After Alys had thrown her last slicer into Doctor Wily's contraption, a huge explosion covered the entire area. Bowser, Ganondorf, and Dracula had reverted back to their original forms and decided to retreat. However, the damage caused was done.

Just about everyone was bruised, battered, and broken. No one wanted to get up from their area on the ground.

Melee Stadium proved to be a humongous mess...the entire place from the ground floor up was destroyed.

As if things weren't bad enough, Wolfman seemed to have disappeared.

While everyone was starting to get up, Mewtwo wondered where Wolfman had gone to. Instead, he noticed a common creatured dubbed a toad (mushroom kingdom toad that is) that seemed to be wearing a belt around his waist. Ruvyn had just woken up to notice him, and immediately screamed with delight: "VeeGEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!"

That screaming got everyone's attention. While some passed off what Ruvyn said as a hallucination, they soon realized that what he said was true, for there he was.

"It's good to see you again everyone...at least, in this form anyway," VG spoke. This was the [in]famous VGWarrior, known for pulling off nearly every move in the book--and then some. However, his powers seemed to have been weakened from that blast. He had left the Super Smash Stadium to leave the corruption that had taken place there. He had helped build Melee Stadium and also oversaw some of the items that were produced. One of them, the Transformer, was his favorite. With it, he could leave his old identity behind and start anew. Somehow, he was able to transform into a currently-living reploid named Wolfman, that mainly stayed around the year 21XX and fought with the Maverick Hunters. How Wolfman/VG managed to find a way BACK to the old familiar realms is a mystery, but it doesn't matter for this story.

In any case, VG could not transform back into Wolfman, and so he would have to help oversee things from a smaller height. After helping to clean up one of the basements with Mewtwo to provide sleeping areas for the Questers, they all went to work to rebuild the old Stadium. It took awhile, but the job got accomplished pretty quickly.

However, the Questers still wanted to help fight evil...but in their current states, they couldn't fight as effectively. They were stripped of all of their powers and extra lives; basically back to their pre-Quester state. Mewtwo was somehow driven to help out with that problem, and set to create a new system that would hopefully not fall under another infection.

Eventually, the new system was completed...but Mewtwo gave a disclaimer first. It would require that everyone learn to accept the use of magic...special moves could no longer be used. Other changes came here and there, but the other details will come later. In any case, the Questers agreed to accept the new limitations and reinitiated themselves.

After all was said and done, Mewtwo said the most uncharacteristic line for him of all time: "It's good to have you back Questers."
