Date: November 10th, 2008.
Metal Man (GM): The group is still in the office, with David Hale, Marley, an Echidna, and Jack, who's about to leave with Deloth. Deloth, who appears interested in heading to an empty island to the South named 'Christmas Island.'
Deloth: "Please... I have to leave..."
Jack: "So, Deloth, you want to head down to that empty island, right?"
Aribar: "You should at least have a radio or something that we can use to contact you with... Just in case something happens."
Dragoshi: *Nods.*
Deloth sighs. "Yeah... I guess..."
Jack: "Well, you could all go there too. I mean. It may be safe, but that doesn't mean there's nothing there."
Deloth: "I really, really just want to be alone for a while."
Aribar shrugs. "That sounds fine to me, Deloth... We did just save a continent from someone who was essentially a dictator."
Dragoshi: "That we did..."
Deloth: "So. When will the boat be ready?"
Jack: "Well, it's been ready, really. I haven't had anything else to do. We can all go to the island... it's nice and empty, and large enough we could all be alone and still be on the same island."
Deloth nods and walks for the elevator. "Guys... thanks."
Jack: "There's some ruins on the mainland I want to explore. You can probably hang out in the large hill area. Nobody goes there..."
Metal Man (GM): Keikyoku walks out of the elevator.
Keikyoku: "I wanna visit a blacksmith."
David Hale: "Gah! Er... GUN doesn't have blacksmiths."
Echidna: "Most of our smitheries were torched by Borne..."
Jack: "I'm sure there might be something on that island?"
Aribar: "That actually reminds me..."
Deloth continues heading out of the building and to the boat. Wherever it is.
Aribar: "Does GUN happen to deal with magic of any sort? Alternatively, are there any rumors of magic artifacts on this Island?"
Keikyoku walks back onto the elevator, "Then let's go."
David Hale: "Uh... no... we don't know."
Jack: "I know about artifacts. Come with me." He goes onto the elevator with Keikyoku. Deloth is ahead.
Marley: "I'll stay here. Me and David and the Echidna guy can deal with the... political situation."
Deloth: *...Well, so much for being alone on the island.*
Aribar starts to go after Jack, but comes to a stop when he realizes that he doesn't know if they were dismissed or not... "Hm... Things are finished up here then? There is nothing more that needs to be discussed?"
Echidna: "Nothing that needs your input..."
David Hale: "We know the situation, pretty much... it's probably better you keep that badge. We don't want to accidentally release some terror Borne's father or Eggman have sealed there."
Aribar uneasily nods. He says his goodbyes and, at the expense of Deloth's happiness, heads after Jack.
Metal Man (GM): The Questers make their way to the boat, which is in the coastal zone. All of them... to Deloth's dismay.
Jack: "So, we'll be heading for the island. You all ready?"
Deloth: "...I THOUGHT I said I wanted to be alone."
Dragoshi: *Is apparently the only one that respect's Del's request.* :/
Deloth turns to the others, glaring daggers. "Are you REALLY that hard of hearing?"
Keikyoku glares shuriken.
Aribar: "Apologies, Deloth, but Jack said that there may be artifacts and magic items on the island... I would like to take this oppertunity to try and find them, if possible. I'll try to stay as far away as possible." *The half-elf realizes how selfish his statement is and can't quite bring himself to look at Deloth.*
Jack: "The island is quite large. You can be on one corner and nowhere near us. Additionally, I wouldn't go to the island if I didn't have a purpose..." He smirks. "I'm not one for charity. And there's nobody left in this post-apocalyptic mess who could take you if I didn't go. I understand your feelings... but while we're on the same page, there's some ancient stuff there I wouldn't mind looking at, before we leave."
Deloth: "Fine. We leave. YOU two--" *jabs a finger at Ari and Kei.* "--stay here."
Keikyoku: "I wonder if there's any echidna stuff there."
Jack: "I'm afraid this boat is mine, amigo." He smirks. "Marley will be too busy to use it, and he gave me permission. I would like to have research... assistants with me. There's a perfectly barren hill area which you can be far, far away from us in on that island, too."
Deloth: "I'll see if I can find you something." *steps onto the boat.*
Aribar mutters an agreement to Deloth and steps back from the boat.*
Jack: *Walks in, motioning for the others to get aboard.*
Aribar: "Ah... Nevermind, Jack... I'll just see the boat off..."
Keikyoku climbs on board, grabs a bucket and hides in the closet.
Deloth entertains thoughts of grabbing Keikyoku and throwing him overboard.
Jack: "And miss out on the magic items... treasure... and be preyed upon by whatever is on this main continent?"
Aribar: "..."
Dragoshi: *Enters the room, and looks at Ari.* "...What's going on?"
Aribar hesitantly nods.
Jack: "It's your death, not mine. After Borne, I can't really trust this continent to my life." *Walks aboard.*
Aribar turns to Dragoshi.* "I'm deciding to stay here instead of selfishly going on the ship..."
Metal Man (GM): Jack walks over to Deloth.
Dragoshi: "..." *Just raises an eyebrow at the 'selfishly' part and stays silent.*
Jack: "This ain't your pleasure cruise, I'm not going without them to aid me." He takes out his staff. "I'd much rather kill you dead if you want to get in my way."
Deloth: *Silence.*
Jack: "Or you can find your own transportation... there's something on that island very important to me, and you know how it is. People don't mean anything to me."
Metal Man (GM): Jack walks out and looks to Aribar.
Dragoshi: *Absentmindedly flexes his left claw as this goes on. A-yep.*
Jack: "Well, then, I guess I have to be frank. I'm a man of options, so... either you all get on the ship, or you all get off of it."
Deloth: *More silence. With an eye-twitch this time.*
Jack: "I dislike people as much as he does, but am willing to make an exception, if the people are useful... which... currently isn't the case."
Metal Man (GM): He leans on his staff. It is glowing.
Deloth: "Fine. Get on the damn boat."
Aribar stands there for a moment and considers the options... He decides to walk up the plank and onto the ship, but he keeps his eyes to the deck and heads to a corner away from Deloth.
Jack: *Looks to Dragoshi.* "So... what about you?"
Keikyoku is hiding in a closet below deck and cannot hear this.
Dragoshi: "...'Kay." *Just slowly follows behind Ari, also making sure to stay in a corner away from Del.*
Jack: "Now... let's go." He shuts the door and starts the ship off, moving it in a hurry to the Southern part of the ocean. What a pushy man.
Dragoshi: *Is already on the boat. So... yea.* :x *And he doesn't mind the pushiness.* :/
Deloth takes the AK-47 off of his back and starts shooting any and all birds he sees en route.
Metal Man (GM): Jack is more relaxed as the ship makes its way towards the island.
Jack: "Now... that's the sort of music I like to hear." *BAMBAMBAMBAM* *Seagull gets shot.* *BAMBAMBAM.*
Deloth: *muttering* "Rats with wings..." *BLAM.*
Metal Man (GM): The ship rocks a little. The Questers now see a large, green island in the distance.
Keikyoku panics as he heard the bang, thinking that the ship is under attack and it's gonna sink.
Metal Man (GM): It is overgrown and abandoned.
Jack: "Christmas Island. It used to be an important thing. Now it's empty. The perfect place to live in exile, or... find buried treasure."
Deloth: "Oh, look, more seagulls." *BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM.*
Metal Man (GM): Deloth sees a shiny seagull in the air and blasts it. It explodes.
Jack: "Wonder what that was. Seagulls don't explode..."
Deloth: "Dunno. They pop like seagulls, though." *reloads.*
Dragoshi: "...Maybe it was made out of explosions." :x
Metal Man (GM): The ship reaches the coast slowly. He finally turns the ship and parks it on a rusted, red dock. A rusted sign with a bunch of fancy script and lines on it proclaims: 'WELCOME.' It's bent and hasn't been touched for years. No graffiti either. He gets on out and leaps onto the rusted dock.
Aribar follows Jack.
Deloth steps off of the boat and immediately heads out for the hills, assault rifle in hands.
Jack: "Okay... Sea gull slayer, go to the right to find waterfalls and green hills. Nobody there. Nothing there. It's empty. Like... that."
Metal Man (GM): He turns to the rest of the Questers.
Jack: "Now, for what we're looking at."
Dragoshi: *Blinks as he watches Del head for the hills. He then looks at Jack.*
Metal Man (GM): He points to the left.
Jack: "The other 80% of the island has ancient ruins on it, which were once volcanically active. There could be anything there. But it didn't use to be accessible due to volcanic eruptions."
Keikyoku is forced to come out of the closet and empty his full bucket, he goes top deck and realizes that he's stopped and the rest of the people walked off without him.
Jack: "There's some other areas anyway..."
Keikyoku hurriedly skates over to the group.
Metal Man (GM): Keikyoku sees the people on the dock.
Aribar: "So, do you have any specific place you want us to go? Anywhere in particular?"
Deloth is sort of reminiscent of the Mario Youtube "Game Over." He looks around for a nice-looking pond in this area of the island.
Metal Man (GM): There's a small pond over there, about ankle high. Jack gets some shovels and picks and then goes to hand them to the non-Deloth Questers.
Jack: "We'll need to dig it out."
Aribar accepts a shovel since there is a 99% chance he isn't Deloth.
Deloth takes off his weaponry and just lies down in it. Finally, no killing, no attacks, just... water. "This place... is paradise."
Aribar: "I'll... Try to dig. I'm not sure how well a one-armed weakling can do this, though..."
Dragoshi: *Takes his shovel and pick.*
Metal Man (GM): It is very peaceful.
Keikyoku looks at the shovel "I think I'm too short to use this shovel."
Jack: "Well... just hold the middle or bottom part of the shovel if it's too big. ...And if you have one arm... uhhh... scrape it as good as you can. Or maybe stick to using a pick."
Flaeyn looks at the shovel, coming up with his own excuse. "I can't be sentenced to this type of work..."
Jack: "You guys musta been through some war or something."
Deloth opens one eye. "Weather's nice. Wish you were here."
Aribar: "More like over a decade of somethings..."
Jack: *Looks to Flaeyn.* "But there could be all kinds of nice stuff there... I mean... we'll all just have to wait longer if you don't help. Though that's fine, if it's your choice... but you have two arms?"
Aribar takes a pick instead and... Well, he mostly tries not to hurt himself.
Jack: "Anyway..." He starts walking towards what look like Greek ruins to the left.
Metal Man (GM): The way there has a very old, overgrown path to it.
Flaeyn sighs, and picks up a shovel.
Metal Man (GM): Grass has grown into it.
Dragoshi: *Just slowly follows behind Jack, pick and shovel in hand.*
Deloth: "Now to see if I can get five years of tension out for however long we're here... I can't believe I thought seriously of swimming here on my own..." *suddenly sits up and raises his fist.* "But I'm still smiling, do you hear me?! I'm not down for the count JUST yet!" *lies back down.* "You hear me? You bastards out there won't grind me down. ...But, I digress. How're you doing out there, kiddo? Still living your life like I hoped you would? Glad to hear it. Still wish you were here... but then again, I wish for a lot of things. ...Right, right. I know, bad stuff usually winds up happening when we pop up, one person more wouldn't really help..."
Metal Man (GM): The main Quester group walks their way to what looks like a small marble triangle.
Jack: "Triangle marks the spot."
Metal Man (GM): He points to an X, about 30 feet to the left.
Jack: "X marks a very dangerous place to dig."
Metal Man (GM): He begins shoveling in front of the triangle.
Keikyoku ditches the shovel in favor of the pick and starts hacking into the triangle.
Flaeyn: "What's so dangerous about the X?"
Dragoshi: *Assists with the shoveling of the triangle unless told otherwise.*
Aribar tries to use the pick on the dirt... Very badly at that!*
Metal Man (GM): The dirt is slowly stabbed.
Jack: "It... leads down into a magma chamber. It's a long drop. I should... explain."
Aribar: "Would I be more useful using my magic? I can summon up nearly any element... In fact, I'm not entirely sure, but I -may- be able to move the earth with my magic..."
Flaeyn: "Some kind of sealed beast down there?"
Jack: "Well, if you can summon this pile of dirt, to move over to the left... No, just a very long fall. Deadly, even. Back in the old days, GUN was on this island, and I was with them. We were looking for stuff, just like right now. Then one day, a team came back, down four men. SOMETHING killed them. That something... was Dr. Robotnik. Ever since then we could never go on the island, until after Dr. Robotnik was killed. Now that he's gone the island is safe... but GUN never let me come back. But you guys did a sound job of making GUN too weak to stop me or care."
Aribar puts down the pick and attempts to move the dirt with a bit of his magical powers.
Flaeyn: "Hm. I see."
Jack: "So... now we can find the stuff and keep it all to ourselves. No dirty GUN people or jerks taking it."
Dragoshi: "Swell."
Aribar: "What exactly is under here?"
Flaeyn: "Greed, I see." He sighs, and just goes on digging ignoring the fact a sin is happening in front of him--an angel.
Metal Man (GM): Funny Flaeyn should note that. Jack would almost appear to be the very opposite of an angel in some ways. He hates most people, he's selfish, and now he wants to steal stuff from ancient dead people.
Jack: "Oh... well... I don't know."
Aribar: "Do you even know who these ruins belonged to?" *The mage has stopped digging for the moment... And decided not not cast any spells just yet.*
Jack: "Well... I don't really know."
Flaeyn drops down the shovel, he goes onto picking. Instead of using a Pick, he just starts beating the rocks repeatedly with Godhand, his fist literally starts cracking up with light seeping out of it, as he pounds the rocks into dust.
Aribar decides to just make up an excuse now and backs away. The half-elf is being far too irrational about this, and now he's beginning to question Jack's motives. "I'm not really being much of a help... I'm barely breaking up the dirt and I'm doubting my magic would be that effective..."
Keikyoku gets out of the way and skates in circles on the triangle.
Metal Man (GM): Flaeyn pounds away the rock and dirt... revealing an ancient temple.
Jack: "Well, that's no problem, Aribar. The angel has shown us the way."
Metal Man (GM): There's no door; it's just... open. It smells of ancient dirt. It's pitch black inside. The Questers have only revealed the front, and made sort of a dirt ramp inside, but it'll do.
Keikyoku jumps on the ramp and skates backward into the temple.
Flaeyn returns his fists back to normal, and then does a western bow, gesturing everyone to go inside before him.
Jack: "Let's see... well... I have a lantern, of course, because I planned." He takes it out and shines it in. "Now, why do I want to look inside, besides treasure? Legends... myths... Robotnik."
Metal Man (GM): He walks in... shining the light inside reveals statuary which have become ruined, old blocks, and busted spikes.
Aribar starts to drop into the temple, but stops. "Why are you looking for Robotnik?"
Metal Man (GM): Walking on the floor makes a clacking noise. It was once polished.
Dragoshi: *Follows behind.*
Jack: "Well, I'm curious to see what he did all these years."
Metal Man (GM): Digi runs up, having gotten on the boat and dozed off by accident.
Digifanatic: .oO(Whoops...)
Deloth: *Deloth looks for something bigger around his area that he can swim in.*
Metal Man (GM): Deloth finds that the pond he's in drains off a waterfall into a deeper water area, which has several waterfalls draining into it.
Flaeyn also uses Seraharde, and starts building up light into his palm to also use as a lantern. He walks in after everyone else. "Hm."
Metal Man (GM): No rocks, it's all clay-like.
Deloth heads there and dives in. Mmm. Swimming.
Metal Man (GM): Jack leads the way into the temple, as he finds stairs which go down, and begins walking down them.
Aribar: "I feel as if this is very dangerous ground that we're standing on; anything dealing with Robotnik is." *Aribar, very reluctantly, enters the temple.*
Jack: "Sonic went through here once. And..." He chuckles. "I heard Sonic was looking for Robotnik."
Digifanatic: "No surprise there."
Dragoshi: "Yep..."
Keikyoku: "Well at least I don't have to worry about setting off any floor switches."
Jack: "So, I thought I might combine what I like with that. I get to see world class architecture, and perhaps figure out what's up with Robotnik, if he exists here anymore."
Flaeyn: "Sonic." He says the name to himself, trying to recall memories about him but finding nothing--he doesn't know him after all.
Metal Man (GM): Jack walks down the steps, reaching a tunnel-like area. He steps on something; it clicks... nothing happens.
Digifanatic: *mutters to Dragoshi.* "He better not be a senile insurance salesman..."
Jack: "The mechanisms are broken without geothermal power, I think. They were on when Sonic went through here."
Dragoshi: "I see..."
Metal Man (GM): He shines the flashlight at the ceiling. There's a shiny rusted metal spike chandelier up there.
Jack: "That wouldn't have been nice to encounter."
Dragoshi: "Pretty much."
Aribar says nothing and continues on.
Metal Man (GM): The Questers make their way past some pistons in the floor and ceiling. They have old glass on them and are filled with hardened rock.
Digifanatic: "Typical Robotnik trap..."
Metal Man (GM): They then find something... interesting. The tunnel continues further... only there's metallic pieces around it.
Flaeyn: "This Robotnik guy doesn't seem to be very good at making traps..."
Metal Man (GM): Jack shines the light on a sign. It's covered in dirt.
Jack: "Can't blame his traps for breaking... they're ancient now. And unpowered."
Flaeyn: "And lame."
Jack: "This is where I wanted to go. The ancient ruins were gutted by Eggman... I assume if there's anything left it's in the wreckage of his base."
Digifanatic: "Understood."
Metal Man (GM): He looks to the sign and wipes it off. 'SCRAP BRAIN.' 'NO TRESPASSING.'
Jack: "What a funny sense of humor."
Flaeyn: "Brraaaaiinns." He says.
Metal Man (GM): He begins walking down the tunnel.
Dragoshi: "Quite funny." *Walks down as well.*
Metal Man (GM): You walk on down and find... a large, locked door.
Jack: "Hm."
Metal Man (GM): He knocks on it. Solid.
Jack: "You guys know what to do?"
Flaeyn attempts to bust it down with God Hand.
Metal Man (GM): There's a large switch on the ground right next to it.
Aribar just stands back and says nothing..
Metal Man (GM): The God Hand bounces off of it. The switch is the kind one... stand ons.
Keikyoku: "Well I can't trigger the switch."
Digifanatic just takes a look at the switch before he touches it.
Flaeyn: "Augh." He then has an imaginary light bulb light up. "I see, we stand on the switch, and have to leave one of us behind."
Dragoshi: "...not it."
Keikyoku: "Not if you jam the door open. or we could go find Deloth."
Jack: "Well..." He looks a bit guilty.
Flaeyn: "I can also provide a lantern upon other things, keeping me here would be... wasteful."
Digifanatic: "I think Deloth just wants some... peace..."
Jack: "I just realized I dragged you out here without paying you or anything. In fact, I nearly drove your friend crazy. Maybe I should let you guys go ahead and I can look at what I have, so as to not be greedy. I mean. I still want to look in there, but you guys are pros at this."
Flaeyn: "The thing is... what if some kind of enemy arrives? Can you protect yourself?"
Keikyoku: "We could look for a switch on the other side."
Jack: *Smirks.* "This staff can kill instantly."
Dragoshi: "Pretty much."
Jack: "It's the ancient death weapon of the echidna."
Digifanatic: "Concurred."
Dragoshi: "And it's very effective from what I've seen of it."
Jack: "Oh, there might be a switch on the other side, but... that's up to you once you get there. Anyway... I should step on it."
Metal Man (GM): He steps on the switch. It's a pressure switch, so it needs no power. The pump it operates opens the door a little. He jumps on it a couple times.
Flaeyn: "I kind of think you'll bite us in the butt, like trapping us here as soon as we pass the door." He sighs, "Whatever." Before walking through the passage way after the door opens.
Metal Man (GM): Eventually opening the door.
Jack: "Well, you could have someone else stand on it. It's your choice. I'd actually prefer being inside to outside..."
Aribar: "I'll stand on it. I'm not incredibly comfortable being in this place..."
Digifanatic: "Hang on, hang on..." *looks for any rocks or such he or the others could place on the switch.*
Flaeyn: "Hm?" He says, stopping.
Metal Man (GM): Rocks... rocks... well, none that aren't... a part of the tunnel walls. The tunnel walls are made up of rocks cemented together. Big, heavy ones. They protrude a bit, too.
Flaeyn: "Do you think if I pull one out, the tunnel will collapse?"
Digifanatic: "I wouldn't take that chance. I was just wondering if there was some found object or something..."
Keikyoku looks for a rock on the floor.
Metal Man (GM): None on the floor.
Jack: "It's a bit unstable looking... I wouldn't touch it."
Metal Man (GM): He looks to Aribar.
Flaeyn: "How about a weapon? Or even some item we have..?"
Jack: "Well, if you stand on here, Aribar, I'll get off of it."
Dragoshi: *Absentmindedly flexes his left claw while listening to the conversation.*
Aribar goes to stand on the button.
Flaeyn: "Wait, seriously, couldn't we use some extra equipment we have and place it on the button? We'll fetch it later."
Jack: "..."
Metal Man (GM): Jack stares at the shovel in his hands.
Jack: "We did sort of... drag all our digging equipment in here..."
Digifanatic: "Really, those should be heavy enough..."
Flaeyn: "We don't need the digging equipment anyway, we could easily smash into the rock anyway."
Keikyoku jams the sharp end of his pick into the bottom of the door.
Metal Man (GM): He sticks his shovel on the button. The pick rebounds off the door.
Jack: "Just put that pick here and whoever has another shovel on the button. It isn't that hard to hold down."
Flaeyn drops his shovel onto the button. "Lets advance."
Aribar sadly gets off the button and puts the pick on the button as well before heading inside.
Metal Man (GM): Jack walks inside. There inside is... a light switch.
Jack: "Should we flip it?"
Dragoshi: *Enters the base.* "...Maybe. No idea, though."
Jack: "Bad things seem to happen when I touch switches."
Digifanatic: *walks in.*
Flaeyn: "No. We have your lantern, and the power of Sereharde."
Jack: "Okay." *He flips the button.*
Metal Man (GM): BKZBGKZHBFZKBZKZZZZ.
Dragoshi: "..."
Metal Man (GM): Really old fluorescent bulbs flip on. Some don't come on entirely, and just flicker.
Flaeyn: "I just said NO!" He goes over and pimpslaps Jack, "Dumbass!"
Jack: "Oops. I thought you meant the power of whatever would protect me." He wipes his face.
Digifanatic: "Sereharde?"
Jack: "I guess we're safe anyway."
Metal Man (GM): It's like a massive workbench. A massive... rusted workbench.
Flaeyn charges light into his palm again, and holds up a flickering orb of light. "Sereharde."
Metal Man (GM): Broken robot pieces everywhere.
Jack: "Ohhhhh."
Digifanatic: "Cool."
Dragoshi: "..." *Just sways back and forth as he looks at the pieces.*
Metal Man (GM): It seems all that is here is this ruined workbench. Well... the main console sits in the center of it. A chair is next to it, and all kinds of old coffee mugs and donut boxes are laying around. Eggman must have come up with all his plans from here.
Aribar stands near the entrance of the room and looks about. He wonders if any of Robotnik's robots remain alive here..
Metal Man (GM): There's notes strewn about. 'DEFEAT PESKY HEDGEHOG!' 'KILL STUPID GUN PEOPLE!!' None of the robots in here are alive. They look almost as if they were purposefully scuttled so nobody could learn their secrets.
Flaeyn looks to see if there's anything in the mugs.
Metal Man (GM): Ancient coffee stains.
Keikyoku carves 'Keikyoku the magnificent was here' into the wall.
Metal Man (GM): The computer console is unpowered and looks very old... there's several weird buttons and switches on it.
Flaeyn tries to look for something that would look like a power switch.
Jack: "Scrap brain is much larger than this... and I've never seen this room before."
Metal Man (GM): Flayen finds one on the side of the large, mainframe-like computer behind the console.
Digifanatic cautiously walks over to the computer... doesn't touch anything yet, but he at least wants to take a look.
Metal Man (GM): It has several CRT monitors and robot CAD designs around it. They look old and yellowed. The controls on the computer have little notes.
Flaeyn tries to read the notes.
Metal Man (GM): 'Pow 1.' 'Pow 2.' 'Pow 3.' 'Aux Pow 1.' 'RESERVED.' 'Door Lok.' 'Lok 2.' 'Lok 3.'
Flaeyn: "..." He turns to the others. "Do we have communicators?"
Metal Man (GM): The locks have all been set to 'lock' except the one everyone entered with. The power things are all off, except 'Aux Pow 1.'
Jack: "Not me, I'm afraid."
Dragoshi: "Nope."
Aribar: "We don't..."
Flaeyn: "'Tch. I was going to suggest we leave one behind here, when we get to a locked door we would signal that someone to open that door."
Metal Man (GM): Apparently Aux Pow 1 is the one powering the lights.
Jack: "Well... this find is quite interesting." He knocks everything off a desk and begins digging around in the wreckage. "Hm... hm..." He begins searching around the room. "What a mess."
Flaeyn: "...That's right, we're in a room with a bunch of electronics..."
Digifanatic: "Should I take a look at what's on the computer?"
Keikyoku switches on pow 1, 2, and 3.
Metal Man (GM): BZHTZBTHZBTKZBTKBZZKTBZBTKZBTKZBTKBZTKBZKTB.
Dragoshi: "..." *Blinks.*
Flaeyn: "...What if that switches on traps?"
Metal Man (GM): The lights brighten up, then turn red. The computer turns on all by itself... and a large display on the wall turns on.
Jack: "I bet it will... Not in here, buuuut..." He shakes his head.
Flaeyn: "That's why we don't do anything without consulting the team..."
Metal Man (GM): The display shows that the power reserves are in the red. Only Power 3 has any appreciable energy remaining.
Dragoshi: "Like that really ever stops anyone..." *Sighs.*
Metal Man (GM): 'GEOTHERM ERR.' Apparently the lava flow energy dried up long ago.
Flaeyn: "Hey, did you find anything?" He says to Jack.
Digifanatic: "Huh..." *shuts them back off.*
Jack: "Well..." He takes out a few pieces of stuff. "Eggman was working on a new class of robots, because these are--" BZBZKZBZKZBZKZBZK the lights darken down yet again to how they were. "If you do that too many times it might just explode. This stuff is sensitive... er..."
Dragoshi: "...Yea. So let's keep that to a limit. Starting... now."
Metal Man (GM): He holds up a shiny metal arm.
Keikyoku: "Well I was gonna look to see what is on the computer but..."
Jack: "He wanted to destroy GUN so desperately he made robots programmed to destroy cities and burn everything to nothing."
Digifanatic turns on just Pow 1.
Aribar goes to sit down on a pile of robot parts while the others talk and investigate.*
Flaeyn: "So that would mean he wouldn't have communicators laying around..."
Jack: "There's fire apparatus everywhere, as well as some defused bomb pieces, and circuit boards."
Metal Man (GM): Nothing happens after Digi flips the switch.
Digifanatic: "One at a time, people..."
Aribar: "I think Borne succeeded where he failed..."
Dragoshi: *Nods.*
Keikyoku turns on 3.
Jack: "...Heh... yes. That robot Borne used... must have been his ultimate machine."
Metal Man (GM): BZKZBZKZBZKZBZKZBZKZBZKBZ. *POP.* The lights turn on for a moment, then go dark entirely.
Digifanatic: "Awwww..."
Dragoshi: "...and nobody listens."
Jack: "...What did I say about playing with switches?"
Dragoshi: "Surprise, surprise."
Digifanatic: "I was only going one at a time..."
Jack: "That was a fuse... and god knows there aren't fuses made for old Eggman machines... anyway... We need to find our way deeper. This room isn't the answer."
Digifanatic: "Kei... could you just hold back on your ambitions, please?"
Flaeyn switches them all off, and gets out Sereharde to light up the room. "Forget it, we'll just advance, and send a person to come back to this room if we come to a locked door."
Jack: "Even if we could get this computer on... it's robot design. There isn't anything dating to his last era. Which was shortly after this, and GUN overran that lab, so we'll know when we hit it. He ran from this one. GUN didn't even bother coming in. I can tell why. Now, those switches."
Dragoshi: *Nods in agreement.*
Metal Man (GM): He looks to the lock ones.
Jack: "We need to get some form of power back on. Just to open the switch. Let's see..." He puts a light up to... where the lights are. "The wiring must follow these lights."
Flaeyn: "So we have to advance anyway--to get to a power room."
Jack: "Hmmm..." The wires lead into a ventilated shaft.
Flaeyn: "..." He almost falls down in despair. "...A shaft..."
Metal Man (GM): There is a small shaft.
Keikyoku skates around and tries to see if there is anything worth stealing.
Jack: "...Well... I think we'll be doing this old school. Any of you have a power source?"
Metal Man (GM): Keikyoku find what look like defused grenades, dried up oil containers, and pieces of metal claws that are rusted to nothing.
Flaeyn wonders who can fit into the shaft. "A power source... perhaps," He looks to Aribar. "You have a fire spell, couldn't we use it for energy?"
Metal Man (GM): Also, Keikyoku does this in the dark. *Skate.* *CLANK!* *Skate.* *CRASH!!!* It's a bit dangerous.
Dragoshi: "No... Only two mushrooms, a breath mint, and unless you want me to use a lightning spell to try to power up the thing, then no... I don't think I have anything that could help." :x
Jack: "Could someone tie the weasel down? I don't want him activating some kind of bomb while we talk."
Keikyoku skates over to the vent. "I'm probably small enough."
Jack: "...Ok..." He points to the shaft cover. "Rip that open."
Digifanatic: .oO(Where's the Gibby when you need him?)
Keikyoku uppercuts the shaft cover.
Flaeyn: "..." He looks to everyone else. "Can anyone ELSE fit in the shaft?"
Metal Man (GM): *SMASH* Keikyoku sees the cover leads into another small room somewhere.
Aribar: "I have electrical spells... I could try to power something up if you want."
Flaeyn: "Do it then."
Keikyoku climbs into the shaft.
Digifanatic: "Too late, I think..."
Jack: "Okay." Keikyoku climbs into the shaft, out of earshot. "There's no fuses anyway."
Metal Man (GM): He smirks crazily.
Jack: "We'll probably see him in a while. Aaaaanyway..."
Metal Man (GM): He rips open the machine, grabs a wire, and holds it out to Aribar. "Shock it up, dude."
Keikyoku climbs into the other room.
Metal Man (GM): Keikyoku finds a box... attached to a wall, in a small room. It has a small padlock on it.
Keikyoku punches the padlock.
Metal Man (GM): Keikyoku punches it off, and see a lot of fuses. Most of them are broken down the middle.
Aribar hesitates for a moment. The mage thinks that he could probably just stop this excavation right here and now... But then he'd be facing Jack's deathstaff, and in any case, the half-elf has no idea if this place -is- dangerous or not. He casts White Lightning on the wires.
Metal Man (GM): *BZKTBZKTBZTKB.* Keikyoku is facing the fusebox just as Aribar overloads it with electricity. The fuses explode right in his face and he gets shocked a lot. Jack chuckles maliciously.
Jack: "I think a little... electric shock... should keep him in line."
Metal Man (GM): A door opens up in the wall, abruptly. It knocks a table over.
Jack: "Let's go, before he recovers his senses."
Dragoshi: "...well. In any case. Let's move on." *Onward!*
Flaeyn: "Well that was nice." He says to Jack.
Digifanatic: *next room.*
Metal Man (GM): The only way out for Keikyoku is the shaft... Jack goes into the next room. He looks at the door.
Keikyoku climbs back out into the room.
Jack: "I'll just be closing this."
Metal Man (GM): *Ka-klunk.*
Aribar frowns... "You know, I think I'm out of magical energy for the day... Don't ask me for any more favors." He glances towards the shaft before continuing onward.
Metal Man (GM): Keikyoku makes it into the first room... just in time for a door to close behind the others. Hmmm... Keikyoku will have to figure a way through that...
Keikyoku looks for something metal and small enough to fit in a fuse.
Flaeyn: "I see." He says towards Aribar.
Jack: "Now, for the rest of us..." The tunnel leads into an open area, filled with factories and stuff... all underground!
Metal Man (GM): Keikyoku find a metal hand. It's a little too big.
Keikyoku: "Hmmm."
Jack: "The place where GUN got him is just down this ruined dystopian factory cave way." He begins walking down a ruined metal street, filled with debris and busted robots, electrodes, etc. GUN must have stormed it.
Keikyoku flips off all the power switches.
Metal Man (GM): Keikyoku does so... he notices three wires hanging out of the console.
Dragoshi: *Follows behind at a normal pace.*
Keikyoku connects the wires with like colors.
Flaeyn's in the very back of the group, watching their back.
Metal Man (GM): Keikyoku connects them... nothing happens, but, they're connected. Jack and the main Quester group are nearly to a huge factory building that mostly burned down.
Keikyoku flips the switches on.
Metal Man (GM): Keikyoku sees no result. The fuses are still broken. In fact, that power surge destroyed the remaining ones. That were in the panel, at least.
Flaeyn: "Kind of amazed we don't have some kind of skeletons or robots just suddenly animate themselves at this moment..."
Jack: "They did that a couple times. GUN shot 'em up."
Metal Man (GM): He kicks a busted caterpillar robot.
Keikyoku flips them back off and takes the hand into the other room.
Jack: "Also, your genius friend blew up the power. No way they're coming back now."
Digifanatic: "..."
Metal Man (GM): The Questers reach the threshold of the ruined main building. It's heavily damaged... a huge girder blocks the entrance. Keikyoku reaches the fuse room.
Flaeyn: "You never know... I kind of doubt we're going on without any action--there must be some catch."
Metal Man (GM): All the fuses are busted... and it's rather dark in here. Indeed. It's hard to see.
Keikyoku looks around for another box.
Metal Man (GM): ... in the dark.
Jack: "Well, I said the island was peaceful... now... somebody able to remove this girder?"
Metal Man (GM): Keikyoku finds... only busted fuse fragments so far.
Flaeyn charges up his hands again, and attempts to pull it out.
Metal Man (GM): The girder is removed. In the dark, Keikyoku finds another piece of scrap metal, too large to fit though. It's a long hallway, filled with bullet holes. Ancient dried up blood and dead robots lay everywhere. Eggrobos. The door on the ruined factory thing was broken to pieces long ago; removing the girder exposed it. The long hallway shows the ruins of an old struggle.
Flaeyn searches for any leftover, working guns.
Metal Man (GM): Some guns are undamaged. All their power packs are busted, though. Dead batteries. They used them until they ruptured. The Questers can see that the robots fought to the death to protect Dr. Robotnik.
Jack: "Ah... this ugly sight."
Digifanatic: *keeps going.*
Flaeyn: "'Tch. Troublesome." He still takes one up, for... Dragoshi's reason.
Jack: "It took days to get in here, and all kinds of men and robots to break in."
Aribar simply follows the others. He doesn't divert from the path or say anything.
Metal Man (GM): He walks down the hallway.
Digifanatic: *nothing much to do except look so far.*
Metal Man (GM): The destruction gets worse down here. Tables thrown down as shields, and blown up by grenades.
Dragoshi: *Just continues walking on along, following behind Jack. A-yep.*
Metal Man (GM): Robot arms thrown about everywhere. There are GUN bits too. Even some dead GUN skeletons. The tables were used as shields. There's a few GUN riot shields... filled with thousands of holes. The Questers eventually reach a door. Jack stares at it all funny.
Jack: "This door was forced open. Why is it closed?"
Metal Man (GM): Despite being filled with hundreds of holes and a huge gash, the metal blast door is closed. It's a vertical-style door.
Dragoshi: "That's... a good question."
Jack: "Can someone push it up again? It can't be locked. It was broken."
Digifanatic: "Hmm... maybe closed to pretend one thing happened to hide a reality?"
Flaeyn: "Well since they have holes and other things in that door... we can probably bust through it. Anyone want the honors?"
Digifanatic: "I can help bash it down."
Dragoshi: "Well, I haven't done much, so... Yea. I'll help as well."
Flaeyn: "Go ahead."
Aribar just stands back.
Flaeyn does so as well.
Digifanatic walks up to the door and goes for his malletspace--haven't seen that in a while--and takes out a golf club, swinging it more like a baseball bat to break the door down.
Metal Man (GM): *SMASH* It crumples forward, revealing a modest control room.
Dragoshi: "...or maybe not." >_>;;
Metal Man (GM): A modest control room with GUN corpses everywhere, and a single Eggrobo, still in a struggle with a dead GUN corpse; both are dead, but they died pushing against one another.
Flaeyn'd look around for anymore notes that would indicate what some of the buttons do.
Digifanatic: *back into mallet/hammerspace goes his battering tool.*
Metal Man (GM): There is also the chair Eggman used here... it's one of his Egg-o-matics.
Digifanatic: "That's just strange..."
Metal Man (GM): It's filled with holes. The room is filled with laser holes from it being used. And, indeed, there is a skeleton sitting in it, wearing familiar clothes. Jack is unbothered, as he throws it out of the machine.
Jack: "This is what we were here for. We can get what we came for."
Metal Man (GM): Keikyoku, struggling in the darkness, finds a single fuse.
Digifanatic: *looks at the skeleton.*
Metal Man (GM): It's human, wearing Eggman's clothes, and laying down on the floor now.
Keikyoku sticks the fuse in the fusebox.
Metal Man (GM): *Stick.* Nothing... Jack flips some switches. the Egg-o-matic is large enough to (barely) fit most of the Questersu.
Aribar looks at the skeleton as well... A bit repulsed, but also intrigued..* "Is... Is... Is that really Robotnik?"
Keikyoku climbs back into the other room and turns on the aux power.
Jack: "It sure better be. All kinds of men died fighting for it."
Metal Man (GM): *Flicker.* The auxiliary lights turn on.
Dragoshi: "Quite."
Metal Man (GM): The room is lit up... the doors out not open though.
Digifanatic: "Sounds like it..."
Jack: "Eggman is worse than... well, actually, similar to Borne, not worse than."
Keikyoku flips the lock switches.
Metal Man (GM): Keikyoku hears the door close. Hm. That was to re-lock them. Guess somebody closed it manually that other time. Jack turns on the machine.
Keikyoku flips them again.
Metal Man (GM): The door to the large machine area finally opens up.
Jack: "Now... follow this." The Egg-o-matic begins hovering out of the room, the way you came. "If you have sympathy for Eggman, you could prop up his body, but I don't really care. The things he did were horrible."
Keikyoku skates through the door.
Digifanatic: *follows without bothering about the body.*
Dragoshi: *Follows, not really caring.*
Metal Man (GM): Keikyoku enter a large factory wasteland. He can't tell where the Questers went from here... There's a bunch of metal streets in all directions.
Flaeyn does so, he dusts off Eggman's clothes and sits him onto a chair. He puts both of his hands into a prayer, then follows the Egg-o-matic.
Metal Man (GM): Jack floats the machine down the corridor and flips a switch. *SHOOMP* A door opens in the wall.
Aribar hesitates for a moment before following... The idea of -Eggman- being dead seems impossible to the half-elf...
Deloth: *Still swimming, in case you were wondering!*
Keikyoku looks down all the streets for anything interesting.
Jack: "Now. Eggman left us a nice bit of treasure. I think it wouldn't be too horrible if we took it and used it for something else than burial offerings."
Metal Man (GM): Keikyoku would see there's a ruined factory in the distance, and a lot of metallic debris in the street... gunshots and what look like footprints of huge mecha...
Flaeyn: "Won't argue with that."
Keikyoku follows the mech's footprints.
Aribar says nothing and continues to follow Jack... His distaste for the man contiues to grow.
Metal Man (GM): As Keikyoku closes in on the Questers, the Questers make it into a final room, as Jack leads them into a place filled with... priceless golden statuary. Ancient mobians built that temple!
Dragoshi: *Low whistle.*
Metal Man (GM): The images of them, stacked up... and carefully cataloged...
Digifanatic: "Oh, HELLO!"
Jack: "We knew Robotnik had been getting his funding somehow. And here we have it."
Dragoshi: "It all makes sense..."
Flaeyn tries whistling, but can't. "Weet-wo." It sounds pathetic.
Jack: "He sold a bit of it, but became greedy. That is how he died. Had he sold more of it... I fear he could have bought the world if he wanted. It's ours now. And your little friend who went nuts doesn't need to know about it."
Dragoshi: "Heh..."
Jack: "Now, we need a way to get it aaaaalll the way out of here."
Metal Man (GM): He begins typing, as Keikyoku gets to the steps of the ruined building. The mech footprints go left from the building.
Flaeyn: "Lets stuff the Egg-o-matic?"
Dragoshi: "That could work..."
Jack: "Can only fit one, two... three of them in it, if we have it follow us."
Aribar looks at the statues... He wonders what the subjects of the statues are. Echidnas? Hedgehogs? Other creatures?
Metal Man (GM): Hedgehogs... Echidnas... many of them are holding priceless jewels. There's one of a human angel, too. Clearly, many races lived here.
Keikyoku goes into the building.
Metal Man (GM): No fox ones, though, odd. Keikyoku walks in and see a door to the left is open, and footprints in the dust, and a lot of dead Eggrobos.
Jack: "Which one should we take?"
Metal Man (GM): There's many statues. Some range in size. The angelic one is pretty huge.
Flaeyn: "..." He just looks up into the human statue. He then looks at it's wings in comparison to his blackened, then goes to a Hedgehog's Statue, taking out a jewel. He stops, waiting to see if there would be a reaction.
Metal Man (GM): Eggman, out of envy, also made an image of himself. The wings are comparable to an extent. Who knows what kind of utopia they might have had. The jewel on the hedgehog one is definitely magical. It glows a little.
Keikyoku follows the footsteps as fast as he can, intrigued.
Metal Man (GM): Keikyoku walks into the room with the status and Jack and the other Questers.
Jack: "I have to wonder... if Eggman learned half of what he did from these ancients."
Dragoshi: "..."
Flaeyn: "Oh come on. No skeletons just randomly reanimate?" He wonders how much jewels they can take.
Keikyoku: "What are you doing."
Aribar: "Apparently being grave robbers... Jack, what is it exactly that you came here for?"
Jack: "Taking some ancient statues so we can become rich. And sell them to art museums, then they can show them to poor people."
Digifanatic: "I'm not touching anything until I know whether things start animating or not."
Jack: "Eggman is a technology man. No skeletons would hurt us!"
Metal Man (GM): He seems somewhat naive, and/or insane. He touches one.
Jack: "See. Nothing."
Dragoshi: "Possibly. Maybe."
Keikyoku: "Don't defile this temple, I don't care about the Eggman statue but the rest of it was put here for a reason."
Flaeyn: "We're just stealing from Eggman, he's supposed to be evil, anyway." He just takes a jewel from the hedgehog. "..."
Jack: "The Eggman put them here."
Dragoshi: "That he did."
Metal Man (GM): The jewel seems to stick to the statue.
Jack: "Ah ah ah! Don't touch those. The people who made these... were good at magical jewels."
Flaeyn: "...?"
Jack: "Those... now those might mess us up."
Metal Man (GM): Flaeyn grabs it and it floats back into place.
Digifanatic: "See what I mean?"
Dragoshi: "...I see."
Jack: "We don't want the statues with those."
Digifanatic: "I'm not dealing with things like that right now..."
Flaeyn just picks it up, and lets it retract back to it's place. He does this for awhile, somewhat amused.
Jack: "Eggman stole the six most important jewels. They nearly destroyed the world, over and over again."
Digifanatic: "The Chaos Emeralds... or some Emeralds, right?"
Dragoshi: "So... leave those behind, then. Got it." *Looks for any statues that don't have jewels in them. :x*
Keikyoku examines some of the echidna statues.
Jack: "The seventh came from another island. We should look there and get the rest."
Metal Man (GM): These echidna statues are far more ancient than any of the island, and possibly unrelated. They show Echidna who have different characteristics from the Angel Island ones. Who have never been seen alive. They're stockier, and slightly taller than the hedgehogs, who look more like Sonic.
Keikyoku looks around for the giant Master Emerald.
Metal Man (GM): No such thing in sight... however... the hedgehog ones are holding gems... gems that look like the chaos emeralds. One of which Flaeyn is playing with. It is glowing oddly.
Aribar: "... You want the Chaos Emeralds?"
Jack: "Nope. I want the gold."
Keikyoku picks one of the emeralds up.
Metal Man (GM): Keikyoku tries to grab the stone. It floats out of his hands and returns to the hedgehog statue.
Jack: "The emeralds are dangerous things."
Dragoshi: "Yea. 'Sides, those emeralds usually screw over whoever wants 'em in the end, anyway." :/
Digifanatic: "Wait a minute... those look like the--yeah."
Jack: "These probably aren't as powerful as the real deal, or the angel guy might have gotten us all killed just by touching it. In fact, if anything re-animates skeletons it's... that stone he won't stop poking."
Flaeyn: "Hmm..." He rubs his chin, looking at Jack, and just does it a few more times to screw around with them.
Keikyoku grabs onto the emerald with all his might and tries to set it on one of the echidna statues.
Jack: "..." He begins hurriedly putting the angel statue and two non-stone holding Echidna ones into the Egg-o-matic.
Metal Man (GM): Keikyoku moves it near the other statue. It changes hands to the other statue, which magically shifts to hold it.
Jack: "...Yeah... you guys play with those."
Metal Man (GM): He begins making his way to leave.
Jack: "...I don't want to find out what those stones do. For us who want wealth and not a creepy, magic-related death, you may want to... come with me." He seems almost scared.
Keikyoku looks amused and moves all of the stones into the echidna statues.
Aribar: "But now we've found them."
Metal Man (GM): The stones are glowing all weird-like.
Dragoshi: *Follows Jack behind... After looking for any statues or stuff that isn't holding a jewel.*
Aribar: "What is to prevent us from... Keikyoku, really, stop that."
Digifanatic: "Me neither..." .oO(Especially when Kei is a part of this.)
Metal Man (GM): Dragoshi knocks a statue over. The stones are beginning to hum oddly.
Keikyoku listens to the humming.
Jack: "..." He begins walking away with the three statues, as Keikyoku and Flaeyn slowly cause the stones to glow and pulse.
Metal Man (GM): A strange energy begins to fill the room.
Jack: "There's a reason Eggman went insane!" He's now exiting the building with Dragoshi.
Dragoshi: *Just gets out of there!*
Aribar backs away from the statues and puts a hand on the hilt of his sword.* "What is to prevent others from finding these stones?"
Flaeyn'd stop, looking up to the Angel statue, wondering if it had a gem as well.
Dragoshi: *Run away, run away!*
Digifanatic: *runs the heck out.
Metal Man (GM): The Angel statue was holding a strange form of writing/scroll. The statue room glows the various colors...
Aribar follows the others... But tries to keep the inside of the room in sight just to see what happens.
Metal Man (GM): ...The dead stuff on the ground begins twitching.
Flaeyn: "Hm. I do believe we just created Armageddon." He flies out with the others.
Digifanatic: *singsong.* "I kneeeeeeeeeeeew it."
Metal Man (GM): Inside the room, a weird presence can be felt, and would begin to... burn... anyone who stays there. That means Keikyoku.
Keikyoku looks at the dead stuff before skating away.
Metal Man (GM): Keikyoku sees... why, the Eggrobos are quite happy to see him, as they suddenly stand up and go to club him over the head. Outside, Jack is running.
Flaeyn: "Kind funny if we just turned Eggman back to life."
Metal Man (GM): The Eggrobo misses Keikyoku's head just barely.
Aribar: "... What did you just say, Flaeyn?"
Jack: "I think we activated something OTHER than Eggman..." Oh dear, the robots in the path are beginning to stir too.
Dragoshi: "Yeeeaaa... This is not good at all."
Aribar: "... Damn it! I -knew- this was a bad idea!"
Metal Man (GM): A weird chanting fills the air.
Flaeyn: "Maybe we created Robot Demon Nazis. Then we've have to fight like a revived Hitler or something." Rolls his eyes.
Dragoshi: "...Somehow, I doubt it."
Metal Man (GM): Nobody can seemingly understand it.
???: "FLAEN GNAH KNEE TAA ZOE... FLAEN GNAH KNEE TAA ZOE... FLAEN GNAH KNEE TAA ZOE..."
Aribar: "I suggest we try and get Eggman's body away from here... Just in case he comes back."
Flaeyn: "Hm? Did they just say my name?"
Jack: "Hm. It appears that in touching the stones, we activated their energy fields."
Keikyoku starts chanting in time.
Digifanatic: .oO(Cthulhu fhtagn?)
Metal Man (GM): He stops short of exiting entirely.
Dragoshi: "Wonderful."
Flaeyn: "Only two of us should head in that hellhole..."
Metal Man (GM): Jack stops on the stairs back up and looks back at the ominous glowing.
Jack: "That's an ancient dialect. It is quite simple. Kill the intruders... kill the intruders... Apparently you disturbed an ancient booby trap mechanism in the stones."
Aribar: "Straight-forward and to the point..."
Jack: "...What brilliant people they were. Now let's run before all the dead stuff kills us for good."
Dragoshi: *Continues running away!*
Metal Man (GM): He runs up the stairs into the room previously left. Keikyoku is staying just outside the room... ...
Aribar: "Hopefully this means that they will return to death after we leave." *Flees back to the control room.*
Metal Man (GM): Eggrobos are advancing on Keikyoku on all sides.
Keikyoku runs.
Metal Man (GM): An Eggrobo swings at Keikyoku. It misses. Everyone runs... and runs...
Flaeyn: "Wait, what about Eggman's body?"
Metal Man (GM): Meanwhile... Jack is at the door, and sees that Keikyoku has fixed the lock mechanism.
Jack: "We're in luck! We can shut the door and seal off the evil! ...But it'll leave that weasel behind."
Dragoshi: "...but we'll seal off the evil." :x *Perfect rebuttal!*
Metal Man (GM): The Questers see robots trying to make their way up the stairs.
Aribar: "We can wait until he comes out and THEN close it."
Flaeyn: "Then no deal." He pushes Jack out of the way, and he tries to fetch Keikyoku as fast as possible.
Metal Man (GM): As does Keikyoku... Evil caterpillars on the stairs. Flaeyn falls down the stairs.
Flaeyn falls on his face. "..."
Aribar would start flinging out bolts of lightning at the robots advancing up the stairs.*
Jack: "...Both of the people who caused the mechanism are down there..."
Metal Man (GM): Keikyoku and Flaeyn are next to one another. Hundreds of creepy robots and GUN skeletons are advancing on them.
Flaeyn: "..." He THEN tries to grab Keikyoku as he's right next to him, and chuck him outside the room. He would also try running, nonetheless he's leaving himself to face the skeletons alone.
Jack: "...It's up to you, Dragon person."
Dragoshi: "...'aight." *Goes to switch the locks on. A-yep.* :/
Keikyoku runs up the stairs, dragging Flaeyn.
Aribar: "Wait, don't lock them out yet!"
Jack: "...I meant blasting monsters off the stairs."
Dragoshi: *Stops.* *Hopefully didn't lock yet...*
Aribar starts throwing out more powerful blasts of electricity at the robots! Ele!
Metal Man (GM): Dragoshi didn't reach the switch. *BLAM* There's... too many.
Dragoshi: "Well, then specify." e_e *Assists Ari with 2 Electrical Eles of his own.*
Metal Man (GM): The stairs are temporarily cleared.
Jack: "Okay. NOW." He flips the switches.
Metal Man (GM): Keikyoku and Flaeyn enter the room, as the door falls behind them.
Jack: "Now of course, skeleton Eggman may be behind that door, but, he isn't getting anywhere."
Metal Man (GM): He writes a post-it with Eggman's old stuff and sticks it to the switches. 'DO NOT OPEN DOOR UNLESS YOU LIKE WRATH OF UNDEAD.'
Keikyoku: "We could always break the fuse I put in."
Jack: "Maybe... anyway." He looks at the measly three statues. "This is to be split between me and the people who didn't tempt fate."
Dragoshi: "...Would that unlock it... or leave it permanently lock it, though? 'k."
Jack: "I'm not rewarding people who downsized my, errr, your wealth by a factor of one hundred..."
Flaeyn: "...I see." He shrugs, he doesn't seem all that disappointed, after all, he never came for the treasure anyway.
Digifanatic: "Don't want to take that chance if we don't have to..."
Jack: "Let's get out of here." He goes to leave entirely.
Keikyoku: "I don't know, probably leave it locked."
Digifanatic: *leaves as well.*
Keikyoku follows.
Flaeyn looks for the Eggman Skeleton first.
Dragoshi: *Just follows on along.*
Aribar follows the others out, but stops when they get to the point where the man-made floors and walls give way to dirt.*
Metal Man (GM): Flaeyn never did see it up close, actually, and with the door down, he probably never will find it again.
Keikyoku looks at the Eggrobo and tries to see if there is enough room for him to sit in it.
Metal Man (GM): Nope. Too many statues. The Questers slowly make their way out to the dirt entrance.
Flaeyn: "Augh..." He just follows the others.
Metal Man (GM): The statues are made of gold. They can't support weight.
Jack: "Well, I came for what I wanted, sort of, and you got some wealth. Sort of. Shall we leave this island and never speak of that again?"
Digifanatic: "Aye."
Flaeyn: "We can't just leave it alone..."
Jack: "Lest some idiot release an undead army which might hunt us to the ends of the plane--oh look it is such a beautiful day!"
Dragoshi: "...Yea. Feel sorry for the idiot th---Oh, yea. It is kinda nice, isn't it?"
Metal Man (GM): Jack slowly makes his way up, pointing to the boat as he carts the gold statues towards it.
Aribar looks about the dirt entrance... He waits until the others pass him.
Keikyoku waits for Flaeyn's decision since he risked his life for him.
Jack: "Oh. You guys can keep the Egg-o-matic when I'm done..."
Keikyoku: "I call riding in it first."
Dragoshi: "Swell. ...I call second, then."
Aribar: "Flaeyn, could you move outside for a moment?"
Metal Man (GM): Flaeyn and Keikyoku, in fact, are blocking the entrance, as Dragoshi, Jack, and probably Dragoshi. Digi rides on over to the boat.
Flaeyn twists his head around, looking down at Aribar. He steps out of the way. "Go ahead."
Keikyoku walks up the entrance.
Metal Man (GM): The entrance is empty now.
Aribar: *Once those two are out of the way, the elf collapses the entrance with several Earth eles.*
Jack: "Okay..." He puts the statues in the boat. "I'm going to go sell the statues. Where can I drop you off when I'm done with that?"
Metal Man (GM): The entrance is collapsed. This, if anything, relieves Jack.
Keikyoku screams. "DELOTH WE'RE LEAVING YOU SHOULD PROBABLY COME WITH US!!!"
Metal Man (GM): Deloth hear screaming in the distance. Keikyoku screams.
Deloth: "..."
Metal Man (GM): It sounds almost as if someone is killing him to Deloth's ears.
Flaeyn grabs Keikyoku, and covers his mouth Snake style.
Metal Man (GM): This truly IS paradise!
Keikyoku bites the hand.
Deloth: *shouting.* "WHOEVER'S STRANGLING HIM, BE SURE YOU MAKE SURE HE'S STOPPED BREATHING ENTIRELY!" *dives back underwater again.*
Aribar was about to go and get Deloth, but it seems as if Keikyoku took care of that... Still, the half-elf tries to recall Jack's directions and head to Deloth's locale.
Dragoshi: *Laughs.*
Flaeyn: "Ha. Gloves." He then does a thumbs up to Deloth's voice, and drags him to the boat playfully.
Metal Man (GM): Jack sits on the boat as Keikyoku and Flaeyn struggle, and Aribar walks into the hills.
Dragoshi: "You guys..." *Shakes his head, and chuckles, heading on back to the boat.*
Metal Man (GM): Jack carefully packs up the golden statues.
Jack: "I just realized... It's a good thing I only took three."
Keikyoku punches his captor playfully.
Jack: "Otherwise I could have sunken the ship with them."
Digifanatic tries to keep his laughter to a minimum.
Jack: "They're heeaaaavy."
Digifanatic: "Ah."
Flaeyn: "..." He facepalms. "Well shat, I forgot about that."
Jack: "See? A little greed is good. A lot will get you killed."
Keikyoku: "Mmffmruffm."
Dragoshi: "Yep."
Metal Man (GM): Jack, the king of morals, as he has ancient statues stolen from the lair of a dead evil man.
Digifanatic: *whispers to Deloth.* "We gotta introduce that freak to Julian."
Dragoshi: "...And let us never mention what transpired here ever again."
Jack: "Yes."
Flaeyn'd let go of Keikyoku eventually.
Metal Man (GM): Deloth see Aribar.
Deloth swims back up and grins. "Keikyoku getting killed AND a nice place for some swimming? Hot damn, this IS paradise."
Aribar: "Greetings, Deloth... Looks like you had a better time that we had."
Metal Man (GM): Jack carefully weighs the statues as he stashes them away on the boat.
Jack: "At last, we'll have enough money to do whatever we want."
Deloth: "With the rat tagging along? Oh, I'm sure."
Keikyoku looks to the ocean and goes wide eyed.
Aribar: "Jack proved to be... Quite insufferable. He looted Eggman's ruins..."
Metal Man (GM): Aribar and Deloth are off in the hills.
Aribar: "And the dead were raised when Flaeyn and Keikyoku... Played with what appeared to be the Chaos Emeralds."
Deloth: "What a moron."
Aribar: "In any case, Jack has three golden statues... He's going to pawn them and give most of us some money from them."
Deloth: "And lemme guess. I get none."
Aribar: "You can have my share if you don't get any; I'm not really in the mood to accept anything from him. The statues ought to be loaded up onto the ship... I'm afraid your vacation has come to an end."
Deloth: *shrug.* "Suit yourself. Have you seen that armor I wear anywhere?"
Aribar: "Ahhh... No idea." *Looks about for the armor.*
Deloth: "Okay, well... if you can't find it, tell Jack I drowned or something and come back with a pair of jeans at your first possible opportunity." *dives again.*
Metal Man (GM): Aribar finds a Mukodon who is running a shop, with a fluffy mushroom. He says he can located everything. But then Aribar tells him to locate himself and his head explodes. Just kidding. Deloth finds hastily discarded Deloth armor.
Aribar brings it over to the pool's edge.* "Here's your stuff, Deloth... I'll be leaving now. See you in a bit."
Deloth: "'K."
Aribar heads back to the ship.*
Jack: "So, ready to go, Aribar?"
Metal Man (GM): The rest are on the ship, as are the statues.
Flaeyn: "Where's Deloth?" He says to Aribar.
Deloth gets out, shakes the water off of himself, and gets dressed before heading back.
Jack: "Good work burying the entrance."
Deloth: *...Or not. He ALSO grabs his weapons again before going back.*
Aribar: "He's coming; He's just drying off and such I think."
Jack: "I don't want anyone to find out about it, especially GUN. They might want the dangerous gems which, if unburied, could kill us all."
Aribar: "And you're welcome."
Jack: "Oh, so... Mr. Solitude is coming? Okay." He waits.
Digifanatic: *just relaxing on the NICE BOAT for now.*
Deloth walks over and hops onto the ship, seeming a lot less... mentally broken now.
Jack: "So, sobered up from the abandoned island?"
Deloth: "Shame I couldn't stay longer. Nice pool over there."
Dragoshi: "Yea, I'm good."
Digifanatic: *gestures Deloth to lean in.*
Deloth does so.
Digifanatic: *whispers to Deloth.* "Would you be entertained in introducing Keikyoku to Julian sometime soon?"
Deloth: "So, Kei, I hear you fucked up and nearly killed us all. AGAIN." *smiles a bit and leans back up.* "Y'know, I'm still a little stressed..." *makes a grab for Keikyoku with both arms and all four tentacles.*
Jack: "Yeah, an undead army was created by Keikyoku and Flaeyn playing with rocks Man Was Not Meant To Touch."
Keikyoku: "I can't take all the credit, Flaeyn helped." *tries to dodge.*
Aribar: "Deloth, please try not to kill him. We did rescue him from the undead robots..."
Flaeyn gives a thumbs up with apathetic face.
Jack: "Hopefully they can't swim." He takes off with the boat, knocking Keikyoku out of the way. "Now, we go to Station Square."
Deloth: "You. Angel-boy. Help me grab him."
Dragoshi: *Just silently watches this all go on.* :/
Metal Man (GM): The movement of the boat knocks people around. On the boat.
Keikyoku turns green and reaches for a bucket.
Metal Man (GM): Keikyoku finds his... bucket.
Keikyoku hides in his closet.
Deloth smirks and casually starts walking down to said closet.
Jack: "Away... we go."
Flaeyn: "... First attempt at tentacle rape... then the closet..."
Keikyoku locks it from the inside.
Deloth: "Kei, seriously, don't make me blow the door off of its hinges."
Dragoshi: "...Del is really falling into metaphorical pits..."
Deloth: "Just come out and take your water-dunking like a man."
Jack: "No damaging the boat! My precious gold statues might sink us all if you rock it too much... But there's no secret that you can't lock a closet from the inside..."
Deloth: *Looks at the closet like he's trying to figure out what to explode.*
Flaeyn just watches, then looks to Jack. "So, where are we dropping the statues off?"
Jack: "Do it on the pail."
Deloth steps to the side, Explodes the bucket, and calls it a day.
Metal Man (GM): The closet becomes exploded with puke. Not flammable. But now there's no bucket and puke everywhere inside it.
Jack: "I can afford powerwashing with these statues."
Deloth: *walking back.* "I am now fully healed."
Dragoshi: "Heh..."
Digifanatic: "Ah..."
Jack: "We're going to Station Square."
Deloth cracks his knuckles and takes a seat with a bigass grin on his face.
Digifanatic: *to Dragoshi.* "I told him to wait until we introduced Kei to Julian."
Keikyoku comes out of the closet and lays down on the deck.
Jack: "The crazy archaeologists are loaded. They'll pay me for them."
Digifanatic: .oO(OH FOR THE LOVA...)
Flaeyn: "Station Square, alright then."
Jack: "Then I'll go very far away and you can buy some ship for yourselves. And this will be our little secret."
Deloth: "Somebody throw the rat overboard. He smells."
Keikyoku: "You smell."
Flaeyn: "Get along already..." He sighs.
Digifanatic: "No, you."
Jack: "Yeah, no fighting on my boat." He taps his spear. "Only off my boat."
Deloth: "Technically, lifting someone up very gently and dropping them into open ocean isn't fighting."
Dragoshi: "Yeeeaaa...'Sides. I just want a kinda-sorta-possibly peaceful ride on the way back. Sheesh."
Flaeyn looks into the horizon, then up into the sky. "I have to be somewhere." Flaeyn would then take flight...
Digifanatic: .oO(I wish I could do something like that...)
Dragoshi: "...'k." *Just... boredly plays with his gavel.* :x
