Date: October 24th, 2007.
Trivia: S.I.M.B.E.R. stands for Simple Integration Machine and Basic Encryption Engine.
Metal Man (GM): Yet more time has passed. Enough for the HQ to be (partially) rebuilt. It's now armored and has laser turrets all about. It should be safe enough. The Questers are in the new and improved R&R, now complete with a monitor that flickers between various security videos of the area.
Dragoshi: *And, Dragoshi is taking a break from the rebuilding... By drinking the usual glass of sake/hot sauce mixture. As per usual. >_>*
Metal Man (GM): As they're there, SIMBER suddenly appears. He's a bit different now; thanks to Panzer's repairs on him...
Kamui: *watches at the monitor, his arms crossed along his chest.*
Digifanatic: *takes a gander around the place* "Looking good."
Metal Man (GM): He stands about 6 feet tall, wearing an angular, almost German uniform. His face remains relatively plain and anglo-saxon-ish, his expression normal. He has a piece of paper in his right hand, and a badge (newly added) commemorating his service in the past.
SIMBER: "I come to you, Questers, bringing some news about our little... incident... a while ago."
Metal Man (GM): His voice is still electronic and a little twangy.
Dragoshi: *Stops drinking for a second and puts the glass down* "What is news, per chance?"
Metal Man (GM): It doesn't echo much.
Kamui: *watches on at the screen, then looks over towards SIMBER.*
Panzer is in the room by chance, dusting her hands off, wiping oil off her armor with a cloth. "What kind of trouble, you archaic piece of scrap?"
SIMBER: "Ganondorf is gone, Lakitu is gone. Bowser is now also gone. Master Hand thinks there's something bad brewing out there. We have enough defenses now, so there is much to do... We tracked Giovanni. He's operating out of Saffron."
Metal Man (GM): An image shows... e gads. It's Saffron City, a city of tall buildings, and, oddly, car-free streets.
Panzer rolls her eyes and crosses her arms, not too happy as she waits for something useful to be said.
Metal Man (GM): With a wall all around it... ...But most importantly, Team Rocket logos atop every building.
Chancé: "Hmm, So where do we begin then -- Erk."
Digifanatic: "Oh man, they took it for keeps."
Metal Man (GM): A massive wall-hanging of Giovanni atop the tallest building, Silph Co (now Team Rocket) HQ, apparently.
Kamui: "... R... R... A lot of R's."
SIMBER: "This explains how he had the means to destroy such a large portion of our headquarters. Unfortunately... it is too heavily armored to break into at the moment."
Chancé: "Someone has an ego problem... @_@;"
SIMBER: "Somebody, or SOMETHING, told him about this thing called guns."
Dragoshi: "...Apparently so."
Panzer: "Wasn't me. I keep my guns to myself."
Metal Man (GM): It zooms in. Patrols of two men each, with visors and full armor suits, with the R insignia. And guns.
SIMBER: "Furthermore, they have no known weak points. All vents, strangely, have been bricked over. You could fly in, but there's anti-aircraft guns hidden in those buildings. Of course. That large buildup has many relations. It is those that I suggest you investigate."
Panzer looks around. "You guys got a big bomb around here or something?
Metal Man (GM): A picture appears, showing one of Bowser's fortresses. It's right smack dab in the middle of...
Digifanatic: "No, I don't have any bombs..."
Metal Man (GM): Mute City?!?!?!?!
Chancé: "... Someone is expanding..."
SIMBER: "Bowser's cretins were seen invading the area. Strangely, none of them acknowledge Bowser as their leader."
Digifanatic: "Oh man..."
Kamui: *watches on, remaining silent and to himself at the moment trying to weigh the options.*
Metal Man (GM): Another image appears. Redeads running loose in Saturn Valley.
SIMBER: "Ganondorf spent no time moving in troops of his own, which we also can't verify as his. The strangest one, however, is this."
Dragoshi: "...Redeads in Saturn Valley. What the hell."
Panzer: "Then they have another leader. They're stupid creatures. They're not smart enough to organize an attack with any tactical relevance without someone behind them as brain power."
Metal Man (GM): There's an image of Metal Man walking through a Galactic Federation city.
SIMBER: "We found this. He had vanished until recently. He's been reported in as many as 10 locations."
Metal Man (GM): Dr. Mario glances in.
Dr. Mario: "Oh-a yes! He helped me buy my second-a mansion! Er... because I was such a valued member of the team-a. Back when. Yes!" *Ducks back into his room, which is easily accessible from here.*
SIMBER: "..." *Shakes his head* "That besides, there's also this base... it could use more defenses."
Panzer: "SIMBER, just get to the fucking gist.
Dragoshi: "Of course."
SIMBER: "I've got wind an attack will happen. It was attached to one of our dead guards. Somebody had a good shot. So we should do something." *He looks to Panzer* "Didn't get the memo? The Questers choose what is most important now."
Panzer narrows her eyes.
SIMBER: "They're the ones risking their lives. I have briefed you on the current situation. That said..." *Image of the other multiverses fly by* "You guys can go anywhere you wish. So. What'll it be?"
Panzer: "Okay kid, look, you're talking about lots of things that make no sense at all."
Kamui: "..." *turns, walking over to Dr.Mario's room* "Hey, Doc, you have something you wanna share with us?"
Aribar hrms, having been listening all this time...* "How soon will this attack happen? And from who?"
Digifanatic: *decides to wait to see if the Doc will respond before making any decisions.*
SIMBER: "Well, none of it makes sense, really. The attack." *He displays a paper, written in red... ink?*
Aribar reads the paper.
Metal Man (GM): 'YoU aLl WiLL dIe In ThIrTeEn DaYs, GiVe Or TaKe'
Chancé: "..."
SIMBER: "Attached with a nail to an unlucky security guard. It seems vaguely familiar handwriting."
Aribar mutters, "Hopefully not give or take 13 days..."
Panzer reads it over his shoulder. "I don't know what new enemies you've all made so I can't help. No reploid that I know has this writing. Seems humanoid."
Digifanatic: *looks at the note* .oO(BoInG? Nah...)
SIMBER: "So... what do you think should be done? Snake was going to comment, but Dr. Mario's busy fixing up the side of his face that Nidoking smashed."
Digifanatic: "Ah."
Panzer: "Ari, what do you think?"
Dr. Mario: *While wrapping up Snake's face* "Me? Uh... nothing! Nothing more-a than what I said, yes."
Aribar: "Well, let's see here... Giovanni not going anywhere, so we don't need to particularly worry about him.."
Dragoshi: "Yep..."
SIMBER: "Indeed. Giovanni spent his resources on attacking us."
Panzer: "I'm talking about what enemies do you have right now, smart one."
Digifanatic: "Heh, yeah..."
Aribar: "Oh, hrm... I don't think we have... Angered anyone since the destruction of the Void."
SIMBER: "Except possibly Bowser, Ganondorf, Giovanni, and whoever wrote that note?"
Aribar: "Er, yeah."
Kamui: "... Ok then, but if you remember something of importance, I'll listen." *With that, he turns and walks back for the group.*
Panzer: "Then I don't know what to tell you. I've been inactive for too damn long. I'll go outside and look for more clues." She did so, stepping outside. Tank was currently away, hidden in a new place :D She wandered the campus, looking for anything that might possibly trigger a reaction with her CPU.
Metal Man (GM): Panzer would see a lot of footprints scattered around.
Chancé: "Looking for Metal Man would help us find information... however I feel kinda bad about leaving those poor Saturns with those redeads.."
SIMBER: "We are unsure as to the Saturn's status."
Aribar: "In any case... Bowser and Ganondorf have both taken the offensive, and out of the two defending factions the Saturns are probably less prepared... Aye, and we could help find Metal."
Digifanatic: "Hmm..."
Dragoshi: "Yea... Especially since Redeads are friggin' nasty."
Aribar: "Oh, wait, you said that Metal was in a Galactic Federation city?
Dragoshi: "That he did."
Digifanatic: "I like looking at both of those scenarios... I mean, it'd be good to help out the Saturns, but it's hard to turn down talking to Metal..."
Aribar: "Perhaps we can kill two birds with one fireball then..."
SIMBER: "Yes, Galactic Federation."
Kamui: "It's two birds with one stone, Aribar."
SIMBER: "That was where he was last seen."
Aribar: "We can search for Metal and ask that Galactic Federation for help. I remember Snake commenting on how we could ask them for some help. Eh, fireball, stone... Sorta of the same thing."
SIMBER: "So... do the rest of you like that idea?"
Kamui: *shrugs his shoulders* "I'll go with it."
Digifanatic: "Yeah... as much as I would like helping the Saturns, it's probably a good break that we can catch up to Metal now."
Chancé: "Yes, he might know what is going on. If we keep focusing on the sides... we may never figure it out before it is too late."
Panzer follows them around, kneeling to try and gather whatever possible from the composition of them, doubting they were made by her.
Metal Man (GM): They seem to be bootprints. The bootprints have the 'R' mark on the bottom. Of course, it's mirrored--it's a print.
SIMBER: "Hm... then, one moment."
Metal Man (GM): A copy of SIMBER appears suddenly before Panzer.
SIMBER: "Any new information? The others have decided to... track down Metal Man."
Panzer jumps a little. "Motherfucker, make some noise when you do that. No. Just foot prints with an R on the bottom. Haven't been tracking long. Though, it could be a ruse."
SIMBER: *Inside R&R* "Panzer has found bootprints with R on them. Do you still wish to do the current objective?"
Panzer continues to judge them. She stands. "RepliForce and The Red Alert syndicate aren't in this time, and they aren't made by reploidic boots from what I judge... look like regular boots." She tries to match the R with the classic R Team Rocket has as a logo.
Metal Man (GM): Exact fit. Narcissism at its best.
Digifanatic: "Hmm... if it is associated with the Rockets, there's a chance I'm changing my vote."
Chancé: "Yes, they may also give us information, and also stop them from spying on us... I am willing to change my vote."
Panzer stands and continues to follow them. "I don't think, from what I know of Team Rocket... I doubt they're capable of this sort of thing." She again paused, trying to gauge their freshness, and any other visible traces of a foreign soil in comparison to the soil found around the base.
Aribar: "If we go after the Rockets and Giovanni, I would like to hope that we could get the help of the police or a gym or something..."
Metal Man (GM): They're relatively old. They have sandy soil in them. It's foreign all right. They can be seen near where the most damage was done to the base.
SIMBER: "Yes, their base is heavily guarded."
Kamui: "Gym? You mean a bunch of sweaty, large people?"
Digifanatic: "No, not to the Pokemon folks."
Panzer gets up, looking for anything unrelated, figuring that they were made during the attack. She looks for something else, something different and something correlating more with the time of the note.
Digifanatic: "For those, it's a place where a Pokemon Trainer can fight against the best fellow trainers in the area."
Aribar: "Ah, not exactly. In Saffron City and other areas there are Pokemon gyms. They're part of a fighting league of sorts.
Metal Man (GM): Nothing different. A body-shaped impression on the ground from, apparently, where the guard in question was killed.
Kamui: "Oh..." *Still slightly confused as he never seen a pokemon.*
Panzer tapped her comlink, not knowing if the Questers carried commlinks or not, if anything, Snake could pick it up. "These footprints are old. Tell me something, is there a lot of sandy soil around the Rocket base? It's possible, that, if the Rocket building has all it's vents and things blocked, it's a ruse. Something to distract us. They could be located somewhere else. Somewhere closer."
Kamui: *picks up the com transmission, then replies* "Any ideas as to where exactly?"
Metal Man (GM): Panzer's voice would be heard across the dexes.
SIMBER: "Odd... there's no sand in Saffron. Only on beaches, like in Fuschia, Pallet, and Cinnabar."
Aribar: "SIMBER, where's the closest desert or beach?"
Digifanatic: "Hmm... judging by what he says, I wouldn't be surprised if they're ambushing from somewhere else, wherever that is. "*
Panzer judges that there's nothing new around. She smiled. "Then start researching there. A building has to be ventilated somehow, otherwise the inhabitants would die from asphixiation. Think outside the box kids. Otherwise you'd have died attacking a worthless target." She kneels to look for clues around the imprint.
SIMBER: "Closest? There's a river nearby Toad Town. As this is a hub world, not much water beyond that, a small lake around Peach's Castle."
Chancé: "The closest with the means to hide a base."
SIMBER: "Are you suggesting there's an underwater base???"
Chancé: "Heck, the closest shady area, not necessarily a beach that could hide a base."
Digifanatic: "Yeah, then again, with the way Toad Town's been blown up before, it seems kinda suspicious if they put a base there before..."
Dragoshi: "Hey. It could be possible."
Panzer shakes her head. "You're not thinking outside the box. You can warp, so can other people. They could come from anywhere. Even a different world."
SIMBER: "Sandy area. No deserts immediately in this area. There's a Golf course closer than the Toad Town sand. That's it. This is the same world in which Mario often does his parties and races, for some reason... --But don't worry, most of the Parties revolve around a very special holodeck. You don't have to worry about hordes of beaches there."
Digifanatic: "Heh... the Rockets could be a classy bunch, but I don't think I've ever seen one on a golf course..."
Panzer rolls her eyes. "SIMBER, I'll bring the sand in. Compare it with known samples of sand from those areas. Sand isn't the same everywhere."
Digifanatic: "Oh, good one, Panz!"
SIMBER: "Correct. One type is made from Quartz rock, and the other... I forget."
Digifanatic: *snaps fingers with a sort of "Why didn't I think of that?" feel.*
Panzer: "I'll glance around once more, then be inside." True to her word, she glanced around and went back in, a handful of sand being held out for SIMBER.
Metal Man (GM): Panzer discovers a box of dominoes pizza. It is irrelevant to anything else she's seen. Indeed. It looks like Dr. Mario carelessly tossed it out here. His name's on the receipt.
Panzer takes it in, giving the sand to SIMBER, walking to Dr. Mario and giving him the box via trying to whack him on the head with it :D
Aribar: "Perhaps we can deal with the Rockets as our main priority at this time. With just the Dexes we can call the Galactic Federation, ask for aid in defending Mute City and Saturn Valley, and to try and find Metal. Then we can... Do something with the Rockets."
Panzer: "Litterbug."
Dr. Mario: "Mama-mia!" *He brushes the pizza crumbs off his hair.*
Digifanatic: "I like that, Ari."
SIMBER: "Hm... this sand... Cinnabar island, or Peach's castle. Or both?!?! It's really odd. Volcanic in nature."
Digifanatic: "Cinnabar? I know Blaine loves his magma."
Panzer: "Narrow down the search, SIMBER. Known volcanic origins of both volcanoes. There are three types of volcanoes, if I remember right..."
Digifanatic: "And if I remember correctly... isn't Cinnabar popular for its laboratories?"
SIMBER: "Cindercone, and... shield... and composite."
Panzer: "Final location?"
SIMBER: "Hm... that is right... this matches Peach's castle. An ancient shield cone volcano... not a cindercone. However, there's trace amounts of sand from a cindercone in here. I bet there's a connection."
Aribar: "Cinnabar would make more sense. Peach's castle has been the scene of a few of Bowser's flying castles, which might contain that volcanic sand... Of course, Bowser could have somehow taken over the castle covertly or helped the Rockets build a secret base.."
Digifanatic: "Huh... thanks for bailing me."
SIMBER: "Most of the sand indicates Peach's castle. Whatever is relative to the sneak attack, at least."
Panzer nods. "Clever, but no cigar. They're not smart enough to cover their tracks like that."
SIMBER: "But... where?"
Digifanatic: "Hmm... anybody know anyone on Cinnabar we could contact?"
Panzer shrugs. "Unknown. I'm unfamiliar with these places."
SIMBER: "Blaine... he's not very friendly though. You must answer 10 questions just to talk to him."
Digifanatic: "Yeah..."
SIMBER: "He hides behind a series of locked doors."
Digifanatic: "And I doubt any of his buddies are any more willing."
Panzer: "I'll go back out and look for more clues. Discuss what you can, I'll contact you again on my cl when or if I find something."
Kamui: *Raises an eyebrow* "Guess he likes intellectual conversations."
SIMBER: "If you want, you can always look for it."
Panzer aaaaaaaaaaand out she does, back to the imprint. She kneels and looks towards the horizon for anything weird through her rifle's 10x scope, 360 around, looking at the base excluded.
SIMBER: "If there's tracks here, I bet there's some where they came from..."
Aribar: "Mmm... In any case, I want to get communications with the Galactic Federation out of the way before we forget again." *He tries to contact their president on his Smash Dex.*
Dragoshi: "Good idea, Ari."
Metal Man (GM): Panzer sees a sniping position hidden in a tree. There's some ashes, indicating somebody burnt up their paper relating to it. Furthermore, you see a discharged cartridge/bullet casing. Furthermore, Panzer notices an indentation where somebody hit the tree pretty hard, possibly climbing up it. The weirdest one is a strange burn in the area where the shot was fired. It doesn't correspond to any known pattern for fire.
Panzer looks to see if she'd been seen, knowing she'd see see a glint of a cope or something were there movement. She smiles. She seems no one, but ballistics could be good. She gets on the comlink again. "I've found an abandoned sniping position. Going to investigate. Don't come out, I don't know if the sniper is still in the area, and who better to fuck with a sniper than another sniper." She gets up and walks to the position.
Aribar: "Okay." *Awaits for his dex to connect.*
Kamui: *sits down, sighing softly and rests his head in his left palm. He looked a little bored now.*
Metal Man (GM): Aribar calls the Galactic Federation. A GF Envoy appears on the dex.
Dragoshi: "Understood." *Just takes a sip, being silent. For now, anyway.*
GF Envoy: "Hello, what can I do for you, Quester?"
Panzer routes her visual capacities to Digi's dex so he can see what she sees, so he could more or less share it with Snake, hoping he was smart enough to do so o.o.
Aribar: "Greetings, I am Aribar Hunter of the Questers. We have called to... Ask a bit of assistance of your organization."
Metal Man (GM): Snake would be looking at his dex, as he would see it after opening it.
GF Envoy: "While you botched the holo cylinders, we're always open to help. What do you have in mind?"
Digifanatic: *looking at Dex* .oO(Okay... this one's interesting.)
Metal Man (GM): Panzer sees, mostly, bootmarks, scuff marks, etc.
Digifanatic tries to perceive something like a wobble in the firearm's position, etc, if there still is one.
Aribar: "We've two requests. The first is rather simple; We have heard that our past leader, Metal Man, has been seen in one of your cities. If you could tell your officials to pass on a message, we would be most thankful."
Metal Man (GM): Panzer, most likely correctly, determines there are no people wandering nearby. Security is tight. Digi also notices there's nothing unusual.
Digifanatic: *to others* "Nothing's wobbling..."
Metal Man (GM): It appears the big attack was a while ago, as was this post.
Panzer is up on the position by now, picking up the casing. She listens for anything out of the ordinary, eying the burns. She'd scrape a little off of the tree, the bark included of course. She opens a compartment in her armor and puts it there. She does the same with the casing, tucking it into a separate compartment.
Metal Man (GM): The casing appears strangely futuristic. It has a strange powder on it unlike any normal rounds Panzer has seen.
Panzer would route the feed to someone else, probably SIMBER if he could detect it. She liked having more eyes on something than her own, to get the best possible judgment. She looks around, snapping and storing visual files of the whole place, looking at the boots.
SIMBER: *Would display the feed on the R&R screen facing the Questers.*
Metal Man (GM): Boot scuff-marks are partially black, they apparently had a weird coating as well.
Deloth walks in, yawning.
Panzer analyzes the boot prints, not recognizing the coatings and powder, nothing like her rifle at all. She takes samples from the scuffs and all, into another compartment of her armor. Separate from the other two things. She looked up at the tree briefly. She looked around for anything else out of the ordinary.
Metal Man (GM): Nothing much. The area has no other evidence of people or snipers.
Deloth: "...What's up?"
Panzer climbs up the tree and settles into the same spot the sniper must have been in, she assumed, taking her rifle out and looking through the scope to try and see what they could have been aiming at, looking for any noticeable holes in things, here there and everywhere.
GF Envoy: "We will pass on the message. Yes."
Metal Man (GM): Panzer sees nothing much, except it has a straight line to the place where the body indentation is.
Aribar: "Thank you. Tell him that the Questers have need of his assistance."
GF Envoy: "I will do so, however our records show he seems to be elusive."
Aribar: "If would be nice if he could make his way back to our HQ."
Panzer taps her fingers. "So. A new enemy, that has a giant nail gun. Oh my."
Aribar: "Aye, ours as well. It is a slim chance that you will find him, but still a chance."
Panzer looks around one more good time before climbing down and shouldering her rifle, walking back to base again.
Aribar: "And as for our second request... Some of our enemies have mounted an offensive against several realms. Namely, Giovanni of Sliph Co. and Team Rocket, Bowser of the Mushroom Kingdom, and Ganondorf of Hyrule."
Deloth: "...Uh, anybody mind explaining what's going on?"
Metal Man (GM): This, FYI, is where a 'persistence' specialty would usually come in. Panzer discovers that her footprints exist.
GF Envoy: "How quaint. The Space Pirates have been putting the squeeze on us, too. Except they have strange new allies who are more intelligent than they are."
Panzer looks down and back. "... Stupid, heavy... Fucking... BOOTS!" Bleh. Keeps walking. Looks around again, knowing her footprints were uber unique, being heavy and very deep. Wow. XD.
Dragoshi: "Who are these strange allies, if I may ask? Or do you lack info on them?"
Aribar: "Hrm... So you would have no men to spare on even a scouting mission? I would take it a good-sized defensive force would be out of the question.."
Metal Man (GM): Panzer finds a discarded candy wrapper. Kirby's flipper-print is on it. And back into the base she'd go.
GF Envoy: "We can only give you assistance for one offensive, and our men have to leave immediately. Unless you yourselves had the time to aid us. But you don't, right?"
Panzer wonder what the hell that dumb, ping glob would be doing out here. Meh. Oh well. She walks into the base, the feed cut off. "So. We have a futuristic sniper that shot the guard with the note. Team Rocket has nothing to do with it.
SIMBER: "Beautiful. The GF guy just mentioned super-intelligent beings attacking their forces."
Deloth: "..."
SIMBER: "It looks like we're dealing with something nasty."
Panzer: "But, they attacked the base. Duh, and the building in Saffron City is fake, all the guards on it are probably rookies. I'd say that the two events are not connected." She gives the casing, burn bark sample, and weird coating sample to SIMBER.
Aribar: "I would have to discuss this with the other Questers, but I believe we would probably defend a different location to ensure all of our bases are covered."
SIMBER: *Scan* "... Advanced teleportation technology."
Dragoshi: "Of what make?"
SIMBER: "And it looks a lot like ours... even more advanced than that."
Dragoshi: "Peculiar."
Panzer: "What's on the casing? And can you make out anything with ballistics correlation?
SIMBER: "The bullet is something else, it shouldn't even work under normal conditions. It's vaguely radioactive, even."
Panzer: "Radiation type?"
SIMBER: "Minor alpha and beta ray, or something like that. It's faint, whatever it is is likely to be depleted radioactive material. Very heavy, and this variant has a strange blue powder which I cannot check without a lab assistant of some kind..."
Panzer nods. "Not dangerous... Not likely from any source found near here, and not of the same strand as my core. What of the burn pattern... Where is the body of the guard?"
SIMBER: "The burn pattern corresponds to the advanced warp technology. Whoever shot that man walked in, shot them, and vanished. And here." Dr. Mario wheels in the corpse of a normal-looking human.
Panzer shakes her head. "No, they didn't walk in. And there was evidence of a scuffle, perhaps someone tried to stop them?" She shrugs, walking to the body and looking at it. "Where's the round? You said it was a nail or something."
Metal Man (GM): Whoever shot him hit him in the dead center of the chest. Dr. Mario takes out a plastic baggie with a very long round with a rather pointy edge. Oddly, it looks vaguely Russian, if you have knowledge of that here.
Dr. Mario: "Nothing else I've-a seen looks like this. And I saw Kuja's weapons kill scores-a people!"
Panzer frowns. "An inexperienced sniper... Only a rookie goes for center mass... An expert goes for head shots, unless it's backwards in their training." She looks at the wound closely, standing on the table that the corpse was on, determining the angle of the shot by squaring off with the corpse.
Panzer: "You wouldn't have seen anything like this." She looks at the round, hopping off the table. She knew a little of Russian ballistics, mostly foundations and secrets of their military, being built near there. Herr Schneider had had a hatred for them.
Metal Man (GM): The shooter was firing from the upper right, diagonally. It does, indeed, show that whoever fired it went for the center.
Panzer analyzes the round for the same radioactive properties, then the wound.
Metal Man (GM): The round is also faintly radioactive, corresponding to the casing. The wound appears to be mostly the bullet going straight through them. Bones and tissue that were effected appear to have been crushed or cracked by sheer force of the impact.
Panzer tried to gauge a caliber for the round. "Hmm. This doesn't tell me too much, though... Where is that note?"
Metal Man (GM): Atypical size round, somewhat in excess of 50mm. The gun which fired it must have been large. SIMBER warps in the note and puts it before Panzer. It's written in that erratic handwriting as shown earlier.
Panzer lifts a brow. "This is unlike any ballistics pattern known to me for a solid shot object. Entry wounds are always smaller than exit wounds, but it is uniform throughout. The only other thing that does that is an energy round, like my plasma rifle, but there is no cauterization.
SIMBER: "Hm..." *Waves a hand over the wound* "That's odd. The wound itself is more radioactive than the bullet. So... this raises the question... Should we pursue whoever made this strange shot instead?"
Panzer lifts a brow. She scans it, being safe from radiation, the shit powers her systems. She scans the half life and compares it with known radioactive elements/compounds.
Metal Man (GM): The half-life is unlike any known ones. At least, any Panzer's system knows. It's also separate from the bullet itself. Half life is about a thousand years. Well, I lied. It's similar to some which exist. But it won't match up exactly, even to those that do... it's something weird.
Panzer hmms. "This could be from another dimension in on itself, you know. This could be something known as an organic radiation, it effects things differently depending on what it's on, and, judging from what it does to organic tissues, this body needs to be gotten rid of now, I can't promise it won't spread and you're all nice and squishy, so it could kill you."
SIMBER: "..."
GF Envoy: "Did I hear somebody mention radiation?"
Metal Man (GM): SIMBER carts off the body quickly. It glows somewhat in the hallway.
Dr. Mario: "Ah, I knew I shouldn't have brought it out of the vault without scanning first. Clumsy me!"
GF Envoy: "If you're still there..."
Metal Man (GM): Aribar appears to have gone off into an elf-like trance after all the forensics stuff.
SIMBER: "I shall scan the body in time, myself. It appears we have something, or somebody, very dangerous."
Metal Man (GM): The GF envoy taps the screen. He can be seen on Ari's dex.
Aribar: "Oh goodie..."
Dragoshi: "Hm?"
Panzer sighs. She wondered how they managed to survive this long, they always seemed to go on first instinct.
Metal Man (GM): The GF operative appears on Dragoshi's dex.
GF Envoy: "Did you hear anything about radiation? It's rather important."
Panzer: "As for targets, I'd reorganize that list, something tells me that we won't find the sniper, he'll find us first. I'll watch as much as possible for him. Giovanni might or might not be doing something, it's hard to hell, and we don't know where is other base is right now." She talks to the Envoy. "Yes. New radiation compound, left by an unknown sniper, along with a note."
GF Envoy: "Radiation compound. A new one." He thinks. "We've been plagued by Space Pirates and an unknown ally utilizing a similarly unknown compound. It has the nasty tendency of annihilating corpses entirely with just three shots."
Dragoshi: *Winces.*
GF Envoy: "If it weren't for our own advanced health technology, the people exposed to the radiation would probably all die of cancer alone. It helps, I guess, that they wear suits. But it has something in common. The pirates don't care about their own lives, so we've seen them handling the compound with no protective gear and suicidally hurling containers of it at people. There are many compounds. Some are stronger than others. They seem to be getting worse, but we have no clue who's making them."
Panzer smiles. Her kind of compound. "Well, the sniper uses an unknown teleportation technique, seems to be a rookie, though. As for the casings, they're against the laws of gravity, basically. They don't seem to mushroom, and they're not traveling fast or slow enough to just not to. Unknown alloy, possibly it doesn't mushroom at all. It depends on our findings and all. Do you have someone available to send here right now? If you want facts, I'll write them down and include pictures and things needed, if you can send someone.
GF Envoy: "Just to identify it? Plenty. We'll be sending that then. If they're in your neck of the woods too, then we have a real reason to send help."
Panzer nods. "Send a robot or reploid if possible, that way, if they're shot and not killed, they won't die of radiation. If they attack at all."
GF Envoy: "A... robot?" He seems a bit concerned. "I wish. The other civilizations have them, but we for some reason insist on sending humans everywhere."
SIMBER: "Yes... the GF is very foolhardy with that..."
Metal Man (GM): *Pictures of Human GF troopers being killed by Ing, possessed by X parasites, shot at by Space Pirates, blown up by Kuja's death ships... etc. etc.*
Panzer rolls her eyes. "Is there a way I could come pick it up, then?... Oh. I forget. You don't know who I am." She laughs. "I'm a reploid, powered by an advanced radiation system, so the radiation might just help me ouf if shot."
SIMBER: "I've never seen so many different ways to waste soldiers."
Dragoshi: "...Wow. That's just... sad."
SIMBER: "Kuja, he had sense, you know. He sent in androids to do the impossible jobs."
Dragoshi: "Well, in any case. I really suggest looking into robots. I mean, that has to make you guys look like somewhat of a laughing stock in some sort of light." >_>;;
GF Envoy: "Yes... well, we'll send a man in, actually. He'll probably be safer. The Questers have held off far worse than we."
Panzer: "Wonderful. When will he be here?"
Metal Man (GM): *WARP* A man in full body armor appears. The Galactic Federation standard stuff. He blinks.
GF Envoy: "Three seconds ago."
SIMBER: "You'd think they could have simply warped the Void away, but nobody ever thought to try it..."
Panzer: "I keep forgetting that no one travels by tank or walking anymore." She closes the link and looks to the man.
GF Scientist: "Hello. I specialize in these... compounds. Don't worry, my suit's re-enforced to protect it. The only problem is that it's incredibly expensive protection, so only people like me have it."
Panzer: *insert creepy Maverick like twitch here*
Dragoshi: "Yea, but he'd prolly' just screw with reality and pop up like some sort of punching clown if someone tried that, SIMBER."
GF Scientist: "Now... the information."
SIMBER: "Here you go."
GF Scientist: "...You people must have a million different little machines..."
Panzer clears her throat, shaking the urge to kill him. >< Damn borderline tendencies. She gives him a chip with the snapped pictures of the sniper's area. "And that."
GF Scientist: *Looks around* "That's the second AI I've seen and I just got here."
Panzer glares. "I'm not an AI."
GF Scientist: "Yes." *He looks over it* "Hm... that's not good at all. This is Blue Phazon. It's actually a partially living substance. Not only does it burn flesh in unrealistic ways, but it corrupts whatever it gets in a symbiotic fashion. This variant is more volatile than usual."
Panzer shrugs. "At least I was right. Organic."
GF Scientist: "What's insane... is that somebody made a gun which fired bullets encased in it. Most organisms would either be corrupted or... die from such an experience."
Panzer nods. "I wish I had a gun like that. I'd fabricate it myself if I knew how... I love what that shit does to humans..." She blinks. "I didn't say that."
GF Scientist: "You're a Quester. Crazy speech is expected."
Panzer: "I prefer the term Hunter, thank you."
GF Scientist: "I was briefed as to all of you before I... came..."
Metal Man (GM): He looks down the hallway. That's odd. The man who was shot is standing there. His wound glows blue. Indeed, it's been filled in.
Panzer turns and lifts a brow. "Reanimation? That wasn't ...Hmm... Stay away from him, lest ye be radiated!"
Metal Man (GM): He carries... ...a gun probably stolen off of another security gun turret.
Dragoshi: "...Don't tell me. The Phazon's managed to make symbiosis with the corpse."
GF Scientist: "Did I mention phazon infiltrates the nerves and muscles of a subject, and if they are dead, will begin to move the corpse around to try to infect others?"
Dragoshi: "No."
GF Scientist: "Quite unlucky you are, it takes days normally."
Dragoshi: "Though, as a sidenote, you should mention that earlier.."
Kamui: *looks at the corpse, giving a shocked look* "That's... scary."
Panzer: "SIMBER, you dumb fuck, I told you to get rid of it. Not store it. Stupidass. Now there's no telling how many people are infected on the way..." She sighs. She lifts her rifle and takes precise aim at the guy's head and fires, hoping to kill it.
GF Scientist: "You guys fight him. Or something. I will devise a reagent to destroy its regenerative powers. Did I mention it can regenerate?"
Dragoshi: "No. You should also mention that earlier. Sheesh."
Metal Man (GM): It holds up a hand. Panzer blows its head clear off.It continues standing. The headless body glows. The pistol turns blue, irradiated.
Panzer grumbles. "SIMBER, scan the base, how many more people have been infected?
SIMBER: "None, Only Dr. Mario was nearby, and he always carries Megavitamins."
Panzer: "And... no body can afford to get shot by that except for me, and SIMBER.
SIMBER: "I'd blow him away with defenses, but I can't get a lock--it's messing with targeting."
Metal Man (GM): Panzer discovers what the shot must have been like, for it fires a bullet at Panzer.
Dragoshi: "..." *And, Dragoshi, while this stuff for happening, starts making that hacking sound he usually does, and spits out a blast of acid at the corpse's firearm*
Metal Man (GM): Panzer is blown across the room, taking a ton of damage in one shot. Luckily, she's not organic. If she was, she'd either be borderline corrupted, or insta-dead. It holds up a hand at Dragoshi. It blocks his shot entirely.
Kamui: *watches on with a still shocked look* "Should... I attack now?"
Metal Man (GM): It has supernatural reflexes.
Panzer goes flying back, despite her armor. She got up and growled. "You guys might want to get the fuck out, that shit will kill you." She mutters, looking at SIMBER.
SIMBER: "If you like not being corrupted."
Dragoshi: "Fine..."
Metal Man (GM): SIMBER keeps one doorway out, sealing off the rest with blast doors.
Dragoshi: *Mutters and spontaneously zooms over to the doorway.*
Panzer: "Get the fuck out kiddos."
Dragoshi: *A little slow there, as Dragoshi's already kinda doing that.*
GF Scientist: "Just a little more! ...Good shot, by the way."
Metal Man (GM): The GF scientist leaps behind an overturned couch, as the irradiated being aims at Kamui. There's only a few seconds before Panzer or SIMBER could save him from being targeted.
Panzer jumps infront of him.
Metal Man (GM): And SIMBER's busy sealing off the exits besides the one the Questers can use... It fires another mega-shot. Panzer takes the hit. This takes another chunk out of Panzer's health. It looks like it's charging up a shot now.
Dragoshi: *Continues running until he is out of there.*
Kamui: *brings his hands around, focusing his chakra energy in his hands he then makes a number of hand signs, then brings his hands around as he tries to use his ice shard jutsu.*
GF Scientist: "You!" *Points at Kamui* "Get out of here! That thing has enough phazon to nuke the entire building!"
Panzer: "Kamui, run you jackass." She tries to blow it's arm off, the one holding the weapon.
Metal Man (GM): Dragoshi is safely out of there.
GF Scientist: "The new form of phazon the sniper used was designed to do this..."
Dragoshi: *He tries to see if he can snipe the corpse from a distance.*
Metal Man (GM): Panzer misses it by a mile. Kamui stabs it with ice shards. Dragoshi would risk hitting Panzer and Kamui if he tried to snipe.
Panzer looks over at Kamui and glares. "Look dumbfuck, get out or you can die. I'm not taking another hit for you."
Metal Man (GM): The thing is momentarily distracted by its charge failing from the hit.
SIMBER: "I'd warp him out, but the radiation.." *Shields his eyes* "Carries enough EMP to knock me out if he gets too close."
Metal Man (GM): Kamui's hit was enough to knock off its charge, but not to divert its attention much. It's charging again.
Panzer looks at SIMBER. "Fuck him. Like you, I can't get very close either. I'd be deactivated. My systems are having issues enough staying fully online."
Metal Man (GM): It seems to be cocky that it can charge in plain shot and still power up enough. A giant radioactive sphere is forming around its hand and gun.
Panzer shoots it four times, moving to blow off each arm at the shoulder, and each leg.
Kamui: *focuses more chakra through his palms, as he fires off another shot of ice shards at the reanimated corpse* "GO DOWN!"
GF Scientist: "Gah! That thing's a whole new kind of nasty!" *Stands further away* "Don't aim too close to that, it'll explode and kill us all! The sphere, that is."
Metal Man (GM): It is hit by Kamui's puny ice shard again. It grunts, mildly inconvenienced. It repulses the shots with its hand. It's focusing on Panzer. But aiming at Kamui... its charge failing again, it continues chagring. This charge is turning red.
GF Scientist: "Just stall it two more times!"
Metal Man (GM): Kamui would begin to feel sick.
Panzer growls and looks at Kamui one more time. "Dude, get the fuck out of here or I will shoot you myself!" She fires again, four more shots.
Metal Man (GM): Even though he's not close enough to be irradiated lethally, this stuff's getting seriously concentrated in this room. Panzer hits.
Kamui: *places a hand to his stomach, he then looks to Panzer* "Mess him up good, Panzer." *With that, he turns and makes a run for it.*
Metal Man (GM): That one actually harms its arm pretty nicely. Not enough damage yet. Kamui finally runs away. It decides Kamui's weak ice shards weren't a real threat. It fires another shot, this time at the GF guy! The death shot takes out the table, the wall, and keeps on going.
Panzer: "Hoooooooooolyyyyyyyy fuuuuuuuccccccckkkkkkk."
Metal Man (GM): It appears the GF have shown the uselessness of humans and radiation yet again, as that shot kills the scientist. However, he dropped something. A glowing red solution. It looks acidic, and is throwable. Mr. Happy Arm of Death is charging up again, walking towards the outside. SIMBER picks up a couch and hurls it at him.
Panzer goes and gets it. <3 Gives it to SIMBER for scanning. "Fuck."
Metal Man (GM): It holds up a hand and incinerates the couch.
Dragoshi: *And, Dragoshi's useless. Fucking perfect.*
SIMBER: "That thing's apparently below my aiming factor. Oh well." *Scans the liquid* "...This, however... hand me your rifle. Quick. Throwing it would waste it."
Metal Man (GM): The GF scientist' corpse is glowing.
Panzer hands over her rifle.
SIMBER: "And I think we won't be limited to this guy if we aren't quick."
Panzer: "Hurry up by let me do the shooting.
Metal Man (GM): He holds the rifle and it glows. It then gains a new set of bullets.
SIMBER: "There you go. It now has Phazon canceling properties. He died making a serum to remove its effects."
Panzer takes it and fires four more rounds.
Metal Man (GM): The insane phazon dude is heading towards Dragoshi and Kamui. The man's back was turned. He gets shot twice. But the Phazon canceling kicks in. He falls to the ground, decidedly no longer re-animated. Still radioactive though. The other corpse is glowing threateningly. Better shoot it a couple times.
Panzer shoots more, four more XD.
Kamui: *looks back at the creature* "Go away you you stalker." *He said calmly, bringing his hands around he uses another set of hand jutsus. He then brings his hand up, and fires off a straight flying fireball at the creature.*
SIMBER: "...That is the last time I let radioactive things into my base."
Metal Man (GM): The corpse gets shot to the extent of no longer being recognizable, or radioactive.
Dragoshi: "...Quite. You shouldn't even let them in in the first place." :/
Metal Man (GM): Kamui takes out the ultra-deaded corpse 1 with fire.
SIMBER: "Hmph..." Samus walks out.
Panzer sighs, falling onto her ass. Her armor in the front is rather crumbled and she looks visibly weakened. "Meeeeeeeeeeh.
Samus: "Phazon? Here?"
Kamui: *looks over to Samus* "... Hi."
Panzer looks at Samus. "Thanks for helping, bitch."
Samus: *Stares at the corpses* "...You're... lucky. Most of the time everyone is dead when I arrive. Then I have to read all their notes and figure out how they died. But by the time I figure it out, some maniac corrupted by it leaps out and tries to kill me."
Panzer just lays on the ground.
Dragoshi: "...Also, as a sidenote. Why the hell do we not have radiation-resistant suits? Is our budget that idiotically bad?"
Metal Man (GM): *BLAM* A bullet arcs by Samus' head, barely missing. It hits the ground uselessly... ...it was another of those bullets!
Panzer: "FUCK! Sniper! GET DOWN!"
Kamui: "..." *looks to the ground, then to the direction where the blast came from.*
Metal Man (GM): Samus leaps out of the way as whoever fired that teleports to another tree.
Panzer starts calculating the trajectory and looks for scope glints, using all the tricks of the trade.
Dragoshi: *Already gets down, because sheesh.*
Panzer: "Get out of here carefully, you get shot and I'll have to kill you."
Metal Man (GM): It appears to be from that same dang tree Panzer saw earlier.
Kamui: *ducks down as well.*
Metal Man (GM): A bullet flies at Kamui.
Panzer returns fire, head shot hopefully.
Metal Man (GM): Somebody with a poor shot, obviously... Kamui gets shot right in the middle with a bullet. Panzer fires and... hears glass breaking.
???: "ARGH!!!!!"
Metal Man (GM): *WARP* Whoever it was is gone now.
Panzer grins and stands. "Through the scope."
Metal Man (GM): But now Kamui is irradiated.
Dragoshi: "...I'll go get the doc."
Panzer looks at Kamui. "SIMBER, any cure for now?"
Kamui: *lands to the ground hard* "..." o_o
SIMBER: "Megavitamins! Stat!"
Metal Man (GM): Dr. Mario runs out.
Panzer: "Dammit. I wanted to shoot him for not listening!"
Dr. Mario: "Mama-mia! My-a home is a war ground again!"
Metal Man (GM): He hits Kamui with a Megavitamin. He is no longer radioactive.
Dragoshi: "...Par for the course, doc?" :/
SIMBER: "...Ballistic tests show it was the same sniper."
Kamui: *stays down on the ground* "That hurt."
SIMBER: "You're lucky we had Megavitamins right nearby."
Panzer lays back down. "Motherfucking sniper. Stay out of this area, where he can shoot you. Now he's pissed at me, though. Rookie bastard. I'll check the area for DNA... I busted his scope pretty good." She laughs.
SIMBER: "The mutagen will corrupt or kill what it hits within 15 minutes."
Dragoshi: "Seriously, though. Why do we not have stuff that is really fucking needed during times like this?"
Panzer goes and pulls the round out of Kamui and tucks it into a compartment.
SIMBER: "Bad luck, yet again.
Samus: "I've never seen enemies who shoot like that. Most of them like to walk in front of me. What is it with the weird enemies in this area?"
Panzer looks at Samus.
Dragoshi: "Has no one ever once had a thought in there head that was like, "Hey, what if someone shoots us with a mutagenic bullet? I mean, sure the odds of that are low, but what t-"..."
Panzer: "Snipers are the elite of the military for a reason, moron."
Kamui: *Hisses in pain as the round is taken out, the pounds his fist in the ground* "..."
Panzer: "One shot, one kill. To kill the enemy without them ever know it was coming."
Metal Man (GM): *BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM* Hm. Whoever it was just shot out a couple of windows.
Dragoshi: "God dammit. Is bad luck the universal excuse for every friggin' time something of this kind of horrible badness happens?"
SIMBER: "That was a different gun. No phazon."
Panzer glares and looks for the sniper again.
SIMBER: "It came from the West."
Kamui: "I can try, and sneak up on them."
SIMBER: "And get hit in the shoulder again?"
Panzer: "Everyone, get down and behind something, I'll handle it. Too many snipers."
Dragoshi: *And, Dragoshi tries to look for Mr. Annoying Sniper from his position as well. While he's still ducked down from the previous round of idiocy.*
Kamui: "You think you can put all your faith in just ONE Quester?"
Metal Man (GM): Panzer and Dragoshi see a man with a broken visor, and a broken rifle attached to his belt. He has a strange machinegun. It was the same sniper. He's reaching for something on his belt. He appears to have teleported so the sun is in everyone's eyes when they look at him a little bit. Because they can't discern what color he is very well...
Panzer glares and dashes to the side, tries a headshot.
Metal Man (GM): *THONK*
???: "Arg---"
Metal Man (GM): KABOOOOM. Panzer made him drop a grenade. Everyone sees a flash, and the Sniper is, apparently, finally gone. All that's left is a flaming crater... and the scope off his other rifle. Panzer shot it clean off.
Kamui: "... Fine." *He looks to the ground, sighing deeply.*
Panzer: "Kamui, I'm ancient and well experienced in my art, kid, I'm your best chance in situations like this. ... Well, there we go. I'll make sure he exploded." She got up weakly, shouldered her rifle, and going to the crater.
Dragoshi: "I'll just stay here and wonder why no one's ever thought ahead and why people use BS like bad luck as an excuse. 'Kay?"
Metal Man (GM): Panzer discovers a giant, flaming crater. ...But the burn of the teleport is there, a much larger burn even. Looks like he warped out at the last minute. The burnt blood shows he wasn't in any further condition to fire at HQ. The second gun he used was most likely a machinegun. The windows and walls which he shot at are pockmarked. It appears there's a lab on the other side, probably Oak's and Dr. Light's. He must have been hoping to take them both out, or at least their experiments, with a grenade.
Panzer growls. At least he couldn't teleport behind her at the last minute and slit her throat, for what good it might do. She collected what she could for evidence and walked back. "Expect him to return. Bastard teleported at the last minute."
Metal Man (GM): Whose pin is laying quite a distance away.
Dragoshi: "Understood."
Metal Man (GM): The pin has a weird irregularly shaped star logo on it, with a weird hockey-stick image on it.
Panzer: "And, from what I saw, he's after the lab for something." She went to the lab, looking around. "Helloooo?"
SIMBER: "Hm... figures this unknown enemy would target our weak point."
Kamui: *remains sitting down, deciding to stay the hell out of the way.*
SIMBER: "I'll investigate further on the issue... The GF Envoy has told me that this attack was much like the one on his men."
Dragoshi: "...Huh."
SIMBER: "They didn't have the common sense you did--more often then not, he wiped out large portions of several groups."
Dragoshi: "How'd it end for them? Utter catastrophe?"
Panzer: "God I came back at a bad time. Dr. Mario, you got anything for reploids?"
Dragoshi: "Yep. Utter catastrophe."
Dr. Mario: "Energy Capsules on the house-a for somebody who saves me-a from being killed by radioactive zombies!"
Metal Man (GM): He hands Panzer a giant energy capsule. Good enough to heal all her wounds from that phazon stuff. SIMBER's busy directing robots and such to clean up the mess.
SIMBER: "The bodies will be eliminated as radioactive waste. As the GF have told me, they will otherwise pose a hazard."
Panzer nods. "Awesome. I'll work on my armor later. Though, I suggest until the base is back up again, everyone stay clear of any large holes in walls or big windows, that sniper is still around."
Panzer takes the capsule and uses it. "Thanks." She shoulders her rifle. "Common sense is free, but it must be used to be effective. I'm not much brighter than them, I just use what common sense I have and preventative measures. They can't snipe through a wall, unless they can see through it."
SIMBER: "Luckily, no evidence exists of that sniper shooting through walls. At least. Walls at things he shouldn't be able to see..."
Kamui: "Unless he has an x-ray scope."
SIMBER: "Good work... that should help us with the next mission."
Metal Man (GM): Mission Completed.
Panzer nods. "He might learn though. Though, I'll have to watch my ass. I'm sure he hates me." She laughs. "SIMBER, contact the GF and tell them the preventative measures that I basically laid out. Reaction time must be quick or chaos works through the masses." x.x
SIMBER: "Indeed. I also sent them a copy of the formula for the solution that now dead man made. They have agreed to aid us in the future."
Panzer: "And, next time I tell you to get rid of something, please do so?"
Dragoshi: "Also." *Dragoshi says from his current position* "As soon as possible, I damn well want to see radiation-retardant suits for each organic Quester, myself included, sometime in the near future. And I don't want to hear any crap about why it hasn't been done yet after this... Day. Week. Whatever." *Dragoshi gets up, and would get out from his spot, making sure not to be near any holes in the walls and windows... Just in case.*
SIMBER: "...You won't have to ask twice. Considering how much damage that thing did. Radiation-blocking suits? That man was wearing the best one known, and he died."
Dragoshi: "Yes, but some sort of minor protection would help in the least, yanno?"
SIMBER: "Samus... Samus???" *Looks around* "That jerk. She has one which can block it, but she's sort of a ditz. Plus it's integrated into her body or something. I think it may damage her brain."
Kamui: It'd be funny if she heard you say that."
Panzer: "And tell them to get some robots or reploids. We can't be hurt by it. As far as I know, it can't corrupt me."
SIMBER: "You never know--she keeps walking into volcanoes, reactors, and areas with men like this sniper. Phazon can corrupt machines--but they have to be rendered offline first. And it's much slower. So... unlikely to happen with you. As the examples I have are of machines being dormant for years."
Panzer: "I see. Scan my core would you? And all files, just in case. He said it was more potent than the other. I don't like being controlled by stuff."
SIMBER: "Scanned. No phazon contamination. Phazon has to know about what it corrupts. Reploids do not exist in its home realm. Your natural systems alone probably block it out good enough..."
Panzer: "Awesome. Wonderful. Kthx. Well, I'll try to keep it from knowing about me."
SIMBER: "Yes. Avoid letting any phazon organization which hits you from living."
Kamui: "Yeah, it seems I'm still rusty."
SIMBER: "That's how they learn. Luckily, the ultra-sniper shot Kamui, so he learned nothing..."
Panzer: "I figured."
Kamui: -_- "Oh yes, I feel so lucky."
SIMBER: "Odd, though, he demonstrated knowledge of the area. Security must be lax, he or Team Rocket must have found out where those labs were from scouting."
Panzer: "Well, we told you to get the fuck down.":
Dragoshi: "Gah... Now if only I had something similar to my old machinegun on a smaller scale, so I could help shoot them down with those rounds..."
SIMBER: "Because those windows are tinted. When they're not full of holes."
Panzer shrugs. "Don't look at me. I'm the best security improvement you've got right now but I can't do everything on my own. You people need to step it up some. I won't be around forever. I'm getting old."
Kamui: Whatever, you wanna do everything by yourself...? *He stands to his feet slowly* You go ahead and do that. *He turns and walks off.*
SIMBER: "Everyone has their niche, Kamui."
Panzer raises her rifle, leveling it with Kamui's head. "Keep smarting off. I jumped in front of you and kept you alive, smartass."
SIMBER: "Perhaps you'll get your chance next mission--we've covered the area around here, now... unless we're looking for that secret base, your destroying things may come in handy. Plus..."
Dragoshi: "...Hm?"
Metal Man (GM): He shows video of ice particles annoying the zombie.
SIMBER: "If he hadn't hit that thing three or so times, it'd have probably killed Panzer. It had enough energy to take out the room. Nobody could afford to miss even once."
Panzer keeps the weapon level with his head anyway.
SIMBER: "Even with that, it managed to one-shot that scientist... figures."
Kamui: *turns around, looking to Panzer* "... You're not scaring me."
Panzer shrugs. "SIMBER, can I blow off his head?"
SIMBER: "Only during a mission. Otherwise it costs money, because we're obligated to keep Questers in the same shape they are after each mission. And with an excuse, of course--Locos was a Quester killer."
Panzer grumbles and shoulders the rifle.
SIMBER: "He's ultra-dead now."
Dragoshi: "Ultra dead to the fifteenth extreme."
SIMBER: "I think he struck out when he challenged an extra-dimensional being of nothingness to a duel."
Kamui: *tilts his head to Panzer's movement* "Thank you for saving me by the way, Panzer."
Panzer nods. "Welcome, just listen to me a little better. I'm old, I think I've seen enough shit in my day. Especially running around with RepliForce."
SIMBER: "Now... to repair this mess." *Slowly begins patching the walls.*
Dragoshi: "Gah... Regardless. Can I at least help with it?"
SIMBER: "I swear, I should leave this destroyed. Maybe people will find somewhere else to use as a shooting gallery."
Dragoshi: "Or maybe they'll just keep reducing this place into cosmic dust."
