard you wish to load another cylinder."
Julian Sawyer: "'slong as we got a plan to follow, 'should be a piece of cake." *Listens.*
??? "Have him open up the Sector 2 silo for you. He will supply you with the nuke."
Aribar looks to Charles. The elf does a short hrm and wonders when the Lunarian returns. He looks back at the scientist and listens in on the plan.
??? "Go into the sector 2 silo and instead of putting the nuke in, use the exposed computer terminal to start the debugger. That should take care of his problems. Then we shall beam you and the nuke off of there."
Julian Sawyer: "Easy."
??? "Good luck."
Aribar: "Do you know of anything that would complicate the mission besides blundering up?"
Gibby: "But... will Gunicard fall for it that easily?"
??? "Gunicard is very tricky... be careful."
Metal Man (GM): The elevator is ready for the three on the Gunicard mission.
Julian Sawyer: "Jus' don't believe a damn thing it says that differs from the plan, and we should be fine."
*Elevator Action!*
Gibby nods. "Right! Wish us luck!" He makes his way into the elevator.
Aribar steps onto the elevator.
Metal Man (GM): You jump aboard... *WARP*
You fly through the white realm again... you see what looks like a businessman before you reappear aboard the Gaia Defense Station.
You're in the same sector again... however... things aren't as happy to see you as before.
...What brings you here again?
The green text appears.
Aribar: "We wish to load up another cylinder like last time."
Julian Sawyer: "We'd like to load another cylinder. Y'know, help out."
Gibby nods in agreement with them.
Metal Man (GM): ...Cylinder? How unorthodox. The current situation appears to require it, though...
I have detected an unknown object in Lake Hyrule.
Aribar: "An unknown object?"
Julian Sawyer: "Really?"
Metal Man (GM): Some sort of lights. Radio. It matches the frequency of some sort of base.
It is near Port Destiny... but... we should get the cylinder loaded, yes. I'll unlock the way.
Aribar: "We should get right on loading that cylinder in then."
Gibby: "Thank you."
Julian Sawyer: "Good..."
Metal Man (GM): The door ahead unseals itself for you. Another empty, long, space catwalk to walk across for you three.
Julian Sawyer: *And we're walking.*
Gibby starts walking.
Metal Man (GM): You're walking... when the alarms go off.
Aribar follows Gibby and Julian down the catwalk. He's a bit nervous and hopes that the chip doesn't suspect anything...
Metal Man (GM): What... is... this?
Julian Sawyer: "...What is what?"
Aribar: "Someone attacking the station?"
Metal Man (GM): An unknown being has just entered the ship.
Aribar: "Where?"
Julian Sawyer: "Goddammit... Where is it?"
Metal Man (GM): Right behind you.
It... followed you...
Julian Sawyer: "Gibby, turn around."
Aribar quickly unsheaths Moonlight and turns about.
Gibby turns around.
Metal Man (GM): You see... Rathos Lell.
Gibby: "Huh?"
Rathos Lell: "Not so smart now, are you?"
Julian Sawyer: "...Do not TELL ME you are who I think you are."
Rathos Lell: "You lead me right to your space station... haa haa haa haaa..."
Gibby narrows his eyes and brings a hand to his hilt.
Julian Sawyer still hasn't turned around.
Aribar: "...Who are you again?"
Rathos Lell: "..." He spits some cyber-spit. "I am Rathos Lell, who shall live forever... and destroy all which the Solarians failed to destroy."
Metal Man (GM): Do not fear. I think I can deal with him... just step back a bit.
Gibby: "He's the guy we had to deal with back at the Neo-Earth Outpost."
*He blinks and steps back.*
Metal Man (GM): Laser guns appear out of the ceiling, floor... in fact, there's one every 3 feet under what looked like round, circular patterns on the spaceship.
Aribar takes a few steps back. "Ah... I skipped that one."
Metal Man (GM): There's literally hundreds of them.
Rathos Lell: "...What? This is unlike your unsophisticated technology."
Metal Man (GM): Opening fire.
Gibby grins liking what he sees.
Aribar: "You're another fake Solarian?" *The elf looks at all the lasers... He's glad the chip's on their side.*
Julian Sawyer: "...Holy ****." *Julian walks forward, keeping his eye ahead.*
Metal Man (GM): They open fire at him; the cloud of lasers literally are blasting him to bits.
Gunicard E-Light: He won't be held for long. Quickly! We must load the cylinder.
Rathos Lell: "You can't run from me! I'm EVERYWHERE!"
Gibby: "Right!" *He starts running down the rest of the walkway. *
Julian Sawyer: "Right." *Julian jumps up and takes off, activating his Rocket Boots for greater speed as he boosts ahead.*
Rathos Lell: "Mark my words... I will chase you to the ends of the Earth!"
Aribar rushes after the others.
Metal Man (GM): You run out of range; he seems, at least, temporarily contained.
Gibby: "That was close..."
Metal Man (GM): You reach the main sector; the door quickly seals behind you.
Julian Sawyer: "And annoying as hell. He's supposed to be in the center of -CENSORED- Nintendus!"
Aribar: "I take it he was a big handful in the last mission?"
*He sheaths his blade and looks about.*
Gunicard E-Light: "It appears he found a way to use the same realm you used to teleport to get here."
Gibby: "Oh, Hello Gunicard."
Aribar: "Y'know, I thought I saw someone when we were teleporting up here..."
Gibby: "You did?"
Julian Sawyer: *Massages the bridge of his nose* "Goddammit... Didn't know he had a business suit."
Gunicard E-Light: "Luckily, he did not expect the level of sophistication in my processors. I have disabled his program's ability to travel... perhaps I can keep him trapped."
Julian Sawyer: "Sounds like a plan."
Gunicard E-Light: "Now... for the cylinders..."
Aribar: "Is there a way to Sector 3 from here so that we don't have to encounter him?"
Gunicard E-Light: "...He is trapped in Sector 3 for the moment."
Julian Sawyer: "The loadin' place is in Sector 2, Gibby."
Gunicard E-Light: "Here is the cylinder."
Gibby: "I know, I know..."
Metal Man (GM): It pops out of the floor, and you now have another warhead to push around.
Aribar: "...Sorry. My memory slipped up."
Gunicard E-Light: "You may go to Sector 2 and insert it."
Gibby: "No problem."
Julian Sawyer: "Right." *Julian picks it up... again. And heads for Sector 2*
Gibby follows Julian down to sector 2.
Metal Man (GM): You get to the catwalk for Sector 2, which opens up.
Once again; more walking... walking... walking...
Aribar: .oO(... You know, perhaps sending a Kirby, a one armed elf, and a normal person to transport a nuke wasn't the best idea.)
Gibby is walking down the catwalk... yeah yeah on the catwalk...
Aribar follows after the others.
Gibby looks around for the green text. Was it following them again?
Julian Sawyer: .oO(Hope I don't get cancer or somethin' from totin' these things around...)
Metal Man (GM): You drag it all the way to Sector 2.
The inner portion opens up, revealing yet another green light.
Gibby: "There it is..."
Metal Man (GM): It's got a computer keyboard, and a place to load the nuke.
Aribar: "Okay. Here we are..."
*He looks to see if that first nuke is still intact...*
Metal Man (GM): It isn't really in this room, but rather, sector 1's.
Julian Sawyer: "Alright, we're here... Gibby, load this thing up." *Figuring Gibby's kirbi-ness makes it difficult for him to lift heavy things, Julian sets it down and casually walks over to the computer...*
Metal Man (GM): The terminal has... buttons...
Keyboard... buttons...
Gibby starts pretending to lift the thing up... you know, in case somebody was watching them.
Aribar walks over sets himself between Gibby and the buttony goodness.
"Here, let me help you with that..." *He also pretends to help one-armed style...*
Metal Man (GM): What are ya gonna do with the computer?
Julian Sawyer: *Try and figure out how to run the debugger.*
Metal Man (GM): Computer use check.
Gibby: "Boy, this suuuure is heavy, isn't it Ari?"
Metal Man (GM): You find out many things. Mostly how to launch nukes at Eisnaught.
Aribar nods. "I'm still trying to figure out how to pick this thing up with only one arm."
Metal Man (GM): You type 'NUKE EISNAUGHT' and then a 48 letter code.
However, this is not using the Debugger.

Gibby: "How you doing over there, Julian?"
Metal Man (GM): You may try again.
Julian Sawyer quickly presses Control+Z. Undo! "Jus' lookin' the system over in case we have to come up here and do maintenance or something..." *Try Again! Whee!*
Metal Man (GM): I can let Rathos Lell tell me what you're doing with it if you're trying to trick me.
You... activate the Debug program.
...What? Gahhhh!!!
The lights suddenly go into standby.
Gibby: "HURRY!"
Aribar looks at the text and the lights. "Ummm..."
Gibby steps away from the nuke.
Aribar: "Is this good or bad?"
Metal Man (GM): ...Then you hear a familiar voice in the intercom.
Julian Sawyer: "I activated the Debug... Aw HELL NO."
Rathos Lell: "Great time to turn off the main computer. Now I can try my turn at it."
Aribar: "...Piffle."
Gibby: "Damn it..."
Rathos Lell: "Let's see... nuke Eisnaught... nuke... eisnaught... I hate cities that start with the letter e."
Aribar brings out his dex and tries to call Metal or someone.
Metal Man (GM): You take out the dex... who're you calling?
Julian Sawyer tries to lock him out of the Nuke Launching program.
Metal Man: "...Uh... what is it? And why are people in Eisnaught running into nuclear shelters?"
Metal Man (GM): Julian: Computer use check.
Aribar: "Metal, we're having great difficulties. A Rathos Lell is taking over the computer and such... Well, just try and evacuate Eisnaught just in case we can't stop him from launching a nuke!"
Rathos Lell: "What? A---guh!"
Julian Sawyer: "Not... any... more!" *CLICK.*
Aribar: "And... I think Julian just saved the day."
Gibby: "Whew..."
Metal Man: "...Don't worry. I think I can send in backup."
Rathos Lell: "Hmmm... perhaps I could drain the air... yes... then I could watch you die."
Aribar looks up at the others. "Think we need backup for dealing with this Lell character?"
Gibby nods.
Julian Sawyer: "Mets, all clear here. I got Rathos locked out of the Nuke Launch program... an' he's about to kill us."
Gibby: "We could use all the help we can get with this guy."
Rathos Lell: "Let's see... another 10 letter password... I'll have it in a few seconds."
Gibby: "Can you stop him, Julian?"
Metal Man: "Well, then--" *The transmission suddenly is replaced by an image of Rathos Lell.*
Rathos Lell: "Hah! Stop using those to cheat!"
Julian Sawyer: "Probably not..." *Julian tries locking Rathos out of all vital systems.*
Aribar: "Piffle."
Metal Man (GM): More Computer use.
Julian Sawyer: *LUCK DAMN*'
Metal Man (GM): You manage to use your luck to tie him... but that's a lose for him. He has to beat you.
Rathos Lell: "Grrrrr... now all I can do is kill you with audio."
Gibby: "With... audio?"
Metal Man (GM): The speakers begin playing extremely loud Backstreet Boys music.
Julian Sawyer: "...Hot damn, I'm the greatest!"
Aribar closes his dex and covers his ears... Well, at least one ear with his hand.
Gibby: "GAH! NO! Make it stop!!"
*He holds his head.*
Aribar: "My ears! My poor useless ears!"
Rathos Lell: "Yes... I knew the top 10 annoying hit singles of ancient Earth would come in handy some day... hehahahahahaaa!"
Julian Sawyer: "GAH!" *Julian covers his ears... Maybe he should try locking Rathos out of all systems. Yeah, that sounds good.*
Metal Man (GM): Another computer use check... hope you can succeed this one. Otherwise it's gonna be a very noisy stay aboard the totally locked out and insane space station.
Gibby: "Hurry up, Julian! I think I'm growing a tumor!"
Metal Man (GM): Even the audio is killed.
Gibby uncovers his ears and sighs.
Aribar: "By Whaller... You're the greatest, Julian."
Julian Sawyer: "...**** YEAH!"
Gibby: "There... now he's powerless."
Rathos Lell: "...I... hate... Julian... so... much..." *Suddenly vanishes from the system*

Aribar opens his Dex and tries to contact Metal... Hopefully Rathos isn't on it anymore.
Julian Sawyer: "Who 'da man? Who 'da man?! Aw yeah!"
Metal Man (GM): The lights go back to normal, and Gunicard reappears.
Gibby smiles.
"Nice job, Julian."
Aribar cancels that call and looks at the card.
"Erm... 'allo?"
Metal Man (GM): Hmmmm... it appears that you evicted that monster while I was in for some routine debugging.
Julian Sawyer: "So you stopped bein' all wacko?"
Metal Man (GM): Wacko? How was I... wacko?
Julian Sawyer: "I dunno, holdin' us hostage with a nuke? But whateva, you're 'pparently back to normal."
Metal Man (GM): ...I'm not sure what I was doing that for. I could better diagnose it if you told me the reason.
Gibby: "We probably shouldn't get into it."
Metal Man (GM): ...You aren't supposed to know what those area...
Julian Sawyer: "Hol' up..." *Julian calls up the Stadium on the Dex* "Yo, Mets, we all done here. Gunicard's back to normal... basically."
Metal Man (GM): *WARP* You vanish before Gunicard can say anything.
...I'm going to have to contact Ivan Robotnik about this...
Gibby waves before warping.
Julian Sawyer: "Lata'!" *Warp.*
Metal Man (GM): *Fadeout on Gunicard as the others reappear at HQ.*
Metal Man: "...Well... uhh... that was really fast."
Gibby: "Well that was easy... lets do another mission!"
*He is all pumped up.*
Julian Sawyer: "Like I said, Easy."
Metal Man: "...Even though we almost lost Eisnaught in that exchange."
Aribar: "We're back! And besides for some complications everything should be back to normal..."
Gibby: "But we still accomplished the mission."
Metal Man: "You can do another mission... after the other group is finished."
Julian Sawyer: "They already left?"
Gibby: "Aww..."
Metal Man (GM): Mission Complete - +10,000 coins to Julian and Gibby and Aribar
Julian Sawyer: "Psh, whatev. All I know is, I saved the planet. AGAIN."
Aribar: "Yeah... Julian really saved the day up there."
Gibby nods.
Charles Magellean comes into the Big Room, hearing Julian say that. "Did you do something other than fighting?"
Aribar: "Still, that was a stressful mission... I'm heading to the R&R."
Metal Man: "Well... now we just have to see how the others did."
Metal Man (GM): MEANWHILE...
Gibby follows Ari to R+R.
Julian Sawyer: "I hacked the hell out of a computer an' saved the planet... An' I still gotta fight YOU."
Metal Man (GM): MEANWHILE... +1
The people of Mission 8 are in the main room. The others have just left.
Metal Man: "...While they deal with that, it's up to you to find out why there was an earthquake atop Star Haven."
Charles Magellean: "An earthquake... at Star Haven? Last I knew, the Sanctuary was atop Shooting Star Summit."
Trigger: "Could have been a man-made earthquake?"
Dragoshi: "...Understood." *It appears Dragoshi isn't in his armor, but instead a red and gray hoodless cloak. Underneath it is a dark grey t-shirt and blue jeans.*
Metal Man: "All you must do is find out... what it was about. What caused the Earthquake."
Trigger: "Yes sir."
Charles Magellean: "The objective is understood. These two and I shall depart."
Dragoshi: "...Quite."
Trigger: "Ok."
Charles Magellean: "Dismissed?"
Metal Man (GM): The elevator comes down for you guys, again.
Metal Man: "Dismissed."
Trigger enters the elevator.
"You guys coming?"
Dragoshi enters the elevator.
Charles Magellean bows in "Praise to Yevon" fashion again. He walks to the elevator, looking to the other two with quick glances of the eyes, then steps on board the elevator.
Metal Man (GM): You get on aboard; the elevator floats up, and then you, too, are warped.
You appear... at the base of of Shooting Star Summit.
Charles Magellean opens Garrick's dex in the same way that tricorders were opened in the original Star Trek. He begins making a general scan of the area.
Metal Man (GM): The hill itself is a strange shade of purple; it looks like there's some storm clouds atop it.
The twisting path that goes up it is dead ahead.
Charles Magellean closes Garrick's dex for the time being.
Trigger: "Where do we go from here?"
Charles Magellean: "We start the trek up the mountain. It clouds were not there when I was last here."
Trigger: "Hmm, ok."
Dragoshi: "...Huh. Understood."
Charles Magellean leads on. He starts walking.
Dragoshi follows Charles.
Trigger follows Dragoshi.
Metal Man (GM): You all begin walking up the path.
It seems peaceful here, but those clouds on the top don't look too good.
Charles Magellean: "Keep an eye out for certain oddities along the path. No doubt something could be amiss along this trail."
Trigger: "Ok."
Dragoshi nods and keeps an eye out for these oddities.
Trigger does the same.
Metal Man (GM): Speaking of oddities, there's this big ol' portal in the way.
Charles Magellean takes glances from time to time as well. He adjusts his contacts somewhat to them from slipping.
Metal Man (GM): Alexia is thrown out of it and in front of you, and then it closes. Odd.
Trigger: "...ooookey?"
Dragoshi blinks for a second.
Alexia: "AAAAAAGH!"
Dragoshi: "...Okay. That was unexpected."
Alexia lands with a thud. "Nnnngh..." She stands up slowly.
Charles Magellean is unphased by this. He keeps going on past the new girl.
Trigger: "Are you ok?"
Alexia: "I'm okay, but who are you? And where am I?"
Dragoshi then shrugs and follows Charles, not wanting to be left behind.
Alexia shakes her head a bit to clear it up.
Trigger: "I'm Trigger, and we are at Shooting Star Summit."
Metal Man (GM): Continuing up, Charles would smell brimstone in the air.
Charles Magellean: "Don't be left behind, recruit. We'll need your assistance---"
Alexia nods.
Charles Magellean keen sense of smell detects an amiss.
Trigger keeps a sharp eye out for oddities.
Metal Man (GM): The air is becoming a bit smoky up here, too.
Charles Magellean: "...The two of you, hurry. You can talk to the person that came through the portal as well."
*He begins to run.*
Dragoshi is already following Charles. Then runs to keep up the pace.
Alexia takes her laser pistol out and follows Charles up the hill, hovering a few inches off the ground.
Dragoshi: "Already on it."
Trigger starts to run after the others.
Metal Man (GM): You run all the way to the top of the hill... and discover the reason for all the previous smoke and brimstone.
Alexia: "Why are we-"
Metal Man (GM): A Dark World Portal is open atop it, and the entire temple area has Stalfos in it.
Dragoshi: "...Holy-"
Charles Magellean: "...GANONDORF."
Alexia: "Oh, man..."
Trigger takes out his pistol. "Whoa--"
Charles Magellean gets swings his arms so that one is on top of the over, both hands in slashing poise. He takes a battle-like stance.
Dragoshi readies his scythe. "...This stuff AGAIN? ...Wonderful."
Alexia ducks into battle position, pistol drawn.
Trigger: "Not this **** again."
Charles Magellean: "The Star kids... where are the star kids?!"
Trigger: "I don't know."
Alexia: "Probably under Ganondorf's reign."
Charles Magellean: "...The Star Rod."
Metal Man (GM): You see none... merely Stalfos.
They appear to be trying to take the Star Rod.
Trigger: "We gotta stop them!"
Alexia: "...Anyone for keepaway?"
Dragoshi: "..."
Charles Magellean: "The three of you, listen up. We must protect the sanctuary at all costs. The artifact of power must not fall under the Gerudo's grasp. ATTACK!"
Trigger: "...I'm game."
Metal Man (GM): They haven't seen you yet. Rather, they are currently trying to break into the temple.
Trigger: "YAHHHH!!"
Dragoshi: "...Understood."
Charles Magellean runs towards the stalfos, he leaning forward the whole way of running.
Trigger charges towards the stalfos.
Alexia flies towards the Stalfos, ready to fight.
Charles Magellean: "Skeletal minions of Ganondorf! Stop what you are doing and prepare to fight us!"
Dragoshi dashes towards the Stalfos.
Metal Man (GM): They turn to you.
A group of 5 leap to attack you, while three others continuing attacking the door to the Temple.

Dragoshi walks up to the Stalfos that Charles hit and swipes it with his scythe. Twice.
Metal Man (GM): Miss and miss. It leaps away.
Alexia cups her hand and flings a purple sphere of energy at the targeted Stalfos. "Mindblast!"
Dragoshi mutters with sarcasm in his voice "...Greeeaaaat." Saving my other 2 TP. End of turn.
Metal Man (GM): Miss!
Alexia: "Crud..." *Ends turn.*

Stalfos 1 runs up and tries to slash Charles.

Dragoshi attacks Stalfos 1 again, this time attempting to strangle the skeletal beast with his tail before hitting it with two swipes of his scythe.

Metal Man (GM): The Stalfos moan as they take 30 damage.
Charles Magellean opens a portal to his right. It crackles with electricity. His body merely slides into it. The portal disappears.
Metal Man (GM): Also, you heal the Questers for 15 HP each.
Alexia then uses a Mushroom on herself and ends her turn.
Metal Man (GM): Also also, hit hit hit, Dragoshi.
Dragoshi: *End o turn for me.*
Charles Magellean: *A portal opens next to Stalfos 1. Charles comes out of it, fist already extended, and prepares to slide into the skeleton.*

Charles Magellean: "In a straight-on battle, these Stalfos will cripple us... We need an alternate strategy that doesn't involve grabbing the Star rod."

Stalfos 1 is seriously feeling the pain.
Alexia: You still have all 4 of your TP.
Alexia: "They're about to get into the temple!"
Dragoshi saves up his last TP. (End o turn for me)
Alexia uses her TK to fling Stalfos 1 into Stalfos 2
Charles Magellean goes in a praying stance. He begins to wish for help against the Stalfos. -2 TP.

Metal Man (GM): Charles wishes for help against the Stalfos, while Alexia flings a rock off the summit.
Charles Magellean stands up. He summons a non-elemental energy spell. He guides it with his hand. He flings it at Stalfos 1.

Charles Magellean is brought to his knees. Hope cannot fade away... we must have hope! "Rod of the Stars, here my cry. Here my wish to prevent us to not die! Send my wishes to the heavens! Please help!" (Not done yet, don't react until I type the next thing.)
He speaks in Lunarian now.
"I, of the Lunarians, plead for help! Star Rod... please... help me reach my words to the Phantom God, Lord Bahamut! PLEASE, MY LORD! HELP US IN OUR DIRE HOUR!"
Metal Man (GM): For no reason whatsoever, The Wraith appears.
Trigger: "Umm, hello?"
Alexia: "So now there are ghosts too?" *She points her gun at the Wraith.*
Charles Magellean: "Lord Bahamut... Thank you. Thank you for listening to my plight.."
Editor's Note: Sounds more like Cthulhu or The Void listened to your plight, given how horrifying The Wraith is.
Trigger: "Don't worry, he's cool."
Metal Man (GM): Then the Stalfos mindlessly slash at him. Mostly in vain, because their swords can't hit him.

Alexia shakes her head in disbelief and turns back to the battle.
The Wraith materializes in the area with a ghastly rasping noise and much folding of shadows around two small, colored specks, purple and cyan... It then forms arms and a head, and beckons the enemies on, smirking as their swords slice right through the air where its 'body' floats...
Metal Man (GM): Miss.
Charles Magellean looks to the ghost. "I don't know why my Lord sent you, but it is his plan. We are being overpowered by Ganondorf's minions. Will you assist us?"

Metal Man (GM): Hit.
Wraith: Your init?
The Wraith looks to Charles and simply nods, showing a confident, I-love-to-battle smirk on what exists of its dark face.
Charles Magellean rises from his feet. His hope refilled, he stands to battle again.
"The first one is weakened. Attack that one."
The Wraith looks from Charles to the Stalfos, rasping with a rhythm only explainable as a chuckle as it backs away a bit and holds a hand forward, palm up... It curls its fingers in a bit, and raises the hand, suddenly bringing up a ring of fire from beneath the Stalfos' feet.
Alexia: "...Nice."
Metal Man (GM): BLAM. Stalfos 1 dies.
Trigger: "Finally."
Alexia: "About time, is all I can say." *She Mindblasts Stalfos 2, then defends.*
Charles Magellean: "We are still a long way of preventing the Stalfos to entering the sanctuary... And it looks to be that could just be a matter of time."
Metal Man (GM): They're pretty much almost in there... hit.
Also, Dragoshi revives.

Alexia: "We need to get those Stalfos away from the temple!"

Dragoshi runs towards Stalfos 2, and swipes at it with his scythe twice.
Alexia: "Have a plan in mind?"
Metal Man (GM): Miss, crit.
He's busted up a decent amount.

Charles Magellean looks to the stalfos again. He moves his hand slowly.
Metal Man (GM): Yup,.
Charles Magellean hand locks onto Stalfos 2. He raises his hand, and the stalfos rises as well.
Alexia: "...You have telekinesis too?"
Metal Man (GM): And... then?
Charles Magellean smiles somewhat sadistically, then it turns into a grimace. He throws the Stalfos into the other skeletons nearby it.
He wonders OOCly how much damage they received.
Metal Man (GM): Yes. Just being bogged down

One other attacks Dragoshi.

The Wraith simply drifts forward, following the Stalfos as it reaches into its own torso and pulls out the purple object, still leaving that trace of cyan... It's a stone, the same it's used in the past. It points the stone at the most damaged Stalfos and lets out a powerful 'shout' from that rasping voice as a barrage of magical energy flies toward its target. End turn.
Metal Man (GM): BARELY hit.

Stalfos 2 explodes.
Charles Magellean summons five non-elemental spells of energy. The five spells orbit around Magellean as they begin to follow both of his hands.
He does a couple circles in the air until he guides all five into Stalfos 3.
Dragoshi smirks then stands in a defensive pose. (End turn)
Charles Magellean: *26, 13, miss, 13, 13.*
Metal Man (GM): The Stalfos, all 3 of them.

Metal Man (GM): It's still standing, despite being the victim of a huge explosion.

The Wraith lets out a bit of a growl now, getting frustrated with these everlivin' skeletons... It flings two 'shards' of magical energy at the weakest Stalfos, awaiting to see their effect before launching another massive barrage of magic at whichever weakest Stalfos is still standing.
Trigger attempts to take down Stalfos 3. Takedown(5 damage, +5 to accuracy, stuns target)
Metal Man (GM): Hit, crit.
#3 explodes. Then the Wraith misses once and so does Trigger.
Dragoshi: "Ugh... A little help here?" (71/300)
Metal Man (GM): They're now inside... they have the rod, and are turning to take it into the portal.

*He glares at the fourth Stalfos, and strangles it with his tail twice, then attempts to strike it with a powerful blast of lightning.
He pants heavily, then assumes a defensive stance. (End turn)*
Metal Man (GM): So... I'll wait for Charles.
Charles Magellean uses portal slide move again. He uses it on Stalfos 4.

Dragoshi: "...Man, these guys are tough."

The Wraith goes to float in between the Stalfos and the portal, intending to intercept it should it throw... It has methods. If it has the time, it would unleash a final blast of magical energy at the Stalfos's face.
Charles Magellean: "...Ten years ago, the Star Rod... I found it abandoned. I feel a personal responsibility to make sure it does not fall into evil's hands again!"
Metal Man (GM): Roll it.
Dragoshi: "...It'd be quite horrible if that did happen, now wouldn't it?"
Metal Man (GM): As The Wraith misses, and the Star Rod is shot...
It flies onto the ground near the portal.
Charles Magellean looks to the recruit with a glare in his eyes... he hears it drop...
Metal Man (GM): A Stalfos goes to pick it up.
Charles Magellean: "Noo... it belongs to the Star Rod..."
Dragoshi: "...I'll take that as a yes" *Turns around to see the Stalfos.*
Trigger runs towards the rod to pick it up!
Charles Magellean runs toward the stalfos. "IT IS THE HOPE OF EVERYONE IN THE WORLD. IT DOES NOT BELONG TO ANYONE ANYMORE!"
Dragoshi attempts to Chaos Control towards the Star Rod and pick it up.
Metal Man (GM): Trigger grabs it simultaneously with the Stalfos.
The Wraith swoops down and goes to... dive into the Star Rod.
Metal Man (GM): It grabs it, and then ... hmmm... *suspense.*
Charles Magellean: "Please... Star Rod... it's me... Charles Magellean."
Metal Man (GM): It flies at the portal. In fact, it's on the edge of it.
Trigger: "Gah!"
Metal Man (GM): ...Then it falls away from it...
Then Ganondorf's hand grabs it...
Dragoshi: "...Woah."
Trigger: "Gotta... get... NO!!"
Metal Man (GM): Then Ganondorf's hand is electrified...
Then a Stalfos tries to shove it in...
Dragoshi: "...What the Looper?"
Metal Man (GM): Then the Wraith tackles and possesses it. It glows and shoots the portal, blowing it up.
Dragoshi: "Waoh man!"
Charles Magellean: "Ghost!"
Trigger: "Damn, that was close!"
Charles Magellean runs up right to The Wraith.
Dragoshi: "Yeah, Seriously!"
Metal Man (GM): The area is liberated. +2000 EXP to all.
Dragoshi: *...Wait nevermind.*
Charles Magellean: "I know we have had our differences... but please... give it to me. I know what to do with it."
The Wraith is currently... inside the Star Rod at the moment. The rod rises up away from the ground... then drifts toward Charles, turning sideways so that it can land in open hands as it drifts down in front of Charles... Once placed there, the wraith releases and flows out of the rod, resuming its normal form.
He then slowly bows to Charles in acceptance as it backs away a bit.
Charles Magellean holds the tall rod in both hands. "I thank you for not letting it go in... HIS... hands."
The Wraith nods.
Trigger: "Hmm, looks like our mission is complete."
Charles Magellean: "Not yet."
Trigger: "What's left?"
Charles Magellean: "Everyone, begin to wish. It will give the Star Rod power."
Trigger: "Ok."
Dragoshi: "Understood."
The Wraith nods and closes its eyes... It places its palms together, and those two stones, purple and cyan, float above each of its shoulders, rotating slowly...
Charles Magellean holds the Star Rod high. "Star Rod. It is I, Charles Magellean again. I tap into your powers, powered by my hopes, as well as the Questers... please eradicate the darkness that has tainted Star Haven and everything that it has touched up here. Remove the clouds of black, the ground of despair... repair what the Earthquake had done. Give the Stars a chance to shine here!"
Dragoshi puts his scythe away, and closes his eyes. He silently wishes and prays.
Trigger puts his gun away and beings to wish and pray.
Metal Man (GM): The clouds go away normally, and the stars shine again. Aaand... that's it.
Dragoshi: "...Well... Does that mean our job is done?"
Trigger: "I guess."
Charles Magellean: "Yours is. I must return it to the pedestal."
*He walks to the sanctuary. He smiles at the Star Rod before putting it back.* "I've missed seeing you in action."
He walks out of the sanctuary. He closes the doors, takes a deep sigh, and returns to the new recruits.
The Wraith drifts to the door, lingering on the outside and waiting for Charles to exit... When he does, it opens its dex, triggering Charles's to beep.
Charles Magellean opens Garrick's dex and sees what the ghost has to say.
"Something you wish to say, ghost?"
The Wraith: "I was hoping to not have any quarrel with you, old friend... I am glad to see at least a trace of understanding and trust between us." Again, a rather familiar voice of old...
Charles Magellean: "You are an unsent and a new recruit. I can say nothing else than say that your help is greatly appreciated."
Dragoshi: "...I'll send us back to the base seeing as our job is done" *Dragoshi pulls out his Dex, opens it up and presses whatever button is used to warp them back to base.* @_@
Charles Magellean: "Yet now the mission is over, and the trust is shortened. Let us all return to HQ."
The Wraith: "New recruit indeed... Very well, then."
Metal Man (GM): *WARP*
Mission Complete - 10,000 coins
Dragoshi: "...I'll go report this to Metal"
Charles Magellean: "WE will report to Metal."
Dragoshi: "...Understood, then."
Charles Magellean will go the elevator, either ahead or behind Dragoshi.
Trigger: "I'm gonna go back to my room, I'll see ya all later."
Metal Man (GM): It's there, as usual.
Trigger enters the elevator.
Dragoshi: "'Kay." *Enters Elevator.*
Charles Magellean enters it as well.
The Wraith simply nods, drifting along with the group.
Metal Man (GM): You go on up... and into Metal's office.
Metal Man: "Well well... what is there for me today?"
Charles Magellean: "We found out the cause of the earthquake."
Dragoshi: "...Ganondorf and his Flunkies. Not to mention there was a portal to the Dark World."
Metal Man: "Seems like you avoided a Ganondorf 3 by leaving it alone... odd."
Charles Magellean: "Thanks to the ...ghost... Ganondorf was unable to get his hands on the Star Rod."
Dragoshi: "Indeed."
Charles Magellean: "I felt a personal responsibility to protect it since it was in my possession for several months up to Kuja's demise."
Metal Man: "Well, you did just fine. Nothing special, but... I guess the world is safe for now."
Dragoshi: "Quite."
Charles Magellean: "For some reason, the Stalfos were much stronger ones than past incarnations..."
Dragoshi: "...What would the best case scenario've been anyway? Defeat of Ganondorf 2? ...Or something else... Oh well."
Charles Magellean: "Anyway, assuming that the other group stopped Gunicard, I assume that the world is safe from two threats."
Metal Man: "Also... Julian is waiting for you in the arena. Do you want to fight him, or should I beat him up for you?"
*He chuckles.*
The Wraith lets out a quieter version of that rasping parody of a chuckle...
Charles Magellean: "I'll... go meet him... you should come in case my decision is no."
Metal Man: "Aye aye."
Charles Magellean: "Any news on how CAL ready time can be shortened?"
Metal Man: "None... I'm very busy at the moment."
*He notes... the elevator, for Mr. Charles.* "We'll be going up."
Charles Magellean goes up the elevator with Metal. He waits for Metal's break to be over.
The Wraith just smirks a bit and drifts away, deciding to peep in on the battle via Dex from time to time as it did last time.
Dragoshi exits the area as well and decides to watch the battle from the audience... This time without making any snide remarks.
Charles Magellean would arrive in the arena at the same time as Metal when he gets there. Until then...
Metal Man (GM): Monkeys on the walls.

Julian Sawyer: "Where you been Charles? I got back two hours ago!" *Julian mockingly yells from the middle of the ring at Charles as he enters.*
Charles Magellean enters the Arena with Metal by his side. "I've been dealing with a minor threat. Ganondorf trying to take the Star Rod, that's all."
Julian Sawyer: "Me? I knocked Gunicard offline, ran the debug, stopped Rathos from takin' over, An' saved the world! Again." *Julian dusts off his knuckles against his vest* "So you finally gonna answer my challenge? Be a man?"
Charles Magellean: "Seems like you had a more busy day than me."
Julian Sawyer: "Psh. Didn't take but 30 minutes. Oh, I see. You're stallin'! Get in the ring!"
Charles Magellean: "As I told you before, I have no reason to fight you. Would you remind me why I 'gotta answer da challenge' ?"
Julian Sawyer: "'Cause you talked smack 'bout me when I was beatin' down Mets last night. An' I can't let that go unpunished."
Charles Magellean: "I recall only falling asleep when it was always your chance to attack. Is that what you mean?"
Julian Sawyer: "An' you called me borin'. That ain't cool."
Charles Magellean: "I feel bad for offending you that way, but an interesting match isn't using the same move over and over... no matter how effective it is."
Metal Man: "Or I can beat him down for you."
Charles Magellean: "Well last night, I used many attacks against that had no effect, but we both enjoyed the fight. I got beaten by *Points to Metal* this guy and some undead skeletons a little while ago. I'm not fighting you.
Besides, you're angry again."
Julian Sawyer: "Difference is, you lost, I didn't."
John (GM): *Julian's dex beeps...*
Charles Magellean: "I knew it was pointless after a while, so I conceded to him. And I concede to you right now as well."
Julian Sawyer doesn't answer because he knows it's that damn ghost "So what? You ain't even gonna TRY?"
Charles Magellean OOCly thought you were still away. Silly me ^^;.
"As a less solemn-self would say, 'You calm the hell down AND change your tone with me and then I'll consider fightin' ya'."
Julian Sawyer: "What? You scared I'm gonna rip you apart while I'm pumped up?"
Charles Magellean: "Pumped up on your own rage, saying -CENSORED- this, and -CENSORED- that? No. I'm scared that I may quit in the middle of the fight because of how you keep talking in a disrespectful matter."
Julian Sawyer: "So you scared?"
Charles Magellean: "I'm scared of what I said, not you."
Julian Sawyer: "...So you're scared?"
Charles Magellean feels as though he's on a loop. "No, Julian."
Julian Sawyer: "So if you AIN'T scared, what you waitin' for?"
Charles Magellean: "I'm waiting for either you or mouth to stop moving and stop disrespecting everyone that annoys you. In fact, I'm tired of it now. Metal, mind filling in for me?"
The Wraith drifts in through the wall of the arena to Charles's back, smirking down at the brave Julian...
Julian Sawyer: "Psh. All I'm disrespectin' is a coward who's afraid to get in the ring!"
Metal Man: "Uhhh... just a moment."
Charles Magellean: "That is exactly what I'm talking about. I will not fight you until you improve not your skills, but your conversational skills."
*He takes a seat in the Arena.* "You'll find Metal to be different from the last time you fought him.
My ears bleed each time you run your mouth."
The Wraith: *The dexes of those in the ring would beep...*
Charles Magellean does not like being rude, yes, but his ire is hiding in his tone.
Julian Sawyer: "Then you better get some bandages." *Turns to Metal* "So you got somethin' different? So step to it. I dare ya."
Charles Magellean takes out a pencil and a notepad.
"I'm keeping tabs on you this time, Sawyer. See how ya do."
Metal Man: "Okay then. I'll punch that mouth off your face."
The Wraith just drifts closer to the ring, settling into one of the front-row spectator seats, right in Julian's current view... It folds its arms and just gets ready to watch.
Charles Magellean: "It seems to be more attached to him than his desire to fight."
Metal Man: "It won't be after I jam my fist into it."
Charles Magellean: "That is if you can hit him."
Metal Man walks into the arena. He seems... more vicious now.
"Show me what you can do now."
Metal Man (GM): BATTLE
Julian Sawyer: "So we gonna do this?" *Cracks his knuckles, and drops into his stance.*
Metal Man (GM): Julian vs. Metal
Charles Magellean: "*Writing* Sequel... match... fight. ...Same... old... same..."
Julian Sawyer: "Then let's go!" *Julian charges Metal, attempting to actually run up him...*
Metal Man doesn't even attempt to dodge that.
Julian Sawyer success! Julian grabs onto Metal's head with one hand, bashes him with his elbow, then rolls backwards. taking Metal with him and launching him into the air for a Monkey Flip!
Metal Man takes no damage from the grab, and a mere 15 from the throw.
"Well, that stung a little."
Charles Magellean: "Metal... showing... change... in... attitude."
Julian Sawyer rolls back to his feet, settling in for Metal's next attack.
Metal Man uses his turn... to walk up and punch at Julian's mouth.
Julian Sawyer is punched.
Metal Man (GM): *SMACK* 57 damage.
Editor's Note: Also this reminds me, if Metal deals 57 damage and Stalfos deal 60, does that mean they would be a better Quester than he was? ...Probably, at the time.
Metal Man then smacks him upside the head.
Charles Magellean: "Metal... does... favor."
Metal Man (GM): 11 damage.
The Wraith can be heard rasping its demented chuckle as Julian gets such a fierce blow to that dirty mouth of his.
Charles Magellean: "Ghost... is... a... grater... like... him."
*He turns off Garrick's dex, deactivating it.*
Metal Man: "You have the raw power... but I have the efficiency. Some of your skill rubbed off on me... I just kicked them up a notch."
Julian Sawyer's sent flat on his back from that Super Punch, but immediately rolls to his feet... .oO(How the hell... Doesn't matter) *Julian focuses a bit, energy channeling into his gloves until they're glowing red* "You ain't the only one with a few new tricks up your sleeve!" *Julian charges Mets, trying to catch him by the shoulders.*
Metal Man (GM): Hit.
Julian Sawyer: *The energy! It burns! Julian grabs Metal by the shoulders, then immediately spins around and slams him into the ground! Focus Slam!*
Metal Man absorbs the majority of the damage, then takes 15 more damage.
Julian Sawyer: *And Julian's not done! He takes out Vendetta, and slashes Metal horizontally and vertical for a One Two Cut!*
Metal Man is hit twice.
Charles Magellean makes two marks.
Julian Sawyer: *That's it.*
Metal Man: "You haven't lost your touch, but is it enough?"
*He summons... the Deathmachine. It then fires...*
Metal Man (GM): Self-shock (5 damage to self), an orange beam similar to Vendetta... and a beam of psychic energy.
And then it misses twice.
Metal Man predicts the insult... decides to jam his hand into Julian's mouth before he can say anything.
Metal Man (GM): 11 damage.
Julian Sawyer: "One Two, you gonna lo-" *Ow.*
Charles Magellean makes a third mark.
He erases a mark, seeing as one wasn't offensive.
Julian Sawyer: "Oh come on Mets! That ain't nice at all... Neither is THIS!" *Julian determines the weak point of Metal's armor to be the gut, and goes to deliver a powerful Wall Buster punch!*
Metal Man is hit by it, though his gut is pretty tough. Tougher than a wall, at least.
Charles Magellean makes that mark back for sarcasm.
Metal Man doesn't take too much damage.
Julian Sawyer drops back again, trying to anticipate Metal's next move.
Metal Man goes with another powerful death punch.
Julian Sawyer: *And! Miss!*
Metal Man decides to punch the floor. Old School.
Julian Sawyer decides since it worked so well last time, do it again! Focus Slam!
Charles Magellean yawns a bit.
Metal Man gets hit again.
Julian Sawyer then drops back again... Looks like he's conserving TP too. TURN END.
Charles Magellean yawns loudly now.
Metal Man then uses yet another insane power punch.
Metal Man (GM): *ZOOM* 57 damage.
Charles Magellean: "Geez, I'm really tired after being beaten by Stalfos' swords today."
Julian Sawyer goes on the offensive again! He draws Vendetta and goes for a One, Two, Three, Four, Five, SIX Cut!
Metal Man (GM): All hit.
Charles Magellean: "*Writes* Julian... uses... same... attack... again. Becomes... un-ori... ginal."
Metal Man is heavily damaged... so he attempts another Deathmachine.
He hits with a 46 damage one before zapping himself twice.
Julian Sawyer gets hit with whatever that first one is.
Metal Man (GM): Another psychic wave.
Julian Sawyer: "I thought you said you were more efficient, Mets!" *Julian charges again, trying another Monkey Flip! CRIIIIIIIIITICAL!*
Metal Man: "Efficiency... does not count in luck."
Charles Magellean: "He's right to an extent. You're being a bit lucky, today."
Metal Man (GM): Sure.
Julian Sawyer: "Shut your mouth an' get back to your notekeepin', Mr. Coward McBias."
Metal Man: "I won't stop trying until I put you in your place."
Charles Magellean makes "tch tch tch tch tch tch" sounds and makes another mark.
Metal Man: "Okay... one right or wrong amount of luck... can decide this battle... what will the Deathmachine do? Let's find out!"
Charles Magellean: "Metal, don't you think you're going easy on Mr. Sawyer?"
Metal Man tries... a double deathmachine combined with morphing into The Void.
Metal Man (GM): a CRIT on the 46 and a hit on that 23 w/laser.
92 damage and 23 laser damage.
Julian Sawyer: *And Julian SOMEHOW survives that! But he ain't lookin' none to good* "...Charles, why you gotta be stickin' your opinion in place I DON'T NEED IT?"
Charles Magellean: "Merely seeing how you react to simple observations."
Julian Sawyer: "When'd you turn into the stadium's goddamn shrink?"

*He erases that mark there. He puts a slash through the first four.
* "Forgot how to tally there for a moment."
Julian Sawyer turns his attention back to the battle, his fists glowing again as he rushes Metal and goes for a magical Focus Slam! And keeping his grip on Metal, he slams him again!
Metal Man smiles and runs out of HP before Julian can touch him. "Hah! I zapped myself before you could get a finishing blow." Falls over, and then eats a mushroom
"Well... I guess you won again. Sorta."
Julian Sawyer: "OH! I'm two for two Mets! TWO for TWO!" *Turns to Charles* "You get that, Mr. Shrink?"
Metal Man (GM): +500 EXP to both
Charles Magellean makes a sixth mark.
Metal Man: "It becomes harder to keep up with every battle."
Editor's Note: A funny note, technically if Metal Man had leveled up based upon attendance, he would be far beyond anything Julian could even touch. So my head canon this entire time, and well, probably then what you, the reader, could consider canon, is that he never wanted to 'beat' other Questers since he wanted them to feel powerful. Otherwise, after all, why not have him handle every problem?
What point of him being a leader then? Even this far back, he had previously wielded Chaos Emeralds and doublers and other inane nonsense -- yet he chose to try to punch it out, with someone who had Vendetta.
Charles Magellean: "I believe I've founded a theory of where luck goes..."
Julian Sawyer: "What the hell your writin'..." *Julian floats over to Charles and tries to grab the notepad out of Charles' hand. Don't suppose a Steal attack could assist with this?*
Charles Magellean: *Julian sees everything that Charles has written when he talked slowly and 6 tallies.*
Julian Sawyer: "...Where the hell you unoriginal from? Mets used the same moves just as I did."
Charles Magellean: "Indeed, I saw more variety, but using Vendetta six times in a row is... in the nicest matter..." *Whispers with his hand under his mouth* ...cheap."
" *He puts hand away.* "May I have the notepad back, please?"
Julian Sawyer: "So's the Deathmachine. What's your damn point?"
Metal Man: "Actually, the deathmachine is completely random."
Charles Magellean scratches chin. "A somewhat fine argument." Takes notepad back. "However..."
He uses pencil and makes a seventh tally. He shows Julian it increased by one.
"It increased when you asked me your question."
*He turns notepad to face himself again.*
Julian Sawyer: "So what? I ain't allowed to question the Almighty Charles anymore, less I get negative points in your book?" *Said with obvious sarcasm.*
Charles Magellean: "Keep it up, Julian. Keep it up. " *Makes an eighth tally. He stands and heads downward in the seats until he's at the railing. He jumps over it.*
Julian Sawyer follows, hovering in front of him "Y'know what, lemme show you what I think of your little evaluation." *Julian grabs the notebook out of Charles' hands, crumples it the best he can, kicks it into the air, then incinerates it with a well-placed Rocket Boot flame.*
Metal Man hands Charles a security camera version of it.
"I always back up everything.
And now... I must become three times more powerful. Or something." *Vanishes out a doorway.*
Charles Magellean: "Well thank you, but I was merely making tallies. That's what the pen and paper were for."
Julian Sawyer: "...I ain't even gonna ask how the hell you got that. I made my point." *Julian walks out of the arena, flipping Charles the bird as he walks out the doorway and to his room.*
