Super Smash Quest - Story - Chapter 479: Electric Book Boogaloo
Date: November 24th, 2007.
Metal Man (GM): The Questers are at HQ just as usual. A number of interesting things are up: Deloth's book glows oddly.
Dragoshi: *And, Dragoshi is practicing his swordplay. Whee.*
Metal Man (GM): There's a signup sheet at the Stadium for an upcoming tournament. And Metal Man is scanning that ancient disk yet some more, in R&R. In the same spot, eons ago, Locos would be looking for the 'Dark Temple', if it was just like the old Stadium. Snake is also overseeing shipments of weapons into a new shop being built.
Aribar just finished signing up for the tourney and is now reading a book in the R&R.
Deloth: "What the..."
Dragoshi: *Dragoshi would then put away his sword after he was done practicing, and go to sign up for that thar tourney.*
Deloth holds up the now-glowing book, kinda hoping it doesn't blow up in his face...
Deloth: *...Well, since it didn't explode, he looks at it closely.*
Digifanatic: *Unlike previously, he's not talking to others on odd events that happened during previous stints or whatnot... But... he sees the signup sheet and looks at it.*
Metal Man (GM): The book of Deloth's stops glowing, instead causing a strange bracelet with an image of one flame to appear on his hand. *Zelda Get Noise* Deloth learned Fira from the book. It behaves as a weapon. To use any other weapon, he must un-equip the bracelet. While the bracelet is on, he has Fira. The bookmark then changes, saying he might as well return the book, as he has exhausted the teachings of Elemental Fire Magic, Volume I. Signup sheet: QUESTERS ONLY is marked on it. In big, red font.
Dragoshi: *Is signing up, then. >_>*
Deloth closes that book and starts studying Fire Elementals, then.
Metal Man (GM): Dragoshi is signed up.
Digifanatic: .oO(Dang, I should tell the others!) *opens Dex and rings up as many as he can* "Folks, come over here! They're setting up something special for us! I'm over by the Stadium grounds!"
Dragoshi: *To Digi via Dex* "Already know. Already signed up."
Digifanatic: "Cool." *hangs up and waits for others... signs up while he's at it*
Deloth: *opening his Dex* "Not right now, Digi. I'm studying this."
Deloth slams his Dex shut and goes back to reading.
Digifanatic: .oO(Dang, should have asked if I could put his name down for him.)
Aribar answers his dex..* "The tourney? Yeah, I've signed up as well."
Metal Man (GM): So that's Aribar, Digi, Dragoshi all signed up for the tourney so far.
Digifanatic: *opens back up* "Alright... well, hopefully, there will be more..." .oO(Hmm...)
Metal Man (GM): Mewtwo floats in, looking at the tourney sign.
Mewtwo: "Well, I did JUST put that note up. I'm surprised so many have signed up already!"
Digifanatic: "Hello, Mewtwo, how's it going? It's been a while. You probably have no idea."
Mewtwo: "Things have been fine ever since Metal Man was back in power. Despite the fact he likes to borrow my power, he decided to give me control of tournament making. Something about 'Letting Questers or himself do it would just be SSS all over again...'"
Deloth: "Hrm..."
Mewtwo: "He also gave Snake something to do. He's setting up a weapon shop as I think."
Digifanatic: "Heh... well, I hope nothing stupid happens this time. Like Metal Sonic or--yeah, I think it was him--crashing the party."
Mewtwo: "If anybody does anything stupid, I will personally erase their memories."
Deloth opens his Dex again and rings Digi. "Mind signing me up? I'd do it myself, but... uh, something really interesting just happened with this book I was studying."
Dragoshi: "Yea. Metal Sonic did crash that party."
Mewtwo: "No more Bowsers or Ganondorfs--you did a good job with Bowser, by the way."
Digifanatic: "Oh, no problem." *to Mewtwo* "Deloth's in."
Dragoshi: "I think he snapped Julian's neck too. Then yelled about being king of the arena or somesuch."
Mewtwo: "Okay." *He thinks a bit, probably reading Deloth's mind, then adds his name to the list.* "Metal Sonic is a famous liar. He dates to the crazy days of the arena... think professional wrestling."
Digifanatic: "Yeeeeah..."
Mewtwo: "Also, for some reason Deloth is thinking about setting things on fire. Makes me feel hot just reading his mind. All the fire..."
Aribar hrms, losing concentration on his book and beginning to wonder how he'll fight his fellow Questers...
Digifanatic: "Well, he did borrow that book from that library."
Mewtwo: "Hmmm." He thinks again. "A... library in the middle of nowhere?"
Metal Man (GM): He thinks again.
Deloth: "Gee, I wonder if I can practice this new attack on that lamp over there..."
Dragoshi: "Yep."
Mewtwo: "Yes... Kuja's realm. I have... an idea."
Digifanatic: "That sounds right."
Dragoshi: "What's your idea, if I may ask?"
Mewtwo: "Snake only carries... er... weapons that are normal. Guns, swords... some loud person told him to stock guitars... but nothing else."
Digifanatic: "Alex..."
Mewtwo: "This library has, on the other hand, a nearly limitless catalog of magical items."
Digifanatic: *nods and lets out a small chuckle.*
Mewtwo: "Which, for a small fee, could be leased out to Questers so they could learn the magic secrets within, and use them as magical weapons."
Dragoshi: "Interesting."
Mewtwo: "I shall talk to Oak about making the moves usable in this way too. Perhaps a badge to allow dual-wielding too?"
Aribar glances up at the mention of Magic...
Dragoshi: "Yes... That would be useful. Very useful."
Mewtwo: "You can never have enough weapons and magic in this crazy world."
Digifanatic: "Mewtwo, you remember Scott, right? Well, if you do, then Alex's request shouldn't be that much of a surprise."
Mewtwo: "Yes. In fact, Snake refused until we unearthed several shipments of guitars in the ruins of the old Stadium. Just so happened Side Quest ordered them before breaking up. It was... convenient, as the prospect of Snake in a guitar store is... not good."
Dragoshi: "...I could imagine that."
Digifanatic: "Well, we never really broke up, so to say... it's just not easy to be in a band without a drummer. Like a hiatus, if you will."
Mewtwo: *thinks* "But it's been five years, and every drummer you recruited vanished..."
Dragoshi: "...What the hell are we, Spinal Tap?"
Mewtwo: "Apparently."
Dragoshi: "Ugh..."
Mewtwo: "... ..." He backs away. "Don't recruit me to be your drummer either. I like living."
Digifanatic: "Oh, no, no, no, no..."
Mewtwo: "We still haven't figured out where Gibby went."
Dragoshi: "...No. I think Garrick's still alive. And Gibby just apparently likes to disappear and reappear for no reason. Maybe he's in button land."
Metal Man (GM): Somewhere far, far away. *Gibby has a sword and is fighting demons in some strange kingdom.*
Gibby: "I wish I knew where the Questers were. I'm on the verge of defeating that lord who--"
Demon: "Ha ha! Take that, Gobbu!"
Gibby: "...DIE!"
Metal Man (GM): Back at HQ.
Digifanatic: "Well, there are some ways we could go around this. First, one of us could just do a solo spot or two... second, we could just figure out how to base ideas without a drummer backing up--there'll just be a spot missing. Or... give me a minute or two and I'll be right back. I mean, we don't have to do any of these, and I'm perfectly content if we can't, but... anyways."
Mewtwo: *Thinks* "You know best how to do the band thing, so I won't interfere. I'll just write a copy of the list here for my own reference and check back later. And... if you want to help with the library thing..." *He chuckles* "Just ask Professor Oak, he's in his lab."
Digifanatic walks away from the two for the time and heads up to his room. In a couple of minutes, he returns with one of his keyboards and a stand. He sets it down as appropriate and turns his keyboard on...
Metal Man (GM): Mewtwo then teleports out suddenly.
Digifanatic: "Alright, Dragoshi. Even if we don't get a spot in doing this, this might work." *presses a few buttons on his keyboard to change its voice* "Here we go."
Dragoshi: "...'K."
Metal Man (GM): Captain Falcon struts into the arena. He sees the sign.
Digifanatic: *aside to Drag* "Hold that for a bit..." *to Falcon* "Yes?"
Captain Falcon: "Whaaat? No Falcon in the big tournament? This sucks! Almost as much as the time when Skyhigh opened the door to my locker room!"
Dragoshi: "...Right." >_>;;
Aribar hrms while getting up to gather his mission things...
Captain Falcon: "I've been refining my killer punches and kicks just for a tournament like this... oh well. I can always do some commercials for some quick money."
Digifanatic: "Ah yes..."
Metal Man (GM): He gets into a weird pose, looking at a camera none of you see. (The 4th wall!)
Dragoshi: "..." *Moseys on along over to the library.*
Digifanatic: *follows Dragoshi, holding his stuff at his side.*
Captain Falcon: "Remember kids, don't drink and kill people with metaphysical super attacks! It's totally uncool!"
Metal Man (GM): Kuja's library. At least, the one in his realm.
Aribar heads on up to Deloth's room and knocks on the door.
Metal Man (GM): *Fadeout on Falcon as the others go to Deloth/stuff.* Meanwhile, the others get ready for mission stuff. Deloth's door is locked solid, but it makes an annoying rattling noise when knocked on.
Deloth: *without looking up* "C'mon in."
Digifanatic just shrugs and just heads back to his room, putting everything away.*
Metal Man (GM): The door unlocks and opens for Aribar. SIMBER must be at work, ensuring things are nice and automated.
Digifanatic: .oO(Eh, again, it's not important we get a slot, but who knows.)
Metal Man (GM): Digi can see out the window. Two guys are talking down below. Hm. Star Fox and Kirby. Can't hear them well from up here.
Digifanatic: *sets his stuff aside in his room... holds on for a bit, looking for facial reactions first.*
Aribar: *Enters Deloth's room.*
Metal Man (GM): They appear to be mostly neutral. Digi hears words like "team up" and "after this tournament is over."
Aribar: "Hey, I've heard a few things about some magical books and libraries..."
Metal Man (GM): Kirby communicates using a very convenient blackboard, which is about as visible as Star Fox's speech is audible. He doesn't have very good handwriting.
Deloth: "Yep. I've got three right here."
Digifanatic: .oO(Hmm... sounds like there'll be another tournament afterwards.)
Deloth: "Is the warp open to the library? I need to return one of these, anyways."
Aribar: "Ooh... Three books? Er, umm... I believe we'll be going there shortly."
Deloth: "Cool." *slaps the Fire Elementals book shut and stands up.* "Maybe I can learn something a little more advanced than Fira when I head back."
Metal Man (GM): SIMBER appears besides Digi, surprising him.
SIMBER: "Hello, Digi."
Digifanatic: "Oh, hi. So, I presume the Brawlers will have a tournament of their own?"
SIMBER: "There will be a tournament, a tag team tournament, after this one. It will be Smasher only--Mewtwo said it would only be fair."
Digifanatic: "Oh, cool."
SIMBER: "However, you will be able to bet on who wins each round."
Digifanatic: "I'd love to do some sort of work for that. You know me... hmm. Not much of a gambler, but that sounds interesting."
SIMBER: "And I've heard rumors of another Smasher-Quester tourney, which will involve the best of each tournament, head-to-head."
Digifanatic: "Ah, best of the best. I like it."
SIMBER: "Also, the light bulb in that lamp over there will die in 23.516 days."
Aribar: "In any case, I think we'll be leaving there soon to collect some more books, or something like that. Unfortunately, I was only half-listening."
SIMBER: "Just so you know."
Metal Man (GM): He fades out.
Digifanatic: "And what if I conserve electricity and decide to--never mind."
Deloth: *First, he goes to Snake.*
Aribar goes to win the lottery... Err... Head to President Oak.
Deloth: *--Fira's nice, but it can't beat a good sword.*
Metal Man (GM): Deloth reaches Snake's little shop. Guns of all kinds are on the wall. He's setting it up very slowly, and carefully. He looks to Deloth and suddenly leaps behind the counter.
Dragoshi: *Feels like checking up on old biodome-head to see how well he's stewing in his own muck.*
Snake: "Uhh... hello! Would you like to partake of one of my very, very professional weapons? Like... a gun?"
Metal Man (GM): Grodus is inside the jail, hanging upside-down and with a poorly patched head-dome. He narrows his eyes and stares at Dragoshi.
Aribar takes a detour to head to the item store and buy three Mushrooms before continuing to Oak.*
Grodus: "I predicted you would come here... what do you want with me?"
Metal Man (GM): Aribar encounters Wario, sellin' the shrooms.
Wario: "What-a you want, Aribar? I've got the current items all on sale right here."
Aribar: "Greetings, Wario... Just three regular mushrooms, please. ... That is to say, the healing regular kind, not a poisoned kind or some picked up off of some forest floor."
Wario: "That'll be..." He gets out a shiny calculator and types some. "15 coins. Although we have plenty of those other ones you mentioned!"
Aribar gets out a big sack of coins, pulls out fifteen, and tosses them over to Wario... All with one hand!* "Those won't be necessary... Today."
Dragoshi: "Heh... Just wanted to see how you were doing is all. Like the dome. Though... I preferred it when it was busted open." *Chuckles a little darkly* "Regardless. I have more... important matters to get to. Have fun stewing in your muck." *Walks away from the place and over to the item store. Whee.*
Wario: "Okay, whateva you say." He stuffs the coins into the cash register and gives Aribar 3 individually wrapped mushrooms.
Aribar looks the Mushrooms over to make sure they aren't Wario's attempt at a scam before thanking the gentlemanly vagabond and heading on his way.
Grodus: *Stares at the back of Dragoshi's head* "You do know, that your group will be fractured in the future... but I shall not tell you why. You appear to simply want to taunt me. Oh well."
Metal Man (GM): The Mushrooms are all in pristine shape, and not evil. But you wish you had G&W back regardless, as he never sold anything questionable, ever. Dragoshi enters the item store just as Aribar leaves it.
Wario: "Good business today, eh?" He looks at Dragoshi. "What'll it be today, eh?"
Metal Man (GM): Aribar walks down the hallway to Oak's lab, noticing the various pictures along the way. Old Questers... including himself. Dragoshi: The prison is within shouting distance.
Digifanatic: .oO(Hmm... Kirby and Fox would be an interesting team. Mario and Sonic? Nah... Peach and Zelda? That's possible. Hmm... who would be an interesting partner for Snake? Ah, knowing him, he might fight on his own...)
Metal Man (GM): Many paintings feature dead and gone Questers. An interesting one is named 'The Fall of Locos Docos'.
Aribar slows down and looks over all of the portraits, thinking of the past...
Metal Man (GM): It is a stained glass variant, showing Locos drinking Mega Mack, surrounded by Yurie, Metal, Smithy, and Aribar. Another one shows 'The Con of Kuja' It shows a distorted, demonic picture of Kuja's official 'World ruler' painting over a burning Nintendus. Another one to the left. "The original 5." It shows the original five. All are grayed out but Panzer. Panzer's right claw almost seems to come out of the painting.
Dragoshi: "Please wait a second." *Shouts back over to the prison* "I see! Interesting... Though, I shall take your words with a grain of salt. Even with your foresight... Some things may be subject to changes." *Back to Wario* "Hmm... You have other, more potent healing items than mushrooms, right?"
Aribar keeps his spine angled away from the claw...
Wario: "More potent? That's a good question."
Metal Man (GM): He takes out a Megavitamin, in one hand, and Heart Container in another.
Wario: "Heal special ailments here, and with this heart, you can heal all your HP. If you like expensive things.." He takes out a Phoenix feather. "This can revive the dead... or kill the undead. Take your pick."
Metal Man (GM): He takes out a mystery bag.
Wario: "Odds are, you'll get one of those three or so if you get one of these... but this is pricey too."
Dragoshi: "I see... Interesting. Sadly, I probably don't have enough for the feather... Though, I am interested in the hearts. How much would it cost for two of them?"
Wario: "I get the same pay either way. Thirty-five coins is da cost for you."
Metal Man (GM): One final painting. Aribar sees one of the Questers reuniting after so long as the Brawl Questers, and for some strange reason, it shows Master Hand backing off and away, and Wolfman acting like a statue.
Aribar hrms, looking at this last painting.* "Truly captures what happened..."
Metal Man (GM): Aribar reaches Oak's lab.
Dragoshi: "Fair enough. After all, that does sound like a fair price for something as potent as those." *Pulls out a somewhat large bag of coins, and pours out 34 of them out of the bag and into his own hand, and plops them down on the counter* "Here ya go."
Kamui: *is in the hall way, making his way off for Oak's lab.*
Wario: "Thirty-four?" *Checks* "Whoops. Okay-dokey." *He takes the coins and gives Dragoshi two big Heart Containers.*
Metal Man (GM): Oak is in his lab, working on another weird box.
Oak: "If only I had more Electrodes... then I could just weld this weird material onto it instead of using super glue."
Kamui: *looks over to Oak, raising an eyebrow. He walks off over to Oak, tilting his head to the side* "Hello Oak."
Aribar: "Greetings, Oak." *Takes a quick look around the lab for a place to dive behind in case of explosions or mad scientist mutant escapees.*
Dragoshi: *Takes them, and puts them away in the confines of his cloak* "Thank you." *He would then head off to wherever Oak is.*
Metal Man (GM): Deloth is currently flickering in and out of reality in front of Snake's shop.
Snake: "You okay there, Deloth? You keep vanishing."
Deloth blinks a bit. "Sorry, my molecules must be shifting out of phase. Stupid candy bars."
Oak: "Huh?" *He turns around* "Oh... what's up, Questers?"
Deloth: "Anyways, I need a new sword. My old one sorta disintegrated."
Metal Man (GM): Aribar would see there's a nice emergency exit if he needs to run from Oak's lab.
Kamui: *shrugs his shoulders* "Bored, decided to visit."
Snake: "Swords? Swords are lame. Don't you want guns?" He puts a giant grenade launcher, almost too big for Deloth to hold, on the counter. "Only three hundred coins!"
Deloth: "I want a sword. A wakizashi, specifically. Grenade launchers aren't my style."
Oak: "I... see... I'm making the new item combiner. It's a bit hard, though... without the weird technology of yesteryear, I have to do it from scratch."
Snake: "Wakiza what?" *He looks confused* "I only have one sword, and it looks like this."
Metal Man (GM): He takes out a basic longsword. It's covered in a sheet of dust.
Digifanatic: *still in his room...* .oO(Well, not much to do, I'll just head down to R&R for now.)
Kamui: "Sounds like that's gonna take you a while. What did I hear about you saying "electrodes"?"
Digifanatic does so, leaving everything he doesn't need there.
Oak: "Electrodes. Everyone knows what they are."
Metal Man (GM): Two giant steel orbs with eyes appear behind Oak.
Deloth: "...How much?"
Aribar: "Exploding electric demons..."
Snake: "You want it? The lame sword? Ok, fine. That'll be only 80 coins."
Kamui: *looks to Aribar, raising an eyebrow* "So something volatile?"
Deloth: "...Never mind."
Snake: "But..." He looks at the bracelet. "You can only use one at a time, OK? Too expensive?" He chuckles. "Weapons are quite the money sink."
Orb: "Electrode!"
Aribar: "Yup." *takes a few more steps towards the emergency area of existing.*
Orb: "Electrode!!!"
Oak: "So... did you want to see my Electrodes, or did you want something else?"
Kamui: "I'm simply bored, seeing what's up." *He looks towards the orbs. He begins backing away* "Um, Oak?"
Digifanatic: *Flips on the television.*
Metal Man (GM): On the television: 'Revenge of the Goombas' It shows Toad Town being burned down by... 16 Goombas. 16, strangely powerful Goombas.
Aribar: "We're supposedly going to head to a library filled with magical books... But no one else is really here yet."
Digifanatic: .oO(Oh, this sounds ent--oh, what?! Is this a movie?!)
Metal Man (GM): It's in black in white and has orchestral music.
Digifanatic: "Heh... I never had any idea these folks liked their silent movies."
Oak: "Ah! That. Mewtwo burned something about it into my mind about that."
Metal Man (GM): He takes out a note.
Oak: "Let's see... to get there, you must bring also the books you... took out of there... so the library will let you in again, as the first time was... ...a fluke. Yeah. I have the warp on for you." *He flips a switch, then he and the Electrodes continue working on the new item.*
Digifanatic: "Or maybe just Bowser likes them... then again, they probably wouldn't air Bowser stuff with all of the current animosity towards him."
Metal Man (GM): The movie about the Goomba then shows some embarrassingly exaggerated Questers.
???: "Razorx! Save us from the Ultra-Goombas!"
Razorx: "Never fear! I have my omni-deathray!"
Kamui: *Seeing the electrodes weren't exploding and going boom-tastic, he looks around and blinks* "Um..."
Metal Man (GM): *BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM.* The Goombas in the film are set on fire. But... A new enemy appears! It is... a mustached man... in a floating ship device!
???: "Stop right there, Razorx! I am Dr. Elian Botnik Wily!"
Metal Man (GM): He takes out a shoe with a giant smiley face on one end, and a rocket on the other.
Razorx: "Not so fast, crazy man!"
Metal Man (GM): Razorx and Elian attack one another. The shoe collides into the death ray, blowing up a large crater. The mad scientist is now out of weapons.
Dr. Elian Botnik Wily: "Avast! I am crushed! Except... I have this!"
Metal Man (GM): He takes out... ... a giant nerf ball.
Razorx: "GASP! It is the unholy nerf ball! You'll destroy us all! Don't use it!"
Dr. Elian Botnik Wily: "Never! I must not listen to common sense!"
Kamui: "Well, anyway good luck on that, Oak." *he waves, then turns walking off down the hall.*
Metal Man (GM): He chucks it, causing a gigantic explosion. However, Razorx somehow survives... ...due to leaping about 100 feet into the air moments before it'd hit him. The movie continues on and on like that. The next part of it involves somebody named "Dr. Elian Botnik Wily The Second", who attacks with rubber mallets and ice cream buckets.
Digifanatic: *laughing* .oO(They have it SOOOOOOOOO wrong.)
Kamui: *walks over to Snake's general area. He then walks over to Snake and speaks up* "Hey Snake."
Digifanatic: *changes the channel and puts on a sports network.*
Aribar: *Goes to the Room Warp.*
Toad News Announcer: "And John makes the pass... he's nearly to the goal..."
Metal Man (GM): It shows a Toad carrying a football to a goal.
Dragoshi: *Also goes to the Warp Room. Wheeeeee.*
Toad News Announcer: "Oh no! A Bob-omb has wandered onto the field!"
Metal Man (GM): *BOOOM.*
Digifanatic: "WHAT?! Where's the flag!?" .oO(I call shenanigans.)
Toad News Announcer: "The refs have ruled it as interference! A new, non-exploded Toad will take his place and continue where they left off."
Metal Man (GM): Dragoshi is at the warp room, and so is Aribar.
Snake: "Hello, Quester. Want a weapon?"
Deloth raps his knuckles against the wall as he heads to the warp room, just to make sure he's not drifting between dimensions...
Toad News Announcer: "The new Toad has the football... OOOH! He just barely failed to reach it... an expert tackle from Koopa U."
Digifanatic: "Thank goodness... but they need better security."
Toad News Announcer: "And now it is time for half time."
Metal Man (GM): *Commercials come on.*
Announcer: "Want to be cool, unstoppable, and eat three ice cream cones a week?"
Digifanatic: "They could have just gone for the field goal..."
Kamui: *Nods his head* "Yes, do you have anything lightweight and silent?"
Announcer: "Drink Saturn Beer! The only beer endorsed by the Mr. Saturn football team!"
Snake: "Let's see... silenced pistol... silenced pistol... yes. Silenced pistol, or a silenced machinegun. They cost a bit, though."
Digifanatic: "Heh... Alex would love that."
Deloth: "Guys, am I all here? Am I phasing in and out of the dimension or something?"
Kamui: *Nods his head* "How much we talking?"
Metal Man (GM): Aribar and Dragoshi see Deloth. He looks a little bit invisible.
Digifanatic: .oO('TaStE mOrE, bOiNg!)
Snake: "100 for the pistol, 350 for the machinegun. Pricey devils."
Dragoshi: "Somewhat."
Digifanatic: .oO('No! LeSs FiLl, BoInG!')
Metal Man (GM): Another commercial comes on the TV.
Aribar: "Depends on your meaning of 'phasing in and out of the dimension'..."
Deloth: "Hmm..."
Announcer: "Hey, you! Sitting on the couch!"
Digifanatic: "Yes?"
Deloth tries to push his hand through a wall as a test.
Announcer: "You lazy person! Who sits around and ignores school!"
Aribar pokes Del.
Kamui: *nods his head, blinking a few times* "Lemme take a look at the pistol."
Announcer: "Go to Coin University Today!"
Digifanatic: .oO(Oh. Phew...)
Announcer: "Learn how to play poker, pool, and clean garbage cans! All for the low price of 9999.99 a semester!"
Digifanatic: "Heh... folks these days."
Snake: "Take a look, then." He hands Kamui a safety-locked silenced pistol.
Digifanatic: .oO(Hmm... Mario and I should host something sometime.)
Metal Man (GM): It's light, it's comfortable, and it has decent accuracy, but not very special. Another commercial comes on the TV.
Announcer: "Has this ever happened to you?"
Metal Man (GM): It shows a woman drinking tea in a kitchen. Then, suddenly...
Kamui: *takes the pistol, looking it over carefully. He brings it around, aiming it slanted to where his eye could see through the sight pointing at the ground* "How many rounds?"
Metal Man (GM): A pirate and a ninja leap out of the refrigerator of the woman and begin fighting on her table!
Digifanatic: *laughing near-maniacally.*
Woman: "Ahhhhhh!!!"
Pirate: "Arrrrr!!!"
Ninja: "Hi-yahhhh!!!!"
Announcer: "If this is you, then call Smorkin: The only licensed Pirate AND Ninja exterminator! We deal with tough infestations!"
Metal Man (GM): They show somebody going into an attic.
Digifanatic: "Uh oh..."
Deloth: "So this warp goes to the library, right?"
Metal Man (GM): They open a chest, and suddenly pirates leap out of the eaves and attack them!
Digifanatic: "What's next? Jigglypuff performs the halftime show?"
Announcer: "So remember, when pirates and Ninjas leap out of your refrigerators and attack you, call us!"
Aribar: "If Oak isn't an agent of evil or used numerous electric pokemon in setting up this warp, yes."
Metal Man (GM): Digi's dex beeps. Somebody activated the warp out.
Digifanatic: *opens Dex.*
Snake: "Eight rounds, standard."
Kamui: *nods his head, spinning it around once on his finger, then clutches it lightly in his hands* "... Good feel... I'll take it."
Snake: "Okay... just give me the 100 coins, and we're set."
Digifanatic: "Kuja's library... huh. Must be Deloth."
Deloth: "Alright, it's open!" *rushes into the warp.*
Dragoshi: *Follows.*
Digifanatic: "Thanks but no thanks." *closes Dex.*
Kamui: *reaches inside his pocket, taking out a number of coins. Placing them on the counter, he counts them quickly, then removes his hand as soon as he had counted 100.*
Aribar steps into the warp room. To infinity divided by 0 and beyond!
Digifanatic: "Hmm..."
Metal Man (GM): Snake takes the 100 coins, then unlocks the gun and gives it to Kamui.
Digifanatic heads over to Metal's office...
Metal Man (GM): Digi would find Metal's office empty.
Kamui: "Do you add the gun or do I?"
Metal Man (GM): It says 'Gone researchin' in R&R" on the door.
Digifanatic: "Dang, oh... then why couldn't I find him? Must have been ignorant, or he's pretty quiet."
Digifanatic walks back to R&R, temporarily shuts off the TV and walks over to Metal.
Metal Man (GM): Metal looks to Digi, he's scanning the disc.
Metal Man: "Hi Digi. What's on your mind?"
Digifanatic: "Have any idea where Dr. Carrol is?"
Metal Man: "Oh, yeah. Sector 3 Beta 4. I mean downstairs."
Digifanatic: "Heh, alright."
Metal Man (GM): He points to stairs going to the basement.
Kamui: *looks at the gun, spinning it once again on his finger, before looking over to Snake* "Hey, what about a holster?"
Digifanatic: *heads there to talk to the Doc.*
Snake: "Holsters are additional... 10 coins."
Metal Man (GM): Digi reaches Dr. Carrol, who is at a computer of his own.
Kamui: *blinks, then nods his head* Alright. *he takes out his last 10 coins, placing it on the counter.*
Dr. Carrol: "Hello, Quester. How is it going?"
Metal Man (GM): Snake gives Kamui a stylish leather holster... though it doesn't do anything special.
Digifanatic: "I'm doing alright, but I just have a few questions to ask you. Since you've worked at Area 51 and such, you may be attuned to this."
Dr. Carrol: "Ask then, what you want."
Digifanatic: "First of all, when all of that strange warping and such happened and you wound up on Earth, what year was it?"
Kamui: *takes the holster, placing it at his hip as he places the gun away. At least he didn't have to carry it around in his hand all the time. He looks to Snake, nodding his head* "Good doing business with ya, Snake." *he turns, walking off.*
Digifanatic: "On Earth... that can also include the date when we went over there."
Dr. Carrol: "2012."
Digifanatic: "Hmm... you may be on to something."
Dr. Carrol: "And that is?"
Digifanatic: "Were you ever asked to investigate cases or encounter strange alien-like beings that, say, sometimes invaded cities?"
Dr. Carrol: "Cities, no. Research facilities, corrupt corporations, and corrupt branches of the government, yes."
Digifanatic: "Not necessarily in the United States."
Dr. Carrol: "I was originally a machine made by the very corporation aliens corrupted. It was entirely inside the United States, I'm afraid."
Kamui: *walks over back to Snake* "Oh, that's right... five coins." *he reaches inside his pocket, looking around. He gives a raised eyebrow, then sighs as he looks to Snake* "I don't suppose you can take an IOU."
Snake: "Sure... just don't stiff me or..." He smirks and leans against a cardboard box.
Kamui: "You can count on me. Later." *Walks to the warp room.*
Snake: "Later."
Dr. Carrol: "IS there any importance to this?"
Digifanatic: "Right. I was just wondering about some of the work ever since you left the machine state. Not really. I was just wondering what other cases you handled were before you encountered us."
Dr. Carrol: "The unusual warping of dimensions that occurred after I made the mistake I did in my free time. I was, really, a prisoner."
Digifanatic: "Ah."
Dr. Carrol: "Even then, what I've found here indicates just how little I knew then. Speaking of that, there is a large dimensional disturbance like the one when you entered my realm. Aren't your friends waiting on you?"
Digifanatic: "I don't know. They're all over the place, I think. I haven't been receiving any important messages, so..."
SIMBER: *Appears again* "They are at the warp room, waiting for you, Digi."
Digifanatic: "Oh... I thought it was nothing major."
SIMBER: "Dr. Carrol simply accessed my data."
Digifanatic: "I apologize." *heads to the warp room.*
Dr. Carrol: "Good luck on your mission."
Digifanatic: "Thanks."
Metal Man (GM): He moves to his own work, and FINALLY the Questers are at the warp room.
Digifanatic: "I'm very sorry. I thought all that was going on was Deloth returning his book. And that the library was an option for me to spend some time with."
Metal Man (GM): The warp is open. And ready.
Digifanatic: "Let's go." *warps.*
Metal Man (GM): The Questers are all warped now... finally... to the main attraction of tonight. The Kuja Library.
Kamui: *He's the last one through the portal.*
Deloth heads to the counter and returns his learned-up book, first.
Metal Man (GM): Appearing instantly in the main hall, the same four doors are open; Kain wing, FuSoYa wing, Rare Books, and entryway.
Aribar: "Perhaps we can find some spellbooks within that will actually give us an edge over our enemies..."
Metal Man (GM): The book is marked and then flies back into the Rare Book wing. Then something weird happens. The after-effect of your warp echoes across the room and rips open, and somebody else appears.
Deloth: "...What the heck?"
Dragoshi: "Hm...?"
Aribar glances towards this newcomer and tenses, wondering if this is some sort of defense system or something...
Feint: *looks around quizzically* "Where'd I end up this time?"
Kamui: *turns towards the new person, keeping his gun at the ready but not aiming yet.*
Deloth: "Identify yourself, please. We have weapons trained on you."
Dragoshi: *Also glances at the new person, swaying back and forth slightly.*
Digifanatic: .oO(Hmm...)
Feint: *examines them for a moment, tensing a bit* "Feint, ex soldier of the netherworld, where am I, and who are you all?"
Metal Man (GM): Several people, several of them not entirely human, are looking at Feint.
Aribar: "Interesting title... Greetings. We are the Questers. A... Group of heroes, one could say." *This particular person looks a bit like an elf... Unarmed and in some odd clothing. Oh, and he's missing his right arm.*
Dragoshi: *Swaying back and forth slightly* "Well...'Feint', you are at an ancient, abandoned library. And, I... am Dragoshi. Dragoshi Leucrocuta Helldusk."
Deloth: "Daniel Ti'Fiona... apologies. You've arrived at a very sensitive location."
Kamui: *looks towards the humanoid figures which Metal mentions, blinking a few times* "Hello."
Metal Man (GM): The dex chimes in.
Dex: "A reminder: You are to secure these books for use for HQ. This will require trying to access the main book mechanism to find out what it wants.."
Metal Man (GM): Handy of it.
Dragoshi: "I see. Have any idea where it is?"
Metal Man (GM): Of course, the front desk is where the seemingly sentient bookmastery goes on.
Deloth: "Now that the introductions are over..." *heads to the FuSoYa wing and starts looking for a book on summoning.*
Metal Man (GM): At least, it effortlessly took Deloth's book back and put it away.
Aribar takes out his dex and listens to it all.* "Hm."
Digifanatic: *Definitely fully human, mid/upper 20s, in casual clothing--solid colored short-sleeved shirt and long pants, and it looks like he's holding a strap to a few things on his back--one of them looks like the shaft to a golf club. If there's anything else, it's not large enough to be seen. He's a bit on the thin side of average weight, but well-built and tall...*
Metal Man (GM): Summons have one flaw: They require minimum 9 will to use. They are tougher than the hardest elemental spells. But they are awesome, too. >.>
Dragoshi: *Goes to the Kain wing, and checks to see if there are any books on combat tactics. >_>*
Metal Man (GM): The front desk has a mysteriously empty middle area, where people should be. There are tactics books. Of course due to changes in circumstances, it may cost coins...
Kamui: *walks towards the empty middle area, keeping pistol in hand.*
Feint: *Watches these strangers for a moment and heads to the rare books section, just to see what there is.*
Metal Man (GM): Kain wing: No combat tactics per se. Mostly information on how to obtain weapons.
Deloth grabs a book on summoning anyways.
Metal Man (GM): The rare books contain the random stuff you won't find anywhere else.
Dragoshi: *He looks for some books on scythes. >_>*
Metal Man (GM): There are plenty of books on scythes. As well as about three bookcases on various spears. AKA Bil de bebec de ridiculoso.
Digifanatic: "Oh, right. Ian Hoffman, nickname's Digifanatic. Call me anything amongst that set of names that you like."
Aribar hrms and tries to ask his Dex what's in the various sections.
Metal Man (GM): They all look about the same, but for some reason they have a book for each variant.
Deloth: *checks out the book, looking around the main area while he does so...*
Aribar: "The others must have been here before... Maybe they recorded some info on this place."
Dex: "FuSoYa contains magic books. Rare books section has weird books. And the Kain wing has weapon books."
Dragoshi: *So... There should be a book on how to acquire some sort of good dual-bladed scythe, then? 'Cause if that's the case, Dragoshi'll be taking that one.*
Metal Man (GM): Deloth would see it's a generic summoning book. The easiest summon is taught here: Chocobo. Chocobo are good for riding and really quick attacking, but fragile. By the way, this resembles the library from FF4.
Aribar: "Thanks!" *With that, he's off to the FuSoYa section to take every lightning book he can find. @_@.*
Deloth then leans against a wall and starts looking through the new book.
Metal Man (GM): Aribar would see there are four lightning books... the magic ones, at least.
Feint: *looks through to see if he can find books on rift/dimensional travel, etc.*
Metal Man (GM): The Thundaja book has a red label on it.
Thundaja Book: 'CANNOT BE USED UNTIL ALL OTHER LIGHTNING MAGIC IS MASTERED.'
Metal Man (GM): There are plenty of books on interdimensional travel for Feint to see. 'Dimensions n' Demons' 'The Voids of Dimensional Travel' 'How to ascend to other planes.'
Aribar looks at the label and smirks.* "Heh... That should be easy enough."
Metal Man (GM): The only problem is Feint or the others can't seemingly grab any. A weird field protects them.
Deloth: "Hmm... interesting. So the beginning summon is a giant bird?"
Dragoshi: *And, how 'bout Dragoshi's search for a book related to a decent dual-bladed scythe?*
Aribar frowns, poking the barrier.* "This is both troublesome and annoying."
Deloth: "Weird..." *shakes his head and continues reading.*
Metal Man (GM): Deloth awakens a strange presence by his question. The outline of a very ancient librarian.
Feint: *Pulls hand away from the field and heads back to the main hall, heading to the Kain wing instead.*
???: "Yeees... indeed... I once read it... eighty-thousand years ago..."
Metal Man (GM): Kain wing is stocked to the brim with weapon books.
Deloth looks up, blinking. "Er... hello."
Kamui: *looks towards the strange outline, aiming his gun at it real quick and keeping an eye on it.*
Digifanatic just checks out the Rare books...
Deloth: "Sorry, I wasn't aware that this place was inhabited or I would've kept my voice down."
???: *Stares that the gun* "Your mortal weapons cannot harm me." *Turns to Deloth.*
Dragoshi: *Takes a book related to a dual-bladed scythe, then.* "Hm... Wonder if I can keep the weapon once I acquisition it, though..."
The Librarian: "I am the ancient spirit of libraries everywhere... The Librarian."
Digifanatic: *He's just curious into strange stuff right now.*
The Librarian: "I awakened from my ancient slumber when you began entering this library. You appear to want something more than my books... perhaps you could tell me?"
Kamui: "Wasn't planning on it, just making sure you don't go evil on me."
Metal Man (GM): The Librarian is an old, hunched over man with ashen skin, long, ratty white hair, gray robes, and is 90% transparent.
Aribar knocks on the barrier, wondering how it works. Chances are this is what they came here to find out; how to operate this thing. The half-elf looks all about for anything that may indicate how to get past that barrier.
Deloth: "Actually... yes. We need some teaching materials from this place. Is there any way that we can have access to those?"
Metal Man (GM): He is about 4 feet tall, he'd be 5 and a half if he wasn't so hunched over.
Kamui: *lowers his gun, blinking a few times but keeping on the defense.*
The Librarian: "Ah... ah... you want to relocate my books, then? I have... been waiting for such... this realm... it is dead. But... it is very difficult..."
Metal Man (GM): He writes a note oddly, and inserts it into a portal.
Dragoshi: "Howso?"
Metal Man (GM): A note falls out above Aribar and lands in front of Aribar.
Dragoshi: *Or can he not hear the Librarian?*
Metal Man (GM): The note says 'Please ask The Librarian before taking out any rare books.' A copy of it lands before Feint. The Librarian can be heard in the main wing, as well as in the Kain and FuSoYa wings.
Kamui: *looks over to Aribar* "What's it say?"
Metal Man (GM): His voice echoes.
Dragoshi: *Anyway, Dragoshi takes the book about the dual-bladed scythe, and walks into the main wing. Whee.*
Feint: *picks up the note and opens it.*
Digifanatic: *Well, he looks at some of the Rare books... reads through some sections.*
Metal Man (GM): Feint reads it. It says 'Please ask The Librarian before taking out any rare books.' The Librarian teleports to the book counter and looks to Dragoshi.
Aribar bends down to pick up the note... "Hrm... It says to ask 'The Librarian' to take out rare books."
The Librarian: "There is... one holdup... we may be relocating... I'll need your help."
Feint: *writes 'will do' on the note and puts it back on the floor.*
Kamui: *looks to the Librarian* "What is it?"
Dragoshi: "What kind of help, if I may inquire?"
The Librarian: "...The Library has an extradimensional warp mechanism, but I have become too old and hunched over to reach it..."
Aribar: "Well, this is something... I'll show this to the others." *Heads to the main room of the library, where he'd see an... Interesting and new person there.*
Feint: *hears the voices and heads back to the main hall.*
Dragoshi: "I see..."
The Librarian: "Furthermore... the costs of maintaining the library in your realm means it will cost money to rent books... however... you shall each get one non-rare book rental for free if you do as I say."
Dragoshi: "'Kay."
Kamui: *nods his head* "What should I do?"
Metal Man (GM): The Librarian turns around, facing all the Questers he can, and speaking up.
The Librarian: "I shall lead you to the device. You must do as I say, for it is dangerous, and the Abyss Weapon is nearly upon us again."
Dragoshi: "What is that thing weak against, anyw-Ah, I'll figure it out later."
Metal Man (GM): He pulls an unseen lever and a giant hole opens in the lobby, with stairs going down... down into thin air, unsupported, but somehow they work anyway.
Feint: "...The Abyss Weapon?"
Aribar: "This person seems... New... The Librarian, I'm guessing?" *Says this as he approaches the others. The elf quiets down as he hears the Librarian speak of dangerous and Abyss-esque stuff.*
Deloth starts heading down the stairs...
The Librarian: "The Abyss Weapon... Kuja created it of his own evil in this realm, and it killed him and everyone he ruled... Yes, I am... the Librarian."
Metal Man (GM): The Librarian begins heading down the stairs.
Dragoshi: "Anyway." *Would proceed to follow The Librarian.*
The Librarian: "The Abyss Weapon... is the avatar of all that is wrong in Kuja's mind... that is why he is no longer evil... it escaped from his mind and devoured those who had not been killed by then... the heretics who thought he was a God."
Aribar watches the two of them head away.* "I do believe I have missed something..." *Hurries after them.*
The Librarian: *He materializes a cane to help him walk.*
Digifanatic: *follows.*
Feint: *follows the Librarian as well.*
Kamui: *follows the librarian and the group, keeping gun in hand.*
The Librarian: "The entire realm was destroyed by this being... perhaps it can be saved one day... not now."
Metal Man (GM): He reaches the bottom. It is a platform floating on air.
The Librarian: "The next path is invisible. I made it so to discourage Kuja's men. Follow me exactly, or you will fall forever."
Metal Man (GM): He begins walking very slowly... ...on thin air.
Digifanatic does his best to carefully follow...
Dragoshi: "'K." *Would proceed to follow The Librarian at the same speed, just as carefully... Making sure not to bump into Digi, either.*
Metal Man (GM): As long as no one overtakes him or moves too slow, everyone can all fit in a single file following him.
Kamui: *watches the librarian, a little skeptical at first but walks on after the librarian.*
Deloth carefully follows behind the others, walking slowly.
Aribar: "This sounds a little precarious." *The elf chimes this in while following the Li of Baria.*
The Librarian: "Alas, I read a book that was submitted by Kuja himself when he came back one day... it said..."
Feint: *feels around for a moment before taking a step out, following.*
The Librarian: "Another being worse than him from another realm arose and destroyed him in your realm."
Dragoshi: "Was it The Void?"
The Librarian: "The Void... or, as it is known here... Necron... it was... an alias of that being... it was called The Void by a man named Ex-Deth too... but... this Void... this one was from a realm where no heroes stopped it."
Digifanatic: "Necron? Ex-Death?"
The Librarian: "Our aliases of it died hasty deaths... even Zeromus could not match the one in your realm... I researched it... and ye, I discovered the horrific truth: It came from a realm of talking animals which had spun wildly out of control."
Metal Man (GM): He opens an invisible door, revealing a room floating in air, with torches.
The Librarian: "But... what I discovered next... is why we are here."
Dragoshi: "And, that would be...?"
The Librarian: "The Void was not alone."
Kamui: *continues following exactly as the ghost had moved, looking straight at the ghost* "Ganondorf?"
Dragoshi: "..."
Aribar: "... What?"
Metal Man (GM): He flicks his fingers, revealing a massive, complex machine, with magic runes all over it.
Dragoshi: "...I do not like where this is going."
Deloth: "..."
The Librarian: "Something, or some one, was to blame for The Void not dying in his home realm. And that some one... destroyed another realm with it too... and was then fit on destroying yours next. Whoever they are..." He looks worried. "Are not happy right now."
Metal Man (GM): The massive magical machine has three things to it;
Dragoshi: "Well, they did get their little toy blown up..."
Metal Man (GM): Two slots, and a lever.
Deloth: "What is this machine, may I ask?"
The Librarian: "This is the trans-dimensional warp machine, built by the last librarians that lived."
Feint: *examines the runes covering the machine, looking for anything familiar.*
Metal Man (GM): They look all strange, but some incorporate common themes of death, life, and eternity.
The Librarian: "It was never completed in time to save them from The Abyss Weapon. But you..."
Metal Man (GM): He points to the three slots.
The Librarian: "You can use it now. All I require is two tomes."
Aribar has shivers sent down his spines as his mind races to comprehend the existence and threat of the Void's... Superiors?*
Metal Man (GM): One slot has a lever in it.
Deloth: "Two tomes... which ones?"
Dragoshi: "Okay. Which?"
The Librarian: "The Light Prognosticus... and the Dark Prognosticus. Two very rare tomes. Indeed, I should have them."
Digifanatic: "Ganondorf has one of them..."
Metal Man (GM): He takes out a portal and pulls out... only the Light Prognosticus.
Dragoshi: "The Dark Prognosticus... Ganondorf has that, if I'm not mistaken."
Digifanatic: "And--oh."
The Librarian: "Right you are. It appears dark magic is at work. But."
Metal Man (GM): He chuckles.
Dragoshi: "What?"
The Librarian: "The Sword of Darkness..."
Metal Man (GM): He points at Dragoshi.
The Librarian: "Will do just as fine."
Dragoshi: "...So. You want my Dark Sword?"
Kamui: *turns his head to Dragoshi.*
The Librarian: "No. You simply need to insert it into the slot."
Aribar: "What are those books? I have been... Absent of late, yet they appear to be quite valuable, strong, and sought af... ter..." *Shudders at the mention of the Sword of Darkness.*
Metal Man (GM): He turns to the machine, and thrusts his hands into the air.
Deloth: "Better put it in, Drago. Things don't look good for us."
The Librarian: "The opposing energies of good and evil power this machine to balance reality."
Dragoshi: *Sigh* "...Oh. Well, if I only need to do that." *Slides out the Dark Sword, and would proceed to insert it into one of the slots.*
The Librarian: "The Prognostici predict the future. The Light one shows what one can know, without adversely effecting it."
Dragoshi: "And I presume one predicts a good future, and one predicts a horrifically bad one? ...Oh. Or that."
The Librarian: "The Dark one aims to destroy the future by exposing all its bad secrets. The Void most likely used his last breath to steal the Dark one. His fingerprint was found, having broken the seal I put on it... tsk tsk tsk. Naughty being he was."
Dragoshi: "Well... He's dead. At least, that's still somewhat comforting." e_e
The Librarian: "I think he wanted to use it as a last minute comeback piece. Good thing I made it too cryptic for him, or anyone, to read properly. Now." He sticks the light prognosticus into its slot. "Put the Dark sword into the dark slot."
Aribar: "And this devices uses those two artifacts to... What extent, again?"
Dragoshi: *Nods, and does as instructed.*
The Librarian: "A power source... to warp the library to your realm, and save it... from the Abyss."
Dragoshi: "I see. Well, we better be quick about it, 'lest the Abyss comes..." *Has already inserted the Dark Sword into it's slot.*
The Librarian: "Now... one of you pull the lever. I... cannot reach it."
Dragoshi: *Walks over to the lever and does so. :/*
Aribar: "Ah... I see." *The elf, in his rather eccentric mood, mutters some stuff to himself...*
Metal Man (GM): He reaches for it. It's an inch out of his reach. *Yank.* *Chrono Trigger warp noise.*
Dragoshi: *Good thing Dragoshi's, like, 6' 3". >_>;;*
Metal Man (GM): The group is now standing in the same place... but... oh no! They haven't reached HQ. Rather, they have reached... ...The corrupted zone. Ganondorf is in the same place he was before when he summoned the monsters. He looks at you evilly.
Ganondorf: "Yes! It worked! If I couldn't steal it out of the library... I would just bring the library to me."
Deloth: "Ganondorf!" *ducks into his battle pose quickly, stashing his summoning book away.*
The Librarian: "Hm. A small setback."
Dragoshi: *Looks at Ganondorf* "We really must stop meeting like this."
The Librarian: "Please take care of him, then we can be on our way."
Dragoshi: "Fair enough."
Aribar blinks, thinking that if he closes and opens his eyes enough Ganondorf will go away.
Ganondorf: *Stares at the Librarian* "Wait a minute... who's that?" He looks at his book. "Tell me, book!"
Book: "..."
Ganondorf: "..."
Feint: *falls back into a fighting stance, his hand on the hilt of his sword and he mutters to Dragoshi* "Who is this guy?"
The Librarian: "That book is my property. Give it back... or it will destroy you."
Dragoshi: "An old enemy of ours." *Zooms over to Ganondorf and tries to steal it out of his hands before he does something stupid again.*
Ganondorf: "Never! You, and your library, must be used for myself... and my allies."
Metal Man (GM): Ganondorf is protected by a field.
Kamui: *turns his gun at Ganondorf aiming for his head* "... Damn..."
Dragoshi: *Bounces off of it* "Typical."
Aribar whispers to the the Librarian, "Could we perhaps use the Light Prognosticus to counter his book?"
Ganondorf: "Very well, I shall fight you."
Metal Man (GM): The Librarian laughs.
The Librarian: "Why use the polar opposite? I studied the entire prognosticus..."
Ganondorf: "..."
Metal Man (GM): Ganondorf's eyes go wide.
Dragoshi: "Oh. This oughtta be humorous."
Metal Man (GM): Then the book he's holding begins zapping him in the face with lightning.
Dragoshi: "How about you just relinquish the book and go aw-...Or, that works."
Deloth grins, relaxing his battle pose somewhat.
The Librarian: "It predicted an elf-man warlock would be zapped in the face for defying the book."
Kamui: *looks towards the librarian, then to Ganondorf* "Damn you look stupid right now."
The Librarian: "And that... the chosen ones would fight him, now on even ground."
Aribar blinks at the absurdity...
Dragoshi: "Personally, I'd like this much more if cartoony sound effects were added in right now." >_>
Deloth takes a few pictures of this rich little event.
Dragoshi: "Or if a Dunce cap appeared on Ganondorf's head. Either or."
Metal Man (GM): Ganondorf gets angry. His shield explodes, and the Triforce of Power protects him.
Ganondorf: "Fine. If I cannot destroy you with the book... my allies shall aid me! Kamek! Trent! Aid me now."
Metal Man (GM): Kamek and Trent Easton appear at his side.
Aribar: "Oh... Piffle."
Metal Man (GM): Trent hands Ganondorf an assault rifle and an invisibility field. Kamek then casts a spell on him to make him physically stronger. And a foot taller.
Deloth: *Battle pose again, Dex stashed away. This'll get messy, kids...*
Dragoshi: "...Of course you'd be too much of a coward to fight without assistance. My, how the mighty have fallen from several thousand feet in the air."
Trent Easton: "Stop messing in things you don't know, children! This is for the grown-ups to deal with!"
The Librarian: "Yes, gun-wielding child. Please shut up and get out of my business."
Dragoshi: "I am far from a child, you insolent pestilence."
Metal Man (GM): The Librarian summons a book and flings it in Trent's face. Trent is KO'd.
Kamek: "Ahhhh! It's that guy from the stories! Uh... you do the rest, Ganondorf!"
Dragoshi: *Looks at the Librarian* "...My respect for you has gone up several levels."
Aribar drops down into his fighting stance, eyes darting back and forth between the combatants. This battle seems suicidal to the worn out elf... Then... Watches as one of their foes is knocked out.
Metal Man (GM): Kamek flies away really fast.
Deloth: "...Erm, is that what happens if you return a book late?"
Dragoshi: "...And it just went up again." >_>;;
The Librarian: "I charge you extra." He grins.
Kamui: *takes a shot at Kamek for the hell of it.
The Librarian: "Now, before my cowardish, once-ward comes back, and the insolent gun-child wakes up, you must defeat... the impish betrayer."
Deloth: "...I plan to ALWAYS return my books on time, just so you know..."
Ganondorf: "I'll make you regret calling me that, old man."
Metal Man (GM): Ganondorf cracks his knuckles and walks into battle stance. Kamui shoots another hole in Kamek's hat, before he vanishes. It is time... for BATTLE.
Aribar: "On guard, Ganondorf!"
Feint: *pulls his sword from its sheath with a soft flash of light and prepares for battle.*
Dragoshi: "Whatever..."
Ganondorf: "You have no chance against me!"
Dragoshi: "I shall be the judge of that, you oversized olive."
Metal Man (GM): Ganondorf isn't cloaked yet, and has an assault rifle. And is biiiig. He looks ready to tear your other arm off.
Aribar starts towards Ganondorf. He starts at a slow walk before building up momentum and speed. Soon the elf is dashing towards the warlock, fingers busy with somantic spell gestures and mouth muttering verbal ones. The wind trailing behind the elf suddenly has life breathed into it and forms numerous blades. The wizard takes hold of one sword and at the last moment leaps towards Ganondorf.*
Aribar: "Warlock's bane!" *The elf cries this out while smashing the sorcerous blade down unto the Gerudo. All of the other windy weapons soon follow, all attempting to rip and shred Ganondorf to pieces.*
Metal Man (GM): Trent's KO'd body is still force fielded. The warlock tries to block the one attack which succeeded. He blocks it... barely.
Aribar backs off as his weapon fades away.*
Dragoshi: *Rears back a little bit, head arcing backwards, then launches out a blast of acid at Ganondorf!*
Metal Man (GM): Ganondorf's triforce wards off defense decreasing, but he's hit nonetheless!
Dragoshi: "Hmph. Nice little trick. Too bad it won't help you." *Zooms forward and tries to steal the assault rifle offa Ganondork.*
Metal Man (GM): Ganondorf sees the sword of Darkness. He is called the King of Thieves for a reason... He takes the Sword of Darkness.
Ganondorf: "Never steal from a master thief. Ha ha ha haaa!"
Dragoshi: "Hey. Give that back." *Tries to take it back, because sheesh.*
Deloth: "...Way to go, Drago."
Metal Man (GM): He holds it out of the way.
Dragoshi: *Fucking argh.*
Ganondorf: "And now... I shall use my new technique."
Kamui: "Are we screwed?"
Metal Man (GM): He holds... both the rifle and the sword of Darkness.
Ganondorf: "Jaws of Darkness!"
Digifanatic decides to take Ganondorf simultaneously the best way he can... here comes a Hyper Beam Matrix. One shot to pull this off... here we go.
Metal Man (GM): He leaps up into the air, flips three times, then lands in front of Aribar, whom he then slashes and stabs at repeatedly. Digi's attack is deflected off of his sword mid-jump.
Aribar quickly conjures up a blade of air to parry the slash, slap up Ganondorf's gun so it misses, and then leaps back from the second slash.*
Metal Man (GM): All three hit. Ganondorf looks to be tired from that large combo.
Aribar is given two critical slices and just managed to slap the gun up so it hits him in the shoulder... The stumbles away in pain.
Feint: *charging.*
Kamui: *brings his gun up, aiming a shot at the sword in Ganondorfs hand to try and disarm him.*
Metal Man (GM): He tries to evade the shot by ducking.
Deloth: "Alright, let's try this new move out... Fira!" *shoots a burst of roaring fire at Ganondorf's hand. Hopefully it'll cause enough pain to make him drop the sword.*
Metal Man (GM): He succeeds with gusto. He leaps to the left. The sword is hit and knocked behind him. No pain, but disarmed.
Ganondorf: "By all means, waste your attacks disarming me."
Dragoshi: "Thanks..."
Deloth casually blows the smoke off of his hand and goes back into his regular stance.
Deloth: "And that's why I'm such a strong believer in the red element, folks."
Dragoshi: *Dragoshi zooms over to Ganondorf, and attempts to take his other weapon with another attempted robbery. Whee.*
Metal Man (GM): He blocks it with riposte.
Dragoshi: *Doesn't bother anymore, seeing as this'll prolly' be the same fucking thing happening the next ten million attempts. Or... Actually, maybe. One last time, just for the sake of it. 'Cause, hey. It's fun to exercise futility. :p*
Metal Man (GM): Behold: You steal his gun.
Dragoshi: *Snatches the rifle out of Ganondorf's ugly hands* "This shall suffice. It's been a while since I've had such a beautiful weapon in my hands..." *Oh god, he's reminiscing about the Vendetta Machinegun.*
Metal Man (GM): The gun locks up in your hands. You cannot use this one... yet. Trent Easton knows gun security.
Dragoshi: *Puts it away, and calls it an arctic tern.*
Aribar jumps into the air, electricity crackling around the elf. He then rockets off towards Ganondorf in an attempt to knock the Gerudo back. Of course, this sends up flairs of pain in the elf's wounds so that when he bounces off/misses Ganondorf he consumes a Mushroom.*
Ganondorf: "Arghaahahahhhhh!!!!!"
Metal Man (GM): He's zapped in the face. Again.
Dragoshi: "That's never getting old."
Feint: *kicks off the ground and charges toward Ganondorf with a yell, jumping into the air and swiping his blade toward him.*
Metal Man (GM): Ganondorf is hit... barely.
Feint: *continues falling forward, slicing again at the big man.*
Metal Man (GM): Hit again, barely again
Dragoshi: *Dragoshi would then zoom over to Ganondorf once again, and attempt to grab him with his tail...*
Metal Man (GM): Ganondorf trips and bonks his head, taking damage, as Dragoshi grabs him.
Dragoshi: *Then, to add further injury to brain damage, Dragoshi crushes Ganned Goodz n' Dortz windpipe a little bit, then starts SMASHING HIM INTO THE FUCKING GROUND. Anyway, Dragoshi would then pick up his Dark Sword and dash back into the Quester lines.*
Metal Man (GM): Ganondorf cracks his knuckles.
Ganondorf: "You want a real show? Then take... THIS!."
Metal Man (GM): He powers up, and generates three lightning orbs. Which he then tosses at Dragoshi. Hit, hit, hit. Stun, too. So... He then powers up and fires a cone of Darkness at Aribar. With really lame accuracy.
Aribar dives to the side of the darkness!*
Aribar fires himself at the darkness and hits...
Metal Man (GM): Aribar is hit by the Darkness... and also blinded.
Aribar: "Gah! Bother it all!"
Metal Man (GM): Ganondorf then goes for a classic Gerudo dive at Kamui.
Kamui: *dodges to the side* "Phhht."
Metal Man (GM): Miss!
Kamui: *turns his gun towards Ganondorf's head, aiming a shot at his head near point-blank.*
Metal Man (GM): That one fails.
Digifanatic changes up his strategy a little bit. .oO(No Alex, he can't whine at me for this.) He suddenly whips around that shoulder strap Feint may have seen before, revealing a small musical keyboard-like instrument. He starts playing something that sounds like a collage of orchestral noise that gradually rises in pitch before blasting out a semi-explosion of soundwaves at Ganondorf...
Digifanatic: *BUT WAIT! THERE'S MORE!*
Metal Man (GM): Hit.
Digifanatic runs straight into Ganondorf's head and tries busting his brains, Fire Punch style!
Metal Man (GM): He parries it, laughing.
Ganondorf: "Did you think I'd fall for that old trick again?"
Digifanatic: "I don't care what you fall for, I just want to make contact!"
Deloth: "Alright, time for a little more fire, scarecrow!" *jumps at Ganondorf and pulls off not one, not two, but THREE Fire Twists as he descends!*
Metal Man (GM): Twist 1: Hit. Twist 2: Miss, but Ganondorf grabs at anti-reality and a strange cube appears on the battlefield. Twist 3: Hit.
Aribar backs away from the main commotion of combat and downs a Mushroom. He then holds out his hands and begins to draw in all of the coldness in the area and concentrating it into a single spell...* (Charging Hail)
Feint: *dashes into Ganondorf, slamming him in the gut with the hilt of his weapon before unleashing a quick flurry of slashes.*
Metal Man (GM): Let's see... miss miss hit hit.
Kamui: *takes his gun and aims at Ganondorf, aiming off two shots this time.*
Metal Man (GM): He deflects one, then falls on his face from another one, knocking into the cube, which begins glitching out wildly. Some damage due to glitch, to Ganondorf. Ganondorf laughs heartily.
Ganondorf: "Time for the real fun."
Metal Man (GM): He activates the cloaking device. He becomes invisible. Then he rematerializes behind Feint and fires off... the deadly Warlock Punch!!!
Aribar 's hand is pulsing with icy energy. Thankfully, his sight has also cleared up. The elf flings his hand up into the air and snaps his fingers. The clear and crisp sound summons forth huge chunks of hail onto the battlefield; all aimed at where Ganondorf was. He hopes the storm will not only show where the Gerudo is, but hopefully damage his cloaking device.*
Aribar then summons the shattered chips of ice which have broken up on impact and dashes towards the storm, and hopefully Ganondorf. Combining the frozen fragments with the wind, Aribar pounces upon the Warlock and unleashes a wicked flurry of slices, stabs, cuts, thrusts, and slashes!*
Metal Man (GM): Feint just barely hit Ganondorf. Ganondorf also damages Feint and knocks him across the room. Ganondorf is unable to dodge anything Aribar does while this goes on.
Digifanatic: *After shifting his keyboard to his standard behind the back position, time to basically rely on hitting weak but at least trying to get some progress in... a Fire Punch followed by a pair of Icy Kicks. Might as well try to use the quickest moves he's got. *
Metal Man (GM): Hit, hit... Hit. Digi Hits a lot. Ganondorf is breathing heavily from that.
Ganondorf: "Too... many... too... strong... why must the Triforce fail me like this?"
Dragoshi: "AHEM..." *At Ganondorf.*
Kamui: *watches at Ganondorf, seeing him breathing heavily* "Because, power alone is not enough to defeat an opponent."
Ganondorf: "What? Never! Power is everything, fool!"
Dragoshi: *...Is holding in laughter... But fails.*
Metal Man (GM): He clutches his hand desperately. The Triforce must burn him.
Dragoshi: *Laughs insanely* "Are you really that stupid!?"
Kamui: *shakes his head* "Is it? Then why is your hand bothering you so?"
Dragoshi: "Power is nothing when you factor in everything else! Or at least, next to nothing."
Deloth: "Someone get that cube." *starts charging up a Wing Slam... if it hits, this'll be a lulu of a strike.*
Aribar chimes in, "And in any case, all of us outpower you!"
Dragoshi: "Just because you have a profound amount of power doesn't mean you stand a chance against a team!"
Ganondorf: "No one can outpower Ganondorf!"
Dragoshi: "You should've just gone back home and waited for Link to eventually end your life!"
Feint: *gets up from the ground slowly* "We'll see about that."
Feint: *Charging.*
Deloth: *Aaaaand it's SLAM TIME!*
Metal Man (GM): It fails!
Dragoshi: "Anyway. Enough talk. I tire of your existence." *Dragoshi flexes his claws, and suddenly zooms over to Gannonpork, tail ready to choke the everloving life out of him...*
Metal Man (GM): Hit!
Deloth: *Ker-Compound fracture!*
Metal Man (GM): He is looking weak now.
Dragoshi: *And, once again, Dragoshi crushes Ganned Goodz n' Dorfz windpipe, and once again SLAMS HIM INTO THE GROUND. After such an awesome thing happens, he jumps high up into the air, wings spread, and starts violently twisting around, then comes crashing down on Ganondorf like some sort of air-based drill...*
Metal Man (GM): Miss!
Dragoshi: *But, he miscalculated the trajectory, and crashes several feet to the right of Ganondorf. Oh well. At least he smashed his face into the ground a lot.*
Feint: *growls and sweeps his blade straight down again, unleashing his beam accross the ground*
Metal Man (GM): Ganondorf is Blade beamed in the head. He falls over backwards and is defeated.
Deloth: "All right!"
Kamui: *looks at Ganondorf, then walks over* "Ganondorf, all the power in the world doesn't amount to one shred of class."
Metal Man (GM): Ganondorf gets up. He looks... TICKED.
Aribar watches as Ganondorf is... Actually defeated? Nope...
Metal Man (GM): He glows with unholy energy as the entire area shakes.
Digifanatic: "Well, welcome to the club, Feint!"
Dragoshi: "Hmph. You should've stayed down."
Feint: *holds his gut* "Heh, thanks..."
Digifanatic: "Just be warned... this is probably going to get ugly."
Ganondorf: "No one... shall defeat... ME... I killed seven sages... I killed one of many Links... I have personally destroyed entire kingdoms, and had others destroyed to keep them from me... I shall... destroy you all! Raaaaaaaaaaa--"
Aribar: "Never mess with a Jentanian Wizard, Ganondorf." *The elf tries to say this sternly, but a quiver of uncertainty sneaks in..*
The Librarian: *Grabs the Dark Prognosticus, sticks it in the machine, then chucks the book at Ganondorf's face.*
Kamui: *jumps away from the blast of power.*
Ganondorf: "Aaaaa---AHHHHHHHH!!!!!" *Crack* *Burn* *Zap.*
Metal Man (GM): The book is stuck to his face, zapping him.
Dragoshi: "SHUT UP, SHUT UP, SHUT UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUP!!!" *Tries to crush Ganondorf with a Gravity Well while he's getting zapped.*
The Librarian: "One day, you shall kill the Elf Man. However... If you killed him now, it would be too soon."
Metal Man (GM): He kicks Ganondorf back, who claws at him like a feral animal.
Dragoshi: *Stops, holding claw back.*
Ganondorf: "No... come back here! The book... it says... ...you... Gah!"
Metal Man (GM): The Librarian hops up and hits the switch. Guess he was lying about being unable to reach it.
Dragoshi: *Though, it still looks like it's clenching something... And, Dragoshi looks none too happy.*
Metal Man (GM): Ganondorf and the realm vanish from your view. The group reappears in... HQ... ...inside the library... ...which is now several times larger.
Dragoshi: *Hisses as Ganondorf goes away, then stops.* "Urgh..."
The Librarian: "His second form would have been too strong for you. You must practice on his lesser allies first."
Deloth: "Then I thank you for cleaning up that mess."
Dragoshi: "Freaking hate that guy. He talks way too much for my tastes..."
Feint: *looks around the new location and groans* "So... two botched teleports and a punch in the gut later... and I still don't know where I am..."
Dragoshi: *Straightens himself up.*
The Librarian: "In return for your services, I will let you each borrow one book for free. Then... I shall set up prices for future books, as that took quite a toll on the machine."
Kamui: *takes his gun, turning the safety on and looks at the Librarian* "I hope so, if it ended now it'd be so boring."
Deloth: "Welcome to headquarters, new guy. And welcome to a day in the life."
Dragoshi: *Looks at the assault rifle* "I still need to get this thing unlocked, though..."
The Librarian: "Contact me before your next mission to receive your books."
Aribar: "Whew... Thank you for the gift.."
The Librarian: "For now... you have done your mission well, Questers."
Metal Man (GM): He vanishes. MISSION COMPLETE.
Dragoshi: "Then find a way to lock out everyone except me and my allies that can actually use a gun from using it." :/
Deloth: "Now then..." *continues studying summons.*
Kamui: *turns and head off for Snake's shop, having got the missing 5 coins.*
Digifanatic: *turns to Feint* "I take it this wasn't your intention?"
Dragoshi: "...Or just lock out everyone else. Either or." *Shrugs, then stretches.*
Digifanatic: .oO(Hmm... what to do... have a nice chat with Feint, continue discussing things with Deloth, or perhaps get back to Dr. Carrol? Nah, not the last one. He doesn't seem like he knew about anything.)
Kamui: "Yeah."
Aribar: "This was... Some mission..." *Totters off to look at all of the newfound books in the library.*
Kamui: *pays off his holster IOU so he doesn't get attacked by Snake.*
Dragoshi: "That it was. That it was." *Follows Ari.*
Deloth: "Hmmm... let's see, I'm studying fire, summoning... might as well look for a cure spell."
Deloth heads into the library to look for a Cure book...
Dragoshi: *And, Dragoshi looking for that one book on the dual-bladed scythe.*
Feint: *sheeths his sword and stretches* "Ung, haven't fought anyone that powerful in a long time."
Digifanatic: "Ah... I imagine. You'll learn soon enough that there are nuts we fight. So, as I asked, was this place not among your intentions?"
Feint: "I was just sort of... wandering, trying to find somewhere I could be useful... guess I found somewhere."
Digifanatic: "Oh, alright, so this was kind of an interest. Not necessarily a one minute you're standing somewhere and all of a sudden you get sucked into a random warp and the next thing you see is us thing?"
Feint: "Yeah, I had heard about you guys, the Questers, a little bit, but no real details. I was trying to find where the place was, then bam, in the library with me."
Digifanatic: "Ah. Well, keep your head up and be warned that a lot of our enemies seem to suffer from what I like to call an extremely irrational egotistic mind."
Feint: "Thats fine... used to serve one of those types."
Digifanatic: "Oh?"
Feint: "Commanded a small band of Warriors for Overlord Laharl... then he booted me. Been wandering ever since."
Digifanatic: "Ah... Well, hope you find us not too crazy to deal with."
Feint: "I'm sure I'll be fine. It seems like you've run into Ganondorf more than once."
Digifanatic: "And, more than anything else, enjoy the job. Hopefully, you'll get to be a part of some really cool stuff. In fact, we're going to be planning on having a tournament among the Questers soon. Want to sign up? No idea what's at stake, but it's a great way to get accustomed to your allies."
Feint: "Sure, where do I?"
Digifanatic: "Follow me." *heads down to the Stadium area where the sign in sheet is.*
Feint: "Will it be teams, or singles?"
Digifanatic: "Uh, one on one as far as I know."
Feint: *Follows Digi* "Alright."
Digifanatic: "I can ask, though." *contacts Metal on his Dex.*
Feint: *Looks* "What is that?"
Dragoshi: *Pops up from the side, as if out of nowhere to answer Feint's question* "Smash Dex. Quester standard equipment."
Digifanatic: "Yeah. Communication, information, etc. Primarily those two."
Dragoshi: "Yep. And, it's also used to log missions."
Feint: "I see... and everyone gets one of these?"
Digifanatic: "Hmm... Metal's not answering. Dragoshi, Quester tournament's one-on-one, right?"
Dragoshi: "I believe so."
Metal Man (GM): It shows one-on one, round-robin style.
Dragoshi: "...Round-robin, apparently."
Metal Man (GM): Then a final elimination round based on the top fighters.
Dragoshi: "Just like that test tournament from five years ago."
Digifanatic: "Oh, this should be a fair format, then."
Dragoshi: "Man, that was awesome. Especially when multiple people tied for second place."
Digifanatic: "So, Feint, are you still interested?"
Feint: "Of course."
Digifanatic: "Cool. Form's yours."
Dragoshi: "And this guy who had, like one and a half points came from behind to win third place." >_> "...Or was it half a point." *Checks the logs..*
Feint: *Signs the form.*
Digifanatic: "Alright, anything else you're interested to ask?"
Feint: *smirks* Who is considered the strongest fighter here?"
Digifanatic: "I'm not sure which Quester among us is the best. I never gave it much thought."
Dragoshi: "Ehh... I think it was 1.5 points that the third-placer in that tourney from five years ago had, but whatever..." *Puts Dex away* "Eh. No idea."
Digifanatic: "And who knows what sort of luck one of us could get, too..."
Feint: "Thats true I suppose, I think I had a bit of luck back there."
Dragoshi: "And, my luck is freaking weird sometimes. At one point in time, I could be hit with several explosions in the face."
Digifanatic: *sighs* "I just have this horrible feeling we won't be able to kill Ganondorf by the time this tournament is over."
Dragoshi: "Other times, I could be dancing around everything, and tearing into people like an angry dog into some poor guy's face."
Feint: "Maybe he'll decide to show up with all the questers there."
Digifanatic: "Exactly. He'd probably crash the party and instead of fighting for fun, we'll obviously have to deal with him."
Dragoshi: "Yep."
Digifanatic: "Something always seems to happen during one of these, and if we don't pick a date wisely, we'll be screwed, again."
Dragoshi: "Yep. Just like the Swordmaster Tourney. ...Except Metal Sonic only disrupted the match and broke Julian's neck." >_>;;
Feint: "I wouldn't mind getting another shot at him... that punch hurt..."
Dragoshi: *disrupted the match slightly.
Alex Fender: "I AM THE SPACE POPE!!!" The yelling voice echoes through the hallways of the stadium.
Dragoshi: "...what. Oh... shit. Who left the sugar/beer/whatever unguarded again?"
Feint: "what was that?"
Digifanatic: "Guess we should introduce you to someone else..."
Dragoshi: "Yeaaa..."
Digifanatic: "Wherever the heck he is."
Alex Fender: *seems to leap from the rafters... if there was rafters... is there rafters? Anyway, he seems to leap from the rafters and perch ever so non-delicately on Feint's head.*
Digifanatic: "And there he is."
Dragoshi: "...Hello, Alex."
Digifanatic: "Feint, meet Alex Fender. Alex, meet Feint."
Alex Fender: *seems to be wearing a construction paper hat held with tape with a big marker drawn cross on the front.* "Kneel before the Space Pope!"
Feint: *looks up a bit* "Nice hat."
Dragoshi: "...Don't mind him. He's very... unique."
Alex`Fender: "AHHH!!! MY THRONE IS TALKING TO ME!!"
Dragoshi: *Snrks* "And hilarious sometimes."
Alex`Fender: *leaps off him and goes screaming down the hallway, arms flailing.*
Feint: "Should hope so, I'm the secret to your power."
Digifanatic: *whispers to Dragoshi* "How come we haven't made any E Li Three comparisons about him, yet?"
Alex`Fender: *pauses and looks back.*
Feint: "Well, that was odd."
Dragoshi: "...Because Alex doesn't use imploding bananas."
Alex`Fender: "...my power... is ROCK!"
Digifanatic: "Ah..."
Dragoshi: "That, and he prolly' doesn't have a 'Gibby' button."
Alex`Fender: *makes to look like he's slamming a power chord... then looks down to see he has no guitar...*
Dragoshi: "Which counted how many times Gibby pressed it."
Alex`Fender: "...oh... right..."
Feint: "See, without me, you fail!"
Alex`Fender: *sorta wilts, falling into a pile and laying there..*
Dragoshi: "...They're selling guitars at the weapon store, if that makes you feel better." >_> *feel any better.
Digifanatic: *w* "It won't unless they have the exact model Trust me." model.*
Feint: "I think he died..."
Alex`Fender: *springs and is suddenly in Dragoshi's face.* "You sure?"
Dragoshi: "...Let me pull out the stick." *Pulls out a stick, and almost falls over ass-over-teakettle* "I mean, it might not be the exact model, but it'll have to suffice until you can acquire one of the same model or a different one to your liking."
Digifanatic: "Hmm... I'm gonna leave a message for Metal."
Digifanatic rings up Metal's Dex and leaves the following message:
Feint: *is looking over the sign up form for the tourney* "So this says 'Quester's Only, who else would join?"
Digifanatic: "Please do not hold the tournament until we finish Ganondorf off once and for all. The last thing we need to do is give him an open-air chance to ambush the stadium and crash the tournament. I'm warning you. I have a bad feeling about this if we hold the tourney before we finish Ganondorf off. Thank you and I hope you consider my feelings." *click.* "Well, there's going to be a second tournament after this one for all of our other allies--guys like Link, Mario, Kirby, Peach and those folks--to fight in. So that's when they're going up."
Dragoshi: "Yep."
Feint: "I see, do the two groups ever fight one another?"
Digifanatic: "And obviously, you haven't met all of the current Questers yet, but hopefully, you will sooner than later."
Dragoshi: "and, then, after that, the best fighters from both tournaments go up against eachother in another tourney." >_>
Digifanatic: "And--thank you."
Feint: "Oh, cool. Somebody with a title 'Smasher' must mean they're pretty good at what they do."
Digifanatic: "Oh yes. I think you'll be as impressed with them as you have been with us."
Feint: "I was impressed, lots of... odd attacks. That acid... vomit thing. That was cool."
Dragoshi: "Thank you. It took me a little while to develop that one."
Digifanatic: "Eh, not much different than someone breathing fire in terms of delivery..."
Dragoshi: "Yes. Though, the overall effect is more detrimental to the foe's ability to defend themselves. Except in a few cases, such as what you saw with Ganondorf."
Digifanatic: "Well, you take what you can get and whatever works, well, do it!"
Dragoshi: "Quite. Though, what i'd consider to be one of the more destructive attacks in my arsenal would be my Gravity Well, which I didn't get the chance to use. It's destructive potential increases over time, and it can hit about three or so enemies. Though, if I get hit while I'm charging up, well... Everyone's gonna be possibly feeling the hurt, there." >_>;;
Feint: "What, you like, drop the well at your feet?"
Dragoshi: "No. More, like it explodes in a burst of violent shifts of gravitational force."
Feint: "Ouch."
Dragoshi: "Yes. It would be rather painful if that was the case. So, I'd need a good position to charge it up from without fear of getting attacked during battle if I were to try and charge it up to far more devastating preportions."
Digifanatic: "You should have seen him when it used to rain tarantulas and mini-mechs. He was nuts years back. In a good way."
Feint: "There is no bad way to be nuts."
Digifanatic: "I might argue with you on that, but not now."
Dragoshi: "Oh god. Don't forget the flying scythes, and the molotovs, and the dogs, and the other crap."
Feint: "Do I even want to know?"
Dragoshi: "I also remember that time from when we fought The Void in his final form that I had lucked out and summoned another mech for the third time in that insane series of fights. I had 'im fire a barrage of lasers at The Void, then crash into him and explode on impact."
Feint: Sounds... explodey."
Digifanatic: "Basically. It's good to reminisce, all of a sudden..." "Well, Feint, if you have anything else you're interesting in acting us, feel free. If not, you can catch us in the future and do whatever you need to then. I'm usually open after missions."
Feint: "I'll keep that in mind, thanks for the help."
Digifanatic: "No problem." *walks away, flashing a thumbs up to Dragoshi and Feint* .oO(I could retire and become a guide to these people, but I still wouldn't enjoy it as much as this. Ah, that's how it goes...)
