Super Smash Quest - Story - Chapter 482: Urban Robot Fighting
Date: December 9th, 2007.
Trivia: Metal Man knows some Spanish and German. Not much.
Metal Man (GM): The Questers are at HQ. Having averted an insane takeover inspired by the Dark Prognosticus, they would be fairly rested. No tournament yet, however things have settled down a bit... Metal Man and Professor Oak, and Dr. Light, and even Dr. Carrol are working on some sort of machine, though. It looks old, and similar to the blue space ships encountered earlier. Mewtwo, meanwhile, is sitting in a lounge chair in the garden. And off to the side, Wario appears to be in his shop, and also looks... worried.
Kamui: *Sits to the side, his arms crossed around his knees which were hugged to his chest. He looked like he was either sad or tired.*
Feint would be out by the stadium, studying his book, just relaxing.
Metal Man (GM): The group of people working on stuff is in Oak's lab. It's a bit of a tricky affair...
Metal Man: "Pass me the square wrench."
Alex Fender: *is sitting across from Mewtwo, his fingers going up and down the strings of his new, if rather beat up guitar. It's hard to hear, but he's playing awful fast.*
Professor Oak: "A what?"
Dr. Light: "This one!"
Alex Fender: "What's the dealio, Psychic Kitty?"
Metal Man: "That one's too small."
Dr. Carrol: "No, this one."
Metal Man: "Whatever." *Squeaky noises* *Glowing* *Weird noise* "Was that the right noise?"
Dr. Carrol: "No."
Metal Man: "D'oh."
Deloth would be snoozing up in his room after a study session of another one of those library books...
Metal Man (GM): Mewtwo turns to Alex Fender.
Mewtwo: "Nothing in particular. I tried to book a flight to Isle Delfino, but they appear to be... having problems. Hmph."
Alex Fender: "Isle what now?"
Digifanatic: *Dunno where to be right now...*
Mewtwo: "Isle Delfino, a resort often visited by Mario and his friends."
Alex Fender: "...sounds like someplace I'd wanna go! Do they have...PINEAPPLES there?!"
Mewtwo: "Yes."
Alex Fender: "WHOO!!"
Dr. Light: *Working on the machine* "What is this for, again?"
Alex Fender: *bolts off, racing through the hallways to find Metal.*
Metal Man: "Ancient top-secret dealie. Ganondorf's up to something."
Metal Man (GM): Alex finds Metal in the lab with the other scientists. They are working on some large machine.
Alex Fender: "METAAAAAAAAAL!!!!"
Deloth: *flopping around in bed* "Nngh... corn... coming after me... attacking me... no, get away..."
Metal Man: "..." *He turns to Oak.* "OAAAAAAAAAAK!!!!!!!"
Dragoshi: *Decides to go to the item shop, and sees Wario..Who looks worried about something* "...What's the problem, if I may ask?"
Professor Oak: "Ow! My ears! ...What is it?"
Metal Man continues messing with the machine.
Alex Fender: "Metal! The Isle! With the pineapples! In trouble!"
Wario: "My-a friend, Waluigi! He's gone vanished!"
Alex Fender: "THEY WON'T LET PSYCHIC KITTY GO HAVE PINEAPPLES!!"
Metal Man shakes his head. Professor Oak answers.
Dragoshi: "Huh. Have any idea on where he was last sighted?"
Oak: "That's all in good, but Ganondorf is on the loose, with an all-powerful book executing his will. This machine is being built to counter it, but we need supplies... from another ruined area."
Alex Fender: "But the PINEAPPLES!!!"
Wario: "I-a last saw him when we were roughing up a Tennis tournament. Just down-a the street!"
Aribar is (belatedly) training in the Holorooms...
Feint testing out whatever the book has to offer.
Professor Oak: "I can open a warp to there, but I have to be sure that's what the Questers, not just you, want to do first."
Deloth: "Get away... get AWAY... NOOOOOOO!" *sits bolt upright in bed.*
Alex Fender: "Awww...alright..."
Deloth: *blink blink* "...No more pizza before catching a catnap."
Deloth heads down to the main Stadium section, grabbing his Fira bracelet off his desk as he heads out.
Dragoshi: "Hmm...Noted." *Would then leave, and check up on Metal and the gang. Because yes.*
Alex Fender: "...soooo...what's this thing?"
Professor Oak: "This thing is a device which, Dr. Carrol says, will mitigate his Megawarp distortion, and in turn allow us to stop Ganondorf. Unfortunately, the parts required are buried in an old ruin near this place called Central City. Some experiments by an old government there created the only parts compatible with this... by accident, he says. They didn't know what they had and threw it away, though."
Dragoshi: "Huh."
Professor Oak: "So if you want to help, you guys have to find the parts in the wreckage. Or you can check out Isle Delfino, though it may be dangerous."
Alex Fender: "...uhhhh..."
Deloth walks into the room containing Drago, Alex, and the others... prolly' getting somewhat cramped in there with all these people.
Deloth: "Did I hear something about old ruins?"
Dragoshi: "Mhm."
Deloth leans against the machine, resting one arm on it. "Cool. When do we leave?"
Professor Oak: "Yes. Old ruins in a city near where Sonic the Hedgehog and his buddies come from. Right now, if you want, although Alex suggests we go to Isle Delfino. Whichever you want to do is fine."
Feint yawns and packs up, heading back to main HQ.
Metal Man finally rises from under the machine. "Because I'll look myself at the one you don't do. Heh heh heh."
Alex Fender: "DEL...THE PSYCHIC KITTY...HE HAS NO PINEAPPLES..."
Deloth: "...I thought Mewtwo hated pineapples."
Aribar finishes up some training in the Holoroom. The elf heads out, wondering why the Questers haven't been called to interfere with Ganondorf's plans or anything, so he goes to find the others.*
Dragoshi: "I say we go search the ruins..."
Professor Oak: "I wonder if Mewtwo even eats like normal people, considering how strange his body is..."
Deloth: "Seconded, Drago."
Metal Man: "So, you guys decide. So far, ruins appear to be the flavor in charge, but we'll see." *Watches as he works on the machine.*
Feint: "Did I hear something about ruins?...jeez, sure is crowded in here..."
Aribar enters the nice and crowded room.* "Happy time period, everyone... I take it something is up?"
Professor Oak: "We need parts for this... anti-Ganondorf machine... parts buried in a ruined area. Alternatively, you can go to Isle Delfino to... get pineapples for Mewtwo???"
Digifanatic: *Is probably unaware of anything that's going on.*
Feint: "Well...I think anti-Ganondorf machine takes priority over feeding Mewtwo..."
Deloth: *Dex* "Hey, Digi, wake up. Mission choosing time."
Digifanatic: "Oh..." *heads over.*
Aribar: "... I would say that stopping an evil tyrannical warlock takes precedence, but that's just me."
Professor Oak: "So it is. Of course, you could do the Isle Delfino one AFTER this mission... if you think that's good?"
Deloth: "Sure, why not."
Feint: "We can figure it out once we're done getting your parts I think. Or we could split up?"
Dragoshi: "Nah...I'd rather go and try to find out where Waluigi's gone to after this mission. Wario said something about 'im missing..."
Digifanatic: "Well, I imagine something big's going on if you demand us to hold a mission back."
Metal Man: "So, you're decided on the primary mission? Good!" *He presses a button.* "The warp room's ready now. Go to it if you're ready."
Deloth: *heads to the warp room, indeed.*
Aribar heads for the Room Warp.
Dragoshi: "'K." *Walks over to said warp room.*
Feint: *heads out to the warp.*
Digifanatic: *warps*
Metal Man (GM): WARP. you appear in... well... this is a change. You're not inside anywhere. You're in a section of a city. A ruined section. It looks like it was attacked from above. You're on an intersection, on a cracked street. The signs say... 'El Conozco' and 'Fairway Street'
Deloth: "Man, this place is a total wasteland..."
Metal Man (GM): To the North is a bunch of tall, hunched over buildings. To the East is a desert wasteland.
Aribar looks about the ruined city.* "What are you talking about? This is such a beautiful locale."
Metal Man (GM): The living section of the city is to the West. To the South... is a military facility with barbed wire all around it.
Feint: *whistles* Sure is a nice place.
Metal Man (GM): Though the gate is busted.
Deloth: "Hmm..."
Alex Fender: "Nice place my ass!"
Deloth heads... north.
Digifanatic: .oO(We're definitely breaking out the sarcasm guns today.)
Metal Man (GM): To the North, one finds three buildings, their respective doors locked. Only one has a window which is open a crack.
Feint: *takes out his dex* "So, do have any info on where this stuff might be?"
Kamui: *stands near the group, taking out his silenced pistol, he checks the ammo clip, before slapping it lightly back in to the butt of the gun. He pulls back the slide, then points the gun to the ground idly* "..."
Aribar weakly chuckles at his dark joke.* "So, we need parts The military base might be a good idea."
Alex Fender: "Military base might have guns! Or a TANK..."
Dex: "This is the ruined industrial section of a city named Capital City."
Dragoshi: "...A jumping tank?"
Digifanatic: "You just had to, Drago?"
Deloth: *He looks to see how high that nearby window is off the ground.*
Dex: "It was destroyed in an attack unknown. Possibly an ancient attack from Eggman. This IS Sonic's realm after all."
Metal Man (GM): It is only five feet off the ground.
Digifanatic: .oO(Robotnik, dang it...)
Deloth takes a few steps back, then runs and makes a jump for the windowsill.
Alex Fender: *is giving the military base a hungry look..*
Kamui: *Looks around, then looks over to Dragoshi* "What's the mission for today?"
Feint: *Closes the Dex* "Base probably is the best bet."
Dragoshi: *And, Dragoshi walks over to the same building Del's heading towards, to see if the door's locked via keyhole or something.* "To find parts needed for a device that'd help us against Ganondorf."
Digifanatic: "I kinda like that idea..."
Metal Man (GM): That window Deloth is looking at is not that hard to get into. Inside there Deloth would find an abandoned living room. Old, useless chairs, garbage, former hobo living accomodations...
Metal Man (GM): There's stairs up that look condemned and such. The door to that building is locked.
Deloth puts one foot on the stairs, cautiously.
Dragoshi: *He checks if the lock on that door can be picked.*
Metal Man (GM): The stairs creak ominously.
Kamui: "Right then." *He begins walking off down the street, keeping his gun in hand he begins walking along looking for anything that might help out*
Feint: *Walks to where the rest are and watches them.*
Metal Man (GM): It's a cheapo door, of course it can be picked.
Dragoshi: *Gogolockpickattempt.*
Digifanatic: "Well, let us do wait for Deloth first..."
Digifanatic: *waits around, more interested in the military base.*
Metal Man (GM): The poor door lock falls apart easily after Dragoshi picks it.
Deloth: "There's gotta be a way to get up there..."
Metal Man (GM): Kamui, on the other hand, finds a pothole, and falls into it.
Deloth: "Maybe if I wall-kicked up the sides..."
Feint: *sighs and heads off toward the base.*
Metal Man (GM): Though it's only 3 feet deep. Barbed wire and a fence.
Kamui: "..." *Sighs* "I suck at searching." *he pulls himself out* "Guess I'll have to invest some time in training that."
Metal Man (GM): The front gate was apparently driven through, must have been by people fleeing.
Dragoshi: *Opens the door, and enters.*
Deloth: *Well, I don't want to discount something until I've checked it out fully...*
Aribar: "Hrm... A city of Sonic's world." *The elf paces around the intersection, looking at the ruined city.* "Even destroyed, I sort of expected more loop-de-loops and evil jumps."
Kamui: *Runs after Dragoshi* "Wait for me."
Feint: *looks over the base from outside the gate, looking for any cameras that are still working, etc..*
Metal Man (GM): Deloth finds nothing. Camera? Working? The base looks like a giant stomped on it. The checkpoint by the entrance is in a million pieces, surrounded by craters.
Feint: *Looks over his shoulder* "Anyone coming with?"
Metal Man (GM): Most importantly, a smallish building ahead. The door is open, and skeletons surround it. All were running away from it. Deloth finds an exposed pipe he could climb up inside the apartment with.
Alex Fender: *is already starting on into the base, guitar slung on his shoulder as he makes his way in...and toward said building.*
Deloth grabs that and starts shimmying up.
Metal Man (GM): As Alex walks towards the building he begins to smell the faint smell of sulfur and burnt stuff.
Dragoshi: *Decides to check another building and see if it's lock is as shoddy as this one's.*
Alex Fender: "...huh. ...oh well." *keeps on going, though his grip has shifted on his guitar slightly.*
Digifanatic: *follows Alex seen as how he's already going towards the base without waiting for the others.*
Metal Man (GM): They're old houses, so yes, they're all shoddy.
Feint: *Follows Alex.*
Dragoshi: *'K. More lockpicking it is, then.*
Metal Man (GM): Entering the front door of building A, the base people would see knocked over test tubes and weird liquid stains all over the floor. Dead scientists preserved with looks of horror on their faces thrown about like they were ragdolls.
Aribar blinks and quickly finds out that he's nearly alone... Splitting up is never good. Still, no use being left behind. He follows the others to the military base.*
Metal Man (GM): A strange smell of chemicals can be seen here, alongside some strange square footprints, often found on scientists, the ceiling, and even in doors.
Alex Fender: "Creeeepyyyyy..."
Feint: *takes out the dex again and scans the fluid.*
Metal Man (GM): Dragoshi lockpicks apartment 3's door. Deloth climbs up to the second floor of apartment 2. There's a small hallway. The room to the left is gone, having fallen through to the first floor.
Dragoshi: *He looks to see what is in Apartment 3.*
Digifanatic: "Oh man..."
Metal Man (GM): The sole remaining Floor 2 room in Building 2 is an old observatory. Which is also in shreds. Nothing left here but a bunch of debris.
Deloth heads through the hallway...
Metal Man (GM): Apartment 3 begins with another formerly bum-infested living room.
Kamui: *stays near Dragoshi, giving him breathing room though. He looks inside, blinking a few times* "Party started without us?"
Metal Man (GM): It is in worse condition than the first--the stairs, the second floor was levelled. There's a basement staircase of stone though. The floor squeaks and shakes horribly in the place Deloth is in.
Dragoshi: *Carefully descends down the stairs* "It started without us years ago."
Alex Fender: *looks around the room, looking for any doors or similar openings.*
Deloth winces, but keeps going. CAREFULLY.
Metal Man (GM): There's a door right back outside. Deloth walks three feet more, then one of his feet falls through the floor. Dragoshi walks on down the stairs. But the basement is dark.
Alex Fender: *shrugs and searches around for anything of interest..*
Kamui: *follows after* Well, I guess that would make us late. *He brings the gun around, aiming carefully checking corners.*
Aribar frowns as he enters the base with the others. The elf wrinkles his nose against the smell and looks about, trying not to get close to any chemical spills and using the sleeve of his shirt to block the stench.* "What a... gruesome scene.."
Dex: "These unknown chemicals are machine fluids and... some unidentified ones match cultures of some nanite-based lifeforms."
Deloth: "Dangit..." *tries to pull his foot out without making an even bigger hole.*
Metal Man (GM): Alex would find the torso of a robot of some kind on the floor. It is next to a scientist. A strange staff has been driven into its forehead.
Feint: Hmm... *checks some of the scientists for ID, or weapons.*
Dragoshi: *Sure, why not.*
Alex Fender: "Whoaaaa..."
Metal Man (GM): Dragoshi would light the match... only to see several dead people in the basement here.
Alex Fender: *looks the staff over, then pulls out his Dex and makes to scan it, as well as the robot torso.*
Aribar glances over at Fender, halfway expecting him to have tasted the spilled contents of the test tube.*
Dragoshi: "Oh my, it seems someone's been on a killing spree, lately."
Dex: "Unknown staff. Robot energy levels are low. The staff appears to have a strange energy signature."
Alex Fender: "Strange how?"
Metal Man (GM): Dragoshi also sees a strange robot where he is. Square head. Square torso. Two Rectangle slit eyes.
Kamui: *blinks, staring calmly as if this was scene before by his eyes, but still he shows some remorse for the number of dead in the room* "Wonder if what did this to them is still here."
Metal Man (GM): It is 'sleeping' in the corner. It is covered with a lot of dust.
Feint: *Also checking the scientists for any keys or keycards.*
Dragoshi: *Just slowly backs away and dexes the robot with the sound off.*
Metal Man (GM): Deloth gets out of the hole. But the floor is all holey past where he fell in. Dragoshi dexes the robot.
Alex Fender: "Like, whoo whoo strange or 'holy crap it's gonna kill me' strange?"
Aribar heads over to Alex.* "Hm.."
Deloth's Dex: "Unknown robot. Highly intelligent. It appears to have deduced the death of all life forms in this area. It is waiting for new lifeforms to eat. But it appears to be low on power..."
Dex: "The staff has an unknown energy signature. I do not know what the energy on the staff does, Alex."
Alex Fender: "Awww...well, it's cool lookin'! I'mma take it."
Deloth sighs... if the hallway's this tough to get past, something good MUST be on the other side... right?
Alex Fender: *reaches forward, gripping the staff and making to yank it out of the robot's head.*
Metal Man (GM): Alex takes it right out. ...Blue sparks fly.
Aribar takes a quick step back...*
Metal Man (GM): The robot torso you took it out of sparks to life.
Alex Fender: "IT LIVES..."
Metal Man (GM): Immediately, it growls and then floats up into the air. It has some strange jet pack device.
Aribar: "I do believe... That is a trademark 'bad thing'."
Feint: *Walks over to Alex and Aribar and stops as the robot gets up* "Whoa...good job Alex..."
Metal Man (GM): It then goes to attack!!!
Dragoshi: *And Dragoshi goes to pick the lock of the other locked apartment door.*
Alex Fender: "WHOA NELLY!"
Metal Man (GM): Battle for Alex, Aribar, Base people.
Deloth continues down the hall, careful to avoid the holes...
Metal Man (GM): Meanwhile, Dragoshi picks lock number 1.
Alex Fender: "IT'S GOD! AND HE'S A ROBOTIC KILLING MACHINE!!"
Dragoshi: *And, what's behind Door number 1? Is it a zonk? Is it a new car? Is it a fridge?*
Metal Man (GM): It's a burnt living room with skeletons for 9000!
Aribar curls his hand into a fist and electricity sparkles about it.* "This ought to be interesting."
Kamui: *sits there, then looks over to Dragoshi* Perhaps the others are having better luck then us.
Dragoshi: "Eh." *Checks the insides of this living room to see if there's anything of interest, making sure to, yanno, avoid waking up any nearby robots, if there are any.*
Metal Man (GM): Deloth precariously wanders into the observatory, where he finds nothing but debris. Dragoshi there are mostly burnt up skeletons and ruins where you are.
Dragoshi: *He looks for doorways and stairs.*
Metal Man (GM): The stairs are all ruined where you are, Dragoshi. Dragoshi would have to climb up the side of the building. Meanwhile, the Unknown Robot growls and lunges for Alex's throat. It rears back and slashes at him next.
Dragoshi: *Might as well. Don't see why not...*
Aribar continues charging up his electrical charge before rushing forward to tackle into the robot, hoping to short circuit it!*
Metal Man (GM): Dragoshi fails to climb the side of the building.
Dragoshi: *Continues trying, then. >_>*
Kamui: *blinks, scratching his neck* "Shall I try?"
Metal Man (GM): The robot hits Alex, then is zapped in the face by Thunderstruck. Meanwhile, Dragoshi continues to fail at climbing.
Kamui: *gives it a try.*
Alex Fender: *jumps back, flipping to his feet and drawing his guitar, stick in the other hand, but gets slashed longways by the robot* "YEOWCH!"
Metal Man (GM): Kamui fails at climbing as well.
Deloth crestfallenly searches the debris, just to make sure...
Kamui: "Yeah, this is going no where." *He says.*
Metal Man (GM): Deloth finds nothing but dust. People fled this place with all the valuables.
Kamui: *tries once more for trying sake.*
Metal Man (GM): This was merely a house. Though there is a patio... Kamui climbs up to the second floor. But the only window in is shut and barred.
Alex Fender: *growls and swings his guitar at the robot, making to bash it's robotic head in.*
Kamui: *makes it to the window, blinks then looks down* "The windows are barred here."
Deloth: "Man..."
Kamui: *looks at the barred window, then looks over to Dragoshi* "What now?"
Metal Man (GM): The robot is bashed in the head.
Deloth walks back to the hallway. Unfortunately, he doesn't remember to stay away from the holes this time.
Dragoshi: *"Stand back a little bit, if you could..."
Alex Fender: *WHAMITH!*
Metal Man (GM): Deloth falls through the floor and crashes into the living room, taking damage.
Deloth: "Well, that was a waste of tiiIIIIIIIIII--" *THUD.*
Metal Man (GM): Deloth is in the living room.
Kamui: *Nods his head, as he moves out of the way.*
Dragoshi: "Thank you." *Spews acid at the window. >_>*
Deloth: *Picks himself up and checks for any broken teeth, then heads out via window express.*
Metal Man (GM): Deloth heads on out. He sees Kamui and Dragoshi on building 1. He also sees people fighting in the military base. The window in building 1 melts, revealing a bedroom full of moth-eaten clothes and ruined books. The sparks and loud noises supplement Deloth's otherwise normal vision.
Feint: *jumps at the robot with a growl and tries to slice it up.*
Metal Man (GM): Dragoshi complementarily picked the lock of that one.
Alex Fender: *lets out a yell, not able to do any of his smashes with the stick in his hand, but he's unwilling to give it up, shoving it in his pocket as he makes to wind up and smash the robot hard with Smash Attack.*
Metal Man (GM): No robots in that bedroom, it looks abandoned.
Dragoshi: *Carefully enters that thar room.*
Metal Man (GM): The robot attempts to counter Alex's smash attacks by leaping at his throat.
Kamui: *Blinks, then looks back to Dragoshi* "Guess your momma never said 'spitting's not nice.'" *He says with a smirk.*
Alex Fender: *DENIED!*
Alex Fender: *OR NOT!*
Metal Man (GM): It succeeds, pinning him to the ground during his first move and biting him in the neck. The second move, however, he tries to slash back at... And fails. Alex hits with his second move.
Deloth runs over to the military base to assist.
Metal Man (GM): Dragoshi enters the ruined bedroom. Another locked door blocks the way into a larger hallway.
Dragoshi: "Nah. She wasn't really a prominent figure in my life when it came to those kinds of subjects."
Metal Man (GM): Deloth shall join the battle soon.
Dragoshi: *He looks for books of interest.*
Kamui: *Moves over inside the room, taking his gun out again looking like one of those resident evil people checking a room.*
Metal Man (GM): No books, Dragoshi. Unless you think 'Go Dog Go' is an interesting book.
Dragoshi: *It isn't. :p In any case, he checks out how well-made the lock is.*
Metal Man (GM): The Unknown robot quits while it is ahead. It's an in-house lock, so technically Dragoshi can just turn the doorknob to open it, as it's intended to be locked by people on this side by only pressing a button.
Aribar conjures up some nice windblades to unleash a whirl of pain upon the robot! Ahead it is no more!*
Metal Man (GM): It flies out of the way.
Aribar quits while he has two arms. Oh, wait...*
Metal Man (GM): Deloth arrives in the battle. He would see the torso robot, and the damage it's done already to poor Alex. Interesting.
Kamui: *looks towards the door, blinking a few times. A locked door openable from their side? Someone must of been either trying to keep something out, either foe, or friendly* "Dragoshi?"
Metal Man (GM): It's this tough even though there's a giant hole in its head and the lower part of its body is missing. Wonder what a complete one fights like.
Dragoshi: *Decides to search for anything of interest in the bedroom* "Hm?"
Deloth: "...Man. Takes a licking, keeps on ticking, huh?"
Metal Man (GM): Dragoshi finds nothing.
Kamui: -_- "Um, nevermind. Maybe we should find someone who's better then us at searching."
Dragoshi: "Yep." >_>;;
Metal Man (GM): The staff ol' Alex took is still glowing.
Dragoshi: "Or maybe we should make one last attempt that combines our efforts and hope we luck out?" >_>
Kamui: *Nods his head* Lemme try one more time.
Deloth: *Okay, sorry. Now then... Fira!*
Metal Man (GM): Kamui succeeds in finding a broken pistol attached to a dead man's hand. Fira hits. The machine's head throws sparks.
Kamui: *looks the broken pistol over* "... Well, safe to say they tried fighting back."
Dragoshi: "Yep..."
Metal Man (GM): The robot's right arm flies off. It is still alive. It consists of a left arm, a torso, and a head with a big hole in it.
Kamui: "Should we take the gun?"
Metal Man (GM): And whoever was here previously must have died simply stabbing it in the head.
Aribar: "Why is it still alive?!"
Dragoshi: "Nah. I doubt that it's anything special."
Feint: "It's a robot! Maybe that's not where its brains are?"
Kamui: *Shrugs his shoulders, keeping his own gun in hand hoping it would at least be some help after seeing the dead man's hand gripping the gun.*
Dragoshi: "Though, if you feel like taking it, sure why not."
Metal Man (GM): The Unknown robot throws sparks. In desperation it tries to shock Alex with its arm socket. And then again.
Kamui: "Might be a good idea..." *he brings a hand around, picking the gun up slowly* "Might be of some use as to figure out what happened, or what attacked..." *he looked the gun over to see exactly HOW it was broken.*
Metal Man (GM): Hit. But does the second one hit? The gun was broken from a misfired bullet. The second zap misses.
Dragoshi: *Dragoshi would then carefully approach the door to see if it's locked or not...*
Alex Fender: *grahs and leaps backwards, out of the way of the zap* "C'mon! Go after someone else!" *he swings his guitar into playing position and blasts out the soft twanging strings that still generate enough sound to fire off a ball of it.* "CLICK CLICK BOOM!"
Metal Man (GM): It's only locked to people on the other side. Dragoshi can open it easily from this side.
Feint: *Charges at the robot and punches a glowing fist into its gut, trying to send it into the ceiling* "Antimatter Thrust!"
Metal Man (GM): Click click, miss.
Kamui: "... Misfired bullet." *he places the thing away in his inventory, and follows after Dragoshi.*
Metal Man (GM): Feint hits.
Feint: *jumps after it, fist glowing again* "And once more!"
Metal Man (GM): Hit. Its other arm flies off.
Dragoshi: *Looks under the door to see (though a small distance away from it) if there's anything in the other side.*
Metal Man (GM): It is still ready to attack. Dragoshi would see there is a hallway, and then an abandoned wreck of a storage room.
Dragoshi: *Carefully opens the door, Dark Sword at the ready, motioning for Kamui to ready his pistol, just in case.*
Kamui: *nods, bringing his own gun up in both hands, motioning he was right behind him.*
Metal Man (GM): Nothing much else past the door.
Aribar takes a few steps back and then rushes towards the robot, leaping up and giving it a flying kick... Which is sorta hard for just a torsobot. He then kicks the robot while it's down.
Dragoshi: *Okay, so he checks to see there's nothing in the hallway that's seen after the door's opened.*
Metal Man (GM): Hit hit miss. Dragoshi would see there is nothing else there.
Dragoshi: *'K. Dragoshi would then carefully move through the hallway, and into the storage room to get a better look.*
Kamui: *follows after Dragoshi.*
Metal Man (GM): The torso of the robot is cracked open and basically in shreds. But it still fights! Dragoshi finds nothing.
Dragoshi: *Searches again, just in case...*
Metal Man (GM): The Unknown Robot attempts to desperately ram Aribar. Dragoshi finds the smallest scrap of evidence...
Aribar tries to step over the Robot.*
Metal Man (GM): A note. 'We should have never explored that science.' Aribar is hit. The robot careens at Alex.
Aribar: "Gah! Painful bloody thing!"
Dragoshi: *Looks at the note.* "Huh..."
Metal Man (GM): Nothing else in the storage, which was thoroughly wrecked.
Dragoshi: *Would proceed to leave, then.*
Kamui: *looks at the note, blinking* "... It's a start, but not really anything incriminating."
Dragoshi: *Exits the building, and would proceed to see which other viable directions there would be to go in.*
Metal Man (GM): Doo doo doo. Alex is hit. Dragoshi remembers living city area is to the West... and... uhhh... he's probably also interested in the Desert wasteland to the East.
Deloth starts charging a Wing Slam...
Feint: *starts charging up a blade beam.*
Metal Man (GM): South is the base.
Alex Fender: *growls and brings his guitar in a big, massive sort of smash down on the top of the robot's head* "HEAD ON COLLISION, BITCH!"
Deloth reels back and Wing Smashes this bastiche!
Metal Man (GM): Miss.
Kamui: "Where we going next?"
Dragoshi: *And, Dragoshi decides to check out the base.*
Metal Man (GM): Meanwhile, Dragoshi is on course to wander to... Hit, Deloth.
Aribar just keeps unleashing Storms of Blades until it dies! Evil little bugger!*
Metal Man (GM): It is hit. The body is exploded, leaving only the head. Aribar is also hit by that Storm of Blades.
Aribar: "Gah!"
Metal Man (GM): It is still barely alive. Barely barely barely. And Kamui follows Dragoshi.
Alex Fender: "C'mon! Why won't this damn thing die already?!"
Metal Man (GM): Hit. *BOOM!* It dies a fiery death.
Alex Fender: "Why the hell is one fricken robot TORSO so hard to kill???"
Feint: *Whips sword around and sheaths it, making it disappear* "Because it's made of metal."
Alex Fender: *grunts and sheathes his guitar away.*
Kamui: *watches the bot die a fiery death* "Damn."
Dragoshi: *And, Dragoshi would pop up. Yayz.* "Huh."
Metal Man (GM): The robot drops something very interesting on the ground. A circuit board with... a serial number. The door out is also readily apparent... there's at least three more buildings to enter. Goodie.
Kamui: *walks over, and looks down at the circuit board. He reaches down, picking it up carefully.*
Metal Man (GM): It looks like an important mission item.
Dragoshi: *Looks at the serial number on that precious thing.*
Kamui: *looks the piece of circuitry over, then hands it Dragoshi* "Here ya go."
Dragoshi: *Carefully takes it, and reads the serial number.*
Feint: "Well, we've got a whole base to cover to find these parts, should get moving."
Alex Fender: "I wonder what this does, then?" *holds up the staff.*
Metal Man (GM): 4927-291201. It's not important.
Dragoshi: *'K. I'll just put it away then.*
Deloth: "So... what now?"
Feint: "Building B, of course."
Kamui: "Check the remaining buildings, I guess."
Metal Man (GM): Building B' s front door is locked solid.
Dragoshi: "...Well, could you tell me what the heck you guys were dealing with first, though?"
Metal Man (GM): It's made of steel and has hairline cracks in it.
Feint: "Most of a robot."
Deloth: "Hmm..."
Alex Fender: "Ooo..."
Dragoshi: "Ah. What'd it look like?"
Deloth: "I have an idea for that next door."
Feint: "Just a generic robot I guess, had a stick in its head when we found it. Alex ripped it out and all hell broke loose."
Alex Fender: "Hey, this is a pretty cool stick!"
Feint: "Like a giant glow rod."
Deloth forms a Fira and starts heating the Building B door with it. Hopefully, the heat'll stress those cracks and turn the whole door to a pile of metal shards.
Metal Man (GM): Deloth causes the cracked door to break apart. Revealing... ...another ruined room, but this time there is a functional computer inside, and no robots. The cracks were caused from the outside. The computer has a video message on it.
Deloth heads over to said computer.
Metal Man (GM): It suddenly begins playing.
Feint: *Enters the new room.*
Dragoshi: *Also enters.*
Scientist: "This is... the last surviving scientist of the Eclipse Project."
Alex Fender: *walks in.*
Scientist: "We... planned to make a machine with the power of nanites and sentience of Project Shadow... and we succeeded."
Metal Man (GM): It shows killer robots destroying buildings, forming a perimeter, and killing people with fire everywhere.
Deloth: "Nanites... that reminds me, I came up with an idea for an assassination weapon yesterday."
Scientist: "Upon discovering we intended to use them as slaves, they attacked... with their superior capabilities, we were swamped. Now only I survive... but I will not live long. The air in this bunker is short... and I am bleeding."
Metal Man (GM): He gasps, still speaking.
Kamui: *Walks on over to the door.*
Scientist: "We created a weapon capable of injuring them, but it was lost in a desperate battle..."
Metal Man (GM): It shows the rod Alex took out of the robot.
Scientist: "It can deactivate them if it is used to stab them in the head."
Feint: "But only once apparently..."
Scientist: "Of course, once taken out, the robot re-awakens. We had no time to fix this defect."
Alex Fender: "...huh."
Dragoshi: "Well...I found a robot in one of the previous buildings...It's asleep, though."
Scientist: "However... I suspect it is not just our project which went wrong. In fact... something far worse went wrong."
Metal Man (GM): You see another video in the background. It is... much, much worse. For it shows... THE VOID.
Alex Fender: "...what's that dildo looking thing in the background?"
Deloth: "...WHAAAAAT?!"
Scientist: "This thing... arose spontaneously... .and ripped to shreds the other place. Perhaps... his curse continued on and infiltrated our robots, too."
Dragoshi: "...That's-...What the fuck, Alex?"
Feint: "What is that thing?"
Dragoshi: "In any case, that's The Void."
Scientist: "Gerald Robotnik had told us he would kill us all for trying to reverse engineer his works... we laughed at it..."
Alex Fender: "What? He looks like a big, fuzzy black dil--you mean that thing you killed and made the whole world go all happy?"
Dragoshi: "One of our most powerful foes. We destroyed him about 5 years back, though."
Metal Man (GM): The image of Gerald Robotnik on other computers is shown.
Dragoshi: "Yes, Alex."
Deloth just stands there, trying to get his brain out of General Protection Fault...
Feint: "So those must be older than that, right?"
Scientist: "His face appeared alongside this computer-and-person destroying abomination... despite the fact he was executed and his body cremated. We thought it was an isolated occurrence, but then more things turned against us. This entire area has now been cursed. If you are watching this, then you must be either very lucky, or very strong. Whatever the case..."
Dragoshi: "Idiots...Guess they didn't know about the whole reality-bending properties of 'im..."
Deloth opens his Dex and tries to contact home base...
Scientist: "Leave this area if you value you... lives..." *Cough* *Cough.*
Metal Man (GM): You hear evil laughing in the background.
Scientist: "Oh... no... The dark being must be back... this wa...s... his plan..."
Kamui: *brings his gun up, holding it in both hands pointing it up towards the ceiling* "..."
Scientist: "Find... th... circu... bo...ad...s.."
Metal Man (GM): *Slump.* The video continues running. Gerald Robotnik's face somehow appears on the computer, laughing. Thankfully, this is a recording of it, so you are not seeing a modern one...
Gerald Robotnik: "Ha ha ha ha! My body may be gone, but my spirit will haunt you forever! Me and The Void will destroy you pathetic beings! Death to all! You took my world away... now I shall take yours!" It fades into static.
Metal Man (GM): The dex adds its own two cents to it.
Dex: "This realm must have been destroyed shortly after that recording. But, thanks to you, this realm is alive again. The Void and Gerald being dead... you should still probably beware of killer robots."
Kamui: "Question is, is that really a good thing right now."
Deloth: "So in other words, we have some bad news... and some really bad news."
Dex: "This looks to be a good history lesson, though. As we previously had no clue when The Void first appeared."
Deloth: "Well... we have what we came for, anyways."
Dragoshi: "No we don't."
Dex: "Not exactly. One circuit board is okay. But three would be best."
Deloth: "Oh, right, other parts..."
Feint: "Yeah."
Kamui: "This just keeps getting better and betters."
Alex Fender: "Well, that's easy. We go find some more 'bots, shove this stick in their heads, break 'em open, get the boards, and get."
Dragoshi: "Think we could take the other parts of 'em for research as well?"
Feint: "That...actually sounds like a doable plan."
Deloth: "Sounds good, Drago."
Kamui: "You know in this entire mission so far, I haven't fired off a single round. Maybe I'm setting a record."
Metal Man (GM): Building C can be investigated. Or perhaps D.
Feint: *scours this room.*
Deloth: "Lemme look this place over once."
Deloth starts searching...
Metal Man (GM): Feint finds nothing. Deloth finds a discarded test tube full of oil. Probably a lubricant for a machine.
Dragoshi: *Assists Deloth.*
Metal Man (GM): Dragoshi, then, assists Deloth in finding that tube. Kamui finds nothing.
Deloth: "Ooooh." *pockets that and sweeps the room one more time.*
Metal Man (GM): Deloth 'sweeps' the room, finding out the sum total: Of interest, a single grenade. Explosive kind. Mint condition. Nothing else. Except debris.
Alex Fender: *looks about as well..*
Deloth grabs that too and heads for building C.
Metal Man (GM): More debris.
Dragoshi: *Follows Del.*
Kamui: *turns and heads out, heading after Deloth.*
Feint: "Onward."
Alex Fender: *shrugs and follows.*
Metal Man (GM): Building C. Locked normally. Ominous bouncing around heard inside.
Deloth: "Alex, get that staff ready..."
Deloth knocks on the door cautiously.
Alex Fender: "I'll staff 'em good!"
Metal Man (GM): The group hears a deep-throated metallic growl.
Alex Fender: *draws it out, holding it like he would his guitar.*
Feint: *stands to the side of the door, in case of bullets.*
Kamui: *Brings his gun up, aiming at the door and stands to the side, just in case.*
Deloth: "It's the Fuller brush man!"
Deloth ducks aside, 'cause EVERYONE hates the Fuller brush man, dude.
Metal Man (GM): The growling noise can't seem to open the door. Hence the bouncing noises. Metal on metal scratching.
Deloth reaches over and opens the door.
Metal Man (GM): The door is locked.
Alex Fender: *gives the staff a few test jabs...*
Dragoshi: *Has the Dark Sword readied, just in case. Though, he's standing aside. Whee.*
Metal Man (GM): The staff glows blue with each jab. Apparently, EMP energy. But more powerful... but limited in range.
Feint: *tries to kick down the door.*
Deloth: "Alex, get ready!"
Alex Fender: "I'LL STAFF YOU GOOD!!"
Metal Man (GM): *KICK!!!* The door flies open... ...and a fully leg-possessing robot stomps out, looking to strangle and kill people! It is more nimble than the other one. A little more. It barely leaps out of the way of Alex's attack, then goes to chew on Feint's face.
Deloth: "Try it again, Alex!"
Alex Fender: "STAFF AGAIN! BOO-YA!" *stab!*
Metal Man (GM): It is countered. It is stabbed in the head by Alex while stunned. It stops in its tracks... like a statue. The staff is stuck in its forehead.
Deloth: "Now, let's take this thing apart."
Kamui: *brings his gun around, aiming a pop shot off at the robot aiming at the joints between the head and body.*
Alex Fender: "OHHHHHHHHHH YEAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!! I THRUSTED YOU GOOD!"
Dragoshi: *And, while the robot's busy, Dragoshi suddenly pops out and suddenly uses the dark sword in an attempt to pry it's chest open...After Kamui shoots it.
Metal Man (GM): The head joint is damaged. But not enough to knock it off. That's one of the strongest points on it.
Feint: "Damn, we're badass."
Alex Fender: *makes to drive the staff a tad deeper so it doesn't pop off.*
Metal Man (GM): It is thoroughly jammed.
Dex: "The circuit board is attached to the back. A good prying should get it. At least, now that it is stunned. When it is active, the back continually regenerates."
Feint: "Will removing the circuit board stop the thing from working?"
Dex: "Yes."
Deloth just sticks his fingers under the board and starts prying.
Dex: "It relays commands to all parts of the body. The head can only persist without it if it is separated while the machine is active."
Dragoshi: "I see." *Moves over to the back, and makes to prying it off with his claws, in order to help Del.*
Metal Man (GM): The board and back come flying open. Convenient.
Kamui: *brings the gun down some, but still in his hands as he readies himself for anything.*
Dragoshi: *And, while someone that isn't Dragoshi picks up the board, Dragoshi tries to see if there's a way to chop the head off without, yanno, knocking the rod loose.
Metal Man (GM): Dragoshi winds up picking up the board. The head does not need to be removed; it is paralyzed due to the shock of the board being removed. Dragoshi would only have to worry if someone removed the head, then the board.
Kamui: *walks over, looking the robot over carefully*
Metal Man (GM): That leaves... Building D. Building D has a nice giant safe lock on the front. A sign says 'CONFIDENTIAL: NO UNAUTHORIZED ENTRY'
Alex Fender: *yanks the rod out, giving the robot a swift kick before he heads on to the final building.*
Metal Man (GM): The safe lock is the combination turn-style thingy, with numbers 1-100 on it. The body falls over like a statue.
Dragoshi: *He thinks about placing a warp beacon on the robot. Then realizes it could reactivate... ...he'll just lug around the lifeless robot corpse, then. >_>*
Metal Man (GM): But even a random bump could possibly spur it to life. I don't know. It might be fun to find out.
Kamui: "Come on Dragoshi, just leave it and let's go." *he walks on after the others.*
Metal Man (GM): So then. Steel vault door, 1-100 numbers on a twisty dial.
Alex Fender: "I wanna stab something again!!"
Metal Man (GM): The group only needs one more circuit board to ace the mission.
Alex Fender: *stabs the vault door, just for kicks.*
Metal Man (GM): Of course, there's more than one way to get it...
Dragoshi: "...I remember there being another one of these robots in one of the buildings before the base. Though, if you feel like checking out the vault first, then whatever." :/
Metal Man (GM): The staff, freakishly, goes through the vault. Alex trips off a lever inside it. The door pops open.
Alex Fender: "...DUDE! I ROCK!"
Dragoshi: "...Nice one, Alex."
Metal Man (GM): Revealing a very interesting sight... ...They were making a very large robot in here. This one has a crown and a staff.
Dragoshi: *Walks over to the side of the vault and looks at the GIANT ROBOT INSTEAD OF ARMS.*
Metal Man (GM): It sits on a chair, restrained. Never activated, either. Computers around it note that it, unlike all the other robots, does not seem to be corrupted.
Kamui: o_o "Um, ok."
Metal Man (GM): It is at 100% nominal form. A button sits on standby, waiting for somebody to activate it. About 20 feet tall. There's a second floor with an observation scaffolding of sorts. It can be reached from there.
Alex Fender: "I'mma go stab it in the head!"
Metal Man (GM): It is of more impressive construction than all the others.
Alex Fender: *looks for some stairs.*
Kamui: "Hold on, let's not jump to that yet."
Metal Man (GM): Alex finds a functional ladder, which goes straight on up.
Feint: "Hold on the head stabbing for a minute."
Alex Fender: *doesn't listen right away, heading up the ladder.*
Feint: "The computer says its...er...'lifesigns' are normal. Maybe it's peaceful?"
Metal Man (GM): Alex heads up it with no problem.
Kamui: *brings the gun up and fires off a shot in Alex's direction, but intentionally missing to get his attention.*
Metal Man (GM): Alex is at its head now. The bullet is fired, missing Alex.
Alex Fender: "GRAH! What?!"
Kamui: "We said wait. This robot isn't infected, perhaps this thing isn't going to attack."
Alex Fender: "...but...but the face stabbing!"
Metal Man (GM): The group can access the computers for more information.
Kamui: "If it turns out to be evil, then you can face stab it all you want." *he walks over to the computer to take a look.*
Feint: *watches of Kamui's shoulder.*
Dragoshi: "Yes, but it was made during the time of The Void's reign of annihilation on this place, so...Yea."
Kamui: "Uh, I suck at this. Anyone good at computers?"
Dragoshi: *Walks over to Kamui* "Let me try it."
Feint: "Not me."
Metal Man: "Please press any key to continue." Kamui cannot find the any key.
Metal Man (GM): Neither can Feint. Dragoshi accesses the data. Interesting, these robots have a name!
Dragoshi: *Names being?*
Feint: "Hopefully something normal..."
Metal Man (GM): 'King Strider Unit.'
Dragoshi: "King Striders..." *He looks up their capabilities.*
Metal Man (GM): 'Ruler of the Strider units, made to keep them in order. We built this for a theoretical robot army us, GUN, would use to police the world. However, before we could test it, a strange extra-dimensional being destroyed Test Site Alpha. We were not allowed to activate the robot. It sits until we can get permission to activate it.' This is dated a while ago, even a bit before the killer robot attack in the other video.
Feint: "Well, I think we can assume any permission givers are long gone. Should we activate it?"
Dragoshi: "Peculiar." *He looks up more info.* "No."
Metal Man (GM): You see its capabilities are...
*Controlling Strider Units.
*Spontaneous regeneration.
*Creating more Strider Units.
*Ability to learn.
*Above human intelligence.
*Extreme Combat prowess.
*Immunity to EMP.
Metal Man (GM): And that rounds out the list.
Alex Fender: "...can I stab it's head already???"
Dragoshi: *He looks for more info!*
Kamui: *looks at the list* "I don't know if it'll even work with what this thing says."
Metal Man (GM): No other info. The group is lucky this place has any power--the killer robots must have specifically destroyed this sector and deactivated it all.
Feint: *could we take its 'brain' back with us? might be useful for research or something."
Metal Man (GM): If Feint could lug a very heavy, car-like head around with him, and successfully detach it from the body, to which it appears to be heavily bolted and welded onto. The group could activate it, too. It is deemed 'Loyal to GUN' and 'Uninfected' by the automated virus scanners.
Dragoshi: *...How up-to-date are those virus scanners, anyway? >_>*
Metal Man (GM): That, and its incredible intelligence, gives you a 50-50 between it asking what's going on and/or deciding to kill you and try to take over the universe. :p
Feint: "Any chance the scanners are infected?"
Metal Man (GM): About as up to date as they can get for not having any help to work in about 10 years.
Kamui: *brings a hand around, pushing the button all DeeDee like.*
Dex: "Negative. The scanners respond to all tests positively."
Metal Man (GM): Kamui presses it.
Feint: *watches giant robot.*
Dragoshi: *Facepalms.*
Alex Fender: "...can I stab it now???"
Metal Man (GM): The Robot activates. It leans on its staff, and looks at the group.
Feint: "No!"
Alex Fender: "What are you guys DOING down' there??"
King Strider: "Who hath awakenth me from mine sleep?"
Kamui: *Brings a hand around* "My bad."
Dragoshi: "We have."
King Strider: "What hath you in mind for me? I believe my creators have perished. I do not know... how..."
Dragoshi: "They perished to an infernal extradimensional entity known only as 'The Void.'"
King Strider: "What of my subjects? They display erratic responses!"
Dragoshi: "They've been corrupted."
Feint: "Corrupted."
Alex Fender: "And attacking us!"
Dragoshi: "Mhm."
King Strider: "..." He stands up, hunching low so he doesn't harm the ceiling. "Then I shall un-corrupt them. For they are mine to control, for my creators."
Alex Fender: "You can do that?"
Kamui: *makes sure he is out of King Strider's way.*
King Strider: "I am their King. I know alone the codes required to reformat their minds. Behold."
Alex Fender: *is standing up on the scaffolding area, while everyone else is wayyyyy down there.*
Metal Man (GM): He raises his staff. It glows. Then you hear a beep.
Dragoshi: "No! You don't know what kind of vile corruption you're dealing with! This probably goes beyond coding!"
King Strider: "They are now reformatted. The corruption... it was very old. Whatever created it has died."
Dragoshi: "...Oh. ...I was worried for nothing, then. Sorry about that."
King Strider: "You would be correct... if the person who created it had not died."
Alex Fender: "...ROBOT GOD!"
Dragoshi: "Yea...Well, we did kill him about five years back."
Alex Fender: "EATER OF BOLTS, DESTROYER OF BAD MATH PROBLEMS!!!"
King Strider: "So... you have come here, having saved me from the evil of this person, and informing me of a problem. What can I do to repay you?"
Alex Fender: *is bowing profusely.*
King Strider: "My creators may be dead, but they would like anyone who would try to aid their efforts such as you to be paid."
Dragoshi: "...Simple. We need some more of those circuit boards your robots use...And, if you could...Your assistance against another evil."
Alex Fender: "A really, big, nasty, evilish evil!"
King Strider: "Hm. I shall forgive your stealing of those from some... understandably feral subjects. I shall grant you... one more."
Metal Man (GM): He swings his staff. It spits out a glob of metal. Which forms another board.
Dragoshi: "Thank you." *Takes that one.*
King Strider: "I detect... a command was used to restrain us to a small circular area. I shall clean up this area, then. You may then return in... fifteen days... and I shall be able to help you."
Feint: "Wow, neat trick."
King Strider: "I shall be able to sell more useful items to you. My creators would like that as well."
Alex Fender: "Hey, uh, Robot God!"
King Strider: "Yes?"
Alex Fender: "Just a heads up! Now that you're on and all powerful and stuff now, there might be this guy that might come after you."
King Strider: "Who would attempt to make a sequel to the foul deeds of a madman and an abomination?"
Alex Fender: "He's name is Ganondorf. He's all evil and wants to hurt people and stuff. He's probably gonna try to corrupt you like that old evil guy did!" *shoves his hand in his pocket and yanks out his Dex, pulling up a picture of Ganondorf and showing it to the robot* "This guy!"
King Strider: "I have made a vaccination against it. Should he come here, I shall simply pretend to be controlled by the old virus. That should be enough to convince him that I would be best left alone. For my powers may not exceed his in scope, but in this area, they protect something I can neither give to you nor him. I was not activated for they feared I would be corrupted. Their fears were true, for the corruption was sentient, propagated by unknown magical means."
Alex Fender: "Right on! Rock out, Robot God!"
King Strider: "But because they sealed me off, I survived, and now know how it works. And thus, can protect my subjects. ..." He looks down at you, as if he smelled something. "This Ganondorf plots to attack you with an artifact, does he not? And... there is an extra-dimensional realm?"
Alex Fender: "Uh, yeah! This evil book thing!'"
Dragoshi: "Yes..."
Alex Fender: "We're trying to build some device doo-dad to stop him, though!"
Dragoshi: "The Dark Prognosticus is the book's name."
King Strider: "Godspeed. I estimate this book to be one of several fragments of the dark abomination's last work."
Alex Fender: "Damn, you rock, Robot God!" *throws up the devil horns.*
Dragoshi: *Glances at the Dark Sword* "I see. Interesting."
King Strider: "I also estimate he shall come for you now that you have awakened me and this device shall be made. I shall warn you of one thing."
Dragoshi: "Would you have any ideas about the others, or do you just know that there are several fragme-Hmm?"
Metal Man (GM): He chuckles, bringing up an image of The Void.
King Strider: "Your device is one of this being's things. It shall be... old evil against new."
Dragoshi: "So...In retrospect, it shall be fire against fire."
King Strider: "You may need to do other things. I cannot compute, except..."
Metal Man (GM): He brings up an image of Grodus.
King Strider: "Beware the Idiot of Metallic substances."
Dragoshi: "...Well, Grodus is in prison, but if you say so..."
King Strider: "That is all I can compute. I shall rebuild this area. And put a memorial to those who have died. If you want a challenge, come back again; for there is a machine I cannot reformat, deep inside a bunker. Once I clear the debris purposely put atop it, you can subdue it, and keep whatever strange devices make it tick. For that which I cannot control is useless to me."
Dragoshi: "I might as well tell the boss to tighten whatever restraints we're using on the guy...Or add more...Or both. Also, understood."
King Strider: "Beware of these things and more. Now I shall do the courtesy of getting you a warp home."
Metal Man (GM): He spins a hand, and a warp to HQ appears.
Alex Fender: "You're a pretty cool dude, Robot God!"
King Strider: "I was made to serve. And in serving my own glory can then be remembered."
Dragoshi: "Thank you, sir. I wish you good luck in your future endeavors" *Bows to King Strider, and would proceed to enter the warp.*
King Strider: "You have been short on allies since five years ago. Treasure my acquaintance, then."
Feint: *Salutes and turns into the warp.*
Alex Fender: "We need to get you a guitar! So you can rock out hard! Talk about heavy metal!" *dives off the second floor balcony thing and into the warp* "POCAHANTAS!"
King Strider: "Perhaps... another time. For I must do this." He begins cleaning up... ...the massive mess in the area.
Metal Man (GM): King Strider is shown a few hours later, having fixed up the place. His robots salute him. No longer feral, the area is now fixed up. Some mobians and humans have even begun moving back in, burying the bodies of loved ones who died. Apparently, they had fled the place after the chaos. Meanwhile, a single building, charred pitch black with The Void's first deeds, sits there, untouched. Even King Strider refuses to touch it; it is so thoroughly cursed that it has been walled off entirely. Yet... all the way in a faraway Area 51 prison, the 'Dark Master' stares at the building through some sort of weak scrying magic he has managed to do. He speaks to himself.
Dark Master: "The book may have been enslaved... but the fool doesn't know. Its will was simply transferred to me. I shall pick up the mantle of The Void and overturn the traitor once and for all!"
Metal Man (GM): He walks INTO the portal... vanishing! ...But that is not all. Meanwhile, Ganondorf is on his way to Nintendus, with his book. He has an even worse look on his face.
Ganondorf: "With this book, I shall settle it once and for all."
Metal Man (GM): He walks by, idly, through space and time itself. He smirks as he passes up the ruins of Kuja's old frozen-in-time castle, the frozen-in-time satellite's wreckage, and some various sub-dimensions.
Ganondorf: "The Dark Prognosticus predicts that the Man of Power will eclipse the Moon, destroying all and making the world true again. So it shall be!" He glows with power, as he appears in Saturn Valley!
Metal Man (GM): Mission completed.
