Super Smash Quest - Story - Chapter 295: The Time Calamity, Part 1: Grave Tidings

Metal Man (GM): You're at the big room. Metal looks slightly happier now, however he has a grim expression.
Metal Man: "I spoke with Ruvyn of the Time Calamity."
Dragoshi: "...What's wrong, boss?"
Metal Man: "...It... is something far larger than I first suspected."
Dragoshi: "...Go on."
Metal Man starts up a projector screen. Several things appear on it.
Dragoshi's expression is also starting to look a little more grim seeing as Metal mentioned the Time Calamity.
Charles Magellean merely squints, looking on as like he is skeptical.
Metal Man: "...You see... the time calamity is a part of a cycle, as said by The Void."
Dragoshi: "...Indeed."
Metal Man: "...It's also supposed to be the end of the cycle, wherein... time itself resets."
Groggy Ghost looks up at the projector, squinting as well, though his looks more like the result of a headache...
Dragoshi blinks... Then has his eyes widen after he lets that sink in.
Metal Man: "We're trillions and trillions of years past the creation of the universe."
Dragoshi: "Wait, wait, wait, wait. Time's going to RESET?"
Metal Man: "If it is allowed to occur, then yes. The universe will explode and restart over, ushering in the next set of worlds and their parameters."
Dragoshi: "Then we really shouldn't allow it then, right?"
Metal Man: "That is the problem."
*He looks down.* "Kuja had an inkling of this, told this fragment to Ruvyn, and went to work on destroying it with a massive cannon."
Dragoshi's expression grows a little grimmer "Go on..."
Metal Man: "It was so secret his own men never found out until the government was destroyed by us."
Dragoshi: "..."
Charles Magellean scoffs.
Metal Man: "While he had evil motives to go along with it, it could have been fixed to work for an entirely good purpose. However..."
Dragoshi: "?"
Metal Man shows a picture of the time stones, Ivo, and the last of the cannon.
"Ivo destroyed it and took the time stone. It is worthless now."
Dragoshi: "Indeed."
Metal Man: "The effort it'd take to make another would require another Kuja... and those sort of resources don't exist anymore, because... we don't have 10 years. ...It gets deeper, though. This is the fringe."
Dragoshi: "...Oh, cosmic hellfire..."
Metal Man brings up a picture of Ruvyn.
Dragoshi: "...What's this have to do with the phoenix... Err... Ruvyn, I mean?"
Metal Man: "In addition to dooming all living beings to death in an unspecified amount of time, Ruvyn himself appears to have shifted his motives. He has researched many things to do just in case the cannon failed."
Dragoshi: "...Wonderful."
Metal Man: "...Unfortunately... they only work because they have limited effectiveness. So only a few would survive.
Ruvyn ran off, saying he would use this in order to save himself and his men.
Furthermore that no one would stop him in this errand.
...We must find out what he meant when it comes to these motives, as we may have the ability to improve them... or at the worst... save ourselves."
Dragoshi: "...Yes. And I hope that it shall not come to the worst, though, if necessary we should prepare if that ever happens to be the case."
Metal Man: "Furthermore, Ruvyn is dangerous. He has the authority to call any number of abandoned Kuja soldiers to his aid."
Charles Magellean: "And we should care about this why? From what I've seen, Ruvyn seems more of an ally than an antagonist."
Metal Man: "He may pick up more, too... any abandoned soldiers. He guarantees them survival from this event. How many mercenaries would not follow him? Those promises are pretty deep. ...His methods could not only be unethical, Charles, but also clash with us.
We have many devices and information which he wanted badly."
Dragoshi: "..."
*He nods.*
Metal Man: "With those men... they might not be Questers, but you saw what the IIF people could do... Ruvyn's men are more elite than even they. For, remember, any men left... survived us.
And we killed countless hordes."
Charles Magellean scoffs. "I see. And the good doctor is going about this in a complete direction, by hiding back in time."
Dragoshi nods in response to Metal.
Metal Man: "Well, yes. He can give himself more time than there is his lifespan, and live for that time in complete comfort. If not live... forever..."
Dragoshi: "...Greaaaat."
Metal Man: "...But you didn't choose to deal with him yet, so your mission is to find out what Ruvyn's up to."
Dragoshi: "Right, then."
Charles Magellean: "Fine, we'll 'go to Ruvyn' and see what he's trying to do to prevent this alleged collapse of all time."
Groggy Ghost just nods a bit, rubbing its temples...
Metal Man: "We wouldn't be talking about this if it was only alleged. Time is falling apart... haven't you seen what Ivo did to it so far?"
Dragoshi: "...Yes. We have to make sure it won't further deteriorate"
Charles Magellean: "No, and to be honest, sir, I really don't believe that time can collapse."
Metal Man: "The warp room is open." *Points to it.*
Dragoshi glares at Charles with a 'Stop being a damn skeptic' look and walks towards the Warp Room.
Groggy Ghost drifts to the elevator, lazily beckoning the others over its shoulder.
Charles Magellean heads to the room. "Of all the theories of metaphysics and anomalies, this is the one of the most farfetched theories I've come to study."
Metal Man: "I don't need to say anything in defense of it--just that Ivo's gotten a bit of a hold on time..."
Charles Magellean: "Let us be on our way."
Metal Man (GM): You go aboard... and... *WARP*
You appear... in the middle of Kakariko town.
Charles Magellean: "Seems peaceful enough. Where do we begin looking?"
Metal Man (GM): You see you can either walk by the windmill, or up the stairs to the left... no traces of Ruvyn, though.
Over by the windmill, the Cucco lady tends to her flock.
Groggy Ghost looks groggily out and around, looking for any irregularities that might have something to do with Ruvyn... Seeing none, it shrugs and starts heading toward the windmill, drifting up toward it...
Metal Man (GM): A strange-looking man sits at the base of a large, dead tree in the middle of the area you're in.
Charles Magellean: "Stay together, you two. Separating is not an option when we're such a small group."
Dragoshi: "...Understood."
Charles Magellean: "Seeing as how the ghost has wandered off, we better follow him."
Dragoshi is already following the ghost.
Metal Man (GM): You follow him.
Charles Magellean walks up the steps heading towards the windmill. "The last thing we need is a ghost roaming the neighborhood."
Metal Man (GM): The well's full of water, and you can reach the Cucco lady, the graveyard, or just walk into the windmill.
Groggy Ghost just plods through the air, its mind only half-registering what the others are saying as it moves along... It looks back at the others, and goes to roam into the windmill if not halted.
Charles Magellean opens the door to the windmill.
Dragoshi follows the others.
Charles Magellean: "Wraith, I said not to separate from the group! We can't go wandering around alone when Ruvyn is around!"
Metal Man (GM): You walk inside... and see the windmill man.
Groggy Ghost winces a bit, waving its hand at Charles as its other hand holds the side of its head... It nods a bit, mumbling incoherently as it starts eyeing around...
Windmill Man: "What brings you inside my windmill?"
Charles Magellean: "Don't make me use magic to force my point, ghost. Ahhh, the Song of Storms. I never get tired of hearing it."
Windmill Man: "...That is a good question... why is a ghost here, too? ...Are you... friends of that man... who played that horrible tune?"
Charles Magellean begins to waltz around the room, holding out his hands as if he is holding an invisible partner.
Windmill Man: "Oh how I loathe him! If it wasn't for the chaos which changed the village about, the windmill would still be moving too fast!"
Groggy Ghost blinks a bit as it looks at Charles, scratching its head gingerly...
Charles Magellean: "Nah, we're just the Questers. In fact, we've come to look for said man. One, two, three four, and one, two, three, four..."
Windmill Man: "You want to find Link? I haven't seen him in years... Otherwise, I'd hurl a rock at him myself!"
Charles Magellean: "...Whoops. We've had a sort of miscommunication right there..."
Windmill Man: "Who is it you seek?"
Dragoshi just leans against the wall.
Charles Magellean: "We look for the remnants of Kuja. A man with a halo. Do you know where he is?"
Windmill Man: "A man... with a halo? I haven't seen such a thing... aren't those supposed to be angels?"
Dragoshi: "...Yep."
Charles Magellean: "Angels, demons, they are all the same. His name is Revanent Ruvyn. Something about phoenix's or another---" *Bumps into a wall.*
Windmill Man: "...Name... phoenixes... anything else?"
Charles Magellean shakes his head and begins waltzing again.
"No, although I've been curious about this windmill for a long time."
Groggy Ghost just shrugs a bit, idly backing toward the door, deciding they'd probably better look elsewhere...
Windmill: "...It's merely a windmill."
Dragoshi: "...Well, seeing as there's nothing else to say... Think we should look elsewhere?"
Charles Magellean: "That's just it. The song that you are playing right now is the Song of Storms, the EXACT same song that Link played. How in the world could Link's Ocarina affected the windmill while you play it all the time and nothing happens? I'm inclined to agree with the recruit. There's nothing else for us to here to do unless one of you want to be my partner in dancing."
*He stops waltzing.*
Windmill Man: "The ocarina lends a magical quality... an EVIL MAGICAL quality! How I hate it!"
Dragoshi chuckles at the line about dancing "I'm not really much of a dancer, but I think we should, iunno, search the graveyard? ...Or not. You decide."
Charles Magellean raises an eyebrow. "You hate the Royal Family's Ocarina of Time? Well well well, I don't think they'll like to hear that."
Groggy Ghost looks to Dragoshi at the statement about the graveyard, nodding in agreement...
Dragoshi does the same as Charles.
Groggy Ghost cringes visibly at each slam of the door, letting out a ghastly moan as it drifts out through the wall...
Windmill Man raises a hand... then the door shuts.
"...I believe I should hate them now. They tracked dirt all over my floor! Arrrrghh!!!! " *Kicks wall angrily.*
Metal Man (GM): You're now wandering towards the graveyard.
Groggy Ghost sticks with the others... wondering if it'll meet a few of its friends in the area when they get there.
Charles Magellean begins to feel nervous... he is clearly truly showing fear.
Dragoshi still keeps the same calm expression as they wander towards the graveyard.
Metal Man (GM): It begins... raining... as you enter the graveyard.
Charles Magellean trembles as he walks more slowly, looking left and right, his head shaking.
Metal Man (GM): You can feel the darkness, the shadow.
Lightning strikes in the distance.
Groggy Ghost looks back and raises an eyebrow toward Charles, taking out its dex...
Dragoshi looks at Charles "...You okay?"
Charles Magellean looks beyond the Royal Family's tomb... He gets a severe chill down his spine.
Metal Man (GM): The head gravestone looks strangely luminescent... though otherwise it's just normally creepy.
Dragoshi walks towards the head gravestone to get a closer look
He then motions the others to follow before continuing on.
Groggy Ghost sends a message to Charles' dex. '...What do you fear, friend?'
Charles Magellean: "Be-beyond the graveyard is the Shadow Temple , the place of eternal darkness where even time is consumed."
Metal Man (GM): You reach the head tombstone.
All of you, including the Wraith, would notice it being consumed by darkness.
Not just normal darkness... but bitter, black darkness.
Groggy Ghost raises an eyebrow... and fades away shortly, to look into the ethereal realm...
Metal Man (GM): The faint outline of a person could be seen by Wratih...
Groggy Ghost: "...Who goes there...?"
Metal Man (GM): You sense a large amount of evil within... ...dormant evil.
Groggy Ghost narrows its eyes, scrutinizing this figure carefully, trying to see if it's at all familiar or recognizable...
Metal Man (GM): That... is the difficulty.
You can't really make out any one being. However, your presence awakens it.
The tombstone in the material realm begins to crack.
Charles Magellean: "..." O_O "..."
*He steps back... many steps.*
Dragoshi: "...What the-?"
Groggy Ghost backs slightly away, reaching a hand into its torso warily... And ready to poof back to the physical realm.
Dragoshi steps back with Charles.
Charles Magellean: "I don't wanna be here... I REALLY don't wanna be here."
Metal Man (GM): Streams of light fly forth from the tombstone, before it finally explodes entirely.
You hear some ancient words, spoken by an unknown voice.
???: "From the destruction of great evil, the energy of the dark ones reincarnates forever again."
Groggy Ghost: "...?..."
Dragoshi: "...?"
Metal Man (GM): A man shrouded in shadow stands before you. Only the light from his strange, green eyes, can be seen.
Charles Magellean: "...The next great threat. Oh, I just want to find the haloed man and leave."
Groggy Ghost turns its head slightly to the side, eyes still focused on the shadow. "...Who are you...?"
Charles Magellean said that in a fearful voice.
Dragoshi: "...Yes, who are you anyway?"
???: "Great... threat? Who... am I?"
*Shakes his head* "Irrelevant questions.
What purpose is there to my being here? I do not recognize this place."
Metal Man (GM): The mysterious being walks over and kicks over a tombstone.
Dragoshi: "...Huh. Talk about odd."
Charles Magellean: "I... I didn't ask a question. A ghost here just disappeared, and the next thing I knew this tombstone cracked..."
???: "Your friend appears to have awakened me from a slumber so deep it resembled death."
Groggy Ghost sees the being moving about, but doesn't hear what he's saying? Or nea?
Metal Man (GM): He walks to the railing, with his back facing you.
Lightning strikes right before him.
Dragoshi: "...Interesting. ...Woah!"
Charles Magellean face of fear fades away, and in it's place... his mood swing.
Dragoshi steps back a little bit.
Charles Magellean: "*Sarcastic tone* Oh, goody. Once again, a Quester has become impulsive in nature and just unsealed something we don't know."
Groggy Ghost: "I... apologize for disturbing your slumber. It was not intentional."
???: "...Apologize? That is not needed." *He turns around suddenly* "The time has come."
Charles Magellean claps. "Applause, applause. No other organization has had a high rate as us."
Dragoshi: "...Yes, quite. But, what time?"
Groggy Ghost reappears on the physical plane, figuring the others must be saying something and wanting to at least be able to hear them...
???: *Turns towards Charles* "Your fate is set to do so... you would do better not to question the whims of the lifestream."
Charles Magellean stops clapping.
Dragoshi: "...Life... stream? Any idea what he's talking about?" *He looks toward Charles.*
Charles Magellean: "I question the whims of the Quester's INTELLIGENCE."
???: "I sense it..." *Holds his head* "The... ringing... I have returned... to claim... what?"
Dragoshi: "..."
Metal Man (GM): The dark figure shimmers for a moment, before impulsively raising a fist, then falling onto one knee, apparently in agony.
???: "...The path... was destroyed... this is my last chance."
Charles Magellean: .oO(How does he know of the Farplane?)
Dragoshi: "...Last chance for what?"
Groggy Ghost raises an eyebrow, checking the ethereal realm again momentarily to see if anything has changed... if not, it soon returns to the physical plane.
Metal Man (GM): He shakes again, then stands... and kicks the railing down, using it as a ramp as he walks towards the town.
Charles Magellean: "My guess is 'You cannot understand.' "
???: "Traitors... traitors... all of them. They will pay with their blood."
Dragoshi: "...Yeah. Prolly' woul-...Traitors. Huh"
Groggy Ghost: .oO(...Well, shit.)
Charles Magellean: "Yeep. He's gone."
Groggy Ghost: "...Who are these traitors you speak of?"
Metal Man (GM): He raises a hand as lightning rakes the immediate area ahead of him, blowing up the tombstones and lighting fires.
He stops when spoken to... and then begins laughing.
???: "Traitors... to my ancestors..."
Dragoshi: "...Ancestors?"
Metal Man (GM): He laughs and raises his hand further; causing a huge fireball to burn down a nearby tree.
???: "You... are the instruments of fate. Do not question your purpose."
Groggy Ghost: "Do... these traitors have any labels?"
Charles Magellean raises his hand in the air, looking up, shaking his head, and just goes off back to the town.
Dragoshi: "...Instruments?"
Metal Man (GM): He shakes his head, then begins walking away towards the town.
Groggy Ghost scratches its head again...
Metal Man (GM): You follow him, as he walks into the main area near the windmill.
Dragoshi: .oO(...So many questions... So few answers)
???: "All of this... is an insult to this planet."
Groggy Ghost follows as well, occasionally poofing into the ethereal realm for a glimpse then back again...
Charles Magellean sighs.
Metal Man (GM): The Wraith would see immense power flowing into the being from the very realm he's in.
Charles Magellean: "Okay, I better ask this. Do you have some role to play in the 'Time Calamity' that some select people are talking about?"
Metal Man (GM): It appears to be making the figure more complete, as it appears to raise its hand to destroy the Cucco lady's house, and then lowers it.
Dragoshi: "...Holy *Draconic*!"
Metal Man (GM): But, of course, the house isn't... destroyed... because he only moved his hands.
???: "I... must not be complete yet. It is not time for the traitors to die."
Metal Man (GM): He turns to Charles.
???: "You speak nonsense. The promised land is at hand."
Charles Magellean: "Okay, you so don't. That's all I need to know."
Metal Man (GM): Then he suddenly flies upwards, past Charles, with such force he knocks Charles over.
He vanishes out into the sky... apparently he didn't have enough power to destroy the 'traitors' he spoke of.
Charles Magellean gets up from the ground, brushing himself off.
Metal Man (GM): The graveyard behind you is a total loss, having been brutally burnt to the ground with chain lightning he fired from his right hand.
Groggy Ghost eyes around the ethereal realm a bit more before poofing back into the physical realm, looking... quite puzzled. It gets its dex out again...
Charles Magellean: "Apparently, mannerisms weren't conducted during his time as well."
Dragoshi: "...Promised Land? What the hell is he talking about?"
Metal Man (GM): Lightning so powerful it burnt the rock black and melted steel.
You still haven't found Ruvyn yet... the Cucco lady runs up to you.
Charles Magellean: "If you want to know, you have to ask differently than how you usually go about it."
Cucco Lady: "...It's that man from my nightmares! ...But how?"
Charles Magellean looks to here calmly.
"I'll give you three guesses."
Groggy Ghost looks quizzically to the lady, canting its head to the side... It waves a hand forward signaling to continue.
Dragoshi: "...Your nightmares? Do tell."
Cucco Lady: "For the last couple days... no... years... I dreamt of a man in black destroying m-my house.
He started out only as a wisp of darkness... but..."
Metal Man (GM): She looks down.
Charles Magellean: "Congratulations. You've been a victim of another Quester blunder."
Groggy Ghost eyes over toward Charles. >.>
Cucco Lady: "It became gradually worse over time... The last one was only slightly less dark than the being you just let loose."
Dragoshi does the same as Wraith. <_<;
Cucco Lady: "...Don't take it personally, a man with wings came there and shouted invocations to some dark master."
Dragoshi: "...Ah. Odd. ...Wait, wait, WAIT."
Charles Magellean: "That would a person still loyal to Kuja."
Dragoshi: "...The damn phoenix did WHAT?!"
Groggy Ghost sends another message to Charles' dex. 'Obviously we didn't create or trigger what is going on here... It's not a blunder of ours this time.'
Charles Magellean ignores the dex, not wanting to hear any excuses.
Cucco Lady: "...He said something about Kuja... then he sort of ran away from the graveyard, saying 'I found the wrong one'. So odd..."
Dragoshi: "...Very."
Charles Magellean: "Not really. Haven't you noticed that stuff like this happens very often around us?"
Groggy Ghost hmm's phantasmically, then points in several different directions quizzically...
Cucco Lady: "He vanished under the middle of the ground over there... it's some sort of secret room." *She points at the center of the main plaza, just a little north of the tree*
"The graveyard had been lumbering under the curse that man made for a little while now... no one dared go there."
Charles Magellean: "...!" *Checks on the Stone of Agony.*
Dragoshi: "...Huh."
Cucco Man: "It's for the better the darkness left."
Metal Man (GM): It would be vibrating... just a little.
Charles Magellean: "Ahhh... Ganondorf, I still owe him for giving this to me."
*He looks to the lady.* "Um, a gift from him to help us defeat Kuja. Apparently, it still works, only in a different manner.
We'll be going to find the phoenixes now. You take care of yourself and your precious cuccos."
Cucco Lady: "...Be careful... they could be up to something."
Dragoshi: "...Understood."
Charles Magellean: "They are, but one last thing... are your cuccos nearby?"
Metal Man (GM): She points at the pen right next to her house.
They're safe, despite having the arm of a lightning-throwing maniac pointed at them.
Charles Magellean: "Thank you. Recruits, go near the tree and stay away from the odd man standing near it... I'm going to make positive that they're safe." *He heads on over to the pen.*
Dragoshi does as Charles says.
Groggy Ghost raises an eyebrow, seeming rather irked about the 'recruit' thing, but drifting over toward the tree anyway...
Charles Magellean goes up to the pen and counts how many Cuccos there are.
Metal Man (GM): You walk over... and see... uhh... all of them are in there. Seriously. (I don't remember how many were in OoT... 7?)
Charles Magellean: "Now I'm gonna see why the Links did this..."
*He stands next to the fence. Without the lady hearing him, he begins to stick out his tongue and blow raspberries at them.*
Metal Man (GM): They begin running away from you and into the wall.
Charles Magellean snickers. "Now I understand." He walks away to the tree, not wanting to invoke the great Cucco Rampage of '06.
He turns his head occasionally to make sure that the cuccos aren't going to follow him and take their penance out on the Lunarian.
Metal Man (GM): They seem scared rather than injured.
Charles Magellean meets up with the others.
Groggy Ghost tilts its head to the side at Charles, then just shrugs and drifts down a bit, sticking its hand through the ground to make sure it can move through, then following with its face if so, to look around...
Metal Man (GM): Wraith would notice a whole 'nother room, full of people talking, right below.
Charles Magellean checks the Stone of Agony. Yeah, it's rumbling.
Groggy Ghost keeps its head in the ground, and signals the others to follow as it drifts on down, clinging into the 'ceiling' of the room so that its face just barely pokes out of it so that it can see what's going on... It also drifts laterally away from the hole which may or may not get blasted.
Dragoshi follows the Wraith.
Charles Magellean pokes his head through the hole.
Metal Man (GM): The main problem is that it's literally underground with no hole.
You'd need... a bomb or deathray to blast it open.
Charles Magellean: "Okay, the Stone of Agony is shaking like crazy, which means we need something that is explosive."
Dragoshi: "...Indeed."
Charles Magellean looks to the recruit with his head still up above the ground.
"Unless you have something meaningful to say, please refrain from merely adding on.
Now all I have are... spells."
Dragoshi: "...All I have are spells as well. ...Hmmm... Maybe I can use Earth Bite to rupture the hole... Nah. Too noisy."
Charles Magellean: "I'd buy a Hyrulian bomb, but I've started to leave all my money at HQ since thieves can take a sack as big as mine without my knowing. Around... a month ago."
Steadying Spirit observes the underground room for a while, but when it notices the others aren't following, it drifts back up to them...
Dragoshi: "...Not gonna ask, then. ...So, I guess we're stuck. ...Great. Now if only we had some C4 ...Wait, that'd be even noisier"
Steadying Spirit rolls its eyes, procures a red stone from within its chest, and aims it at the spot where the hole is...
Metal Man (GM): Easy enough.
Steadying Spirit just waits for objections before acting...
Charles Magellean: "Don't make it too noisy. Use subtlety."
Steadying Spirit ponders for a moment... then switches out for the purple stone rather than red.
Dragoshi just gives an 'OK' signal.
Charles Magellean: "Give me a nod if that's less of a noisemaker than the red one."
Steadying Spirit nods to Charles. Twice.
Charles Magellean: "Good. Start whenever you're ready."
Metal Man (GM): It is cut open; you can leap on in.
The Wraith then resumes its former post in the ceiling of the room, going through the ground next to the hole.
Metal Man (GM): Inside... Ruvyn is talking to a motley crew. In fact, it's strange in its arrangement.
Charles Magellean pokes his head through the hole, just enough to see and listen without being looked at. "Don't jump in."
Metal Man (GM): Aligned down below you is none other than... ex-IIF agents, former Denon soldiers, mostly Kuja Infantrymen... and standing right next to Ruvyn, the only surviving original Supersoldier.
Ruvyn stands on a platform; he is yelling.
Dragoshi does the same as the others.
Revenant Ruvyn: "We must use the alternate route to save ourselves from this event the heathens have caused! WE MUST... TAKE THE HOLY REALM FOR OURSELVES!"
Metal Man (GM): They cheer, as he then brings out several suitcases.
Dragoshi: .oO(...What the hell?)
Revenant Ruvyn: "Here I have brought the last supplies of the Ivan Investigation Force. Enough to replenish your battered weapons and equipment."
Charles Magellean: "...So that's what the IIF stood for."
Revenant Ruvyn: "Our objective... is to get to the Dark World and take it for ourselves. With Ganondorf dead in this world, his soul is trapped there once more. With it in place... we can wish for ourselves... escape from this catastrophic event!"

Steadying Spirit raises an eyebrow, just as confused as Charles about the same subject.
Metal Man (GM): The Denon supersoldier raises a metallic hand. He coughs hoarsely, as his existence has clearly been a battered one.
???: "Being the last one of my kind... I have laid out the plans exactly. There is no room for failure... you all know what happened with that. We must invade his castle and mow down his men, then destroy his spirit with the weaponry of our trade. Ruvyn can use his holy magic to annihilate him once the castle is secure.
Then the Dark World... can become the Phoenix realm!"
Metal Man (GM): A man raises his hand... the only person who seems concerned.
Man: "But... what of the being you released?"
Steadying Spirit: .oO(Hah... that HE released, not I...)
Dragoshi: .oO(...I'm wondering the same thing as that man.)
Charles Magellean: "...Being?"
Revenant Ruvyn: "...Well, we will be living in eternal paradise away from him. No matter what his purpose... he will not effect us. His soul told me directly we were of a special kind... not related to the common traitor, but considered 'repentant'."
Charles Magellean: "...I can't believe it. For once, a Quester didn't blunder."
Revenant Ruvyn: "And so, we shall not find ourselves hunted by the relentless magical power he suggested he had."
Dragoshi looks at Charles for a split second then goes back to listening. ;;>_>

Metal Man (GM): He chants some words, and a white portal appears. Men begin entering it en masse.

Charles Magellean: "You two stay here. I'm going down. Stay here until I give the word." *He drops down.*
Steadying Spirit raises an eyebrow, but just watches...
Dragoshi nods, and watches.
Revenant Ruvyn: *Looks to Charles* "Rather odd to see you here. What with your blundering by allowing the dark being to sense fear."
Charles Magellean walks forward.
Revenant Ruvyn: "And you ignore the Time Calamity... that is even worse."
Charles Magellean: "That's correct. I will not stand to hear that this collapse of time will happen."

Metal Man (GM): The Denon Supersoldier raises his gun-arm to fire, but Ruvyn pushes it away.
Revenant Ruvyn: "Kuja himself said so. He said it to me... I was his only heir. He would not tell a lie to the person charged with maintaining his legacy."
Charles Magellean snarls.
"How many people know about this?"
Dragoshi whispers to the Wraith "...His only heir. ...That's a little odd."
Charles Magellean: "You, your followers, The Void, Kuja, The Questers... I suppose Ivo also knows about this? Or how about Ganondorf?"
Dragoshi: *Still whispering to Wraith* "...But, then again, who am I to judge?"
Steadying Spirit is just listening and watching...

Metal Man (GM): He laughs bitterly.

Charles Magellean: "Ah yes, the Glass Fortress. I doubt that wasn't pleasant for Kuja. Nor was his death."
Revenant Ruvyn: *Twitches* "Have you had enough fun traipsing upon forbidden sayings?"
Charles Magellean: "I have a mutual understanding when it comes to losing your God."
Steadying Spirit pulls out the grey stone to accompany the purple, though still doesn't lower from its hiding spot...
Charles Magellean: "When I was kidnapped by the Solarians for 10 years, I could not do anything except be subject to pain only described in nightmares."
Dragoshi waits along with Wraith.
Charles Magellean: "Hoping for death, the Grim Reaper as being my only salvation. I could not hear Lord Bahamut's words."
Editor's Note: I honestly have no clue what this supposed incident is or was, and have to wonder what nonsense the player invented... given Solarians only arose during SSQ's time as a counter to Lunarians, and mostly only did things afterwards.
Revenant Ruvyn: "If you continue to defile the glorious one, you may remember that pain."
Metal Man (GM): He grins, lifting up a fist loaded with unknown energy.
Charles Magellean frowns. "Forgive me. I have not seen such devotion for a long time."
Revenant Ruvyn: "I have what powers I have through my faith, which you lack in your own God... for doth not he praise tolerance?"
Charles Magellean: "Touche. It's a shame YOURS had the idea of interfering in my business when I first set foot on the Thirteen Gentlemen's satellite. His machines on my homeworld. As far as I'm concerned, my blood vendetta is gone. He had no right to do so."
Revenant Ruvyn: "The God sayeth that my time with you is limited. The great Calamity cometh, and my mission... is to survive... to make a world solely of his vision."
Charles Magellean: "His... or your interpretation of his?"
Revenant Ruvyn: *Speaks in an odd voice* "Do not question the validity of his vision through me!"
Metal Man (GM): His voice reverts to normal; he pants a bit, as if some energy possessed him.
Revenant Ruvyn: "...You can't ignore that, can you?"

Charles Magellean: "I'm able to, but all I'm saying is be careful. What one person wants and another person's interpretations of that person wants can be inaccurate if not done in an exact way."

Dragoshi just stays in his position, still curious.
Metal Man (GM): Not so much higher but a sort of scattered bits of something that looks dead. Almost as if Ruvyn brought some fragments and made them a part of him. His soul would actually look as if parts of it had been replaced with parts of Kuja's... the whole not being Kuja, of course, but rather the religious pro-Kuja being he is today.
Revenant Ruvyn: "The wants are embedded into my very soul. I cannot change them."
Steadying Spirit reappears back into the physical realm, rubbing its chin...
Charles Magellean: "Very well. I'll just have to take a leap of faith and trust you on that."
Revenant Ruvyn: "While I would like muchly to just have you stop the Calamity... it is my vision to save ourselves from unbelievers. ...I am one minute past the time. That, too, I cannot allow to be breached."
Charles Magellean grows angered.
Metal Man (GM): He walks into the portal.
The Denon man gives you a salute from Denon's own original army... an insulting gesture, seeing as it's aimed to mock the Magellean Military.
Charles Magellean: "Know this, soldiers. Tell him I'll stay out of his business if he stays outta mine. Kuja did that before and look where that got him.
A good, clean death."
Dragoshi wonders if it's a good idea to jump down, or still watch. He decides upon the latter.
Metal Man (GM): A flick of his arm moving the tip of his metallic hand from a horizontal one and swiveling to a vertical one.
???: "Look what it got for you... slave of the Questers."
Metal Man (GM): He walks into the portal.
Then the portal closes.

Dragoshi decides that it's safe to walk down then.

Nothing remains of the soldiers, and the area is pretty empty now.
Charles Magellean: "What wonderful irony. I may live with the Questers, but I'm not one of them. I didn't sign the contract."
Steadying Spirit drifts on down, putting its stones away and taking out its dex...
Charles Magellean looks to where the portal closes. "Still, he makes a point."
Steadying Spirit sends a message to Charles' dex. 'What he said about Kuja's will being embedded in his spirit... may be more true than he's even aware of himself.'
Dragoshi: "...?"
Charles Magellean: .oO(Even though he started the verbal assault, all I could do was fight back doing the same thing.)
*He opens the dex. He reads it.
* "What do I care? The Kuja I know that desecrated my world has payed for his crimes.
As I see it, even if Kuja's will lives on, those that have his power aren't Kuja... just followers."
Steadying Spirit: "Just thought it'd be interesting to know that parts of Kuja's own being seem to continue existing directly through Ruvyn... Parts of Ruvyn's soul are more like Kuja than anything else."
Dragoshi: "...That may be the case but sometimes the followers can come out worse than their leaders..."
Charles Magellean's epiphany has finally come full circle. He looks at Dragoshi... with almost cold, blankless stare.
"...It's more than sometimes."
*He turns to where the portal was.*

Charles Magellean: "We're done here. Let's leave."
Metal Man (GM): A burnt piece of ground... which lights up with the warp back to HQ instead, now.
Steadying Spirit nods a bit, and starts drifting back up, but sees the warp, shrugs, and follows that instead.
Dragoshi: "...Right." *Dragoshi walks towards the warp, but before he does he checks to see if there's anything he may have overlooked. He then thinks he's overthinking and enters the warp.*
Charles Magellean thinks of something. He nods a moment later.
"Nintendus... is better off."
*He enters it.
He goes into his room and picks up a pencil and paper. He begins writing down a letter.*
Steadying Spirit just drifts on back to its room... It's still got a bit of a headache to get rid of.
Dragoshi decides upon whether reporting this to Mets or going back to his room and letting Charles handle it...
"...Eh. Maybe some other time some other mission's completed." *Goes back to his room.*
Steadying Spirit would be able to convey the events to Metal through the dex should he inquire, but otherwise just keeps to itself.

It's the big room, again, of course. Metal appears to be more worried, as usual.
He stares at a fat stack of information.
Metal Man: "This just in... Ivo Robotnik accelerating his research. Even without our time stone, he's nearly ready to use them to take over all time again."
Editor's Note: I like how Ivo Robotnik taking over all of time is some sort of weather condition that is casually discussed, rather than a major calamity.
Dragoshi is leaning against a wall of the room. "...What appears to be the problem, boss? ...Oh, hell."
Metal Man: "...Because he did it once on another planet, he's become very experienced... and can do it without all of them."
Gibby is sitting on a chair in the room and leans back on it. "Oh, lovely..."
Dragoshi: "Well, we can't have any of that, now can we?"
Aetos: "Isn't he only missing one or two anyways?..."
Metal Man: "Only one."
Dragoshi: "One."
Metal Man: "It gets worse."
*He leans on a wall, bringing up an image of a base... under the sea.*
Dragoshi groans when Metal says 'Worse'
"...Huh."
Metal Man: "He has picked the most protected location on Nintendus. We didn't know it was there until he activated his Time Machine."
Gibby: "Where's that?"
Dragoshi: "Yes, where?"
Metal Man: "A crater deep below Lake Hyrule."
Dragoshi: "...Not good."
Metal Man: "It's far enough down the rock and water naturally hide electrical signals. It was invisible until now."
Gibby: "A clever spot indeed."
Dragoshi: "Question is, is it too far below for us to warp into?"
Metal Man: "We can... barely... make it there. With the help of Gunicard."
Dragoshi: "...Ah."
Metal Man: "He only made one mistake; it's impossible to warp through the ground, but by now, satellites exist. ...But... for all we know, this was made long before any warp-capable satellites existed.
The only record we have of the area was a short-lived prison which was destroyed."
Dragoshi: "How short-lived was it? Days? Months?"
Metal Man: "Under a few months. It was built and abandoned. Then destroyed."
Charles Magellean: "By one of my former machine allies and what it was facing off against, I presume."
Metal Man: "When you are ready, you will warp into the top floor. You are to break into the bottom lab and stop him at all costs."
Gibby glances over at Charles and then back at Metal.
Metal Man: "I don't know anything about it other than that."
Dragoshi: "Understood, sir."
Charles Magellean: "We may also have to consider the possibility that he will come after ours."
Gibby: "We'll figure it out."
Metal Man: "If he gets even one piece of his machine online, he'll be able to come after any place on the world simultaneously. That is the point of no return, unless one can fight seven of him at once."
Gibby: "No pressure..."
Metal Man: "We have one advantage; the machine is incredibly slow to activate."
Dragoshi: "So, we'll either have to destroy the machine itself or take away the power source... Or at least-Well, that's good to hear"
Metal Man: "The warp is ready... eheh..." *Points at the elevator.*
Gibby: "Alright, lets do this!"
Dragoshi: "If that's the case, we must leave, posthaste." *Dragoshi walks towards the elevator.*

Metal Man (GM): You get aboard, and hear the warp charging up... this is a very power-using operation.
Charles Magellean: "Metal, do you have any preparations in case this is a very well plotted ploy to get our Time Stone?"
*He climbs onto the warp.*
Metal Man: "He doesn't need it. The energy readings can only be made if he's doing the real thing.
Because otherwise we wouldn't know he was there...

Charles Magellean: "I've come to believe that he always has several aces hidden in his sleeves. Guard the base."
Metal Man: "With good reason. Godspeed."
*He looks to the others (Anyone who appears later is assumed to have come aboard da elevator by now)*
Julian Sawyer: *And Julian makes it in the door! He must have been taking a nap.*
Gibby: "How nice of you to join us, Julian."
Dragoshi: "...Just on time, Jules."
Metal Man waves as... err... Julian climbs aboard just in time.

Gibby: "Ugh... that got me really dizzy this time."
Metal Man (GM): Apparently you just barely made it here.
Dragoshi shakes his head
"...Same. But we must'nt dillydally."
Julian Sawyer: "...The hell was that?"
Metal Man (GM): You're in a plain metallic room, which looks mostly empty, besides a chair with chains on it.
Charles Magellean lands, crouching to the ground. He gets up.
Metal Man (GM): There are no stairs... no elevators... no transportation, not even defenses... or lights.
Gibby walks over to the chair with chains. "Hey, what's this thing?"
Metal Man (GM): It's just ambient light.
The chair itself would be remembered by Aetos.
Charles Magellean rubs his face, looking left and right. "Ohhh, I hate the suspense before a trap."
Julian Sawyer: "Don' touch it... So we just gotta get down to the bottom, and bust the machine? Easy... But I'm wonderin' how we gonna actually go down." *Looks for a way down.*
Metal Man (GM): None.
The Bad Doctor is intelligent... he must have estimated the distance down to the feet.
Aetos crosses his arms.
Dragoshi: "..."
Metal Man (GM): There's no way out of here... warping you back, even, would be nearly impossible.
There is just an empty room, a chair, and a metal-plated floor.
Julian Sawyer: "Hmph. Gonna hafta make a way then." *Julian takes out Vendetta, and uses the Jedi Door Opening Trick on the floor, hoping to cut open a hole for which to jump down. Like in the movies!*
Metal Man (GM): You stab the floor... and your sword reappears out of the ceiling above you.

Julian Sawyer: "LAY INTO 'EM! BREAK HIS SHIELD!"
Ivo Robotnik: "It is a fool's errand! You will never succeed! The almighty Ivo Robotnik will triumph!"
Gibby unsheaths his sword and goes flying towards Robotnik's shield. He attacks the shield with four slashes from his sword.
Metal Man (GM): You slash it all four times; his shield sputters and explodes.

Metal Man (GM): He stands there and slices them into bits with his blades.

Dragoshi: "...Oh, come the HELL on!"
Gibby: "Level 3? That can't be good."
Julian Sawyer: *And pulls out a barbed-wire wrapped bat!* "NOW You gonna get it!" *Julian jumps up, and goes to slam it into the Egg Slicer's glass dome.*
Metal Man (GM): You leap up... and get sliced by the propellers.
Ivo Robotnik: "Bwa-ha-ha-ha!"
Metal Man (GM): Regardless of whether that hit, the propellers are in the way; so you hit one of them instead.
The one you hit flies off of his machine.
Dragoshi: "...Nice one, Jules."
Julian Sawyer: *CRACK!* "Home run!"
Gibby: "That's one."
Metal Man (GM): He now only has 3... which means lessened attack power.
Dragoshi: "...Destroy the propellers!"
Metal Man (GM): Poisoning a machine is hard.
Julian Sawyer manages to tear a fuel line or something.
Metal Man (GM): Anything else?
Julian Sawyer: *Nope.*
Ivo Robotnik: "You cannot possibly win against me!"
Julian Sawyer: "Buncha people said that. We proved 'em wrong!"
Ivo Robotnik: "Bwa-ha-ha-ha!"
Dragoshi: "...Well... Earth Bite!" *Dragoshi attempts to blast down one of the propellers with a charged up Earth Bite.*
Metal Man (GM): He flies at Julian... allowing him to be hit by Dragoshi instead.
He careens off to the side, losing another propeller.
Dragoshi: "Fool! Never ignore an attacker!"
Ivo Robotnik: "Bwa-ha-ha-ha!"
Metal Man (GM): He flies at Dragoshi.
Gibby: "Always with the laughing."
Metal Man (GM): He deals...
26 damage per hit, only Machinegun 1x now.
Dragoshi: "Oof!" (185/325, I believe)
Aetos looks back to the chair
Charles Magellean just stood taking another major chunk outta his hit points. He charges two more orbs, waiting for the timing to come to him... he does so and then fires.
Metal Man (GM): You crack off another one and miss with the other.
Ivo Robotnik: "Your attempts to defeat me will not be completed!"
Julian Sawyer: "Gibby! Get the last one!"
Charles Magellean OOCLY was wondering if the timing took TP to find the pattern of them. Guess not, eh?
Ivo Robotnik: "Yes... just try to stop me, Gibby."
Gibby grows and flies at the last propeller aiming to slash it four time so it comes right off.
Metal Man (GM): You slash it off, then send it flying back into the wall.
Gibby: "Done, and done!"
Dragoshi: "...Nice one, Gibbert."
Metal Man (GM): The glass breaks, and it slowly floats down the hole in the floor, which loses its force field.
It is exploding as it goes.

Dragoshi: "Well, you were a damn annoying bastard, Ivo. Glad to see you got your arse handed to you."
Julian Sawyer: "Alright, time's a'wastin'! Let's go!" *Julian jumps up, activates his Rocket Boots and follows after.*
Gibby sheaths his sword and wipes his hands. "There we go. Now onward!" He follows Julian.
Dragoshi pulls out an Ultra Shroom, eats it recovering his health, and follows Jules by flying.
Aetos looks like Wolverine as his scratches and wounds slowly heal up within a minute...
Charles Magellean goes down with the rest.
Aetos hops down too...
Metal Man (GM): You fall down a long ways, then land at the bottom of a massive room.
Gibby: "NOW where are we?"
Metal Man (GM): The lights suddenly flicker on... this is a massive hangar.
Dragoshi: "...Hmm... Holy crap."
Charles Magellean: "The true... beginning."
Metal Man (GM): In front of you is a machine with... 1... 3... 6... ...7 Time Stones?
Julian Sawyer: "...This don't look like no time machine... WHERE'D HE GET THE LAST ONE?!"
Dragoshi: "...What the hell?"
Gibby: "Woah... look at them all."
Metal Man (GM): And it appears to have been the one used last to send Julian into the future.
It is warming up... apparently it just completed a warp.
Julian Sawyer: "...He just went back!"
Metal Man (GM): You see Eggman walking out of the portal atop it...
He's wearing cybernetic-styled armor.
Charles Magellean: "Did Robotnik... find a way of replicating a Time Stone?"
Julian Sawyer: "..."
Dragoshi glares at Ivo"...You!"
Ivo Robotnik: "The time has come... to play my whole deck!"
Gibby: "AH! YOU!"
Julian Sawyer: "****."
Metal Man (GM): He presses several buttons.
Computer: "TIME CALAMITY ACTIVATOR ONLINE. CHARGING UP TIME STONES."
Julian Sawyer: "THE WHAT?!"
Ivo Robotnik: "Yes... soon... I shall rule all of time... by restarting it in my image!"
Dragoshi: "...*REALLY long line of Draconic curse words*."
Metal Man (GM): He pulls out a lever... breaking it, even.
Computer: "EMERGENCY SHUTOFF SWITCH DESTROYED."
Dragoshi: "..."
Metal Man (GM): He then shoots out the control panel to his machine with a laser on one of his arms.
Computer: "CONTROLS DISABLED; MACHINE JAMMED IN TIME CALAMITY MODE."
Gibby: "Aw crap..."
Dragoshi: "...Oh, cosmic hellfire"."
Ivo Robotnik: "There is nothing you can do... for the machine you seek to stop has been jammed into the position I desire."
Charles Magellean: "But how... How did you get the FINAL Time Stone??"
Aetos rolls his eyes.
Ivo Robotnik: "I went back in time and took it at the exact moment you were in the warp, then replaced it with a carbon copy."
Julian Sawyer: "...Can't do this if you don't have the stones!" *Julian whips out Vendetta again, aiming to carve the thing containing the stones out of the machine!*
Metal Man (GM): You walk towards them... but Robotnik is in the way.
Ivo Robotnik: "You want a fight? YOU WANT A FIGHT? The real battle is now, fools!"
Dragoshi: .oO(...We could REALLY use some backup!)
Charles Magellean: "So... once again, you were one step ahead of us."
Ivo Robotnik: "Yes... even if you succeed... the Time Stones will never be yours!"
Charles Magellean shakes his head, and takes out Robotnik's Coffee Cup.
Gibby: "Grrr..."
*He unsheaths his sword. * "You're not getting away with it this time, Ivo!"
Charles Magellean: "This is yours, isn't it?"
Metal Man (GM): He strikes a pose, looking at it.
Ivo Robotnik: "It serves no purpose to me now... what do you have to say about it?"
Charles Magellean throws it to the ground, breaking it.
Ivo Robotnik: *Smiles* "You are but an fool."
Julian Sawyer: "...You tryin' to make some kinda statement there, Charles?"
Gibby: "...Uhh... was there a point to that?" -_-;
Metal Man (GM): He holds out a hand... and it suddenly reforms itself and reappears in Ivo's hand.
Ivo Robotnik: "Time is mine to control!"
Metal Man (GM): He then tosses it over his shoulder, into the ever-increasing portal.
Ivo Robotnik: "Now... get ready to be schooled!"
Charles Magellean: "I say that now I will not show any more kindness for you."
Dragoshi: .oO(...Seriously. Where's the damn cavalry when we REALLY need it!?)
Metal Man (GM): Order: Robotnik, Julian, Dragoshi, Charles, Gibby, Aetos
Ivo Robotnik: "Get a load of this!"
Metal Man (GM): 50 laser damage, machinegun 2x. He fires it... at Charles.
A blue cutting ray, that is.
Julian Sawyer: "I'm gonna run right through you, chump!" *Julian charges and attempts to grab Mr. CyberIvo, his gloves glowing blood red! DAMN.*
Ivo Robotnik: "Fat chance!" *He literally runs away from you.*
Julian Sawyer: *Outta TP!*
Dragoshi sighs and attempts to swipe at Ivo with his claws and possibly steal something (Five Clawed Discount)
Metal Man (GM): You swipe him, however he has nothing to steal.
Charles Magellean eyes are wide open... his body is split from the torso. The upper part of the body grossly slides in a diagonal way. Both parts of the body fall towards the ground, blood massively pouring out.
Aetos: "Iggh..."
Dragoshi: "...Damn."
Julian Sawyer: "...That's new."
Gibby watches Charles get taken out slasher flick style and growls. He had enough of Robotnik's antics. He uses his turn to save up his TP for the right moment when he could attack with full force. (end turn)
Dragoshi: "...Yeah, seriously."
Aetos passes his turn to save TP too... right...
Metal Man (GM): That's everybody.
Ivo Robotnik: "You won't get away with this!" *He raises his left arm, and attempts to make Julian levitate.*
Metal Man (GM): DC 30 AGI check, Julian.
Julian Sawyer's already kinda doin' that. Y'know, Rocket Boots an' all.
*But whatever!*
Metal Man (GM): Julian is harmlessly lifted into the air... until he is suddenly crushed by gravity, losing half of his current HP.
Dragoshi: "...Owch." *Winces slightly.*
Gibby: "That had to hurt..."
Dragoshi: "...Most definitely."
Julian Sawyer: *GHURK!* "...OW!" *Julian gets back up, coughing* "Mother****er! That hurt!" *Julian tries charging Ivo again, his gloves glowing blood red!*
Metal Man (GM): The fast-moving doctor evades you.
Julian Sawyer: "STAY STILL MOTHER****ER! SO I CAN KILL YOU!" *Julian saves the rest of his TP...*
Dragoshi mutters a few words, and a blast of blue lightning and sparks descend from the air and attempt to strike down Ivo (Indignation)
*Dammit.*
Metal Man (GM): He does an acrobatic floating leap out of the way, doing several flips mid-air.
Ivo Robotnik: "Not even Sonic can hit me now!"
Dragoshi: "...Hmph." *Dragoshi saves the rest of his TP for later...* (EoT)
Gibby: "...I gotta admit, that -was- impressive."
Metal Man (GM): Charles' turn
Dragoshi: "...I suppose... Though, I'm actually surprised he was able to do that"
Charles Magellean ruined body and blood begins to dissipate as a beam of light points at where he died. He is reformed again.
He attacks with 3 orbs of non-elemental energy, aiming at the doctor with a subtle vendetta.
Metal Man (GM): Miss, miss, miss.
He flies backwards, evading them.
Ivo Robotnik: "Pathetic."
Gibby has enough TP now. He twists his sword so that it's positioned across from his eyes, and then darts towards Robotnik. He starts slashing like crazy at the guy giving it all he had.
Metal Man (GM): Miss hit miss hit miss miss miss miss.
He valiantly ducks, weaves, and parries, only getting hit twice.
Gibby leaps back panting and sweating. Only two? Damn... he was good.
Dragoshi: "...Woah. Nice one."
Gibby: "Not good enough though."
Metal Man (GM): The gravity weapon falls off of his left arm and explodes.
A huge Mallet appears in its place.
Dragoshi: "...Well, I think that qualifies as somewhat good, Gi-...Woah."
Julian Sawyer: "'Least he can't do that aga-DAMMIT!"
Gibby: "From bad to worse..."
Metal Man (GM): Aetos' turn
Dragoshi: "...Yeah, seriously!"
Aetos tries his elemental attack once more again Ivo. [Wind buzz-saw-like form] "DIE, BACKSTABBING CENSOREDGASP" AGI check...
Metal Man (GM): He flies around like a madman.
Aetos: *It slices into him anyways. He takes 81 win damage.*
Dragoshi claps as Aetos got a pretty good hit in.
Metal Man (GM): He's hit, but he quickly lands, preparing to attack. brb
Dragoshi: "Good job, man."
Aetos raises an eyebrow at Dragoshi. .oO(...Since when did they notice anything?)
Ivo Robotnik: "You will never defeat the Eggman!"
Metal Man (GM): He makes a pose, as his mecha turns red.
Ivo Robotnik: "Time Stone 1 activated!"
Dragoshi: .oO(...If only we had a walrus...)
Julian Sawyer: "We gotta get those stones outta the time machine!"
Metal Man (GM): He blurs, splitting into two and then both copies doing separate actions.
Copy 1 flies to smash Julian into bits.
100 damage.
Dragoshi: "Or somehow materialize a damn walrus into this plane of existence!"
Metal Man (GM): Copy 2 shoots a HUGE amount of missiles at Dragoshi.
20 fire damage per hit.
They then reform.
Dragoshi avoids the 17s and Chaos controls from the two 18s.
Julian Sawyer: "Gah!" *Julian recovers, downs an Ultra Shroom... and he's out of TP. Next!*
Ivo Robotnik: "Bow down before the master of the universe!"
Gibby: "Yeah, I'd rather not."
Dragoshi is blasted by six torpedoes "Ow." (113/325, I believe.)
Charles Magellean looks around several times... but just shrugs at Ivo.
Ivo Robotnik: "Then I shall slice you into so many pieces you will be left in a bowing position!"
Dragoshi then fires off a blast of wind energy at Ivo, attempting to throw him.
*LUCK.*
Metal Man (GM): He attempts to dodge, but luck is on your side; he is thrown... where?
Dragoshi: "...AS you were saying about bowing down?"
Metal Man (GM): He bounces off the floor, and gets up, laughing.
His missile pack falls off, exploding behind him.
Dragoshi: .oO(...Next time, I throw him into something-Good. At least I destroyed that)
"...Hmph."
Metal Man (GM): In its place... a cloaking device appears. An IIF cloaking device.
Dragoshi: "...Oh, come on!"
Ivo Robotnik: "Bwa-ha-ha-ha!"
Metal Man (GM): He turns invisible and starts flying around.
Gibby: "You've gotta be kidding me."
Dragoshi: "We do not need to deal with an invisible flying tank of lard-coated *Draconic*."
Charles Magellean: "As Julian would sometimes do, I'll fight time with it."
Metal Man (GM): Charles himself would begin glowing... and then Robotnik looking at him. He makes a sort of... knowing glance.
He lands atop the time machine and faces Charles.
Ivo Robotnik: "Show me what you can do, foolish Lunarian!"
Charles Magellean attempts to gather time with Energy Control. "I'm HALF!"
Metal Man (GM): He raises his hands, and begins using his massive intellect to manipulate time against Charles.
He glows and then Charles is stopped, losing his current turn.
Ivo Robotnik: "You never had a chance!"
Metal Man (GM): He floats back up, returning to invisibility.
Gibby watches him turn invisible. He was still tired from his last attack, and he couldn't deal with an invisible Robotnik, so he instead goes into a defense mode and ends his turn.
Aetos waves his arms and rolls his eyes as a sparkling white light flows like wind and absorbs into Dragoshi.
Ivo Robotnik: "I will conquer this world!"
Metal Man (GM): The Wraith lowers down from above.
The Wraith: *Shadows from around the area seem to pull together toward one point near the Questers, forming into... The Wraith. It pulls out its purple and grey stones, and quickly glances around for the enemy...*
Julian Sawyer: "'Bout time you showed up..."
Metal Man (GM): He continues to float around the group, readying to attack again.
Aetos: * You acquire 7 super-spikey hair gels You acquire 4 soft green echo eyedrop antidotes
You acquire 5 cocoa eggshell fragments
You acquire 7 tiny houses
You acquire 5 phonics downs
You acquire 5 scrolls of drastic healing.*
Metal Man (GM): Eggman spots the items Aetos is trying to sell, and blows them up with his lasers.
He loses 1281 meat
..Just kidding.
Aetos snaps his fingers... 8 penultimate fantasy airship treasure chests down the drain.
Dragoshi feels something float into him "...Buh?" (So, what does that heal?)
The Wraith, looks around, trying to spot the enemy... Not seeing any but noticing that the others are all armed, it decides to just prepare, forming a dark barrier around itself.
Ivo Robotnik: "Full power!"
Metal Man (GM): He splits into two clones, who then make their rounds.
Dragoshi: "...*Draconic*."
Metal Man (GM): The first strafes Julian with the cutting laser... AGI check.
The second attempts to turn Gibby into a blue pancake with the mallet.
Julian Sawyer: *LUCK.*
Gibby gets squashed good.
Metal Man (GM): 50 laser damage, machinegun 2x to Julian.
Julian Sawyer: *SCREW YOU.*

Metal Man (GM): Just... 1 below the roll, unfortunately.
Gibby, meanwhile, takes 100 damage from the mallet.
So... only 50 laser damage to Julian.
Dragoshi sees Gibby
.oO(It's like pancake day, 'cept worse.)
Ivo Robotnik: "You shall all be destroyed soon enough..."
Gibby puts his left fin into his mouth and blows into it thus causing his body to reform back to the way it was. Very cartoony, but it works.
Metal Man (GM): He floats around, now reformed... as the mostly invisible guy he was earlier.
Gibby: "How can we spot him while he's invisible?"
Metal Man (GM): You can still target him, of course.
The Wraith watches the bugga fade away a bit, but at least has seen him, so makes it a point to try to follow his movements.
Metal Man (GM): Just that all you see is his outline.
Julian Sawyer weathers the attack. "...Idea." *Julian whips out Vendetta, and rushes towards the machine, aiming to cut out the thing containing the Time Stones with a One-Two Cut!, seeing as how he can't see Ivo.* "You got a choice to make! Either I cut out these stones, or you take the hit!"
Metal Man (GM): And his occasional taunts make him mildly earlier to target.
Ivo Robotnik: "Neither."
Metal Man (GM): He shoots at Julian, attempting to hit him while he's trying to reach the machine. With his laser.
You leap up to the machine, dodging a laser which melts the ground behind you. You slash not one, but two stones... exploding them.
Dragoshi: "...Woah!"
Computer: "TIME CALAMITY INCREASED BY 200%."
Metal Man (GM): Hitting the machine makes them explode.
It's very, very unstable.
You slash the container, causing it to destabilize, and overload the stones in question.
Ah. Well, same diff.
You're damaging the machine. That makes it have to sacrifice Time Stones to keep from exploding on everyone.
You damage the container-holding wires, making it go haywire.
The two stones explode.
Ivo Robotnik: "I predicted you would try that. Can you destroy them all?"
Gibby: "GAH! So explosive."
Ivo Robotnik: "Because if you don't... bwa-ha-ha-ha!"
Dragoshi: "...Of course, being the smartarse you are, you WOULD."
Julian Sawyer: "...Jsht... Motherfu-...ARGH!" *Julian whirls around and goes to smack Ivo in the face with a Haymaker!*
