Super Smash Quest - Story - Chapter 436: Haunted Questing
Date: June 12th, 2007.
Metal Man (GM): The Questers are at HQ.
King Demon is suddenly glad he doesn't wear much for clothes.
Metal Man (GM): Metal would be at the Big Room, reviewing what happened.
Dragoshi: *Good thing Drag took that Tektite hide off. >_>;;*
King Demon wanders into the room.
Wolfman is in the Big Room as well, having to listen to the review.
Metal Man: "...Okay... so Dr. Archellago stole the money, however he also apparently knew how to hide it."
Dahl: *Is in the big room as well.*
Alexia peers fearfully into the room, still wearing the cursed shirt.
Metal Man: "We have a couch, more or less, I just hope Alexia doesn't break it."
Julian: *Julian would be in his room/office, apparently having left the mission early after the spat in the Couch Shop. The Wolfos Hide would be somewhere on his floor.*
Alexia: "Is it gonna bite me?"
Metal Man: "Also, Alexia's shirt is cursed. Couldn't you have bought a shirt from somebody sane?"
King Demon: "You guys didn't get ANOTHER man-eating one, did you?"
Wolfman: "I didn't have any control over the shirt buying."
Dragoshi: "No. This couch is normal this time."
Metal Man: "Anyway... I thi..."
King Demon: "Good, I think..." *looks at Metal.*
Metal Man (GM): Alexia's shirt glows and some strange ethereal being exits it.
Alexia: "Are you sure?"
King Demon: "Alex, who's that?"
Alexia: "..."
Dragoshi: *Sees what the shirt just did there.* "...Looks like Garrick was right." >_>;;
Metal Man (GM): The lights flicker as it looks at Alexia, and then steals a large remote control and flies out a window.
Traon: "You just got jacked."
Metal Man (GM): The Questers saw a vaguely blue outline there; it was sort of a phantom. Now it's escaped.
Wolfman attempts to get a look at the remote control that was taken.
Metal Man (GM): Professor Oak walks in.
Alexia: "...Uh..."
Professor Oak: "What was that that just stole my remote control?"
Dragoshi: "What was the remote control for?"
Dahl: "...Oh boy..." *facepalms.*
Traon: "A phantom thingy living in Alexia's shirt."
Wolfman: .oO(...how does Oak lose everything?)
Professor Oak: "It was somewhat important. My study of pokemon control via technology could revolutionize the world!"
Traon: "I say kill all the little..." he trails off and goes quiet.
Dragoshi: "...Ah."
Wolfman: "...since when did you want to take control of pokemon?"
Professor Oak: "...I see." *He looks at his dex.* "Whatever it was, it apparently escaped from that shirt, and is now on the loose somewhere else..."
Wolfman: .oO(This entire place has gone crazy.)
Professor Oak: "Oh, no. It doesn't control unwilling pokemon."
King Demon: "Great, THIS'LL be fun..."
Professor Oak: "It just acts as a proxy for their masters."
Alexia: "...There was a ghost living in my shirt? That's not natural, even for us."
Professor Oak: "In order to generate power, I've had to tell the same pokemon to generate electricity constantly."
Traon: "There might be another one, you might want to hurry up and lose that thing."
Professor Oak: "Over the years it has lost its charm, as every day I must tell the Electrodes to use Thundershock..."
Alexia: "I don't have another shirt to wear."
Wolfman just gets out of that conversation.
Professor Oak: "Your shirt is actually fine now. The ghost that inhabited it is now... ..." *He looks on his dex.* "...Running amok."
Wolfman: "But doesn't that mean the Questers have to get it back?"
Metal Man (GM): He goes to turn on the TV, but realizes he has no remote, and so turns it on manually.
Alexia: "...Dare I ask how so?"
Dahl: "So ...Shall we go after it?"
Wolfman: "And if so, where does the ghost... well, go?"
Traon: "I don't really want any part in this hunt..."
Reporter: "This just in: Several haunted houses on the outskirts of Toad Town have suddenly become plagued by explosions. People report visions of past enemies, and ghost pokemon attacks!"
King Demon: "I say, 'Let's go Ghostbusting!'"
Wolfman: "...NOT AGAIN!"
Alexia: "..."
King Demon: "Or... not?"
Alexia headwalls repeatedly.
Wolfman is REALLY ANGRY right now. .oO(Why must Toad Town be destroyed... AGAIN?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?)
Alexia: *long sigh.* "Oak, will we need to capture those ghost Pokemon?"
Reporter: "Toad Town itself is safe... although attempts to drive in and out have been problematic."
Traon: "I find this quite funny."
Reporter: "If unchecked, the ghosts could invade by sundown."
Professor Oak: "I guess you'll have to find and defeat whatever that thing was... unless you want Toad Town to become haunted."
Traon: "I think Toad Town should change locations. Maybe they'll be safer then."
Metal Man: "At least it's something to do. Dr. Archellago is incredibly hard to trace..."
Wolfman: "...great: another mission that I'll need to help out with."
Metal Man looks at several maps. "He's been all over the globe in the last year alone."
King Demon: "So, do we go after the ghost HERE or the ones in Toad Town?"
Metal Man: "The ghost we just saw went TO Toad Town. They are one in the same... so you go after the one in there."
Wolfman: "Get the warp open please."
King Demon: "Oh, nevermind then..."
Dragoshi: "..."
King Demon grabs his... CRAP!
Metal Man turns on the warp. "As you wish."
King Demon: "Uh, hey Metal, any chance I can get a new sword? Mine got broke last mission!"
Dragoshi: "...Don't you still have your Tinfoil sword?"
Metal Man: "Perhaps you should find a new one?"
Alexia: "...I think I might change shirts beforehand. Maybe I can borrow one from Julian..."
Julian: *on phone.* "...-shows. I mean, have you even looked at what they got on block as of late, Marty? Nothin' but NASKART and That's My Soni-" *Mission sign goes off in Julian's room.* "Crap, mission's starting. We'll pick this up when I get back. Peace." *Julian hangs up, grabs his fedora, and heads for the big room.*
King Demon: "Yeah, well, in the meantime, I still have the foil one... Where's Hop? I need an upgrade!"
Alexia starts heading up to Julian's room... did he lock his door beforehand?
Julian: *Julian would have locked his door behind him.*
Alexia: "...Hey, Julian, can I borrow a shirt from you?"
Metal Man twiddles his fingers as the Questers disperse everywhere. "Perhaps the next mission should be 'Everybody must enter the portal within 10 seconds of everybody else.'"
Julian: *Julian, after recovering from the shock of Alexia appearing in front of him from thin air, speaks.* "I don't think I got anything that'll fit you, kid."
Alexia: "Can I at least look?"
King Demon goes through the portal.
Wolfman: *still in Big Room.*
Metal Man (GM): Portal is open; has been open for a tiny bit.
Wolfman: "...I wish you luck on that one Metal."
Dragoshi: *Moseys on through the portal because yes.*
Wolfman enters with Demon: Dahl rides on him.
Julian: *Julian shrugs.* "If you want..." *and heads back to his room to unlock it.*
Alexia: "Thanks!" *heads into Julian's room and starts looking around a bit.*
King Demon says magic words and summons Garrick.
Garrick: "Waaaaait!!"
Metal Man: "Okaaaaaaaaaaaaay."
Julian: *Julian's room being generally tidy aside from the Wolfos Hide on the floor, Alexia would be able to find Julian's closet rather easily. Inside, there would be... let's see, a couple of suits and dress shirts to go with them; a New York Knicks jersey with the number 19 on the back, with SAWYER above it; a whole lot of white wifebeaters and sleeveless T-Shirts; jeans; and some leather vests.*
Metal Man continues sitting next to the warp.
Julian: *Julian waits outside of his room for Alexia to hurry up and pick something...*
Alexia stares bewilderedly into the closet. "...Zelkfa, Ai, please forgive me for what I am about to do."
King Demon: *Dragoshi whomps Wolfman with a snowboard.
Alexia grabs the Wolfos hide and wraps it around herself like a cloak, then heads out.
Garrick: *runs into the Big Room most likely, panting..* "Sorry... got caught up with something on the ship..."
Alexia then runs out of Julian's room and heads into the portal.
Julian: *Julian sees Alexia run by, then goes to close and lock his door and head for the Big Room, finally.* .oO(Hope I get that back.)
Garrick: "Where are we headed?"
Metal Man: "To haunted houses near the outside of Toad Town."
Garrick: "Ahhh, alright... warp?"
Julian: "Hell if I know." *Julian heads into the warp after he enters the Big Room.*
King Demon sees Alex in the wolfos rug thing and draws his sword, readying it to attack her.
Wolfman had entered the warp before Alexia chosen the clothes.
Garrick: "...you know that thing's cursed, right Alexia..?"
King Demon had as well.
Alexia: *Already warped, sorry.*
Dragoshi: *Same as Wolf and Demon.*
Metal Man (GM): And to prevent any more confusion...
Garrick: *sighs and walks into the warp.*
Metal Man (GM): WARPWARPWARP.
Julian: *Julian didn't hear that either.*
King Demon is in TT thinking Alex is a Wolfos, and about to kill her.
Metal Man (GM): The group appears at the entry-point to an entire town of haunted houses. Demon has his sword ready to attack Alexia, who looks somewhat like a Wolfos.
Wolfman is back on another mission...
Metal Man (GM): The Questers realize... ...this place was Toad Town once, too. Toad Town 2, the one originally destroyed by Smithy.
Wolfman: .oO(...I need to stop trying to Protect Toad Town... wait a second. ...this place WAS Toad Town!)
Dragoshi: "...?"
Alexia: "Boy, you would think nobody'd even live in Toad Town anymore."
Julian: "...Demon, what the hell are you doin'?"
Wolfman: "...I'm extremely angry right now."
Metal Man (GM): There's nothing left of the old castle (which was moved) or Exor (which was also moved), but there's lots of abandoned houses.
Garrick: "Alexia is in that haunted shirt, isn't she?"
King Demon: "Huh?" *realizes that it's Alexia.* "Oh, oops, sorry..."
Julian: "Haunted?"
Wolfman: "Bicker later. Everyone, get either your sharp weapons or magic missiles ready. We have a ghost to hunt."
Garrick: "Erm, sorry... I meant cursed."
Metal Man (GM): Most of the houses immediately nearby seem not haunted.
Julian: "This is news to me."
Metal Man (GM): This entire place is deserted.
King Demon sighs and looks around the area.
Garrick: "That shirt you got from the doctor in the village?"
Julian: "Hide."
Garrick: "Yeah, according to Aribar, they're all cursed in some way."
Alexia heads over to the nearest house and knocks on the door.
Garrick: "At least, that's what he told me, and since the doctor DID try to kill us..."
Julian: "...Well that's just fuckin' great. Paid 50K for that..."
Dragoshi: "..." *Tries to search for anything related to ghostly or paranormal activity in the general area.*
Garrick: "But he's the one that has the stadium's money."
Wolfman performs a similar action as Dragoshi, though he attempts to use his reploid-ic nose... for whatever good that does.
Julian: "So we find him an' stop his ass an' get the money back."
Metal Man (GM): The Questers look around, and determine that there's no paranormal activity at this part of the town.
Garrick: "Find him, at least... interrogate him... he was very big into saying that if we killed him, we never got the money."
Metal Man (GM): One can walk further in, though.
King Demon does so.
Wolfman: "I couldn't get anything. Dragoshi, yourself?"
Garrick: "Anyway, let's do what we need to do here."
Dragoshi: *Walks further in, then...* "Nada."
Metal Man (GM): *Crunch.* *Crunch.* This Toad Town is old school. Dirt roads, even.
Julian: "Whatever." *Julian heads on down the path.*
Wolfman follows Dragoshi then.
Garrick: *moves on further into the town.*
Alexia: "Hrm..."
Metal Man (GM): All the street signs are rusted, and most of the buildings have big chunks out of them.
Alexia follows the others down the path.
Metal Man (GM): A wind blows down the path...
Julian: "Fuckin' ghosts..."
Wolfman is sensing something... but what?
Metal Man (GM): The wind, for most Questers, appears to be carrying with it a horde of people saying "Diieeeeeeeee"... that's rather unsettling. At least, the sound of those people.
Garrick: "...wonderful."
King Demon: "Ok... that's weird..."
Metal Man (GM): It's coming from further up the path, too.
Dragoshi: "...Hoo boy."
Julian: "What else is new..." *More walkin'.*
King Demon looks at the direction of the wind and starts that way.
Dragoshi: *Moseying on along...*
Wolfman is unsure what the other Questers are feeling.
Alexia blinks and wraps the hide a bit tighter around herself as she continues onwards nervously.
Metal Man (GM): The Questers walk into a central area. A big circular plaza.
King Demon looks around at the scenery.
Wolfman: .oO(...it's just the wind...)
Wolfman follows.
Metal Man (GM): But instead of vendors and Toads milling around, the Questers see a pile of rocks. There's a mound in the middle of this plaza.
Julian: "..."
King Demon looks at the mound.
Metal Man (GM): The path also goes to the right, straight ahead, and to the left.
Julian: "This ain't gonna turn out well."
Garrick: *keeps going as well.* "...well, let's see..."
Wolfman: "...a split path?"
Julian: *Right Path!* :D
Garrick: "Considering the breeze came from straight ahead... I'd say that way... but, whatever." *shoves his hands into his pockets and follows Julian.*
Metal Man (GM): Julian walks off to the right... ...that won't do. The bridge across this large river here is busted.
Alexia heads straight ahead.
King Demon goes straight ahead.
Metal Man (GM): Alexia wanders off, alone, towards what may be her doom.
Wolfman goes with Garrick's advice and goes straight ahead, following Alexia.
Metal Man (GM): ...Followed by a demon.
Julian: "..." *Julian turns back and heads for the center path.*
Dragoshi: *Follows the three.*
Garrick: *shrugs and goes forward.*
Metal Man (GM): The others is now going straight forward. Here they finally find a haunted house. At least... it LOOKS haunted... somebody's gotta knock on the door.
King Demon shrugs and does so.
Julian: "Not it."
Wolfman: "Well, we're here."
Dragoshi: "Not it."
Alexia: *bangs on the door.* "Hello? Anyone home?"
Metal Man (GM): *Knock knock.* *Knock.* Alexia and Demon fight over who knocks on the door.
King Demon steps back and lets Alexia do it this time.
Metal Man (GM): In the end, the door opens wildly and smacks BOTH of them off the steps! Then it closes again. Ghastly laughter is heard.
Garrick: "...nice job, you two."
King Demon: "..." ok, now I'm mad...
Alexia: "Okay, that does it..."
Wolfman just chuckles, having some of his anger go away.
Julian: "..." *snaps fingers.* "Drago, burn the house down."
King Demon starts charging up a fireball.
Alexia gets up and gives the door a good, stiff kick.
Wolfman then gets serious.
Garrick: "...aren't we looking for a shirt?"
Wolfman: "I'm unsure if we should just BURN the house."
Metal Man (GM): The door moves out of the way of Alexia's kick just in time.
Julian: "We're lookin' for a ghost."
Metal Man (GM): Alexia fall on her back and slides backwards down the stairs.
Julian: "If the ghost don't have anything to haunt, we'll see it."
Wolfman goes for a different approach.
Garrick: *...shrug.* "Good point."
Dragoshi: "..." *Shoots the door down with a fire shot from his machinegun... If it's still there.*
Wolfman goes up to the door... or at least, 5 feet away. He then attempts talking. "Hello?"
King Demon fireballs the door, hopefully.
Alexia: "...I hate prankster ghosts."
???: "Another door to door salesman?"
Wolfman: "Actually, no."
Metal Man (GM): Wolfman is hit in the back of the head by the fireball.
???: "Ha ha ha ha haaaa!"
Dragoshi: "...No."
Wolfman: "We're the Ques--" *OOMPH.*
Alexia gets up again and brushes some of the dirt off of herself.
Garrick: "...do you have a shirt, mysterious voice?"
King Demon: "I didn't do it!"
???: "Quesadillas? I hate Quesadillas!" *Door slams shut.*
Wolfman: "But we're not Quesadillas!"
Garrick: "...Questers. We're Questers..."
Alexia: "Can we come in, please?"
???: "Oh. Come right in then." The front door opens.
Julian: "We're lookin' for a ghost. You haunt any shirts lately?"
Alexia: "Thank you."
Wolfman just shrugs everything off... and enters.
Garrick: "...that was easy." *walks in.*
Alexia heads up the steps and into the house.
King Demon walks in as well.
Dragoshi: "...Thanks." *Puts machinegun away and walks in...*
Metal Man (GM): A piano falls off the second story and onto everybody who went to enter!
Julian: *Waits for everyone to head in first... Boom.*
Metal Man (GM): *BLAM* Damage to those who tried to enter and the door in is now blocked. Plus... comedic piano noise!
King Demon attempts to dodge... or not?
Julian: *KLUNGE.*
Dragoshi: *Eats an Ultra Shroom. :p*
Wolfman is bonked, keyed, damaged, etc.
Alexia staggers to her feet and spits out a piano key.
King Demon sighs.
Julian: "So are we gonna burn the house down or not?"
King Demon: "I really hate ghosts..."
Garrick: "For once, I agree with Julian. Toast it."
Alexia: "...Do you get the sinking feeling that we're being really outsmarted?"
Julian: *Did NOT enter the house.*
Wolfman got the piano treatment.
Alexia Mends the others and pulls a piano wire out of her arm.
Dragoshi: "Nah. We're just falling for something that we should've expected."
???: *Imitates the voice of Wolfman.* "Yes. Torch the place!"
Wolfman: "...I did not say that!"
Dragoshi: "Also, I'm not listening to a ghost that agrees with someone."
King Demon looks around the house or whatever they're in. "Why don't you come out and show yourself?"
Metal Man (GM): It's an old, Victorian house. The Toads were so considerate when designing it to apparently include bars on every window.
Wolfman: "Can we at least know who you are? After all, you did invite us in... comically."
Alexia: "Hrm..."
???: "Yes, but you must walk up to the piano first."
King Demon: "Be my guest..."
Garrick: "I'LL do it..."
Alexia: *Looks for sharp pieces of wood in the piano wreckage.*
Wolfman: "It already fell on us. Why should we have to walk over to it when it's already close enough by?"
Julian: "Your funeral."
Alexia: "I'll do it. There's something I need to check out, anyways."
Wolfman just shrugs.
Garrick: *grumbles and walks up to the piano, ready to dodge at a moment's notice.*
Wolfman: .oO(...I'm really in for it.)
Metal Man (GM): The piano comes flying down at Garrick!
Wolfman takes the BACK.
Metal Man (GM): It was standing on its edge, and now it's been toppled at him!
Alexia: "...Or maybe not."
Metal Man (GM): *SPLAT.* *SPLAT.*
Dragoshi: *Goes to the back as well.*
Metal Man (GM): Also, Garrick has a piano atop him.
???: "You are such funny people. I should invite you to bathe in gasoline!"
Dragoshi: *Checking the back of the house because yes.*
Wolfman: "I'd rather decline that invitation, thank you."
Metal Man (GM): Back of the house is barred up and covered in boards.
Garrick: *hefts the thing OFF him..*
Julian: "I'm not settin' foot inside. Bad enough that I'm in Toad Town."
Garrick: "I HATE ghosts..."
Metal Man (GM): Ah... Garrick picks up the piano, only to be hit by Demon's fireball.
Garrick: "GRAH!"
Metal Man (GM): Demon's theme today is "Friendly Fire."
King Demon fireballed someone? When did he do that?
Garrick: *slam.*
Dragoshi: *evade.*
Alexia: "...Wow. The Three Stooges live."
Metal Man (GM): Demon evades, while a fake fireball fools Garrick into falling over.
King Demon laughs a little at Garrick.
???: "Come in now... if you dare!" The voice becomes distant.
Dragoshi: "...Okay, now how to deal with these boards..."
Garrick: "...I'll rip that damn ghost into shreds!"
Julian: *Facepalm.* "I'm gonna go check out the left path 'fore we go any further..." *Julian heads back to the crossroads and takes the left path to check it out.*
Garrick: *draws his sword and makes to walk in.*
Alexia: "Hrm..."
Metal Man (GM): Julian walks into the plaza alone...
King Demon goes to... wherever it seems the voice is coming from.
Metal Man (GM): ...The stones from the pile come to life and fly at him.
Wolfman: "Just slash them Dragoshi?"
Dragoshi: "...'Kay." *Tries to do so...*
Alexia cautiously approaches the house...
Metal Man (GM): Meanwhile, Demon enters the house; he'd see a foyer of sorts, with a self-rocking chair and stairs up. There's also a door on the first floor.
King Demon: "..."
Metal Man (GM): *WHACK.*
Julian: *OW.*
King Demon starts up the stairs cautiously.
Metal Man (GM): One hits Julian in the forehead.
Julian: *Retreat!*
Metal Man (GM): Demon steps up the stairs... ... *CRACK.* *COLLAPSE.*
Dragoshi: "...Bah. Never mind. I'll go check to see if the others made any progress." *Goes back to the front of the house.*
Alexia then heads into the house, picking up a piece of wood from the piano as she enters.
Metal Man (GM): Dragoshi hear a small explosion, and Demon taking damage.
Wolfman would hear the crack as well: he was with Dragoshi.
Metal Man (GM): The stairs are in pieces around him.
King Demon shoulda FLEW up the stairs instead!
Julian: *Julian walks back to the group, rubbing his forehead.* "Can't go back..." *Hears the collapse.* "Can't go forward..."
King Demon angrily fireballs the door.
Garrick: "Different path, then..." *makes to open the door..*
Metal Man (GM): The door explodes off and flies at both Garrick and Julian!
Dragoshi: *Enters through the house after the door explodes off. >_>;;*
Julian: *Julian was still outside the house... and kinda not anywhere near the door.*
Metal Man (GM): It flies off the hinges from being fireballed and flies through the air. *SMACK*
Wolfman follows Dragoshi... again, AFTER the door explodes off.
Metal Man (GM): *WHIFF.* Yes.
Garrick: "...DAMN IT, DEMON! STOP FIREBALLING SHIT!!!"
Julian: "What the fu-" *sidestep.* "-ck is goin' on?"
Alexia blinks, then shrugs and Mindblasts the wall.
Dragoshi: *Okay, now Dragoshi enters the house.*
Metal Man (GM): The wall flies at Dragoshi. Bad coincidences, people!
Wolfman didn't follow JUST yet... uh oh.
Garrick: *makes to go through the now empty doorframe..?*
King Demon sighs and goes through the now-opened door.
Dragoshi: *SMACK or WHIFF?*
Julian: *Stays FAR AWAY from the fucking house.* e_e
Metal Man (GM): Dragoshi ducks as it flies over him and lands in the pile near the destroyed staircase. The door into the house is gone; the door further inside is still locked.
Dragoshi: "...That's a rather warm me way to greet me." >_>;;
Wolfman: "...alright, so how do we go about this one?"
Alexia then quickly runs through the door before the walls decide to kill her.
Metal Man (GM): There's also an upstairs. The first floor door, blown to pieces (and a big hunk of the wall missing) opens to reveal... ...a dining room.
King Demon is going for that door.
Metal Man (GM): In fact, there's an entire cupboard full of dishes. Silverware is laid out. For a meal that was never started.
Alexia then glances down and notices that a few of the hairs from the hide apparently fell into an open wound...
Wolfman: "Since it's only fair, I'll lead this one."
Garrick: "...lovely..."
Alexia: "...Oh, hell."
Wolfman approaches the dining room... slowly.
Alexia sighs and continues into the dining room.
Wolfman: "Alright, I'm here. Have your fun."
Julian: *Julian, still outside the house, calls up Garrick on the Dex.* "What's goin' on now?"
King Demon approaches it as well. "FUN!? YOU THINK THIS IS FUN!?"
Metal Man (GM): Some Questers slowly walk into the room. A board creaks; otherwise, it is silent.
Garrick: *reaches into his pocket and opens it up.* "Dining room... watch out for flying forks and knives..."
Metal Man (GM): One can continue forward into some sort of long hallway, or perhaps to the right into a library.
Wolfman: "This ghost has a strange sense of humor. I'm merely trying to figure it out." *sees the library...*
Alexia: "...Those cartoons with the coyote and the roadrunner?"
Wolfman: "...it has been a while since I've read a good book." *will take the Library path.*
Garrick: "...looks like a library and a hallway... eh..."
Alexia heads into the hallway.
Metal Man (GM): Wolfman walks into the library.
King Demon: "For some reason, I don't picture you curling up with a good book Wolf..."
Metal Man (GM): Alexia into the hallway.
King Demon does so as well.
Garrick: *moves on inside, following Alexia..*
Dragoshi: *Waits for something to happen before going through the dining room, then into the library.*
King Demon goes to the library I mean.
Dragoshi: *...Sees that nothing happens, so he goes into the library.*
Dahl: *Library.*

Metal Man (GM): Blackbeard the pirate...
Wolfman hopes to find a good book in relation to... hmm... history 50 years ago.
Metal Man (GM): Wolfman finds one. 'Olde Timey Nintendus.'
Dragoshi: *Searches for the hidden switch in the bookshelf that'll replace the broken staircase with a metal one. :p*
Wolfman: "Ah... there we go. History."
King Demon looks for one centering on Demons.
Metal Man (GM): It shows Mario in 8-bit fighting Bowser. They had bad picture-taking technology back then.
Alexia: "..."
Wolfman reads up on Olde Timey Nintendus.
Alexia: *shouting at the walls and halls.* "YOU'LL NEVER KNOCK US DOWN, YOU KNOW!"
Metal Man (GM): 'Back when, Mario fought only Bowser, fighting Mushroom Kingdom citizens turned into Goombas...' Strange noises are heard... and... ...
Garrick: "...Alexia... shut up. Please?"
Metal Man (GM): *Poof.*
Wolfman tries to go back even more... this is recent history.
Metal Man (GM): The Blackbeard book opens up, and out comes a pirate made of paper.
Alexia: "Sorry. Sometimes you have to yell."
King Demon: "You have GOT to be kidding..."
Metal Man (GM): Then the Old Timey Nintendus book shoots out a rather old-looking Link.
Garrick: "Don't encourage him!"
King Demon draws his tin sword.
Julian: "The hell is Alexia yellin' about?"
Dragoshi: "...Paper pirates? Hoo boy."
Metal Man (GM): An entirely pitch-black Link.
Dragoshi: "..."
Wolfman backs up upon seeing the Book become Link.
Alexia continues down the hallway.
Metal Man (GM): Also, the Questers see a giant paper bird fly out of the 1001 nights.
Wolfman: "...I wanted to read history, not BE history."
Pirate: "Arrrr! Who be ye, who enter this library?"
Garrick: *walks with her.*
Bird: *Screeech.*
King Demon: "We be... Questers!"
Dahl: "U-umm... should we run?" *moves her hand quickly to the hilt of her sword.*
Wolfman will have to use pirate talk again.
Dark Link: *Mindlessly attempts to stab Wolfman.*
King Demon: "You be... Blackbeard?"
Wolfman: "Arr. We be searching for *OW* the captain of *MISS* this landlubber h*OW*se!"
Pirate: "Arrr... yes... this be the cursed library... all who enter here... become BOOKS!"
Dragoshi: "We don't plan on doing that any time soon..."
King Demon: "Uh... no thanks, I'd rather burn them than be them!" *fireballs Blackbeard.*
Pirate: "Then you'll just have to be punctuated then! Arrrrrrr!!!!"
Wolfman: "For once, I'm with you Demon."
Dragoshi: *Gets into stance...*
Metal Man (GM): He catches on fire and burns to dust. Meanwhile, Dark Link imitates Demon and shoots a fireball at Wolfman.
King Demon: "Hmmm, that was easier than I thought..."
Wolfman: *OOMPH.* "THAT'S IT!"
Dragoshi: *Breathes fire on the bird, because yes.*
Wolfman tears into Dark Link with his own dual claws.
Metal Man (GM): And damage to Wolfman. The bird catches on fire and disintegrates. The book aparritions are defeated. However, the battle isn't over. The entire bookcase goes to fall on the Questers!
Wolfman: "..."
Dragoshi: *Dances outta the way! Wheee.*
Wolfman hopes for good melee shield rolling now.
Dragoshi: "And, that's why dancing skills pay off."
King Demon gets a bookcase on top of him. "Ouch..."
Metal Man (GM): Anyway... the Library area is cleared. Nothing else in here of interest.
Dahl: *gets caught under the bookcase.* "Ooooooowww!"
Dragoshi: *Goes to pull Dahl out from under the bookcase.*
King Demon shoves the bookcase off of him and returns to the dining room, then to the hallway.
Metal Man (GM): Going back to the hallway... the Questers see Garrick is STILL walking down it. It's like... the endless hallway!
Dahl: *is pulled out.* "Ugh."
King Demon runs up to Garrick.
Julian: "You still in the hallway?"
Garrick: "...is it just me, or is this hallway really, really long?"
Wolfman just shakes the cobwebs.
Metal Man (GM): Garrick, despite walking in it for quite a while, seems only to stay in the middle of it.
King Demon: "Didn't know the house was this big... Maybe we should go back?"
Garrick: "...damn mind trick."
Dragoshi: *Would then proceed to the leave the library and enter the hallway because yes.*
King Demon attempts to go back to the dining room from the hallway.
Dahl: *Follows.*
Metal Man (GM): Dragoshi catches immediately up to Garrick and realizes the hallway doesn't seem to let him go any further... as do the others...
Garrick: *grumbles, turns around and walks back into the main room, going to the staircase and checking to see just how much one would need to jump to get to the top.*
Metal Man (GM): Attempting to go back is impossible, as the hallway seems infinite in the back direction too.
Garrick: *or not.*
Wolfman hasn't entered the hallway yet.
Alexia: "...Did we enter an episode of Twilight Zone?"
Metal Man (GM): Wolfman would see something's odd.
Garrick: *just stands there.*
King Demon: "OK, I'm about to get Fireball happy..."
Dragoshi: *Tries to run so fast that he slips out of the ever looping hallway and into the next room?*
Dahl: *glances around the area.*
Garrick: "Don't fire another frickin fireball..."
Metal Man (GM): Dahl sees endlessly repeating paintings. Dragoshi runs really fast, yet to the rest of group, he never leaves.
King Demon: "Why not? It's worked ok so far!"
Dragoshi: "Dang... That idea didn't work."
Alexia scratches a streak onto the wall with a Psy Needle as she tries to figure out what's going on...
Garrick: "DON'T."
Julian: "Are you guys STILL in the hallway?"
Metal Man (GM): Julian sees that it's beginning to get dark outside.
Garrick: "It's a frickin repeating hallway, Julian! Maybe you should come inside and help figure it out!!"
Metal Man (GM): The streak seems to stay with Alexia, as she is trapped in the center of the hallway.
Julian: *._.* "I'm not steppin' inside that damn house."
Garrick: "Yeah, figured."
Wolfman checks to see if there is another exit out of this library besides the hallway.
Alexia tries tossing a needle into the floor.
Garrick: *hrms, then stomps on the ground a few times...*
King Demon slices the painting.
Dragoshi: *Tries to put his hand on the streak to see if his hand goes through it...*
Julian: "It's gettin' dark out here, though."
Metal Man (GM): Through the dining room, one can get back to the Foyer.
Dahl: "... alright I have an idea... if it can negate mind effects it might be able to stop the loop!" *tries to energy control the area.*
Metal Man (GM): Dragoshi feels that the streak is real.
Wolfman goes back to the Foyer then.
Dragoshi: *Knocks on the wall. He checks if it is hollow.*
Metal Man (GM): Demon causes a painting to fly off the wall.
Dahl: "Ick."
King Demon: "Well, that didn't work right..."
Metal Man (GM): The ground vibrates for 3 seconds, then stays normal.
Garrick: *...stomps again.*
King Demon: "...hmmmmmmmmmmm..." *goes to find another painting to slice.*
Alexia glances at Garrick, then stomps in unison with him.
Metal Man (GM): Only one Demon can reach is on the other side of the wall.
Dahl: *would try again.*
Metal Man (GM): Julian would see the house is now shaking somewhat... ...but he hears wolves howling in the distance.
Julian: "You said that Wolfos Hide was cursed, righ'? Might want to watch out for Lex if what I'm thinkin' is... Aw shit."
Dragoshi: *Shoots the floor around him in a circular motion.* <_>
Wolfman takes a look up above, where the stairs were. There did used to be stairs, but they had to go somewhere. Perhaps flying up there would be of help? *attempts to do so.*
Alexia: "...I hear wolves..."
Metal Man (GM): The illusion is ended...
King Demon slams his sword into the floor.
Metal Man (GM): ...The Questers discover they've been walking into a wall all this time.
Garrick: "..."
Dragoshi: "..." >_>;;
Alexia: "..."
King Demon: "..."
Dahl: "...huh ..."
King Demon smacks the wall with his sword.
Julian: *Julian inches closer to the house after hearing the wolves...*
Alexia: *just... continues.*
Garrick: "...I'm going to kill that blasted ghost..." *keeps moving.*
King Demon returns to the Foyer.
Metal Man (GM): The wall is in the way. Unless one goes to the foyer.
Dragoshi: *Walks away to the foyer so he can climb up the stairs.*
Alexia: *very quickly and silently.* "NowolvesinthehousenowolvesinthehouseNOWOLVESINTHEHOUSE..."
Metal Man (GM): The stairs already were destroyed.
Dahl: *heads into the Foyer.*
Metal Man (GM): Wolfman flies up to the second floor.
Alexia heads back to the foyer.
Metal Man (GM): Julian hear a new noise along with the wolves. Rocks... ...and Boos... and Haunters...
King Demon flies to the second floor as well.
Wolfman gets a look at the second floor to see what's worth exploring.
Dragoshi: *Tries to climb up the wall where the stairs were...*
Metal Man (GM): The flying rocks which hit Julian earlier.
Garrick: *sighs and moves back to the foyer... making to go up to the second floor as well, doing like Dragoshi does.*
Metal Man (GM): Dragoshi climbs up to the second floor. Garrick climbs up... slowly. The second floor consists of 3 doors; the one dead ahead is blocked by a field.
King Demon flies up there.
Wolfman wonders what the other doors lead to.
Metal Man (GM): A force field. One to the left is boarded up; the one on the right says 'DANG OM PIT'
King Demon sighs.
Dahl: *umm follows after the others.*
King Demon smacks the door on the right.
Julian: *Julian inches CLOSER to the house, getting as close to the proch as he can without setting foot on it... ghosts.* :(
Metal Man (GM): The door breaks and Demon falls down into what appears to be a bottomless pit down there. As the floor to the right collapses. Very loudly.
Garrick: *fires out and reaches to grab him before he falls.*
King Demon tries to grab the ledge before he falls.
Metal Man (GM): Garrick's fast enough, but is he strong enough? He grabs Demon from the brink and drags him up, the sign stuck to his face.
Dahl: *climbs up after the others and runs over to them to try and help.*
Wolfman looks to the door on the left... with the boards. He tries to think of a way to properly remove the boards without causing trouble to the house... or himself.
Garrick: "Be more careful."
Metal Man (GM): Wolfman might be able to do that.
King Demon: "I REALLY hate ghosts..."
Metal Man (GM): The sun sets, and Julian sees... ...red eyes in the darkness.
King Demon looks back at the pit, making sure there's nothing in the room.
Metal Man (GM): The house itself is lit up.
Garrick: *sets him down on stable ground, then looks to the boarded up door... he checks what is holding the boards on. *
Metal Man (GM): Nails.
Garrick: "I got this."
Wolfman: "...nails on the boards... understood Garrick." *gets out of the way.*
Garrick: *reaches into his jacket pocket and pulls out his Multitool! and makes to use a little simple engineering to get those boards down easy.*
Metal Man (GM): Yeah.
Julian: .oO(Fuck man, why there gotta be ghosts... and wolves... an' flyin' rocks... an' red ey-OH FUCK!) *OHFUCKOHFUCKRUN AND GET INSIDE THE HOUSE OHFUCK D:*
Metal Man (GM): Garrick takes off the boards. Julian runs inside the house. The door shuts behind him. He'd see the Questers trying to pry open a door to the left on the second floor. The door is revealed, but it's also locked.
Garrick: "Alright... now for a little unlocking action..."
Dahl: "When we find the ghosts... how are we going to deal with them?"
Julian: *Hears the door slam behind him.* "...Shit."
Garrick: *kneels down a bit and makes to use his Multitool! to unlock the door.*
Metal Man (GM): The door suddenly opens again. Julian sees wolves flanked by Boos and Haunters. And rocks.
King Demon sitting in the middle of the hallway.
Metal Man (GM): The door unlocks. It opens.
Julian: "..." *RUN AWAY!*
Dragoshi: "...Eh."
Garrick: "Cake."
Julian: *TOWARDS EVERYONE :O*
Metal Man (GM): Guns are activated by the door opening.
Dahl: "Where is cake" *looks around.*
Dragoshi: *Good thing he still has Lighttech stuff. ...Like his machinegun. And his scythe.*
Metal Man (GM): *BLAM BLAM BLAM* They fire at everybody near that door.
Garrick: *pockets his Multitool! and stands up... he almost hears something from the front doo--ahh, hell...*
Julian: *Julian would Rocket Boot over the gap in the stairs... and Julian isn't near that door yet.*
King Demon was away from the door, I think.
Metal Man (GM): Julian leaps up to where the Questers are... and watches the guns shoot at them (but not be shot by them)
Dragoshi: *Same.*
Metal Man (GM): The guns eventually run out of ammunition.
Garrick: *dodges the only correct way to go. Forward, through the door.*
Dahl: *yelps as she is hit.*
King Demon goes through the door after the guns are off.
Dragoshi: *Starts dancing around the bullets.* <_>
Metal Man (GM): Inside the door is a ball room... filled with wreckage.
Julian: *Julian RUNS over to the group as they head for the door, looking like he's seen a ghost...* D:
Metal Man (GM): In the center of it is a glowing rock in the center of a giant pile of debris.
Dragoshi: *Anyway, el Drago kickasso follows Garrick.*
King Demon cautiously goes for the glowy rock.
Dahl: *heads into the ball room muttering.*
Garrick: "...that's odd... King, wait."
Wolfman: "What's the point in waiting?"
King Demon stops. "What?"
Wolfman: "Anything we do here is just going to cause some sort of trouble."
Garrick: "Because it's a ball room. That SCREAMS traps."
Wolfman: "It won't matter if we do nothing except talk about balls. We're going to get caught here. This is a supernatural plase."
Julian: *And no-one notices Julian, who had sworn never to step foot inside this house, appearing in said house looking pale as fuck.*
Dragoshi: "Yep..."
Garrick: *is too busy looking around for traps to notice Julian.*
Dragoshi: *Looking for tarps... errr, traps as well.*
Wolfman leaves the other Questers to their thing, and does a quick 180... "...you alright Julian? You seem pale as a ghost."
King Demon shrugs and grabs the shiny rock thing.
Julian: "There's fuckin' GHOSTS outside, man. Wolves an' flyin' rocks an' Haunters."
Dragoshi: *'correct prediction'*
Wolfman: "I'm a Wolf. Does that mean I'm scary?"
Dahl: *sweatdrops.* "Flying rock wolves?"
King Demon: "..."
Julian: "Shut your goddamn face right NOW. I'm talkin' the kind of Wolf that'll rip out your throat, the kind you see in horror movies. It ain't safe outside, so I came INside."
Garrick: "Not really safe in here, either..."
King Demon turns to Julian.
Wolfman: "Well, it isn't safe INside, so maybe it's better OUTside."
King Demon: "It's not much safer INSIDE!"
Julian: "It's safer."
Garrick: "I doubt it."
Dahl: "I doubt that..."
Garrick: "...wait a minute..."
Julian: "Look, you wanna go outside an' face that goddamn horde? Be my guest."
Garrick: *turns to Julian.* "You punched Kuja in the mouth and took on Metal Sonic and you're scared of a few Boos?"
Julian: "It's a fuckin' LEGION of ghosts. I hate ghosts."
Garrick: "No, I just... "...just seems odd coming from you, that's all.'
Julian: "Everybody's scared of somethin'. Those who say they ain't is just lyin' to themselves."
Garrick: *shrugs.* "I hate bugs."
Julian: "For me? Ghosts."
King Demon sighs again.
Wolfman: "...most likely, the creatures outside will just try to come in."
Julian: "They're just waitin' for us to come out."
Wolfman: "In a way, you were right to come this way so that we could take them on together."
Garrick: "Well, hopefully, once we found this ghost, we can warp straight out."
Wolfman gives Garrick the look... the look that says: .oO(...it's never THAT easy.)
Garrick: "...heh."
Julian: "So are we close to findin' the MAIN ghost or what, man?"
Garrick: "Well, this is the only correct way to go..my guess it's behind the shielded door. We deactivate the shield, get through the door, get it, and we're done."
King Demon: "I'm REALLY gonna kick this Ghost's... errr... does it even HAVE an ass?"
Garrick: "A ghostly ass."
Julian: "Doesn't Dragoshi have a gun that kills barriers?"
Dahl: *blinks.*
Wolfman: "You confused as well Dahl?"
Garrick: "Everything we seem to shoot comes out to kill us. I'd rather take it slow and steady than have a killer force field."
Dragoshi: "...Yea."
Dahl: "Yea..."
Julian: "An' I'd rather take a chance on this so we can get the hell out of here 'fore the legions of the undead outside decide to come INSIDE."
Metal Man (GM): Anyway, those who walk towards the glowing rock step on a loose board, which smacks them in the forehead.
King Demon is smacked apparently. He sighs and looks around the room.
Wolfman turns to those that did the walking. "...why not jumping?"
Dahl: *sweatdrops.* "... alright now confused and annoyed..."
Wolfman: *to Dahl.* "I'll do what I can to make this less confusing and annoying."
King Demon: "Good idea!" *jumps to the glowing rock thing.*
Julian: *Staying near the door, not moving towards the stone... still shivery and pale... fuck ghosts D:*
Metal Man (GM): Demon flies over to it... ...it's glued to the floor.
Garrick: *hmms softly...* "...Nova, get a scan on this, would you?"
King Demon looks around at the pile near it for something to pry it off.
Nova: "Bzzz... ...It is glued to the ground... ...boards around it likely to hit people who get to it..."
Garrick: "...glowing... hm... ...I've got an idea." *reaches into his jacket and pulls out the M-150, aiming at the stone and pulling the hammer back..*
Traon just seems to appear at the door. "Anyone need a crowbar?"
Wolfman jumps up a little, then turns around.
Metal Man (GM): Demon finds... a crowbar! Gee. They're everywhere.
Julian: "AHH!" *jumps!* "Don't fuckin' do that!"
Traon: "... My crowbar is better."
Wolfman: "...easy there Traon. This place is a little too spooky."
King Demon picks up the crowbar and attempts to pry the rock loose.
Metal Man (GM): Meanwhile, the stone is chipped, but not knocked free, by that shot.
Traon: "Spooky? I spent long nights in schools that made weird creaky noises. Only thing that scares me about this house is the idea of falling through the floor into some bottomless pit of some sort."
Dahl: "..."
Julian: "There's fuckin' GHOSTS outside."
Wolfman: "...umm... Dahl just... disappeared."
Julian: "See?!"
Traon: "Julian, think of it this way. Ghosts are abstract figures, if they can go through walls and such, they'll just go through you. They can't harm ya... I hope. I stand corrected..."
Wolfman: "The best thing you can do is try to calm down Julian."
Traon: "Ya, think of something else. Who owes you a ton of money?"
Julian: "They just fuckin' took Dahl!"
Wolfman: "The best thing you can do is try to calm down Julian."
Julian: "An' you try tellin' that 'Ghosts can't hurt you' bullshit to John."
Metal Man (GM): Dahl simply walked to the side and Wolfman thought she vanished. Julian is now freaking out over it.
Wolfman sees Dahl 'reappear.'
Garrick: "Alright, can someone just either get the stone or break the stone already?"
Metal Man (GM): Walk into sight quickly for extra bonus points!
Dahl: "Umm... still here." *giggles.*
Julian: "'Parrently it wasn't here time or somethin'..."
King Demon: "I'm TRYING TO, but you people are too busy arguing!"
Dragoshi: *How far away is the stone?*
Julian: "Fuuuuck... I'm gonna have to take up smokin' again after this..."

Garrick: "So..."
Traon: "Pie?"

Metal Man (GM): Anyway, the jewel is pried loose.
Garrick: *glances out the door to the force field covered door..*
King Demon grabs the jewel and flies out of the room.
Metal Man (GM): A few people are nearly hit by the rapidly exiting Demon.
Dahl: *walks over to the forcefield door... and ...well tries another energy control!*
Dragoshi: *Exits room...*
Julian: *Julian heads out of the room, still shaky and pale and jumpy and oh god the ghosts are gonna get me.* D: D: D:
Wolfman just watches what they are doing... Julian is too freaked out to have a decent conversation with right now.
Garrick: *watches Demon run out... that jewel could help them with the door, but... he decided to run away..*
King Demon is now in the hallway near the force field, at least he THINKS that's where he is...
Metal Man (GM): The jewel reacts with the field and with Dahl's help, is deactivated.
King Demon: "Heh... go figure!" *goes forward.*
Julian: *Head inside..cautiously...*
Dahl: *blinks and opens the door and heads in!*
Metal Man (GM): The door swings open... revealing a single, wide-open room.
Dragoshi: *Ker-follow.*
Wolfman goes in AFTER Julian.
???: "Gack! Ack! Who goes there? The Were-Quesadillas?"
Wolfman: .oO(Can't let him not help us now.) "...no sir. Just your average run-of-the-mill Questers."

King Demon: "What he said!"
???: "Questers? Bah! You're the idiots who bought my house, and then gave it to a little girl!"

Wolfman: "Which girl?"

Dragoshi: "I think you got ripped off."

Traon: "They have lawyers for that kind of stuff ya know."

King Demon: "What?"
???: "Great. First Kuja, then some Con man. Well, I wasn't going to unlive much longer anyway."

Metal Man (GM): It's an old Kuja mage, wearing a long, blue robe.

Traon: "Demon, put those away, its a ghost, I don't think a sword and crowbar is going to do much good."

Garrick: "Look..."
???: "I lost all of mine when I died... no thanks to you Questers!"
Wolfman: "It's a long story." *turns to ghost.*
King Demon: "Uh... ok..." *does so reluctantly.*
Garrick: *walks forward, hands open.* "We don't like that doctor either. In fact, he has something we want to. Why don't we compromise? You tell us about where he might run to if things get hairy... we'll leave you alone in this house. Hell, we'll even spruce it up for you a bit."
King Demon: *W* "by 'spruce it up' he means 'burn it down' right?"
???: "There's a bit of a problem there."
Metal Man (GM): He points behind the Questers.
Dragoshi: *Looks behind him, expecting ghosts.*
???: "This area is totally inhabited by other ghosts, monsters, what have you."
Garrick: "...then why don't we find you a new house?"
Wolfman: "Garrick: no."
???: "Even if I let you go... they hunger for your blood. Somebody dropped an expensive gem in here..."
Dragoshi: "...What if the ghosts just follow hi-...Oh!"
Dahl: "So what do you want us to do about that?"
Wolfman: "...the gem that was picked up... Demon!"
Dragoshi: "...Yea..."
Wolfman: "I would advise giving it up."
King Demon: "Expensive gem? You mean this?" *holds up the rock from the last room.*
Garrick: "We'll give it to them, if they want it so bad..."
???: "Ah! Yes... ...no. Don't give it to them. It's another thing Dr. Archellago dropped here."
Dragoshi: "Ah."
???: "This place is haunted because of it... nobody would live here with that ruckus outside."
Dragoshi: "...Do we destroy it or something, then?" ?_?
???: "But you can't just smash it."
Dragoshi: "Of course..."
King Demon: "Maybe WE should keep it?"
???: "I'll make you a deal, because, coincidentally, it's also what traps me in this world..."
Garrick: "Fair enough... what did you have in mind?"
Wolfman is curious of this deal.
???: "...You must go to the top of Death Mountain, and... ...no, this does not mean drop it. It's survived magma before."
Dragoshi: "Hmm... Go on, then..."
???: "There is a forge deep within. A hammer, too."
Wolfman chuckles at that.
Garrick: "Fire Temple?"
???: "Kuja mapped it all out and built a way to it in the old days. We forged some super-powerful weapons down there."
Garrick: *perks up at this.* "You don't say..."
Dahl: "...you want us to make something out of it" *head tilt.*
???: "It's now become overrun with fire monsters, but if you can get down there... the hammer can probably smash it into pieces."
Wolfman: "...the Megaton Hammer is what you want us to use. I've used that weapon before... when I was on two legs instead of four."
Garrick: "No... to my knowledge, Link still has that Hammer."
???: "This is a better hammer. The Hammer of Kuja."
Garrick: *whistle.* "Evil?"
???: "We made it especially to smelt objects out of a strange black material down there... the lining of the stomachs of extremely powerful Dodongos."
King Demon: "Sounds like something I could use!"
Dahl: "..." *facepalm.* "...I don't see how that makes it BETTER."
???: "The hammer takes five people to lift..."
Wolfman does a head count... how many ARE there here?
King Demon: "Is that all?"
Dragoshi: "...five people?"
???: "...You look at me like this is easy. The fire beings have gained levels the same as you, Questers."
King Demon: "Eh, I've seen worse..."
Dragoshi: "Man, that sounds pretty heavy..."
???: "There's more of them than there are ghosts here, and the temperatures are too hot for even Gorons to bear."
Garrick: *hrms, pondering.* "Hmm... pure volcanic lava might be that heavy..."
Wolfman: "So not even Fire Tunics will help?"
???: "You go well down a couple hundred thousand feet into the volcanic chamber itself."
King Demon: "Wonder if my fur coat can protect me..."
???: "Not exactly. You just have to use your extremely high health to survive."
Garrick: "I say we head back to the headquarters. Gain a bit of info before we head in."
Dahl: "Oh fun " *sighs and mutters something.*
Dragoshi: *So glad he has a Goron's tunic. ...Hopefully, that along with his high health will help him survive that ordeal.* >_>;;

???: "Now, if you do that, I won't bother to care if you steal anything... also..."
Metal Man (GM): He pokes Julian, chuckling. His touch is cold, and chilly.
Garrick: "Right... well..." *flips open his Dex.* "Metal, you there?"
Metal Man: (Dex) "Uh... yes."
Garrick: "Think we could get a warp here? Or is there more to do?"
???: "That depends..." He chuckles raspily. "Why did you think my house was a shirt, again?"
Garrick: "No, you HAUNTED a shirt..."
???: "...So the conman enchanted it to look like a house... ...figures..."
Garrick: "...or somethign to that effect... I dunno..."
King Demon shrugs, looking at the gem curiously.
???: "Of course, I would fight you, but I am too frail to do so." He holes out a wispy hand. "I would suggest you leave before those ethereal wolves discover how to climb up here, though."
Metal Man (GM): The gem is the size of a golf ball. It is skull-shaped.
Dragoshi: "...'K."
Garrick: "Right... Metal, warp please."
Metal Man (GM): A warp out appears. Mission Completed.
King Demon leaves through the warp, and pockets the gem for now.
Dahl: *heads into the warp.*
Wolfman (GM): Demon gains: Friendly Fire Award! Reward: -1000 coins!
Julian: *Julian, having not noticed the Ghost's touch due to his current state of psychosis and the general falling of his body temperature, shuffles into the warp.*
Wolfman enters the warp.
Dragoshi: *Is now level 118!* *Enters the warp.*
Traon enters the warp as well.
King Demon loses 1000 coins? crap!
Julian: *DING, collapse as he steps out of the warp in HQ.*
King Demon wonders if he can use the gem to enhance his own abilities, at least until he has to destroy it.
Traon: "People, relish this moment. For from now on, we shall make fun of Julian for his overwhelming fear of ghosts."
Dragoshi: "Nah..."
King Demon: "Ghosts? I'm surprised he's not afraid of ME then!"
Dahl: "Oh just leave him be..."
Wolfman just chuckles at this entire thing.
Traon thinks for a moment and then remembers something. "Ahh, Garrick, I think we have some business to take care of."
Garrick: "Hmm? Oh, you're weapon, right?"
Traon points to his weapon on my his back. "Yes, that."
Garrick: "Well, alright. C'mon then."
Traon nods and goes with Garrick.
Garrick: *motions to follow as he walks.*
Wolfman goes to the new couch, and lays on it.
Traon follows, and takes his weapon off to get it ready.
Garrick: *heads into the docking bay, moving up to the Dauntless and inside, heading for his lab. The lab itself is large. Not headquarters, Doc Light large, but large enough. He switches his brown bombers jacket for a lab coat and sits down on a nearby stool.* "Alright then. What exactly are you wanting to do here?"
Dragoshi: *Would be following the two...>_>*
Garrick: "...oh, hey Dragoshi. You need something too?"
Dragoshi: "Yea. A second sword, possibly of the same or better quality than this." *Shows Garrick his sword.*
Garrick: "Ah, alright. Well, take a seat. Traon came first, though..."
King Demon follows the rest to Garrick's lab.
Traon: "Well, I'de like to add a scythe blade right here." he points to a part of the pole just under the original blade of his weapon. "And also, if you can make some type of poison and put it in a container so I can put a coating on here every now and then. And also, I'll need the orginal blade on this thing to be sharper than it already is."
Traon goes on to think if he needs anything else.
Dragoshi: *Takes a seat, because yes.*
Garrick: *glances to King Demon walking in and motions to a nearby stool before looking back to Traon.* "That it?"
Traon: "Aha! One last thing."
King Demon sits down.
Garrick: "That being?"
Traon: "Whats that chemical that leeches have that keeps blood from clotting so they can get a constant flow of blood? Whatever that is, i'de like to get a container of that as well. Because ya, I would like my enemies to suffer from blood loss. I think thats all for now."
Garrick: *leans back a bit, thinking quietly.*
Julian: *Julian, after laying on the ground a bit to collect his thoughts, shakily gets up to his feet, and heads to his room.*
Garrick: "...well, the additional blade will be easy. I can forge some good steel and add it simple enough. Sharpening the blade... hm... it's pretty sharp as it is, so I'd recogmend upgrading to a different material of steel. I could probably kill two birds with one stone with the poison... but I might have to magitek it. All in all, the additions of new sharp pointy parts will be moderately pricey, but the poison might set you back."
Traon nods. "Then an upgrade to the material it is. What would you recommend? Got any good black metals? For some odd reason the color black has been appealing to me." he thinks for a moment and checks his funds. "I should have enough... What would all this cost?"
Garrick: "Might be more than you think..."
Traon: "Any figures? So I could know what to save to if I can't afford it?"
Garrick: "...the whole deal? Maybe... 400K or so. That poison is a killer."
Traon: "Hrm, alrighty, I'll set the poison aside for later. What about the new blade attachment and material change?"
Garrick: "I'd say around 250K, then..."
Traon facepalms. "More expensive than I thought. Hrm... How about for just the blade attachment." he curses his measly 166K.
Julian: *Julian finally makes it to his room, unlocks the door, walks in, and closes the door behind him, locking it. Julian grabs his cordless phone off his desk as he walks by, and ends up collapsing onto his bed as he hits the speed dial button for his agent, 'Marty'.*
Julian: *gets the voice mail. Dammit. Waits for the beep... BEEP* "Yo, Marty, this is Julian. Sorry I'm callin' to late, but we had a few... problems on the mission. Anyway, I need you to get 3 things done for me. One, find me some goddamn smokes. This last mission made me crave a cigarette for some reason... Do they even have cigs on Nintendus? Two, I need to know the whereabouts of E. Gadd. Next mission we're doin' involves us headin' into a deep deep pit of lava, an' I'm hoping I could buy a FLUDD offa him for it. Or get him to make me somethin' better. Either one. Three, find out if there's a good psychiatrist or somethin' on Nintendus. I need to get over this fear of ghosts once an' for all so I don't have another episode like tonight... I already though I got over them, but 'parrently not. Anyway, that's it. Peace." *Julian hangs up, breathes a sigh of relief, and splays out his arms, dropping the phone to the floor and kicking off his boots at the same time. Julian stares the ceiling, eventually drifting off to sleep...*
