Super Smash Quest - Story - Chapter 320: Capital Chaos

Date: February 11th & 12th, 2007.
Garrick is currently tooling around with that P-90 that Solidus gave him... he doesn't know exactly how good this gun is, so it probably is going to take a 10,000 coin repair to do.
Douglas: *Looks outside his bedroom window.*
Metal Man (GM): It's one of the better weapons Garrick has seen.
Garrick: *cause, surely it isn't an 100,000 coin repair...*
Metal Man (GM): Of course, it's deadliest in his hands, but it adds oomph to whatever attacks it works with.
Garrick also sets out his M-150 and Burning Chill. If he's gonna do weapon work, he might as well work on all of them. The agenda for today: First, Repair the P-90. Second, add some more power to the shells in the M-150. Third, sharpen the blade of the Burning Chill to give it some more zing too.
Douglas leaves his room, bored with the barren look outside his window, and goes to check the mission board.
Garrick guesses that the first will cost 10,000 coins, the second will probably cost another 20,000, and the third will cost another 20,000. 50,000 coins in all.
Traon lounges around, mainly just sitting on a couch. But then an idea comes into play. "It's been awhile since I got a chance to clean the blade on my naginata... May as well do it now while there some down time." He digs through his pockets until he finds what he was looking for. "My lucky cloth... Not really."
Metal Man (GM): The P-90 is easy to fix, so Garrick didn't need a lot for that. However he still doesn't quite understand how the explosive ammunition works. Next up, Garrick attempts to upgrade the M-150. Instead he wastes the coins. Finally, Burning Chill is sharpened so that it now deals more damage.
Traon looks at the blade as he cleans and makes a light chuckle. "I can't seem to get the blood off the blade." Slight pause... "Oh wait, it's all part of the design, it won't come off." He laughs at his own litle joke.
Garrick sighs a bit, but now he has a new weapon, which is always good. He does a quick fix to his chest harness to incorporate the P-90 into it, along with the long strips of ammo hanging off the back of his belt.
Douglas: "SIMBER, if Klumsy had any books or scriptures explaining his knowledge on things, where would they be?"
SIMBER: "...I am unsure."
Douglas: "Alright then." *Looks up at the board.*
Metal Man (GM): Douglas sees here the following: 'Find Ruin Miasma', 'Eggman Part #2', and 'Mysterious Glowing Ruins.'
Douglas: "Huh... What are the details on the glowing ruins?" *He pokes it to find out.*
Metal Man (GM): It shows a bunch of strange, orange-glowing foundations.
Douglas: "Oh dear..."
SIMBER: "Investigate these ruins and discover exactly what is going on."
Douglas: "SIMBER, you still have Frozen Hatred, right?"
SIMBER: "Affirmative."
Douglas: "Alright, good good." *He turns his head... not seeing anyone else here... He votes for the Mysterious Glowing Ruins nonetheless.*
Garrick: *sighs and walks into the mission room.*
SIMBER: *Comms to all Questers.* "You may select a mission now."
Traon again reaches into his pocket and pulls out his cell phone and goes to his contacts list. "Alrighty... Let's see if I can make a connection."
Leo: *Walks into the mission room as well.*
Garrick: "Alright, what have we got?...SIMBER, what's that first one? Find Ruin Miasma???"
Traon walks into the missions room while he waits to get connected.
SIMBER: "An ancient purple energy needed for unknown purposes. Some of it has been reported outside a massive factory."
Garrick: "Needed? By whom?"
SIMBER: "Unknown. It is marked as 'URGENT' for some reason."
Garrick: "...so, someone just asked us to get it?"
SIMBER: "Apparently."
Douglas: "Isn't Miasma poison?... What good purpose would anyone have for poison?"
Garrick: *glances to mission two and three...*
SIMBER: "Whoever it is is willing to pay a good deal for it, the amount needed for Questers to get it."
Garrick: "But it could be rather... bad."
SIMBER: "It isn't a poison in specific. It is definitely in a container."
Douglas nods.
Garrick: *glances to Douglas, shakes his head and sighs, then puts down for mission 1.*
Douglas: "What?"
Traon grunts as the cell phone hasn't made a connection yet. But anyways, he votes for mission 3.
Leo votes for mission 2.
Garrick: *sighs deeply. This spells trouble...*
Traon closes the cell phone and puts it away. "I'll just try again later... Maybe the shop will call back later."
Douglas: "Why do you keep sighing???" *He just looks at Garrick perplexed.*
Leo: "Is he gonna commit suicide?"
Traon: "Because any mission means someone is going to get hurt."
Garrick: "Because orange these days usually equals X-Zone."
Leo: "Ohh."
Garrick: "No, I'm not going to commit suicide..."
Douglas: "Then don't go, if you're afraid."
Leo: "You seem like you are THAT depressed though."
Garrick: *slowly turns to look at Douglas.* "I'm not going to give in to your little taunts. No matter how much you want me to get pissed off."
Douglas: "What are you talking about?... "
Garrick: "If you wanna say something and have someone kick your ass, go taunt Julian. He'd be happy to shove his boot up your ass."
Traon looks at Garrick and lightly shakes his head. "Calm down Garrick, save your anger for pummeling the evil people."
Douglas: "Even if I was taunting you, I think you are overreacting now, Garrick."
Leo: "..." *backs away from Garrick.*
Garrick: *stands up, strapping on his sword.* "I don't fight with anger. Not anymore. Julian is the one who fights with anger." *gives the M-150 a look over, checking the sight, slapping in a clip, then repeating the process with the P-90. After all this is done, he looks to the hologram of SIMBER.* "Mission three, then?"
Traon nods, "Well, at least you seem to be controlling yourself, that's one reason why I respect you."
Leo: "I guess."
Garrick: *looks to Traon.* "...by the way, guy, be careful with that weapon of yours. It's a bit... long. Don't go hitting us on accident."
Traon again nods "Don't worry, I have a clean control over it. But accidents do tend to happen, let's just hope they don't."
Douglas: "By the by... in case you all forgot. In case of X-zone emergency, you should leave your unique weapons here."
Garrick: "...if you need that sharpened or spelled, just come by my lab. For a nominal fee, I can set you up."
Leo: "Hmmm, spelled you say?"
Douglas is ... *DENIED.*
Garrick: "That's what Magitek is for."
Traon: "Will do, after this mission is completed I'll do just that. And hopefully then I'll have something to pay you for your efforts."
Leo: "Hmmm, I may take you up on that offer Garrick."
Garrick: "Depending on what you want, it'll cost ya."
Douglas feels he was ignored... "As I was saying... it's best if everyone follows that being's rules for this X-zone..."
Garrick: *glances to Douglas.* "Unique weapons? I have no unique weapons."
Douglas: "Mmmmk then..."
Leo: "I have none either."
Douglas: "Alright... and Frozen Hatred is being stashed away at the moment... and One-Winged Angel is in some light dimension, I think. So we should be fine..."
Traon: "I can always make another if mine is lost, so mine's not unique to me."
Traon gets an idea for his naginata. "Hey Garrick, do you think you could implement a second blade on this weapon of mine?" He points to the blunt end of his blade up towards the middle and traces out a blade that extends about four inches past the blade. "Kind of like that?"
Douglas feels depressed... his weapon is one that can't be physically upgraded.
Garrick: "Oh, definitely. Adding just another edge wouldn't be hard at all. Now, I can do something else... like... make it able to be thrown and return to your hand or something."
Traon: "Now that... Would be very interesting."
SIMBER: "Mission ready. Please step into the portal."
Metal Man (GM): The portal opens, revealing a vaguely orange tinted warp.
Garrick: "I can do all sorts of stuff. If you got an idea, just run it by me. I'll do what I can. For a nominal fee, of course."
Douglas walks through the portal.
Leo: "Ok."
Garrick: *double checks his gear one last time before moving into the warp.*
Traon: "Show time... I'm ready." He approaches the portal and looks back at everyone. "I'm all for going first." And so he goes in.
Leo: *walks into the warp.*
Bonecrusher readies himself, then warps.
Metal Man (GM): The Questers reach the area at last. There's a bunch of ruined stone foundations around here. They glow orange on the edges. A single sign hands at an angle at the entry area of the town. 'Welcome to Cerrinia' Well. Not quite so much a welcome now. There's almost nothing left of the town, besides a blackened and burnt out shell of a house on the other side of it.
Garrick: *hrms, pressing the device on the side of his head and getting a scan of the area.*
Traon: "Oh boy... Reminds me of... Ya know, it doesn't remind me of anything actually."
Douglas proceeds to walk over to this ruined house at the other end of the ruined town...
Leo: "Is every place like this on the planet? Ruined and destroyed?"
Garrick: "Well, it got trashed by war." *follows after Douglas, hrming as he walks.*
Douglas: "Possibly, Leo, whether it's by robot or X-zone energy."
Leo: "Hmmm..."
Traon just follows behind everyone, keeping and eye out around them.
Metal Man (GM): Garrick scans the area. He sees spectral outlines of houses.
Bonecrusher looks for something to beat the crap out of.
Metal Man (GM): Reaching the ruined house, the Questers see that a single person remains.
???: "Wait... there are people out here?"
Metal Man (GM): He stands up... he's a Genetia soldier.
Garrick: "...whoa..."
Soldier: "I thought everyone was dead."
Douglas: "We're sent to... investigate..."
Leo: "Damn... same here."
Garrick: *races up to the soldier, skimming past Douglas.* "Are you alright?"
Douglas: "What are you still doing here?"
Metal Man: "No. I haven't had food for days and my water supply just ran out."
Metal Man (GM): He points out to the edge of the town.
Soldier: "There's a curse on this town. Anyone who tries to flee is sent to a dark world... and dies. The same curse at the houses of those people, once they did die. A machine was the source of it."
Leo: "...Damn."
Soldier: "...He came to destroy the people here because they knew some sort of magic. But... if you are here, then there is something more important than me... or this town. The capital of Genetia. ...Once you are gone from here, you must go there. Whatever has happened... it's the most likely place to have survived."
Garrick: "Don't worry, guy. We'll get you out of here. I'd rather not warp you out NOW... but come with us. Once we figure this out, we'll get you back to our ship."
Soldier: "There were thousands of soldiers just like me... Tanks... guns... airships!"
Leo: "That was all wiped out?"
Douglas scratches his chin. "Airships? Like... boats with propellers in the sky?"
Soldier: "No... I hope not. Of sorts... flying planes which float in the air."
Douglas: "Ah..."
Traon: "Did these airships happen to just descend out of the heavens?"
Metal Man (GM): John is warped in.
Leo: "...How does that work, does it have wings?"
Soldier: "...No, they're machines we made."
Leo: "...Odd."
Garrick: "Guys, how the ships work doesn't MATTER right now..."
Leo: "Sorry."
Garrick: "Let's just find out about this curse and get outta here..."
Douglas: "So do you know how we can help you?"
Soldier: "Go to the capital city."
Douglas: "I mean... what would we find in the capital of use?"
Traon: "Well if they are ships you made, then I guess it was a civil war of some sorts..."
Soldier: "Provisions! Parts. Weapons. Armor. Allies. Civilization. I can't imagine you able to survive out here a... lone... Are you some kind of supersoldiers or something?"
Leo: "You could say that."
Garrick: "Heh. I wish..."
Soldier: "I haven't seen guns like those since I read the ancient books."
Metal Man (GM): He points at Garrick.
John: "No, those Supersoldiers were a pain in the butt."
Traon looks at Garrick. "Look Garrick, you're famous."
Leo: "Heh."
Garrick: "I have a big gun. So what?"
Soldier: "Hm? I never met any unit named to be Supersoldiers..."
Metal Man (GM): He points at Garrick.
Soldier: "Every other mercenary unit which has come here has died."
Garrick: "...we're not... ordinary."
Soldier: "Anyone alone without a city has died. Even cities have died. You marching in here must mean you're something special."
Garrick: "Being attacked by what? Smithy's forces?"
Traon: "I am curious... What did the people look like that attacked this place?"
Soldier: "Everything... Smithy's forces are only one portion. Machines. Freaks from those portals. We've seen some other people, too."
Metal Man (GM): He takes out a picture...
John: "...?"
Metal Man (GM): ...A nearby town burnt to the ground by what look like Supersoldiers... MM2 supersoldiers. Those jerks copied the IIF!
Garrick: "...son of a bitch."
Soldiers: "They're even worse. They seem to be special like you."
John: "...Gah."
Soldiers: "The freaks usually kill the machines. These ones marched into the portals and had a war with 'em!"
John: "We know who they are..."
Garrick: "All too well."
Soldiers: "You better best watch out for them. Only the deadliest freaks or machines can fight them."
Leo: "Will do."
John: "Once we've had our way, we'll be rid of them entirely."
Soldier: "My gun is no match for theirs."
Bonecrusher: "What freak mean?"
Garrick: *gives a look around the area, looking for a source of this spell and if it is possible to warp out.
Metal Man (GM): He points at an orange line just a bit away.
Garrick: "Oddity. Strange."
Soldier: "They come from there... they are distorted versions of whatever has entered. They are... inhumanly powerful. Machines fear them."
Leo: "...Sounds like fun."
Garrick: "Hold that thought..." *beep.* "Nova, come in."
Nova: (Comms) "Yes?"
Garrick: "We've found a... survivor. He says that there is a large city somewhere nearby that would be the capital of the planet. Can you do a scan to see if you can locate it? Multiple life-signs... weapon emissions... anything."
Soldier: "I peeked into that cursed portal the machine made once... it looked to be ancient."
Douglas: "...Can you give more detail?"
Nova: (Comms) "...There is, indeed, a city nearby. It is emitting large amounts of signals. Mostly distress signals."
Soldier: "Tall buildings considered impossible today... Massive streets filled with metallic vehicles..."
Douglas: "That must be New York..."
Traon: "Sounds like Earth to me... But I could be wrong."
John: "Or Eisnaught."
Soldier: "I saw a sign there... you're only half correct, if it's correct. It's New New York."
John: "...Interesting."
Garrick: "Alright... Nova, get a lock on this soldier. Warp him back to the ship and give him food and drink."
Soldier: "Apparently a city from beyond the time of the original."
Douglas: "New New York?..."
Leo: "Hmmm, sounds interesting."
Traon: "I need to get back to Earth and try and handle the problem there. I will not tolerate my home planet being the source of problems."
Soldier: "Sending me to somewhere safe? Thank you... I shall ensure to mention you when we go to the capital."
Metal Man (GM): *WARP* He vanishes. The Questers may now wander to the portal.
Garrick: "Just don't TOUCH anything."
Leo: "Okay."
Douglas: "Traon, this isn't going to be Earth."
Traon: "So... We are going into that portal?" He motions over to the orange lining.
Douglas: "...You'll see, I suppose."
Garrick: "Yeah, we got nowhere else to go."
Traon: "I can only hope your right." he said sadly.
Garrick: *leans over and picks up a bit of dirt, rubbing it between his palms.* "As much as I hate the X-Zone... we've gotta push forward."
Douglas's gone. *Quickly walking to the orange.*
John: "Onward, then." He wanders into the portal.
Leo: *walks into the orange portal as well.*
Bonecrusher follows.
Traon: "When we are finished here, you'll have to explain what the X-Zone is to me." He looks at Douglas and shakes his head, and then follows.
Garrick: *growls at Douglas, drawing his weaponry and moving into the portal.*
Metal Man (GM): Welcome to the X-Zone. The sky is a vague orange, as the Questers stand in the streets of New New York City. There's skyscrapers everywhere... but the streets are full of dead cars. Hovercars. The Three Powers insignia is everywhere.
Garrick: *slowly begins to walk, glancing around...*
Traon walks close behind Garrick, doing the same. He also draws out his weapon.
Bonecrusher walks over to a car, club readied.
Metal Man (GM): The cars have already been mostly destroyed.
Garrick: "...New New York... it's been a while."
Metal Man (GM): The city is much different from when Garrick last visited it. All the buildings are taller... and different. The city street leads out into an open area. The sidewalks are cracked, and so are the skyscrapers. It looks like the area was evacuated following a war of some kind. A newspaper blows by.
Garrick: *snaps it up, looking at it...*
Traon looks at the newspapers and goes to grab it.
Newspaper: 'SOLARIANS THREATEN RUINS OF THREE POWERS WITH SOLARIAN MACHINE.'
Garrick: "...so this is... after I was warped out... When the Solarians made their appearance."
Newspaper: 'The Solarians have released a report indicating they plan on destroying all of their foes with a planet-eradicating weapon. It is unlikely anyone will survive. All inhabitants are encouraged to evacuate.' The most interesting part is the date. February 2nd, 2420.
Garrick: "...good lord."
Traon: "The hell..."
Douglas: "This is sketchy."
Garrick: *shakes his head, looking up from the paper.* "No... this is far from sketchy... this is what happened..."
Metal Man (GM): It also says some other things. '100 year anniversary of the last President of the Three Powers--subsequent government was destroyed by Gerald Robotnik and the Maricians, who fight the Solarians to this day.'
John: "...One hell of a Groundhog Day."
Traon lets go of his part of the article and lets Garrick hold on to the rest. "All yours."
Newspaper: 'Both the Maricians and Solarians have gone on to fight one another; this weapon has, in truth, been activated to counter Gerald's own insane weapon of mass destruction. However it also means the end of New New York city, the last haven of Three Powers ex-citizens. We here at the New New York Times submit our regrets for not being able to continue publishing. Good bye and good luck.' The paper is very sparse. It's a single slip of paper.
Garrick: *folds the paper up and places it in his jacket pocket.*
Traon: "So. There is nothing here then, just a bunch of crumbling buildings, dead cars, oh and don't forget to mention the planet killing machine running about."
Metal Man (GM): Ah, but Traon hasn't gone to the Central Park yet. It looks stunningly pristine amongst these ruined cars... And it's dead ahead!
Garrick: "...c'mon."
John: "Not really running about..." He glances around to see if there's anything else interesting nearby... Like that park. Movement!
Garrick: *moves forward slowly.*
Traon: "Alright." he follows after Garrick.
Garrick: "...I forgot how much they cleaned up after the bomb dropped..."
Traon: "Wait... You were here after this happened?"
Garrick: "Oh, no no. I left before all this... near the end of World War III."
Traon: "So... This is Earth after all... Or am I wrong?"
Garrick: "No, this is Earth alright..."
Metal Man (GM): There is... something interesting.
Douglas: "No, it's The X-Zone showing us this part of the Earth of Metal's time."
Traon: "So this is what is to become of my home... If only I could go back to help stop this from happening."
Douglas looks at the sky.
Dex: "Metal's time actually occurred long after this."
John: "It's probably best not to, man..."
Dex: "The first firing of the Solarian Machine was 1080 years past this."
Garrick: "Yes, John is right. If this didn't happen, Nintendus wouldn't have happened..."
Dex: "Er... the second one, that is. If you revert this, the problem is that the Solarians would not have been destroyed by the second firing. Therefore you must fight them. But they are, so far as I've heard, infinitely stronger than any of us. Thus it is a bad idea, as victory erases all of you from history."
Traon: "Hmm. But to think, three hundred years ago I was just here. Cleaning school, and doing other jobs." he listens to Dex and nods. "I understand that now. It's just hard to cope with this."
John: "Aye, aye... History is best left alone."
Metal Man (GM): The Questers reach the park... a rich man in a suit looks to them.
???: "Hey. I thought I told you poor people to get away from here."
Douglas: "You!"
John: "...?"
Douglas: "I've been looking for you, sir."
???: "...That's odd. I've never seen you before. I just thought I told poor people much like you to star away from Neo York."
Garrick: "...so this is that guy you've got a hard on to see..."
???: "It's the only safe place around for miles, after all."
Douglas: "...You aren't the same being that impersonated Kuja..."
???: "Who?"
Douglas shakes his head. "What's your name?"
???: "You must be crazy. Then again, the X-zone does that to people."
Traon: "I could care less if you're rich or not. You're treading before someone who is on the verge of being pissed off at what has become of his home."
Cornelius Monk: "I am Cornelius Monk XVI. What sort of trash are you?"
Garrick: *gently puts his hand on Traon's shoulder.* "Calm down..."
Douglas shrugs. "Sir Aetos of the Wind."
Cornelius Monk: "Don't talk smart with me, boy. We have weapons to keep off the monsters. We can kill anyone who attacks us. Sir Aetos? Hm. I can't be sure if you deserve such a name."
Traon glares at Garrick, but tries to keep his voice calm. "I am trying to stay calm, but right now that isn't a easy task." He takes a deep breath and stops walking, but looks forward.
Douglas narrows his eyes. "Anyways..."
Cornelius: "...Are you one of those poor people who entered from some alien world? I hate them so much. So needy. It was better to let the monsters eat them."
Garrick: *steps forward.* "Sir, you need to understand, we're very familiar with the X-Zone. We're far from crazy. Looking at this time is harder on some of us than others."
Cornelius: "Poppycock. I was born and raised here all my life."
Garrick: *arches his eyebrow.* "In the X-Zone?"
Traon: "I was born and raised here three hundred years ago. You know nothing of how this planet should be."
Douglas: "Garrick, this isn't the same X-zone that you know about."
Cornelius: "It's been..." He looks at his watch. "Around one thousand eight hundred years since this city was sent here."
Cornelieus: "I was born around thirty-five years ago."
Garrick: *growls at Douglas, then fingers the scanner on his head to take readings of the area.*
Cornelius: "You count the math, mercenaries."
Traon: "I've read the history of how this city was founded. It wasn't 'Sent' here. I was built here."
Metal Man (GM): Garrick detects evil energy about. This place isn't very safe.
Cornelius: "Of course it was built. Then the Solarian Weapon sent it here. Most of the original people turned into monsters, which ate even more of the people."
Garrick: "That makes sense..."
Cornelius: "But! The rich stockpiled weapons and built a gated community."
Garrick: "And you are one of these rich people, I take it?"
Cornelius: "We now live in a small area, however we are perfectly safe. Of course. We don't have enough resources for anyone else. The population is controlled to be exactly 500."
Garrick: *chuckles.* "Four hundred and ninety-nine right now. Why are you out here instead of in there?"
Traon: "That the thing about this city I always hated. Pompous rich people who consider themselves better than everyone else. When in fact, they are nothing but trash themselves."
Cornerlius: "The X-zone has done some... bad things to us, but we remain more human than monster, so it's good enough."
Douglas ponders for a second... he tries to discern the location of the Quester HQ that they were at when they saw this city in the distance.
Cornelius: "Oh. You must not know of our technology."
Metal Man (GM): Douglas can't tell. Buildings on all sides block view of the surrounding areas.
Cornelius: "You see, I am not actually out here."
Metal Man (GM): He walks through a tree.
Douglas blinks. "Alright."
Garrick: "...a projective hologram..."
Bonecrusher tries to grab it.
Cornelius: "Our bodies walk around inside the city we built, but to satisfy curiosities our projected selves wander."
Traon: "That just goes along with what I just said. They are also cowards."
Metal Man (GM): No attempt to grab him succeeds.
Cornelius: "We have seen places from every time period you can imagine."
Metal Man (GM): Bonecrusher grabs the tree. It's a gigantic oak tree.
Cornelius: "They're all here. In this X-zone. We have the best history books in any realm ever."
Garrick: "You do know that the monsters are coming out of the X-Zone and into the real world?"
Cornelius: "You are... Questers, right? Yes, we do. We have yet to replicate their technology."
John: "Aye..."
Cornelius: "But why bother? Our lifespans in here are five times that of out there. We know all of history, in fact we can visit it."
Garrick: "So that's what you are doing. Visiting history from all eras."
Cornelius: "And no Solarians can ever attack us. Of course. We catalog all of it. This Kuja fellow... we shall have to find an imprint of him somewhere. Now... what are you here for?"
Traon: "As long as my history isn't replicated and put into books, I'll be happy."
Cornelius: "We do not take interest in... peasants."
Garrick: *glances to Traon, then back to this Cornelius person.* "We're here to investigate the situation on some ruins on a planet called Genetia."
Cornelius: "The alien planet? Oh, those annoying, haughty people. They're all dead, and all because they refused to use our technology. The monsters come and go from that way." He points to a side-street. "Of course, they'll likely eat you, too."
Garrick: "Excuse me for saying this, but you don't seem the type to let someone use your technology."
Traon smirks. "So you kill those who refuse your technology, eh?"
Cornelius: "No. Without our technology, you die here. Oh, but our technology is a fair trade."
Garrick: "And just what is that trade?"
Cornelius: "Your spiritual energy is encased in an indestructible vault. That way, when you die, we can revive you using it. Over and over again. Until you hit 500. The only limit is that if you walk too far away from it you may become... monstrous..."
Garrick: *stops, thinking for a moment...*
Cornelius: "But it is a fair trade for life."
John: "...Hmm..."
Traon: "Oh joy, I've always wanted to live half a generation."
John: "Half a millennium, you mean?"
Traon: "Ya..."
Cornelius: "Now, unless you wish to buy some things from us, I shall be going."
Douglas: "Erm... "
Cornelius: "It is time for supper, and I cannot concentrate on eating while operating a projector."
Douglas: "Do you know a lot about this dimension, Cornelius II?"
Cornelius: "XVI. And yes."
Douglas: "Right..."
Traon looks at Garrick, with half a smile on his face. "Tell me Garrick, we are capable of time travel, right?"
Douglas: "I have a couple questions. Firstly, sir, what would happen if a weapon of unique, great power were to come into this zone from another dimension?"
Garrick: "..."
Cornelius: "Ah! I have seen that happen." He shakes his head, sadly.
Traon: "Remind me when we finish here to go back in time and end this man's sorry excuse of a life."
Cornelius: "It gains a life of its own and kills its owner."
Garrick: *looks to Traon, shaking his head.* "Calm. Down."
Cornelius: "Then it steals their soul and stalks the X-zone, searching for more. Foolish being. You'd have to kill my PARENTS to do that. No... no. My great... great... great... great... it's too far back."
Douglas: "...So ... there are currently powerful weapons stalking this dimension?... Frightening..."
Cornelius: "I have always lived in the X-zone. Yes, Sir Aetos."
Garrick: *sighs and rolls his eyes.*
Cornelius: "Secondarily, the technology we have make even my physical body not enough to kill me."
Douglas: "Secondly, sir... Do you know of the X-Zone Manipulation technique?... Where can one find a proper way to train this ability?"
Garrick: *glances hard at Douglas.*
Traon: "Cornelius Monk XVI, I'll remember that when I'm back in the 22nd century. I'll kill whatever Cornelius Monk I find there, even if I have to kill every last one of them."
Garrick: "...you son of a bitch. THAT'S why you wanted in here?!"
Cornelius: "I'm afraid I can't do that technique. You have to have your soul in your body for that. And... if you use it... you become corrupted."
Metal Man (GM): He points at Traon.
Cornelius: "Like this man."
Douglas nods empathetically...
John blinks a bit, looking at Traon. "...Why do you want him dead?"
Douglas: "Thank you, Cornelius. Good luck with your survival."
Cornelius: "Besides, if what you say are true, angry peasant, I wouldn't be talking to you. I'd vanish into thin air."
Traon: "I'm an individual thinker, I don't really listen to anyone but myself. That doesn't make me corrupt."
Cornelius: "Now... that is all, right? I am hungry."
Garrick: *looks straight at Cornelius.* "Go."
Douglas nods. "Goodbye."
Metal Man (GM): He vanishes. The Questers know of the right street to go to now.
Traon: "Well I'm happy now that I got that off my chest. Shall we go now?"
Douglas only ponders why they were rude to the man, and then goes to the street the monsters travel through, according to Cornelius.
Garrick: *turns to Aetos and glares at him.* "I'm going to tell you this once and only once. If you go after this false dream of X-Zone Manipulation, I won't hesitate to put you on the wanted list."
Metal Man (GM): The group doesn't even need to go down the street he pointed to; the monsters come out of it for them.
John: "Chill out, man." *moves on.*
Metal Man (GM): These ones are different, though.
John: *or not.* "...Hmm."
Douglas halts.
Metal Man (GM): They appear to be normal men... normal... not so much anymore. Former Three Powers soldiers, carrying their main weapons. ...Which are laser swords. Their eyes are red and bugeyed-looking. Their hair is long, unruly, and on fire. They wear elf shoes and their arms are extremely long.
Garrick: *narrows his eyes, drawing his weaponry...*
Metal Man (GM): Spikes protrude from their shoulders and they have long coattails.
John: "...Gyah, almost as bad as the Dans."
Metal Man (GM): One of them... speaks to the Questers.
???: "Shoe pie snow. Buy bait moo chew clive steeple. Boo goo nine flour X-zone."
Metal Man (GM): It makes absolutely no sense at all.
Traon: "I hear something about pie and buying bait..."
Garrick: *slowly lowers his weapons...*
Douglas clears his throat.
Garrick: "...can you understand me?"
Dragoshi pops in. Whee.
???: "Chess, shut pie cake boo. Glue gall my."
Traon: "I buy bait, bring you pie. You understand that weird mutated person thingy?"
Douglas closes his eyes and speaks back as well. "Cheese mini sock CD. Cup box running shout phone... mouse flash battery...?"
???: "Snow, boo bake glow incense."
Garrick: "...wait..."
John lofts an eyebrow and whips out his dex.
Traon: "I could have fun with this. But I'm done."
Garrick: "No no, wait! I get it!"
Dragoshi: "You do?"
John tries to see if he can get some sort of translation.
Garrick: "You said, 'No, you make no sense.', right?"
Dex: "Language appears to be rearranged English words. Unknown meaning."
Metal Man (GM): The monster is taken aback.
???: "But, boo fan beer miss? Chew men..."
Traon: "He's a fan of beer and... He wants to kill men?"
Garrick: "Traon, quiet!"
Traon puts his hands up in defeat and sits on the ground.
Garrick: "I can hear you... uhhh... My fan fear boo?"
Traon: "I'm going to go find a more intelligent crowd to speak to..." He gets up and starts searching the area for anything that might look out of place.
???: "Plow shy bask: Far boo smith bus, shore cot?"
Metal Man (GM): The most out-of-place thing is the strange being talking to Garrick.
Garrick: "Jeez, this is getting hard... okay... let's see..."
Metal Man (GM): He waits... still puzzled that Garrick even partially understands him. His friends lower their swords and look around.
Garrick: "You asked something... smith... hurt... hm... okay." *walks a bit closer, sheathing his sword.* "We won't harm you if you won't harm us. We come in peace."
???: "..." He looks around and then suddenly speaks in a different accent.
Metal Man (GM): It's a dark, gravelly, evil voice.
???: "You understand the dark language of the Shadar... therefore I shall forgo killing you for an offer..."
Garrick: "Trust me buddy, it was luck I managed to understand it to begin with..."
???: "...First... the one who desires our power... he!" He points at Aetos. "You, do you... you... wish to... become... know... exist...?"
Leo: "..."
???: "Power... exists for you and me."
Dragoshi: "..."
Douglas smirks. "Myself and Dragoshi..." *Points at Dragoshi.*
???: "No matter. Need one." He points at Aetos, then generates an unholy sphere of energy and offers it to him. "Give... soul... become X-zone powerful!"
Garrick: *spins around and glares at Douglas.*
Douglas coughs. "Give soul?..."
Leo: *to Garrick.* "So, what's with this guy?"
???: "He wishes... X-zone power. Soul needed... to make power. X-zone... evil... must corrupt all. Outside world... nearly ours... Genetia... one of many."
Garrick: *glances to Leo, then back to Aetos.* "Well, what's it going to be, Aetos? You going to give in?"
Douglas: "Well, sir. I refuse to give up my soul for anything. Sorry."
???: "No... not give up... give up is how lose X-zone. Give soul... to corrupt... and give back."
Leo: "..."
???: "X-zone power soul corruptor."
Garrick: "...basically, Aetos... you give him your soul... he corrupts it... and he gives it back."
Douglas: "I got that, Garrick."
???: "Then... energy power... you stop those you wish... control all... greatness."
Traon thinks and looks at the being. "What about those whose soul is already corrupt?"
Garrick: "Then what are you going to do, hmm?"
???: "Energy perfect... exist everlasting. I... friend... imperfect. Corrupt from dead. Have no soul. Can kill. No else. If no corrupt, all you. Killed. Way of Shadar."
Traon: "According to that rich man, I'm already corrupt..."
Leo: "...This is getting too crazy for me."
Douglas: "So if my soul was corrupted, would I start to take over Genetia, like the Smithy robots, and the false Magellean Military 2?"
???: "Rich man dumb. Rich man idiot coward idiot man. You too plain and good to be X-zone. No, no. You take over Genetia like X-zone. Morph all into monsters. Like I you if you no take offer."
Metal Man (GM): He laughs a high-pitched, dissonant laughter.
Traon: "Well, now I can agree with you on the rich man." He smiles and sits back down.
Douglas sighs and whispers to Garrick, surprisingly.
Garrick: *stares at Douglas...* "...he was right. You DO make no sense..." *turns to look at this fellow.* "Listen. We're here to protect Genetia, but enough people have died already. Can we discuss some sort of treaty that would be benefit to both you and us?"
Douglas: "Wait... How about..."
Dragoshi: *Just leans back and watches...*
???: "I Soul need. Without no deal. You die monster turn."
Douglas: "You corrupt my soul... And I turn those Smithy robots and MM2 people into monsters?"
Leo: *backs up and watches with Dragoshi.*
Metal Man (GM): He suddenly smiles and laughs.
Garrick: *GLARES at Douglas.*
???: "Yes. Touch sphere begin now."
Metal Man (GM): He holds it out to Douglas.
Leo: "...Hey Drago, got some popcorn?"
Garrick: "...it's not my place to say, Douglas... but remember what I said."
Douglas shakes his head at Garrick. "Remember, it's easier to kill me than to fight people here... Just go ahead and do me in if I do something bad, alright?" *places his hand on the sphere, reluctantly.*
???: "Not X-zone with. Power kill! New die people."
Dragoshi: "Nope. Sorry, Leo."
Metal Man (GM): Douglas is covered with orange energy, which then infiltrates his skin.
Garrick: *can't help but glare, backing up as he draws his weapons again.*
Metal Man (GM): He would then feel as much pain as if he was being stabbed with thousands of spears.
Douglas: *Ow. Screams. Pain.*
Leo: "...That looks like it hurts."
Dragoshi: *...Readies his machinegun, but not as to make it visible... yet.*
Metal Man (GM): Energy glows and he falls over, KO'd.
???: "Now. Rest you take deal, or die!"
Metal Man (GM): He holds out the sphere threateningly to all of you.
Garrick: "...no."
Leo has is hand on his sword ready to draw at a moment's notice."
???: "Die you now. I Eldoirs. You dead!"
Garrick: "You might be able to seduce Aetos with this power, but not me."
Leo: "...This looks bad."
Garrick: "We'll see about that. Come on!"
Metal Man (GM): He and the four others take out their energy swords and get into combat position.
Dragoshi: *Charges up...* "Ah, sod you."
Garrick: *lunges forward, charging head on at this Eldoirs.*
Traon lets out a grunt and stands up, weapon ready.
Leo takes out his sword and rushes at... them.
Dragoshi: *Looks at the first Eldoirs, and...* *A pair of throwing scythes fly out and attempts to slice, dice, and makes julienne fries out of it!*
Metal Man (GM): They're slow like molasses. Hit hit.
Dragoshi: *And, then he fires a Tidal Blast barrage at the same Eldoirs.*
Metal Man (GM): All hit.
Traon starts off by attempting to sync with the environment. Hoping for good results.
Metal Man (GM): Traon suddenly turns pitch black, into a shadow of himself. Traon gains the ability to understand X-zone beings... and other stuff. But nothing attack-wise. D'oh!
Traon shrugs this off and charges at the Eldoirs, his power focusing into his left arm. When he approaches he strikes his weapons upwards, crimson light trailing behind the blade, his crimson wave.
Metal Man (GM): Hit. Traon kills one and wound the other.
Leo draws his sword and starts going hack & slash crazy on one of the Eldoirs.
Metal Man (GM): All hit. The Eldoirses get into combat formation. #2 does two quick stabs at Dragoshi. #3 does the same at Leo. #4 attacks Bonecrusher.
Dragoshi: *Pegged by both... Not really impressed.* "...Meh."
Metal Man (GM): #5 then attacks Dragoshi again.
Dragoshi: *Evades one this time.*
Leo: *gets smacked around.*
Garrick: *charges the one that got wounded in Leo's attack, slashing hard once over before unloading his new P-90 three times into it's gut, then finishing with a powerful stab, then blasting him off eith a round from the same gun.*
Metal Man (GM): Hit. All hit. #2 dies.
Bonecrusher takes a step forward and unloads on #3 with an uppercut.
Metal Man (GM): #3 is now 5 feet away.
Bonecrusher does the same to #4.
Metal Man (GM): Now they're both 5 feet away.
Dragoshi: *Fires a Tidal Blast Barrage at #3.*
Metal Man (GM): All hit. Yup.
Dragoshi: *And another!*
Metal Man (GM): ...Nope!
Dragoshi: "There we go."
Traon goes on the aggressive side and adds this aggression to his attack. He swings around charging the attack with his weapons and just plays baseball with #5s head.
Metal Man (GM): #5 is now 4 feet away.
Leo hurls two bolts of lightning at #3.
Metal Man (GM): #3 dies. #4 runs all the way up and tries to stab Dragoshi twice again. #5 slashes twice at Traon.
Dragoshi: *evades 1.*
Garrick: *goes after the BOTH of them, unloading with a rapid fire pair of shockwaves.*
Metal Man (GM): They're both 2 feet away now. They moved up to attack.
Bonecrusher takes one step forward and unloads one uppercut to each one.
Metal Man (GM): Hit. Hit. They all dieeeeeee. The way ahead is clear.
Dragoshi: *Onward!*
Metal Man (GM): There ahead is a twisted alleyway... they apparently come from here for a reason.
Leo: *ONWARD.*
Garrick: "...what should we do with Aetos?"
Traon humph and goes on. "Didn't even break a sweat."
Dragoshi: *stops.* "...No idea."
Leo: "Let's leave him."
Traon: "We can bring him along and figure out a way to fix him... Or we do what Leo suggests. Either way works for me."
Garrick: *sighs.* "Like him, hate him, or loathe him, he IS still a Quester... no matter how much I wish him not to be... he might have broken the code with that little stunt, though... we won't know until we get out of the X-Zone..." *holsters his P-90 and throws Aetos over his shoulder.*
Traon finally realizes what happened to him. "Anyone have any idea on... how to fix me? I'm as black as night. I have more of a understanding of things now... But I still don't understand... That make any sense?"
Leo: "...Nope. I'm glad I didn't think of that."
Dex: "Environmental sync wears off."
Metal Man (GM): The Questers eventually reach the end of the alley... this is new.
Leo: "Well, there ya go."
Metal Man (GM): There's a door into thin air.
Traon shrugs. "I'm happy now."
Metal Man (GM): It reminds the Questers of the Doorman's... only... The Doorman clearly copied the doors from here. These are more powerful. They appear to generate themselves.
Garrick: "...so this was his power..."
Metal Man (GM): The door opens up... and there inside is a temple. The most evil temple anyone has ever seen. Millions of monsters surround it. No one can enter without being massacred.
Traon: "Oh look... I say we... forget that idea."
Garrick: "...my god..."
Traon: "Anyone got a couple thousand grenades handy?"
Dragoshi: "...my hell... no."
Traon: "It's like China... Only worse."
Bonecrusher readies his club.
Garrick: "...this is beyond even us..."
Metal Man (GM): The door shuts, and there's another thing behind the door. One can walk around the door and see...
Leo: "...Damn."
Metal Man (GM): ...And enter a pub.
Bonecrusher: "Why shut door?" *growls.*
Traon: "Because Rockhead, murder was written all over the place."
Bonecrusher: "You take back!"
Traon: "Ok ok, murder wasn't written all over the place... Genocide?"
Dragoshi: "...Why do I have the feeling this is gonna lead to a trainwreck?"
Bonecrusher grabs Traon by the neck and lifts him off the ground.
Dragoshi: "...Aaaaaand, bam. I'm right."
Garrick: *slowly moves over to Bonecrusher and gently jams his sword point into the ground.*
Traon smiles and peers down and smiles at Bonecrusher. "Now now my friend, thats what we call good humor. I'm very well aware there's a lot of knowledge behind that skull of yours."
Garrick: "Put him down."
Bonecrusher tosses Traon as far as he can.
Leo: "..."
Traon does a few backflips in the air and lands on his feet... Only to take a step back and trip on a rock. "Ouch..."
Leo: *smacks BC in the back of his head.* "That's a bad Bonecrusher."
Garrick: *sighs...*
Leo: "Say you're sorry."
Bonecrusher decks Leo.
Garrick: *moves over to stand next to Dragoshi.* "...is it just me, or are the Questers getting less and less... Quester like, these days?"
Editor's Note: All too true. Good thing most of the least Quester-like ones exploded, eh? :p
Leo jumps back, dodging it.
Traon: "Note to self... Think of a nicer name." he gets up and walks back over."
Dex: "No. Bonecrusher is getting more violent."
Dragoshi: "...I have no idea, man. I just try and stand back and evade the constant of stupidity."
Garrick: "Okay, that's it... ALL OF YOU!"
Metal Man (GM): A sword stabs out of the front door of the bar.
???: "You fighting each other once again? I am not surprised."
Garrick: "..."
Metal Man (GM): ...A lizardman walks out, wearing black robes.
Traon: "Yes, Garrick? ..." he trails off and looks at the sword in the door.
Dragoshi: "...Hiya."
Garrick: "...YOU!"
Traon: "Just when I thought I've seen it all, there's talking lizards now."
Kales Brando: "I should have known... you're all fools for having left Turion in the first place."
Bonecrusher growls at Kales.
Kales Brando: "Allow me to settle this problem." He draws... Schnelltott?
Dragoshi: *charges up as Garrick says that, then looks at Traon.* "...Dude. I'm half dragon for crying out loud." >_> "...Wait, wait."
Leo: "..."
Dragoshi: "Freaking WAIT. How is there-Shouldn't that-...Sod it."
Garrick: "He should be dead."
Kales Brando: "You foolish Orc creature. You once existed on Turion. I once did, too." He slices the sword through himself and it passes through smoothly.
Garrick: "We KILLED him... and I think he is still dead."
Traon: "Now I am officialy... Ya know... Nevermind."
Kales Brando: "I died because I used the Questers for my own ends. You... shall also die if you continue to attack your allies."
Bonecrusher has no clue what Kales is on about.
Garrick: "...for once, I agree with this damn lizard."
Kales Brando: "You seek... parts to a staff, at least unintentionally. Let me note that... you will never control it."
Dragoshi: "...Why would we want to?"
Kales Brando: "The power of Aran killed me... and what it turned me into died as well."
Dragoshi: "...I see."
Traon just listens now.
Leo listens as well.
Kales Brando: "If you do not work together, then you shall all die. This realm makes Turion look like a walk in the park. Even now they regroup, knowing your weakness. Aetos will not long be on your side if you dally here."
Garrick: "...we've got to get back to the portal."
Kales Brando: "I myself am the absorbed conscious of myself, from the destruction when this staff was eliminated."
Metal Man (GM): He flickers once, showing his core... the pyramid component of the staff.
Kales Brando: "As are the others. For the others all touched it once. To earn possession of this part, you must prove yourself more worthy than I."
Metal Man (GM): He brandishes the sword.
Kales Brando: "There is no Julian to save you now. Prepare to die, Questers!"
Metal Man (GM): He flicks the sword, carving a solid stone pillar in half.
Garrick: "...damn it."
Metal Man (GM): He then marches at the Questers with a swordmaster's gait.
Dragoshi: "...Really, now?" *Luckily, this has given him some time to charge. Wheeeeee...* >_>
Garrick: *he chucks Aetos to the side, out of the way of the fight, drawing his own weapons.*
Traon: "I'm unimpressed. I mean c'mon, I've seen someone punch through a impossible metal door."
Leo: "..."
Dragoshi: "...Eh. This guy wields a sword that can kill the hell out of people like--" *Snaps free claw.* "That."
Metal Man (GM): Kales spins around his Schnelltott and lunges forth... at Dragoshi.
Dragoshi: .oO(...He moves even faster than I could ever hope to do so...)
Dragoshi: *One, two! Two misses!*
Metal Man (GM): He then leaps up and uses both hands to vertical slash attack Garrick.
Dragoshi: *Though, DAMN it still hurts no matter how you slash it with an ion chalupa.*
Metal Man (GM): He spins around his sword at Bonecrusher.
Garrick: *snarls as the attack takes him down to near death.*
Metal Man (GM): He then stabs once at Leo.
Kales Brando: "You are all weak against me. You were hiding behind power... I am unstoppable."
Leo: *Gets stabified.*
Garrick: "Don't hold back! Give him everything you've got! It's the only way to win!"
Dragoshi: "...What the-How... You moved even faster than I could... Even if I were to be at my most agile state..." *...Apparently, Drag is shocked. And somewhat disturbed.*
Kales Brando: "I have refined my sword technique over many eons, using the power of my ancestors... The forbidden black magic none of you could ever touch!"
Leo: *to Garrick quietly.* "Hey, if I use environment sync to get the X-Zone in me, could I become immune to his attacks?"
Garrick: "Doubtful."
Dragoshi: *Concentrates...*
Leo: "Hmmm..."
Dragoshi: "..." *A pair of scythes launch out as a mech pops up outta nowhere, and takes Drag's Lighttech pistol, and fires an INSANELY high-powered blast at X-Kales.*
Metal Man (GM): He is hit by both of them... but he doesn't seem all that effected.
John whirls out his glowing blue pike and lunges forward, sending forth a trio of thrusts with it, the last stronger than the others.
Metal Man (GM): Hit hit hit. One obviously misses.
Garrick races in, slicing him up once before unloading three quick shots with his P-90, followed by one big blasting shot. Before the true end of his attack, however, he looks to see if he really is taking damage...
Metal Man (GM): Miiiissss. Hit hit miiiisss. Hit.
Bonecrusher uppercuts the enemy.
Metal Man (GM): He moves back... no distance. That's quite some resistance.
Leo starts to cut up X-Kales with his 8 hit cutter attack.
Metal Man (GM): Miss crit hit hit crit miss hit miss.
Traon again uses environment sync.
Metal Man (GM): Traon's X-zoney status is restored.
Traon then starts to search through the acquire attributes to see if he can use the X-zone to help them in their battle.
Kales Brando: "Hah. Even a hallucination of this blade can hit you in that form."
Metal Man (GM): Traon can't find any attributes to help him here. This guy's an X-zone hallucination.
Traon smiles and starts doing a different dance than he usually with his dance of death. This one is stationary and he just swings his weapon around him, but not strike. Sacred Serenade.
Metal Man (GM): Kales leaps up at Dragoshi and spins around three times with the sword... and a crit! Then he does a vertical stab at Garrick.
Dragoshi: *Okay. He lost his life that time... But...*
Metal Man (GM): Finally, he spins around 4 times at Bonecrusher.
Dragoshi: *...Quick revive! ...After Kales is done.* "...Meh." *flip kicks Kales, first of all.* *Drag's first kick is normal, while his second, he hovers there for a second, and then rears back, and SLAMS his other foot down on Kales. INTENSE... FLIPKICKING... ACTION.*
Metal Man (GM): Hit, crit, hit miss.
John starts off by dashing forward for a swift kick to the solar plexus, before then going to grab Kales by the throat and throw him to the ground. He then finishes by jabbing the spear down into him.
Metal Man (GM): Miss hit hit.
Garrick unloads with a charged up Draw and Cut, followed by a point blank blast with an Armor Piercing Round, slamming into Kales' stomach.
Bonecrusher same play.
Metal Man (GM): Hit.
Bonecrusher: *Uppercut.*
Leo once again goes hack & slash crazy on X-Kales.
Metal Man (GM): Hit hit miss miss hit miss hit hit.
Traon ends his dance and goes on a aggressive lunge, he adds this aggression by spinning and trying to smack Kales in the head with the pole of his weapon.
Metal Man (GM): Miss.
Traon ends his aggression and tries to stab.
Metal Man (GM): Hit. Kales spins around at Garrick this time.
Garrick: *dies.*
Metal Man (GM): He does a strong stab at Leo.
Leo: *Dies.*
Metal Man (GM): Then he spins 4 times at Dragoshi.
Dragoshi: *...Oh, come on.* *If it wasn't for that crit he'd have more health left, but no luck has to be fucktarded... GRAH. Quick Revive. AGAIN.* *Okay... Goin' for broke... Double flip kick!*
Metal Man (GM): Hit hit hit hit.
John rockets forth with a Hell Raiser to toastify Kales, following up with another swift kick to the stomach and a grab & toss attack.
Bonecrusher uppercuts twice.
Metal Man (GM): He is hit by those, and then disintegrates, leaving the pyramid... and a portal out.
Dragoshi: *Takes the pyramid.*
Leo: "...Glad that's over."
Traon: "He was no fun... Once again I walk out unscathed."
Dragoshi: *Srsly, though. Exit, stage portal, even!*
Bonecrusher warps out.
Leo warps.
Garrick: *sighs and warps out.*
Traon warps out.
Douglas: x.x *Throw against the wall by Garrick, and forgotten?*
Garrick: *waits, stops, goes and GETS Aetos, THEN warps out.*
Douglas: *Would thank you...*
Metal Man (GM): A while later, the Questers are on the Q.S. Seeker, ready for another mission.
Garrick is probably watching a line form outside his lab...
Metal Man (GM): Today's choices: Find Ruin Miasma, Eggman Part #2, and Genetia's Capital.
Douglas: *Capital.*
Metal Man (GM): The Capital it is. The warp is open. Now is the time to do any weapons stuff, too.
Digifanatic: *patiently waits around in the Big Room, not needing anything at the moment.*
Traon just votes for option #3... Again.
Metal Man (GM): The Questers may enter the portal to Genetia's capital.
Douglas: *Into le portermatron!*
Traon doesn't really waste time so he goes into the portal.
Dragoshi: *Puts on breath mask, enters portal.*
Digifanatic: *mask, portal.*
Garrick: *does the same. Mask, portal.*
Metal Man (GM): The Questers appear in the next destination... It's a massive city all right. But unfortunately it doesn't look so good. There is destruction everywhere.
Dragoshi: "...Yeesh."
Metal Man (GM): Buildings toppled. Skeletons of dead people. Pits where fires were.
Digifanatic: "As usual..."
Metal Man (GM): The only trace as to what caused this is one thing... a single robot, which appears to be dead.
Douglas: "Well so much for there being help here."
Metal Man (GM): It looks vaguely humanoid, is 10 feet tall.
Garrick: *sighs, flicking on his scanner and trying to locate humanoid lifesigns...*
Metal Man (GM): It's laying on the ground, several thousand holes made in it by laser weaponry. And even then, it appears to have destroyed everything around it.
Garrick: *moves to this robot, looking to see if it's heavily damaged and/or salvageable.*
Metal Man (GM): It is... possibly salvageable.
Traon slowly walks up to the robot thing but kind of keeps his distance. "If this thing did all this... I'd hate to run into one that is still operational."
Digifanatic: "Yeah..."
Metal Man (GM): Garrick opens the top compartment, and behold circuitry based on... quantum energy. The weaponry which harmed it, salvageable? No.
Garrick: "Holy hell..."
Dragoshi: *Does the same as Traon.* "...Mhm."
Metal Man (GM): The technology inside it? Just 1 chip of that could probably outperform everything the Questers have.
Garrick: "This is... good lord."
Dragoshi: *Walks up to Garrick.* "...?"
Metal Man (GM): It shows, too, as the wide swath of destruction it caused, possibly alone, indicates extremely powerful thinking processes.
Garrick: *glances back to Dragoshi, then motions to the inside of the robot.* "This is some heavy duty stuff. Quantum energy power systems."
Metal Man (GM): Garrick sees exactly what it had for a weapon now. It needed no weapons.
Dragoshi: "Yeesh."
Digifanatic: "Insane..."
Garrick: "Clean, efficient, and damn strong."
Metal Man (GM): Using slightly above human strength it attacked the weaknesses of everything around it.
Traon: "Garrick, I don't know if your already thinking this, but might I suggest taking one of them chips in there? We could do some studies on it when we leave here."
Metal Man (GM): Signs, people, concrete, even things which seemed mundane smashed apart and spread everywhere.
Garrick: "That's exactly my thought. If we can duplicate this stuff, we'd be much better off... but..."
Dragoshi: "...It might backfire on us?"
Metal Man (GM): There are, however, only a few salvageable chips in this mess.
Garrick: "Well, look at this."
Metal Man (GM): It was shot thousands of times just to ensure it died.
Garrick: *points to the robot's hands.*
Dragoshi: *Looks at 'em.*
Metal Man (GM): The hands themselves have extra joints and a numerable amount of extensions no human hand could use.
Garrick: "This thing didn't have a gun or a sword or anything. It was so fast, it found every last little weakness in it's attackers and nailed it."
Dex: "Current calculations show this to be... 2,000 years beyond our technology."
Dragoshi: "...Disturbing."
Garrick: "That tells me this thing is a miniature Nova. Its processing speed is so fast it can find all those details and react accordingly before we even blinked."
Dragoshi: "...2,000, huh?"
Dex: "Guns, swords... pikes... poles... it needs none of them, although if it had one this entire city might have been destroyed."
Traon whistles and gets a little closer and looks it over. "We would be destroyed if we had to challenge one of these."
Garrick: "Not sure about that, Traon. Sure, these things are beyond them, but perhaps we're a match for them. I'd need more proof, though..."
Metal Man (GM): A person walks over... another soldier, He appears friendly.
Traon: "True... We have been known to pull off the impossible. I forget that sometimes."
Douglas: "Hi, you."
Soldier: "Hello, sir... welcome to our city. I see you found our mechanical foe there."
Dragoshi: "...Yep."
Traon looks over and nods in greeting. "Sure have."
Garrick: "Found indeed. This sucker is one hell of a beast..."
Dragoshi: "Yea, seriously."
Garrick: *starts to crack it open, using his Multi-Tool! to find a usable chip.*
Soldier: "He destroyed 1/2 of the city and was on his way to kill the prime minister when we used a replica of the Master Egg to riddle it with holes."
Metal Man (GM): Garrick finds... 1... 2... 3 chips.
Soldier: "Even then, the replica was destroyed... and we don't even know how that worked."
Dragoshi: "...a replica of the Master Egg? How the-"
Garrick: "...hrm. Nova, come in."
Soldier: "The Mages claimed it was another of that evil being's slaves, but I doubt it."
Traon: "Toying with technology you don't even understand?"
Garrick: *glances to the soldier.* "Mages?"
Soldier: "Had we not, that... thing... would have overrun and destroyed the last free city of Genetia."
Nova: (Comms) "Yes?"
Traon: "If there is one, I am sure there will be others eventually. Best be prepared for the worst."
Soldier: "Oh. Well, sir, you don't have to worry about there being more of them. This was a remnant of endless thousands which took over our planet long ago."
Dragoshi: "...Ah."
Traon: "Ahh."
Soldier: "We had more sophisticated weaponry then, which accounts for why so many of them died. Unfortunately, they were carted off by their fellows. What you see here is a rare thing--no other robots left to cart off this one."
Garrick: "I've got a warp for you, straight to my lab. Bring up a high density particle field around one of the containment units. Warp these chips directly into the container and have no computer or technological contact with them. Also, make sure the warp is isolated. I don't want any stray systems or programs getting into our own things."
Nova: (Comms) "The dex information does suggest it to be infectious. I will ensure it is constrained." It is warped out.
Soldier: "If you would, I want to know... are you a rescue team? No one else would say they could defeat those. And even then, the freaks have been known to kill those."
Garrick: "Also, Nova, feel free to warp in our guest from the previous mission."
Metal Man (GM): *WARP.*
Douglas sighs. "I think Rescue Team is a better term than Mercenaries, don't you all?"
Soldier: "????"
Other Soldier: "Ah... so good to be home again. You're from... Cerrinia? The city that was cursed?"
Traon: "Well, I prefer being called a Mercenary... In a way, that's what my previous job basically was."
Other Soldier: "I am the last Cerrinian."
Garrick: "We rescued this fellow from Cerrinia. We thought it best to have him returned to you."
Soldier: "He shall come with us. You shall meet the mages... our technological community as well." He walks through the wreckage, towards a partially-intact fortress.
Dragoshi: *Follow.*
Other Soldier: "We must go here... these streets are still not safe. Our defense systems are down. Most of our men are dead."
Garrick: *nods and moves to follow.*
Traon looks at Garrick and then the others and shrugs. "Don't see any other ideas of what to do..." he follows.
Other Soldier: "Only because the foe has become silent recently do we live."
Dragoshi: "...The foe?"
Other Soldier: "The secondary wave of machines under Smithy, and now this Armon fella. Ever since you came they stopped raiding. Although these other guys who mimic the robots do appear on the verge of attack."
Dragoshi: "...mimic robots?" ?_?
Metal Man (GM): The Questers walk up to the palace, then inside... only one room is still usable for the public. Two tables sit. One of people in pointy mage hats, the other of 50's era looking scientists with mostly glasses and lab coats or suits.
Dragoshi: .oO(...Peculiar.)
Metal Man (GM): At the center a Prime Minister who is rather... fat... and has a pointy chin with a goatee... he is bald.
Garrick: *walks up to these three people and gives a small salute in the old Three Powers way.*
Traon: "Reminds me of the days of the old back on Earth... I read some books on people that looked like these."
Garrick: "Greetings, gentlemen."
Dragoshi: "..." *Just stays silent and watches.*
Other Soldier: "Now let me introduce you to..."
George Robotnik: "I am George Robotnik, the Prime Minister of remaining Genetia."
Dragoshi: .oO(...Robotnik? Well, that explains the Master Egg replica... I wonder what relation he has to Ivo.)
George Robotnik: "I see you have come in a time of need... see before you the destruction, and death. We are in the end of times... what you see here is all that remains of a once planet-wide government."
Traon: "Something strikes me as ironic, but I can't quite place it..." he shakes his head and offers a nod of greeting. "Nice to meet you Mr. Robotnik."
George Robotnik: "Have you, perhaps, met my relatives?"
Garrick: "All too often."
George Robotnik: "My son, Ivo... my brother, Ivan... my father, Gerald..."
Garrick: "Perhaps introductions of our own are in order."
George Robotnik: "Of course. Proceed."
Garrick: "This is Traon, Dragoshi L. Helldusk, Aetos, and I am Garrick Fy'aar. We are the Questers. Citizens of the planet Nintendus, and... I suppose you could say defenders of good."
George Robotnik: "That was... where most of them fled, unfortunately."
Garrick: "And they were defeated. By us."
George Robotnik: "...I don't know the time scale... I think Gerald was on his own being evil, but the others fled all too soon. ...Even Ivan? I don't remember him having a mean streak."
Garrick: "Ahh, I apologize. What I meant was that Smithy and his followers were defeated by us."
George Robotnik: "Now, what matters is that we fix the planet... but my two committees are at odds."
Mage 1: "Yes sir. We must find and activate the Ultimate Emerald!"
Garrick: *glance between the two...*
Mage 2: "It will destroy all our foes with its magic powers!"
Dragoshi: "...Ultimate Emerald?" ?_?
Garrick: *looks back to Dragoshi.* "More powerful than the Chaos Emeralds?"
Scientist 1: "Are you mad? We have no clue what that is. We must build a massive raygun and annihilate the invaders with antimatter."
Scientist 3: "Data shows it may not even listen to beings from this plane, anyway."
Traon gets interested at the name and pays more attention. "Please explain, if you can."
Mage 1: "Antimatter? That is as unmagical as it gets!"
Garrick: "You should read up on Quester history, Traon..."
Scientist 2: "Magic is unreliable. Science always wins. Look what happened to us when we relied on your magic."
Mage 2: "We didn't expect those golems to be able to walk through non-technology barriers!"
Scientist 1: "Whoever it was went with our style of plans, and won!"
Traon looks at Garrick for a moment and then nods. "I'll put that on my to-do list for when we get back."
Garrick: *looks back to the two factions and clears his throat.*
Mage 1: "The Ultimate Emerald will defeat them. I'm sure!"
George Robotnik: *Smashes his fist on the desk.* "QUIETTTT!!!!! ...Now... you seem impartial enough. Make your choice and help us build or use it. Lest the last people of this planet perish under the power of steel."
Garrick: "..."
Traon: "Have the two committees tried to combine their ideas?" *He directs this question to Robotnik.*
Garrick: *looks to Dragoshi.* "Traon took the words from my mouth. You thinking what I'm thinking?"
Dragoshi: "...?"
Traon nods.
Mage 1: "If we used it to generate antimatter, it'd annihilate the entire planet!"
Scientist 1: "Like I'd let magic touch my machines! That's Magitek! You saw what they did to your planet!"
Mage 4: "My parents died from the Solarian Machine!"
Dragoshi: .oO(Sounds... Soupy.)
Traon: "Combine the ideas of the Ultimate Emerald magic with the technology. Luck be with us, the effect should be doubled if I am thinking correctly."
Metal Man (GM): They die down.
George Robotnik: "You must remember, Magitek destroyed Earth."
Garrick sighs at this and steps forward.
Dragoshi: "...I doubt they'd let us do that."
George Robotnik: "We may gain liberty at the cost of our own lives."
Garrick: "Gentlemen. Both of you make very good points. Magic is powerful and, most likely, something that robots cannot truly understand. A formidable weapon against them. However, it is unstable... Technology can be understood, controlled, and used much more easily. But robots can understand and counter technology."
Scientist 1: "Perhaps, but if we annihilate them, then they can't understand anymore." He smiles.
Scientist 2: "The Antimatter beam can destroy anything!"
Garrick: "He who is overconfident loses the fight quickly."
Dragoshi: "..." *Open palm, insert face. Facepalm.* "Aye."
Garrick: "Tell me something, mages."
Scientist 1: "But we don't know what the Emerald will do. It has never been controlled before!" *...Falls silent.*
Garrick: "Is there anyone on this planet that can understand magic?"
Mage 1: "Us, of course!"
Garrick: "Anyone else?"
Dragoshi: "...He prolly' meant aside from y-There we go..."
Mage 1: "The Echidna once knew far more than us. Then they obliterated themselves by releasing some sort of demon..."
Mage 2: "It was a mistake, I'm sure! The Ultimate Emerald doesn't have a demon in it!"
Garrick: .oO(Knuckles...)
Dragoshi: "..." .oO(Echidna? ...Demon? Zuh?)
Garrick: "Okay, let me restate the question AGAIN..." *steps closer, getting irritated.*
Mage 1: "Uh... the Cerrinians knew about it too!"
Mage 3: "But all but one of them are dead!"
Mage 2: "And that guy is a soldier..."
Garrick: "Is there anyone... on this planet... ALIVE... and a threat... that can understand magic?"
Mage 1: "Uh... hmmm..."
Metal Man (GM): They begin talking amongst one another.
Traon: "It appears they don't know."
Metal Man (GM): Eventually, they come to a conclusion.
Mage 1: "...There is one! I'm sure of it!"
Garrick: "And that person is?"
Dragoshi: "...And, that is...?"
Mage 1: "Uh... we don't know. But there were some nasty monsters in the area... and... they smelled like Zio's..."
Mage 2: "But, you appear to have killed Zio... and Lashiec..."
Garrick: *freezes.*
Mage 3: "He may have had an apprentice!"
Mage 1: "Nah... it could have just been some remnants."
Garrick: "...how could you know that? How did you know about Zio... and Lashiec...?"
George Robotnik: "They all existed here, originally."
Dragoshi: "...Huh."
George Robotnik: "Our common punishment was to send criminals to Nintendus."
Garrick: "Oh, well, thanks..."
George Robotnik: "Using this..." He points behind him, at a massive ring.
Garrick: "...wait, hold on a second."
Mage 1: "It was most effective!"
Garrick: "...this thing leads to Nintendus?"
George Robotnik: "Used to..."
Dragoshi: "...Used to?"
George Robotnik: "That's why they stopped coming, after all... your Nintendus moved in space. The place where Nintendus originally existed is now the X-zone."
Garrick: "...what is it? Some sort of... magical device?"
George Robotnik: "The most magical we ever made. The elder mages of the old race constructed it from Obsidian."
Dragoshi: "...Obsidian?"
Garrick: "A rare stone..."
George Robotnik: "It was a recent attempt to exile machines into it which caused the X-zone plague on our planet."
Traon: "Obsidian... A stone as black as black?"
Mage 1: "It was our first plan... assuming we could make it work... we'd be unstoppable!"
Garrick: *hrms and moves closer to the stone.* "...if this thing CAUSED the X-Zone to come here... maybe it can take it back."
George Robotnik: "It opens portals, not closes them. The fiendish ghost of Kuja told us that."
Douglas winces.
George Robotnik: "The Elder Mages were killed by Zio, and we sent Zio into it too..."
Garrick: "Yeah, well, I've always thought I can undermine Kuja in some way."
George Robotnik: "Lashiec knew its power, but Zio used his own power to warp HIM away... All who knew its powers fully are dead."
Garrick does a quick calculation in his head. He thinks about whether, using Lighttech and the cube, it is possible to reverse engineer the ring into a device that could rid the world of the X-Zone.
Metal Man (GM): Garrick looks at the machine and all logic he throws at it explodes. He remembers that the other side device should be near Black Mesa.
Garrick: *hrms...*
Metal Man (GM): Logically it must have gone into the X-zone.
Garrick: "...I'll think more about this later. Right now, I think this is what we need to do."
George Robotnik: "So, again, we have a dilemma. Antimatter beam or Ultimate Emerald."
Garrick: "With the possibility of a Zio replacement around, the Ultimate Emerald could be used AGAINST us..."
Traon: "What do you think would be more effective?" he asks Robotnik.
George Robotnik: "That's the problem. They have the same success rate. Both sides have evaluated the others', as well as external people... same percent. ...13%."
Dragoshi: "...Only 13?"
Douglas: "Well maybe someone oughta think of a better idea."
Dragoshi: "Those are prolly' the best ones they HAVE at the moment."
Garrick: "...what about Ivo? He could probably use the MK3 to defend the place rather well."
Metal Man (GM): The Mages almost turn white. The scientists shake their heads.
Douglas taps his chin.
George Robotnik: "...Ivo has been notorious for trying to take over himself."
Garrick: "Ivo also owes us."
George Robotnik: "We sent him to your planet using the same portal you see here. An MK3 could destroy all our foes... and us as well."
Mage 1: "He hates magic, besides! The Zio-apprentice could attack any time!"
Garrick: *frowns and paces.*
Mage 2: "He said we shouldn't be allowed to make decisions!"
Scientist 1: "I offered him a solution that didn't involve takeover. He ignored it."
Scientist 3: "He is a quack. Nothing he has built has worked, except perhaps to kill people."
Garrick: "...there's several things we need to do. First, we need to go get this Ultimate Emerald. I'd also think it's a good idea to move the Seeker here. The added defense of the base would help."
George Robotnik: "So that massive ship isn't an enemy? But... what of this?"
Metal Man (GM): He shows a large round structure... MM2.
Garrick: "...that is main reason we came here. To defeat them..."
Dragoshi: "...Yep."
George Robotnik: "That is... bad. We already have the following foes."
Metal Man (GM): There is a virtual parade of bad guys. Holograms. #1 is one of those robots... #2 is Smithy's standard bot--a walking Gun. #3 is one of those insane Shadar Soldiers. #4 adds on the MM2 Supersoldier... #5 has an ? on an outline of Zio, representing a possible apprentice. #6 is Erzez.
Garrick: "...the first and most important thing we need to do is to raise our defenses."
Dragoshi: "..." *Hisses when he sees Erzez pop up.*
George Robotnik: "There are not so many machines left. Vast thousands of towers... destroyed when those #1 machines attacked."
Garrick: "We need to turn this capital into a living, breathing center of operations."
Dragoshi: *Nods.*
Scientist 1: "We have just under a thousand personnel left, most of them under guarded and starved."
Scientist 2: "We would have robots, but those magicians insisted they use their spell..."
Garrick: "We can provide what provisions we can."
Mage 1: "It stopped the first wave, didn't it?"
Scientist 1: "That ignored the other 49 waves."
Garrick: "Both of you be quiet!"
George Robotnik: "As you can see, they never agree."
Garrick: "Your petty bickering is getting us nowhere."
Mage 1: "You should have seen the other delegates, then... they're gone now!"
Garrick: *reaches into his pocket and pulls out his Dex.* "Mewtwo, come in."
Mewtwo: (Dex) "Yes?"
Garrick: "Permission to move the Seeker to a more defendable location."
Mewtwo: (Dex) "The Seeker is in no condition to move... especially since Armon's forces appear to be peaceful to us. None can attack as long as we are here."
Garrick: "Yes, but these people are in need of assistance..."
Mewtwo: (Dex) "We don't have the fuel to launch."
Garrick: "...you're telling me that the doctors only gave us enough fuel to GET here?"
Mewtwo: (Dex) "That was a feat in itself. Getting here was considered impossible before."
Garrick: *sighs.* "...fine." *shuts his Dex rather abruptly.* "Alright, guys... what's the call? Emerald or cannon?"
George Robotnik: "Who... does lead your group, anyway?"
Garrick: "Right now, our CO is Mewtwo, a creature that has incredible knowledge. The true leader is back on Nintendus."
George Robotnik: "Understandable. Now, we need a first plan... the city is safe right now, as you may know. It won't be for long. We are... 2 miles from those people who just landed. They... sent us this."
Dragoshi: "..." .oO(...?)
Ricky Koopa: (Comms) "We will occupy your pathetic city in the name of the Charles Magellean Empire. Ever since those fools betrayed their own cause, this planet belongs to us now."
Traon is just standing there, listening to everything that's going on.
Ricky Koopa: (Comms) "Long live Charles! Death to all who oppose his and Kajidoh's secret plan!"
Dragoshi: "..." *Hisses when he hears Ricky's voice.*
Ricky Koopa: (Comms) "You have one month to evacuate... or be erased."
Dragoshi: "I can't WAIT to make turtle soup out of him."
George Robotnik: "...Not a particularly nice fellow."
Traon: "And when was this sent?"
George Robotnik: "Yesterday."
Garrick: "Taking out the MM2 will not be easy."
Dragoshi: *Nods.*
Garrick: "...so, you consider the MM2 to be the most important foe as of yet?"
George Robotnik: "The most likely to attack within a close period, yes. The others have either become quiet or are busy ruining the countryside."
Garrick: "Is there any more of your people outside the town?"
George Robotnik: "They're as good as dead these days. We have a rather large population right here."
Garrick: *looks hard at Robotnik, then sighs.*
George Robotnik: "If we can make this place safe they can save the other places."
Mage 1: "Or we can activate the Ultimate emerald!"
Garrick: "Hunker down. Put up what defenses you--" *sends the Mage a piercing glare.*
Dragoshi: *Glares at the mage.*
Mage 1: "Hey, nobody appointed you to do anything. Your opinion is as good as mine! If we activated it it could protect all our cities at once!"
Garrick: "...is that so..."
Dragoshi: "...Hmph. All mere speculation."
Garrick: *slowly covers the distance between him and the mage.*
Scientist 1: "Regrettably, he may be correct."
Garrick: "...do you know what we've seen?"
Mage 1: "Yes. Why, in fact, it must look like that."
Dragoshi: "..."
Metal Man (GM): He points at... an Eldoirs walking right outside the front door... and vanishing.
Traon: "We have obtained information and such and we've been talking about alot of possibilities and what-ifs. But I have yet to hear of a solid plan. What are we going to do about the MM2 and the other problems?"
Garrick: "..." *he looks, sighs, then looks back to the mage.* "Listen to me, you little know it all. Every last one of those people that you threw through that portal got sent to our world. Every. Last. One. And we kicked their asses. Every. Last. One. If there is anyone... ANYONE... with more experience in situations like these, it's us."
Dragoshi: "...Pretty much, yea."
Garrick: "So I would think our opinions would matter." *gives him one final glare, then looks to Robotnik.*
Traon: "The air in here seems to be getting a bit stuffy to me... I'll be outside getting some air for a moment." He then heads out to get a quick breather.
Garrick: "Hunker down. We'll send what supplies we can to help you along."
Mage 1: "Well, no, sir. That would actually mean we were correct to send them to you. You just did our bidding."
Dragoshi: "..."
George Robotnik: "As much as I dislike that man's opinions, he is correct--therefore I shall have the people hunker down... and do both projects. With your help."
Garrick: "With our help."
George Robotnik: "We need you to find that emerald, so that the Zio apprentice cannot. This does not mean hysterically activate it."
Traon stands outside just kind of peering about trying to see anything out of the ordinary, but really isn't expecting anything.
George Robotnik: "In fact, it can kill several birds... it's massive! ...It can power your ship."
Garrick: "Give us a location."
George Robotnik: "The treacherous and deadly Southern Sea. 15 miles south of here. In the middle is an island... Devil Island."
Garrick: "You have the best choice in names."
George Robotnik: "The counterpart to Angel Island, it is awash in acid seawater and haunted by monsters."
Dragoshi: "...Acid seawater. ...How does that even WORK?"
George Robotnik: "The ocean was turned to acid by the same robot invading force that attacked us. So as to prevent us from just sailing away. Or flying... or even living near the coast. Even before then it was haunted by monsters. Gerald performed his experiments there."
Traon shrugs and walks back in to listen to the what's goin' on.
George Robotnik: "He took it there from the ruined Echidna shrine... intending to summon an even larger demon than they did. I don't know what happened after... he went to Nintendus. The island was abandoned."
Dragoshi: "..." .oO(A larger demon... I wonder if it still exists...)
Mage 1: "Now that the whole Gerald cult is dead, killed by machines, you can find and take it from the island."
Garrick: "Then that will be our first goal. To get the emerald and put it away safely."
Dragoshi: "..." *Nods.*
Garrick: "Then... we do what we came here to do. We take out the MM2. For good."
George Robotnik: "So it is... all right... political meeting adjourned."
Metal Man (GM): The two tables disperse. George Robotnik himself stands up, nods, and goes to a chair at the back of the room, with a desk. It's not elevated; in fact it is recessed a bit into the floor.
Garrick: *pulls out his Dex again.* "Mewtwo. Permission to send supplies to these people."
Mewtwo: (Comms) "We have almost not enough food for ourselves. We do have some supplies. We can safely send those we do not need."
Garrick: "Then do so. Also... I suggest we request more supplies and equipment to be brought via the Kuja ship."
Mewtwo: (Comms) "I shall put that through to HQ."
Garrick: "Right. If that's it, I've got work to do back at the Seeker. The cube, chips, and the Dauntless."
George Robotnik: "Understandable."
Metal Man (GM): A warp out appears from the Seeker.
