Editor's Note: Apologies in advance to the poor Gumbo the Goomba... who didn't deserve any of what happened to him or how people treated him.

Julian Sawyer "Yo! Ladies an' gentlemans, welcome to the CAL Beatdown! This here's Julian Sawyer, 'long wit' my broadcast partner SIMBER, comin' at ya LIVE from the Quester Arena! An' we got a historic event on our hands, lemme tell ya! Tonight, perennial loser Gumbo The Goomba's gonna take on every Quester that hasn't taken him out yet, and I hear after this show, he's retirin'! Digifanatic, Trigger, Dragoshi, Alexia, Metal Man, The Ghost, Gibby, AN' Garrick gonna throw down tonight!"

Digifanatic flashes an okay sign as he heads on in...

Julian Sawyer: "But can Gumbo actually get a win tonight? You got anythin' to add to this, SIMBER?"

Metal Man (GM): Order: Digi, Gumbo

SIMBER: "We're going as fast as possible to accommodate our multiple battlers."

Digifanatic knows that this should hopefully be fast and easy. He starts off with a Fire Punch and continues with an Aerial Strike.

Julian Sawyer: "'An after this's over, it's first come, first serve! An' it looks like they's startin'..."

Metal Man (GM): Digi and Gumbo go onto el stage... and Digi misses twice.

Digifanatic is shocked at his first turn...
"Anyone who's watching, I'm sorry!"

Julian Sawyer: "Digi starts off with a coupla' Fire Punches, an' Gumbo's givin' it his all out there, dodgin' both!"

Gumbo: "I'll show you... somehow!"

Metal Man (GM): He slowly tries to headbutt Digi.

Digifanatic scoots out of the way.

Julian Sawyer: "An' Gumbo's on the attack with a headbonk! Too bad he's too slow for Digi!"

Digifanatic: "Okay... that's the throwaway turn... now to get serious."
*He launches two Light Rays and then whacks at Gumbo with his golf club.*

Metal Man (GM): Hit, hit, hit

Digifanatic: *Turn over.*

Julian Sawyer: "Digi brings the focus, layin' into Gumbo wit' two ray a' light and a Driver whack!"

Digifanatic: .oO(That's more like it)

Metal Man (GM): He's looking beaten up... but he attempts a bonk-a-thon on Digi!
15 damage per hit... and one crit! Ow!

Julian Sawyer: "Whoa! Gumbo lashes out with a fury! Looks like that one hurt, SIMBER!"

Digifanatic is hit twice.

Metal Man (GM): 30 damage for crit, 15 for normal hit

SIMBER: "Indeed."

Digifanatic: .oO(This could be more interesting that we all expected...)
*He decides that he still is far from over. He fires off one more Fire Punch and goes for another Light Ray.
He is still somewhat sketchy off of this.*

Metal Man (GM): Miss, miss... he counters with more bonks!

Digifanatic: "You're lucky..."

Metal Man (GM): 15 damage per hit.

Digifanatic is bonked twice...

Julian Sawyer: "An' Digi still can't connect with the Fire Punch as Gumbo rains down the Headbonks!"

SIMBER: "Can Digi survive the endlessly repetitive attack?"

Julian Sawyer: "I thought Gumbo'd have his best chance 'gainst Trigger, but he might be able to put Digi away and score a major upset!"

Digifanatic goes for another Light Ray, followed by an Aerial Strike. He defends afterwards.

Metal Man (GM): Hit, hit... both are... synonyms of 'b a r e l y'

Julian Sawyer: "Digi's lookin' shakey as he barely with a Light Ray an' a flyin' kick!"

Metal Man (GM): He attacks... with more headbonks!~
15 damage a hit.

Digifanatic is still hit twice... far from concernable, though.

Gumbo: "I will... moosh you!"

Julian Sawyer: "Gumbo's got a rhythm goin' as he connects wit' two more Bonks!"

Digifanatic just keeps on going. This time, he's looking at Celestial Fury and then retreats for 1 TP's worth of space.

Metal Man (GM): Miss

Digifanatic: .oO(Worst match to have horrible luck.)

Metal Man (GM): You retreat... but it's a cage! No retreat for you!

Julian Sawyer: "An' Digi's DEFINITELY shaken as a... Whatever the hell that was misses wide right!"

Metal Man (GM): And then Gumbo attacks!
And has Digi-like luck!

Julian Sawyer: "An' here comes Gumbo wit'...nothin'!"

Digifanatic misses all of those, though.
"Someone's gonna get something, and I hope it's soon and even better it's me."

Gumbo: "Dream on... earth-boy."

Digifanatic just goes for two more Light Rays. If nothing else, at least his non-specials have been connecting.

Metal Man (GM): Hit, miss.

Julian Sawyer: "Digi may be gettin' back in this as he hits with a Light Ray!"

Digifanatic defends again.

Metal Man (GM): And Gumbo continues his barrage! The crowd boos him for using the same move over 10 times!

Digifanatic is only hit by the 20.
"Man... quantity over quality..."

Metal Man (GM): 15 more damage.

Julian Sawyer: "Gumbo's doin' SOMETHIN' right! That's another bonk!"

Digifanatic tries something different. He uses a Light Ray, followed by a Running Charge, hoping to at least stun Gumbo if that one hits...

Metal Man (GM): Hit, hit
Odd... he isn't stunned by that.

Julian Sawyer: "But it looks like the crowd ain't too happy about it-DAYMN! Digi lays Gumbo out with another Light Ray an' a bull rush!"

Metal Man (GM): He's nearly dead... but he continues attacking!

Gumbo :"Kill... Digi..."

Digifanatic is still hit by the critical...

Metal Man (GM): *CRIT* 30 for that.

Julian Sawyer: "Ouch! Looks like that one hurt!"
*He pulls up HP Totals.*

Digifanatic is taking way too much damage than he deserves... hopefully, at least one of these next two Light Rays should do the trick.

Julian Sawyer: "If Digi hits one more time, It's all over!"

Metal Man (GM): Hit, crit
*Gumbo is blasted out of the ring.*

Julian Sawyer: "...AN' IT's ALL OVER! Gumbo goes down to two Light Rays!"

SIMBER: "Gumbo loses again."

Metal Man (GM): +100 EXP and 100 coins to Digi.

Julian Sawyer: "That's one down, 7 to go!"

Digifanatic raises his hand, nods, and walks off to an open bench to check out the next combatant... unless he's up for 49.

Julian Sawyer: "Someone revive Gumbo, and get Trigger in here!"

Metal Man (GM): Next person to fight Gumbo?
Dr. Mario smacks Gumbo around with pills... he is healed.

Gumbo: "Argh..."

Metal Man (GM): Init, Trigger?
Order: Trigger, Gumbo

Julian Sawyer: "An' here comes Trigger! This looks like Gumbo's best hope to pick up a win, as this guy only got this good a rank 'cause me an' Digi ignored him durin' the Rage In The Cage!"

Gumbo: "Come up... and die... urk..."

Trigger starts off the match with a rocket punch.

Dragoshi speaks from the audience "Ain't that the truth!"

Metal Man (GM): Hit

Julian Sawyer: "And Trigger starts off with a Rocket Punch... And connects!"

Digifanatic: "Oh... he's looking at me..."

Trigger: *Endturn.*

Digifanatic: "And Julian! I wasn't bad, I was unlucky!"

Julian Sawyer: "Trigger can hit... for some reason, but can he dodge? Here comes Gumbo!"

Metal Man (GM): Gumbo attempts... another machinegun headbonk session.
15 damage per hit.

Julian Sawyer: "NO! Gumbo drills him 3 times!"

Trigger drills Gumbo with another rocket punch.

Metal Man (GM): Miss

Julian Sawyer: "And Trigger's back at it with a Rocket Punch, but he flies past Gumbo! This is the Trigger we saw durin' the Rage In The Cage!"

Metal Man (GM): Ouch... 15 damage per hit from more headbonks.

Julian Sawyer: "And Gumbo's at it again! 2/3 more Bonks!"

Trigger takes out his gun and starts firing at Gumbo.

Julian Sawyer: "Trigger's got a gun!"

Metal Man (GM): Hit

Julian Sawyer: "And Gumbo's grazed, but still in it!" *Pulls up HP Totals.*

Metal Man (GM): Yet more headbonks!
15 damage per hit.

Julian Sawyer: "Gumbo's at it again with more Bonkin' action, slowly wearin' Trigger down!"

Trigger fires another rocket punch at Gumbo.

Metal Man (GM): Hit

Trigger strtkes Gumbo with a smash attack.

Metal Man (GM): Miss

Julian Sawyer: "An' Trigger fires off another Rocket Punch... and misses with a Smash!"

Metal Man (GM): 15 damage per hit

Julian Sawyer: "More bonking..."

Trigger ends this match with another rocket strike.
He strikes Gumbo with a smash attack.

Julian Sawyer: "And Trigger's Rocket Punch backfires and don't go anywhere!"

Metal Man (GM): Miss... miss

Julian Sawyer: "And his Smash is off-target as well!"

Metal Man (GM): 15 damage per hit

Trigger fires another rocket punch at Gumbo.

Julian Sawyer: "And here comes Gumbo with more Bonking... An' a Rocket Punch that actually connects!"

Trigger strtkes Gumbo with a smash attack.

Metal Man (GM): Hit

Julian Sawyer: "An' a smash..."

Metal Man (GM): 15 damage per hit

Julian Sawyer: "More bonking..."

SIMBER: "It is like a game of pong. And they're both... missing... a lot."

Julian Sawyer: "Alright, forget the Match. SIMBER, I got somethin' I wanna talk to you about."

Dragoshi: "...Yeah. Quite badly at that."

SIMBER: "???"

Trigger decides to change things up with a throwing attack.

Julian Sawyer: "I been readin' the archives, and way back, you first showed up as a Quester enemy? What'supwit'dat?"

Editor's Note: I approve of asking about this, as technically this is a giant plot hole that anyone would trust him with HQ.

Trigger strikes Gumbo with a smash attack.

The Wraith is just lurking in a dark corner, rolling his grey stone of death back and forth across his hand, just waiting for his turn...

SIMBER: "I was originally The Void's machine-taking over virus. Like him, I became good and allied with the Questers... with Wolfman's help."

Metal Man (GM): 15 damage a hit

Julian Sawyer: "Huh. 'Spose I'll learn more 'bout it when the archive get added to-DAYMN! Gumbo's got a hot streak goin!"
*He pulls up HP totals.*

Trigger fires another rocket punch at Gumbo.

Julian Sawyer: "Gumbo's healthy, and he's just pourin' on the Headbonks onto Trigger! He might actually win!"

Metal Man (GM): Hit

Julian Sawyer: "Trigger lands a Rocket Punch... And here come the bonks..."

Trigger uses his turn to charge up his smash attack.

Julian Sawyer: "Trigger looks like he's plannin' somethin'..."

Metal Man (GM): Ouch... a crit.
That definitely knocks out your charge.

Julian Sawyer: "And Gumbo knocks that plan to pieces!"

Metal Man (GM): 15 damage per hit.

Trigger fires another rocket punch at Gumbo.

Metal Man (GM): Miss

Julian Sawyer: "An' another horrendous miss with the Rocket Punch!"

Trigger uses his the rest of his turn to charge up his smash attack.

Julian Sawyer: "Trigger's chargin' again..."

Metal Man (GM): Gumbo attempts... a stronger headbonk, followed by another headbonk!
25 damage for the first, 15 for the second.
Your charge gets knocked away if the 21 hits.

Julian Sawyer: "And puts more weight into the connecting Bonk! Trigger's disrupted again!"

Trigger: "Grr, You're starting to piss me off!!"
*He tries to throw Gumbo again.*

Julian Sawyer: "Trigger runs in with a throw... and botches it!"

Metal Man (GM): Miss!

Trigger strikes Gumbo with a smash attack.

Metal Man (GM): Miss!

Julian Sawyer: "And a Smash!"

Trigger: "Man, what is wrong with me tonight?"

Julian Sawyer: "C'mon, Gumbo!"

SIMBER: "It's almost like it's their mission to miss."

Metal Man (GM): He tries a strong and a weak one again!
First one's the weak one, second's the strong!
15 if the first hits, 25 if the second hits.

Julian Sawyer: "Gumbo connects with another strong Headbonk!"

Metal Man (GM): Also, don't need to wait for me to say it's your turn anymore... just go right after Gumbo's headbonks finish.

Trigger: "This can't be happening!!"

SIMBER: "Trigger regales us with the wit of one of Star Fox's enemies."

Trigger tries another rocket strike.

Metal Man (GM): Hit.

Julian Sawyer: "He ain't no marksman, that's for sure... but he hits with a Rocket Strike!"

Trigger: "Your good, but I'm better."
*He strikes Gumbo with a smash attack.*

SIMBER: "Now he's imitating Wolf o'Donnell!"

Metal Man (GM): Hit

Julian Sawyer: "And he finally connects with that Smash!"

Metal Man (GM): Damage from smash?
Gumbo attempts another strong and another weak!

Julian Sawyer: "And Gumbo connects again!"

Metal Man (GM): First strong, then weak... 15 damage for the weak, which gets the 19.

Dragoshi: "...I don't who'll surprise me more if they win; Gumbo or Trigger."

Trigger tries to toss Gumbo into the air again.

Metal Man (GM): Hit

Julian Sawyer: "And he finally hits with the Toss!"

Trigger strikes Gumbo with a smash attack.

Julian Sawyer: "And hits him with a Smash on the way down!"

Metal Man (GM): Gumbo has... 1 HP left! But he's still attacking!

Trigger: "You can't win!!"

Metal Man (GM): He tries a last-ditch strong bonk and a weak one.

Julian Sawyer: "Gumbo's still fightin' on, despite his injuries!"

Metal Man (GM): Both miss!

Julian Sawyer: "...And he misses. Good try!"

Trigger: "Heh, PREPARE TO DIE!!!!"
*He fires another rocket punch at Gumbo.*

Metal Man (GM): Hit... Gumbo is defeated. But what is Trigger's current HP?

Digifanatic: "Good fight, Trigger."

Dragoshi watches and, yep Gumbo loses... Again. This time, Drago laughs.

Trigger: "Thanks."

Julian Sawyer: "And that's it! Light's out, Trigger takes down Gumbo with another Rocket Punch!"

Metal Man (GM): So then... who's up next?

Julian Sawyer: "But Gumbo put up one helluva fight! That's the best he's ever done!"

Trigger leaves the ring.

Julian Sawyer: "Next up, we got... Dragoshi!"

Digifanatic: "Well, let's see. Three of us now? Make it four, Dragoshi."

Julian Sawyer: "The half-dragon, half-yoshi, ALL messed up Quester!"

Dragoshi: "Ah, my turn now." *Apparently, he decided to wear the armor this time, though he's helmetless. He then walks into the cage.*

Digifanatic: "He's not messed up!"

Julian Sawyer: "An' he's got his armor on... Gumbo might as well just give up."

Dragoshi: "Actually, I could disagree with that, Digi."

Digifanatic: "Just take him down!"

Metal Man (GM): Gumbo is healed... Dragoshi: Your AGI?

Dragoshi then looks at Gumbo, shaking his head in disgust "Pitiful. I'm actually surprised you're even in this." (26)

Julian Sawyer: "Alright, fight numbah 3! Let's get it started!" *Rings the bell.*

Metal Man (GM): Order: Dragoshi, Gumbo
Sooo... Dragoshi: You may go, ala earlier... my hands will explode if I keep on announcing your turn.

Dragoshi just stands still "...I'll just let you get a free shot in to show you how futile it is yourself." EoT.

Metal Man (GM): He runs up and attacks Dragoshi with his strongest bonk.

Julian Sawyer: "...Ouch. That's gonna hurt his head!"

Dragoshi: "...You missed. HORRIBLY."

Metal Man (GM): Then... that's it for his turn.

Dragoshi: "My HELL, you SUCK."
*He then attempts to incinerate Gumbo with a charged up Flame Breath.*

Digifanatic: "Burn, baby, burn..."

Julian Sawyer: "...DAAAAAAAMN!"

Dragoshi: "Now... Burn!"

Digifanatic: "Drago Inferno."

Metal Man (GM): Aye, hit.

Dragoshi: "...Now... Take this!" *He then attempts to hit Gumbo with an Impaler LUCK.*

Julian Sawyer: "You see THAT, SIMBER?"

SIMBER: "Yes."

Dragoshi: "...Just give up. Or suffer eternal defeat. Simple as that" (EoT)

Julian Sawyer: "Gumbo! Give it up! No way you gonna beat him!"

Gumbo: "I fight to the finish!"

Metal Man (GM): 30 damage if that hits.

Dragoshi: "Yes. You heard the-" *Gets hit in the head for a whopping...8 damage* "...Was that supposed to do anything?"

Metal Man (GM): Also, end of turn... as usual.

Julian Sawyer: "...Wow, he hit!"

Dragoshi then attempts to Cyclone Gumbo.

Julian Sawyer: "An' Dragoshi misses!"

Metal Man (GM): Miss

Dragoshi: "...Eh" (EoT)

Metal Man (GM): *EoT.*

Julian Sawyer: "An' so does Gumbo."

Dragoshi: "...You missed again" *Another Cyclone attempt!*

Metal Man (GM): Hit

Julian Sawyer: "And Gumbo's thrown about by that Tornado!"

Metal Man (GM): He's knocked around.

Dragoshi: "...Heh" (EoT)

Julian Sawyer: *CRUNCH*
"Oh! Gumbo just slammed into that cage wall!"

Metal Man (GM): And Gumbo misses... but he tries one more!

Dragoshi: "...Oh, that was just PITIFUL."

Metal Man (GM): *CRIT.*

Garrick Fy`aar: *...oh JEEZ.*

Metal Man (GM): 60 damage

Julian Sawyer: "CRITICAL HEADBUTT!"

Gumbo: "Insult... me... and die!"

Dragoshi: "...What the he-" *Bamf! 37 damage. Also, that 8 from last turn? It was a 7*

Julian Sawyer: "Daymn, Dragoshi got what's was comin' to him' right there!"

Dragoshi: "...That actually hurt. Good job."
*He then calls forth a powerful blast of blue lightning and sparks down from the sky to electrocute Gumbo to hell and back (Indignation, charged)*

Metal Man (GM): Hit

Dragoshi: "...Too bad it was all a waste of effort!"

Julian Sawyer: "...Ouch."

Metal Man (GM): Gumbo is overkilled!
100 EXP, 100 coins

Digifanatic: "You looked better than me."

Julian Sawyer: "That was jus'...Ouch."

Dragoshi: "...Ahhh... The smell of fried Goomba. A favorite of mine."

Julian Sawyer: "Dragoshi wins!"

Metal Man (GM): And... next?

Dragoshi lets out a chuckle "And that's why I should've deserved third instead of Trigger." Exits the cage.

Julian Sawyer: "Next up, we got... Metal! The hell is Metal doin' in 'dis?"

Metal Man walks out. "All right... time to show off what I can do."

Digifanatic: "Sweet seeing ya in here, boss."

Julian Sawyer: "Go easy on 'em, Mets! Dragoshi tore 'em apart last round!"

Metal Man: "Let's see... Goomba vs. bullets..."
*He gets in the ring, loading his guns.*

Editor's Note: An entirely fair fight, I see!

Dragoshi: "...I'm gonna love to see the results of this part of the Gumbo massacre."

Metal Man (GM): Order: Metal, Gumbo

Julian Sawyer: "Yeah, I got a feelin' Gumbo's definitely retirin' after this whole thing's over... Let's get it started!" *Rings the bell.*

Gumbo: "You've got to be kidding me..."

Metal Man: "Let's see... I'll do this the easy way."
*He rabidly opens fire on Gumbo, shooting at him eight times.*

Julian Sawyer: "..."

Metal Man (GM): BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM

Dragoshi: "...Holy damn!"

Julian Sawyer: "Gumbo's torn fulla holes!"

Dragoshi: "It's the great winter Gumbo massacre!"

Metal Man (GM): Gumbo takes 72 damage.

Dragoshi: "...Okay, summer, but who cares!?"

Digifanatic: "I'd almost like to see Julian versus Metal once this is all over."

Gumbo: "...Argh..."

Dragoshi: "I've seen that. Twice, I think"

Metal Man (GM): He attempts... a fast bonk, and a weak one.

Julian Sawyer: "Can Gumbo land any offense during this? And he does!
Can't say it did anythin' but he landed a hit!"

Metal Man (GM): Miss, and... a hit which literally bounces off Metal's armor.

Digifanatic: *BOING* "Whoa."

Metal Man: "You call that an attack?"
*He opens fire again.*

Julian Sawyer: "...Yeah, Gumbo's out! A regular St. Valentine's Day Massacre!"

Digifanatic: "Julian, looks like your record may not be solo."

Julian Sawyer: "Metal is the Winner!"

Dragoshi: "...Yep."

Metal Man (GM): He's massacred, ending with a crit. Gumbo comes out looking like somebody ran up and shot him with a machinegun.

Metal Man walks out of the arena. "Eh, that was worth all sixteen bullets."

Julian Sawyer: "Next!"

SIMBER: "After that... massacre... it's The Wraith's turn!"

Julian Sawyer: "We got... a Ghost!"

Digifanatic: "You know. Entertaining as it is... I just need to get outta this."

The Wraith drifts casually into the ring, an evil smirk on his face as he rolls his grey stone around on one hand...

Dragoshi: "...Oh, man. Gumbo's gonna get flat-out KILLED."

Metal Man (GM): Order: Gumbo, Wraith

Digifanatic walks away from all of this fighting, waving to the rest...

Julian Sawyer: "Looks like Gumbo's gonna get torn apart again!"

Gumbo: "...This is nuts... what next, The Void?"

Metal Man (GM): He attempts, in vain, to hit The Wraith with a strong and a weak bonk.

Trigger gets Gumbo's grave ready.

Dragoshi: "Yea. Torn apart at the speed of SOUND!"

Julian Sawyer: "After the Ghost, we got Gibby an' Garrick!"

Metal Man (GM): Even if those hit, they probably can't hurt The Wraith.

Julian Sawyer: "An' here we go!"

Trigger: "Oh god, I can't watch."

Dragoshi: "...I can!"

Trigger looks away.

Julian Sawyer: "SIMBER, you might wanna look away."

Trigger: *But then looks back.*

Dragoshi watches the destruction, actually chuckling.

The Wraith just wags his finger from side to side as the poor goomba passes through him... Then he grins and waves that stone around in a wide circle, forming four spheres of energy at equidistant points on the circle... They then all four burst forward in one hell of a blastin' attack.

Metal Man (GM): Hit hit hit hit

Digifanatic sends a Dex message to Trigger, Julian, and Dragoshi: "Have fun watching the rest, guys."

Metal Man (GM): Gumbo is massacred even worse than before.

Julian Sawyer: "...And Gumbo is torn apart on the first round! A New record!"

Dragoshi laughs.

Julian Sawyer: "Someone put him back together and get Gibby!"

Trigger ROFL's.

Metal Man (GM): It's even worse than being annihilated by gunfire.

Dragoshi: "Ah, man! We're gonna need a puzzlemaster for this!"

Metal Man (GM): Okay... so... Gibby? You here?

Gibby nods to Wraith for a job well done, walks over to the arena entrance, and stretches himself a bit before stepping inside.

Julian Sawyer: "And here comes Gibby! Looks like these two are about the same height... You think that'll mean anythin', SIMBER?"

SIMBER: "Gibby is similar to Metal in fighting capability. You'll probably get to see Gumbo be sliced into many pieces instead of shot into swiss cheese."

Julian Sawyer: "Right... an' here we go!" *Rings the bell.*

Gumbo: "At last! An equal foe. I shall destroy him!"

Metal Man (GM): Order: Gibby, Gumbo

Dragoshi: "...Pfft. Equal? Is he drunk or somethin'? Well, time for another episode of 'The massacre of Gumbo the Goomba', a who-the-flak-knows-how-many part series"

Gibby looks over at Gumbo and nods to him as well. "You've fought very hard, Gumbo. For that I'm going to give you one chance to surrender before I finish you off. Do you accept?" He charges up his TP for the next turn just in case he doesn't.

Gumbo: "...I've lost enough years of my life... if I don't fight to the finish, I'll die from embarrassment! You're small like me... I think you're going down."

Gibby sighs.
"Fair enough..." (EoT)

Metal Man (GM): Gumbo attacks... with multiheadbonk!
15 damage per hit... and there's a crit!

Julian Sawyer: "An' here come the bonks! Looks like one of 'em hurt! Gibby's 'bout to slash 'em to pieces!"

Gibby gets bonked up quite a bit, shakes it off, and unsheaths his sword. Grinning, he charges towards Gumbo and leaps at him with a fierce four slash combo in hopes of finishing him off right then and there.

Julian Sawyer: "One, two, three, four! Gumbo's in a world of hurt after that slash combo!"

Metal Man (GM): *Obliteration*

Dragoshi laughs again as Gibby tears Gumbo up into shreds.

Gibby shakes off the bumps and sheaths his sword. He waves to the crowd and bows to Gumbo before heading back to the others.

Metal Man (GM): Okay... !

Julian Sawyer: *Hears the laughter* "...Y'know, we gotta buncha real sick people 'mong our ranks... Alright, last up for the Gumbo Beatdown, Garrick!"

Garrick Fy`aar watches Gibby pass by, arching his eyebrow...
"...soo... all I gotta do is beat this goomba... and I'm done?"

Dragoshi talks from the stands. "Yea, pretty much."

Garrick Fy`aar shrugs and moves into the area, frowning slightly at the heavily bandaged and bruised goomba.

Julian Sawyer: "Let's get this over with!" *Rings the bell.*

Garrick Fy`aar: "...are you sure you wanna do this, guy? Sounds like you've been through the ringer already..."

Gumbo: "I... will fight... to the end!"

Garrick Fy`aar: "Yeah, but you obviously don't know your end... alright... here I come!"
*He draws his sword in a quick movement from his armor, surging forward and slicing heavily into him twice.*

Metal Man (GM): Hit, hit

Julian Sawyer: "Garick starts off with a little swordplay, and tears into Gumbo!"

Garrick Fy`aar: *EoT.*

Metal Man (GM): He attempts... a barrage of bonks!

Metal Man (GM): The Void hurls a chainsaw at Gumbo.

Dragoshi: "...Chainsaw?"

Gibby laughs... it's funny!

Dragoshi: "...At least he wasn't decapitated by the chainsaw." *He then starts laughing along with Gibby.*

SIMBER: "And that's it for Gumbo's fighting... at least for a while."

Garrick Fy`aar: "...as long as you're in here... how about you and me?"

Trigger starts laughing hysterically.

The Void: "Well, I can fight you, but it won't be real CAL material."

Julian Sawyer: "...You people is sick... Anyway, I've seen enough carnage fo' one night, and I wanna get involved too! So as our last fight, we gonna have ME vs...*Looks up list* Mr. Infantryman! You take over from here, SIMBER." *Julian exits the booth, and heads down.*

Gibby: "Oooo... this I wanna see."

Garrick Fy`aar: "Heh... well, I think Julian is gonna muscle in, knowing him... alright, we'll save it for another time."

SIMBER: "...CAL fights have priority, though... you'll have to wait just a little bit."

Gibby grabs himself a comfy seat.

The Void nods, moves to stands.
"Let's see how good he is at matter destruction."

Garrick Fy`aar takes a seat in the stands next to the Void.

Trigger grabs a seat in the stands.

Julian Sawyer opens the cage door, and walks in, waiting for his opponent if he hasn't already showed up.

Dragoshi takes a seat in the stands as well, a little farther away form the others.

Gibby: "So who's this Mr. Infantryman?" *He asks anyone willing to answer.*

Trigger: "I don't know"
*He gets up and sits next to the group.*

Julian Sawyer's rolling his shoulders and flexing his fingers as he gets ready... and his player goes BRB.

Metal Man (GM): The Infantryman marches in, holding a rifle.
He arms it and aims it at Julian.

Mr. Infantryman: "I survived Kuja, and I'll survive you." *CHA-CHIK.*

Julian Sawyer: "An' Kuja didn' survive me!" *Gets into his stance.*

Gibby: "Oooo... me likey."

Julian Sawyer: "What chance you think YOU got?"

Metal Man (GM): AGI?
Order: Julian, Infantryman

Trigger: "Kick his ass Julian!"

Julian Sawyer: "Let's start this off right!" *Julian rushes the Infantryman, swinging a Haymaker to push him towards the cage wall!*

Metal Man (GM): Hit.

Julian Sawyer then reaches out with blood-red glowing gloves to grab the dazed Infantryman!

Metal Man (GM): Hit.

Julian Sawyer: *Oh how the energy burns as it disperses, then Julian whirls him around and throws him into the cage wall! Focus Slam! He keeps in close, making sure the Infantryman can't get away from the wall. Turn ova!*

Infantryman: "Hmph."

Metal Man (GM): He opens fire on Julian.
Aaand misses.

Gibby: "...Wow... talk about bad aim."

Julian Sawyer: "You one helluva poor shot!" *Julian taunts as he dances around the shots and reaches into his vest... And pulls out a switchblade, which he immediately flips open, and slashes at the Infantryman's face with twice!*

Metal Man (GM): Hit, hit

Gibby winces and looks away from the slashing.

Dragoshi just watches.

Julian Sawyer cuts open the Infantryman's face! Blood's flowin' like a waterfall!

Gibby: "He's... creative, I guess."

Trigger: "Good thing the ESRB isn't here."

Julian Sawyer then attacks the Infantryman's face some more, driving him into the cage with a Haymaker!

Gibby: "Who?"

Metal Man (GM): Hit

Dragoshi: "...Eh."

Trigger: "Nevermind."

Gibby shrugs and goes to see what Infantryman has up his infantry sleeve.

Metal Man (GM): He opens fire again.

Trigger: "Hmm, I thought the fight would have been over by now."

Trigger: "Finally, stop sucking it up and take him out!"

Aribar stands at attention in the R&R. As usual the one-armed half-elf has on his belt pouches of items, a sheathed sword, his chain shirt, and cloak.

Metal Man (GM): You're in the big room, as usual. The mission is... 'Another Gate'

Julian Sawyer's chilling in the Big Room, feet up on the table "What's the word on this one, Mets?"

Gibby makes his way into the big room with all his gear equipped and at the ready.

Metal Man: "Ruvyn's trying to pull a Zio. He's after pieces of Kuja's old empire."

Alexia: "...Oh, HECK no."

Metal Man brings up an image of the ruined 'Rupture Farms' building used as QH HQ.

Gibby: "Well we can't have that now can we?"

The Wraith is drifting around casually, equipped with his purple, grey, and red stones, and now a yellow one to add to the collection. And a bottle.

Aribar: "Well, you should try and get the APN to guard Kuja's Tower then."

Metal Man: "It is rumored Kuja did not use all of his devices, and made several backups. Thus someone could re-instate trance or perhaps use a summoning ring that was unused to aid his recovery."

Julian Sawyer: "So we gotta go there and wreck 'em all?"

Metal Man: "They're mostly wrecked, that's the thing."

Dragoshi: "...Huh."

Metal Man: "It's likely to be him wandering around being upset. However, he's desperate to take back over.
So he's looking in the oldest junkyard of them alll...
The place has changed drastically from being ripped outta old Termina to here."

Julian Sawyer: "...So what's the plan?"

Metal Man: "Find out what he's up to and stop him."

Alexia: "So if we do find the stuff, what do we do with it?"

Aribar: "Keep in mind Ruvyn can Trance. So... Stopping him might be tough."

Gibby: "Right!"

Trigger wakes up.

Julian Sawyer: "Wreck what ain't wrecked. Got it."

Alexia is tempted a little to see if she can reinstate her wrecked Trance mode...

Dragoshi: "...Gotcha."

Metal Man: "Take it, destroy it, use it yourself. Anything to make it malfunction."

Trigger: "Huh, wha?"

Julian Sawyer: "You got it, Mets."

Alexia hears this and brightens.

Metal Man: "Wha, huh wha. Wha huh wha zuh huh."
*He turns to Trigger.
* "Wha huh uh hmmm huh wha. Hmmm huh uhhh buh."

Alexia: "I have official dibs with witnesses on Trance mode equipment."

Trigger: "Sorry, I wasn't paying attention."

Julian Sawyer: "..."

The Wraith opens his dex. The others' beep.

Gibby: "...A secret ancient language?"
*He looks down at his dex and opens it up.*

Julian Sawyer: "You ain't got dibs on nothin'. Trance is what brought Kuja back in the first place."

Metal Man: "No, but it helps make people pay attention."

Gibby: "What's up, John?"

Aribar: "Wait..." *The elf takes out his dex as he hears it beep.*

Alexia takes out her Dex and opens it.

Trigger does the same.

Alexia: "Trance isn't inherently evil, Julian."

The Wraith: "Just wanted to note... Keep a cap on the 'use it yourself' part. We don't want to do Ruvyn's job FOR him, do we?"

Julian Sawyer: "...Did you not just hear what I said?"

Metal Man: "...You must be careful, yes."

Julian Sawyer: "Exactly. Listen to the Ghost."

Aribar listens to John's message while looking through the Quester Manifesto.

Metal Man: "Let me just say... the original tools which made us indirectly Kuja's allies still sit there, although broken."

Gibby: "You kidding? I'm not using ANY of that whacko's stuff. It's garbage as far as I'm concerned."

Metal Man: "They could be subverted to harm Ruvyn, but they could also harm us."

Aribar: "Technically, the use of Trance might violate rule 10 of Prohibitions on Dangerous Magic and Technology. Besides that, I don't think it's against the law, though it is ethically and morally questionable."

Dragoshi: "...Well, then let's try to subvert some of it to help us then, if possible."

Trigger: "Hmm."

Metal Man: "The warp elevator is active."

Julian Sawyer: "Let's get him!" *Julian gets up, and heads into the elevator.*

Alexia: "Didn't one of the council who made those rules violate one?"
*She heads into the elevator.*

Gibby: "Alright. Lets do this!"
*He waddles his way into the elevator.*

Trigger walks over and steps into the elevator."

The Wraith nods, and goes into the elevator.

Dragoshi enters the elevator.

Aribar keeps his Dex open and out and steps onto the elevator. "Maybe, but I'm not sure about that."

The Wraith: "Yes, they did, Alexia... Used a -Ja level spell."

Julian Sawyer: "It's still a ****in' rule. An' you'se expected to follow 'em."

You appear... in front of a heavily cracked factory.

Gibby puts his dex away and looks over at the factory.

Metal Man (GM): You stand atop ruined pavement... with several burn marks in it, and craters.

Alexia: "Wow. This place really took some damage..."

Metal Man (GM): Places... where original Questers died.

Gibby: "No kidding... this brings back bad memories..."

Dragoshi: "...Well, *Draconic* that. If they break their own friggin' rules, then why should we follow them? Friggin' fascist-...Huh"

Aribar mutters something about the Wraith's comment and looks a little concerned for a moment before looking about his surroundings. The elf shudders as he remembers the horrible events that took place here.

Metal Man (GM): The door to the place is gone; you see it impaled in a rock formation a bit far away.

Alexia closes her Dex and bows her head for a moment to honor the deceased.

Metal Man (GM): You can walk right in.

Gibby: "Hmmm..."

Julian Sawyer: "'Cause you signed a document swearin' you'd follow 'em." *Heads in.*

Trigger walks on it.

Alexia: "Many brave heroes gave their lives here..." *Looks back up and follows Julian in.*

Metal Man (GM): Walking in, you see....

The Wraith eyes around at the devastated HQ building... He slowly shakes his head and goes to pass through the doorway.

Dragoshi: "...Touche. But, still, what exc-Ah, sod it" *Follows the others.*

Gibby walks into the entrance with one fin close by his sword.

Metal Man (GM): An entry room. The place is appalling.
You see a dead corpse right in this room here... what used to be Dagon.
Like he was running from something.

Alexia: "...oh, holy..."

Dragoshi: "...Huh."

Trigger: "My god."

Gibby steps away from the corpse.

Aribar enters after the others remembering how Star Steel, Tempest, and others gave their lives and how they barely survived...

Alexia turns her head away from the corpse.

Gibby: "Watch out for any traps..."

Trigger: "Ok."

Dragoshi: "...Think we should destroy the corpse, so, yanno it doesn't pull a zombie just in case...?"

Metal Man (GM): Your choices for location are simple:

Gibby: "Just leave it."

Trigger: "Good idea."

Julian Sawyer: "A'ight, we here. Keep sharp, don't leave the group, and don't touch ANYTHING."

The Wraith floats in front of Dragoshi and just shakes his head.

Aribar: "I... I think we should just leave the dead in peace."

Metal Man (GM): Door 2 (Second Leftmost): Observatory

Julian Sawyer: "An' if it was gonna come back as a Zombie, woulda' already done so."

Trigger: "I freakin' HATE zombies!"

Dragoshi: "...Well, I guess the answer's no then. Which sounds like a smart idea..."

Metal Man (GM): Door 4: (Second Rightmost) Discussion Room
Door 5 (Rightmost): Portal Room

Alexia: "...Hmm..."

Dragoshi: "..."

Julian Sawyer: "I'm votin' 2."

Trigger: "...I vote 4."

Dragoshi: "...2 sounds good to me as well."

Alexia: "2 sounds good."

Gibby: "Yeah. That way we can check things out easier."

Julian Sawyer: "Might be somethin' we need to wreck in there."

Alexia keeps her eyes averted from the corpse.

The Wraith eyes around, rubbing his chin... He looks to Julian. "Not sure what we'll find there... Unless there's something in the stars that we should know about."

Aribar: "I think we should do a floor-by-floor search, but... Don't want to be a bother here."

Metal Man (GM): The corpse is mostly a skeleton... he died way long ago.

Julian Sawyer doesn't have his dex open.

Metal Man (GM): It shows no signs of coming back to life... and seems unequipped, save for armor.

Gibby: "Well... shall we go?"

Julian Sawyer: "A'ight, majority decision." *Heads for the Observatory.*

Metal Man (GM): The door can be opened; all locks were blown apart long ago.

Alexia follows Julian.

The Wraith shrugs, and starts drifting toward the Observatory with Julian.

Dragoshi follows Julian.

Gibby nods and follows Julian into the observatory.

Trigger follow Julian.

Alexia: "I think we should tackle 5, then 4 after this."

Metal Man (GM): Upon entering it... you see... gasp! Television monitors everywhere... chairs... computers...
They have various names.

Aribar follows the others and looks about the room. "Hrm..."

Metal Man (GM): 'Zio' 'Wolfman'

Dragoshi: "...Hmm."

Alexia: "Wow. Did a furniture store explode in here?"

Metal Man (GM): They're all spy camera monitors or something.

Trigger: "Surveillance cameras?"

Alexia: "...Wait, WOLFMAN?!"

Metal Man (GM): You also see... yards of paper.

Julian Sawyer: "Huh. They weren't kiddin' when they said Observatory..."

Metal Man (GM): With Kuja's name and handwriting all over it.

Julian Sawyer: *Any of them active?*

Metal Man (GM): They're stone cold dead.

Dragoshi: "..." *Looks at the one labeled 'Wolfman' if he can.*

The Wraith rubs his chin, eyeing around...

Gibby: "This appears to be a dead room..."

Julian Sawyer checks out the papers.

Metal Man (GM): The screens are mostly cracked, the power out, the paper only a few burnt shards.

Aribar scans the room and looks at the long sheet of paper. The elf would walk over and look over a few lines on it.

Metal Man (GM): 'The Memoirs of Kuja'

Dragoshi looks over to Julian.

Metal Man (GM): 'I have come to rule the planet. Little do those idiotic Quester Hunters know... I, in my ghostly form, have taken over part of their operations.'

Alexia kneels down and looks at the television monitor marked "Wolfman."

Gibby sits down on a chair and lets Julian and the others read the paper.

Metal Man (GM): 'What sort of grand fool follows me without directions? Zio, of course. The perfect pawn... he and Alys will both die.'

Alexia: "Was he... An ex-Hunter?"

Trigger: "This is ... I can't think of anything witty to say right now."

Julian Sawyer: "You never HAD anythin' witty to say."

Dragoshi: "...Interesting."

Aribar looks over to Alexia. "Err... No. He was the Quester LEADER back then."

Metal Man (GM): 'I will use the Quester Hunters' portal to summon Lashiec, and soon I will rule the world... but not before deceiving the Questers into bringing my tools into this realm.'

Trigger: "..."

Metal Man (GM): 'Trance and weapons, all from my realm... as I speak, I am becoming more corporeal.'

Alexia: "Then why would his name be among the names of the evil..."

Metal Man (GM): 'Both sides are in my pockets.'
A final writing, on a burnt shard.

Aribar: "Because of a being called Eldorado if I recall correctly." *The elf turns back to the papers.* "We were so stupid back then..."

Metal Man (GM): 'Quester Hunter HQ is undone, the portal failed... but I have already killed most of the Questers. Soon, I shall reign victorious... for ten years!'
It trails off after that.

Julian Sawyer: "A'ight, looks like this room's a dead end... But looks like the Portal Room's got somethin'. Let's move!" *Julian stops reading and heads to the Portal Room.*

Metal Man (GM): The monitors have other names on them, too.

Gibby: "Alright."

Dragoshi nods and follows Julian.

Alexia stands back up.

Metal Man (GM): On little plaques.
But they're all dead.

Gibby gets up and makes his way out of the room.

Alexia: "A lot to take in at once..." *Follows the others out silently.*

Metal Man (GM): Leaving that room... you see, again, the doors.

Julian Sawyer makes for the Portal Room.

Trigger follows the others.

Metal Man (GM): And... head to the portal room?

Gibby heads over to the portal room.

Dragoshi follows the others as well.

The Wraith simply follows the group, silently eyeing around the entire way.

Metal Man (GM): You walk inside... and discover that it's a room with a giant bottomless pit in the middle.

Aribar follows the others out of that room and into the Portal one.

Trigger: "Whoa, big hole."

Julian Sawyer: "...Huh."

Metal Man (GM): A single portal device has fallen over and cracked into pieces; it's the one which summoned Lashiec.

Gibby looks down at the pit and covers the sides of his mouth with his fins.
"Helloooooooo..."

Metal Man (GM): Zio is seen, clearly dead, on one of the sides of the pit.

Alexia: "Gibby, quit being silly. This isn't really a place to do so..."

Dragoshi: "..."

Julian Sawyer: "...So that's where he went..."

Dragoshi sees the corpse.

Gibby: "So I like echo effects? Sue me..."

Metal Man (GM): It appears most of the fallen Quester Hunter peoples arrived back here.

The Wraith rubs his chin... and looks up. Ceiling?

Aribar shudders at the sight of Zio's corpse. "I do not like this place."

Trigger: "...This is starting to freak me out."

Julian Sawyer: *Anything else of notice?* "Deal with it."

Metal Man (GM): You see broken ancient runes, and also the remnants of some sort of store...
Burnt mushrooms everywhere.

Gibby: "Doesn't look like there's much else here."

Trigger: "Yeah."

Metal Man (GM): Even burnt... fluffy... mushrooms.

Alexia: "..."

Julian Sawyer: "...'Nother dead end. Who's up for the Discussion Room?"

Dragoshi: "...What's up with the air fluffed shrooms?"

Alexia walks over and examines the runes.

Metal Man (GM): You hear an echo.

Trigger: "Who knows."

Aribar: "Can you locate your own head?"

Metal Man (GM): *Phantom echo of an explosion.*

Dragoshi does the same as Alexia.

Metal Man (GM): Besides that, it's pretty empty.
The runes... you read them...
They are of pure evil.

Julian Sawyer: "...The hell was up with that?"

Aribar listens to the echo. "I remember that. Well, we might as well head to the Discussion Room."

Metal Man (GM): Reciting them invokes the darkness of the world to corrupt you forever.

The Wraith hrm's softly, wondering where... her body would lie, knowing she died along with Zio...

Gibby: "Weird."

Metal Man (GM): That's a warning underneath them (some more foolish people in the QH time actually read it)

Aribar: "Either the past come back to haunt us, which I hope it wasn't, or... just a really long echo. Seriously, though. No idea."

Metal Man (GM): You only read them, so nothing happens.

Trigger: "Hmm."

Dragoshi: "...Backing away now..." *Backs away.*

Alexia: "...This place scares me..."

Gibby: "Yeah, I'm out of here."

Julian Sawyer: "Alright, EVERYONE done lookin' around for nothin'? Let's head to the Discussion Room." *Exeunt.*

Alexia steps away from them.

Gibby turns and makes his way out of the room.

Dragoshi: "..." *Follows Julian.*

Alexia follows the group, shuddering.

Trigger runs out of the room.

Metal Man (GM): You enter the discussion room. It's almost like the Big Room.

The Wraith eyes around once more, then heads on out with the others.

Aribar follows Julian. "Ah. This place seems mostly deserted of... Living things. Ruvyn will hopefully be the only bad thing we find here."

Gibby: "So they had one of their own..."

Metal Man (GM): One long table... with Meier Link's corpse stabbed into it with a destroyed Sword of Darkness.

Gibby: "GAH!"

Metal Man (GM): He clutches a clock in one dead hand.

Julian Sawyer: "...Didn' we kill him, like... all the way over there?"

Trigger: "HOLY BAJESUS!!"

The Wraith ...flicks that corpse the bird! But otherwise does nothing eventful.

Aribar shudders and takes a step back at the sight of Meier Link.

Alexia: "This place scares me like nothing else..."

Gibby: -_-; "...So... creepy!"

Julian Sawyer gestures back to the mainland.

Metal Man (GM): Images of past villains are on the walls, including those of...

Trigger follows Gibby.

Metal Man (GM): Nothing else but a lot of ruined chairs, yeah.

Aribar: "I-I'm just g-going to stay out in the m-main room..." *The elf tries to go back out into the main room.*

Dragoshi then shrugs and follows the others.

Metal Man (GM): So that leaves the meat processing plant and the elevator.

Alexia heads back with the others.

Julian Sawyer: "...Alright, Meat room." *Exit.*

Gibby: "Lets take the elevator."

The Wraith glares at Meier's corpse once more, then drifts on out with the others.

Gibby: "...Why would you want to go to the MEAT room?"

Alexia: "Darkness abounds here... No wonder it's been deserted..."

Julian Sawyer: "'Cause it's the only room left that ain't an elevator."

Gibby: "From what we saw of the others, I don't even want to THINK about what's in the MEAT room..."

Dragoshi: "...Meat room? Well, okay."

Alexia follows Julian.

Metal Man (GM): Just opening the door has the smell of rotting meat overwhelm the area.

Trigger: "Screw that I'm gonna hide... I mean wait for you in the elevator."

Dragoshi: "...Whoo! What DIED in here?!"

Metal Man (GM): The room is pretty much un-navigatable. It's a massive conveyor belt with old saws, drills, and grinders everywhere.

Aribar starts to follow Julian, but stops as soon as the door opens and he smells the rotten meat. "Close that blasted thing!"

Gibby: "...Yeah, I'm staying in here. You go have fun with all the rotten meat."

Julian Sawyer screws up his eyes, QUICKLY closes the door.

Metal Man (GM): You see mangled corpses of almost every type of Oddworld fauna.

Julian Sawyer: "Elevator!" *Heads for it.*

Alexia leans against the wall, slightly green.

Gibby: "About time..."

Trigger: "Me and Gibby will play some Uno."

Dragoshi follows Julian.

Gibby heads into the elevator.

Metal Man (GM): The elevator... has no power!
D'oh!

The Wraith nods in agreement, following at the back of the group.

Gibby: "...Crap!"

Aribar enters the Elevator.

Trigger runs into the elevator.

Metal Man (GM): You press da button. *Click.*

Alexia then regains her composure and enters the elevator.

Metal Man (GM): No elevator car to enter. It's closed.

Julian Sawyer: "..."

Alexia: "Hmm..."

Dragoshi: "..."

Gibby: "...Any stairs around here?"

Julian Sawyer: *Jedi Door Opening Trick.*

Alexia tries to pry open the doors telekinetically.

Metal Man (GM): You pry it open... no elevator car inside, either.

Julian Sawyer's got it covered.

Metal Man (GM): It's way, way, down a really, really long shaft.

Aribar: "Okay. We need to force this door open I guess. Like sticking Vendetta into the door... Okay, no car..."

Metal Man (GM): You can see a second floor upstairs.

Alexia: "Hey, idea."

Gibby walks over to the elevator entrance.

Julian Sawyer: "...Right, nearly everyone can fly?"

Dragoshi: "..." *Drago's got it covered as well.*

Metal Man (GM): But... you'd have to get up there.

Alexia: "I can."

Dragoshi: "Well, I can."

Gibby: "As can I."

Dragoshi: "...Wait, you can fly, Gibby?"

Trigger: "I can wall jump." .oO(I think)

Alexia: "I'm more afraid of dropping someone."

Gibby: "Well yeah..."

Julian Sawyer: "...You can fly?"

Aribar: "I can teleport a little bit, and possibly use my magic to get up there, but I can't really fly."

Julian Sawyer: "When'd that happen?"

The Wraith looks... Are the cables still there?

Gibby sucks in a ton of air and inflates himself like a balloon to show the others.

Julian Sawyer: "...Oh right. That."

Dragoshi: "...OF COURSE."

Gibby nods.

Julian Sawyer: "A'ight, Dragoshi, you get Trigger, I'll carry Ari up."

Trigger: "Ok."

Aribar: "Thanks." *The elf holds onto Julian.*

Dragoshi motions for Trigger to hold on to him.

Trigger grabs onto Dragoshi.

Julian Sawyer grabs onto Ari, then boosts up to floor 2

Alexia flies up to the second floor.

The Wraith just passes right on up, not even bothering with the shaft.

Metal Man (GM): You go on up... prying open the rusted... dried-blood covered door.

Dragoshi waits for Jules to finish going up to floor 2, grabs on to Trigger, and flies up to floor 2 as well.

Gibby rolls himself into the elevator shaft and flaps himself upward to the second floor.

Julian Sawyer carves the door open "That ain't a good sign..."

Dragoshi: "...Yea, seriously."

Aribar: "You know, I liked it back on Whaller. No blood splattered doors..."

The Wraith pops up through the ground in front of Julian and looks around...

Metal Man (GM): You see Magnus, crushed and dead by a large pillar of steel.

Trigger: "Heh, you would."

Julian Sawyer: "...Ick."

Gibby steps inside and deflates himself.

Trigger: "Ouch, just ouch."

Alexia: "...Oh, man..."

Julian Sawyer enters floor two and sets Ari down.

Alexia lands on the second floor.

Metal Man (GM): Dead vampires are everywhere up here... staked, stabbed, impaled, some of them ruthlessly blown to pieces.

The Wraith: .oO(...I wonder where those souls are right now...)

Aribar steps forward a little. "I h-hate vampires..."

Gibby: "It's like stepping into a horror movie..."

Metal Man (GM): A blasted up organ is ahead, facing a ruined stained glass image.

Julian Sawyer: "We oughta get someone to burn this place down when we're done here..."

Metal Man (GM): The image... of what was considered both Kuja's and the Quester Hunter's success.

Trigger: "It's like Castlevania but worse."

Alexia: "Only...*Gulp* this isn't fake."

Metal Man (GM): Ganondorf's dead body is slumped over it... although you vaguely hear him laughing.

Julian Sawyer: "...Man, how many bodies does this guy HAVE?"

Trigger: "...Who said Castlevania is fake?"

Alexia looks very, very nervous.

Gibby: "...I hear laughing... I don't like that at ALL!"

Metal Man (GM): You hear ghastly organ playing.

Julian Sawyer: "One of 'em's here, we got another one sunk under the desert..."

Aribar shudders. "To arms, all."

Metal Man (GM): Even though it isn't truly... playing...

Trigger: "...Death, IS THAT YOU!!!"

Alexia pulls out her gun.

The Wraith raises an eyebrow... And vanishes from sight, shifting to the ethereal realm to look around there.

Alexia: "Trigger, shut up!"

Aribar replaces his Smash Dex with Moonlight. "I have a feeling that we'll be needing weapons very soon."

Julian Sawyer: "Someone smack some sense into Trigger."

Trigger pulls out his gun.

Gibby: "Let me guess... we got a ghost around here?"

Trigger: "I need Vampire Killer."

Julian Sawyer: "You NEED to shut the **** up."

Alexia: "Where's Link when you need him..."

Gibby: "Thank you, Julian..."

Trigger: "GO TO HELL!!"

Metal Man (GM): Trigger's voice rings.
A lot.

Alexia: "We're already there, Trigger."

Aribar: "We don't need in-fighting right now! Now..."

The Wraith: *Still invisible, but what dexes aren't already open start beeping*

Gibby covers his non existing ears.

Trigger: "..."

Julian Sawyer: "...Wait a sec..."

Dragoshi: "..."

Alexia opens her Dex again.

Aribar hesitantly sheaths Moonlight and takes out his Dex again.

Julian Sawyer: "Trigger, you wouldn't happen to be possessed, would you?"

Dragoshi opens his dex as well.

Trigger: "..."

Gibby turns to Trigger and backs off a little.

The Wraith: "There is hatred... everywhere. Negative energy in the area is swelling..."

Dragoshi: "...Great. Last thing we really need."

Aribar: "A-around the bodies?"

Julian Sawyer: "...No ****in' kiddin'!"

Metal Man (GM): You hear a few cracks in the wall, from the building settling.

The Wraith: "...Everywhere."

Trigger: "..."

Alexia: "No wonder I'm feeling apprehensive. Darkness is gathering..."

Metal Man (GM): A few angry moans are heard.

Gibby gulps.

Trigger: "No..."

Alexia: "Be ready for anything."

Julian Sawyer: "Buncha bad guys got wasted here, you'd think their ghosts would stick around!"

The Wraith: "Let's make this quick." He reappears and looks for the next move.

Trigger: *Oh god...*"

Aribar: "We sh-should leave. G-get up the tower or so-something."

Gibby unsheaths his sword and looks around every section of the room.

Dragoshi: "...Okay, I was KIDDING about the friggin' zombies... Sheesh. Wait, ghosts... Well, at least I can waste em' more quickly"

Metal Man (GM): The body of Ganondorf, which is badly damaged, and bent out of shape, suddenly rights himself... and begins playing. For real.

The Wraith: "Their spirits aren't here... Otherwise, I would've felt it much sooner. Just their ha--..."

Trigger collapses to the floor in fear.

Aribar pockets his dex and takes out Moonlight again.

Julian Sawyer: "An' here we go..."

Alexia: "...Somehow, I think we all expected that..."
*She crouches into a fighting pose.*

Gibby: "...Please tell me that's not what I think it is..."

The Wraith: "...Move." He starts moving toward the most logical exit.

Trigger gets up?

Metal Man (GM): The elevator.

Dragoshi: "..."

Dead Ganondorf: "You... have... stepped... into... our... tomb..."

Aribar: .oO(Okay, remember your past encounters!) "He's... He's some undead menace! If we must fight, use divine magic."

Alexia: "OK, who votes for a basement visit?"

The Wraith: "Up or down, folks?"

Dead Ganondorf: "Haven't... you... killed... us... enough?"

Julian Sawyer: "I'm thinkin' up."

Trigger: "...AIM FOR THE HEAD!!!"

Gibby: "Lets just get going!"

Dragoshi: "...Closest thing I've got to divine is Indignation, Ari."

Alexia edges toward the elevator while keeping a Mindblast aimed at Ganondorf.

Trigger: "Ok."

The Wraith looks at DG. "I apologize, Ganondorf... We are leaving now."

Gibby heads towards the elevator with the others.

Trigger does the same.

Ganondorf: "Ganon... dorf? Names... are meaningless... to the dead... and soulless..."

Julian Sawyer boosts back towards the elevator, grabbing Aribar.

Metal Man (GM): He stands up, and looks at you all as you leave.

Gibby inflates himself and flies upward to the next floor.

The Wraith: "Then know peace..." He floats up through the ceiling.

Ganondorf: "The... Quester... Hunters... are... not... pleased."

Metal Man (GM): He falls over, face-first.

Alexia leaps into the elevator and flies up, heart beating fast.

The Wraith: .oO(They never were...)

Alexia: "Not good not good not good not good..."

Trigger: "..."

Julian Sawyer heads up towards floor 3, opening the door with the JDOT.

Metal Man (GM): You fly... upwards.

Dragoshi decides to follow everyone else.

Gibby: "I hope that thing doesn't follow us..."

Aribar: "Gah!" *The elf is more than a bit shocked when Julian grabs him.*

Alexia is extremely scared by now.

Metal Man (GM): You reach yet another room... another large one, actually. You're in the top floor.

Julian Sawyer: "A'ight, looks like the last one. Only way to go from here is down..."

Gibby arrives at the top floor and deflates himself when he hits solid ground.

Trigger: "Now what?"

Alexia: "OK, forget Kefka, forget the imprisonment, THIS is the worst time I've ever had."

Metal Man (GM): The room looks like it was burnt on up.

Aribar: "By King Erwin and all other Powers that Be I hate undead!"

Alexia lands on the floor of the room.

Metal Man (GM): Burnt up... by someone really powerful.

Gibby: "What a mess..."

The Wraith: "Peace, Aribar..."

Metal Man (GM): Bits and pieces of everything are everywhere.

Julian Sawyer: *Any rooms to enter?*

Metal Man (GM): A golden weapon lays in pieces. Old, broken Final Fantasy Weaponry is strewn everywhere.
No rooms to enter.

Trigger: "What is with this hell hole?"

Aribar steps away from Julian once they get up here and exchanges Moonlight for his Dex again.

Metal Man (GM): A piece of Link X's arms is on the ground.

Alexia: "...This brings back unpleasant memories."

Metal Man (GM): The windows are shattered.

Julian Sawyer: "Kuja tore this place up somethin' fierce..."

Aribar: "Or Ruvyn did..."

Metal Man (GM): And you find... something new... amongst the wreckage.

Trigger: "Isn't Kuja dead?"

Aribar: "Yes... Hey, what's this?"

Gibby just sighs....

Metal Man (GM): A circle of runes, tarnished but unused.

Julian Sawyer: "...That's somethin' new... Ari, check it out."

Alexia: "Don't touch it."
*She scans the runes.*

Metal Man (GM): They form a circle, and have, in english, a title.

Aribar: "Sure. Send the wizard out first..."

Metal Man (GM): "The Oath to Revenge."

The Wraith eyes the runes from a distance, narrowing his eyes...

Aribar starts towards the Runes and tries to identify them by reading them.

Metal Man (GM): The runes themselves pretty much are a fighting song, and appear to be linked to all the dead people.

Aribar: "I have a little knowledge in ancient runes from my days on Whaller... Some sort of song."

Metal Man (GM): It says, pretty simply, if read out loud, they would give the user the ability to do ANYTHING in the name of vengeance.
Assuming their anger is large enough.

Gibby: "A... song?"

Metal Man (GM): It also looks vaguely edited.

Julian Sawyer: "...What'd you think it'd do if we wiped it out?"

Aribar: "It seems like this is used in Trance somehow."

Dragoshi: "...No idea."

Trigger: "Hmm."

Revenant Ruvyn: "Nothing much."

Gibby: "We shouldn't touch it then."

Alexia: "Julian, I don't think we should mess with ANYTHING here..."

Julian Sawyer: "...oh GODDAMNIT."

Trigger: "..."

Aribar jumps back and looks towards Ruvyn.

Gibby: "..."

Alexia whirls around to face the voice.

Metal Man (GM): Behind you... is Ruvyn.

Trigger: "What the hell?"

Julian Sawyer: "When'd the hell you get here?"

Aribar: "G-greetings, Ruvyn."

Gibby sighs and turns around to face Ruvyn.

Dragoshi looks at whoever the voice is "...You again, Phoenix?"

Gibby: "About time you showed yourself."

Revenant Ruvyn: "Just a few moments before you... the evil here told me you had found it. I let you discover it... as was... Kuja's plan."

The Wraith forms a shroud of darkness around himself, followed by a dark barrier, as he pulls out the grey & purple stones.

Revenant Ruvyn: "Only you could find the holy inscription."

Aribar: "The holy inscription?"

Dragoshi: "...Holy inscription?"

Revenant Ruvyn: "If that is read... all which you see here... and Kuja... shall be revived."

The Wraith rolls his eyes and points at the runes.

Trigger: "...No way?"

Dragoshi: "...Trigger."

Alexia: "..." *Moves back a bit to cover the runes with her foot.*

Revenant Ruvyn: "It was a one-time encoding when the Quester Hunters and Kuja's power intersected."

Gibby: "Well then it won't be read. Simple as that."

Revenant Ruvyn: "Now... if you could just let me read those... I do want all my friends back."

Trigger: *Sigh* "What?"

Aribar: "I am sorry to interrupt, but Ruvyn, I think we've learned of a... Different way to save the world than by reviving Kuja."

Gibby: "Yeah, like we'd really allow you to do that."

Dragoshi: "...Nevermind. ...And, yes I do agree with the others."

Revenant Ruvyn: "You are... surely dumb."

Alexia: "After seeing this house of horrors, I'm sure none of us want to see this happen again."

Revenant Ruvyn: "Because I can see through you all."

Gibby: "Would you just hear us out for once?"

Dragoshi: .oO(...I'd make a snarky comment about seeing entrails, but that'd be stupid)

Revenant Ruvyn: "Revnos lecant yehan shno. Revnos lecant yehan shno. Yehan uhno dan. Dan unhnos! Dan uhnos!"

Dragoshi: "..."

Metal Man (GM): The place begins to shake.

Gibby: "...Revnos?"

The Wraith goes to... blast at the runes that aren't under Alexia's foot. A magical wipe, so to speak.

Trigger: "What the hell is he saying?"

Aribar: "W-what have you done?"

Gibby starts shaking.

Dragoshi: "...Ay carumba."

Revenant Ruvyn: "Revnos omni sincter sent."

Gibby: "Shut up!"

Metal Man (GM): The runes explode... but Ruvyn laughs.

Aribar jumps back from the runes.

Revenant Ruvyn: "Yenzo returnidad sinctu sanctum!"

Gibby ducks and covers.

Trigger looks for cover.

Gibby: "Somebody stop him!"

Aribar tries to get between Ruvyn and the runes. "Stop this!"

Dragoshi: "..."

Alexia staggers a bit from having the runes explode and catches herself.

Metal Man (GM): He saw right through Alexia. The runes have been erased. He read them.

Aribar: "We don't need to chance reviving Kuja!"

Dragoshi: .oO(If Ari fails, then it's Earth Bite time...)

Trigger pulls out his gun and starts to blast Ruvyn.

Revenant Ruvyn: "Yun---" *Shot once, twice, staggers a bit.*

Aribar: "We can handle the catastrophe Kuja predicted. We know what it is... I think."

Dragoshi: "..."

Alexia flings a Mindblast at Ruvyn, hoping to interrupt the progress.

Trigger: "Take that."

Aribar: .oO(There goes our chance at diplomacy.)

Revenant Ruvyn: "It took you that long to figure it out?" *Summons a magical shield to block the Mindblast.*

Gibby: "Good one, Trigger."

Trigger starts to fire off more rounds.

The Wraith: "..." *He sees Ruvyn stagger at that... And follows suit, firing off his patented magical barrage of d00m.*

Aribar looks back at Trigger and Alexia, a little shocked.

Dragoshi: "...Well... Uhh, screw it. I'll only attack with Earth Bite if he decides to attack us"

Revenant Ruvyn: "It's too late." *Glows oddly, holding up his hand as all the blasts simply fall to the floor.*

Trigger: "What the...?"

Aribar closes his dex and puts it away while muttering something.

Dragoshi: "...Huh."

Alexia: "Ari, if we don't get out of here, I really do love you!"

Revenant Ruvyn: "With... Ganondorf dead... the Dark Realm is ours..."

Alexia has a look of sheer desperation on her face.

Dragoshi: "..."

Revenant Ruvyn: "With... the holy inscription... The old are to return..."

Trigger: "This is not good."

Aribar blinks... "I... Ah..."

Dragoshi: "...Oh cosmic hellfire."

Revenant Ruvyn: "And I... shall rule once agai--"

The Wraith growls angrily a bit... He puts the purple stone away, takes out the bottle, takes a swig, and--...?

Metal Man (GM): *STAB.*

Dragoshi: "...What the hell?"

Trigger: "What?!"

Metal Man (GM): He is stabbed from behind... by a really, really long sword.

The Wraith: "..."

Dragoshi: "...No, seriousl-..."

Alexia: "..."

Gibby blinks and gets up.

The Wraith: .oO(I only know of one person who uses a blade like that...)

Julian Sawyer: "...I ****in' knew it."

Dragoshi: .oO(...I have a BAAAD feeling about this...)

Aribar: .oO(He never wanted to help us... Why must all villains be this way?) *The elf narrows his eyes and unsheaths Moonlight in the blink of an eye, wondering what mysterious help has arrived.*

???: "The planet does not belong to you." *Kicks Ruvyn off his sword.*

Trigger: "Who is that guy?"

???: "These pathetic inscriptions are nothing." *He walks... it's some all-black silhouette person.*

Dragoshi: *Looks at Ruvyn*"...That's one dead phoenix. I think"

Metal Man (GM): He walks right through you and looks at the inscriptions.

Alexia: "...Who are you?"

???: "...Hahahahahahahahaaaaaa!"

The Wraith waits to get a look at his face, just to be sure of what he's already... wha...? He disappears to look from... another angle.

Trigger: "..."

Dragoshi: "...That laugh is NOT good."

Aribar shudders and turns to the man. The elf does not like this.

???: "Omnipiten Selectum Halz."

Gibby: "Not -this- again..."

Alexia turns around to face the figure.

Metal Man (GM): The rumbling stops, the glowing dead, and the process ended.

Trigger has a confused look about him.

Julian Sawyer: "...So, Sephiroth, all healed up from the Holo-Tomb?"

Dragoshi: "...Huh."

???: "Perhaps... I should explain this... but what good would it do for you?"

Editor's Note: Maybe it would help me, the GM who forgot what he was thinking when he did this plot, understand what the hell just happened? Ah, well, par for the course that past me refuses to do that, hah.

Aribar: "Sephiroth? Is that who this person is?"

Gibby: "...WHAT?"

Alexia: "Sepiroth?"

Julian Sawyer: "Oh come on, Who else could it ****in' be?!"

Dragoshi: "...How are you so sure it's-Ah, nevermind."

Trigger: "..."

The Wraith: **

Aribar: "Perhaps you should explain things to make us a little less oblivious, sir." *The elf meekly says this to the enigmatic figure.*

The Wraith returns, rubbing his chin...

???: "The cycle was damaged. It needed to be repaired. Ruvyn was attempting to interfere with the promised land. Ruvyn... was sent back to where he came from for his injustice."

Alexia: "Promised land?"

Gibby: "Well... thanks, I guess."

Julian Sawyer: "An' thanks for that. He was 'bout to make us all completely dead."

Metal Man (GM): He walks away a little bit, standing and looking near Ruvyn's corpse... kicking it over.

Dragoshi: "...Huh. Wonder if I should Earth Bite Ruvyn just to be safe..."

Trigger: "This is all over my head."

Julian Sawyer: "Everythin' over your head..."

???: "Kuja... you cannot control the lifestream... for it is rightfully mine."

Gibby: "I think the guy took care of him, Drag..."

Aribar: "Wait, what are the cycles? ... Are they things to be preserved?"

???: "The cycle... is what will rid the world of you traitors."

Alexia bewilderedly puts her gun away.

Dragoshi: "...Hey, it's always good to play it safe, yanno."

Gibby: "Traitors? How are we traitors?"

Aribar blinks and takes a step back, a bit worried now.

???: "For... the ancients... will return!"

Metal Man (GM): He holds out his hands to the air, laughing.

Dragoshi: "...Cycle? ...Oh, don't tell m-...Ancients?"
*He shudders at that word.*

Alexia takes out her gun again.

Julian Sawyer: "Y'know, probably a reason the 'ancients' is gone."

Trigger: "Oh boy, this looks bad."

Metal Man (GM): He turns and shakes his head, picking up a piece of golden rubbish.

Gibby: -_-; .oO(Do we really -need- another laughing lunatic?)

Metal Man (GM): He stabs Ruvyn in the back, thoroughly pinning him to the floor.

Digifanatic somehow teleports/runs into this.
"Okay. WHAT have I been missing?"

???: *Laughs* "I am no Phantom Lord. I am a first class SOLDIER."

Alexia: "A lot, believe me..."

Trigger: "Too much."

Dragoshi: "...If he's a Phantom Lord I don't think we'll be ABLE to make ame-...SOLDIER?"

Julian Sawyer: "I called it."

Aribar: "...Soldier?"

Gibby: "Then it -is- you..."

Trigger: "Hmm."

Aribar: "From what faction? Who do you serve?"

Dragoshi: "...Ay carumba. Can this ge-...Not gonna finish that. No. No way."

Julian Sawyer: "Who else would it BE, Gibbs?"

???: "Phantom Lords... are all inferior to me." *He floats up, destroying a hole in the roof, before blasting off into the sky.*

Dragoshi: "...Oh, COME ON!"

Alexia stares up into the hole.

Julian Sawyer: "One threat taken care of... Anyone wanna explore the basement?"

Alexia: "...OK, I'm very, very, very confused..."

Dragoshi: "...Sure."

Digifanatic: "I dunno what I missed... but I'm unsure if I want to know."

The Wraith eyes the figure as it leaves... Then he shakes his head, then looks to Julian and nods.

Alexia: "Yeah, sure..."

Revenant Ruvyn: "Uck..."

Gibby: "I hate people who talk in riddles."

Aribar sighs and shakes his head. "I want to leave this... Horrid place. Bad memories and bad peop--... You're alive?"

Dragoshi: "Though..." *Walks over to Ruvyn's corpse if possible, to see if-Nevermind.*

Metal Man (GM): He moves a hand, weakly.

Julian Sawyer: "...Oh come ON! You still ain't dead?"

The Wraith looks at Ruvyn...

Dragoshi: "...What the-You're STILL alive?!"

Gibby looks down at Ruvyn.

Trigger follows the others.

Aribar walks over to Ruvyn.

The Wraith: "...He's not what he used to be, though..."

Alexia turns around and heads to Ruvyn.

Revenant Ruvyn: "I will be... soon... but... I have something... important... to say."

Julian Sawyer: "Shoot."

Dragoshi: "What the-...DO go on, Phoenix."

Digifanatic follows on.

Revenant Ruvyn: "It was not... me... who... did... the things... since I had died... the Phoenix... all of it... was the remnants of Kuja..."

Digifanatic: "Remnants of Kuja?!"

Alexia: "...He never dies, does he?"

Dragoshi: "...Remnants?"

Julian Sawyer: "Yeah, we got that."

The Wraith: "Yes... Remnants of Kuja were embedded in his soul... They are gone now."

Digifanatic: "Okaaaaaay..."{

Revenant Ruvyn: "I... have... no place... here..."

Aribar: .oO(Is this a ploy for us to help him? Or...)

Dragoshi: "..."

Metal Man (GM): He stands up, almost ghost-like, pulling out the sword.

Dragoshi: "...?"

Julian Sawyer: "So you done?"

Metal Man (GM): You see in his place the body... hmmm... a Genome body roughly like Kuja's.
That wasn't his real body after all.

Aribar sheaths Moonlight. "We can help you, Ruvyn..."

Metal Man (GM): The sword is still stabbed into it.
You now are facing a ghostly image of Ruvyn.

Dragoshi: "...Huh."

Julian Sawyer: "...Ari, think he's a little BEYOND HELP. What with bein' DEAD an' all."

Gibby: "I see... so this is how it ends for you."

Revenant Ruvyn: "Help me? I was wrested from death... it was nothing but torture!"

Aribar frowns. His optimism was a bit misplaced this time.

Dragoshi looks at the Genome body... Thing"...Should we destroy this... Or leave it be?"

Revenant Ruvyn: "I had no control over my actions... I saw myself spreading the hatred of Kuja... ...It is a monument to Kuja's defeat. Do what you wish... I must go back to where I belong."

Julian Sawyer: "Mind if we take the sword?"

Gibby: "Go in peace then."

Revenant Ruvyn: "...It is cursed... if you take it... you will surely die."

Julian Sawyer: "...A'ight then."

Revenant Ruvyn: "There is... still more... here..."

Julian Sawyer: "Yeah, the basement."

Dragoshi: "...Is it possible for it to be purified?"

Julian Sawyer: "We got it covered."

Metal Man (GM): His ghost gives a Quester-ish salute.

Gibby bows to Ruvyn.

The Wraith nods to Ruvyn. "Go in peace, brother."

Revenant Ruvyn: "...This place can never be purified... I must leave now."

Dragoshi does the same as Gibby.

Digifanatic: "Alright, man."

Aribar: "Goodbye, Ruvyn..."

Julian Sawyer: "Then go."

Alexia salutes back.

Metal Man (GM): The spirit suddenly fades away, leaving the dead genome body.

Digifanatic: "Good... luck, I suppose."

Dragoshi: "...I meant the sword, but regardless. Goodbye, Ruvyn."

Gibby sighs.

Digifanatic finally joins in w/the saluting.

Gibby: "Well at least he's in a better place now."

Digifanatic: "Bit late, but, hey... I guess it had to be done/."

Alexia: "...I really need something mindless when we get back to the Stadium..."

Julian Sawyer: "A'ight, now that we got that pointless little display a' repentin' done, let's head to the basement."

Gibby sheaths his sword.

The Wraith: .oO(We'll meet again...)

Alexia heads back to the elevator and flies down to the basement.

Julian Sawyer: "Digi, can you fly?"

Digifanatic: "Sure. Not to that.
I don't fly."

Julian Sawyer: "Dragoshi, get Digi. Let's go!" *Grabs Aribar and heads down to the basement.*

Aribar: "Must we continue through this tomb? Evil still lurks here..."

Gibby: .oO(He's so cold-hearted it's not even funny anymore...)

Digifanatic: "I can just teleport on down or something..."

The Wraith just starts drifting down through the floors...

Julian Sawyer: "There's still stuff to find. Stuff we gotta take care of."

Gibby makes his way to the elevator, inflates, and rolls himself inside. He slowly blows out air so he can drift safely down to the basement.

Digifanatic waits for Dragoshi, then...

Trigger follows the others.

Metal Man (GM): You begin making your way down... and realize... all of Ruvyn's men. Massacred.

Gibby: "...More of his work I take it."

Metal Man (GM): They appear to have been defending the area... apparently the unknown being was coming after Ruvyn just as he appeared.

Alexia: "...oh shiz..."

Dragoshi follows the others and then sees what they're seeing "Holy damn"

Trigger: "What?"

Alexia: "I feel slightly ill..."

Aribar takes out his Dex on the way down the elevator. The elf wishes that so many issues that he has been pressed with weren't so complicated.

Julian Sawyer: *Do-dee-do, don't care, goin' down!*

Metal Man (GM): Down at the bottom, you see, the burnt up wreckage of the basement.

Aribar: "It must be the dark energy in this area getting to you."

Digifanatic: "Whoa... Something like that..."

Gibby deflates completely and lands on his feet when he gets to the basement.

Alexia: "I've just only seen this much death and destruction one other time..."

Metal Man (GM): A single shiny necklace hangs on a broken rafter hanging over a pit. Not to mention a magical book sitting on the floor...

Julian Sawyer: "A'ight, we're here, there's gotta be SOMETHIN'..."

Alexia lands on the ground.

Julian Sawyer: "...And there we go."

Metal Man (GM): ...And the Supersoldier.

The Wraith: "That negative energy dissipated when Ruvyn was stabbed..."

Alexia: "...The heck?"

Metal Man (GM): He's in the way...

Gibby: "You mean something like that?"

Aribar steps away from Julian.

Julian Sawyer: "..."

Dragoshi: "..."

Supersoldier: "Not even... him... can kill me..."

Trigger: "..."

Dragoshi: "...Damn. Pretty endurant aren't you?"

Metal Man (GM): He stands up... mostly alive.

Supersoldier: "I survived... them all."

Julian Sawyer: "...Don' suppose you just gonna let us have those."

Digifanatic: "But, who is him?"

Aribar: "Your leader is gone. Whatever cause you had is gone... Go back home."

Supersoldier: "These... why should I let you have the last of Kuja's legacy?"

Dragoshi: "...Simple."

Digifanatic: "Kuja, I guess?"

Supersoldier: "My home... is here... with Kuja in command."

Julian Sawyer: "...'Cause if you don't, we're gonna make you dead?"

Alexia: "Kuja's dead."

Supersoldier: "Make me... dead? You make me sick..."

Dragoshi: "...So?"

Digifanatic: "Julian, please..."

Aribar: "Let us just leave him be."

Supersoldier: "Not even the man with the sword could kill me."

Julian Sawyer: "EVERYONE's dead. An' you fixin' to join 'em if you don't move."

Digifanatic: "Just for once!"

Gibby: "...HE couldn't kill you?"

Supersoldier: "If he wasn't incorporeal... I could have saved my leader... now I am nothing more than a failure."

Digifanatic: "Please don't get us into any more situations that you have to, Julian."

Julian Sawyer: "We're gettin' those goddamn artifacts, an' I don' care if we gotta kill someone to get 'em."

Supersoldier: "His sword... was no match... my armor... too tough."

Dragoshi: "...You must have some pretty powerful armor, then."

Digifanatic turns away for a moment... and rolls his eyes!

Supersoldier: "He cursed me for what I did... and... he left."
*He picks up the necklace and book.
* "I have trance and Kuja's blood. Enough to revive him using my body as a catalyst."

Trigger: "Hmm."

Aribar: "Kuja raised a dark age of oppression. You wish to revive that?"

Dragoshi: "...You're persistent, I give you that much"""

Gibby: "We cannot allow you to do that."

Supersoldier: "I... am the last man of Kuja's legacy. I cannot live without fighting for him. I will survive."

Gibby unsheaths his sword.

The Wraith points its purple and RED stones at the Supersoldier, shaking his head...

Dragoshi: "That's what they all say"

Trigger takes a fighting stance.

Dragoshi then looks at the red stone"...Woah. You're gonna use that?"

Aribar nods. "So you wish to fight us. I wish it were otherwise." Aribar once again switches his Dex out for Moonlight.

Alexia takes out her gun and crouches into fighting stance.

Gibby: "One last chance, buddy... hand over Kuja's good, or else face us in battle."

Supersoldier: "I'm not them... I'm not normal... I am... the last survivor of the Quester Hunters."

The Wraith would start blastin' the hell outta the soldier if he hears what sounds like the beginning of an incantation...

Trigger: "Then I guess you're going down."

Supersoldier: "My name is meaningless... I am... THE LAST SURVIVOR."

Dragoshi: "...Yeesh. How LONG have you LIVED through this stuff!?"

Alexia: "Long enough, I say."

Metal Man (GM): He preps for battle himself, breaking the vial and drinking it, glowing a red haze.

The Wraith: .oO(...Enough.) *MAGIC BARRAGE OF D00M!*

Dragoshi: "...Ay carumba."

Gibby grunts.

Digifanatic stays quiet in all of this... waiting to speak.

Last Survivor: "I bring... the pain of a trillion dead souls seeking VENGEANCE!"

Metal Man (GM): BATTLE

Aribar drops down into his fighting stance. Moonlight is held out before him defensively, although held low. The elf does not want to add another name to the list of those who died here.

Dragoshi: "...A TRILLION!?"

Digifanatic: "WHOA."

Trigger: "Too many."

Dragoshi: "That's about a couple-Oh, sod it." (26)

Gibby gets into his fighting stance and eyes the soldier. (26)

Metal Man (GM): Order: Last Survivor, Aribar, Dragoshi, Gibby, Digi, Alexia, Trigger, Wraith
LAST SURVIVOR

Last Survivor: "Your souls shall be rent asunder for killing us all..."

Metal Man (GM): He floats up, resembling Kuja in some ways. He raises his blaster.

Last Survivor: "FIRAGA!"

Trigger: "...Crap."

Metal Man (GM): He sprays the general area near Aribar, Gibby, and Alexia with bolts of fire shot out of his laser machinegun.
150 fire damage, machinegun 2x.

Aribar: "Fire spell! Dodge!" *The elf attempts to roll away from the firey rays, a bit surprised by the way Firaga shot off.*

Gibby barely, BARELY, dodges that attack. It nicks some of his left fin.

Alexia gets slammed in the chest by the fire, barely alive.

Dragoshi: "...Yeesh. HE's good with that gun."

Gibby: "Gah... that was TOO close..."

Alexia: "Nnngh..."

Metal Man (GM): Then he waves his arms around.

Dragoshi: "..."

Alexia gets back up slowly, clutching her chest.

Last Survivor: "MBARRIER!"

Metal Man (GM): He's surrounded by a shiny-looking barrier.

The Wraith growls...

Dragoshi: "...Wait. Barrier? ...Now this is just ridiculous!"

Gibby: "He's good... really good."

Digifanatic: *Dryly* "Yeah."

Alexia: "Tell me about it..."

Last Survivor: "Come! Attack me, you fools! I care not for your chatter!"

Aribar looks over to Alexia and sees that she's horribly burned. Aribar drops Moonlight and roots into a belt pouch for an Ultra Shroom which he quickly tosses to the psion. (2 TP, right?) Turn over.

Alexia catches it
"Thanks, Ari..."

Gibby: "Drag, try scanning the guy."

Dragoshi: "...No, you do it."
*He stands back, biding his time... (EoT)*

Gibby rolls his eyes.

Alexia uses it and heals fully.

Gibby takes out his dex and scans up the soldier.

Alexia: "Much better. Thanks, love."

Smash Dex: "...DING!"

Digifanatic stares at Alexia, and that at Ari...

Last Survivor: "Where's that cocky Quester spirit I hate so much?"

Digifanatic: .oO(I need to get my mind checked...)

Gibby puts his dex away, and looks up at the soldier. Not having much else to use attack wise, he leaps upward at him and gives his barrier a good horizontal slash.

Metal Man (GM): Hit.

Gibby leaps back and holds on to his remaining TP thus ending his turn.

Aribar: "Guys, none of my magic will even dent him!"

Last Survivor: "The legendary Gibby... reduced to a paper cut's worth of damage? Ha ha ha."

Alexia: "I might be able to."

Trigger: "What about Wraith?"

Gibby: "Psh... I'm only getting started, buddy."

Dragoshi: "...The only thing I'd do would be able to put minor dents in him with my strongest attacks."

Digifanatic checks out the situation about that barrier, and decides that only a couple of things may work well against the Survivor and/or his barrier: he goes with Celestial Fury and then attempts a Light Ray.

Last Survivor: "You call that... magic? I am disgusted!"

Metal Man (GM): First you miss with the Celestial Fury, then your light ray pings off of his Mbarrier.

Alexia: "You have to give it up eventually. Your leader is dead. You have no reason to fight us."

Dragoshi: .oO.("...*Draconic* you too.")

Aribar: "We need to dispel that barrier!"

Last Survivor: "Only... after... I kill you all."

Dragoshi: "..."

Alexia: "It wouldn't DO anything. Kuja'll still be dead."

Last Survivor: "We can then fight you... in the afterlife. There is... no death... there..."

Metal Man (GM): He laughs dryly to himself.

Alexia attempts to perform a little mind trick on him... Charm!
*DC 20 MNT check or he loses 1 point of STR.*

Metal Man (GM): You attempt to mess up his STR... it bounces off his Mbarrier.

Last Survivor: "Your magic is useless!"

Gibby: "Magic's no good it seems..."

Alexia blinks in surprise (EoT)
"...We need a Neutralizer."

Digifanatic: "Yeah..."

Trigger starts to charge up his smash attack.

The Wraith: .oO(You want magic? I'll show ya magic...) The wraith lets out a shrill, fierce shriek as he bursts forth a rather potent blast of magical energy... followed by a second blast that completely dwarfs the first. Here's to breakin' that barrier, if it's possible...

Metal Man (GM): The barrier blocks all of them.
It appears pretty dang thick.

Gibby: "Damn..."

The Wraith growls again... This isn't good.

Digifanatic: *At a half-mutter* "Someone scan just that barrier..."

Metal Man (GM): The Mbarrier dissipates.
He glows with dark energy and raises a hand at Aribar.

Last Survivor: "...DARK ENERGY WAVE!"

Aribar: "N-no!"

The Wraith: "!!!"

Metal Man (GM): Only Aribar.

Trigger: "Oh, crap."

Aribar tries to resist what might possibly be the most vile spell in existence...

Metal Man (GM): 500 dark damage... plus all the status effects in existence happen to you simultaneously.
The power of this one is absolutely amazing.

Aribar falls to the ground, looking a lot more pale and weak.

Metal Man (GM): It's like the hatred of Zio, Kuja, and all of them dead guys put together cursed you.

Gibby: "Woah... that's... that's unreal!"

Digifanatic: "Oh, holy..."

Trigger: "..."

Dragoshi: "...The hell? ...What's a Dark Energy Wave?"

Alexia: "ARIIIII!"

The Wraith is... trembling in the air...

Gibby: "I'm not sure, but I don't want to be a part of it!"

Last Survivor: "It is... Zio's last wish... to see him dead."

Dragoshi: "..."

Last Survivor: "Hah hah haaa!"

Aribar is on the ground... Not moving.

Gibby: "Grr..."

Last Survivor: "All who you have killed... shall ensure you die with them!"

Dragoshi: "...Ay carumba... Well... Uhh... Hmm..." *Cyclone!*

Metal Man (GM): You manage to hit him.
His armor blocks all of it. He falls into the pit and floats right back out.

Gibby: "Drat."

Last Survivor: "You must be missing a few brain cells."

Dragoshi: "...Well, it was worth a shot."
*He then shrugs, assumes a defensive stance, and ends his turn. (Defending. Saving remaining 3 TP. EoT)*

Gibby: "I'm done playing games..."

Last Survivor: "...Because you lost them all to me."

Dragoshi: .oO(...Smartarse)

Gibby tilts his sword in a different direction, and leaps upward at survivor. With a growl he slashes at him horizontally twice with the last one being a spinning slash.

Metal Man (GM): Miss, hit

Gibby leaps back to the others and saves the remaining TP once again. (EoT)

Metal Man (GM): Good work, only... 398 more slashes to go.

Digifanatic hopes that he can take advantage of the Survivor's lack of shielding. He goes for a Fire Punch (needing a critical) and goes for the best.

Metal Man (GM): Well, you get your critical.

Digifanatic: .oO(This means I'm-a get walloped...)

Alexia takes advantage of the barrier being down by trying to throw him with TK.

Metal Man (GM): B-word miss.

Alexia defends (EoT)

Digifanatic: "Go get him."

The Wraith growls as he looks this guy over... He'd be able to deal plenty of damage, but for what? This has to end quicker than the spirit is capable of dealing outright... So he eyes around, scanning the supersoldier and his surroundings for possible weak points and advantages...

Metal Man (GM): Surroundings: Sagging factory pieces, the occasional girder.
Mr. Survivor: A magically charged superhuman in some of the most lethal armor made.
Armed with magical attacks and laser machinegun power, and possibly aid from all of the people you killed.
Weakness: He has yet to enchant his armor.

The Wraith just looks and ponders, looks and ponders, trying to come up with a plan of action that would disable this guy right quick-like... A check?

Metal Man (GM): You decide it's time to order Dominoes.
Dominoes. The pizza you eat when attacked by an unearthly manaic.

Alexia: "Uh, you might want to look harder, Wraith..."

The Wraith figures that's probably not a very good idea given the current situation, so keeps thinking...

Metal Man (GM): He thinks... and thinks... and decides thinking about how to defeat him is likely to eat up too much precious time.

The Wraith: *EoT.*

Metal Man (GM): Last Survivor's turn

Gibby: "Get ready, guys."

Last Survivor: "Allow me to rip you to shreds!"

Trigger: "..."

Metal Man (GM): Two portals appear, one on each side of you. They attempt to rip your temporal existance to shreds. MNT checks.
So... 100 damage to Dragoshi, 120 to Wraith, 0 to Alexia, 160 to Digi, 20 to Trigger. This is magical damage.

Alexia manages to resist the portals completely.

Metal Man (GM): 50 to Digi.
160 to Gibby, yes.

Alexia: "Hm. Party trick."

Gibby gets blasted with the portals and falls on his back.

The Wraith has...5 HP remaining. O.o;;;

Trigger takes a little damage.

Gibby: "Ah... crap."

Digifanatic is somewhat scathed by the attack but doesn't show signs of extreme pain...

The Wraith is rather mauled and maimed by that bizarre attack, barely maintaining his form, looking like he's ready to just... fall apart.

Dragoshi takes 93 damage "...Ow." (93/325. Going up in damage)

Metal Man (GM): The status effects persist, even after death... brb, as I get myself a snack.

Aribar gives off a dim yellow glow for a moment and his coloring gets a bit better. He groans and stumbles back to his feet, amazed to be alive. "By... By Whaller..." The elf realizes this isn't the place to be dumbfounded. The elf's teammates are counting on his potent magic.

The Wraith: *Damage: 195/200*

Alexia: "Ari! You're okay!"
*She looks at Ari, overjoyed.*

Aribar doesn't get up. He remains on the ground, Stunned.

Gibby: "Take it easy, Ari..."

Aribar wound try and break that Poison's hold on him then.

Metal Man (GM): Fail.

Dragoshi has no idea on what to do, so he tries to figure out if there's a way to take this guy out quickly.

Metal Man (GM): You think... of running away.

Dragoshi: .oO(...It appears that at this point, running away would be a good idea...
...I'll try and hold out a little longer...)
*He then assumes his defensive stance once again (Defending. Saving remaining TP. EoT)*

Gibby takes a look up at Survivor to see where the location of the necklace and the book are exactly.

Metal Man (GM): He holds the book in one hand, statue-of-liberty style.
The necklace hangs on his next, a single crystal, drained of blood.

Gibby decides to deal with the book first. The necklace didn't appear to be that useful. He leaps towards Survivor and slashes at the book twice.

Metal Man (GM): Hit, miss.
He's hit, the book is too, but it doesn't seem to do more than damage.

Gibby leaps back and lofts an eyebrow. No destruction? Strange... he uses his last TP to toss an ultra shroom to John... if he can even use it that is.

Metal Man (GM): Sure he can.

The Wraith ...somehow... uses the mushroom, and manages to pull itself back together into one solid mass...

Dragoshi: "...Dayumn."

Alexia: "Perhaps the necklace..."

Trigger: "Destroy the necklace?"

Gibby: "Might as well try."

Alexia: "Worth a try."

Trigger: "Ok, but I don't think I could damage any part of him."

Digifanatic hopes that such advice will work for him. He goes for two Light Rays directly at the necklace rather than the armor and sets himself up with Digital Barrier by the time everything's settled.

Metal Man (GM): Miss, miss

Digifanatic misses but he's still all comfy in his cybery bubbly goodness.

Alexia tries to rip the necklace off and fling it towards the group using TK.

Metal Man (GM): MISS

Trigger trys to hit the necklace with a rocket strike.

Metal Man (GM): Miss

The Wraith: .oO(...His armor has no enchantments, and his Mbarrier is down... His only defense is his own mind... No more... This has to end... NOW!) The wraith... charges forward, diving straight for the supersoldier in an attempt to possess him.

Digifanatic: "This should be fun."

Metal Man (GM): Hit
You attempt to possess him... however a technicality is in the way.
He's already possessed by about 20 different souls.
So you manage instead to posses his armor...
Which makes him unable to move for a round.
At the expense of your turn for that round as well.

The Wraith would... try to shatter the armor while he's there!

Metal Man (GM): He still can dodge n' block damage, just no attack.
The armor is ungodly tough, you'd need more powerful than you've got.

Last Survivor: "How... dare... you... try to... control... us!"

Dragoshi: "...Heh."

Alexia: "...Us?"

Digifanatic: "Control us. Crazy..."

Aribar is half-burned, half-frozen, feeling incredibly sick, and can't think straight. Oh, they shouldn't have come here. Evil powers were here. Dark things. Dark things that nearly killed him and the others. Aribar first tries to make sense of things.

Digifanatic: "Uhhhhhhhh..."

Dragoshi: "Us? ...Bleh?"

Aribar tries again since that probably failed.

Metal Man (GM): Fail... then succeed.
2 TP gone.

Aribar: "Gah... Okay, time to finally help!"
*He mutters a short incantation and his hand is covered in red fire. A snap of his fingers brings all that energy lancing over to above the soldier's head and unleashes an explosion of fire. Burning embers rain down upon the area, thankfully avoiding the Questers.*

Alexia: "You okay now, Ari?"

Digifanatic: "I think he's fine."

Alexia: "Well, relatively?" *Upon seeing the half burn half freeze.*

Digifanatic: "Yup... he's fine alright off of that one."

Aribar: "N-not really that fine... Cold... Hot... Ill..."

Metal Man (GM): Hit. You set him on fire... which is plain eerie. However, it weakens his armor... and burns the Wraith.
That is, for 35 magic damage.
Also, failure on that check.

The Wraith can take it... heh, looks like that Ultra Shroom came in handy after all.

Alexia: O_O "...You set him on fire..."

Trigger: "Wow, nice one Ari..."

Alexia: ^_^ "Nice job!"

Digifanatic: "Wraith, you should get out of there..."

Dragoshi: "Good one."

Aribar: "There." *Cough.* "Try your attacks now. Weakened armor a little."

Digifanatic: "Yeah, I like it."

Gibby: "Excellent, Ari."

Metal Man (GM): Miss

Dragoshi: "..."
*He sighs, ending his turn.*

Gibby decides to try getting at the necklace instead. He leaps up at him and tries two vertical slashes, first a downward, and then a quick thrust upward.

Metal Man (GM): You slash the necklace, but it doesn't seem to harm him any extraordinary amount either.

Gibby leaps back and ends his turn.
"Well the items don't seem to have much of an effect..."

Alexia: "We at least need to get rid of the book. Whatever's in it, it can't be good."

Dragoshi: "...Yea. And, ya'd THINK since his armor's possessed it'd slow him down a LITTLE."

Digifanatic just keeps on going and hopes that Ari's spell has helped his offensive... he tacks on one Celestial Fury for his turn.

"Every bit helps..."

Dragoshi: "...Yes, I suppose so."

Metal Man (GM): Good... only ten times the length until now until you win!
Alexia

Alexia tries again to yank the necklace off.

Metal Man (GM): You yank a board outta the floor.

Trigger trys to smack the necklace off of him with another rocket strike.

Metal Man (GM): Miss

Trigger trys a smash attack.

Metal Man (GM): Miss

The Wraith would notice that the armor has become weakened by the fire... But how much so? The wraith attempts to utilize this, again attempting to break it. If it's obviously futile, he resorts to Plan B... switching to the ethereal realm.

Metal Man (GM): Gonna have to re-possess the armor to try and stop him this time, although his massive soul-accumulation appears to be a red flag.
Futile without re-possessing it.

The Wraith decides to go with Plan B, then... It's difficult to get in there, but he knows he can switch over easily enough.

Metal Man (GM): You switch to the ethereal realm... bad idea.
You see almost every person the Questers have killed on the QH or Kuja side there.
And they're all hopping mad.

The Wraith at this point wishes that he could use some form of BIG KERBOOM attack to blow all those spirits away and hopefully take some of the supersoldier's power away...

Metal Man (GM): Soldiers, vampires (The armadillo was never defeated), Kuja's commanders... even some of the nobodies who died instead of being annihilated by The Void.
They pretty much blanket the area from all sides. Without so much as stopping to talk to you, they rush forward with the combined power of about 15 years of technology.
Good time to leave the realm, heh.

The Wraith: .oO(...This is going to be fun.)
*FLEE ASAP.*

Metal Man (GM): You flee just before the immense cloud of gunfire can reach you.
You reappear in the normal realm, the hole you opened spewing some lasers and fireballs before closing.

Dragoshi: "..."

The Wraith looks rather... frazzled, but alright.

Last Survivor: "There is no way you can defeat all of us in the Ethereal Realm. If there was only more than one body left!"

Gibby: "...What the heck happened to you?"

Metal Man (GM): Last Survivor
He moves his hands around before then summoning a wireframe version of Master Hand, which he then sends after all of you at once.
180 normal damage, threatens all of you.

Digifanatic is reeling now...

Alexia gets slammed and lies on the ground, eyes closed.

The Wraith braces himself... and sees the hand whiff right through him. Phew...

Gibby is deaded.

Digifanatic: "Ari, now is the time in which you run like wildfire away from her."

Dragoshi gets hit for 173 damage... Still standing though. (...266/325)
He facepalms and chuckles as Digi says that.

Aribar is laser'd, bullet'd, and crush'd to death'd. Er. Death.

Dragoshi attempts to err... STEAL THE BOOK!!

Last Survivor: "Come on, show me how pathetic you are by attacking me with physical damage."

Metal Man (GM): You steal Aribar's left shoe.
It's good for throwing.
His armor seems back to normal, too.

Dragoshi: "..." *Is about to say something but doesn't. He eats an Ultra Shroom, and defends if he has the TP, ending his turn*

Gibby did the thing with the dying and the not fighting.

Last Survivor HP: 201/2000

Digifanatic is just a bit annoyed at the lack of damage that has been dealt. He dittos Dragoshi's action and takes an Ultra Shroom... defending as well, again.
"Just trash the heck out of him in you can."

The Wraith just growls... Straight-up attacking won't do much good... Not powerful enough to take on those empowering spirits... Blast it! The least he can do is put a reflective barrier around Aribar until something better comes up. EoT.

And Julian joins the battle!

Last Survivor: "You've been taking your sweet time. You won't be able to stop me, though."

Digifanatic: "Oh, thank you, Julian."

Dragoshi: "...Finally."

Gibby: "I've never been more happier to see you in my life."

Metal Man pokes Julian.

Metal Man (GM): The Last Survivor uses his powers to get a sandwich. I mean...
*gets a sandwich, brb a moment.*

Last Survivor: "So, Julian. Finally decided to fight me?"

Julian Sawyer: "I've been busy."

Last Survivor: "I'll show you the true meaning of death!"

Metal Man (GM): He raises a hand... which suddenly starts glowing like a mini-sun.

Julian Sawyer: "Seen it once, that ain't it."

Metal Man (GM): Cracks form in reality as he summons a massive circle-shaped symbol, which then fires a thick beam of entirely green energy at Julian.
You are hit dead-on by an Ultima for 1500 damage which pierces all defenses ever created other than another Ultima attack.

Julian Sawyer: *Well damn.*

Dragoshi: "..."

Metal Man (GM): Fortunately... that eats up his turn.

Aribar gets up from the ground. He's in a lot of pain... The elf waves his hand about creating a ghastly cloud of frost and mist and pushes it towards the armored menace. Joints freeze and limbs stiffen as the enchantment (hopefully) takes hold over the Last Survivor.

Julian Sawyer: *Yeah, Julian's kinda not there anymore.*

Dragoshi: "...HOLY HELL ON A HAM SANDWICH!"

Digifanatic: "You like your ham. And cliches."

Gibby: "... I am ALL for running right now."

Dragoshi: "...That was my original idea. Though, seeing as we held out a little longer for a miracle and jack SHIHART happened to help us, I'm all for running as well."

Metal Man (GM): Miss.

Last Survivor: "We are not amused."

Aribar: "We can't run. He'll revive Kuja!" *The elf says this while panting... He's tired out...*

Digifanatic: "Yeah..."

Dragoshi: "...Look. We'll lose either way."

Gibby: "Blast! If we stay we'll die, if we leave we'll die... UGH!"

Last Survivor: "You may leap into the pit and die now. Thanks."

Trigger: "Only if we could do something about the barrier."

Metal Man (GM): He has no barrier for now.

Dragoshi: "...Fine, if you're going to be idiots..." *Assumes defensive stance, ending his turn.*

Metal Man (GM): There's plenty of girders above... and your dexes... just in case you want to try something funny.

Gibby looks back up again... was there a girder directly above Survivor's head?

Trigger: "Hmm."

Metal Man (GM): There's several above you all.
Including him.

Gibby: "Alright guys... I'm going to try something here. Something that may hurt us, but it might also hurt him as well. You ready?"

Aribar: "Just don't tell the plan. He'll hear!"

Dragoshi: "...If it helps us, then I'm all for it"

Gibby nods to them and looks to Survivor. He then leaps high into the air, well past him, and uses his flight to get up up to the girders. He uses three of his TP to get to the girder over him and then applies some C4 on it. He activates it and quickly leaps back to the others before it goes boom.

Metal Man (GM): *BOOM Shudder*
The girder falls down. This does the following...
It falls down on Aribar.
*SMACK* 50 damage... and you've got a heavy girder on your head!
Luckily there are more of them.

The Wraith: *Or, rather, it bounces off of the barrier.*

Metal Man (GM): It bounces off the barrier then.

Gibby: *SUPER ULTA HYPER MEGA SWEATDROP OF D00M.*

Aribar tries to Chaos Control it above the Soldier's head.

Gibby: "That... did not go as planned."

Metal Man (GM): Chaos control... hmmmm...
That'll be... 5 CP... and...
It does nothing unusual. However, since it was put over his head, it conks him good.

Last Survivor: "Grrrrr!"

Gibby: "...Well at least it's something. Sorry about that, Ari..."

Trigger: "Great, not you've gona and pissed him off."

Aribar: "Try not aiming for my head next time!"

Gibby: "I didn't! It bounced off his barrier!"

Digifanatic takes this turn with extreme caution. First off, he goes for another Celestial Fury on that Survivor, followed by a Light Ray. Next... he defends Julian by assuming his stance over the recently-revived ally.

Metal Man (GM): 24... *ping.*

Trigger attacks Survivor with a smash attack.
He attacks Survivor with a rocket strike.

The Wraith looks up, then at the supersoldier, then at his allies... He turns around and starts waving them away, pointing toward the exit... The ghost's got a plan. And he doesn't want anyone gettin' in the way... He hovers with a firm, resolute look on its face as it points toward the door. He means business...

Metal Man (GM): Last Survivor

Gibby looks over at John and nods in agreement. True, Kuja could be revived, but it was something they could deal with another day. If they stuck around any longer... they were going to get killed.

Last Survivor: "You have merely been able to barely wound me and harm my head a little. You will die!"

Aribar looks to John. "We can't leave now! It is not, ah, ENTIRELY hopeless!"

Gibby: "Face it, Ari... we're out of options."

The Wraith just points firmly at the door, flaring a bit of red as he glares at Ari.

Dragoshi: "...Ari. Shut it. I have to agree with our ghostly friend."

Last Survivor: "You shall not escape... vile Questers. We have waited countless years for this day! Now witness your final destruction!"

Metal Man (GM): He starts glowing. A lot. It must be... Trance?

The Wraith shakes his head as he goes to get right in front of LS...

Aribar: "Even if we do escape he'll just come after us! We must... Stop him... Oh no."

Digifanatic: "Oh man."

Gibby: "Ok, now we have NO options. We RUN!"

Metal Man (GM): However, he begins to... crack?

Dragoshi: "..."

Gibby: "..."

Dragoshi: "...Did he over-step his limits?"

The Wraith spins around, and POINTS again at the door!

Last Survivor: "Arghhh!!! There's not enough flesh for all of these souls! THE POWER IS TOO INTENSE!!!"

Gibby: "...What is he..."

Metal Man (GM): His armor disintegrates and he falls into the pit, burning.

The Wraith: .oO(...)

Dragoshi: "...Oh, bloody WONDERFUL."

Metal Man (GM): You hear a massive explosion a few moments later.

Dragoshi: "..."

Metal Man (GM): ...And with that, he is dead.

Aribar winces as he hears the explosion.

Gibby: "...You've GOT to be KIDDING me!"

The Wraith: *...* *Sweatdrop.*

Dragoshi then chuckles, and shakes his head.

Metal Man (GM): Apparently his greatest weakness... was you guys actually giving up.

Aribar: "There. The secret to reviving Kuja is hopefully gone forever..."

Gibby: "WHAT WAS THAT ALL ABOUT?"

Dragoshi: "Nope. No foolin."

Digifanatic: "WHOA."

Metal Man (GM): He was all prepared to FIGHT forever....

Gibby: "I--He--We---WHAT?"

Digifanatic: "THAT is screwed up!"

Julian Sawyer: *And that's when Julian decides to revive! A Generic blue warp portal appears on the ground, with Julian rising out and ready to raise some hell* "Alright! You-...Where'd he go?"

Digifanatic: "I have NO idea."

Gibby: "...He exploded."

Dragoshi: "...He spontaneously asploded."

The Wraith points down at the smoldering pit...

Gibby: "...He FREAKIN' exploded."

Metal Man (GM): But had you either damaged him heavily or, what you did here, attempt to leave... he wasn't capable of trancing without exploding.

Digifanatic asks Dex what the heck it was about since they really don't know IC...

Metal Man (GM): Oh. And for some completionist-ism, you see Lashiec's body nearby, impaled on his own staff.

Aribar: "Now can we leave?"

Metal Man (GM): Nope, they both exploded. Violently.

Julian Sawyer: "Yeah, we're done here..."

Gibby: "...I just... ugh..."

Dragoshi: "...Heh. What's with the dead guy on a stick?"

Metal Man (GM): Turns out the latter was useless and the former suicidal.

Gibby: "I don't believe any of this..."

Digifanatic: "Dex, just what caused that?!"

Julian Sawyer: "Hell if I know. Everyone up!" *Julian grabs Aribar and heads back up to the first floor.*

Metal Man (GM): A light appears, and then a being... it appears to be... Alys. Or at least a ghost of her.

Digifanatic: "Alright... wait, Jules."

Dragoshi looks at the ghost.

Aribar: "Hold on, Julian."

Gibby: "No... way!"

Alys: "The last of the past villains have been laid to rest. You can move on now."

Aribar: "Is that who I think it is?"

Digifanatic: "Oh... cool. She's back."

Dragoshi: "...And, you are?"

The Wraith blinks a bit, backing away as he sees this... He bows.

Gibby: "DUDE! It's Alys!"

Digifanatic: "She's an old friend of ours."

Dragoshi: "Ah."

Alys: "I have come here to inform you that you won't be pestered by them any longer."

Digifanatic: "Dragoshi, meet Alys Brangwin... or at least the spirit of."

Julian Sawyer: "...'Kay."

Gibby sighs deeply.
"Thank you, Alys."

Julian Sawyer: "Kinda figured that out."

Aribar: "Alys! You're... Well, not alive, but... Still, it's nice to see you. Especially when bearing good news."

Digifanatic: "Yes."

The Wraith smiles, nods, and emits some rasping noises.

Dragoshi: "...Well... Thanks for telling us."

Gibby: "Julian! Show some damn respect once in awhile..."

Alys: "I never was supposed to live very long in the long run."

Julian Sawyer: "Seein' as how their last hope 'pparently jus' fell into a pit an' exploded."

Alys hears whatever The Wraith says.
"It was because his body was not made to withstand all of those souls.
Like all of them, their ego was more than their actual physical bodies could handle."

Digifanatic: "I imagine."

Julian Sawyer: "No kiddin'..."

Alys: "Although Kuja is a bit more of a permanent thing on its own... and why he died."

Gibby nods... now he gets it. Just too much fuel in the tank.

Dragoshi: "...Huh. Apparently he was built to last a lot of incidents but not a huge amount of souls in one body."

Digifanatic: "When do we NOT meet a villain who's an egotistic, arrogant, cocky freak?"

Aribar: "Umm... Alys, may I ask an unrelated question? I'm not sure if you'd know the answer or not..."

Alys: "He attempted to summon Kuja back... but Kuja's existence was destroyed... so he summoned self-destruction. On top of overloading his weak body."

Digifanatic: "Ah."

Alys: "...Yes?"

Gibby: "So his quest was pointless..."

Aribar: "What are the purpose of the Cycles on Nintendus? Are they meant to be destroyed or protected?"

Dragoshi: "...Yep. And, apparently he killed HIMSELF."

Alys: "They are enforced by lords who have no business messing with time."

Julian Sawyer: "So the former?"

Alys: "You have seen how vile The Void was. They all made the cycles in order to rule reality."

Digifanatic: "Yeah..."

Julian Sawyer: "...So the former?"

Alys: "The Void was merely sensible enough to find their level of control boring... due to his chaotic nature, such order most likely galled him. Yes. They should be destroyed."

Dragoshi: "...No one can or SHOULD be able to truly rule reality. I mean, power corrupts, and that much of it..." *He shudders.*

Aribar stays silent for a moment and thinks things over. "I see. Thank you, Alys. That has really helped me..."

Julian Sawyer: "Good. All I needed to hear."

Alys: "I must leave now. No Ethereal being from beyond can manifest for more than a few moments without some sort of summons."

Dragoshi: "No way in HELL, we're gonna let these Phantom Lords continue this Cycle thing eternally."

Alys: "And Aribar... you STILL have a slow swing!"

Aribar: "H-hey!"

Gibby grins.

Dragoshi: "..."

Alys vanishes.

The Wraith raises an eyebrow, smirking...

Gibby: "Nice meeting you, Alys..."

Julian Sawyer: "...That's just lame."

Dragoshi chuckles.

The Wraith: .oO(...Where's she been hangin' out over there...?)

Dragoshi: "...But, seriously... Success?"

Gibby: "Well... lets get going."

Julian Sawyer: "I'd say so."

Metal Man (GM): Mission Success - +10,000 coins

Digifanatic: "Yeah..."

Dragoshi: "...Yea. Let's."

Julian Sawyer: "Now if we're done talkin' to dead people..." *Sets up a Warp.*

Gibby sheaths his sword.

Metal Man (GM): +3,000 EXP to the people who were through the battle
+500 to the people who only were there for fractions.

Digifanatic: "And, Ari, whenever I get to it, I'll tell Alexia that apparently, you just don't seem to feel interested for her..."
*Same here.*

Metal Man (GM): As you might have guessed, you could have 'accomplished' it had you killed the nearly invincible Last Survivor.
They were killed entirely by ???.
Their bodies along with a manifested Kuja body are strewn across the HQ.
A warp back home appears.

Aribar: "Uh, Digi, I think... Err... That I can handle it."

Digifanatic: "Alright..."

Gibby: "This deserves a victory snack!"

Julian Sawyer: "Job's over, let's get outta here!" *Heads into the warp.*

Gibby waddles his way into the warp so he can go back home and eat.

Digifanatic: "Right."
*He follows em on in.*

Dragoshi heads into the warp as well.

Aribar: "At least, ah... I think she would..." *The elf sighs.* "Well, I think I can handle it." *The elf heads into the warp.*

Digifanatic: *Also now when his elemental attacks go under effect of elements = freebies.*

The Wraith just drifts on into the warp, sighing a breath of relaxation... and taking another swig of that bottle.

Julian Sawyer heads for Metal's Office when they get back. Buncha stuff happened that needed to be told in-person.

Dragoshi does the same as Julian.

Julian Sawyer: *Knocks on Metal's door when he gets there* "Yo! Mets! Mission report!"

Digifanatic heads to the kitchen cause he hadn't eaten in a while pre-mission.

Aribar follows Digi...

Digifanatic: "Nothing like an occasional slab of grilled fish."

The Wraith drifts aimlessly about HQ for a little bit before he heads on to his own room, opening up his dex as he moves... and takin' another swig.

Aribar: "Hey, ah, Digi?"

Digifanatic: "Yeah, man?"

Aribar: "Ah... Why did you seem to be so willing to get me to run away from Alexia earlier? Just a joke... Er... Right."

Julian Sawyer: *Stuff I gotta talk to you about!*

Digifanatic: "Because apparently you don't seem interested in her the way she's interested in you."

Aribar: "Oh... Okay... Well, ah... Should be getting to bed... Goodnight."

Digifanatic: "Yeah."

Aribar heads to his room.

Digifanatic takes a bite out of fish and waves as Ari walks off.
"Man, this stuff is good."
*He takes his plate with him as he also heads to his room.

Dragoshi walks to the kitchen to get something to eat.

Julian Sawyer: *Anyone curious enough to enter the Stadium Gift Shop would see Julian... looking at armor? What the?*

Editor's Note: After what happened there? I don't blame him.

Dragoshi then takes his own meal, which is apparently a largely stacked sandwich with chips as he decides to wander across the place, eating his meal.
