Super Smash Quest - Story - Chapter 307: Gravity Egg Part III: Furious Fakeout

Metal Man (GM): CONTINUATION
Ivo, despite being half-stopped, prepares for the final assault. The Questers are in the highest room in the death-egg, facing the elevator downwards. A gravity elevator, of course.
Below awaits the heart of the Gravity Egg, as the moon slowly decays in its extremely close orbit to Nintendus.
Wolfman somehow ends up in here... must have taken a wrong turn earlier.
Alexia: "Here we go. Our last chance."
Metal Man (GM): Robotnik's voice issues forth from a damaged PA system.
Dragoshi: "Yep."
Trigger: "Let's go!"
Dragoshi moves on ahead, going to the bridge.
Trigger follows Dragoshi.
Alexia follows Dragoshi, gun wielded.
Wolfman follows along, tense and yet ready all at the same time. .oO(Okay, found everyone again... now just don't blow it.)
Dragoshi: "No time to screw around, people! Now hurry up! " *Draws scythe while running.*
Trigger takes out his sword.
Alexia starts flying at full speed.
Dragoshi does the same as Alexia.
Ivo Robotnik: "Even with my main weapon damaged, the Gravity device disabled, and miscellaneous damage... you will never defeat me!"
Trigger starts running as fast as he can.
Wolfman starts to get into flight mode... anyone want a lift?
Dragoshi: "Oh, shut up."
Trigger: "Idiot."
Gibby quietly unsheaths his sword, tips his feather hat, inflates, and follows the others.
Alexia: "Egotistical idiot."
Trigger gets on Wolf.
"Thanks."
Alexia: "How much you wanna bet he has some sort of deathmachine ready for us?"
Trigger: "I do."
Wolfman: "Nothing, thanks."
Dragoshi: "..." *Continues flying, ignoring Alexia's question.*
Metal Man (GM): You fall down the gravity tube.
Digifanatic has apparently fallen down with them...
Wolfman hopes to "hover" down.
Metal Man (GM): You reach the next location: Floor 10, much closer to the bridge itself.
Alexia flies down the tube.
Gibby lets out some air and falls down the tube to floor 10.
Metal Man (GM): A hallway leads into a square room, with three doors.
Alexia keeps flying towards the bridge.
Trigger: "Looks like we are almost to the bridge."
Dragoshi follows the others, not wasting any time.
Alexia: "...Of COURSE."
Digifanatic keeps running with them to the doors...
Metal Man (GM): ...Oh... geez... Ivo appears to have been a super-genius with his hallways too!
Alexia lands.
Metal Man (GM): There's three doors... all marked 'To Bridge'
Wolfman: "Which door do we take... slag it!"
Gibby: "They -all- go to the bridge?"
Dragoshi: "...Prolly."
Digifanatic: "Either it's a trap or something..."
Alexia steps to the wall beside the left door and opens it with her TK.
Wolfman: "Probably different meanings of 'bridge'. Split up, or stay together?"
Gibby: "Stay... we can't risk low numbers."
Digifanatic: "As usual."
Dragoshi: "Stay together, of course."
Trigger: "We could split into small teams?"
Digifanatic: "No..."
Dragoshi: "No, dammit."
Digifanatic: "Too risky, way too risky."
Trigger: "Fine..."
Metal Man (GM): Left door opens. The entire room is filled with flames.
Digifanatic: "Quick! Another door!"
Metal Man (GM): AGI checks to avoid a never-ending stream of fireballs.
Alexia: "Not that one."
Wolfman: "So... which door... drat!"
Gibby: "EEP!"
Trigger: "OH WOW, NICE ONE!!"
Wolfman attempts to dodge.
Metal Man (GM): Roll of 17 or lower: 50 fire damage.
Dragoshi gracefully evades.
Metal Man (GM): The door slams shut after burning the area thoroughly.
Trigger is safe.
Gibby BARELY avoided that one.
Digifanatic is not concerned about the flames yet...
Alexia: "Ow, ow, ow..."
Gibby: "Uhh... middle door then?"
Wolfman: "Okay, do we go for the right door, and then center?"
Metal Man (GM): One door down... two left.
Digifanatic: "Fine."
Trigger: "Ok."
Gibby: "Well we're not going to get anywhere by standing around."
Dragoshi: "Yea."
Alexia opens the middle door.
Metal Man (GM): The door opens to pure vacuum. It attempts to suck you all out.
Gibby: "Oh crap!"
Dragoshi: "Yeesh."
Metal Man (GM): DC 13. If you fail, you fly out and lose a life.
Editor's Note: Wow, how cheap! Glad I don't GM like that anymore.
Wolfman is NOT happy...
Dragoshi: *LUCK.*
Wolfman gets his claws in the ground in time.
Digifanatic runs away from the vacuum and opens the right hand door.
Gibby sticks his sword into the ground and clings on to it tightly.
Alexia warps back in with one life gone
"My luck is really, really sucky today..."
Metal Man (GM): Digi: The right door is correct.
Gibby: "Alexia, you can't open doors anymore."
Digifanatic: "Finally! Come on!"
*He runs into the hallway.*
Wolfman lost his passenger.
Alexia runs through the right door, following Digi.
Dragoshi is sucked in through a vacuum, and possibly down to his last life.
Metal Man (GM): Trigger is also sucked out.
Gibby enters the right door.
Metal Man (GM): -1 life to everyone with 13 and lower rolls.
Wolfman continues on through the right door.
Metal Man (GM): The hallway is filled with disabled laser cannons.
However, he has one ace up his sleeve:
A huge metallic door blocking the way.
Gibby stops in front of the door.
Alexia: "...Oh, come on!"
Metal Man (GM): It has no visible hinges or open buttons.
Alexia attempts to pull it open with her TK.
Dragoshi: "...Grrr..."
Digifanatic runs up to this sucker and wonders how thick it is... he gives it a knock...
Wolfman takes a look... okay, strange...
Metal Man (GM): Roll a MNT check.
You fail to bust it open.
Wolfman: "Is this another door we have to break down or reason with?"
Digifanatic tries to Fire Punch it open...
Dragoshi: "...If it's the former then I can help."
Metal Man (GM): *BOING* It blocks you.
Gibby looks around for any sign of a console within the room.
Wolfman: "And if it's the latter...?"
Trigger tries to slice the door open.
Alexia watches Digi nearly break his knuckles.
Dragoshi attempts to carve it down with his scythe... After Trigger tries.
Digifanatic: "Gah, man..."
Metal Man (GM): The door is very tough. No consoles anywhere.
Digifanatic: "That better work..."
Metal Man (GM): Even so, unless it's laser, it's sorta worthless against this door.
Dragoshi: "Well, my turn now" *Attempts to carve down the door with his laser scythe.*
Metal Man (GM): *SLASH* It throws sparks. Hmmm... this appears to be electricity-conducting metal this door is made out of.
Dragoshi: "...Huh."
Wolfman: "Did you find anything Dragoshi?"
Dragoshi: "...Hmmm... Maybe..." *Attempts to Earth Bite the door.*
Metal Man (GM): Earth does not disturb the door.
Dragoshi: "...Well, it was worth a shot."
Gibby: "Great... we're stu--"
Digifanatic: "Right." *Tries a Light Ray on this...*
Gibby takes a look over at the laser cannons.
Wolfman just sits, waiting.
Gibby: "Say... is there any way we could use one of those laser cannons to help us?"
Digifanatic: "Perhaps..."
Metal Man (GM): Light ray throws more sparks, but doesn't knock it down.
Wolfman turns to Gibby.
Trigger sits back with Wolf, waiting as well.
Digifanatic: "But I bet Robotnik locked them up on us..."
Wolfman: "...sounds like a good idea to me."
Digifanatic does stand out of the way of the cannon...
Dragoshi does the same as Digi.
Wolfman also vamooses.
Gibby: "Hmm... I wonder how we can get one up and running..."
Trigger gets behind someone.
Alexia steps out of the way of the cannon.
Digifanatic decides to just look for a way to turn it on, then...
Metal Man (GM): Digi: Use computer check.
Digifanatic can't find anything yet...
Trigger: "If you need help switching it on, I'll be glad to do it."
Digifanatic: "Sure..."
Aribar is... With the group again provided Metal lets him.
Trigger walks up to the panel and gets to work.
Metal Man (GM): You sorta play with the wires and get nothing.
Trigger plays with the wires and also, nothing. Seems like no power.
Your computer prowess is frustrating; you do everything possible to turn it on, but it seems to lack power.
Aribar: "Ahh... Sorry for getting left behind again. Shoes got untied... Still can't tie them with one hand."
Trigger: "Hmm..."
Gibby: "We need to give this thing some juice!"
Trigger: "Duh??"
Dragoshi: "...Yep."
Wolfman: "...maybe I can help with some of that. I am a reploid after all."
Digifanatic looks for a "master power" switch of sorts.
Gibby: "...Good call."
Trigger: "Ok."
Dragoshi: "Well, go for it."
Wolfman heads to the others.
"Gibby, you've found the button that can access some of my inner functions. It should be behind the neck or something."
Alexia: "Ari, try Bolting one of those guns."
Trigger: "Let me try one more time."
Gibby: "Uhh... alright then."
Metal Man (GM): No master power switch... you'll need to try some other source of power.
Trigger continues to fumble with wires, to no avail.
Aribar: "Ahh... Bolt is an offensive spell. It might just overload it... Want to take that chance?"
Alexia: "Why not. I can heal."
Digifanatic: "I dunno..."
Gibby gets up on Wolf and searches the neck area for that button. Once he finds it, he presses down on it hard.
Digifanatic: "Alright..."
Aribar: "Heal a mechanical device?"
Wolfman: "OOMPH!"
Gibby: "Pressed!"
Wolfman: "Easy there, will ya?"
Gibby: "Err... sorry. You know how I am with those things."
Wolfman: "Hopefully, a cable or something should be reachable. If so, drag it to the machine."
Metal Man (GM): The ground rumbles and the lights flicker. Wolfman's back panel is opened to reveal a handy electrical outlet thing.
You might need to get Trigger away from that thing.
He'll destroy it if he tries to make it work without power again.
Wolfman: "Trigger, stand down."
Alexia drags Trigger away using TK.
Wolfman: "I'm going to try now."
Trigger walks away from the panel.
Digifanatic: "Yeah... get off that for a minute..."
Alexia: "Enough, Trigger."
Trigger: "Ok."
Dragoshi: "...Well..."
Wolfman: "Okay, hook me up. I can't do this part on my own... this body didn't come with stretchable limbs."
Gibby: "Hmmm... lets see here..." *He reaches into the outlet and pulls out said cable. He then leaps off of Wolf and slowly brings it towards the cannon.*
Wolfman attempts to start his Recharge move... hopefully, it will carry through to the laser cannon without trouble. Still, the move wasn't mean for things like this... (rolling END checkz9

Wolfman: .oO(I hope this works...)
Metal Man (GM): *BZAP* The thing sucks most of your energy and launches it into the door.
The door shudders and opens, making a 3 foot gap...
You have 20 HP left.
Wolfman overdid it.
"Ugh..."
Trigger: "...You ok?"
Digifanatic: "Like Ari said, Alexia can heal..."
Wolfman: "A little weak... but I'll be fine."
Gibby: "At least we got it open... a little."
Dragoshi: "...Here" *Gives wolf an Ivantek Recovery Vial.*
Aribar: "...Ahh..."
Trigger: "I could try to push it the rest of the way?"
Wolfman quickly takes it... however it's taken.
He feels a little better, but knows that he can easily be destroyed in one hit...

*He nods to Dragoshi.*
Dragoshi: "...Huh."
Trigger: "...What?"
Dragoshi: "Nothing, nothing. Just thinking."
Aribar: "Dragoshi can't cut through it?"
Wolfman gets a look at the hole...
"Hmm...
Gibby: think we can fit through?"
Trigger: "I don't know."
Metal Man (GM): Of course, nothing stops you from firing again.
Gibby: "Well I could probably get through easily. It pays to be small sometimes."
Wolfman: "If I have to, I can crawl down there."
Digifanatic looks at it and thinks he may be able to wriggle through if lucky enough... probably a switch on the other end!
Metal Man (GM): Wolfman sees the other side has no switches.
Also, most power seems down in this area.
Wolfman gets a look at the other side... hmm...
Digifanatic: "Well, either someone's going to have to blow the rest of this up or something."
Metal Man (GM): The only way is to shock it, apparently.
Wolfman: .oO(No switches at the far end? Maybe I need to crawl through and turn around...)
*He turns to... whoever is the main person leading this mission.*
"Gibby: see if you can get to the other side of the door please."
Alexia: "I still say that Ari should try Bolting the power source."
Gibby: "Alright... I'll try."
Digifanatic: "Alright... Alexia says she can heal. I can't imagine we'll all be dying otherwise... But Gibby, go for it."
Aribar: "Okay, okay. I will. Just note that it will not be my fault if it blows up." *The elf walks up to the... Power source. Whatever that is... And Bolts it.* (49 Magical Lightning damage.)
Gibby runs over to the door, blows out some air to help deflate himself, and squeeze through the gap to the other side.
Dragoshi: "...?"
Wolfman gets out of the way of the new hole... things often get out of holes.
Trigger: "..."
Dragoshi does the same as Wolf.
Alexia steps to the side of the hole.
Trigger does the same.
Metal Man (GM): Aribar causes the door to fully open.
Digifanatic: "Nice."
Metal Man (GM): On the other side, it's merely a long corridor.
Trigger: "Nice one."
Digifanatic starts to walk through.
Aribar: "Well, I guess it didn't blow up."
Gibby looks back as the door opens up.
Alexia flies down the corridor.
Gibby: "...How'd you guys do that?"
Metal Man (GM): The lights begin to flicker... seems things are starting to turn on again.
Trigger walks through to the next room.
Dragoshi: "...Good job." *Does the same as Alexia.*
Wolfman: "I don't know..."
Metal Man (GM): The door ahead is a sliding door, with a panel.
Aribar takes his place at the back of the group.
Metal Man (GM): It is shut and unpowered.
Wolfman was watching the hole, not Aribar.
Gibby: "Weird..."
Wolfman continues on.
Gibby moves on to the... sliding door.
Wolfman: "Another door? Sheesh..."
Dragoshi: "Hmmm..." *Attempts to power the panel up with a small jolt of Indignation...*
Digifanatic looks at the panel.
Metal Man (GM): It's a 'push to open' panel.
Trigger: "...I'm guessing there's a catch to pressing that."
Digifanatic tries pushing the panel.
Alexia: "Stand back."
Trigger: "I mean what's on the other side."
Wolfman stands back.
Trigger stands back.
Aribar stands back a bit.
Alexia steps away from the panel and pushes it with her TK.
Gibby does the thing with the standing back.
Trigger gets his sword ready.
Metal Man (GM): Nothing happens.
You push it a lot, though.
Trigger: "...Ok."
Alexia: "...?"
Dragoshi: "..." *Tries energizing it with ANOTHER small jolt of Indignation.*
Metal Man (GM): The door still doesn't open.
Gibby: "...Bah! Stupid doors."
Trigger: "How close are we to the bridge anyway?"
Gibby: "Hopefully very close."
Wolfman pulls out his Dex to see if he can get an answer to that.
Digifanatic looks around to see what else is there that they may be able to use.
Smash Dex: "Psheeee... Blip!"
Metal Man (GM): Hmm. Must be jammed or EMPed.
You see merely the thing to open the door with.
Trigger: "Hmm..."
Wolfman closes his dex... but wait a second...
Aribar: "Okay, so the panel doesn't work and I guess brute force won't work. Now what?"
Wolfman sees... something to open that door with?
Dragoshi: "...You'd think energizing the bloody panel would work."
Wolfman goes for a crazy idea.
"Mr. Door? Can you talk?"
Trigger: "We could try to bash this door down?"
Gibby: "...You've lost it haven't you, Wolf?"
Wolfman: "That can happen when you get sidetracked by steaks in crazy refrigerators."
Metal Man (GM): The door does nothing.
Trigger trys to bash through the door.
Dragoshi: "...Bleh" *Tries energizing the panel with a regular Indignation blast.* (26 magical lightning damage)
Metal Man (GM): The door repels the thing. However the panel itself violently explodes.
Revealing some sort of handle.
Digifanatic: "Ah."
Trigger: "Hmm..."
Wolfman: "...this sounds too easy."
Digifanatic pulls the handle.
Dragoshi: "...Huh. Didn't think THAT would happen."
Trigger: "Same here."
Metal Man (GM): It's a crank handle.
Digifanatic cranks it, then!
Wolfman stands back.
Trigger does the same.
Metal Man (GM): The door slowly rises... to show the bridge.
Trigger: "Finally."
Wolfman gets a look... jackpot.
Gibby: "Here we go!"
Metal Man (GM): It, unlike the rest of the place, appears to be functional. Blinking lights, at least.
Dragoshi: "...Finally."
Aribar unsheaths Moonlight and steps inside.
Gibby runs to the bridge.
Wolfman will walk instead.
Digifanatic heads on in.
Trigger takes out Badelaire and walks in.
Aribar: .oO(Maybe we'll finally be able to put Ivo down for good...)
Metal Man (GM): You walk inside. Ivo is clearly here. He's sitting with his back turned.
He appears to be pressing buttons.
Dragoshi: *Uses a Phoenix Down regaining a life, readies his scythe and enters* (...BRB. Goddamn interruptions)
Editor's Note: Goddamn interruptions, indeed. Gotta hate it when you're in the middle of something and something just randomly interrupts you. (Seriously.)
Wolfman: .oO(Okay, stealth approach or... not)
Aribar: "Ivo, your time is up."
Ivo Robotnik: "That is wrong."
Metal Man (GM): He continues pressing buttons.
Digifanatic hopes he can just find the reversal switch...
Trigger: "What are you doing?"
Gibby: "At least face us like a man!"
Wolfman scans the area quickly, seeing if there is something that he can use or hit or something... he doesn't like just standing around.
Ivo Robotnik: "I am the Egg Man."
Aribar: "Save Nintendus from being hit by the Moon and maybe you'll live."
Ivo Robotnik: "The moon will crash into Nintendus."
Trigger: "..."
Digifanatic walks over to Alexia.
Metal Man (GM): Wolf: There's buttons for almost everything here.
Digifanatic: *Whispers to her* "Quick. Telekinesis on the reversal command."
Aribar: "Then you don't wish to live." *The elf fires an ice dart into the back of Robotnik's chair.*
Ivo Robotnik: "Ow. That hurt. You are a bad person."
Metal Man (GM): You hit the chair and he falls onto the floor.
Alexia nods slightly and TKs the Reversal setting.
Gibby: "..."
Digifanatic: *Still quiet* "All you have to do is just hold that for a bit and it'll help..."
Gibby: "This is pathetic."
Metal Man (GM): He gets up, watches the reversal button be pressed, shrugs, and walks back into the chair.
He continues pressing buttons.
Trigger: "..."
Wolfman: "...okay, where is the panic? Are you even Ivo?"
Digifanatic: .oO(He shrugged it off!)
Gibby: "I don't understand... why is he not fighting us in a glorious battle to the death?"
Ivo Robotnik: "I will take over the world. You are fools. Egg man empire for ever."
Alexia: "...He's up to something. Or this isn't the real Ivo."
Aribar walks up to Robotnik. "You are an idiot."
Wolfman attempts to scan Ivo with the dex... hopefully.
Trigger walks up to egg man and moves the chair to where it faces the group.
Metal Man (GM): He stares at you.
Digifanatic: "I think he doesn't want to fight us..."
Ivo Robotnik: "I am not an idiot. You are an idiot. Why are you not attacking me?"
Alexia: "Why are you not attacking us?"
Gibby: "I... but... you're not... attacking..."
*He scratches his poor little head.*
Trigger: "...Cause you haven't given us probable cause to attack yet."
Wolfman: .oO(I'm just the support guy.)
Ivo Robotnik: "I can win without fighting." *He turns the chair around and presses more buttons.*
Digifanatic just decides to Celestial Fury-ize this guy seemingly from outta nowhere.
Trigger: "Grr..."
Wolfman tries to figure out which buttons he is pressing... so he can press the opposite ones.
Gibby: "Fine... you want us to attack? WE WILL!"
Metal Man (GM): He sits there as Digi misses him.
Ivo Robotnik: "You have aim of an egg."
Aribar fires an ice dart at Robotnik now. "Just die and stay dead for once!"
Gibby runs straight at robuttnick and slashes at him twice horizontally.
Digifanatic: "Yeah, whatever."
Ivo Robotnik: "Ha ha ha. I am Egg Man."
Trigger starts slicing at Robotnik.
Digifanatic: "I deal with it."
Alexia casually walks over to where she won't hit the panel, then Mindblasts him.
Metal Man (GM): You hit him repeatedly.
The robot explodes.
Wolfman does NOT join in the fighting...
Metal Man (GM): Its head flies about, laughing at you.
Alexia: "...Bingo."
Gibby: "...A fake!"
Digifanatic: "Yup..."
Aribar: "Do you REALLY think that throwing a moon into Nintendus will help you... Dah."
Ivo Robotnik: "Ha ha ha. This room is explosive."
Gibby leaps back.
Metal Man (GM): *BOOOOM.*
Digifanatic: "And the real one is waiting for us!"
Trigger: "Uh oh."
Alexia: "That---OH, *Draconic*."
Metal Man (GM): The entire room explodes.
Trigger: "GAH!!"
Gibby: "GAH!"
Aribar looks all about for another...
Wolfman: "Ivo, for once I'm glad to actually hear you la--SLAG!"
Aribar explodes.
Wolfman is about to die, isn't he?
Trigger explodes.
Alexia explodes.
Gibby goes boom.
Digifanatic: *BLAMMY.*
Metal Man (GM): All of your HPs set to 1.
Wolfman has suffered The Fallen One.
Metal Man (GM): The room is dead... and now you're in the middle of a dead-end area.
Digifanatic has all three lives left.
Alexia drinks her Ivantek Healing Vial.
Gibby twitches on the ground.
Trigger: "Ahh, help."
Digifanatic: "Yup... he set us up."
Gibby: "...Pain... hurting..."
Wolfman: "We have to continue on..."
Alexia then uses Mend twice. 30 HP to all within 2 TP.
Wolfman: "...this wasn't the real bridge, was it?"
Aribar falls to his knees, severely burned... At least before he Restores himself five times.
Metal Man (GM): You see, now, before you...
Digifanatic: "The real one's probably escaped in his pod somewhere, watching this on some camera or something..."
Metal Man (GM): ...Another pathway to the bridge. To another bridge.
Gibby slowly gets up and shovels down an ultra shroom. Ta-da! All better.
Alexia: "Anybody have a spare Mushroom?"
Trigger: "Now what?"
Metal Man (GM): The head is unscathed by the explosion. It mocks you, flying around in the now toasted rafters.
Alexia: "This move doesn't work on myself."
Ivo Robotnik: "I am Egg Man. You are dead Quest ers."
Digifanatic: "Only two..."
Ivo Robotnik: "Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha."
Wolfman: "...we follow that bridge."
Aribar: "That does it. He will die!" *The elf tosses Alexia an Ivantek healing vial and starts towards the pathway to the other bridge.*
Digifanatic follows Ari.
Gibby: "We're finishing this once and for all!"
Alexia catches it.
Gibby charges to the other bridge.
Wolfman walks... he could fly, but this isn't the time.
Alexia: "Thanks." *Uses it, then flies to the other bridge.*
Trigger follows the others.
Metal Man (GM): You walk into a different bridge.
This one... you see no Ivo.
Rather you just see controls everywhere.
It is dark, though.
Digifanatic: "I bet he has escape..."
Trigger: "Maybe we could stop the moon from in here."
Gibby: "Maybe... depends on what these controls do."
Wolfman: "I'm with Gibby on this. Let's scout."
Digifanatic: "Okay, anyone besides me that can create a source of light?"
Aribar looks all around the room, wondering if THIS room is trapped... Or has other doors.
Trigger walks over to a control panel.
Gibby heads over to a random group of controls.
Wolfman walks carefully, trying to figure out which buttons can stop this monstrosity... or at least turn on the lights.
Metal Man (GM): It appears to be made out of chocolate.
Trigger: "Hmm, what do you do."
Metal Man (GM): The finest creation you have ever seen.
Aribar: "I don't think I have any magic that produces a consistent light."
Metal Man (GM): The entire room is sculpted out of precision-made candy.
Dragoshi: "...Well, I could. It'd be a ball made out of electricity though"
Gibby: "...Chocolate?"
Alexia raises an eyebrow.
Trigger: "What the hell..."

Metal Man (GM): Okay, so instead you notice Gibby eating the panels without being poisoned.
However he breathes poisonous fumes.

Alexia tries Mindblasting the far wall.
Metal Man (GM): It falls over and reveals another control room.

Metal Man (GM): This one is made out of cardboard.

Digifanatic looks to see if there's another room behind a wall, but all this shaking has him staring around wondering what's really going on.
The Ninja: "I helped him replace fuse in a panel to make the orb thing work again."
Digifanatic hops on Dragoshi if he allows it.
Trigger is flowing on the ground trying to get back up.
Gibby gets up and shakes off the... shaking.
Metal Man (GM): The PA comes on, as suddenly his voice echoes through the now fixed PA system.
Alexia: "...We have to find the real control room fast!"

The Ninja just runs off towards where he last saw Robotnik.

You hear stuff exploding behind you, as he warned.

The Ninja then hops over next to Ivo. "I trust him. And I'll do what it takes to stop the moon."
Ivo Robotnik: "Hmmm... if I have your help... I have a far better idea."
Trigger: "...Like what?"
Dragoshi: "...Well, I could try and energi-...Go on, Robotnik..."
Gibby: "We're listening..."
Wolfman REALLY wonders whose side that Ninja is on.
Ivo Robotnik: "Gunicard has the power I need AND the equipment to make up for my ailing systems."
The Ninja: "Questers. We must stop fighting this round and trust for once. Trust a ninja if not robotnik."
Ivo Robotnik: "If we work together we can fix the moon."
Wolfman: "Sorry: I don't trust Ninjas that well either."
Gibby nods.
The Ninja: "Aribar. You trust ninja, right?"
Gibby: "I'll help. Nintendus is our first priority over other rivalries..."

Ivo Robotnik: "Then it will be used..." *Takes the manual and pockets it* "Call Ivan with it."
Wolfman: "Ari: I'd rather you have my dex... and you know what's going on. Wish to make this call?"

*He walks over to Wolf to take the dex.*

The Ninja: "Mr. Robotnik. You kept your honor, but I'm going to stand close to you and make sure you don't try anything funny. You gave your honor, but you have bad things that proceed you. I'm sure you understand."
Alexia leans over Ari's shoulder to see the call.
Aribar takes Wolf's Dex and tries to call up Ivan Robotnik...
Metal Man (GM): You call up Ivan.
Wolfman also overlooks this call.
Dragoshi: *Currently collecting batteries from the robots in the room.*
Ivan Robotnik: "...What is it? Have you done something to help with the situation?"

Gibby eventually gives in and goes to help Drag collect the batteries.
Wolfman waits for Ari to finish speaking.
Aribar: "We need to make this quick. The Moon is going to crash into Nintendus if you don't allow Ivo temporary control of Gunicard. Sounds crazy, but right now it's either a big crater in Nintendus or trusting Ivo."
Trigger stands back and watches.
Ivo Robotnik: "I agree to stop the moon because it was a part of an altogether different strategy..."
Digifanatic: "Ari... you're right."

Metal Man (GM): He runs and then leaps onto the floor.
Wolfman: "To that, I say... good freakin' luck."
Trigger: "Heh, yeah."
Metal Man (GM): Strange magic creates something out of thin air.
A 30 foot mecha raises from the ground, the head clicking shut. It is a monstrosity.
Dragoshi: "..."
Metal Man (GM): It has two machineguns on each shoulder....
Trigger: "My... god."
Metal Man (GM): Fully functional hands...
Alexia: "...Holy... It's worse than the MTAs!"
Aribar: .oO(Piffle.)
Dragoshi: "...Errr... A little help here?"
Metal Man (GM): Massive boots... a massive missile launcher on its back...
Gibby: "Why do these things always happen to us?"
Wolfman: .oO(I wonder how Sonic would have reacted upon seeing this...)
Metal Man (GM): Dual cup holders... and two jutting spikes on each wrist.
Alexia: "Because we're Questers?"
Dragoshi: "Not a bloody idea, Gibby."
Wolfman: "...okay, why does this creature seem familiar?"
Metal Man (GM): The chest also looks formidable.
Gibby: "Oh yeah..."
Aribar: "Stay strong, everyone! We can do this."
The Ninja: "...Hey, Mr. Robotnik. Any suggestions for this fight?"
Eggman (The Fury): "Behold! The Phantom Lord's Customized Master Egg! The strongest weapon in the multiverse!"
Trigger: "Hey Alexia, can you heal me?"
Ivo Robotnik: "Attack the chest when it opens up to fire a deadly laser. The head is also vulnerable. It is blind without it.
However it is faster and stronger than mine... being an astral construct."
Alexia uses a pre-battle Mend to heal Trigger for 15
Gibby: "Right! Thanks, Ivo."
Wolfman: "Thoughtful..."
Dragoshi: "...Thanks for the help Ivo..."
Trigger: "Thanks."
The Ninja: "Then we divide attacks. I'll aim for the head."
Ivo Robotnik: "I will attempt to disable it as the battle goes on."
Dragoshi: "...Wait. If it's of an astral construct does that mean magic'll be effective? ...I'll go for the head as well."
Wolfman: "Does someone have to go for the body?"
Trigger: "Thanks for the heal Alexia."
Alexia: "No prob."
Aribar: "I suppose a Bolt will let us find out, Dragoshi."
Alexia: "I'll aim at the chest."
Digifanatic: "I'll alternate."
Trigger: "I'll go for the head."
Wolfman: "I'll be wherever I'm needed."
Alexia: "I hope Chaos Control doesn't let me down..."
Digifanatic: "One turn for me at the head, one turn for me at the chest... So on and so forth."
Gibby: "I'll stick with Chest... I don't think I can reach the head."
Digifanatic: "Right... well, I can still jump as usual and I have a couple of longer range moves."
Metal Man (GM): NOW AGIs.
Dragoshi: "...Well, I'll hit at EVERY opportunity"
Metal Man (GM): Order: Ninja, Aribar, Digi, Dragoshi, Gibby, Alexia, Trigger, Wolfman, FINAL EGG
The Ninja swings his Sword-staff around and hurls it at The Fury.
Eggman (The Fury): "I'll grind you into dust... you... all of you! I am superior to the Eggman which The Void made... he was nothing! You will all be destroyed once and for all!"
Metal Man (GM): Which part of the body of the machine do you throw it at?
You can't seem to target The Fury directly yet.
Aribar: "The Void... Ivo, try to contact Metal! If he can get the Void up here we'll be in a lot better shape!"
Ivo Robotnik: "I'll try... but it's a long way up here."
Metal Man (GM): You hit it, dealing solid damage. Though it looks like it can take quite a beating.
Dragoshi: "...Thank you, Ivo."
The Ninja: "Maybe I will go instead. I'm much faster. Mr. Robotnik needs to help with battle."
*He catches his weapons and awaits his next turn.*
Eggman (The Fury): "All will die to the might of the TRUE Eggman Empire!"
Aribar mutters an arcane phrase and thrusts Moonlight towards the mecha. Intense flames pour over the top of the mecha and sap a bit of its integrity. (Lava Blast which is a 20 ft. Circle for 37 Magical Fire damage and Burned, halved DR, for three rounds. I'll await a visual result of my attack before finishing up my turn.)
Alexia: "Oh, SHUT UP."
Eggman (The Fury): "Never!"
Metal Man (GM): You hit the head, however its shiny finish protects it from burning.
It takes some more damage.
Dragoshi: "Oh, SHUT THE *Draconic* UP! You're even worse than that ridiculous blowhard Ramsey!"
Eggman (The Fury): "You are nothing compared to my almighty plans!"
Aribar: "Okay, magic affects it!" *The elf fires off two blasts of earth energy at the head!* (Earth Blast Barrage which does 13 Magical Earth damage per hit.)
Dragoshi: "Almighty?" *Lets a mocking laugh and a sarcastic finger wag* "Oh, YOU WISH!"
Digifanatic decides to jump right for the head... Jump Check for closer range!
Metal Man (GM): Hit, hit... good jump check.
Aribar's Earth Blast Barrage pings off of the head.
Digifanatic realizes this is taking a bit more time to leap up than he hoped... oh well. Two Light Rays should take care of business.
Metal Man (GM): Two hits.
Digifanatic falls back down where everyone else is.
Dragoshi: "...Hmph." *Flies up to the Final Egg's head, and attempts to strike the head with his scythe, in hopes of making it blinder than a white bat in a realm of neverending light!*
Metal Man (GM): MISSSSS
Dragoshi: "...Hmph. Must've overswung."
Gibby would start off cautiously. He makes a big leap towards the chest area and slashes at it twice horizontally before leaping back to the others.
Metal Man (GM): Hit, hit.
Even with armor piercing, your blow seems to bounce off of it.
Digifanatic: "Wait for the laser! It's just gonna be like that arm we had to deal with."
Dragoshi: "Yep."
Wolfman: "You guys sure about that?"
Gibby: "Oh yeah... good call, Digi!"
Dragoshi: "Yes, we're sure"
Digifanatic: "Gibby can't dent him if it's closed... and Ivo even mentioned it."
Gibby: "Well... I was hoping it'd pierce a -little-..."
Dragoshi: "Yea, I'd bet even with my laser scythe it wouldn't pierce."
The Ninja: "Mr. Robotnik said so as well. He's better at technology than I am, so I'm going with what he said."
Digifanatic: "And if Gibby can't, well, don't mean to offend, but if you don't wait, it's gonna be a while."
Alexia bides her time, waiting for the chest laser. EoT.
Wolfman and Trigger start our Team Up move DUN DUN DUN! (description coming)
*Desc* *Trigger jumps and starts his Hurricane Slash as I prepare a Rocket Tackle. I aim myself so that I propel Trigger towards the head with lots of spinning inertia. ROCKET HURRICANE!*
Metal Man (GM): Hit... hit.
*100 damage.*
Alexia: "Nice teamwork, guys!"
Dragoshi: "Good job."
Trigger: "Thanks."
Digifanatic: "Yeah. Looking good."
Wolfman: "Aye."

Metal Man (GM): FINAL EGG
Eggman (The Fury): "With but a fragment of full power... you shall all die!"
Metal Man (GM): He powers up the machineguns... which strafe all of you at once.
Alexia jumps the bullets.
Gibby dodges to and fro.
Metal Man (GM): They strafe wildly, spraying bullets everywhere.
Wolfman is actually HIT by that...
Trigger gets shot up.
Alexia: "Hah! Not fast enough!"
Digifanatic: *Dodgity dodge.*
Aribar easily dances away from the spray of bullets.
Metal Man (GM): If they did he, they'd do 50 damage Machinegun 2x Armor piercing.
Gibby: "Gonna have to do better than that, buddy!"
Dragoshi: *Dodges gracefully, sarcastically wagging his finger* "You suck!"
Wolfman: *BOOM Boom boom boom boom...*
Trigger falls over dead.
The Ninja well... No Matrix jokes, but he dodges them... Like a ninja.
Ivo Robotnik: "Not fast enough? That thing gets fast in a hurry. Watch out."
Eggman (The Fury): "You're stealing my lines, old, miserable man. I am the only Eggman!"
*Mecha marches towards Alexia, trying to stomp on her.*
Dragoshi: "...Shut it."
Metal Man (GM): 200 damage and stun if hit.
Alexia's eyes glow gold... CHAOS DODGE!
She slides out of the way impossibly fast.
Eggman (The Fury): "Fool!"
Ivo Robotnik attempts it again.
Eggman attempts ti again... stupid confusion.
Aribar: "Where did you learn Chaos Control?!"
Dragoshi: "...Chaos Control...? How?"
Alexia backflips to dodge, again using Chaos Control.
The Ninja: "...What is this... Chaos Control?"
Alexia: "Back in the computer room."
Eggman (The Fury): "Not even Sonic can dodge this!"
Dragoshi: "..."
Gibby: "Well... good!"
Aribar: "You use Chaos to enhance your speed and reflexes with Chaos Control. I'll explain more when we aren't being killed.:"
The Ninja: "Good idea."
Alexia: "Unfortunately, that drained nearly all of my Chaos energy..."
Metal Man (GM): He powers up and fires a bunch of missiles at Alexia.
Dragoshi: *Laughs, then points at Eggman* "...Oh, you have GOT TO BE bull" *****ting me!*
Metal Man (GM): 30 armor piercing damage per hit.
Alexia slightly drained from using CC, gets hit by all 5 missiles
"Nnnngh..."
Eggman (The Fury): "The next time I shall rip you into shreds, you little ninny! Arghhhh!!!!"
Digifanatic: .oO(Not on Ari's watch! I mean...)
The Ninja: "One must use its head in times like this." *After a bad pun, then Ninja swings his arm around and throws the staff at The Fury's head again.*
Dragoshi: .oO(...Idiot.)
Alexia holds her chest, breathing heavily.
Metal Man (GM): *SMACK.*
Dragoshi: "...Oh, you did NOT just say that! You did NOT just say that!"
Gibby: "But he did... I heard it."
Trigger: "Ah, I hate puns."
Dragoshi: "...Don't take things that I say too literally gaw dammet!"
Alexia: *Gasp* "Less talking, more fighting..."
Eggman (The Fury): "Talk! Talk to one another!"
Trigger: "...You look pretty ****ed up Alexia."
Alexia: "Oh, really? I just got hit by five freaking missiles!"
Aribar yells, "Catch, Alexia!" before tossing an Ivantek Healing Vial at Alexia. The elf then conjures up vorpal blades of air and sends them towards the head of that mecha! (Whirl for 28 Magical Wind damage.)
Alexia leans over quickly and catches the vial
"Thanks!"
Digifanatic: .oO(I need to get a CRAPLOAD of healing items...)
*He saves up all his TP for that chest to come open that hatch up!*
The Ninja: "Light humor is good to keep one's head focused in battle."

Trigger: "..."
Digifanatic: "Occasionally..."

Dragoshi: "..." *Does nothing for this round. Next caller, please.*
Gibby conserves his TP for when the chest opens up next time thus ending his turn.
Alexia Quick Uses the vial, then drops into a defensive stance. EoT.
Digifanatic: *He's dead.*
Wolfman: *He's revived. He is brought back into the scene, MMX style.*
Metal Man (GM): FINAL EGG
Trigger is brought back MMZ style.
Eggman (The Fury): "I'll just take you out."
Metal Man (GM): He fires two more sprays of machinegun fire.
Digifanatic is hit by that first one...
Gibby is also hit by the first.
Metal Man (GM): 50 damage, machinegun 2x, threatens all, armor piercing. (It pierces half of your DR)
Alexia gets hit by one, but her reeling makes her dodge the other. Irony abounds.
Trigger hits hit by everything.
Digifanatic is killed by that first one, effectively rendering him useless for this one...
Dragoshi: *Is hit for 138 damage, and gracefully dodges the second one.*
Wolfman feels the effects 3 times... ouch.
Aribar activates his Chaos Control to try and dodge the barrage of bullets, but he's still hit by a few. "Gah!"
Alexia gets shot in the chest and crumples over. KO.
Digifanatic: *OKAY--now that he's dead, AGI is reduced back to 25*
The Ninja can't seem to dodge the first wave, he takes a few hits but stands and dodges the next wave. he's still standing as he launches his sword-staff again at the Fury's head.
Metal Man (GM): Hit.
Aribar downs a Mushroom and bides his time. (Turn ova.)
Digifanatic: *Revived.*
Dragoshi: "...Heh" *Drinks an Ivantek vial, flies up to the head if he still isn't on there, and attacks it as many times as he can.*
Metal Man (GM): Hit.
The area shakes. It appears that, despite your valiant efforts, the Final Egg is going to take longer than there is life left in this ship.
Dragoshi: "..." *Conserves his last TP. EoT.*
Wolfman: "...this isn't good."
Trigger: "Hmm..."
Ivo Robotnik: "There appears to be a problem... he has cleverly attacked us in such a way that if we fight there will not be enough time to save ourselves."
Gibby: "Then what do we do?"
The Ninja: "Ah! Mr. Robotnik! How much time do we have?"
Aribar: "Does this thing have escape pods?"
Dragoshi: "Dammit. Isn't there anything else we can do to ensure we get out alive?"
Ivo Robotnik: "An order of minutes. But with my help, we can stop him!"
Dragoshi: "That's good to know."
Eggman (The Fury): "How dare you. You were so close to fulfilling my plans..."
The Ninja: "I'm all ears."
Dragoshi: "As am I..."
Wolfman: "Spill it."
Gibby chugs an ivantek vial and gets into defense mode thus ending his turn.
Ivo Robotnik: "The gravity device... can be used to crush him into a tiny little ball! ...At the expense of myself having to stay here, though. I must ensure The Fury is contained... even if I must stay here!"
Trigger: "Are you willing to take that risk?"
Wolfman: "...then that's your decision."
Aribar: "..."
The Ninja: "I will honor your memory, Mr. Robotnik."
Dragoshi: "...If you must, then godspeed, Ivo."
Metal Man (GM): Alexia, Trigger, Wolfman
Ivo Robotnik: "I have limited time left. You must run... to the gravity core!"
Wolfman: "...guys, do we run now?"
Trigger: "I think we should."
Dragoshi: "...Well, we ALL can't do that. So one of us has to run, while the others distract this, this... Perversion of existence!"
Gibby: "If it's part of the plan, we -should- run!"
Digifanatic: "Yeah..."
Wolfman: "Then we'll distract. Come on Trigger!"
Aribar: "...Yes. Thank you, Robotnik."
Ivo Robotnik: "If you do not run, it will surely gun you down."
Trigger: "Ok."
Ivo Robotnik: "You have barely scratched it."
The Ninja retreats to the Gravity Core. He has no need for goodbyes.
Gibby: "Wolf, lets go. We can't do much more on our own. It's Ivo's turn now."
Dragoshi: "...I'll go there." *Follows Ninja.*
Wolfman: "...fine. Trigger, hop on. We're retreating."
Trigger: "...Ok."
Gibby follows Ninja to the gravity core.
Trigger gets on Wolf.
Digifanatic starts to run!
Dragoshi flies at highest speed.
Aribar charges backwards after the others!
Wolfman flies and follows while Trigger gets to be lazy.
Metal Man (GM): You all run... leaving Ivo to face the person who smeared him after The Void himself was defeated.
Trigger: "...I'm not lazy, I just can't run real fast."
Ivo Robotnik: "Hm... here I am... with my ultimate weapon... and my plans unfulfilled... facing a demon."
Metal Man (GM): *CINEMA.*
Eggman (The Fury): "You are a fool, Ivo. You had the chance to destroy them repeatedly! ...Why did you betray your directive?"
Ivo Robotnik: "When I saw them mindlessly bashing my electronics, sure, I believed they were worth destroying. But... there was one... which made me realize that you are the worse end of the deal... you symbolize that bashing. Not them. Full power!"
Eggman (The Fury): "Gahhh!!!" *CRUSH.*
Metal Man (GM): Meanwhile... the Questers escape the Gravity Egg via Ivo's personal escape craft.
Remodeled and ready to fight, ironically it wound up being used as an escape ship for the Questers themselves.
Aribar: "I guess in the end Ivo wasn't... All that bad..."
Trigger: "Do you think Ivo killed it?"
Aribar: "Let us hope he did..."
Gibby: "Is it just me, or is it getting harder and harder to tell the good guys from the bad these days?"
Metal Man (GM): The Questers would see the Gravity Egg suddenly detach from the remains of Gunicard and combust.
Trigger: "Hmm..."
Dragoshi: "...Prolly' not... I hope at MOST it damaged it horribly."
Gibby: "And there it goes..."
Metal Man (GM): You receive a transmission from Ivo.
The Ninja: "Hmm."
Dragoshi: "...?"
Trigger: "He's still alive?!"
Aribar: "Aye... Eh?" *The elf looks over to the voice of Ivo.*
Metal Man (GM): It's a recorded message.
Ivo Robotnik: "While it is unsure of my status, as of now, I have isolated The Fury using my most powerful invention."
Digifanatic flips his Dex open.
Wolfman listens in... staying quiet.
Trigger: "..."
*He does the same.*
Dragoshi does the same as Wolf.
Ivo Robotnik: "My dream of stopping the Phantom Lords has come one step closer to completion. For before I can have an empire... they must be destroyed! All I ask... is that you research a means of permanently defeating one before he escapes."
Metal Man (GM): It fades out... you hear a WARP! somewhere in the message.
Gibby: "...Research?"
Dragoshi: "...Research, huh?"
Trigger: "Hmm..."
Aribar: "Did you guys here something odd during that message?"
The Ninja: "Research? Ah! More complex work! I better find a manual to this."
Dragoshi: *Nods.*
Metal Man (GM): The ship flies in for a landing near Quester HQ, the threat neutralized... for now.
Trigger: "I think I did."
Digifanatic: "Well, we got it done."
Dragoshi: "I KNOW I did."
Metal Man (GM): SECRET MISSION ACCOMPLISHED
Gibby: "I suppose we did..."
Metal Man (GM): Part 1: 3000 EXP
Part 2: 1000 EXP
Final Egg Battle: 1000 EXP
50,000 coins to all Questers
Trigger: "I'm just glad we lived though this ordeal."
Digifanatic has only the ending 1000 to be gained...
Dragoshi glows, leveling up.
Digifanatic: *Already took care of the first two.*
Metal Man (GM): Phantom Lord Neutralized. Malevolent Scientist Converted to Quester Side. All major Enemies Defeated.
Aribar goes to exit the ship.
Gibby: "We... have done good."
Trigger has leveled up.
Metal Man (GM): It lands at Quester HQ, the sky normal again.
Wolfman gets out and stretches a little.
Gibby: "I believe this calls for... a CELEBRATION!"
