Super Smash Quest - Story - Chapter 322: Battle of the Blue Baddies

Metal Man (GM): Session Thing Zeit
Okay... remind me of your current position.
Charles Magellean silently sits on the very top of the base that resides on The Moon. He looks out into the empty void of space, occasionally looking to Nintendus when it comes into view when The Moon rotates. He has only come down once back into the base, only to empty his pockets of only the book and the ruined portable hologuise. He... contemplates on what to do with his life now.
Metal Man (GM): You stand there. Then you remember something unsettling.
The last time you tried to leave... shades of Ivan disagreeing with you... possibly being evil... somehow, that was lost.
Many other things, too. (Dang. 5 minute brb)
Charles Magellean: .oO(I remember now. The first time I left was because I was The Void's target. Ivan secret actions made me suspicious, but looking back, it was all a chaotic time.)
.oO(During those times, I was a feared man, but under the control of Haxgel when he was first created right when the Mega Mack went into my body. Even after his grip loosened, I had control of the most powerful military on Nintendus. When The Void came, it destroyed my empire. I felt devastated. I knew I had to leave. After leaving, I came back; trying to find atonement for my crimes.)
.oO(The Questers took me in again. It was then that that genome, Kuja Tribal, took over Nintendus. I tried attacking him when he approached my homeworld, but I was too arrogant to think straight. I left my emotions get the best of me. He destroyed this base from his newfound powers he got from the Glass Fortress. He then went to banish us to Turion for 10 Nintendian years.)
.oO(In the time between Smithy's Return until the Ascension of Kuja Tribal, I was notorious. Having finished off Kuja, I thought I had atoned for my malevolent deeds. I had, but at a great price.)
Ivan Robotnik (Haxgel): "Sorry if I am to disturb you, but... there's something I detected."
Charles Magellean: .oO(Haxgel was right. I am nothing more than a historical figure now. Nintendus no longer wants my presence... so here I am. I am here now, a nobody; a nobody with a Nobody residing inside me and all the energies that flow within my body since I first came to Nintendus.)
.oO(Hmm? Oh, he wants to talk. Best open my eyes.)
*He opens his eyes, slowly lifting them up.*
Ivan Robotnik (Haxgel): "A temporal rift."
Metal Man (GM): He points on a spot on the horizon. There, you see... nothing odd.
Charles Magellean: "A rip in the space-time continuum? Either you imagine it or it's beyond my range of perception."
Ivan Robotnik (Haxgel): "Not speci----"
Metal Man (GM): *SHREEEED* A huge portal appears on the horizon, where he pointed.
An old satellite, dating from the Smithy period, crashes into the ground over there, and the portal closes.
Ivan Robotnik (Haxgel): "It is nothing major, but it appears to have traveled here from the past."
Charles Magellean: "..."
Ivan Robotnik (Haxgel): "Mild readings of the device which sent it here exist. No lifeforms or active electromagnetic disturbances detected."
Charles Magellean closes his eyes again, restraining the pain of sadness that could come gushing out.
Metal Man (GM): Continuation
There it is. A crashed Smithy satellite... devoid of any real energy or purpose. From the past, it fell through time and space... to rest here.
Charles Magellean: .oO(I... owe it to him. Just... this one last favor. I can then let what remains of him in peace then.)
*He climbs down from the top of the base. He opens the fire escape that leads to the roof and goes inside, climbing down the ladder.*
F.A.Y.T.H.: "Unknown spacecraft has crashed just a mile away. No signs of life detected."
Eggman: "That is very odd... it doesn't belong in this time, for sure."
Metal Man (GM): The computers show that it had some sort of highly-powered charge on it. Something must have teleported it here.
Charles Magellean stops in front of the door that leads to outside. "It will be towed to this base eventually. Until then... prepare for hostile activity."
Ricky Koopa: "Yes sir."
Metal Man (GM): The door opens for you; the way is clear.
Charles Magellean goes through the door. After waiting for depressurization, he goes out into the moon's atmosphere, walking into the direction of the satellite. Strange; not a Lunar fiend to be found. Then again, they have been... absent for the past couple weeks.
Metal Man (GM): You eventually make it there, finding a doorway to it... sitting open. Oddly enough, the door is perfectly aligned with the ground.
It must have landed in some way, rather than just crashed.
Even odder... the satellite is pressurized.
Charles Magellean knocks on the metal plating which just inside of the satellite. He knocks it to the rhythm "Shave and a haircut..."
Metal Man (GM): No response. Merely the entryway, which leads to some rather large internal chamber on the ship.
Charles Magellean enters the entryway, slowly getting used to pressure again. He occasionally continues knocking, on the metal plating, "Shave and a haircut..."
Metal Man (GM): You enter it... and see something familiar.
Well, not quite to you, however it appears to be a modified bridge of the satellite. Smithy-brand... however.
Instead of the massive death-ray usually employed, a massive console with slots for the Triforce, a Soul Cube, a Pseudo-cube Bazooka, the emeralds, and several other things sits there, smoking.
The items are clearly gone, but when it operated, it clearly had some of them.
You also see the imprint of The Void on the wall. A burn mark in his shape; apparently he got beaten up here.
The glass on the bridge is cracked and melted; it's re-hardened with psychedelic patterns in it.
Charles Magellean: "This is... where Tridus was the host for The Void."
Metal Man (GM): Wires hang from the ceiling, having been recently modified.
One of Culex's elemental 'star' thingies is embedded into a wall and cracked.
Looking around, you see the other rooms were destroyed. This is all that survived.
Besides the navigation room. The door to which hangs on an angle, and the room behind it is dark.
It can be opened, but you can't tell what would be there.
Charles Magellean goes to the door, knocking on it with the 5 taps he's been doing repeatedly since boarding the satellite.
Metal Man (GM): No taps back.
Charles Magellean would normally leave right now, but his curiosity, combined with the fact that this satellite does not belong on his homeworld, takes hold in him over the "cautious" route. He opens the door.
Metal Man (GM): You open it. It squeaks oddly. Inside... nothing unusual. The controls have been shut down recently.
*Squeak* ... *squeak*....
Charles Magellean reaches for the door and seizes it so it stops squeaking.
Metal Man (GM): You reach for the door... and are suddenly assailed by what appears to be Ivan, holding a blue sword. He knocks your hand away and swings at you murderously.
Ivan?: "We meet again, Charles. It's about time I stopped you from meddling in my work!"
Charles Magellean shakes his hand of the numbness.
"...
Ivan?"
Metal Man (GM): His clothes date from when he was last seen on this satellite. He swings it at you rapidly. You're going to have to dodge somehow. (Freeform)
Ivan?: "Have you forgotten? Your wishes to use the White Emerald are most frivolous and foolish. You will die for your military ambitions, tyrant!"
Charles Magellean closely observes of how the sword is used. "What is that sword you hold in your hand?"
Not knowing of how Ivan is here, pulls back his arm. Using what momentum he can get from this action, he jumps backwards (not in a somersault) into the navigation room, instinctivly drawing for a weapon from a sheathe on his back, but nothing is there; he has no weapons.
Ivan?: "This sword? The culmination of my research. Using the emeralds and the relics, I forged thee... the Law Breaker!" *He holds up the blue-stone sword, then points it at Charles* "You were close to stopping me... and then you failed. Your time is up, washed up tyrant!"
Charles Magellean: "Time... Ivan, what year do you believe it is?"
Ivan?: "The year you die in!" *He lunges at Charles with the sword.*
Metal Man (GM): This Ivan reminds you more of the one who cut you off during negotiations back when.
However this doesn't seem to fit with the events immediately following, and you certainty don't remember any 'Law Breaker' swords.
Charles Magellean does nothing. He lets himself be struck, for he must face his sins.
Metal Man (GM): He lunges at you, and smiles... but when he hits you... you aren't effected.
Instead, your Nobody falls to the floor and dies. This 'Ivan' stares at you strangely.
Ivan?: "What is the meaning of this? I can't seem to hit you!" *He swings at you a couple times, before backing off. His sword flies through you, although it slashed your Nobody to ribbons.*
Charles Magellean looks to Haxgel. "...Your aim was perfect."
He looks to Ivan.
"You killed the one responsible for my actions when I was 'Charles Magellan.' This being spawned when I drank the Mega Mack. It wanted nothing more than to leave my body and do its own bidding."
Metal Man (GM): He drops his sword, looking at you sternly.
Charles Magellean: "I... must admit, I didn't know how to rid myself of the nothingness in my body."
*He looks to Mahlec.* "While you were helpful, your own puppetry is over. May you find your peace on the Farplane."
Ivan?: "True that I may have killed the inner tyrant, but you are the second act of my battle."
Charles Magellean looks back to Ivan again.
"What was the last thing you remember?"
Metal Man (GM): He looks at you, raising a brow.
Charles Magellean: "You know that if I were still your enemy, I would not be talking like this right now. You still do, though. I don't."
Ivan?: "You can tell that I've been gone for a long time, I see it in your eyes. But the path of righteousness cannot be destroyed by time." *He holds up a fist* "The Void contained with my machine... he appeared thrice, and my machine warped in Questers from all across time itself to destroy him. Once he was destroyed... I had to rebuild, and escape the Null Zone."
Charles Magellean: "Eleven years have passed, and what has happened is different from what you know."
Ivan?: "You can't change who you are; a Quester. Listen to yourself... you're corrupt with power. You are the final agent of The Void left, Locos. Haxgel may have died, but his death prevented me from finishing you off here and now. And I fear I am trapped within the boundaries of a nightmarish world... but once I obtain the Soul Cube, your time here is finished." *He begins to fade.*
Metal Man (GM): This guy's loopy, for sure. He speaks as if Haxgel never died and that you were yourself from ages ago.
Charles Magellean: "This is true, but The Void... is not a problem anymore. It has combined with its other half, thus they are a whole being again."
Ivan?: "You know not his power. He has manipulated you all into believing he is your friend... and when your back is turned, he shall succeed once and for all. Thus I have seen through the madness that is the Null Zone."
Charles Magellean: "I want to ask something unusual before we can't talk anymore. Ivan... do you know of something called 'The Time Calamity?'"
Ivan?: "What? Time Calamity? No, no... The Void plots to implode the universe. You're making no sense, as always."
Metal Man (GM): He shakes his fist at you, before beginning to fade. Hmmm. The entire satellite is fading, even.
Charles Magellean: "...Now I understand. This satellite came through a rip from the Null Zone itself.
Ivan, do you know how this satellite left the Null Zone?"
Ivan?: "No! It can't be! My device is malfunctioning, and the last of my power cells are gone. Without the soul cube, I cannot steal your energy and use you to restore my true purpose." *He begins to vanish completely* "I shall have no choice but to challenge you to come to the Null Zone and fight me yourself... if you truly claim to be a being of good, you will be unaffected by the Law Breaker!!!"
Metal Man (GM): He angrily slashes at you again, the sword swooshing without hitting you.
Then it vanishes, and he, too, disintegrates.
Charles Magellean knows that this is the last of the conversation. He exits the satellite before it vanishes.
Metal Man (GM): The satellite vanishes behind you, the rip repairing itself.
It appears the stability of this dimension is no longer vulnerable to the old ways. For his attempt to return and kill you merely hurt a being already on his plane; before then sucking him back to where he came from.
With Haxgel gone, your conscience is free of the urge to pillage, murder, or become a second Void.
One wonders if you will ever hold the Lunarian Ferranium. :p
Charles Magellean: "...One influence has been purged from my body. Now... how to get rid of the second layer of skin..."
*He goes back to his base... he looks up to Nintendus.* "Of course. Call Shadow."
Metal Man (GM): You go there.
F.A.Y.T.H.: "...We got a call from Ivan. He said he successfully closed an incoming wormhole to our dimension.
Somehow, it resisted being closed, and he commented that 'It did much like what I would have done' but otherwise it was a routine dimensional maintenence action."
Charles Magellean: "It came from the Null Zone."
F.A.Y.T.H.: "Odd. Well, it won't be coming back. The only reason it got through was due to it using an unpredictable frequency. It registered as one of Ivan's own machines. Only when it began to erratically slow down did it pick up as an unwanted incursion.
It happened when something from the portal collided with something outside of it."
Charles Magellean: "We shall consider the matter closed then. Now, I have an important task. I want to be able to contact the black hedgehog Shadow. Will you do this for me?"
F.A.Y.T.H.: "He seems to have changed his number and hid it. He cited 'prank calls' for the reason. Not even Ivan can reach him anymore."
Charles Magellean: "I do not want irrelevant information. Will you do this or not?"
F.A.Y.T.H.: "I cannot."'
Charles Magellean: "Then I move to the next part."
*He thinks what to say.
* "I--want---the three of you------to find a way to----purge---the chaos energy that------is kept in a person's body."
Eggman: "No problem. I'll get to work on it immediately."
F.A.Y.T.H.: "We should have a working model soon, then."
Ricky Koopa: "Aye aye."
Metal Man (GM): They begin scrambling.
It appears they're making some sort of device or procedure to remove the offending energy.
Charles Magellean: "I will be above again." *He climbs the top of the ladder, unlocking the fire hatch. He closes it, walks to the top of the base, and sits down cross-legged. He begins to silently look out to the vastness of nothingness again; Nintendus's view out of his sight.*
.oO(One step closer... but one step farther away, too. Can it be done?)

Metal Man (GM): El Mission De La Broken Spanish
That glitch is irritating.
You're all in the Big room, as usual.
Digifanatic: "Good day, everybody..."
Metal Man (GM): Metal sits at the very same chair, looking over the specifics.
Trigger: "Hello everyone."
Julian Sawyer's got his feet up "What's the word, Mets?"
Alexia: "So what do we have to do this time?"
Dragoshi: "...So, what's the word on this one?"
Trigger: "Do we go dumpster diving today?"
Digifanatic: "Huh?"
Alexia: "Ewww..."
Trigger: "...Don't you remember that mission, you know, under the HQ?"
Digifanatic: "Yeah yeah yeah yeah... I just had no idea what you were referring to."
Alexia: *Blank stare.*
Trigger: "Oh."
Dragoshi: "Heh."
Digifanatic: "Anyways, folks..."
Metal Man: "This is a doozy of a thing, here."
Digifanatic: "Moving on."
Trigger: "A huge dumpster?"
Dragoshi: "And that doozy is...?"
Metal Man: "Some sort of flying... person... is terrorizing Toad Town."
Trigger: "...That is kinda a doozy..."
Metal Man: "I don't care what you do, but he's already made the rounds, snatching strange objects and blowing things up."
Digifanatic: "Oh boy. That place again."
Julian Sawyer: "So alls we gotta do is find some flyin' weirdo an' beat 'em down?"
Alexia: "Boy, Toad Town always seems to get the maniacs..."
Digifanatic: "Yeah."
Trigger: "Yep."
Dragoshi: "...Eh. I've heard of bigger dooz-...Though, the strange objects thing is peculiar."
Digifanatic: "Telling me, Alexia..."
Metal Man: "He's more likely to find you, as he's been seen chasing anyone he felt threatened by. I'd show you a picture, but he's destroyed any camera which got a decent picture of him."
Julian Sawyer: "So he's easy to find."
Digifanatic: "Oh, yikes."
Alexia: "No prob."
Metal Man: "Yes. The explosions are easy to hear."
Dragoshi: "...Yeesh."
Julian Sawyer: "Easy enough."
Digifanatic: "Well, we've dealt with freaks in that place before."
Trigger: "Like who?"
Digifanatic: "This isn't much different! Believe you weren't there, but there was some guy that kept destroying some Toad's house."
Julian Sawyer: "An' Panzer."
Digifanatic: "Panz is back?"
Alexia: "Panzer who?"
Trigger: "Sniper chick."
Dragoshi: "...Kept destroying some toad's house? Was that the one with the guy that ate things?"
Digifanatic: "Yeah!"
Julian Sawyer: "That I almost paid 20K to shoot Trigger's knee out."
Digifanatic: "That's it!"
Trigger: "...Yeah, good times."
Digifanatic: "Uh oh, what happened then?"
Alexia: "Uh, guys, we should probably head out."
Trigger: "Ok."
Digifanatic: "Yeah."
Dragoshi: "...Yep."
Metal Man: "Anyway, the warp machine is online."
Julian Sawyer: "We was fightin' cubes an'...Good point. Let's go, people!" *Julian gets up and heads for the elevator.*
Metal Man points to it, as the warp elevator activates.
Digifanatic: "Right."
Alexia enters the elevator.
Digifanatic follows Julian in.
Trigger walks in the elevator.
Dragoshi enters elevator.
Azure appears mysteriously in the elevator from the side of the room. 0.0
Digifanatic: "Oh, hey..."
Julian Sawyer: "...Man, EVERYONE a ninja these days."
Digifanatic: "Or at least it seems like it."
Metal Man (GM): *WARP* *WARP* *WARP* *WARP* etc.
Y'all appear in the center of Toad Town. Everything seems pea--- forget that. The already wrecked town hall suddenly EXPLODES as a heavily armored man riding a levitating platform flies through it.
Digifanatic: "That didn't take long..."
???: "Ahah! The Questers! Ahah! Ahah! Ahahaaahahahahaaaaaa!!!!!"
Alexia: "HOLY CRIPES ON TOAST!"
Metal Man (GM): He flies at all of you. Better move!
Dragoshi: "...Well, didn't expect to find him THAT quickly." *Chuckles.*
Alexia jumps to the side quickly.
Digifanatic: "Just run!"
Metal Man (GM): His platform has spinning blades on its edge; nasty things to be hit by.
Azure: "Toad town and explosions..." *Sighs.* *Attempts to sidestep.*
Dragoshi dashes to the side. Or tries to.
Julian Sawyer dodgerolls to the side! "A'ight, this may be a lil' harder than I though..."
Metal Man (GM): You all fly out of the way. He swivels around and faces you again.
???: "To what purpose have you come here?"
Julian Sawyer: "To stop yo' crazy fuckin' ass from destroyin' Toad Town!"
Dragoshi: "..." *Waits for someone else to answer.*
Digifanatic: *Mumbling* "Well, there is a certain amount of truth to that..."
Metal Man (GM): He stares at Julian, and then laughs.
???: "Yes, you would want that, wouldn't you? But I am no idiot... to fight you immediately would be too much of a victory. I shall make you work hard for such a chance!"
Alexia: "I didn't think you'd come quietly..."
Metal Man (GM): He then brandishes his right arm, which the elbow of it flaps around both forward and backwards in an inhuman way.
Julian Sawyer: "So what's stoppin' us from takin' you down right NOW? You got a teleporter or somethi-DAYMN!"
Dragoshi: "...Of course. The obligatory overconfident villian..."
Metal Man (GM): Then the platform rockets, and while still facing you, he rockets off backwards.
Digifanatic: "Of course."
Metal Man (GM): Through a couple houses and such.
Julian Sawyer: "That looks downright pain-HEY!"
Azure: "Correct. Little substance or style."
Alexia: "..."
???: "You're going to have to catch me. Come and follow me!"
Julian Sawyer dashes after him!
Digifanatic: "Alright..."
Alexia races after the guy.
Digifanatic starts to run...
Metal Man (GM): He is flying away at just a little faster than a comfortable running speed for all of you.
Dragoshi: "...Well, if you say so..." *Starts running as well.*
Azure: *Sighs* "Let's move..." *Removes his hood and takes off*
Metal Man (GM): Thus you are able to continually chase him... buuut... he must have something up his double-jointed elbow!
???: "You accuse me of no substance, but I... am made of nothing but it. Come and get me!"
Metal Man (GM): He brandishes the same backwards-forwards elbow at Julian.
You can leap at him with a STR check, or perhaps use something else, should you choose.
Alexia: *Thinking* "Laser pistol... no... Mindblast'd take too long... can't jump that far..."
Azure: "To admit you are all substance is just nothing more than talk." *He says as he continues his pace ready to send a nice raging dragon of earth this guys way.*
Alexia: "Uh, Azure, maybe you should take him literally?"
Julian Sawyer: "...Whatever." *Julian removes his fedora, and launches it at the guy's jets, intending to sever his fuel lines! Hat Trick returns!*
Metal Man (GM): Roll it.
You hit him once, twice... three times.
Digifanatic: "Good move!"
Dragoshi: "Good job, Julian."
Metal Man (GM): He's mildly dented. However, he laughs in a good favored way.
???: "Yes. Do that again! Show me your true powers, fools!"
Metal Man (GM): He ricochets back and forth some more, making him harder to hit now.
Azure: "The last time someone said that..."
Metal Man (GM): Also, he sprays lasers at all of you.
Digifanatic: .oO(Arrogant neo-punk garbage villains...)
Metal Man (GM): 15 damage per hit, threatens everyone.
Dragoshi evades them ALL.
Julian Sawyer catches his Fedora, then dodges, ducks, dips, dives, and... dodges the lasers!
Digifanatic is zapped twice.
???: "You're nothing more than a bunch of policemen!"
Azure pulls a mystical spirit chant just dispersing them away from him as he continues running after him.
Digifanatic: "That have actually saved this entire planet more than once!"
Julian Sawyer: "...Wait a second... Show me your moves... lasers... MAX! Is that you?"
Alexia gets hit three times, but shakes it off and continues running.
Dragoshi: "...Hmph. wait, who?"
Alexia: "Max?"
???: "Who's that? Someone else foolish like you?"
Julian Sawyer: "Nevermind, just a guess."
???: "I am all I am. You are just confused!" *Brandishes his elbow of d00m.*
Digifanatic: "Oh, okay."
Metal Man (GM): He floats over a pit... uh-oh! SPD check. There's a pit in the way.
SPD check for jumping. (The skill no longer exists)
Julian Sawyer: *Jumpa JUMP.*
Dragoshi incase he fails, he attempts to FLY.
Julian Sawyer: *While jumping, Julian reaches into his vest... It's a beer bottle! BRB.*
Metal Man (GM): The jumping, also, seems to be plenty good. *CRIT* He's smacked by the beer bottle.
???: "How dare you... hitting me with your attacks like that! I am far superior!"
Julian Sawyer: "So's been alotta people! An' I took THEM out too!"
Metal Man (GM): He's smacked... his platform begins shorting.
Azure: *As Azure lands his hands tap the earth unleashes the raw might of the ground below sending up a raging dragon of earth toward this being.*
Alexia: "Whoa. "
Dragoshi: "Feh..." *Attempts to fire off an Ice Tornado at the odd man.*
Digifanatic has no idea how close he is to this freakish villain but the guy will launch a Fire Punch at him anyways...
Metal Man (GM): He falls off... landing in the sand. Digi punches his platform.
You're, like, right at the beach by Atlantis.
Damage, Digi?
He stands up, as the platform is blasted off... and laughs.
Dragoshi: "...Heh. ...Well, what's so funny now?"
Julian Sawyer shuts him up by launching into the air as soon as he falls off, and coming down on him with a Shockwave Punch!
Azure: *slips his hands into his nexus gauntlets and knuckle up before he leaps in the air and comes slamming down at him with a raging fist.*
Digifanatic might as well continue attacking... he tries smacking his golf club against the metallic guy...
Dragoshi assists in this massacre by swiping at the enemy with his claws.
Metal Man (GM): Enough; he's been clearly incapacitated.
Dragoshi: "...Okay." (11 for the swipe)
Digifanatic: "Okay, I think that'll do..."
Metal Man (GM): He stands up, having taken your beatings, and then begins morphing.
Dragoshi: "...Nice unison attacks, though."
???: "You fools... I intentionally let you hit me... so I could steal your attack data!"
Julian Sawyer: "...Back up! He's doin' somethi-GODDAMMIT I KNEW IT!"
Azure: "That's why I used my weakest attacks."
Dragoshi: "...Son of a sidewinder. ...Good thing I only used two attacks..."
Digifanatic smacks himself on the side of the head...
Azure: "I believe everyone saw that as you blurted it out."
Alexia: "And that's why I held back.
Geez, you guys need to use your head instead of your knuckles on occasion."
Dragoshi: "As did I, Azure. Well, weakest ATTACKS."
Metal Man (GM): He shifts before morphing into a far more well-known form.
Metal Sonic.
Julian Sawyer: "Hey, Alexia, I didn't exactly hear you voicin' any objection."
Dragoshi: "...Metal Sonic? What the HELL?"
Julian Sawyer: "...That's outta left field."
Alexia: "...Oh, crap."
Azure: "Alexia it was apparent. The attacks I used on him where nothing more than physical force and a slight array of something that is already constantly changing." *He goes back into his red lotus stance.*
Dragoshi: "...Yea, seriously. Well, at least that explains the indignant superiority thing."
Digifanatic: "Okay..."
Azure: "That... was not expected however..."
Dragoshi pulls out his scythe, ready for combat.
Alexia ducks down into a battle stance.

Alexia pulls out her Dex and scans Metal Sonic.

Metal Man (GM): He sits there as it misses.
Then counters and proceeds to swing a beer bottle at Julian.

Trigger jumps back up and punches the HELL out of Metal Sonic with a smash attack.

Azure's spirit charms float around him in a 360 rotation before floating up in the air and fly across the field in a straight line. They reach the metal sonic knockoff and began to orbit around him shimmering in light. The spirit charms instill an image of this beings form in azure's third eye. He then takes out his smash dex. A floating spirit charm appears above the dex and streamlines the image. The results... are either another error... or some progress... (True sight+Smashdex) Azure also moves back 3 spaces after this. (End turn)
Metal Man (GM): Your true sight determines moreso than the smash dex.
You see... this is a doppelganger with relatively low HP but insanely high attack power.
Dragoshi: "...Good job."
Azure: "This being... seems to be here to do nothing more than fool us all. It is a doppelganger fiend. And like one who pulls a veil over our eyes it wishes to hide it can't possibly live very long. But... beware it has an very high attack potential. The reason our attacks seem to be stronger."
Metal Man (GM): Metal Sonic
He advances to Azure using not one but 2 TP, and uses his last TP to hurl Ice Tornadoes at him.
10 damage each, and daze (temporary freezing) but that only makes the second one hit if the first one did; otherwise it wears off in time for his next round.
Azure braces for the impact as both hit dead on his body seemingly becomes slightly enclosed in ice restricting his movement. His sight becoming dazed.
Digifanatic decides to take Azure's advice, surprised that he wasn't the one being attacked, but realizes he has a long way to cover... he moves 4 units back and slides back into Metal Sonic all of a sudden with an Icy Kick.
Dragoshi: "...That was a pathetic, toned done version of my own attack, you stupid faker..." *He uses 1 TP to to move two units towards Metal Sonic, then proceeds to swipe at him with his scythe thrice.*
Metal Man (GM): Miss miss miss
Alexia: "Time for a little more firepower."

*Azure brings his hands up and clasps them together as that seal below him is called from again.* "Wind Dragon... Ice Dragon... Thunder Dragon. Doppelganger I'll show you just how far your copying will go." The winds around azure seem to gather and rage seeming far too familiar for those that experienced it the past. However those mysterious beings that empowered him do not stand at his side.*
"Wind Dragon Go!" *He casts his hand forward sending a spiraling tornado of wind toward metal sonic setting the stage for the power of the two remain. "Merge..." the lightning and ice dragons become one as things get a bit chilly "Go!" he says moving his hands in an intricate pattern. "Judgement Blizzard Dragon!" the force of the two wind dragon and the power of the two combined dragons surge forward for one explosive three strike showdown. Metal Man (GM): He then summons what appears to be a Wraith stone fashioned like a chaos emerald and targets Alexia with it, red crosshairs appearing on her.

Metal Sonic: "Target acquired. Ultimate destruction ray: ACTIVATED!"

Trigger sprints toward Lex and tries to push here out of the line of fire.

*then raises his hand as the swirling vortex forms a ball in his hand. Which then fires off a streaming beam of energy that disappears at one point reappearing at another striking at Rathos in a massive light blue and white colored energy.*
Metal Man (GM): He's hit again, knocked back, and then fires a MASSIVE PHAZON BOMB into Trigger.
It explodes in a massive shockwave which effects everyone within 3 units of Trigger.
Trigger gets caught in the blast.
Metal Man (GM): 75 damage.
Then he suddenly attacks again, attempting to punch him.
This is to balance out Trigger's erroneous second attack.

Metal Man (GM): Being attacked repeatedly on all sides, Rathos powers up and unleashes outward-traveling waves which threaten everybody.

Digifanatic downs a Mushroom and then proceeds to launch a Fire Lunge at Rathos...

Metal Man (GM): He's momentarily stunned, then attacks Dragoshi with a furious trio of shotgun blasts.

He ducks under them and turns around, opening fire on Trigger with the shotgun.

An element dragons all gather forming over Azure's head.* "Council or no council I will act now..." *He was still in range for this last strike with all he could muster. * "Elemental Surge Dragon!" *each point around a forming star under azure lit up as four dragons streaked forward through the air toward Rathos their elements all fusing into one massive mesh of power.*
Metal Man (GM): Then that thing hits him.
Trigger runs up 2 spaces (1 TP) and fires a fist point blank at Rathos.
Metal Man (GM): Hit repeatedly, thrown around, he finishes his charging and ducks under Trigger's punch...
Then lifts him up with his arm cannon... so as to fire point blank.
Dragoshi: *...Runs as many spaces as it'd take to get to Rathos, and fires one last Ice Tornado before he attacks.*
Digifanatic still has to move up a few units just to stay in the fight... about 3 TP?
Metal Man (GM): He points at Dragoshi and fires.

Dragoshi: "...Not to be stupid, but...Oh, NEVERMIND. That'd just be inane. Seriously, that'd just be stupid, a person being a living key..." *He then catches up to Rathos, and attempts to hit him with the Indignation powered scythe.*
Valentine Kilmer: "Enough of this fighting. On both sides. This is quite the the useless battle."
Metal Man (GM): He dodges the attack.

Metal Man (GM): He points to where Metal Sonic was, but who apparently escaped, yet again. Just like him to do so.
Digifanatic: "He had it?"
Valentine Kilmer: "It only killed the one it threatened. I demand a crease in fight."
Dragoshi: "...You're pointing at a blank spot..."
Julian Sawyer: "Rathos, haven't you openly declared your intent to kill us multiple times? Why should we believe you suddenly renounced those claims to help us find this damn temple?"
Metroid Rathos: "He was attacking you. I couldn't talk to you with him around. Renounced? No. I merely believe we have a common interest."
Dragoshi: "...Fine. If that is the case" *Puts his scythe away.*
Digifanatic is still needing another turn to continue moving up... (4 units left, miss out on a second turn)
Dragoshi: "I really apologize for that." *Dusts himself off slightly.*
Metroid Rathos: "You believe yourselves to be superior than me, the combination of the ultimate fighting monster and the ultimate thinking being. Rather than show yourselves dumb by attacking a vastly stronger opponent to the point of death... Why not defeat me at challenges in the Nintendo Temple?"
Azure: *Finally makes his way over to them.*
Dragoshi: "...Sounds like a magnificent idea."
Valentine Kilmer: "This is merely the foolish behavior I warned you Questers about."
Editor's Note: *Rolls back the tape and looks* Oh right, Rathos hid what he was there for, then attacked Trigger and killed Trigger for resisting. Not exactly foolish behavior to assume he was out to kill them. So no, Val. You're just wrong, and you should try not gaslighting people into thinking they did something wrong, AKA an entire era of SSQ where people ignored actual ill deeds in favor of finding false reasons to indict the Questers for things they didn't get wrong. A really annoying pattern that began around this time in SSQ history and ended with the Tea Party from Hell in CONFRONTATION.
Dragoshi: "...Then again... We still haven't found any keys..."
Metroid Rathos: "Of course, having been viciously attacked, you had to pay a small price. Mostly that man's life, and the fact I will not renounce my blood feud with you, merely declare a truce in order to help open the temple. People are keys. Their presence activates the requisite things.

Valentine Kilmer: "No, Dragoshi. We have found one key. It's in front of us."
Digifanatic: "...Wha??? People?"
Dragoshi: "...Hmm... I suppose a truce would be okay."
Metroid Rathos: "You are the key to open the temple; I open the Metroid challenge."
Digifanatic: "No... way."
Dragoshi: "Yes. People. Didn't you hear him the first bloody time?"
Digifanatic: "Just weird."
Julian Sawyer: "First, Trigger wasn't a big loss. Secondly... This sounds like some kinda elaborate plot to lure us into a trap."
Metroid Rathos: "Then it would be the hologram, not me, at fault."
Dragoshi: .oO(...And I meant ASIDE from Rathos on the key thing...)
Julian Sawyer: "An' I recall you attackin' him just the same as all of us, Dragoshi."
Valentine Kilmer: "What do you wish to gain from this?" *She looks at Rathos.*
Metroid Rathos: "If I win the challenges, the temple will give me the ultimate power. If you win, you get them.
If you're as good as you think you are, then you should be able to beat me, however I do not believe that as possible."
Valentine Kilmer: "...I see. When if it's alright with the Questers, I believe we have a deal."

Julian Sawyer: "Bleh bleh bleh." *Julian makes the universal gesture for 'You Talk Too Much' while heading into the warp.*
Dr. Mario: "This is my most frequent customer, it seems. Allow-a me!"
Dragoshi: "...Sure thing man" *Drops Trigger.*
Metal Man (GM): He attaches Trigger's body to an electrical outlet, and the other end to a 1-up mushroom.
Digifanatic just walks over to Metal for now...
Metal Man (GM): He confiscates half of Trigger's coins for himself before then activating the contraption, shocking Trigger back to life.
Digi reaches Metal.
Valentine Kilmer: "This must be Dr. Mario. I've heard rumors of him."

Metal Man: "Mewtwo and Oak are with us, however when you mean other realms, I think dimensions."

Julian Sawyer: "Also, what the hell is WITH YOU? First you're jus' a normal guy with a robot arm, then you're from Castlevania, then you're from Resident Evil, an' NOW you're some kinda MegaMan ripoff."
Metal Man: "Within this dimension, yes, we can always ask for some help."
Valentine Kilmer: "Julian is right. You'll be fighting it head on. And there is no continue."

Digifanatic: "That is, of course, if they qualify as keys."
Valentine Kilmer: "Don't threaten people like that. I just enrages them to kill you. But I'm sure you know that by now."

Metal Man: "Ah, yes, Digi. I shall make a mission for that. Thanks for the suggestion."

Dragoshi: *But before doing so, he walks to R&R instead to get his mind off things...*
Julian Sawyer: "...They'se leavin' Val."

Digifanatic: "Were you guys wondering about the temple thing?"
Valentine Kilmer: "Julian. What do you think of these keys?"
Digifanatic: "'Cause all I did was tell Metal about my idea regarding getting the guys like Mewtwo and Link to help them, hoping they were the keys we need."
Valentine Kilmer: "Actually, I have a better idea. How did the Metroid know it was a key?"

Valentine Kilmer: "And put duct tape over Trigger's mouth if you can. I don't feel like provoking out of sheer stupidity."

Julian Sawyer: "Nah, he can go ahead an' get hisself killed an' outta our hair."

Digifanatic: "I was a bit ticked off as well when I found out that Rathos knew about it."
Valentine Kilmer: "I'd like to keep him at least as a human shield, Julian."
Julian Sawyer: "So we drag his body wit' us."
Digifanatic: "Anyways, Valentine, about the keys?"
Valentine Kilmer: "I'll keep that to myself. No use giving out information that could lead us on a wild goose chase."
Digifanatic: "Okay. I won't pressure you. If you fear that, I will not put you in a hot seat."
Valentine Kilmer: "I have one last hint for you two though. Next time something wants to talk and not fight, don't keep attacking. Even more so when it's overpowering you."
Digifanatic: "I believe that."
Valentine Kilmer: "And if you did win, our key would have been lost."
Julian Sawyer: "Tell that to Trigger's stupid ass again."
Editor's Note: He has sort of a half-point, Trigger was the one who kept fighting... even though Metroid Rathos was making to basically kill him from the start, so I don't think victim blaming is the solution either.
Digifanatic makes sure to remember that.
Valentine Kilmer: "Hmm. Can I trust you on a job then, Julian?"
Digifanatic: "I'll do it... No need to get those two in another argument."
Julian Sawyer: "I done heard enougha' that, an' I got a counterpart to it: When something wants to fight and not talk, you best FIGHT IT. Too many times ya'll tried to talk to a crazy person when it was attackin' us. What's the job?"
Valentine Kilmer: "Since talking isn't your forte, how about you just make sure Trigger doesn't get us in trouble? Including knocking him out when he's about to do something that could get us killed."
Julian Sawyer: "Can't. He's in the CAL, I'd get my ranked knocked down...'less gives me a permit or somethin'."
*Opens Metal's door* "HEY! METAL!"
Digifanatic: "I think he's busy."
Valentine Kilmer: "I'll look into that matter then..."
Digifanatic: *Deep exhale* "Yeah, well, things happen... Yes they do, yes they do..."
Valentine Kilmer: "Everything went as planned today anyways. Even if I had to intervene."
Digifanatic: "Like I said, I think we were all a bit annoyed when we found out that Rathos knew of the temple."
Valentine Kilmer: "Actually, I'm quite relieved."
Digifanatic: "Guy had to let off some steam, cause with him knowledgeable about these kinds of things, and he just happened to pay a bit of a price. I can't blame him.
If I was him, I would have done the same thing...
Right. All this talk about Trigger has queried me about those Phoenix things..."
Valentine Kilmer: "But you're not and he needs to learn to control himself."
Digifanatic: "Yeah... I need some items.

Valentine Kilmer: "I best be on my way too. If you're looking to get items from Ninja, He's in the kitchen getting ready to deliver an order. " *She then goes to the corner of the room, takes out her laptop and begins typing away.*
Digifanatic: "Oh, yeah... I'll think about that."
*He goes to the item vending machine and makes sure to get a Phoenix Down before anything else... then he talks to Ninja.*
Valentine Kilmer seems to be throwing things into a bag getting ready to head off to wherever.
Digifanatic: "Hey! I've heard that you're making propositions on some interesting stuff."
The Ninja: "Hmm? Ah! Digi. But of course... What is it you seek?"
Digifanatic: "Well, what do you have?"
The Ninja: "Ninja Burger Combo #2!" *Holds up the sack.*
Digifanatic: "And that is? Like, does it heal? Got a poison bomb in it that you chuck?"
The Ninja: "Oh. You want items. Though your were hungry."
Digifanatic: "I still appreciate it, though."
The Ninja: "I have Holy Grapes then." *Pulls out a grapes that's roughly the size of a baseball.*
Digifanatic: "But yeah, I hear that you make a good profit or so on various things, I'm just curious as to what you've got. Ah yes... man those are huge!
Aren't those what revived Aetos? Remember, I wasn't there..."
The Ninja: "They heal, have aura against evil things and keep you from dying from big it, but only once. I don't remember, but I used them against Mr. Robotnik."
Digifanatic: "Hey, sounds like a plan. How much do you sell a piece?"
The Ninja: "30,000 coins."
Digifanatic: "Oh, okay..." *Checks his account* I'll take two."
" *He gives Ninja the 60K.*
The Ninja takes the money and gives Digi two Holy Grapes.
"Sorry to sell and run, but I must be elsewhere." *And with that, he flips through the wall.*
Digifanatic: "Such an interesting set of people..."
*He takes the grapes and heads back to his room, cleaning out nearly half his money, but very well spent...
