Super Smash Quest - Story - Chapter 451: Grave Temple Melee
Date: July 15th, 2007.
Metal Man (GM): The Questers are at the Big Room. Metal sits in his chair, and the screens around show a state of perpetual twilight around Nintendus. The shadows seem longer, and the skies are dark, orange, and unfriendly.
Garrick: "Lovely view we have..."
Metal Man (GM): Metal mumbles as he flips through some notes Master Hand wrote. (Apparently with a note-shrinker, too--they fit in his hands somewhat.)
Metal Man: "Okay, I have the third Emblem on tap here. Unfortunately, The Void's speeding up. We've had to land the Kuja ship, and many of our satellites are getting wiped out from the sheer TURBULENCE of whatever he's doing out there."
Dragoshi: "Mhm..."
Digifanatic: .oO(Another day, another race against time.)
Alexia: "..." *gulps nervously.*
Dragoshi: "Sheesh..."
Metal Man: "I don't even want to know what it's doing to Turion right now."
Darkdata: "Hmm.."
Garrick: "Then we'd better find the third Emblem. And fast."
Dragoshi: "Quite."
Metal Man: "SIMBER told me that it was only the emblems on this planet which could hold it... as Nova, and the modules which supposedly controlled everywhere, were mostly fake too. Somehow, Nova's AI survived, but I have a feeling that won't help us much."
Digifanatic just listens for a location.
Metal Man: "The Void is still unaware of our work, so we need to hurry before he figures it out."
Garrick: "The Dauntless is pretty much grounded. What with the loss of Magitek, most of it's vital systems are useless."
Metal Man: "Here's what we got... it's nice and close, thankfully. I think... distances are odd now. Kakariko Graveyard. Buried with the past kings of Hyrule itself."
Garrick: *winces.* "This might not be fun."
Metal Man: "Deep within there... with this weather? Hoo. I'm happy all I have to do is sit in this chair."
Digifanatic: "Okay..."
Metal Man: "I hear there's lots of skeletons, and flaming bats, and evil mummies down there. All to protect it, of course."
Garrick: "Any vital information on who may be guarding it?"
Dragoshi: "Does this mean we have to kill some Re-Deads?"
Leo: "..."
Garrick: "I HATE those things... where are all the Smashers in this?"
Darkdata: "Redeads? Great."
Leo: "Smashers are down there too? Well... dead smashers?"
Garrick: "...no, I was asking where are the Smashers to HELP us?"
Leo: "Like which ones?"
Metal Man: "The Smashers are busy ensuring law continues to exist... many people think the world is ending."
Alexia: "...Which it is."
Garrick: "We could really use Link on this one... but, we'll just cut our way through..."
Leo: "I'm sure we'll be fine."
Dragoshi: "Eh..."
Metal Man: "Link himself is too busy defending the towns from raiders who think that this is 'the Return of Ganon' or somesuch. They seem to always think that when the sky gets like this... If he helped you, it'd be a mess elsewhere. Order comes at a high cost these days."
Alexia raises her hand.
Metal Man: "Yes, Alexia?"
Alexia: "Is it okay if I bring someone with me on this? ...N-never mind."
Metal Man: "Who? What?" *He shakes his head.*
Garrick: "...right... do we have any spare swords backed up somewhere in a closet, Metal? I think my guns aren't going to work well on undead."
Metal Man: "What I'd want is to find Aetos... I don't want him to help The Void, but we don't have the time to look for that. Swords? Sorry... we don't have much." *He opens a cabinet and takes out a rusted blade.* "This... should harm things... I think."
Digifanatic: "Haven't seen him in a while..."
Garrick: *sighs.* "It'll have to do... Julian took that one off of Doopliss and I coulda used it... whatever."
Alexia: "Sorry... I'm just really nervous about all of this."
Leo: "Good thing I got a sword..."
Garrick: *takes the rusty sword and grumbles. It's not even SHARP... he slips it into his back sheath.*
Metal Man watches some time go, drinking a glass of a strange-colored, noxious smelling soda... "I do believe we should get going... the time is going out the door." *He opens a warp out.*
Garrick: "Right. Let's get moving." *stands, grumbling at the situation before stepping through.*
Alexia heads into the warp, hands shaking a bit.
Digifanatic: "Sure." *heads to the warp.*
Dragoshi: *Walks on over to the warp.*
Leo: "Let's do this..." *heads to the warp.*
Darkdata heads to the warp too.
Metal Man (GM): The Questers warp over... indeed... what they see is quite strange... Kakariko Graveyard. Gravedigger Morty there, he's been waiting for them. A strange expression on his pale, weird looking face.
Dampe: "Heya there Questers! Come to dig up my ultimate treasure?"
Garrick: *streps out of the warp, frowning.* "Guess so. Could you point the way?"
Dampe: "It's the end of the worrrld! So, naturally, it's not doing me any good in the ground..."
Metal Man (GM): Dampe makes his way slowly across, after nodding at Garrick.
Alexia jams her hands into her pockets to keep them from shaking and follows Dampe.
Dragoshi: "Mhm..." *Follows.*
Garrick: *follows after him.*
Leo: *follows after Dampe.*
Digifanatic: *keeps moving.*
Darkdata follows the hunchback gravedigger too.
Metal Man (GM): He finally makes his way to the tombstone at the end of the graveyard. It's the biggest, and has the royal family's crest on it. It's made of gray stone... The ground around it is very soggy.
Dampe: "Now, you see, this way normally leads to a song. A song which is completely useless, since the sun's been blocked out some by the strange clouds up there..." He looks at the sky blankly.
Garrick: "Unless you have a shovel, I'm wondering if you have another idea?"
Dragoshi: "Yea..."
Alexia: "...Wait. We have to go INTO the grave?"
Dampe: "I never showed Link this... mainly 'cause it was beyond his duty. But you, Questers... you gotta save the world, so... yeah." He points to the right of the stone. "That's where the entrance to the big shrine is, but you'll need a shovel. Here." He hands his shovel to Garrick. "Unless you want me to dig? That might cost you some coins."
Garrick: *takes it.* "I can dig easy enough..."
Dragoshi: "Yep... That he can."
Metal Man (GM): The wet grass seems... mildewy. Odd, really, as the trees above here have no leaves.
Garrick: *grumbles again as he moves to where Dampe pointed and starts shoveling.*
Darkdata: "Dampe, there is no song that will open the shrine without digging?"
Metal Man (GM): The mud is shoveled out very slowly.
Dampe: "It must be dug... that's how it was kept safe. Only I knew where it was, and nobody else has a shovel for miles."
Garrick: *shovels.* "I take it if we paid you, it'd be done super fast?"
Dampe: "Oh, yes. But it'd cost yeh... 10,000 coins."
Garrick: "'course... all our cash goes to hell, and suddenly he wants a ton."
Dampe: "Don't blame me... I just want a gold-plated shovel before I die."
Digifanatic: "I'll put in half for you, Garrick."
Garrick: *grunts as he gets a small hole done.* "Frickin' mechanical genius... can create technology for any sort of situation... and here I am, shoveling dirt to save the world..."
Darkdata: "I wonder if I could just blow the dirt out of there with a songspell...
Dragoshi: *Would help with the digging by using his claws... to dig. >_> *
Dampe: "It's soggy mud. You could sink into that if you weren't careful."
Leo: *Justs watches.*
Metal Man (GM): It's soggy mud. Garrick's slowly getting it out... some stone steps are slowly being unearthed.
Alexia: "...Uh, guys?"
Digifanatic: "Yes?"
Alexia holds up 10,000 coins.
Alexia: "You never asked me."
Darkdata: "Alexia, I will pay half."
Garrick: *stops... looks back... tosses the shovel to Dampe.* "Screw this, then..."
Darkdata: "So 5000 each?"
Alexia: "Forget it, Dark."
Alexia hands Dampe the 10k.
Darkdata: "... mmkay then."
Metal Man (GM): Dampe snatches the 10k, and then picks up the shovel... ...and digs. Very fast. An elaborate temple stairwell is uncovered. Indeed... it goes deep into the ground, and Dampe vanishes inside. There's dim light down there, though... weird.
Alexia runs down the steps.
Garrick: *hurries down as well.*
Digifanatic: *heads down quick!*
Leo: *hurries down as well.*
Dragoshi: "...Remind me to get myself a drill made. Yanno, in case we deal with any digging related stuff... But, meh." *Heads down the stairs.*
Darkdata follows them down the steps.
Alexia: "I just hope we don't get another big purchase shoved in our faces..."
Metal Man (GM): *Zelda 2 temple theme.*
Leo: "You're telling me."
Metal Man (GM): The Questers enter the ancient temple. There's a statue of a knight and several pillars along the way... and a really old door with... a wax seal on it? Two torches illuminate the place; they're made of magic. Dampe sits off to the left, catching his breath.
Darkdata: "So, does it get dark as we go in?"
Dampe: "Yah... that's an ancient temple all right... I nearly forgot what it looked like. I doubt the light sources are even inside."
Alexia tries scratching at the wax seal with a fingernail.
Garrick: "Waaait a second, Alexia.."
Metal Man (GM): The wax appears to have ancient Hylian words on it...
Darkdata: "Well time to test out my new clearsong then..."
Alexia: *...Oops.*
Digifanatic walks over and sees the words...
Metal Man: 'BEWARE! FALSE OBJECT WILL KILL DOOMSAYERS.' That's what it says.
Digifanatic: *repeats that message to the others.*
Garrick: "...hm."
Digifanatic: "False object..."
Alexia: "...Yikes. You'd think they could leave something clearer..."
Dragoshi: "...Why do people have to be vague?"
Garrick: "I still don't like this. We're going into this without Hylian gear... but, we have no choice. I'll take the first hit, if there is one."
Alexia: "Like 'Don't open this door. It's a trap.'"
Digifanatic: "Yeah... might as well head in now." *follows Garrick.*
Garrick: *gives the door a solid push/pull to open it.*
Metal Man (GM): Garrick pulls it open, breaking the seal. A flaming Keese flies at him as the door opens!
Dragoshi: "Yea. But, people are stupid on that when it comes to specifying..."
Metal Man (GM): *Burn.* Garrick catches on fire!
Garrick: *OW.*
Metal Man (GM): The Keese lands on the ceiling, far above even the tallest of the Questers.
Darkdata: "Someone use their long range spell, I will boost it."
Garrick: "...yeah, I can see my luck is still standing strong."
Dragoshi: *Jumps three units up into the air and tries to Tidal Blast the Keese.*
Garrick: *pats himself out.*
Darkdata: "Or it looks like someone else can get that bat..."
Metal Man (GM): The Keese is hit repeatedly and dies.
Leo: "Okay, I guess we can enter now." *starts to walk in.*
Dragoshi: "Stupid flaming bats..." *Moves on...*
Alexia continues on into the door.
Digifanatic: *keeps going.*
Darkdata follows Dragoshi into the temple.
Metal Man (GM): The Questers walk in... and behold! A skeleton with a shield and a sword charges at Leo, as he is first! It stands in the way!
Leo: "Damn!" *gets slashed at twice.*
Alexia tries to blast that box of bones with a Mindblast.
Metal Man (GM): Hit.
Darkdata call darksongs the tibia of the skeleton.
Metal Man (GM): It is knocked back. The tibia is stolen, but the skeleton stays together anyway. It does another stab at Leo.
Leo: *takes out his sword and stabs the stalfos.*
Dragoshi: *Breathes FIAR on the skeleton. >_>*
Metal Man (GM): The skeleton catches on fire and explodes. The way ahead is clear.
Darkdata: "Wha, zuh, but."
Digifanatic just keeps moving...
Metal Man (GM): It's all stone block construction in here... ...even weirder, there is an inexplicable elevator in this ancient place.
Darkdata: "Now I know why link had trouble with those bones." ._.
Dragoshi: "...Right." *Moseys on along...*
Alexia continues onwards... an elevator?
Leo: "Ugh..." *limps along.*
Metal Man (GM): It's a dead end, so the Questers have to take the elevator. But there's no buttons on it... just two floating halves. One for above their heads, and another for them to stand on.
Alexia: "...Weird."
Alexia steps onto the elevator...
Digifanatic: *steps on.* "Interesting nonetheless."
Dragoshi: *Ker-follow.*
Darkdata steps on too. "Hope this is not a trap."
Leo: *hobbles into the elevator.*
Metal Man (GM): It seems solid; it can only go down... but how to make it go down?
Digifanatic gently taps the bottom half.
Digifanatic: *with his sneaker.*
Metal Man (GM): Tapping it... does nothing.
Digifanatic: "Hmm... Gently descend, please."
Dragoshi: .oO(I have a feeling this'll fail, but...) *Thinks about making it go down.*
Darkdata: "There is a switch around here I bet. Or a silly puzzle."
Garrick: *steps on as well... "Down, please?"
Leo: *jumps up and down on the elevator repeatedly.*
Digifanatic checks the underside of the top half.
Alexia looks up, at the half floating over their heads.
Metal Man (GM): It must be simple... ...Leo leaps down, causing him to crouch. The elevator goes down a little.
Digifanatic: *crouches as well.*
Dragoshi: *Crouch!*
Leo: *crouches.*
Alexia: "..." *crouch.*
Darkdata: "Erm?" *crouch.*
Garrick: *crouch.*
Leo: "This is kinda odd..."
Metal Man (GM): The elevator ROCKETS DOWN LIKE A DRAG RACER.
Garrick: "DAAHH!!" *stands up!
Metal Man (GM): I guess more people crouching cause it to speed up.
Digifanatic: *stands up!*
Darkdata stands up.
Alexia tries to stand up against the massive G-forces...
Dragoshi: "HOLY CRAP!" *Stands up.*
Metal Man (GM): Ah well. Too late, as by the time the Questers stand up... *FWOOSH* They're at the bottom... ow.
Alexia: *WHAM* "Ouch..."
Dragoshi: "...ow. Somewhat."
Metal Man (GM): There's some steps up dead ahead. They're dusty and it's very dark here, except there's a big glow ahead.
Leo: "Owww..." *crawls out of the elevator.*
Darkdata: "Uughs."
Alexia shakes off the flashing stars and keeps going.
Garrick: "Careful, all..." *grunts and moves forward.*
Darkdata: "It's dark." *Sun Clearsong.*
Leo: *gets back up and limps along.*
Digifanatic: *heads forward, minding the steps, just trying to get closer to the glow.*
Darkdata with his new ball of light slowly walks ahead.
Metal Man (GM): Darkdata makes a very bright orb... the stairs go on up, and the Questers see a massive bridge over a seemingly endless pool of magma.
Alexia: "Hmm..."
Alexia taps the edge of the bridge with her foot.
Digifanatic: *He determines the specifics of the bridge.*
Metal Man (GM): 5 feet wide, very, very long, made of stone segments tied together. The bridge shakes a little from Alexia's tapping.
Garrick: "Maybe we should take this one at a time.."
Alexia: "Definitely not secure enough to walk on. It'd spin like a top."
Leo: "Maybe we should run across?"
Dragoshi: "No..."
Digifanatic: "That'll make it worse."
Garrick: "Hold on, hold on... lemme see here...
Alexia bends down and looks at the segments of the bridge.
Darkdata: "Hmm... no way I can make a sold air bridge long enough."
Garrick: *steps forward onto the first step, slowly putting weight on the foot.*
Metal Man (GM): They look rather loose, but not so loose they'd instantly fall.
Leo: "Hmmm..."
Metal Man (GM): It appears to slowly give under weight. If Garrick stepped on it fully, it would slowly begin to fall.
Digifanatic: *Looks for rails to hold on to.*
Garrick: "That's it... we can't step on the same block all together."
Metal Man (GM): No rails.
Alexia: "Hrm..."
Garrick: *moves forward and heads to the next block.*
Alexia: "I'm the lightest, and I hover. Maybe I should go first, Garrick..."
Leo: "Maybe we should walk across single file?"
Digifanatic: "I agree with his idea."
Garrick: "It's trying to trick us with the width."
Darkdata: "If we all cross the bridge 1 at a time, with no one on the bridge but one at at one time, we should be fine."
Garrick: "Right." *step.*
Leo: "Well... nevermind..."
Metal Man (GM): The step slowly falls...
Digifanatic: *looks to see where the elevation of the far end is in relation to the destination "platform."*
Metal Man (GM): It's the same elevation as this one--Digi can barely make it out.
Garrick: "Besides.." *step.* "...you might not trigger something, Alexia." *step.*
Metal Man (GM): The bridge begins quickly falling apart behind Garrick. He better run.
Garrick: "We need to see what this bridge has in store for u--whoa whoa whoa!" *starts kicking it into high gear, running.*
Alexia makes a big jump over the falling segments and dashes behind Garrick.
Leo: "RUN DUDE RUNNNN!!!"
Metal Man (GM): Meanwhile, Alex moves sorta fast. The brick-like things collapse quickly... Alexia follows him... Digi is apparently on the bridge too... both he and Alexia run ahead of Garrick. Garrick's tiles are getting lower and lower. He has to leap across each in short steps.
Garrick: *growls and puts it into high gear... hopefully.*
Darkdata: "Sigh, looks like I have to run across too..."
Metal Man (GM): Even worse, as the trio reaches the middle of the bridge... The bridge is out on the end everybody else is left on; May have to wait. Meanwhile... the middle of the bridge, a flaming skull rises up and spits fire at all three people on the bridge.
Digifanatic: *Hit.*
Alexia: "Agh!" *hit.*
Darkdata: "But first:" *Looks for a switch.*
Metal Man (GM): Alexia falls behind the others!
Alexia keeps hovering/running.
Garrick: *WOOSH!*
Metal Man (GM): Alexia leaps across, on fire, the bridge trio is across. The sunken sections rise up again; those on the other side may attempt to cross.
Alexia slaps out the flames on her clothes and breathes a sigh of relief.
Darkdata does his search for a switch.
Alexia: "Oh, man, that was close..."
Leo: "...I don't wanna do this..."
Dragoshi: "...I guess the lot of us should go next, huh?"
Metal Man (GM): No switch; just an evil bridge.
Darkdata: "Uugh."
Darkdata starts running across the bridge.
Leo: "AAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!" *latches on to Dragoshi, crying like a baby.*
Dragoshi: "...I'll do it, then." *Tries to zoom across the bridge.*
Digifanatic: .oO(Man, I'm actually getting low on stuff...) *hands Alexia a healing vial.*
Garrick: *lands with a final jump, panting-WHOA.*
Digifanatic: *OH SNAP.*
Alexia hands it back to Digi.
Alexia: "I'll be okay, thanks."
Digifanatic: "Okay."
Dragoshi: *ALL ENGINES, FULL SPEED! Except, yanno. No engines.*
Leo: *lets go of Dragoshi.*
Metal Man (GM): Darkdata turns across, passed up by Dragoshi who simply flies across the whole bridge with Leo.
Leo: "...I HATE things that cause death... I'm allergic to death..."
Metal Man (GM): Darkdata is then attacked by the flaming skull!
Darkdata: "MIRROR!"
Dragoshi: "And I'm just ridiculously agile."
Metal Man (GM): The skull is hit by its own flame and dies. Darkdata leaps across, on fire.
Alexia: "...Geez, Drag, I didn't know you could even run that fast."
Darkdata stops drops and rolls.
Metal Man (GM): Everyone is now across the deadly bridge. The next room is even darker, except for one source of light inside it... ...a floating skull.
Darkdata: "Hot hot ooh hot hot hot.
Metal Man (GM): An evil glowing skull.
Dragoshi: "...Well, how else do you think I can evade things with such grace?" :p
Metal Man (GM): It reveals that there's a ledge in the middle of the room. Also, the door ahead is closed.
Alexia: "Hmm... Think we can snipe it from here?"
Digifanatic tries to get onto the ledge.
Garrick: "It'd be a tough shot..."
Metal Man (GM): The skull thing floats towards Digi after bouncing off the ceiling! Digi evades, as it then bounces off the ground behind him... and then the wall behind him... and then the ceiling...
Leo: "Man, I bet if Link was here this would be somewhat easier..."
Metal Man (GM): On the plus side, there's a weird, rusted switch atop this platform.
Digifanatic: "I found a switch! I'm thinking it's our thing."
Dragoshi: *Tries to wait for the Bubble to get in the center, then Tidal Blast it.*
Digifanatic activates the switch.
Metal Man (GM): Digi activates it... a door is heard opening... The skull floats at Digi again!
Darkdata: *Zelda chimes.*
Metal Man (GM): Digi dodges it. The way ahead is clear now.
Digifanatic: *NO SIR.*
Digifanatic leaps back down and walks ahead into the next room.
Dragoshi: *Tries to zoom past the skull...*
Metal Man (GM): The bubble bounces at Digi again!
Leo: *moves into the next room.*
Metal Man (GM): BONK. It hits Digi.
Alexia shrugs and runs into the next room as well, towards the now-opened door.
Digifanatic: *Willingly takes that hit.*
Metal Man (GM): It bounces off him and back into the room as Leo enters... so it flies at Leo, missing Alexia.
Darkdata moves ot the next room.
Alexia turns around and tries to Gatling the skull.
Garrick: *is still standing there... *is in route to the door before Alexia shot it... or probably during.*
Metal Man (GM): The skull takes no damage. Then, after hitting Leo, it flies at Alexia!
Alexia then turns back around and runs into the next room.
Metal Man (GM): Meanwhile, it doesn't notice Garrick walking into the next room. Alexia dodges it... it's slow.
Leo: *bonk!* "DAMN IT!! MY FACE!!"
Alexia ducks to one side to avoid it, then keeps going.
Metal Man (GM): Everyone's through to the next room... woah. What an odd room! The Master Sword sits in its pedestal, waiting for someone to pull it. There's a door beyond it, too.
Garrick: *stares...*
Digifanatic: *checks to see if IT'S A TRAP!*
Dragoshi: "...There is no way that can be the real thing."
Digifanatic: *Highly doubt it, but...*
Leo: "...Nice sword..."
Metal Man (GM): Digi can't tell. It looks real.
Garrick: "Exactly... LINK has the real thing..."
Dragoshi: "Yep."
Garrick: "...but..."
Darkdata: "Guys, remember the warning?"
Leo: "Then... nice replica..."
Darkdata: "On the door?"
Digifanatic: "False object... You're right... but, are we the doomsayers?"
Garrick: *slowly walks up to the sword, staring at it... the Master Sword... what better weapon...*
Alexia: *warningly.* "Don't do it, Garrick..."
Darkdata: "Garrick, you do it and I will spike all your food with my candy!"
Alexia gets ready to tackle Garrick by the legs, if it comes to that.
Garrick: "...no... no, I won't. I just..."
Alexia: "Don't look at it. Just keep going."
Alexia continues, holding up a hand to block her view of the sword.
Leo: "Damn... I bet that is some sword..."
Metal Man (GM): Alexia walks by the sword...
Alexia: "LEO!"
Leo: *starts to sweat while looking at it.*
Metal Man (GM): A skeleton leaps for the ceiling to stab her from above!
Alexia: *impaled.*
Metal Man (GM): It pulls out its shield and stands in the way.
Garrick: *continues to stare at it for the longest time, his hand gently reaching back to touch the handle of the rusted, dull blade on his belt before the skeleton drops suddenly.*
Leo: *looks away.* "WATCH--OHHH!!!"
Digifanatic: "'False object will kill doomsayers'...yeah, let's not touch it. After all, it is not the Smash Emblem."
Alexia angrily tries to rip its shield away with her TK.
Darkdata: *Attraction Darksong, Skeleton leg 1 with skeleton leg 2.*
Metal Man (GM): Alexia rips the shield away. Then it falls over on itself. So it goes to stab Alexia in the shins.
Leo: "Runs over to the stalfos and stabs it.*
Metal Man (GM): Then it's hit by Trigger.
Alexia gets shin-stabbed.
Garrick: *doesn't hesitate. As soon as that shield is ripped away and the legs are tied, he blast--or not...*
Alexia: "Ow!"
Metal Man (GM): It spins around on the floor like crazy. It slashes at Leo's ankles.
Darkdata uses call clearsong to pull away the weapon.
Garrick: "God.." *he unloads a pair of Armor Piercing Shells on it from the M-150.*
Dragoshi: *Breaths FIAR on the skeleton.*
Alexia Mindblasts the freaking Stalfos.
Metal Man (GM): The weapon flies away from its hands. Then it explodes from damage.
Darkdata: "Garrick, why not take the skeleton weapon?"
Metal Man (GM): However, a Moblin holding a spear walks out and hurls a spear at Garrick! *STAB*
Garrick: "...who--GRAH!"
Digifanatic: *Icy Kicks the Moblin!*
Alexia quickly spins around and Mindblasts that, too!
Metal Man (GM): It gets kicked. It hurls a spear at Alexia quickly.
Leo: "Damn, they're just popping out of the woodworks."
Metal Man (GM): It is blown apart.
Alexia gets speared.
Dragoshi: *Waits for any other monsters to appear...*
Digifanatic just heads towards the next room if the door is open.
Metal Man (GM): A weird fox-like guy with a dagger appears from behind everyone and tries to backstab Darkdata! *Stab.*
Darkdata: "Guah."
Alexia: "Aw, screw this."
Metal Man (GM): It's a strange backstabbing enemy with a fox head.
Alexia reaches over and grabs the Master Sword.
Dragoshi: *Spins around and notices the fox, jumps forward, quickly sliding out his sword, and attempts to slash at 'im!*
Leo: "..."
Metal Man (GM): Alexia turns to stone. Then the fox thing is slashed into two.
Garrick: "...lovely..."
Digifanatic: "I knew it..."
Darkdata: "Dammit, it's elemental sync all ever."
Garrick: "Someone get the bloody door open!"
Leo: "Damn idiot..." *starts laughing.*
Dragoshi: *This time, Drag looks all around him. And not in the eyes of any Re-Deads.*
Metal Man (GM): The bloody door is open, thanks to the Moblin who broke it.
Garrick: "Leo, shut your FUCKING mouth!"
Digifanatic goes through to the next room...
Metal Man (GM): Hm... the next room has a giant armored man with a mace.
Darkdata uses his ring to teleport Alexia into a pocket dimension till everyone can get back to base.
Dragoshi: "...Ay carumba." *Shakes his head and moseys on along to the next room.*
Metal Man (GM): He looks at Digi and figures him to look like some sort of puny ant.
Leo: "..."
Metal Man (GM): So he tries to smash Digi into pieces.
Digifanatic: *3 for 3.*
Darkdata heads to the next room.
Metal Man (GM): His mace breaks the floor tiles a bit!
Leo: *follows Dark.*
Garrick: *immediately makes to leap out of his range.* "Armor straps!"
Metal Man (GM): He's also so big that he completely blocks this passageway.
Darkdata: *Shatter Clearsong - Mace.*
Metal Man (GM): He spins his mace around after mauling Digi and then it suddenly explodes. So he decides to pick up Digi?
Dragoshi: "...Ha!"
Metal Man (GM): He picks up Digi and begins spinning him like a mace.
Dragoshi: *Tries to... XD... STEAL Digi away from the guy while hurting him.*
Darkdata: "... Why do enemies like using Digi like a bat?"
Metal Man (GM): Dragoshi grabs Digi.
Digifanatic: *OHHHH.*
Metal Man (GM): Dragoshi barely gets Digi back, but Digi takes damage from being pulled on like that.
Digifanatic: "Okay, this is screwed up!"
Dragoshi: *And by a stroke of insane luck, Dragoshi succeeds!*
Garrick: *waits for Dragoshi to get Digi into the clear before he settles his gun onto the guys head and UNLOADS on him with armor piercing rounds.*
Metal Man (GM): He takes two holes in his shoulder and then some from the stealing.
Digifanatic: *And Digi runs in with the Fire Punch!*
Metal Man (GM): He cracks his arms and tries to defend with his fist. He fails.
Dragoshi: *Dragoshi then breaths fire on the guy. >_>*
Metal Man (GM): Digi punches his head off and the armor falls over.
Digifanatic retreats a few steps, then runs up and leaps, going for a double Aerial Strike!
Metal Man (GM): The corpse of the armor is blown to pieces.
Dragoshi: "Okay... I think we dealt with the armor well enough... I think."
Garrick: "Let's keep moving." *makes to step over the armor and keep walking.*
Darkdata: "Well, I think Link should invite us next time he had to go dungeon crawling."
Metal Man (GM): The Questers step over the metal debris thrown around everywhere.
Digifanatic: *moves forward.*
Darkdata moves forward.
Dragoshi: "There. Now it can't reanimate... Just in case. Anyway..." *Moves on, making sure not to come into eye contact with the Gibdos and Re-deads... If any appear.*
Metal Man (GM): Garrick enters the next room. A Keese attacks! And it's on fire!
Leo: *moves forward.*
Metal Man (GM): It misses by a mile!
Dragoshi: "Again with the flaming bats!?" *Tidal Blasts it.*
Garrick: *SHOOTS it as it soars past.*
Metal Man (GM): It is blown to pieces. Millions of pieces.
Darkdata: The pieces are blown to pieces.
Dragoshi: "Stupid flaming bats..."
Digifanatic: "Dang, what else do we have to deal with?"
Leo: "Who knows..."
Metal Man (GM): Digi shouldn't have asked that.
Garrick: *growls... his luck... always his flippin' luck... he keeps on moving.*
Metal Man (GM): Another Moblin spear thrower, standing a distance away, throws a big ol' spear at Leo!
Leo: *gets lanced.*
Garrick: *unloads on another shot.*
Digifanatic: *Running Charge after Garrick.*
Metal Man (GM): It falls over, dead... ...Digi charges at it, but it had another spear ready. Digi runs into that spear and takes damage. Its dead body is trampled.
Metal Man (GM): Now there's a giant treasure chest on a small platform over here.
Darkdata takes the spear.
Leo: .oO("Damn what's next, an anthropormorphic horse...")
Garrick: "Alright... let me open this damn thing. I'm the flippin' meatshield, tonight..."
Leo: "Go for it..."
Dragoshi: *Still making sure not to make eye contact with anything undead...*
Metal Man (GM): No redead here. This place... is clearly older than that.
Garrick: *moves up to the chest in question, hesitating before he goes to open it. He does a quick check on the latches, hinges, and lock for traps...*
Metal Man (GM): The chest has no traps, and no lock. It is very well ornamented.
Garrick: "...alright... here goes..."
Dragoshi: *Gibdos, then?*
Garrick: *gets a good grip and opens it..*
Metal Man (GM): It opens up. Out pops... ...an entirely darkened out Garrick. It stands there, doing nothing.
Garrick: "...what the..."
Dragoshi: "Hey... An evil twin."
Leo: "...Evil twin?"
Garrick: *stares at him.* "...uhh... hey?"
Digifanatic: "I bet it that's shadow stuff, and I don't mean the hedgehog."
Metal Man (GM): It stands there... and it has red eyes. It morphs between each of the Questers. Then it simply gets into battle stance... it wants to fight... and not the bumrush kind of fight everything else here does.
Darkdata: "Great. A shadow clone. If you approach it, it will fight you."
Metal Man (GM): Do the Questers accept its challenge?
Garrick: "...let me take it."
Metal Man (GM): All the Questers can fight it.
Darkdata: "So, everyone, team attack when we start this fight?"
Garrick: "...eh. Well, since it's not some honorable fight..." *standing face to face with the thing, he simply draws his M-150 and proceeds to take two pop shots at it before things start off.*
Metal Man (GM): It takes out an M-150 and takes two pop shots at Garrick at the same time.
Darkdata: *Casts haste before the battle starts.*
Metal Man (GM): It casts haste on itself. It tried; but it cannot cast on itself... instead it ironically fails to cast it on everyone. Hit, hit, Garrick.
Darkdata: "So, guys, shall we team attack?"
Metal Man (GM): BATTLE. It is on the same space everyone else is on.
Dragoshi: *'K. Anyway, Dragoshi flipkicks it, first. >_>*
Darkdata: "Yes, no? Who agrees or disagrees?"
Metal Man (GM): It flipkicks at Dragoshi.
Garrick: "Not yet."
Metal Man (GM): Same damage as if Dragoshi did it. It mimics Dragoshi exactly.
Darkdata: "This is why I said we should team attack. It can't mimic all of us." *Puts his hand on his forehead.*
Digifanatic: "You have a point...
Dragoshi: *Proceeds to claw at then thing then.* "...I can endure anything it throws at me so it really doesn't matter. 'Sides..."
Metal Man (GM): It claws at Dragoshi.
Dragoshi: *Takes and deals damage and stun from that.*
Metal Man (GM): It does nothing for Darkdata's turn.
Garrick: "...it's copying us to the letter..."
Leo: *launches 2 lightning bolts at Dark Link.*
Metal Man (GM): It launches two lightning bolts at Leo. Both hit.
Garrick: "...you know, we could solve this in one simple move."
Garrick: *does a quick test... he raises his right arm.*
Metal Man (GM): It raises its right arm, which makes it morph to resemble Garrick.
Garrick: "Riiiight. Welp, bye guys." *proceeds to raise his M-150 to his temple, pull the hammer back, and pull the trigger, effectively killing himself in one easy blow.*
Darkdata: "Garrick, if you really think it would be that easy... Idiot..."
Metal Man (GM): Garrick dies. It, on the other hand, only takes the damage for one shot of the M-150, being made of shadowy material. It also has the energy of everyone here. It mimes falling onto the floor. It remains on the floor for its turn. Then it stands up and mimics Digi.
Darkdata: "You ready Digi?"
Digifanatic: "Yeah, I've got the idea."
Darkdata: *Darkdata begins singing the Amplify songspell.*
Digifanatic figures that with anything he has should hit him in return, but he's got nothing to lose... so he tries this: he starts out by using Hyper Beam Matrix on Dark Link. It invokes light, so this could be particularly nasty...
Metal Man (GM): It looks to Darkdata. Then the light attack.
Darkdata: "... boost the power of ..."
Metal Man (GM): It fails to amplify it and shoots an unamplified beam only at Digi. It is confused. Also, the amplification adds to whatever Digi's final result is.
Digifanatic: *He also takes both blows...*
Darkdata: "Nice work Digi."
Digifanatic: *Thanks to DD's Haste, he steps back a bit, and uses Celestial Fury on DL!* "Indeed."
Metal Man (GM): He takes the hit... seems to look confused. He's never fought two foes before, let alone one which could help the other. Then it uses a celestial fury back at Digi. It is hit by both, but it doesn't seem to mind. Team attacks, on the other hand...
Metal Man (GM): It morphs into Dragoshi.
Dragoshi: "...Soo... What should I do?"
Digifanatic: *Took a lot of that blow but holds on alright for now...*
Darkdata: "I say we all team attack it together."
Dragoshi: "...But what attack do I use?"
Digifanatic: "Problem is, you and I can't."
Darkdata: "Other people can pair up and work together."
Digifanatic: "Still fine by me."
Dragoshi: "Or maybe... We can just back away from it. I mean, if it has no form to copy..."
Garrick: *dead, because a good idea didn't work.*
Dragoshi: "Then again, it screwed logic over and survived a shot that'd normally kill... But, yea."
Darkdata: "Link Dragoshi and Leo and Garrick could work together. After Garrick... you know... gets up."
Dragoshi: "...Eh." *Charges up his flame breath and prepares...*
Darkdata: "Hmm..."
Metal Man (GM): It sits there and stares at Leo. It lays on the floor. It stands up and mimics Digi.
Digifanatic sits there as well.
Metal Man (GM): It stands around some more. Dark Link imitates the Questers: Suddenly silent and non-moving.
Dragoshi: *Holding his charge.* "...Dammit, people a little help here?"
Garrick: *can't help because he's dead. Blah.*
Metal Man (GM): For a minute there, I thought the Earth had exploded, and it'd be 3 hours until my part of the Earth exploded.
Dragoshi: *Well, if no one that's alive tis going to help worth a damn for the team attack, then yea.*
Digifanatic: *Can't aid in the team attack.*
Leo: "Hmmm... I think I have an idea."
Darkdata: "Hmm. Well, I guess I can recast haste." *Then... Use healing darksong on Dragoshi*
Dragoshi: *Blinks as he's fully healed.*
Garrick: *LIIIIVES!* "...did you kill him?"
Dragoshi: "...No. I mean, I would but no one was helping with the team-up idea, so..."
Garrick: "Oh... well, I can."
Dragoshi: "Okay. Good."
Garrick: "Wanna do it now?"
Dragoshi: "Sure, why not?"
Garrick: "Shall we?"
Dragoshi: "Yes. We shall."
Garrick: "After you."
Dragoshi: "Sure, sure..." *First, and foremostly, Dragoshi's nostrils flare up as he finally unleashes that charge he's been holding back into one massive orange/red gout of flame at the shadow!*
Garrick: *draws the rusty blade from his back sheath in a easy motion, moving to flank the dark, ghostly being and unload two massive grenades to pile to bring that fire even HIGHER!*
Metal Man (GM): Ok, I'll do the team attack first... hit... hit hit... He sits there and takes all of it--no response, as he can't mimic everyone at once. Dark Link stands, doing nothing.
Digifanatic tries giving Darkdata an Ultra Shroom...
Digifanatic: *Well, he does, but he's experimenting...*
Metal Man (GM): Dark Link gives Darkdata an ultra shroom too!
Darkdata: *Darkdata is healed*
Digifanatic: .oO(OH YES!)
Digifanatic bides the rest of his time.
Dragoshi: "Okay, what now?"
Garrick: "Hrm... wait..."
Dragoshi: "?"
Garrick: "...nah, nevermind."
Dragoshi: "C'mon... What was it?"
Garrick: "Well, I can think of two possibilities."
Darkdata: "I have a idea." (I just need it to be my turn.)
Dragoshi: "And, those are...?"
Garrick: "One, we pull out a Smash Emblem and toss it onto the ground. He'd do the same, and then we could snatch them and run. Hell, he's probably being powered BY a Emblem."
Dragoshi: "But what if he takes ours as well? ...Sides, I don't think we have the emblems with us."
Garrick: "Or two, we run have him fall into the traps back in the temple. The sword, the lava pit..."
Darkdata: "Or you could let me try my idea..."
Garrick: "Which is...?"
Darkdata: "You will see, it is kinda silly. I need him to be mimicking me though."
Dragoshi: "...He prolly' needs time to implement it, but eh..." *Stands still, tapping his foot out of boredom, so.*
Garrick: "...whatever."
Darkdata takes a step forward.
Metal Man (GM): It takes a step forwards.
Darkdata: "Dark link, do you agree to losing this battle nod like this *nods head.* if you agree."
Metal Man (GM): It nods its head like Darkdata.
Garrick: "..."
Metal Man (GM): It then waits for Darkdata to do something else.
Darkdata: "I knew it would not work." :|
Garrick: "...I GOT IT!"
Darkdata casts healing Darksong on Garrick to heal him.
Metal Man (GM): It heals Garrick too.
Dragoshi: "'K..."
Darkdata: "What is it?"
Garrick: "The fire bridge. We walk out onto the bridge, step onto the first stone. We both plummet, but one of you catches me before I fall. It, however, falls to its death into the lava."
Digifanatic: "Well, we've dealt with the skulls and whatnot the first time. Man, I can't believe I didn't try thinking outside of the box!"
Darkdata: *Looks around the room, what is in here anyway?*
Garrick: *would get the Dark Link's attention, then start walking out of the room... back to the fire bridge.*
Metal Man (GM): Dark Link begins walking in the opposite direction of Garrick, towards the wall. He continually walks into the wall as Garrick walks away towards the fire bridge.
Digifanatic: "Dang..."
Garrick: "Dah... hm..."
Digifanatic tries walking towards the wall...
Darkdata: "Start sidestepping."
Metal Man (GM): It only mimics Garrick right now.
Darkdata: "Walk like a ps3 crab!"
Dragoshi: *Does the same as Digi... because yes.
Garrick: *frowns, then backs up a few paces and runs head long into open space, making him run into the wall full force.*
Metal Man (GM): A skeleton falls from the ceiling and attacks Garrick! The skull floats at Garrick! A bubble shoots fire at Garrick! The Dark Link continues walking into the wall... perhaps Garrick's going the wrong direction.
Darkdata: "Sidestep Garrick, he will sidestep too!"
Garrick: "God, FINE!" *he growls and sidesteps.*
Metal Man (GM): Dark Link sidesteps as well. But he's still at the wall.
Garrick: "There, you happy?"
Metal Man (GM): Anything else, Garrick?
Darkdata: "Keep going." ._. "Or let me do it, your choice."
Metal Man (GM): Dark Link stands still.
Digifanatic: "I've got an idea..."
Digifanatic tries a sequence of steps that would ultimately put Dark Link next to the treasure chest...
Metal Man (GM): Digi walk towards him; he walks towards Digi. So forth. He stands next to the chest.
Digifanatic then does a stepping motion, hoping that Dark Link will step into the open chest.
Metal Man (GM): He steps into it.
Darkdata: "Oh, hehehe, nice thinking Digi."
Digifanatic crouches so that Dark Link's body would be covered up by the chest... the question is, how?
Garrick: "...is there anything IN the chest besides him??"
Digifanatic: "Does anyone have a ranged attack with paralysis? Uh oh..."
Darkdata: "Wait... I have a idea!"
Digifanatic: *still crouching.* "What do you think?"
Darkdata: "Why don't we all get close to Dark Link and move at the same time to confuse him?"
Digifanatic: "Yeah, that's possible."
Garrick: "Why can't we just SHOOT him already?! Everything we've tried has failed!"
Dragoshi: "...It'll fail. He'll only copy one of us to avoid confusion. Also, he'll just counterattack us, Garrick."
Garrick: "This is PISSING ME OFF!"
Darkdata: "..."
Digifanatic bides for now.
Dragoshi: "Maybe..." *Just mimics the action of the chest being closed from the insides. >_>*
Metal Man (GM): He mimics closing the chest. However it just springs back open. Apparently there's more to it than evading him...
Dragoshi: "...I swear, if it's anything ridiculouslike this, then I'm going to bang my head against the wall." *Walks forward, and past the guy, then looks in the chest.*
Darkdata: "... I get the feeling that..."
Metal Man (GM): Dragoshi walks towards him. He walks towards Dragoshi. Then he continues walking after Dragoshi walks past him. He's headed down the corridor with the skeleton and towards the lava...
Garrick: "..."
Darkdata: "This is what I meant by sidestep."
Metal Man (GM): The Questers had it backwards. The room is small.
Dragoshi: *Continues walking. Whee.*
Metal Man (GM): Dragoshi hits the wall... but he can still mime walking with his face in the wall. As Dark Link did. After a few minutes (And Dark Link mimicking skeletons and blowing up baddies back there) He is fried. The Smash Emblem flies out from back whence he fried... for he was made with the negative energy of all the Questers put together.
Dragoshi: "...This is one of the weirder moments of my life, I swear." *Mimes walking with his face in the wall.*
Garrick: "Someone grab it so we can go home..."
Darkdata goes to pick up the emblem.
Dragoshi: *Heads back to do so...>_>*
Digifanatic: "Yeah..." *exhales deeply.*
Metal Man (GM): Darkdata picks it up. *Zelda item gain noise.*
Darkdata: *You got the Smash Emblem. It is one of the items needed to destroy The Void for good. Only 1 Left!*
Garrick: *takes a seat on the chest, his head in his hands... his luck, ALWAYS his luck these days...*
Darkdata: "Garrick, can you move? I want to see what is in the chest?" .*
Dragoshi: *Well, how about that warp out that's supposed to appear..*
Garrick: "There is nothing in the chest..." *reaches his hand in, feels around at the air, then holds it up.* "See? Nothing."
Metal Man (GM): Indeed. Nothing.
Digifanatic takes out his Dex and rings Metal up for the warp back.
Metal Man (GM): The warp back appears.
Darkdata: "Meh. *Grabs the chest for his room.* I will toss it in the portal." *Drags the chest and himself through the portal.*
Dragoshi: *Walks on in to the warp...*
Digifanatic: *warps.*
Garrick: *sighs softly, now on the ground since Dark pulled the chest out from under him... pulling himself to his feet, he warps back.*
Darkdata: "Metal Man, we had a little problem with Alexia."
Metal Man (GM): The temple collapses behind the Questers... never to be seen again.
Metal Man looks to Dark. "Hm?"
Darkdata brings the stoned Alexia back with the ring.
Darkdata: "She grabbed the fake master sword and..."
Garrick: "It's a curse. She finally got what she flippin' wanted."
Metal Man: "Ah well. Dr. Mario can fix that!"
Dr. Mario: "Yes! I-a can fix anything! I better get out the spark-plugs!"
Metal Man (GM): Dr. Mario wheels around several carts full of... automotive parts...
Darkdata: ?
Garrick: "...she's just PETRIFIED... She doesn't have an oil leak, damn it!"
Dr. Mario: "Yes, but... I went to the wrong school. I have a doctorate in automotive repair!"
Dragoshi: "..."
Dr. Mario: "And... Torture... yes... er... no..." He walks off.
Dragoshi: "This is rather awkward..." >_>;;
Metal Man: "Good old Dr. Mario."
Garrick: *sigh.* "I give up..."
Metal Man: "Alexia won't have vapor lock anymore when he's done with her."
Digifanatic: *Thank goodness he is not there.*
Garrick: "Seriously, I've had it up to here with all this..."
Darkdata goes to his room, dragging the chest from the temple with him.
Garrick: "...whatever..."
Dragoshi: "..."
Garrick: *walks off, his hands shoved in his pockets as he goes.*
Metal Man idly fiddles with the controls. "Three emblems... The Void's time is foreshortened."
Dragoshi: "Yep... There's only one emblem left..."
Metal Man: "I do wonder... what we will do once he is dealt with... for it is not The Void I worry about..."
Dragoshi: "...Then what is it, Metal?" *Leaning against the wall, top hat and cloak off.*
Metal Man: "What will we do, without omniscient super-villains to battle? Because there were some out there, and The Void destroyed them. If we're lucky, this planet survives."
Dragoshi: "...I don't know. ...But for some reason, I have a feeling..."
Metal Man: "But we won't have any foes. Nobody. Kuja's dead, Charles' dead... The Void would probably be next, right?"
Dragoshi: "That there might be something else other than the Void out there. Also, yes..."
Metal Man: "I dunno. The Void's power is insane. If there's worse, then the entire galaxy might as well explode now..."
Dragoshi: "And, I mean unless I'm right, or Void manages to escape yet somehow be weakened horribly, then yea..."
Metal Man: "'Cause we don't have anything more than these Emblems. They're doomsday tokens Master Hand buried thinking nobody would ever ever use."
Garrick: *sits quietly in his lab on the Dauntless, tapping his pen against a sheet of paper...*
Dragoshi: "...But the problem is, what if I'm right? And what if this worse thing is pretty much, well... Using watching us? Watching our every move? Maybe i'm thinking too much."
Metal Man: "There's only so far the Russian doll goes, Dragoshi. I can't quite foresee somebody so diabolical they wait this long to simply toy with us. We killed all of those people. Charles would have been that man... he's dead. Oh, if Charles were here, our adventures would never end. He would just become crazier and stronger until we all exploded at old age."
Garrick: "...so, what happens when it's over?" *walks back in, still looking upset as hell.* "We're supposed to go back to normal? Do we get sent back to our times and places?"
Metal Man: "...That's my confusion."
Traon: *And as if to appear to Dragoshi's question, Traon walks in.* "Couldn't help but over hear you two's conversation. Now this may sound weird coming out of my mouth Dragoshi, but think of this logic thats been passed around. Space is unlimited, and there is probably ALWAYS something worse out there. Just keep that in mind." *He said that and like usual, leans against a wall to listen.*
Darkdata walks back into the room.
Garrick: "I doubt it. I seriously doubt it.
Metal Man: "What does happen? I mean. This chair." *He gets up.* "It's been sat in so much everything but the seat broke."
Traon shrugs. "We can truly never know exactly."
Metal Man: "What will I sit in if I have to get a new job?"
Garrick: "What will we ALL do?"
Traon: "I'll probably end up going back to being a janitor and/or a hitman."
Metal Man: "I dunno. Maybe I could manage corporations."
Darkdata: "Hmm, I still wonder, if there will be a miracle effect if we defeat the void.
Dragoshi: "I'll prolly' go back to being a wanderer if we disband..."
Garrick: "I suppose I could open a body shop or something... build stuff..."
Darkdata: "I would have to go back to my homeworld, or explore around here... If worse comes to worse I can open a candy shop."
Metal Man: "Reminds me... I still have a grudge to settle with Julian."
Traon sighs "Both my jobs were depressing... I might find myself a new profession actually."
Metal Man: "I should begin training again."
Garrick: "Metal, why won't you just let it GO already?"
Dragoshi: "...And, I really need to find a good way to get some practice in..."
Metal Man: "Because if this job is over, it's about all I have left."
Garrick: "Look, people are going to get bored. I wouldn't be surprised if they started up the Melee again."
Dragoshi: "Yea... I mean, what's the point." :/
Traon: "Well... There is one thing we could do.."
Dragoshi: "Hm?"
Garrick: *glances to Traon, irritated.*
Traon: "We travel through space and eradicate any evils, no matter how small, or large. Just a thought."
Garrick: "We've already done that."
Dragoshi: "Yea... And those planets were apparently illusions of the Void..."
Garrick: "It's ALL illusions of the Void... Hell, we could just be another one of those dimensions that get swallowed up by it."
Metal Man: "Everyone off of Nintendus, and a lot of it on there, was The Void. In a way, I felt more comfortable fighting Kuja."
Dragoshi: "Meh..."
Darkdata: "Heh, the Wind Fish effect."
Garrick: *takes that V pendant out of his pocket again.* "And I still don't know what the hell this is."
Metal Man: "Probably The Void trying to take over your mind... although... you're probably not like Aetos. So it does nothing to you."
Garrick: "...I don't know why I still have it."
Traon: "We all have our own trinkets that we don't know what the point is." he pulls out a gold nugget. "First this was a walnut or something... Then someone turned it into a gold nugget. I have no idea what to use it for."
Metal Man: "I do wish I could see Aetos one last time... I'd close all the unfinished things I threatened against him for insubordination."
Darkdata: "Just explode it Garrick! You know you want to. :P"
Metal Man: "I mean, he practically worshiped Charles. He probably doesn't even know he's dead."
Garrick: "...I'll chop it with the rusty old crap sword." *tosses it onto the table and draws said sword, swinging it down onto it.*
Dragoshi: "...I wonder who'll have to tell him about the whole thing about him having to 'repent 'lest he'll vanish' thing."
Metal Man (GM): It's gonna take a couple slashes to break it with the crud sword.
Metal Man: "A guy named Trigger left that here one day, heh."
Traon: "When everything is over... I guess I'll go on a quest to figure out a way to get rid of whats inside of me. This being... gives me urges to do unforgivable things... I must be rid of it. But yet... I savor the power it gives me... I don't know what to do."
Garrick: *keeps it up, then.*
Metal Man (GM): It eventually is broken into many pieces.
Metal Man: "Yup... random piece of garbage. The Void's specialty."
Dragoshi: "Mhm..."
Garrick: *gathers up the pieces and throws them to the side, growling.* "And here I thought I had something special... but, like everything else, it's a lie."
Metal Man: "Although, Aetos might try to inhale it..."
Metal Man looks around. "Dang. Referencing his name doesn't work either."
Garrick: *sighs and drops his forehead into the table.*
Dragoshi: *Scratches his head.* "Just have a bad feeling about this..."
Garrick: "What's the info on the last Emblem, Metal?"
Dragoshi: "I mean, what about that Aran guy? What, was he an illusion too?"
Garrick: "Care to give us a sneak preview or something?"
Metal Man: "All I know... is... uhhh... yeah. It's in the Mushroom Kingdom. Back where it all started. Aran? I guess that was partially true. Remember, The Void came from the staff."
Darkdata: "Down the pit of 100 trials?"
Dragoshi: "Yea... He did come from the staff..."
Metal Man: "I dunno, Darkdata." *He thinks.* "The Void came from the staff, Aran's staff. So it'd make sense another nickname could be Aran. But I doubt that was a name he uses for himself... just a nickname some people gave him."
Garrick: "...well, I'm going to go clean my guns and hopefully come up with something." *heads off, back to the Dauntless..*
Darkdata heads to his room to take a nice long rest. "Night Metal."
Dragoshi: "...What to do, what to do..."
Metal Man: "See ya, Darkdata."
Dragoshi: *Absent-mindedly flexes his left claw.* "Heh... Has this usually happened? And, by 'this', I mean... That everything's going to hell, the world's about to end, and we only have one last chance at defeating our ultimate foe?"
