Super Smash Quest - Story - Chapter 410: Master Hand Difficulties
Date: November 3rd, 2007.
Trivia: Kamui missed this mission because his dog savagely bit his arm.
Metal Man (GM): The Questers have reached HQ by now, with Metal Man having gone deeper inside. Well. Somewhat. He's gotten as far as the Bigger Room when he encounters... Snake. The Questers are also there. He points at Snake, who is standing in the way of the elevator up.
Metal Man: "I have very specific business with Master Hand, and you are to get out of my way."
Alex Fender: "HEY! MAN IN THE TIGHT, TIGHT PANTS!!"
Digifanatic: .oO(This should be... not gonna say good.)
Alex Fender: *leaps clear over Metal, landing in front of Snake, looking somewhat pissed...* "WHERE IS MY AX?!"
Snake: "Why would I let you up there? You're not staff anymore. In fact, you are yourself wanted for charges of embezzling. ..." *Walks around Alex like he isn't there.*
Alex Fender: "Hey... he turned into a neato elevator door... that's cool..."
Metal Man: "It is irrelevant, I was the administrator, and the money went to a good cause."
Snake: "I'm not going to let you in anyway. For all we know, you could be a spy. And I wasn't appointed by Master Ha--"
Metal Man: "AHAH! That is it. You're one of his cronies, aren't you?"
Aribar enters the big room, wondering what's going on... The elf's been absent for the past couple of missions due to some personal issues, and now... Metal's here? And arguing with Snake? Odd..*
Valentine Kilmer: "I would like to know if this is a good idea, Metal Man."
Snake: "I do not work that way. I simply have a job to do."
Metal Man: "I must sue Master Hand and bring an end to the chaos he is causing by randomly sending Questers on errands which disrupt reality. However, I have to physically get past this ma--"
Digifanatic: .oO(Typical Metal... kinda!)
Snake: "And I must stop you from getting past me. You can't just sue a higher entity like that."
Metal Man: "Oh yes I can!"
Dragoshi: "...Actually, he can."
Snake: "Good for you, but I'm not going to let you. It's in my job description."
Metal Man: "Hmm... normally I'd just shoot people, but that wouldn't look good..."
Metal Man (GM): He turns to the Questers.
Alex Fender: "Is it in your job description to tell me where my AX is?!?!"
Metal Man: "What should I do?"
Aribar: "... Wait... What's the Master Hand doing to us?"
Alex Fender: *is still fuming, having figured out that Snake is NOT the elevator door.*
Snake: *Turns to Alex* "I don't know where your 'ax' is, I am not a quartermaster. Why're you acting so weird?"
Chancé: .oO(I need a recap of what I missed before I can say anything. >>)
Digifanatic: "He means his guitar."
Alex Fender: "Cause I want my baby! She's gone... I feel so cold without her..."
Digifanatic: "It's a nickname, sir."
Valentine Kilmer: "Well, I may have an idea, Metal Man."
Snake: "I don't know where any guitars are either. I am not in charge of those..." *He puts a hand to his face and shakes his head slowly* "What did I ever deserve to get in a situation like this?"
Chancé: "Basically, his ax equals your Box."
Alex Fender: "Hey! Don't blame yourself! Or me! It's those damn tight pants that are doing this too you!"
Metal Man: "Master Hand illegally re-established the Questers and are now using them to randomly distort reality in some grand play of his. However, I'm onto it, and knowing its illegality, plan to shut it down. But I have to give him the summons myself, because nobody else volunteered."
Aribar: "How are we distorting reality? So far we've rescued some AI capsules from space pirates, fought Ganondorf, Bowser, and other people.."
Metal Man: "Unless one of you guys would--"
Snake: "I would not suggest doing that."
MCV_Driver: "Solid Snake. If you allow Metal Man in, the questers will follow and make sure he doesn't do anything hostile."
Dragoshi: "Well, I could volunteer. I mean, hey. I have insane amounts of free time."
Alex Fender: *weird voice* "Solid." *puts up fist.*
Valentine Kilmer: "The weird one can stay with you."
Snake: "But a lawsuit IS something hostile. Especially a nonsensical one. Metal Man can't just tell Master Hand how to run his stadium."
Valentine Kilmer: "It's more civil than fighting."
Metal Man: "Pish posh. He should have thought about that when he delegated so much power to Wolfman in the first place."
Alex Fender: "And usually gives you money!"
Valentine Kilmer: "Maybe we can come to an agreement without suing or fighting."
Dragoshi: "Well, I doubt it... But, hey, it could be possible." :/
Digifanatic: "I suppose."
Alex Fender: "*I* know what we need to do!"
Dragoshi: "Okay. what?"
Metal Man: "You mean the part when I tell the Questers to stop because they are damaging the universe by doing jobs for heroes who ought to be doing them, and then the Questers decide to follow me to HQ so I can sue Master Hand?"
Alex Fender: "Nothing settles big arguments better than a tasty jam!"
Snake: "I don't see how toast is going to solve ambiguous and insane legal charges."
Metal Man: "Toast... toast solves everything!!!"
Alex Fender: "...DAMN YOU AND YOUR TIGHT PANTS!"
Chancé: "How about they talk first." .oO(Then Sue.)
Alex Fender: "A song, a tune, a ditty! Rockin' out, old school!"
Valentine Kilmer: "Maybe it would be best not to explain everything before hand, Metal Man."
Metal Man: "But... then I feel like I'm lying."
Valentine Kilmer: "You could not say anything."
Metal Man: "I guess."
Snake: "That still won't get him in here... unless you have a really good reason. If I just let him in, Master Hand will definitely fire me."
Alex Fender: "Finding my ax is a good reason."
Valentine Kilmer: "I have a reason."
Dragoshi: *To Snake, in complete apathy* "...So?"
Aribar just stands off to the side, now wondering... Contemplating to himself out loud..* "Why would Master Hand bring here anyways... Hm... The Void's defeated after all..."
Snake: "He told me specifically how a man named 'Metal Man' mucked up the job before me. And now that man is here, trying to muck things up yet again."
Dragoshi: "Muck up? ..." *Snickers for a few seconds...*
Alex Fender: "...I thought Metal Man was the guy who saved the world, but then was going to destroy the world, then decided to destroy the universe?"
Snake: "He thought he could save the entire universe, when in reality he was going deeper and deeper into an illusion made by an extradimensional entity."
Valentine Kilmer: "Seems you make quite the impression, Metal Man."
Alex Fender: "Deep."
Metal Man: "Well, I did sit behind a desk and issue orders for nearly 20 years straight."
Dragoshi: "That's not really mucking things up, though..."
Snake: "Naturally, all of us were fooled back then, but he was the only one insane enough to try to use Questers to solve problems way above their heads. I was put here to ensure the Questers stick to the basics, and important objectives: protecting the Stadium."
Valentine Kilmer: "Are you going by what they told you, Snake?"
Aribar: "... Protect the stadium? But... We've gone on quite a few offensive missions that go a bit beyond that objective.."
Snake: "Of course. Otherwise I wouldn't have any purpose of being here, as I could be doing missions elsewhere..."
Valentine Kilmer: "Do you have proof that what they tell you is true?"
Metal Man: "Ahah! See? He's already sending you on world-altering offensive missions, and putting heroes away from their traditional work areas."
Snake: "Master Hand has shown to me very specifically what happened to the universe, a view no one else but high level Brawl Stadium executives would be allowed to see. It shows conclusively that people like Metal Man tried to be more than they really were, and made a mess in the process. Not immediately obvious, but I can give you a hint. Right after Smithy. With the being named Charles."
Valentine Kilmer: "... A word with you, Metal Man."
Metal Man: "Pft. Your version is probably in some imaginary world. If that was all true, why didn't he show me it?"
Metal Man: "Hmph." *He turns to Valentine* "Yes?"
Valentine Kilmer: "What did happen to Charles?"
Metal Man: "He was killed by The Void. I attempted to save him from evil for many consecutive campaigns, but he only became more and more insane."
Trigger walks over to everyone. "Hello."
Snake: *In a weary tone* "Hello."
Digifanatic: "Yeah. Charles was not your typical Quester... and hey, Trigger."
Aribar: "Greetings, Trigger... You've come into the middle of an... Interesting argument."
Snake: "According to the Master Hand, he was never a real Quester."
Trigger: "What about?"
Snake: "He started out life as a person given Quester status but not acting like one..."
Valentine Kilmer: "Then you should have gotten rid of him when he turned insane."
Snake: "Then progressed to being a double-agent... Until he became absolutely insane and killed lots of people."
Metal Man: "I know, however he proved elusive, and made many devices to save himself from the Questers. I only tried to turn him back, because he was making it exceedingly hard to kill him otherwise."
Valentine Kilmer: "Alright. So no questers or Metal Man are allowed to see Master Hand, correct Snake?"
Snake: "The Questers are allowed. Metal Man technically shouldn't be in this building at all."
Alex Fender: "...theeeeeen what if we went and asked MH what the dealio is?"
Aribar: "... Metal, do you have a Smash Dex still?"
Metal Man: "Hmph. Ungrateful for how I got The Void killed, as usual." *He shakes his head* "I'll get my court case yet."
Alex Fender: "And then came back here. Like a middle man sorta thing."
Metal Man takes out an oddly upgraded one. "Do I? Technically, I have the most advanced one going."
Valentine Kilmer: "Metal man. I'd advise you to stay here."
Snake: "I would not recommend doing that, however I cannot stop you..."
Alex Fender: "And I'd advise you to stop letting those tight pants cut off the circulation to your head, but you don't see me pulling them down, do you?"
Snake: *sighs* "But from what the Master Hand told me, Metal Man has to be crazy or something. I just can't figure out where this whole 'illegal, manipulative personal play' idea comes into existence."
Chancé: "I thought the dex could call a warp, so I don't see why we haven't all warped to the master hand by now to get this sorted out."
Metal Man: "It'll come to play into YOUR FACE once we settle this, that's what." *He walks out, presumably to the front door.*
Aribar: "This sounds like a meeting that must take place... Okay, Metal, you just talk to the Hand through the Dex. We'll head up to his place."
Snake: "Well, if you insist, you may see the Master Hand."
Alex Fender: "Whoa! Hardcore!"
Valentine Kilmer: "Good luck, Questers."
Metal Man (GM): He steps aside. SIMBER appears next to him.
SIMBER: "Should have listened to me. Now the Questers are going to make you look bad, Snake."
Snake: "What? I thought I told you to--"
SIMBER: "Not appear. Yes. Now you see what happens when you ignore me."
Dragoshi: *Tapping his foot.*
Trigger walks up to Aribar and asks... "What exactly is going on here?"
Alex Fender: "Yeah! Burned by a robot!"
Dragoshi: "And I've really lost some of my patience."
SIMBER: "Metal Man is a special case, you have to let him hang himself. But now... now..." *He opens the elevator* "This shall be quite a show."
Dragoshi: "AI, Alex."
SIMBER: "I shall call it...'The Snake and Ganondorf Show.'"
Alex Fender: "Eh?"
Dragoshi: "That's what SIMBER is. An AI."
Alex Fender: "...oh. Hey, Mr. AI person with the squiggly lines... where's me ax?"
SIMBER: "Ganondorf for giving Metal Man ammunition to speak of, and you for provoking him to the extent he probably won't go for a compromise."
Metal Man (GM): The elevator up is open; you may enter it.
Digifanatic: *heads for the elevator.*
Metal Man (GM): SIMBER spins to Alex.
Aribar (belatedly) shrugs at Trigger.* "Something..."
SIMBER: "Oh, yeah, that."
Dragoshi: "Yanno, like the Cheeto-eating god?" *Just walks on over.*
SIMBER: "Burnt down with the old Stadium."
Valentine Kilmer: "How did you manage to mess that up anyways, Snake?"
Trigger walks into the elevator.
Alex Fender: "Bu--"
Chancé hums off-key the Tom and jerry show song and heads to the elevator.*
SIMBER: "I have the burnt crisps if you like."
Alex Fender: *stares... his eye twitching.*
Aribar: "I came into the middle of this as well... *Heads into the elevator.*
SIMBER: "Don't worry, though. Brawl moves are maaaagical."
Alex Fender: "...BUT I WANT MY AX... and now she's gone..."
SIMBER: "Just think hard enough... and you shall have your guitar. Through the magic of the Fighter Remote 2.14."
Alex Fender: "...eh..." *squints his eyes, thinking... hard?*
SIMBER: "And as for a real one, you'll have the ability to make one of those too."
Metal Man (GM): The guitar appears in Alex's hands as long as he thinks about it.
Alex Fender: "...eh."
Trigger: "That sounds interesting."
Alex Fender: "...BABY!"
Valentine Kilmer: "Speaking of which, if you people excuse me. I have to bother Metal Man about my platform."
Metal Man (GM): It's only a stock version, of course.
Alex Fender: *huggles his guitar.*
Metal Man (GM): Meanwhile, other people enter the elevator.
Alex Fender: "...oo! Right, Mr. MH." *zips into the elevator as well.*
SIMBER: "Good luck.." *He coughs* "Mr. Snake isn't going to like this."
Alex Fender: "Tell him to buy better fitting pants!"
Trigger: "...Isn't his pants supposed to be tight fitting?"
Digifanatic: "Nooooo idea."
SIMBER: "Ah, yes. That's a new nickname. Tightwad."
Metal Man (GM): The elevator closes, and the Questers go up.
Alex Fender: "Damnit, that man's whole lifestyle is FUCKED UP because he has his pants four sizes too small!"
Valentine Kilmer: *Sees to Metal Man and to wait and see the outcome of the questers.*
Digifanatic: .oO(Man, he's adamant.)
Trigger: "I think if I wore clothes that tight I'd throw up every five minutes..."
Digifanatic: *motions to set up a low five with Trigger.*
Metal Man (GM): The Questers get to the top, back to Master Hand's trippy, almost planetarium-like office.
Dragoshi: "Same. And, it'd be bad, 'cause I'd be throwing up acid."
Metal Man (GM): He turns to see the group, and speaks.
Trigger gives him a low-five.
Master Hand: "So, I see you have come to speak with me... about Metal Man's insane charges."
Alex Fender: "...HOLY BAVARIAN MONKEY WITH A FLAMING PLASTIC BANANA!! LOOK AT THE SIZE OF THAT HAND!!!"
Digifanatic: *smiles, retracts his hand and faces the more important Hand.*
Master Hand: "..." *Makes a quiet symbol* "Shhh... use your inside voice, Alex Fender."
Dragoshi: .oO(And I thought the one about the Cheeto-eating god was funny)
Trigger: "You got told by a hand Alex."
Alex Fender: "...AND HE'S PSYCHO TOO!! I... I mean... PSYCHIC!"
Master Hand: "I could hear you a mile away as it is, and my omniscient hearing usually doesn't work that well."
Master Hand: "The only thing which drowned it out was Metal Man's ranting about, as I will show you, absolute nonsense. He is speaking, firstly, about the Stadium, which I originally founded. He is right. Wolfman helped found the Questers. Wolfman gave him his position. But..."
Alex Fender: "No. Hand."
Master Hand: "The Brawl Questers were founded by me, as a part of the Stadium. And I owned the Stadium they were based on originally."
Alex Fender: "You have no butt."
Master Hand: "..." *Thwaps Alex, sending him across the room.* "Anyone else like flying?"
Alex Fender: *SMASH* "OW! RIGHT IN THE GALLBLADDER!"
Dragoshi: ".." *Snrks* "Don't mind him. He's silly. Regardless. Do go on."
Master Hand: "Yes. Just like Metal Man. Which is why I need to say this..."
Trigger: "...I think he needed it anyway."
Master Hand: "His legal controls are limited to that which Wolfman gave him. Wolfman technically inherited control of this organization, but he wasn't around. So it went to Metal Man, but he wasn't around. So it went to Snake, who I picked, and Snake said he would agree to it."
Master Hand: "Only Wolfman could protest it, but he is not here. And I don't remember him protesting anything I ever did."
Alex Fender: "Where'd he COME from, anyway?"
Master Hand: "Not even when I made Megaman Green and had him say 'Mega' every five seconds. That was a great time."
Digifanatic: "When was that?!"
Trigger: "...THAT SOUNDS HORRIBLE!!"
Dragoshi: "Yea. When?"
Master Hand: "Before your time. The N-team."
Digifanatic: "Not going there."
Master Hand: "The Questers were supposedly their replacement."
Dragoshi: "Also, I agree with Trig."
Master Hand: "With the N-Team having protected the original Smash Stadium."
Aribar listens to the Master Hand, the feeling that the Hand is just dancing around the issue growing within the elf.
Master Hand: "Well, that and those..." *cough* "Super... powers..."
Metal Man (GM): He points at several people-sized burn holes in the wall.
Trigger: "...That looks unhealthy."
Dragoshi: "...That sounds like it didn't go well."
Alex Fender: "...super powers? I want super powers! I'd be all like... zooooooom!"
Master Hand: "They were given super powers, which they promptly abused. It is half thanks to them Metal Man wound up in our world. But I digress, Metal Man has no claim, and while I will stand trial, my lawyer shall make his look foolish. The only other way would be if Metal Man defeated Snake. But I don't see that happening. Or Wolfman complaining. I don't see that happening. I have proof, too, that Metal Man acted above his station and made a mess in various situations. The ends did justify them for controlling... .Melee... Questers... but not... Brawl... Questers. Finally... his purity is questionable, we do not know where he came from, and how he pays his bills anymore."
Chancé: "To say what I am thinking right now would earn me a slap... so I will keep quiet..."
Master Hand: "If you phrased it politely, I would not slap you. I merely dislike being interrupted by screams."
Alex Fender: "Cause that slap would HURT. It'd be like a uber slap. From hell. With fingers and ow."
Trigger looks at Alex. "Better listen to him."
Chancé: "It involves Phoenix Wright and the Female Von karma, I don't know if it's possible to phrase it correctly."
Alex Fender: "...I KNOW!"
Aribar: "This seems to be getting... Silly. Why would you bring this to some corrupt court system? Why not just talk to Metal Man?"
Dragoshi: "Yea... I mean, it'd be several times simpler. And a lot less grating on some of our nerves." :/
Alex Fender: *coughs once, then poses and points his finger right at Trigger* "ORANGUTAN!"
Master Hand: "I cannot... talk to him directly, for I know he may as well challenge me to a battle."
Trigger gets a confused look about him. "WHA?!"
Alex Fender: "...wait... no, that isn't it..."
Master Hand: "Even if he didn't, he could deliver that legal document to me... making such a court case mandatory. And I would like to hope the court system in a small dimension I carved myself would not be corrupt."
Alex Fender: *raises a hand in the air, looking toward Master Hand* "Oo! Oo!"
Digifanatic: .oO(This man needs a tranq. Stat.)
Trigger: *coughs once, then poses and points his finger right at Alex* "ORANGUTAN!"
Master Hand: "You underestimate Metal Man... he probably has an ulterior motive. Has he ever questioned his job or the presence of the Questers before?"
Alex Fender: "Once... but that was after two tequila sunrises and quite a few trips through the Whirl-A-Wheel."
Digifanatic: "Don't want to clean that up."
Trigger: "Sounds like a drunken blast..."
Dragoshi: "Let me check..." *Tries to remember with his fuzzy memory..*
Master Hand: "Furthermore, there is evidence showing he sniped and attacked the Stadium directly, thinking that you would fight him to the death. Indeed, his own logs--"
Metal Man (GM): That word jogs Dragoshi's memory. He remembers the only thing Metal ever questioned-- Why Charles had to be evil, and how it was his fault... but he never questioned his job or position. Indeed, he only 'disbanded' the Melee Questers, apparently believing they were done and any further action would just be silly. This chaos trip is relatively new. If it occurred then, he had to have done it in private. He only questioned Charles' need to die, and/or his responsibility there. But not logs, missions, his job, anything. One of the most faithful commanders Dragoshi could think of, as even when everything exploded he was pointing to continue anyway. Thus making this rather odd. Perhaps even... out of character... for what one remembers.
Aribar: "I still believe that just talking to him instead of going through some trial would be better.."
Dragoshi: "...Actually... Metal did Question one thing. Though, for what it's worth, I'm unsure if I should even bother mentioning it."
Master Hand: "I refuse. If I get within earshot, he can force a trial on me. Whereas you can ferry my intentions and stop him yourselves as Questers... Indeed, you should just tell him my thoughts and think for yourselves what is right."
Alex Fender: "So, wait, serious like now. You're saying that we can stop him as Questers?"
Dragoshi: "...Oh, screw it. I'll just mention it and get berated now. If I do remember correctly-- Which I think so, because even with my horribly fuzzy memory, I can remember some things QUITE clearly. The one thing he questioned was Charles' need to die and his responsibility there. But... Nothing else. This..seems a bit out of character for the guy." :/
Alex Fender: "...wouldn't he have some special way to stop the Questers that is from the older days?"
Master Hand: "The Questers were fighting him earlier, and he was technically winning, but it came down to Dragoshi and Kamui. Julian refused to fight him."
Dragoshi: "Yea, and I did various stuff against him."
Master Hand: "My own plan was to just have you Questers fight him off; he isn't incredibly powerful, and uses outdated abilities."
Digifanatic: "Dragoshi, what did Julian have against fighting him?"
Alex Fender: "I just don't want to end up fighting him and him throwing some... Anti-Quester bomb at us."
Master Hand: "The only such thing he had was the fighter remote... something he willingly destroyed."
Dragoshi: "I think it was something about Julian having fought Metal way too many times as-is. I think. Though, don't take my word for it." :/
Master Hand: "But clearly, that is because he is strong enough to take on divided Questers without breaking a sweat. You are far more united than the old Questers."
Digifanatic: *thinks back...* "Ohhhhhhh yeah... like four times, maybe? Some crazy number like that."
Master Hand: "Yes... Julian's reluctance to fight Metal Man led to this."
Aribar just sits back and listens, not liking either option...*
Master Hand: "As he would have simply slaughtered the two that fought, without backup. Well... not slaughtered... merely defeated to get some crazy 'symbolic' victory over my 'illegal' Questers... But I shall not back down from my position unless you personally side with him, Wolfman appears to support him, or Snake is defeated by him in battle."
Alex Fender: "...so... what should we do about him now?"
Wolfman: "...then stand down." *shows up.*
Trigger looks over his shoulder. "Oh, hey Wolf."
Aribar looks to Wolf, wondering if he heard correctly..*
Illusionist shows up too! Woo..
Dragoshi: "Nice timing there, Wolf." *He then also sees the Illusionist* "Oh. Hiya."
Master Hand: "Before I do... give me your reasons. I still do not trust Metal Man, especially since plenty of money vanished before he did."
Aribar then looks at the newcomer..* "Er... 'allo."
Wolfman: "That is fair."
Digifanatic: *to Illusionist* "We'll talk later--this is important business right now."
Alex Fender: "Reasons of supporting MM?"
Illusionist scratches his head at Digi, confused.
Wolfman: "After the first wave of evil was defeated due to the chocolate milk fiasco, I gave control to Metal before I became Maverick for a time. I thought that he would be a good leader. While I often disagreed with him and his tactics, he has a good mind and tries to avoid the problems that we've gotten ourselves into. As far as you... well, I haven't seen you done much except for when I summoned you once or twice in a few fights against the last of the Void's creeps. Metal is willing to fight for what he believes in. I haven't seen you do the same. And trust me: I've known you longer."
Master Hand: *Flinches* "Very well. But what he said was something involving chaos and realms and such, and accusations of myself masterminding schemes. If his complaint is allowed to stand, then the only way for him to prevent these unique insane things he claims to see would be to lead the Questers. Something I would personally dislike."
Wolfman: "And why do you dislike it?"
Dragoshi: "...Yes. Why?" *Leans against the wall.*
Master Hand: "For he pooled dangerous chemicals inside the Stadium, spent money on himself, and did crazy things... and told the Questers what to do for 20 years straight, giving me and them no choice in the matter."
Dragoshi: "Actually, he gave us some choice. Some."
Master Hand: "The Charles situation I forgive him for, however it only adds in that he'd probably be too sentimental about friends to kill them before they became cancerous."
Chancé: "Dun dun dun?"
Wolfman: "He's changed... the Charles situation kind of woke him up."
Master Hand: "Further, it would remove Snake from his job... and he would not like that... very much, he would dislike it."
Digifanatic: "Perhaps we could let them co-run the business?"
Wolfman: "From what I understand, Snake might not like being here normally."
Dragoshi: "I really haven't seen Snake doing much, anyway."
Wolfman: "We're not... the most serious of workers, as you know."
Digifanatic: "Two-man firm?"
Master Hand: "So... you want a commander who tells you what missions to do?"
Digifanatic: "Not necessarily."
Wolfman: "No. Metal is learning that his old commander style won't work."
Master Hand: "I must be sure, because he spent so much time entrenching himself last time, that it took the world becoming peaceful for five years to pry himself loose."
Dragoshi: "What they said."
Wolfman: "It was partly his control that caused this situation."
Master Hand: "He is likely to flavor anything you do with his own ideas of what goes on, and I do not believe he has changed that much... of course, his concerns now are strangely out of character for him."
Chancé: "Do you think that Metal should be a part of this discussion, Wolfman?"
Digifanatic: "But we could take a few elements that we liked Metal's style for and put them in with what we like about Snake, and hope that they compromise. However, that seems not like a good idea at this stage."
Master Hand: "I cannot further forbid his presence if Wolfman objects to my position to stop him from assuming control or, alternatively, shutting down the Questers, though knowing him he wouldn't do that with what you are offering to him... When first meeting one another, you yourself saw Metal Man chew out Snake. Based on Snake following my orders."
Wolfman: .oO(You can be surprised Master Hand... you can be surprised...)
Alex Fender: "...why not just make him a normal Quester?"
Wolfman starts using his Smash Dex to call Metal.
Digifanatic: "He probably doesn't want to be like Wolf."
Master Hand: "He would never listen to anything Snake said and most likely assert leadership by proxy."
Digifanatic: "Wolf, no offense. You're doing fine the way you are."
Wolfman: "All I've been doing is background and research as of late."
Metal Man (GM): Metal answers the call, having already given Val a floating platform of her own.
Metal Man: "Yello. What's up today, Captain Wolfman?"
Wolfman: "I'm not anyone's captain Metal. However, your presence here would be helpful at the Stadium. Master Hand is here, and perhaps we can work out this whole thing." .oO(Hopefully)
Metal Man: (Dex) "That's the funny thing. Snake didn't let me in the elevator and forbade my presence even inside it."
Wolfman: "...I don't recall Snake having that authority to forbid you to enter."
Metal Man: (Dex) "I'd possibly have to shoot him just to get close enough to get a look at R&R, let alone into MH's room."
Master Hand: "Oh, he did... by me. He is still unregistered and an unknown. He even fought Questers in the field. How can I know he is still good?"
Wolfman: "Master Hand, allow Metal Man access in here."
Illusionist: "Huh. How did I get in here, again?.."
Master Hand: "If you insist."
Metal Man: "All righty then..."
Dragoshi: "Maybe you accidentally wandered in?" *Shrugs.*
Metal Man (GM): *WARP* Metal Man appears in the room. Of his own accord... he has a personal warp system.
Metal Man: "I'm just sayin', the Questers here were restarted illegally and if they continue as they are, they're gonna mess things up. I know how to un-mess things up. In fact, I know very much about what is going on."
Master Hand: "Enough to possibly be an enemy, I'd suppose..."
Dragoshi: "Then do tell, Metal."
Metal Man: "Pft. If I were an enemy, I'd shoot out Snake the minute he saw me." *He shook his head* "I fired those shots thinking violent Questers who wouldn't listen to reason would try to kill me. Illegally. I made it illegal for there to be any more Questers."
Valentine Kilmer: "...He really needs to quit jumping into things." *She quickly hovers herself fromt he front towards the elevators and into the room with Metal Man.*
Digifanatic: "Come on, we're doing this for a good cause. It shouldn't be illegal."
Metal Man: "At least. Not without my say-so, since I happened to have saved the universe with them. Of course, I've overhead your little conversation." *He winks* "If you gave me the commander position, then I'd spill the beans and we'd all be happy again. Well, not Captain Tight-Pants, but a good beer bottle to the head could fix that."
Digifanatic: "Okay, if we were doing acts of evil that would tarnish our name from, say, five, six years ago, THAT I could consider as an illegal action. But we're helping people out just like we used to.."
Master Hand: "I still don't see these concerns, for I have operated many organizations, and only the one with your name on it went chaotic."
Digifanatic: "What's so wrong about that?"
Metal Man: "Hopping between realms. And some other stuff you did to make old enemies feel wary of you again."
Digifanatic: "Well, usually I'm not this bold, but hey, we're letting them know we've still got some tricks."
Metal Man: "But I'm not saying it unless you decide you want my help as leader. Otherwise, I'll just have to request the Quester name be taken off and this organization Mr. Hand has illegally made here be located elsewhere..."
Aribar: "Or perhaps we've overstepped our boundaries."
Digifanatic: "We're not just Joe Citizens right now."
Metal Man: "It's nothing personal, I just have to make sure the heroes, or the best thing next to them, can fix it in an orderly fashion."
Valentine Kilmer: "But some tricks are better left in the books untold."
Illusionist: "I still don't see the hassle in striking the title from your organization name.."
Master Hand: "Well, what'll it be, Questers? I don't have all day. Do you want this man as leader, or do we keep Snake and proceed with the lawsuit... or just toss him out entirely?"
Alex Fender: "Alright, wait, dial down the volume. I get the reason why Metal disbanded the first Questers, and he's made it clear why he wants this set of Questers gone, but... why did you reform the Questers again in the FIRST place, MH?"
Wolfman looks to Alex... surprised that he can actually say something serious.
Metal Man: "Reform in the first place?" *He seems confused* "All I did was continue what Wolfman gave me, they weren't disbanded until I said so."
Aribar: "I'd like that question answered as well.."
Valentine Kilmer: "I'd advise to keep both."
Alex Fender: "I'm talking to the huge ass hand, Man of Metal!"
Metal Man: "Whoops... I did it again." *Stands back.*
Master Hand: "Uh... uhmm... hmmmm... Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..."
Alex Fender: "Wolf made Questers, Metal took over Questers, Metal disbanded Questers, Master hand REFORMED Questers."
Master Hand: "I made it so they'd protect this Stadium like the others."
Alex Fender: "WHY did you reform Questers, Big Hand Man Person?"
Wolfman: "...does this Stadium really need protecting? Honestly."
Alex Fender: "...buuuut... isn't the stadium all high tech and powerful and such?"
Metal Man: "The Stadium which needed no protection, because all the big bad guys had died, or, better yet, were reformed and participating IN your little tournament."
Dragoshi: "...Seriously. Why do we need to protect this stupid stadium? I mean... what the hell?"
Master Hand: "Yes, but... but... certain people are evil... and... ...well, I couldn't trust Ganondorf..."
Valentine Kilmer: "I question such method as well, Master Hand."
Dragoshi: "I mean, seriously. I'm much more concerned about the world then this gaw damn place."
Alex Fender: "So, in the end, you made the Questers to go kill Ganondorf."
Master Hand: "Or Bowser... and... Dr. Wily... he could be... anywhere..."
Dragoshi: "...Universe. What the hell ever."
Master Hand: "That, I did not do. He was alive last I checked."
Aribar: "There's Link, Mario, and Megaman."
Dragoshi: *Glances at the hand...*
Alex Fender: "Doesn't Ganondorf have an enemy all his own... that Lank person?"
Master Hand: "It was the Questers who followed him."
Dragoshi: "Link, Alex."
Metal Man: "Yeah. He has Link."
Alex Fender: "Then why not send HIM after Ganondorf?"
Digifanatic: .oO(We better not be trying to kill off our own faction!)
Metal Man: "And the Questers followed him because Snake was leading them, and only taught him how to follow people."
Dragoshi: "...Yea. Seriously. Alex has a point."
Master Hand: "He... uhhh... needed to fight... a lot. Yeah. Fight in lots and lots of battles."
Dragoshi: "...Oh, now you're just BSing me."
Master Hand: "It would be... a financial burden."
Dragoshi: "Who cares."
Alex Fender: "...is money a big deal when someone who could blow up the world is in power?"
Dragoshi: "Just send the damn guy after his damn enemy and get it the fuck over with."
Digifanatic: "I hope not."
Wolfman: "The mistake that I made was to keep the main fighters providing funds for the place. I tried to help STOP that now. They each have their own lives, and stop by now and then. It shouldn't be a 24/7 job."
Metal Man: "I know specifically what happened... but you're pretty good at inferring it, Master Hand."
Digifanatic: .oO(I can't believe it... we're breaking apart at these seams again...)
Master Hand: "Okay... I'll tell you... it was for the tournament, again. This tournament, as you see it, has only begun. Even more fighters shall be here... so many that... more realms would be effected this time."
Valentine Kilmer: "Do you have a list of this, Master Hand?"
Master Hand: "It is too late to undo the summoning magic, so I summoned the Questers to fill in the gaps the fighters couldn't while busy."
Digifanatic: .oO(Hmm... NO, IAN. DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT! It's not gonna happen!)
Master Hand: "The spell is wide-ranging... it isn't done selecting yet. Already, it is gigantic."
Dragoshi: "...So. You just... used us?"
Aribar: "I believe so.."
Valentine Kilmer: "So it would seem."
Wolfman: "...this was never my original purpose of the Questers."
Master Hand: "Your job is to defend the Stadium... especially from the bad guys... however they come, for whatever reason. It's your job... using you would be without hiring you to do such."
Alex Fender: "So. basically, you wanted to make money."
Dragoshi: "..." *Was he even asked when to help when they made the Brawl Questers, anyway?*
Master Hand: *Sighs* "But if you insist, I can allow this Metal Man to clean up this mess which you all see, and which I don't."
Digifanatic: .oO("Is there any chance that--" NO! Stop it!)
Metal Man: "Master Hand here's not so much evil but naive. See, he was AWOL in hand-land while Kuja killed the Questers one by one."
Dragoshi: "Of course you don't see it. You-"
Valentine Kilmer: "If I recall, Dr. Ivo Robotnik first sent me here to assist Metal Man in a few quests."
Metal Man: "He doesn't understand so much about this whole world 'cause he's omniscient and doesn't have to put up with it if it dislikes him."
Valentine Kilmer: "He mentioned nothing about protecting a stadium."
Dragoshi: "Never mind. I'm not going to bother saying anything, you sad, oversized piece of magical clothing."
Metal Man: "Oh, but that is because he always found it inherent in the Questers... Indeed, it was I who thought protecting the Stadium was no longer needed."
Alex Fender: "Then he did some summoning shit and made it all vulnerable again."
Master Hand: "Enough. If you agree with this man, you may as well do what he says, rather than I. You have shown me your little world is not the Super Smash Brothers place I thought it to be."
Valentine Kilmer: "If I recall, it was to fix the holes from the world that joined other worlds."
Dragoshi: "Super what... Okay, hand. What the hell are you talking about."
Wolfman: "...Super Smash Brothers... Super Smash Questers..."
Chancé: "It must be a game from his world."
Master Hand: "The tournament's name. It's the Olympics for many universes."
Dragoshi: "...That is the most idiotic name for a tournament I have ever heard."
Master Hand: "Only some people apparently never got the message to be peaceful."
Wolfman: "Dragoshi, it's meant as a fun, family based competition."
Master Hand: "And over time, it's become so crazy that my logic seemingly never applies."
Wolfman: "No one is supposed to be hurt."
Dragoshi: "And this is coming from the guy wh-...Oh."
Wolfman: "Fight as champions, leave as brothers."
Valentine Kilmer: "Calm yourself, Dragoshi."
Dragoshi: "I'm trying to."
Wolfman: "At least... that's my crazed interpretation."
Master Hand: "The only way for it to continue, then, is with the aid of someone who supposedly knows how this world works... not me. I am to supervise the tournament."
Dragoshi: "And, trust me. It's not easy with half of the crap going on." :/
Wolfman: "...'which' world? There are MANY worlds!"
Master Hand: "But I promise to make the correct people available to fight their respective enemies when things go wrong."
Dragoshi: "Especially what with all the horrible flaws that this organization has the first place."
Master Hand: "This multiverse. It is as one world to me."
Wolfman: "...all of this time, I knew it. There was always many worlds in this place."
Valentine Kilmer: "In other words, who knows the worlds better than anyone else?"
Wolfman: "That would probably be me. After all, I did recruit some older Smashers and Questers."
Trigger: So all of our worlds co-exist oin one large galaxy?"
Valentine Kilmer: "Then would you accept?"
Wolfman: "Probably more than one."
Master Hand: "You need not say anymore... I shall grant this man whose views you champion his spot back... or at least, your right to choose such over my plan of the Questers operating independently. Ironically, in asking for you to act independently, I never considered you wanted an explicit leader, rather than a guide."
Dragoshi: "Operating independently would end in a mess. At least, if we did that all the time."
Master Hand: "Perhaps that is why Ganondorf got away in the first place... but enough is enough. I need no court case, for we have basically had one in here."
Chancé: "And not one objection..."
Valentine Kilmer: "And it would seem the Questers won it."
Master Hand: "Go now, then, and do as you seek fit; I shall merely ensure the Stadium is protected... you clean up whatever has been caused by but a few days of my own Quester leadership."
Metal Man: "Very well then... I have one thing to do, then." *He gets in the elevator down.*
Wolfman: "...there is something that we all do need to fix, though. ...Metal, if you haven't gone down, come back please."
Aribar sighs in relief, glad that this has all gone well..
Valentine Kilmer: "Having a guide and a leader is a good idea though."
Metal Man is standing in the elevator. "I'm waiting for you guys, actually."
Alex Fender: *pffts and heads to the elevator as well.*
Trigger: "Like quester squads?"
Metal Man: "And I don't plan on firing Snake... he never did anything that wasn't in his job description."
Valentine Kilmer: "Get Solid Snake to join the Questers as a guide."
Wolfman: "...to everyone here... fix the multiverse. Make it so that we can warp to and fro without causing damage. Not just us, but almost everyone."
Metal Man: "However, I think he may loosen up now that he doesn't have to follow Master Hand's naive guesses at reality."
Trigger heads in the elevator.
Wolfman now follows Metal in.
Valentine Kilmer: "Very well." *She joins Metal Man in the elevator.*
Metal Man: "Now... I must tell you all something very important. Very important indeed. This is..."
Dragoshi: *Pushes himself off the wall, and follows the others, muttering.*
Metal Man (GM): The elevator gets to the bottom.
Illusionist wonders if he shoulder follow too... not being a Quester and whatnot.
Metal Man (GM): It opens. The front door bursts open.
Metal Man (GM): A weird silhouette is standing there, the light coming in makes it hard to see.
Dragoshi: *He then stops, and notices the door get busted open.* "...Oh, for crying out loud."
Metal Man (GM): Rounded head, weird cape, must be a large mustache. It speaks.
Wolfman sees... huh? Someone is there, but can't... uh oh...
Aribar blinks, looking at the... Odd thing.
Alex Fender: "...SANTA CLAUS!!"
Dragoshi: *As does Dragoshi.*
Dragoshi: "..." *Facepalm.*
Grodus: "Gaack-aack-aack! You have done what Charles never could, Metal Man! You have taken over the Questers... all for US! Especially me, Grodus!"
Metal Man takes out his gun, and silently fires at Grodus. Repeatedly.
Trigger smacks some sense into Alex. "Do you ever stay calm?"
Metal Man (GM): *BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM.*
Alex Fender: *ducks.*
Metal Man (GM): His head is riddled with bullet holes now.
Dragoshi: *Helps Metal, by spewing out acid at Grodus.*
Grodus: "Gaaaaaah!" *He stands back.*
Dragoshi: "Oh, shut up."
Metal Man: "You filled my head with lies about the Questers being as violent as they were when I once led them."
Dragoshi: *Prepares to crush Grodus underfoot with a Gravity Well as well, because this is fucking old.*
Metal Man: "I almost believed they would stand with Master Hand's naive assumptions to the death.
Dragoshi: *Well, then let's just say he's prepping it.*
Metal Man: "Indeed, I came in thinking I would have to fight them, Snake, or even Master Hand himself. But then they fought against Master Hand. With words."
Grodus: "But you... you are just like Locos! Evil to the end, because the Questers are Bou--"
Metal Man (GM): *BLAM.*
Dragoshi: .oO(I am really fucking tired of these fucking villains in our fucking HQ! This has gotten old, dammit)
Valentine Kilmer: "It would seem the questers have indeed become more wise. I have to say that I'm impressed."
Dragoshi: "..." *Still prepping up the well*
Grodus: "Very well, I shall simply have to destroy all of you. This will not not NOT! figure into my master plan very well, although I predicted that the Metal Man would turn to the light side if it listened to him... I predicted the Questers would rather kill him. Most unfortunate." *Walks further in, opening his cape* "I may as well let it be known, as this traitor has thrown our cloak off and violently shot me in the face as it is..."
Dragoshi: *Is pretty much waiting for Grodus to shut up, at this point, so he can crush him underfoot already.* "Keep talking... Keep talking... I'll take you to your grave soon enough."
Grodus: "The evil which once plagued this world, that of myself, Ganondorf, and others, has returned! Gaack-aack-aack! And you were so close to falling for the clincher in our evil plan, too. But then... then THIS happened..."
Valentine Kilmer: "I would highly advise against taking action against the Questers."
Aribar: "... Hey, everyone... I have an idea."
Alex Fender: "What idea is that, Uno Arm Man?"
Dragoshi: "She does have a point there. Especially since one of them isn't really in a good mood to deal with any villains existing in his general radius right now..."
Grodus: "I will do as I wish, pathetic worm. The might of the X-nauts stands strong!" *slams staff against the ground* "I shall level you all to the ground with my superior intellect!"
Aribar: "Let's capture Grodus NOW, since he's right here and doesn't mind being shot in the face."
Chancé: "Valentine, may I call you Clippy? You remind me of a certain computer office assistant..."
Aribar: "As opposed to when he's behind a gauntlet of traps in his base."
Metal Man: "Capture him? Capital Idea. But let us shoot him up first, so he can't irritate us."
Metal Man reloads his pistol. "I didn't get quite enough combat just fighting two people anyway."
Alex Fender: "Capital with a capital capital!"
Wolfman: "...Chancé, do NOT remind me of the Annoying One ever again."
Dragoshi: "...Yes. Besides. I need some god damn stress relief after that grating discussion."
Grodus: "What? You're going to aid them in CAPTURING ME? Gaaaack! I'm going to tell Ganondorf about this!!!"
Dragoshi: "Even with my ridiculous platform tactics?"
Metal Man (GM): BATTLE.
Alex Fender: "Then let's light this bitch UP!"
Metal Man (GM): Woah... that's a... lot of people...
Valentine Kilmer: "There are more of us. It would be advise to flank him. I'll be the Quester's support."
Metal Man (GM): In this... interesting battle... Grodus is standing by the front door. All the Questers are right across the room, heavily armed, and rather large in number. Metal Man, having already shot Grodus in the face repeatedly, has time to, once again, shoot up Grodus.
Grodus: "How dare you turn on me! My plan was perfect. You could have had the Questers as yours, had you just taken out Master Hand when you got the chance!"
Valentine Kilmer: "Hush. Your fate will be decided now."
Metal Man: "Because it turns out, bad guys don't trust me, and good guys apparently do." *Locks and loads, then opens fire at Grodus' face with his AK-47s.*
Dragoshi: *To Grodus* "Shut up, shut up, just shut the fuck up!"
Metal Man (GM): Grodus brings up a force field, blocking the bullets.
Grodus: "Foolish... foolish... I was prepared for this, too."
Chancé: "Hmm... Valentine, how is his force field held open?"
Grodus: "Take this, inferior beings!" He holds up his staff, then fires lightning at it... ...at everybody!!!
Valentine Kilmer: "Give me time."
Metal Man (GM): Metal Man gets zapped.
Illusionist: "Prepared to battle a large squadron of them..?"
Wolfman sees lightning coming at him... with no good option to move to the side, he tries lying prone on the ground to avoid the shock.
Valentine Kilmer: *Navigates her platform to avoid the attack.*
Dragoshi: "..." *Twitches as Grodus says 'Inferior beings', then snarls, and tries to zoom around the lightning as fast as he can!*
Metal Man (GM): Valentine is hit, stunned. Wolf and Dragoshi are hit.
Alex Fender: "Whoo, boy!" *makes to leap straight up into the air.*
Dragoshi: *Failure! Though, at least no stun.*
Aribar holds out his hand and commands the electricity to harmlessly strike the ground instead of him.*
Trigger sees the lightning coming at him fast and tries to somersault jump over the lightning.
Metal Man (GM): Just in time. Roll a defense check, Digi.
Valentine Kilmer: *She was too bust filling a request she didn't see the attack coming. Ouch.*
Metal Man (GM): Digi, Chance, and Trigger are hit... and Alex is stunned.
Grodus: "Gaack-aack-aack-aack! I'll stun you all into he stone age!"
Alex Fender: "Hoooooly monkey." *stands there and shudders.*
Illusionist becomes stunned easily. sparks jolt slightly around his body.
Aribar flinches as his spell fails and he's zapped.* "Gah... Time to return the favor!"
Aribar starts towards Grodus and begins to crackle with electricity. The elf picks up speed as the charge builds until he's at a run. Then Ari leaps into the air and yells out, "Thunderstruck!", suddenly blasting off into the robotic menace with a wicked electric tackle.*
Grodus: "Gaack-aack-aaaack!" *He blocks it, with his force field. As usual.*
Metal Man: "We gotta take out his force field somehow. But how?"
Aribar: "Gah!" *Bounces backwards...* "Easier said than done.."
Wolfman: "...I have an idea."
Grodus: "Hah, you'll never do it! This one is... iiimproveeeeed."
Dragoshi: "How much improved is the question, though." *He chuckles.*
Valentine Kilmer: "All things have weaknesses and I'll find it."
Chancé: "... Hmm, find the squishy generator?"
Valentine Kilmer: *Of course she still has to deal with the weakness of her body, and getting it hit even with a little strike seem to have sent her back. But she remains calm and collective as she going back to preparing herself.*
Wolfman runs towards Grodus, feeling a bit weak without having practiced the new 'Brawl' techniques. However, he keeps on running towards him... and the field. His main thought: .oO(Well, if it got Break Man to be a living machine, maybe I can pull off something.)
Digifanatic figures he'll wait until Alex goes once or twice before he starts thinking about going musical... so let's try a double Icy Kick to Grodus' midsection!
Metal Man (GM): The field becomes a bit weak at times, but it has yet to be broken.
Grodus: "You... you shall not pass through my field!"
Wolfman of course doesn't have Break Man's control... or cool factor. He ends up past him, and then turns around to face him on the other end, hoping he can see something...
Dragoshi: *Draoshi, instead of attacking, decides to zoom over to Grodus, and attempt to steal the guy's staff out of his hands, and see if his guess is right...*
Valentine Kilmer: "Metal Man. A moment back here."
Metal Man (GM): Wolfman sees a pile of loose ceiling tiles over Grodus. Dragoshi is defeated by the Ker-shield.
Metal Man: *Turns to Valentine* "Yes?"
Wolfman: .oO(Hmm... better not try anything just yet... but maybe the others can...)
Wolfman just tries to stare partly at Grodus, and partly at the loose ceiling tiles... hoping that someone gets the hint.
Dragoshi: "...Hmph." *Dragoshi would then once again try to steal from Grodus, before calling it quits. ...For now, anyway.*
Valentine Kilmer: "Anger our enemy a bit and have him focus on you. I'll slide to the side and figure out his little trick."
Metal Man: "Very well."
Metal Man (GM): Dragoshi's hand is deflected even faster this time.
Grodus: "None can defeat my shield! I've even made it Mario-proof!"
Dragoshi: "You're merely lucking out." *Sways back and forth, slowly, waiting.*
Valentine Kilmer: "Luck has nothing to do with it."
Metal Man: "Yes. Grodus always plans ahead."
Dragoshi: "...But, even so."
Chancé: "Hmm... I wonder... Well, I will wait to try that theory, for now..."
Chancé reaches into his pocket.
Chancé: *He pulls out a bottle that looks like a bright pink metal cola and tosses it at Grodus.*
Trigger runs over to Grodus, grabs into him tightly, and suplexes him head first into the ground.
Metal Man (GM): Trigger's grab is defeated. He pushes over Grodus.
Dragoshi: "Don't tell me you drank fruit punch."
Grodus: "Gaaack!!!" *His head begins spinning* "You me are going to dance! Gaaa-haaa-haaa Jamaica!!!"
Chancé: "No, but dear Grodus just got some nice Insanity Potion."
Dragoshi: "...Oh. Fair enough."
Illusionist wont let himself be zapped once again. He waves his hands over himself and becomes invisible!
Metal Man: "Well then, while we're doing insane... it's deathmachine time!!!!"
Metal Man (GM): Grodus blocks the series of projectiles out of hand. Metal Man, however, isn't done yet. Why? Because... he begins talking.
Metal Man: "You're just like Locos! You're... you're predictable and easily defeated!"
Grodus: "Jam--haaaaa???? How dare you compare me to that fruit pancake!!!! I'll eat your nose for lunch!!!" He lurches forward a little.
Digifanatic decides to smack Grodus dead in the head with a Fire Punch before taking a leap and driving him straight into the ground with a Downward Aerial Smash.
Alex Fender: *shakes himself hard* "Alright, no more Mr. Nice Rock God." *races straight at Grodus from around Digi, his fists flying. No guitar... but he basically just sends out a flurry of hands and feet as fast as he bloody well can.*
Metal Man (GM): Grodus gets some raw luck... but dodges anyway! However, he is still crazy AND angry.
Grodus: "Calling me... an ice cream submarine... you really crossed it there, blood orange drinker!"
Metal Man (GM): Grodus leaps up, staff first, and tries to bash Metal Man, then Digi, and then Wolfman over the head with it. He can fly through the air, even. Grodus hits Metal, then Digi.
Wolfman sees Grodus going for the other two guys first... and then coming for him! He decides to try using a counter he learned from another universe: duck, and then uppercut right when he comes by. However, the timing has to be just... right...
Metal Man (GM): Wolf counters. Grodus flies into the ceiling and onto the floor.
Dragoshi: "...Nice one."
Grodus: "Argh! Curse you, Space Buzzyear!"
Metal Man: "It appears he's weak against counter-attacks."
Wolfman: "...I've read up on it too, and it's Buzz Lightyear!"
Dragoshi: "...Can we save the movie knowledge for later?"
Wolfman: "If not now, when?"
Valentine Kilmer: "So that's the ability of the former leader of the Questers, huh?"
Chancé: "Hmm, interesting."
Dragoshi: "For when we aren't being assaulted by a corpse."
Wolfman might be a bit rusty, but he's somehow having some fun with this.
Dragoshi: "Seriously. Shouldn't he be dead, like... two or three times over by now?"
Valentine Kilmer: "I'll be following your lead, Dragoshi."
Dragoshi: "...Understood" *Dragoshi would then continue to sway back and forth as per usual... until he stops for a second, and ducks down, waiting for Grodus to make his move.*
Valentine Kilmer: *It would seem the girl has taken her place elsewhere, more along the sidelines of Grodus as she focuses through the scope of her rifle, patiently waiting for something to make the wrong move int he mist of the chaos.*
Aribar conjures up a whirlwind with his magic. He then shapes the gusts of wind into razor-sharp blades and rushes towards the fishbowl of bolts and shows him what for with a barrage of slices!* (Storm of Blades)
Metal Man (GM): Grodus has only been sorta damaged, due to his eeevil shield. He holds up a hand, and the field blocks the attack.
Grodus: "Cra-cra-craaack! Haaaaahaahahahahaaaaa Jamaica!"
Metal Man: "Need to short out that field somehow..."
Wolfman looks up a bit, wondering...
Valentine Kilmer: "Wait a moment longer, Metal Man."
Wolfman: .oO(...are those tiles above him? The ones that look loose?)
Metal Man: "Sure."
Metal Man (GM): Yup... tiles all right.
Valentine Kilmer: *She then reaches behind her neck, never taking her eyes off the the crosshairs as she pulls a wire around her hair and around her shoulder so she can plug the port into the rifle itself. What is she up to?*
Wolfman has recovered from his successful counter, goes to capitalize. He looks to where Grodus is, first, and sees if he is actually underneath some of those tiles that look loose...
Metal Man (GM): He is. In fact, he's about to attack... he sizes up Dragoshi with his crazy eyes and wildly swings his staff forward.
Grodus: "Eat some pyro candy, backwards question mark! JAMAICA!"
Metal Man (GM): A gigantic blast of, poorly aimed, fire flies at Dragoshi.
Chancé: "I think I may have done more harm than good.."
Wolfman has to take his chance then... hope he is tall enough. He rushes towards Grodus, jumping once up high. Then he propels himself up in midair, hoping to be close to right above Grodus. Then, he gives the ceilng a good punch and kick while he can before falling down... time to see if Grodus can handle being hit on the head.
Dragoshi: *And, Dragoshi, in response to Grodus' fucked up inanity, tries to do what Wolfman did, and counter, but instead an uppercut, he tries to jump over the fire, grab Grodus' staff, then smash it into him then steal it away after the smash all in one smooth motion!*
Metal Man (GM): Wolf makes it up to the ceiling. Meanwhile, Grodus blocks Dragoshi utterly.
Valentine Kilmer: *She waits for Grodus to be distracted, using this to find the source of the of the Force Field. If that isn't found, then she'll just try to find the breaking point.*
Wolfman hopes his attack on the ceiling will loosen the tiles above Grodus's head, and land on him.
Metal Man (GM): Dragoshi flew into the fire with his attack, taking damage. Meanwhile, Wolfman drops a block on the staff from above... Breaking his shield.
Grodus: "Gaaaaaa!!!" His confusion is also gone. "I knew I couldn't take two people attacking at once!"
Dragoshi: *And, Dragoshi is fried. Not like he cares.* "Okay, finally. That was getting old. And stupid."
Wolfman finally did something right around here...
Metal Man (GM): Grodus takes damage from the attack.
Wolfman lands safely, ready for whatever Grodus has in mind.
Dragoshi: *Just waits. For now.*
Valentine Kilmer: "It's your own fault." *And with that, she begins to use what knowledge she has on the enemy, determine to find its own weakpoint.*
Metal Man (GM): Val determines his head is the weak point. That's why Metal shot it so full of holes.
Valentine Kilmer: "Here's something for your collection." *And that's when she lines her crosshairs up with the beings head and pulls the trigger for a powerful shot erupting from the barrel of her long rifle.*
Metal Man (GM): BAM head shot indeed!
Grodus: "Gack! The evil Wolfman has foiled my ultimate defense!"
Valentine Kilmer: "It's your fault for not having a backup." *She then readies her next movement.*
Illusionist decides his invisibility magic needs a bit more practice to become effective. He shakes it off and tries something new: He slaps the air in front of himself, launching a spark toward Grodus, which would quickly burst into a brilliant and blinding flash. Will he be able to look away in time? :O
Wolfman: "Me, evil? Not anymore, bub."
Chancé: "Hmm, what to do.."
Digifanatic decides to take one more gamble until he goes more conservative... in the midst of the brawl (NOT melee :D) going on, it's time to go digital! He flips his Digivice out of his pocket and launches a big ol' Hyper Beam Matrix at Grody's head...
Alex Fender: "Not giving up just yet!" *he takes a deep breath in and bellows out the words, sending a blast of sound straight at Grodus with the force of a cannonball* "CLICK CLICK, BOOM!!!"
Chancé: "Ah, yes.."
Metal Man (GM): Grodus stares into the pretty spark of blinding! Then he dodges Digi's Hyper Beam Matrix ala the Matrix!
Chancé runs up to Grodus with his Twilight Mirror ready. Getting it in range of where in shield (made of energy) would appear.
Metal Man (GM): Then he leaps out of the way of Alex' soundblast! And he leaps out of the way of whatever Chancé did!
Alex Fender: "Grah... just don't feel right without a guitar..."
Digifanatic: "Didn't you just get one?"
Alex Fender: "Some weirdo mind one isn't the same!"
Metal Man: "All right... now to try again... ."
Aribar tries another Thunderstruck!* (Yay lack of description!)
Metal Man (GM): Metal Man attacks Grodus with... his Iron Tornado! Punch, shoot, punch, shoot... TT33-punching to the face! Grodus attempts to block... Hit by Thunderstruck... Hit by Tornado! Damage from Metal, his face getting more bent up and beaten. More from Aribar, his circuits taking a burning.
Wolfman: "But if you REALLY want me to be evil, Grodus... then take this!" *charges towards Grodus, giving a right punch, left cross, then a SMASHING right round-house towards his head, hopefully for a good knockout blow.*
Chancé: "Well, why not another potion? *Reaches into his pocket*"
Chancé pulls out another micro bottle of pink cola and tosses it at Grodus.
Metal Man (GM): Hit, miss, miss.
Dragoshi *Dragoshi then looks at Grodus' head... More specifically the clear glass part of it... He would then start twitch violently, his claws curling in and out, the pupils of his eyes looking rather small (I know there's a term for this, but I can't figure it out), a soured expression on his face, feet planted into the ground, tail wildy flailing back and forth, wings spread out... After that display, he would then make several nasty hacking and coughing sounds until, not one, not two, but three full-fledged Acidic Burst start flying at Grodus, the first two aiming at the clear glass part of his head, and the third flying at his eyes!*
Metal Man (GM): How about hitting three times in a row? No stack, but it DOES work.
Dragoshi: *Dragoshi would then clutch his chest and pant heavily, looking a bit worse for wear.* "Ugh... I forget that I always feel like crap after doing that... urgh." *He would then end his turn there, as he starts to regain his bearings...*
Illusionist idly flicks two more Flashes at Grodus, realizing that THIS is the right time to do it. He really should get more practice with combat.
Valentine Kilmer: *She hovers a bit closer to Grodus, seeing if she can get behind him and give him a surpise attack by returning the favor from earlier. She reaches into her lab coat and pulls out a small gun like object and points it towards the middle of his back, pulling the trigger as an electric like laser blast comes out of it, now only to shock him but shack his nervous system as well, cause his body to be completely stunned. And She pockets it and aims with the rifle to give him back another shot, using the supposed flank put the hurt on the enemy.*
Metal Man (GM): He shields his eyes. A lot. Hit, hit. He's much weaker now...
Alex Fender: "ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLRight! Maybe this time I can actually do something!" *with that, he leaps up, bringing his hands together in a hammer like fashion and bringing them CRASHING down onto the top of his head, making to smash him into the ground.*
Metal Man (GM): Hit. Barely.
Alex Fender: *CRUNCH* "WHOOO! Head On Collision, baby!"
Valentine Kilmer: "Seems the crazy one is good for something."
Wolfman: .oO(...he has to be Alright... now what else can I do to help... there needs to be something... at the risk of causing more destruction, maybe I can lift and throw something else... or just cause more ceiling tiles to break on him again.)
Digifanatic is almost at a loss for ideas, but the Stun suggests a bit of hope. Time to try one of the few things he hasn't done yet... he takes out the keytar and revs up the pitch counter for A Day in the Life.
Digifanatic: "Moderately long story, Alex... I'll get back to you on it later."
Metal Man (GM): He revs up, but is hit anyway.
Alex Fender: "...*twitch*..."
Trigger runs for Grodus again and starts to pummel him with a couple flip kicks and finishes it off with a super uppercut.
Digifanatic: "For now, I'll say I was an old friend of Scott's."
Metal Man (GM): Trigger misses with your flip kick.
Alex Fender: "Scotty?! Well, damn! How is it you get an ax and I don't?!"
Metal Man (GM): Hit...
Digifanatic: "I'll talk later..."
Dragoshi: *Was hoping for once that it wouldn't be. :/ Regardless, Dragoshi would then jump up into the air, and spread his wings out, then start violently twisting in mid-air for a second, the come crashing down on Grodus' head with an Aerodrill!*
Metal Man (GM): Hit.
Dragoshi: *Dragoshi would then be kneeling down on one knee after landing. He then gets up, and dusts himself off, waiting for Grodus' next move.*
Wolfman looks to Grodus, and decides to try something fancy this time. He remembers practicing this with Link once... he moves towards Grodus, rolls around him, and then uppercuts out of the roll to hopefully stun Grodus long enough for the others to get in their shots.
Metal Man (GM): He doesn't even try to block that. Wolfman knocks him for a loop! He attempts to counter with an overhead smash. It fails. Hit. He holds his face, his circuits on fire and his attack deflected. He attempts to move forward. Metal Man swings a fist. *SMASH.* His brain-dome is destroyed. He falls to the floor, KO'd.
Metal Man: "Well, that takes care of that."
Wolfman recovers from his parry uppercut, only to see Metal land the final blow.
Dragoshi: "Well, that was a good way to end it."
Aribar: "... That hopefully takes care of that."
Metal Man: "Good work, Questers. Not only did we teach Master Hand not to be naive, but we knocked out this loser."
Wolfman: "...apparently, I still got it, even if I don't have all of the skills you guys do."
Metal Man: "However..."
Aribar: "With our luck, he probably has another body or something.."
Digifanatic: "Better be the last fight in these halls for a while."
Dragoshi: "Yes?" *Glances at Metal.*
Metal Man: "There are more people. Tougher people. And they're SMART, like Ganondorf."
Dragoshi: "Of course."
Metal Man: "We're gonna have to do it carefully to avoid making a mess. We need to draw them into combat... in their own realms, you see. Get them beat up and then let their original foes defeat them."
Chancé: "Yeah, this guy's wheels fell off a while ago..." (and I may have helped a bit... <<)
Metal Man nods, as SIMBER appears and drags off Grodus. "This guy was their weakest man."
Dragoshi: "So... We make them come to us in their home realms?"
Wolfman: "...so we will have to do cross realm exploring again."
Valentine Kilmer: "That would be the plan."
Metal Man: "They knew I could handle myself, he was supposed to be just backup."
Digifanatic: "Eh, nothing too new."
Valentine Kilmer: "Seems you have new backup now, Metal Man."
Metal Man: "They never expected me to betray them... neither did I, but the money they offered me was, to put it lightly, not worth ignoring the Questers."
Dragoshi: "...I thought you were obscenely rich in the first place, anyway." >_>;;
Metal Man: "For once, an attempt to manipulate the Questers into doing the enemy's bidding is thwarted... Now it's our turn to manipulate the enemies!"
Wolfman: "...it sounds like there is a lot that needs to be discussed."
Wolfman: "...it is a saying from my world, Chancé."
Valentine Kilmer: "I'll continue to make items for the Questers for a price. The Phazon suits are ready if you need then. Now if you'll excuse me..." *She then hovers off.*
Metal Man reloads his gun. "Oh, yeah. I'll be sure to reward Panzer for her marksmanship--nobody else came close to catching me there..." *He walks off* "However, you guys remain in charge of your destiny. But I... shall advise you." *Walks off.*
Metal Man (GM): Mission Complete.
Dragoshi: "Fair enough."
Dragoshi: "Though... I'm gonna relax. I'm still somewhat stressed out at the moment." *Slumps forward a bit, and slowly moves forward.*
Trigger: "I need to rest myself..." *wanders off to rest.*
Digifanatic: "Okay, now that this is over..." *talks to the Illusionist* "Sorry you decided to pop in here with us at such an odd time."
Illusionist shrugs casually. "It wasn't my decision."
Digifanatic: "But, hopefully, things will be better soon and we will be able to do stuff in a more civilized atmosphere. Not your decision?"
Illusionist: "Correct. Not my decision."
Digifanatic: *sigh* "Not the only one... not that I was. I've just noticed it."
Illusionist: "Oh splendid. So why were the others brought here then?"
Digifanatic: "Hmm... I dunno. I think it was odd circumstance against their will." *Quickly changing his tone to a more optimistic one* "So, who are you? You seem to be worthy so far."
Dragoshi: *Also, for the sake of boredom, on the way out... Dragoshi pulls out the old Star Board he got from the TR base, gets on it, and tries to get it to work... Or to see if it still even works in the first place.*
Illusionist: "Worthy of what?"
Digifanatic: "Well, just someone who looks to be good at fighting and has a way to get around things... that disappearing act, for instance."
Wolfman follows the other... Questers? What are we called now? ...he followed them at a distance, trying to take everything in.
Wolfman: .oO(...my time spent AWOL has weakened me, but then again... I don't want to fight anymore. At least my memory has improved... somewhat. But soon, all of me will fail.)
Digifanatic: "I imagine it being useful in a big battle."
Illusionist: "Hrm. I don't know the first thing about fighting, really... but thank you. I am without a true name, so you could call me Illusionist, or even better, The Masked Illusionist... as I'm sure you've noticed the mask I wear."
Digifanatic: "Ah, yes... name's Ian 'Digifanatic' Hoffman--the middle name is obviously a nickname of mine. Call me what you wish. And 'Digi' works as well."
Illusionist: "Very well Mr. Hoffman. Might I interest you in something?"
Alex Fender: *is asleep against the nearby all, snoring softly.*
Digifanatic: "Sure, I'm open."
Illusionist: "Well... just name whatever you would like."
Digifanatic: "Hmm... give me a few seconds. Alright, something basic, a bottle of water. That shouldn't be too much of a hassle."
Illusionist shrugs and flicks his wrist. "This is quite an easy one. I do wish I had my wand, though... I would be able to cease this distracting hand-movement.."
Illusionist: *An unlabled 16oz bottle of water appears in Digi's hand.*
Digifanatic: "Oh, cool." *undoes the cap and take a sip out of it.*
Illusionist: You would taste the water, feel it... but it clearly lacks something.
Digifanatic: .oO(Hmm... that's odd.) "It's missing something..."
Illusionist: "Oh, of course it is. Did you pay attention to my name?.."
Digifanatic: "Yes. Illusionist, magic, yes... Some sort of... trick... to it?"
Illusionist: "Not at all..it is illusion magic. It isn't real. I'm sure the missing component you felt was the thirst-quenching aspect."
Illusionist: "An illusion is just a confusion of the five mortal senses. I could create the water bottle visually, I could make you believe you felt it, tasted it... but it could not do any more than make you believe it is real. It could not sustain your bodily needs."
Digifanatic: "That's cool."
Illusionist: "I'm very valuable to people on diets, too... They can eat my cake and not suffer the health consequences!"
Digifanatic: "There ya go!"
Illusionist: "Is there anything else you would like?"
Digifanatic: "Nah, I'm good, but keep it up. I hope you're able to use these abilities to a good extent here."
Illusionist: "With time."
Digifanatic: "Sounds like a plan." *extends a hand* "Mind? *
Illusionist shakes it?
Digifanatic: "Alright. Nice to know you." .oO(Dang, I need to talk to Alex... will not wake him up. I can talk later.)
