Super Smash Quest² - Story - Chapter 17: Teleporter Confrontation

Date: November 19th, 2008.
Metal Man (GM): The Questers are in 'Port Royal', in the 'Away Base' of 'Carrington Institute', even though, as the people they've met so far say, the people on this continent and possibly others came from other dimensions or worlds.
Deloth stands facing away from the others, arms crossed. "Uh... guys?"
Metal Man (GM): Specifically, Mr. Trevor and his group are from one place, and the people of 'New Chicago' another. Trevor and his group spend most of their time terrorizing the 'New Chicago' group, hence their conflicts so far.
Dragoshi: "...yes?"
Deloth: "Look, if I've been ragging on you guys lately, I apologize. I've been having a bit of a breakdown lately, but..."
Metal Man (GM): The Questers are all in the office of Daniel Carrington, who is explaining these things to them. At least some of them expressed an interest in aiding the institute and in general the Federal Alliance, despite their former ties to Trevor...
Deloth turns around and points to this symbol ( http://dmfa.wikia.com/wiki/Image:JaFellClanLogo.png ) on his shoulder. "...Did you REALLY have to tattoo me in the middle of the night?"
Dragoshi: "...I have no idea what you're talking about."
Metal Man (GM): Daniel Carrington is at his desk. He was talking, but took a moment to get some coffee. As Deloth was speaking, thankfully, he was too busy preparing a cup for himself. John Dark left the area, apparently on urgent business.
Daniel Carrington: "So..." *Clears throat.* "As we were speaking... some of you wanted to aid me and the alliance against Trevor... even though you formerly helped him? You said you were 'duped', just like many people we have found were duped by him..." He looks through some paperwork. "But that's the issue."
Deloth: *muttering.* "Well, someone must have done it..."
Daniel Carrington: "He is onto something quite deadly... if we do not act fast... he will destroy all who oppose him quite quickly."
Metal Man (GM): He shows everyone a picture of... well. It looks quite harmless. A terminal box with two electrodes on the top.
Daniel Carrington: "He's been building these machines all around the place. They look harmless, but..."
Metal Man (GM): He shows another picture. The machine is engaged. There's a portal floating over it.
Daniel Carrington: "Guess what he does with this."
Metal Man (GM): He shows you another picture. An entire helicopter flies out. Men. Guns. Material.
Deloth: *flatly.* "Oh, joy."
Daniel Carrington: "He's doing something else. We identified some strange device being built... we don't know what it is for, because the portals already fit his wishes."
Deloth: "Brings in troops from everywhere else to steamroll over everyone in his path?"
Metal Man (GM): He shows a third picture. A quite massive portal being built by those train tracks the Questers were on. The machine faces New Chicago.
Daniel Carrington: "Besieged by teleporting men and machines and death helicopters, even the help of your statue is nothing. This man is a mad genius."
Aribar simply sighs; they have really screwed things up.
Daniel Carrington: "Our agents have been disabling these boxes left and right, and using our own most sophisticated flying vehicles to intercept theirs, but... it is a stalemate, rapidly tilting in their favor."
Deloth elbows Ari. "Seriously. Who tattooed me?"
Daniel Carrington: "So. If you are to help us..."
Metal Man (GM): He smirks.
Daniel Carrington: "We need you to get to that big machine, and destroy it, and, hopefully, the others. Lest it actually be completed... and I don't even know how they're building so fast..."
Aribar: "Oof." *The half-elf takes a step back from Deloth and shrugs.* "I have no idea, Deloth."
Daniel Carrington: "The large machine has been reported 'teleporting in, piece by piece', making it hard to sabotage."
Aribar look to Daniel. "If these portals are warping in war equipment then I would imagine that he has contact with his home world, and thus a limitless amount of supplies."
Deloth casually puts both hands behind his back as he digs his claws into his palms.
Daniel Carrington: *Shakes his head.* "We checked, all the material is local or dates to the same original set of things which came with them to this world."
Deloth: *slightly strained voice.* "So what do you want us to bust up and how?"
Daniel Carrington: "He's been preparing for a long time. He just never had the technology to mobilize. Old, at least fifty year old weapons from our perspective were no match. Normal, blade-using helicopters could be shot down easily. Using ancient military techniques more like a long-gone imperial country we remember faintly in the past. He had to work in guerilla warfare, to do anything at all. So, if you help us, you are to visit him. Indeed. We shall give you a new shipment of guns to take to him. So you can claim you smuggled them. He is not aware of modern tracking devices yet..."
Deloth: "Wouldn't he be suspicious?"
Daniel Carrington: "...Nor does he know enough to tell a large bomb from a laser gun when they both use the same fabrication... Naturally. You are to just lead his suspicious gaze at the guns, not you. Say it was 'almost too easy' to get them. Give him the impression you yourselves are unsure. He needs more guns to base his material on--his mass-produced guns all replicate a slight flaw in one of the guns you got, and he has no machinegun lasers."
Aribar has a confused expression on his face. "Wait, you -want- the guns to appear suspicious?"
Daniel Carrington: "Then he will suspect the guns, not you. After all. You will tell him the guns are suspicious."
Aribar: "Oh, I see."
Daniel Carrington: "Indeed. Your story is quite real and easy to give. Which reminds me... you were with him before this happened... do you know about the teleportation? I assume you already know of the weapons, you match the description a handless operative gave us..."
Deloth swallows and looks away.
Aribar glances towards Deloth for a moment to determine if he would want the truth told or not...
Deloth: *Silence. What do you want him to do, say yes or no right here?*
Aribar: "When we were there, we saw Trevor doing some research on something that could teleport a short ways."
Daniel Carrington: "So, this research... do you know how he figured it out? Let us just say that... he was smart, but not so smart as to invent something like that. You obviously possess something that aided him. Or, if not you, somebody else did... See, if we knew how it was made, we could make our own, cancel it out, and destroy his advantage. Then perhaps you wouldn't even need to go on a dangerous mission to destroy some unusual... huge... machine."
Dragoshi: .oO(Well, that would be helpful...)
Deloth: "..."
Aribar: "We don't know how he made the machine from the data he recorded, but we do know -where- the data came from. At least I think we do?"
Aribar would look to Deloth. "Right?"
Flaeyn shrugs. "If only I knew your group's past experiences."
Deloth: "...Yes, I believe so."
Dragoshi: "Yep..."
Daniel Carrington: "If we could have that data, we could probably replicate it fast enough to stop him from using the large machine... freeing you to focus on Trevor alone. I do fear Trevor is too much for just one agent to take on--he has been reported fighting entire groups of attackers off--so that would leave you to help. So...?" He waits.
Flaeyn: "We can't honestly say no..."
Aribar decides to force the decision on their unlucky friend. "Deloth was there for the majority of the researching; if there is any useful information, he would know about it."
Dragoshi: "That he would."
Deloth shoots a glare at the others, then sighs. "Yes, sir. I know where he got that kind of technology from..." He then points a thumb at his own chest. "Ta-da."
Daniel Carrington: "So you can teleport? Well..." He leans a bit. "Then we can use that... perhaps... if you could go into the hologram room... and teleport... we could holographically determine the exact conditions. You see... Trevor's machines made a mistake... The teleportation is extremely wasteful of energy and appears to require very precise management of the destinations."
Deloth: "Want a demonstration?"
Daniel Carrington: "In the hologram room, yes."
Metal Man (GM): He gets up, to lead everyone to the elevator.
Daniel Carrington: "See, his version assumes you must have a teleporter at both ends. But there are not two of you, right?"
Digifanatic rushes in, presumably wandering for damage or something... "Sorry."
Deloth walks in tiredly.
Metal Man (GM): He walks into the elevator, and it goes down with everyone aboard, to the first floor.
Deloth: "Why is it that fate seems to want to kick me repeatedly now?"
Aribar follows Daniel. He keeps his eyesight off of Deloth and to the floor.
Deloth: "Not as far as I know." *sigh.* "Stand up, Ari. Nobody likes a slouch."
Metal Man (GM): He opens the door to a room. It's all black tiles, with white lines between them.
Deloth: "Look, I screwed up, okay? You didn't do anything except report the truth. So get over it."
Daniel Carrington: "Trevor is quite smart. I wouldn't blame you for it." *Inside the holographic room.* "Now. Just teleport. Inside the room, of course..."
Aribar: "We were simply used. Once again."
Daniel Carrington: "The holographic cameras will record everything. Then my technicians will get to work on an improved version. Although..."
Digifanatic: *walks in and keeps listening.*
Daniel Carrington: "The teleportation is a negative thing which should never be used on a large scale. The lands around Trevor's bases have begun to take incredible damage. It seems to deform whatever is between the warp points very subtly... So the hostile wasteland now is bent in various ways and looks like a giant ripped some areas in two."
Digifanatic: "Whoa. That's gotta look weird."
Deloth: "...Right. It might take a try or two."
Deloth steps out into the room and closes his eyes. C'mon, Vortex... "OW!"
Metal Man (GM): Deloth falls straight on his face.
Flaeyn: "..." He thumbs up. "Nice job."
Metal Man (GM): A holographic version of himself repeats this for everyone to see, next to him.
Deloth picks himself back up. "Shit, I DID this the first time..."
Daniel Carrington: "Er... try again?"
Metal Man (GM): A holographic Deloth appears and teleports shortly after he does. Then he shows, for comparison, what it looks like for Trevor's.
Daniel Carrington: "By capturing all the motion, we can see you are actually accelerating extremely fast. Trevor's system... deforms reality in-between the two points. With... a really large amount of electricity. It isn't very ideal."
Deloth: "So he screwed up."
Daniel Carrington: "Neither is good, though. Such high speeds cause one to eventually deviate THEMSELVES instead. Passing through objects can cause... DNA distortion..."
Metal Man (GM): He stares at Deloth knowingly.
Daniel Carrington: "That magic tattoo could have just as easily come from brushing past another universe while teleporting..."
Deloth: "..."
Daniel Carrington: "So Trevor's version offers safety for the user, but apparently destroys the land it hits instead. Well, this should be easy, then. We stick to the plan. You bring Trevor to the machine. But then you fight him, and we'll build a device to destroy Trevor's 'electro-tunneling' so as to cause any usage of his machines to make them explode... well, the ones in range. Of course, nothing we had was fast enough until we saw you teleport..."
Deloth: "Fight Trevor. The person that managed to blow up a psychotic dictator with an army and a mech."
Daniel Carrington: "Oh, well, you won't be alone. Agent Dark is closing in on him as it is. Er. Perfect Dark. The other Dark is busy making sure they don't set up shop any further in the city."
Deloth: "Ah."
Daniel Carrington: "I assume you agree? Unless you want to find out what that huge machine does by being on the wrong end of it..."
Deloth: *dryly.* "No, thank you, that's quite alright."
Digifanatic: "I don't want to be on the wrong end of it either..."
Dragoshi: "Quite."
Deloth: "I just REALLY wish I had known all this about Trevor beforehand."
Daniel Carrington: "You think that's bad. Nobody knows his name. Or what place he came from."
Aribar: .oO(At least I can console myself by knowing that I had reservations against him from the beginning.)
Daniel Carrington: "He's incognito and pulling favors we can't even understand. We even heard he almost obtained one of those... statues... and an undead army???"
Deloth: "Yep."
Daniel Carrington: "Anyway." A man in a lab coat pushes up to the Questers a bunch of suitcases.
Dragoshi: *Blinks, and looks at the suitcases.*
Digifanatic: "Huh?"
Daniel Carrington: "The suspicious weapons. You'll need these to distract his people. They'll be busy checking them. Then you can talk to him..." He looks at Deloth. "And inform him that Deloth can help him further, but only if you see the large machine with him, personally."
Deloth: "To iron out the flaws, of course. ...I'm wondering where the other thing I happened to do in his lab will play in."
Aribar: "What other thing was that again?"
Deloth: *...And doing so usually manages to make Del blast himself into a wall.*
Metal Man (GM): Deloth causes soda fizz to come out his fingers for a moment, then nothing.
Deloth: "...I swear that these powers are going on the fritz."
Metal Man (GM): Now he does it, but also right in front of himself, so he falls over backwards from it.
Daniel Carrington: "An explosion is an explosion..."
Deloth: "...Apparently I need to be frustrated to the point of aneurysm to do OOF."
Daniel Carrington: "And don't do it so close to the exploding guns."
Metal Man (GM): He hands Aribar a detonator.
Deloth growls and gets back up. AGAIN.
Daniel Carrington: "Press the button, and the weapons explode. Drop it, the weapons explode. Hand it to someone other than you guys, it explodes."
Deloth: "...Maybe I should just stay here, considering my success rate."
Daniel Carrington: "Then he wouldn't let you close to the machine. The machine and he and his men all need to explode for us to be rid of this madness. So... take the board you have up the coast with the weapons, and visit his large base... you can't miss it. I will be watching. I have agents holding back his advance. He plans to do something large soon, so please hurry."
Aribar nervously accepts the detonator. "I'll try to not preemptively blow us all up. I -can- put this thing in my pocket without it exploding, right?"
Daniel Carrington: "Yes."
Metal Man (GM): The way out and to the Quester boat is open.
Deloth heads out, drawing the very last of his pride around him like a really, really threadbare cloak.
Aribar puts the detonator into one of the pockets in his mantle before saying a goodbye to Daniel and following Deloth outside.
Dragoshi: *Just... slowly follows behind.*
Digifanatic: *walks out.* "I guess we've got to take the boat somewhere?"
Deloth: "Can someone tell me exactly when the goddess of fate decided she didn't like my style?"
Metal Man (GM): The Questers walk to the boat with no problem. All they have to do is go up the coast.
Flaeyn walks out, following the others.
Digifanatic: *walks into the pilot's seat and waits for the others, taking it up to where Daniel requested.*
Metal Man (GM): The Questers get to the boat... it's just up this side of the coast.
Deloth: *Gets on the boat. Whoo.*
Dragoshi: *Gets on that thar boat. I reckon.*
Aribar: "We've got to head to Trevor's base; Daniel said it was up the coast a little bit, Digi." *The mage gets onto the boat with the others.*
Digifanatic: "Yup, yup..."
Metal Man (GM): As the Questers take off, they see the city, and then begin to see that these terminals and Trevor's military have taken over the edge nearest to that train the Questers last took.
Deloth: "...Seriously, when?"
Digifanatic: "I can't answer that..."
Metal Man (GM): The Questers see a small, hastily made dock. The people there nearly open fire on them, until they realize it's the Questers. They motion for them to land. It's pretty much the dock Daniel was speaking of.
Aribar: "I apologize for what I did back there, Deloth, but I figured that if we were siding with this Carrington then we might as well go the whole way."
Digifanatic: *gets off and hops back onto land again.*
Deloth: "I told you, don't worry about it. Worry about not blasting us all to kingdom come." *Gets off of the boat and casually salutes the soldiers. Time to switch roles...*
Metal Man (GM): The Questers hop onto land. One of Trevor's men salutes them.
Flaeyn: "Hm? What's happening again?" The Grim Angel says, referring to the salute.
???: "I see it is you. Do you wish to speak to Trevor? He has been wondering what you have been doing... He is near here. Or. He will be soon. Your friend's great teleportation has given us unknown abilities."
Metal Man (GM): He points to a machine... the teleporter described before. The land behind it looks a bit melted and ripped, and sort of like it's been sliced with a huge plow.
Aribar: "Greetings, sir. We saw the smoke from across the sea on Mobius and wanted to come here to see what has happened."
Deloth nods. "We even brought a present. ...Interesting landscaping."
???: "We are nearing the success we need against the Federal dogs." The machine begins beeping. "Hm. There is an incoming person."
Metal Man (GM): He presses a button. BZKTBZTKSHTB ZKTHZBTK.
Aribar: "Aye, we accidentally landed at a Federal port... And managed to procure some--Gah!"
Dragoshi: "...What the-"
Metal Man (GM): A strange man flies out of the warp.
???: "Hm. I pressed the wrong button. Not again."
Flaeyn: "...An enemy?"
Andrew: "Sigh, I told them not to press the red button."
Deloth: "...you may want to make your portals a bit less noisy."
Andrew looks around.
???: "I don't know. It doesn't look very tough to me."
Metal Man (GM): There's snow, a vaguely Russian guy in a cold weather outfit, and a bunch of weird looking people, many of which who aren't human, near him... And some small military barracks structures.
???: "I have to wonder what happened to the other guy. Oh well. These machines are good as is."
Flaeyn: "Hm..?"
Andrew thinks ... With the insulter or the ones that look interesting...
???: "So, what did you procure?"
Andrew walks over to ze party. "Hi, I think I may be of aid to you guys, but we can talk later."
Digifanatic: .oO(Hmm... someone who might know what the heck my quasi-background is about!)
Aribar: "Ah, greetings." *The half-elf would probably look a bit odd; he looks like someone out of a renaissance festival. Slightly pointy ears, odd royal-blue garb, only one arm, a sword at his side...*
Andrew looks quite a bit odd too, with a slightly messed up lab coat and short hair.
Aribar turns to the guard. "Some federalist technology; some guns that Trevor hasn't had a chance to study. It was rather easy to get them, though."
Dragoshi: *Nods.*
???: "I'll get him over here."
Metal Man (GM): He presses some buttons on the machine.
Digifanatic: "Hello." *If you haven't read his description, think similar height (to Andrew), very casual looking... almost as if he's some random civilian in the midst of the crowd. Sure enough, though, he is with them.*
Deloth: *Meanwhile, Del looks like a grab bag of spare parts. Red fur, beige on the belly, same shade of beige on the (feathered) wings, cat ears, an EXTRA small set of wings on the head between the ears...*
???: "I do wish they'd stop warping the environment... one man was sliced in half by getting too close..."
Andrew notices Deloth.
Flaeyn looks sort of like a priest, very heavy looking robes and various golden ornaments patterned across his uniform. Long Raspberry hair, and black wings. "Why hello..."
Andrew: "Hmm, Did you get caught in a Chimera capsule?"
Deloth: "...a what?"
???: "Chi what?"
Digifanatic: "He's had a rough few days."
Flaeyn: "Chimeras--he's referring to beasts that look like a combination of many species."
Dragoshi: "That he has."
Andrew: "No one knows the classics anymo-- well almost no one."
???: "Oh. That reminds me, we're..."
Metal Man (GM): *CRACKLE-THOOOM.*
Trevor: "This had better be important."
Dragoshi: "...Oh, what now?!"
Flaeyn sighs. "I had to learn it before becoming a Grim Angel. Such a hassle."
Dragoshi: "...oh. I thought it was another bit of device weirdness."
Metal Man (GM): He puts out a small fire on one of his hairs. The machines aren't too stable.
Trevor: "Oh. It is the Questers. And a strange person."
Metal Man (GM): He turns to ???.
Trevor: "Didn't I tell you NOT to press that button! You know what happened when that sheet-wearing freak popped out... that was bad enough!"
???: "Er, uh, yes. My hand... slipped..."
Flaeyn: "Oh, it's Trevor. And his soldiers." He says, mimicking him back.
Deloth: "Sir, we happened to capture some extra technology."
Trevor: "Now... you... have something for me?"
Aribar: "Greetings, Trevor." *The half-elf tries to remain sincere. He does wince when he hears about a sheet-wearing freak, though.*
Trevor: "How strange. What is it? I didn't remember asking you to bring me anything... And no flying ship this time?"
Aribar: "Aye, we managed to capture a bit of Federalist technology when we accidentally stopped in the wrong port."
Trevor: "Let me see... I need to get a machinegun, those Feds are outgunning us still. It is annoying."
Aribar: "We're no longer traveling with the Echidnas; they are the ones that had the airship."
Dragoshi: *Nods.*
Aribar steps aside to let Trevor look at the guns.* "It was actually rather easy to get these things. The Federalists recognized us from earlier and put up a little bit of a fight; they didn't battle us for too long, however. They fled after a few men went down and we looted a warehouse filled with military supplies."
Trevor: "Hmmm..."
Metal Man (GM): He opens them up, and stares for a moment.
Trevor: "Well. I can't be sure. They look... different..."
Aribar looks about the scene; he checks if that crate of weapons is close enough to the teleporter to do any damage.*
Deloth: "Wouldn't that be a good thing? That way we know it's unexplored tech."
Metal Man (GM): They are, yes, however, then the Questers couldn't reach the big machine.
Trevor: "I shall have my men inspect it." He shuts the case. "They appear to be potentially either very good... or very bad."
Metal Man (GM): The big machine is in the distance. But this teleporter leads to it.
Deloth leans over and looks at said machine. "My, you've been busy."
Trevor: "But I appreciate the effort... Unless you have anything else, though, I'll have to go. I can't pay you for these yet... we're short on funds. Yes. It was hard to do without further test data, but one of my scientists found something to replace the missing information."
Deloth: "...Hrm... I have an idea."
Aribar: "Maybe we could go and look at it? Deloth could do some more tests, and Ian is rather good with machines."
Trevor: "Well..." He looks at it. "We are kind of stuck."
Metal Man (GM): He points to ???.
Trevor: "Carry the guns. We're going to The Machine."
Flaeyn: "'The Machine'?"
Metal Man (GM): He goes to the panel and types commands into it. Unlike ???, it appears he knows how to use this terminal, as a rather stable warp appears.
Andrew: "The Muffin."
Trevor: "This one... is far superior to anything this small machine can do... or the Feds. But it is so large, that I can't seem to turn it on..."
Digifanatic: "Muffin?"
Trevor: "...Without some additional technical help."
Andrew: "Everything sounds better with 'The' in front of it."
Flaeyn: "I'm quite fond of adding, 'ator' to everything. 'The, Machinator.'"
Digifanatic: "Huh..."
Aribar follows Trevor; he assumes that someone else will get the guns since he -does- only have one arm.
Metal Man (GM): ??? gets the guns. Aka Generic Lackey Guy.
Andrew tags along behind the elf.
Metal Man (GM): He turns on the warp and steps into it; so does the guy with the guns.
Flaeyn goes to help carry the guns.
Andrew: "So are you a mage? You look like the mage type."
Metal Man (GM): Flaeyn's allowed to help. ??? breathes a sigh of relief when Flaeyn takes some cases from him...
Digifanatic: *walks forward with the others.*
Metal Man (GM): The Questers warp. It's vaguely like being zapped by static shock 10 or 20 times in a row. They see the snow blur by.
Aribar: "Aye, I've very skilled with magic. However, I take my magical power from the elements around me. I haven't been in this world for very long, so my arcane arts aren't exactly the strongest here..."
Metal Man (GM): There is a strange man in the warp's path. *WHAM* That man is sliced in half as a weird tunnel hits him.
Trevor: "Not again... that's the third time this day."
Digifanatic: O_O
Flaeyn: "?!" He winces a second. "What the..?"
Deloth: "..."
Andrew: "Ah, I see. Area Damaging teleporting."
Flaeyn: "Area... damaging?"
Metal Man (GM): *SHBZKORK* The Questers appear atop a small tower, with two large electrodes on it, and a massive computer. It's all open; no roof.
Deloth swallows hard. He REALLY do not want to find out what happens if he pukes while in warp--oh they're there.
Dragoshi: "...yep."
Trevor: "The teleport is imperfect. We had to make an electron shield to protect people... otherwise it's like launching them so fast they turn into liquid. Although the prospect of executing people that way has helped prevent any further people from deserting my cause... Now..." He has ??? set the cases on the edge of the tower's catwalk, while walking over to the huge machine.
Metal Man (GM): It faces New Chicago; a whole ton of buildings and skyscrapers.
Flaeyn: "Interesting... We never had something like this in heaven." He sets the cases where ??? has set them, and follows along.
Digifanatic: "Nice view."
Aribar: "I must ask you, Trevor: why would you need something this huge?"
Andrew: "Angel person, Be thankful, I am slightly sick of working on computers all day."
Trevor: "Well... it's a secret. The problem I'm having is this machine won't boot up. It needs too much power. I need the original teleporting person to teleport again." He takes out some... instruments. "I need to measure something I missed in the initial measurement..."
Flaeyn: "Computers..." He says, puzzlingly. "Ah, right, those metal boxes you humans like to stare at all day."
Deloth: *Uh-oh.* "Hrm... Hey, Trevor, mind if I ask something?"
Andrew: "Hey, there is good things on those metal boxes. Like Wakkapedia."
Trevor: "What is it?"
Digifanatic: .oO(I thought it was Wikipedia, but...)
Andrew: "Pacman was disassembled and detailed. It is amazing."
Flaeyn: "...Wakkapedia? Sounds... lame."
Deloth: "How about if I try taking those guns with me when I teleport? We don't know if they might react with the warp after it gets changed, so it might be good to find out now."
Digifanatic: "What about Pacman?"
Dragoshi: "...Sounds ridiculous."
Andrew: "It's really quite interesting. Just like Fortunewiki. I have a hobby of fortune telling."
Digifanatic: .oO(Oh yeah, this guy's going to be fun.)
Trevor: "I've tested that before. They work fine. Plus..." He points at them. "They might be trapped. You might explode. Do you want to explode?"
Flaeyn: "Fortunewiki, Wakkapedia..." He says to himself. "Right... I'll keep those in mind."
Trevor: "It might be amusing."
Deloth: "I've done it many times before, sir."
Trevor: "Just... not too close to my teleporter... So... don't teleport near my teleporter... it could either cause a reaction, the guns to explode, or perhaps all three, destroying us all and this tower."
Metal Man (GM): He watches Deloth, waiting as he turns on some devices.
Deloth: "Besides, yes, you tried it before. But considering that you seem to be working with technology that alters reality here, I really think it might be a good idea to at least make sure."
Flaeyn: "Sigh. I don't think it's worth risking your life over it..."
Andrew: "No, go for it! Do it for scienc-- I mean, yeah, what the angel guy said."
Trevor: "So... teleport. Not too close to the teleporter. I know you might do that. But then you might blow us all up."
Digifanatic: *mutters to Flaeyn.* "I dunno, judging Deloth, suicide may not seem like a bad choice for him."
Trevor: "Even if the guns aren't explosive."
Andrew slaps Digi on the back of the head.
Flaeyn glares at Andrew. "Whoever told you to be yourself couldn't have given you any worse advice." He would then turn to Digi. "Hm? How so?"
Andrew: "It's not polite to say things behind someones back."
Digifanatic: "You probably should not have heard that. Don't worry, I wasn't talking about you." *grins.*
Flaeyn: "It was to you--I wasn't saying anything behind someone's back."
Digifanatic: "Honestly."
Andrew: "Flaeyn, at least I am not gossiping." *Smiles at Flaeyn.*
Flaeyn shrugs at Andrew's comment, and counters the smile with his almighty perma-frown.
Metal Man (GM): Trevor seems to be getting impatient.
Deloth: "...Could you tell them to quiet down first? It's very hard to get the concentration needed, and I've already blown it once today."
Trevor: "I should note, this position is vulnerable to sudden air attacks. Now we don't want to be up here too long... Uh... yes... be quiet... unless you guys wish to become the first victims of an accidental explosion that kills us all."
Aribar puts his hand into a pocket of his mantle; the one with the detonator. "And it's a bit chilly as well."
Digifanatic: "Okay, folks, let's get to business here..."
Deloth: *WHY ARE YOU PEOPLE NOT ATTEMPTING TO HELP ME IN ANY WAY* "Okay... here goes..."
Digifanatic: *shuts up and lets him focus.*
Flaeyn helps by doing the worm. >_>
Deloth takes a few deep breaths and silently attempts another Vortex while attempting to think of the next step in his Indy Ploy.
Metal Man (GM): Trevor gets a pretty nice reading on his devices.
Trevor: "Hm... of course! The wrong energy type was being used all the time!"
Deloth zaps closer to the Big Machine, grabbing a pair of suitcases en route.
Metal Man (GM): Deloth zaps closer to the machine. Trevor glances at him.
Trevor: "...And we didn't explode."
Deloth: "So I CAN carry cargo. Interesting."
Trevor: "Well done... now... just let me reprogram the machine... you are a bit reckless though..."
Andrew: "Hmm, must of distracted him."
Metal Man (GM): He goes to walk onto the catwalk to the machine in the center.
Deloth, meanwhile, is thinking "DETONATE NOW, DAMMIT, NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW."
Metal Man (GM): ??? leans on the other two cases, which sit on the edge. The suitcases of Deloth's are on the catwalk, near Trevor. A bit far away from the machine itself. Like, 5-6 feet.
Deloth casually follows Trevor, carrying the cases.
Metal Man (GM): The machine itself looks rather heavily armored. Apparently it's been the target of plenty of attacks... Trevor walks past Deloth, but then stops, and is in the way.
Aribar thinks this might be the moment... He tries to walk away from the ones the ??? man is holding and pretends to look off of the catwalk at the view.*
Trevor: "Er... could you take those to the edge? I am rapidly becoming suspicious of why you'd want them any closer to my machine..."
Andrew: "Why do I get the same feeling that I got before someone pressed the big red button?"
Deloth: "I just figured you might want to analyze them with your big computo-box over there."
Trevor: "Uh... no. Please back away."
Aribar keeps an eye on Deloth and wonders if he's going to get out of there or not...
Trevor: "You might want to capture the machine for yourself. No hard feelings, but..."
Metal Man (GM): He takes out a freaky gun.
Deloth: *Checks how close he is to Trevor.*
Flaeyn kinda inches towards ???, backing away slllooowwly.
Metal Man (GM): Deloth is 1 foot away from Trevor, in his face. ??? is idly laying near the briefcases on the edge.
Deloth: "Whoa, whoa, no need to get violent."
???: "So much hard work... never treats me right..."
Trevor: "Correct." He fires a shot over Deloth's head.
Deloth: *...Explode. Briefcases in hands as target.*
Metal Man (GM): *CRACKOOOOOM.*
Aribar thinks this is the time. Goodbye, Trevor. The arch mage closes his eyes and presses the button on the detonator while it is in his pocket.
Metal Man (GM): It... fires lightning.
Dragoshi: "...nice gun."
Metal Man (GM): The knockback knocks him back... The briefcases explode...
Andrew: "A lighting generator! Instant recharge time?"
Metal Man (GM): The catwalk Deloth is on disintegrates and he falls down below.
Andrew: "I have not seen one of those in years!"
Metal Man (GM): ??? is obliterated.
Deloth: *Vortex up like NOW.*
Metal Man (GM): Trevor gets a nasty brunt of it. Deloth teleports atop the machine. Trevor is bloodied... Flaeyn dodges the explosion of ???. The machine is unharmed.
Deloth then immediately starts Exploding EVERYTHING in sight if he makes it. Computers, machines, lights, ANYTHING that looks vulnerable.
Metal Man (GM): Deloth begins damaging the computers. While he does that, he is a sitting duck for... the still intact lightning gun. CRACKTHOOOOOOOM!!!!
Andrew: "Ah ha, you were going to blow it up! Why did you not say so?."
Trevor: "No one f#&ks with me."
Metal Man (GM): Alarms go off everywhere.
Aribar unsheathes his sword and advances towards the edge of the destroyed catwalk.
Andrew: "Hehe! Copy file attack on the Lightning Rod to the computer!"
Dragoshi: *Slides out his blade and charges at Trevor, attempting to steal the gun out of his hands after he's done lightning-ing the disco out of Del.* :x
Metal Man (GM): The destroyed catwalk's gap is a 10 foot one...
Aribar only approaches; he doesn't jump.
Metal Man (GM): Dragoshi would try to charge at Trevor, only to realize the villain's across a broken catwalk.
Dragoshi: *Nevermind.*
Aribar: "Give up, Trevor. I can return fire with a blast of lightning far more powerful than that."
Metal Man (GM): Deloth is blasted backwards and off the damaged computer. He takes not too much damage. Trevor dodges the mimicked gun shot.
Deloth bounces back to his feet. "Nice taser."
Dragoshi: *Just... watches, then.*
Trevor: "Give up? You should give up."
Metal Man (GM): He presses a button. The entire computer begins exploding wildly.
Dragoshi: "...Is that supposed to happen?"
Deloth: *Explode. The gun's power cell.*
Aribar: "I think he activated the teleportal!"
Flaeyn: "..." He looks at the gap between the sides of the broken catwalk, wondering if he can jump over to help the group.
Trevor: "I only needed one teleport... and this entire tower is filled with backup machinery... It's going to take all of New Chicago with it... and you as well."
Metal Man (GM): He rolls out of the way and shoots at Deloth again. Deloth dodges the lightning as it barely misses him.
Aribar gathers up the charges in the air around them and decides to not fool around any longer; the wizard unleashes a barrage of electrical blasts at Trevor!* (Four Lightning Eles)
Andrew tries to copy the laser gun at Trevor this time. "WARNING GLITCH IN FILE COPY."
Metal Man (GM): Andrew tasers himself as Trevor makes a motion. A helicopter can be heard
Andrew: "Oh dear." *Zztz!*
Dragoshi: "...Welp."
Trevor: "Oh... that reminds me..."
Metal Man (GM): He presses a button. *BAM.*
Deloth runs over and tries to grab and throw Trevor!
Metal Man (GM): The catwalk down blows up... and the outer ring catwalk is gonna blow, too! He and Deloth grab one another.
Aribar tries to leap over to the catwalk Trevor and Deloth are on!*
Andrew: "Teleport him over here!"
Flaeyn: "Damn... we definitely can't get over..."
Digifanatic is thinking about jumping as well...
Deloth: *Well, face to face... let's try a plain old groin kick.*
Trevor: "You want to hold me?" He fires the gun at Deloth.
Metal Man (GM): His gun gets in the way of the groin kick and is kicked away instead.
Aribar... tries to triple-jump by Wind Blasting the air beneath him!
Dragoshi: *Tries to do the same as Ari!*
Deloth immediately makes to stab him through the chest with his laser sword, then.
Metal Man (GM): The entire tower shakes violently... as Aribar falls off the tower... Dragoshi leaps across to meet Trevor and Deloth as they fight one another. Deloth stabs Trevor, but hits a flak jacket.
Flaeyn watches Dragoshi leap across, and attempts to as well.
Dragoshi: *Suddenly zooms over to Trevor and attempts to steal his little toy.* >_>
Metal Man (GM): Dragoshi grabs the dropped gun, then drops it over the side.
Dragoshi: "...eh." *Just draws out his sword.* :/
Metal Man (GM): Trevor takes the hit. He's still standing. He pushes away when Deloth stabs him.
Trevor: "Now... either you stop now... or this thing goes off, taking out the entire city and all of you."
Andrew: "I have to jump that?"
Deloth: "Shit, man, you've been eating your Wheaties."
Metal Man (GM): The catwalk below you is falling apart. Andrew sees Aribar down at the bottom... he's not looking so good.
Flaeyn has probably fallen to the bottom seeing as he failed jumping over.
Andrew: *Can he grab the elf and save him, only double jump can tell!*
Metal Man (GM): Flaeyn has fallen, indeed. Of course, thanks to the snow, he's not dead. Just KO'd for a while.
Trevor: "The top agent of Mi6 failed to kill me."
Andrew double jumps down to help the elf up.
Dragoshi: "...so?"
Flaeyn is so useful.
Deloth tries to knock Trevor off of his feet with a Light Pillar!
Trevor: "He pushed me off the side of a huge satellite dish."
Dragoshi: "...So?"
Trevor: "Anything you do is futile."
Aribar lets out a slight groan; the half-elf's mind isn't entirely focused at the moment.
Digifanatic: .oO(Sure about that, Trev?)
Metal Man (GM): Trevor's hit by the Light Pillar. Realizing that talk is cheap, he rips out a machinegun. Andrew leaps over to meet the others... he was too late to save Aribar.
Trevor: "I don't see why you're even trying... your attacks aren't any better than his."
Deloth jumps back and gets into battle position. Hey, they managed to rough him up before the battle per se.
Trevor: "The worst you might do is send me to another dimension."
Deloth: No, moron, we're going to draw and quarter you. And then I will PERSONALLY devour your soul to make sure that you do Not. Come. Back."
Metal Man (GM): http://www.vgmix.com/download.php?mode=song_hifi&band_id=616&song_id=931 (For this battle)
Trevelyan: "I am Trevelyan... your worthless remarks won't save you from death."
Andrew: "I am generic boss battle!"
Metal Man (GM): He takes out twin black machineguns and fires at Deloth, close-range.
Dragoshi: *Is flagrantly ignoring Trevelyan.* "Whatever..."
Metal Man (GM): He perforates Deloth. He then takes out a grenade and hurls it. Threatens everyone! Not... so... threatening though.
Deloth manages to dodge THAT, at least.
Digifanatic: *Kablooey.*
Metal Man (GM): And damage to Andrew... Dragoshi dodges.
Deloth: *That "Devour your soul" thing? Yeah, I'm doing just that.*
Metal Man (GM): Deloth devours the soul of nothing. Nothing I tell you! Trevelyan is rather damaged as he is.
Deloth: *Son of a bitch diceroller...*
Digifanatic gives Deloth his Regen Tonic to start off... then goes for a Fire Punch on Trevelyan.
Metal Man (GM): Hit.
Andrew: "Heh, I see how you work. Well almost." *Punches in a few buttons on his glove.*
Trevelyan: "Unlike that buffoon named Borne, I have failsafes. You won't like them."
Andrew: "INFECTTHIS scanning started."
Dragoshi: *Tries to steal the guns from Trevelyan, then run him through with his sword.*
Trevelyan: "Do not take my guns... unless you want to be hit by nothing other than grenades."
Metal Man (GM): Odd... wonder why he'd tell the Questers that. The Questers hear a helicopter... it's Trevor's helicopter.
Trevelyan: "Ah, yes. Now, to laser you to death."
Metal Man (GM): ...BOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!! The helicopter explodes. Another Carrington Institute flying aircraft... just crashed into it.
Dragoshi: *Blinks.* "...welp, there goes your stupid little helicopter."
Trevelyan: "...You betrayed me for them."
Dragoshi: "So we did."
Deloth: "...Perfect Dark, I presume."
Trevelyan: "Well, I guess this really does mean my failsafe."
Dragoshi: "What of it?"
Andrew: "Ah, adventure!"
Metal Man (GM): He runs for the gap and leaps like a madman.
Trevor: "Nrgh... stupid..." Is all the Questers hear.
Metal Man (GM): He vanishes over the side. The Questers hear someone speak from the helicopter.
Joanna Dark: "Get in! This thing's going to explode! Or... more accurately... we're going to blow it up before it does so normally."
Deloth: "Yes, ma'am!"
Dragoshi: "Understood." *Gets in. >_>*
Deloth gets in, grinning like a madman.
Andrew said the above and runs to the helicopter.
Joanna Dark: "Sorry we can't do anything about Trevor... there is a good chance he may survive the fall..."
Andrew: "Why not drop an extra bomb down there?"
Deloth: "This'll at least cripple his efforts, right?"
Digifanatic: "Okay, then!" *heads in.* "I like his idea..."
Metal Man (GM): The Questers get in. The helicopter lifts off... they can see the whole tower now. A massive portal appears above the tower.
Dragoshi: "Then we'll just have to crush him ourselves after this is over, then."
Joanna Dark: "Well... okay..." She gets on the radio. "Fire at will!"
Metal Man (GM): The helicopter flies away as Trevor's tower explodes. Violently.
Andrew: "Erm, wait, where did the elf get off to?"
Metal Man (GM): Hm... missing something?
Deloth: "Bomb the teleporter too!"
Metal Man (GM): The tower has been obviously leveled, including the teleporter to it. The shockwave seems to cause a few other explosions in the distance.
Joanna Dark: "We've hit what we could... " She looks at you. "...Aren't some of you missing?"
Deloth: "...ARI!"
Dragoshi: "...ah, dammit. I knew we forgot someone."
Deloth runs to the side of the copter and looks down at the wreckage...
Metal Man (GM): Hm... Flaeyn, Aribar, and Trevor all fell down at the base of the tower...
Digifanatic: "Flaeyn's down with him, too..."
Metal Man (GM): Deloth looks at the wreckage. Luckily, the base wasn't too destroyed... only buried in wreckage. Also luckily... it didn't fall on top of that area, but to the other side.
Andrew: "Oh dear... Hope they are ok."
Deloth: "Can you pull the chopper down? We need to get them out..."
Joanna Dark: "Well, okay, but I'll have to pick you up later. I need to shoot down another of Trevor's helicopters. It's getting dangerously close to the city."
Dragoshi: "Understood."
Metal Man (GM): The helicopter lands in the snow, amongst freshly melted snow, and flaming metal debris.
Andrew: "Sure."
Deloth: "Got it. Any secondary objectives you want us to do while we're down here?"
Dragoshi: *Quickly gets out to search for Ari and Flaeyn. Hoo boy...*
Digifanatic: *hops out.*
Deloth jumps out of the copter. "I really, really, really hate collapsing towers."
Joanna Dark: "...Make sure nothing important of his remains there for someone else to find."
Deloth: "Got it."
Metal Man (GM): The helicopter flies off. The Questers see the huge, flaming wreckage.
Deloth takes off towards the approximate location of where Ari and Flaeyn were.
Metal Man (GM): It seems endless... Deloth runs over.
Deloth: *It probably is endless. Damn quantum physics.*
Metal Man (GM): Deloth and the others sees the shape of Aribar in the snow. And Flaeyn. Apparently they fell deeply into an icy snow area, so they didn't get killed. However, the problem is only their outlines remain...
Deloth starts digging.
Andrew: "Can't you teleport them out?"
Deloth: "I don't know where they ARE. And I'm not sure if I can carry someone with me."
Metal Man (GM): Deloth eventually makes a passageway into a small, dark ice cave. It's too dark to see without a light in here. They fell quite a ways down.
Andrew joins Deloth in digging. "Might as well help then."
Deloth takes out his laser sword and lets it do its glowy magic.
Digifanatic tries to dig the snow out as well...
Metal Man (GM): It lights up the cave. There are footprints and a place where they landed. The footprints lead away from where they landed, deeper into the cave... Hm. There's a metal thing sticking out of the left wall.
Deloth glances over at that.
Metal Man (GM): It's smooth... feels hot to the touch.
Digifanatic: *checks out the metallic thing.*
Deloth: "Digi, duck."
Dragoshi: *Takes out his laser sword. Yanno, for the sake of more light sources.*
Deloth Explodes the metal thingy and follows the footprints.
Digifanatic: *ducks.*
Metal Man (GM): Deloth blows apart the lightning gun. Awww. It had landed in the snow. He also reveals the shiny metal wall of the very base of the tower. The Questers follow the footprints. There is an open, light area; apparently something big fell. It's covered in snow.
Deloth Explodes that, too.
Metal Man (GM): Deloth blows up the snow. The arm of the ??? guy flies out at Deloth and hits the ground.
Deloth: "...Wow."
Metal Man (GM): There's another area to the left. It looks to have been covered in snow on purpose. Hand prints are in the snow.
Deloth carefully sweeps some of the snow away...
Digifanatic: *cautiously walks forward trying to stay out of Deloth's way.*
Metal Man (GM): Deloth sweeps it off. The teleportation machine. It fell down when the catwalk did.
Deloth: "...Son of a bitch."
Metal Man (GM): Trevelyan leaped off to get to it.
Deloth frustratedly blasts that into smithereens, too. "That low-down, no-good, rat's ass SON OF A BITCH..."
Metal Man (GM): Deloth tries to, but it does not budge. Well. Actually. It does.
Andrew helps with the leftover Infectthis log attack.
Metal Man (GM): It is knocked over, revealing the path he took. Probably straight to his base. But it'd be a very long walk. There's blood on the machine; it is evident that he had been injured badly by the Quester attack. A simple, bloody note, is in the snow next to it.
Digifanatic: *reads the note.*
Dragoshi: *NOTE READING START.*
Metal Man (GM): 'WARP ME TEN FUNCTIONAL ENERGY CELLS AND YOU WILL GET YOUR FRIENDS BACK UNHARMED. NOTE THAT THEY WILL BE USED TO POWER THE MACHINE TO SEND THEM BACK, SO IF THEY ARE BAD... YOUR FRIENDS DIE. IF THE FEDS MOVE WITHIN 10 MILES OF MY HQ... YOUR FRIENDS ALSO DIE.'
Deloth: "Like death'd stop us..."
Metal Man (GM): It is signed... in blood. Trevelyan.
Dragoshi: "...yea, that idea'll fail hilariously."
Deloth casually stomps on Trevelyan's name, smudging it into illegibility.
Metal Man (GM): Of course. He spoke of using teleporters to kill people.
Andrew: "So, shall we save them? By the way, I'm Andrew."
Metal Man (GM): One has yet to know if Questers would survive that.
Deloth: "Hello, Andrew, I'm a big fat screwup."
Metal Man (GM): Some people follow in behind the Questers. It's some Carrington Institute people.
Deloth frustratedly slumps against a wall.
CI Soldier: "Hey. You guys look injured. We saw what happened. What... is with that machine there?"
Deloth: "I can't believe this. Now we're in a hostage situation..."
Dragoshi: *Is perfectly fine.*
Deloth: *Injured pretty badly, thanks.*
CI Soldier: "Joanna said the man leaped off when she intervened. Apparently he got away as only he had planned... Did you find the missing men?"
Deloth: "Trevelyan got away with two of our friends. If we don't deliver ten energy cells, he'll kill them."
CI Soldier: "Well..." He shrugs. "We blew up the tower. We can spare ten energy cells."
Deloth: "But THEN what?!"
CI Soldier: "Trevor... er... Trevelyan's... teleporters can't be used against us anymore."
Deloth suddenly wheels around to face the CI people.
CI Soldier: "If he has ten energy cells, they will be useless..."
Deloth: "Then he'll just think of something else! Dammit, we have to KILL him, not just placate him!"
CI Soldier: "Of course." He looks to you guys. "You came close that time. Think about the odds when we can reinforce you this time."
Andrew: "Will not work, he plans to use the teleporter to send them back. I think we have to go in."
CI Soldier: "Uh... it isn't like we have an anti-teleporter field, so he can use them to send them back. Then we can just destroy any other teleporter activity, and in fact blow up this one and the other one."
Deloth: "And if he has a backup plan?"
Andrew: "Are we really going to trust a bad guy not to double cross us?"
CI Soldier: "No. But... you don't have much choice. He's done this to us before. It's how he built up so quickly... to an extent."
Dragoshi: "How annoying."
Deloth: "..."
CI Soldier: "Without our teleport jammer, he was able to kidnap high level officials and demand all kinds of things. Just not fancy guns. We managed to get him off that. It cost us a few good people, though."
Deloth: "I just can't believe that this was all my fault. But. The time for moping around isn't now. I'll cry later."
Andrew: "It's not. We'll talk later."
CI Soldier: "Anyway, we have a transport here, and we can get you cleaned up and those energy cells... could I see the note?"
Digifanatic: "Deloth... stop putting yourself down."
CI Soldier: "We've been analyzing his psychology. We can figure out what flies and what doesn't based on his wording..."
Deloth: "My apologies for rubbing out the name."
Digifanatic: "Well... hang on." *picks up the note.* "Yeah." *hands it over.*
CI Soldier: "He has a rather... poor grasp of English and unconsciously allows for some things to be... less than they seem."
Metal Man (GM): He reads it.
Dragoshi: "I... see."
Deloth: "Ian. Again, I'll worry about it later. For right now, I'm not thinking about it."
CI Soldier: "Okay, so, he uses the energy cells to send them to us. But what if they break only after five uses? He won't have time to check that..."
Andrew: "He never said they would be alive when he sends them."
Digifanatic: "Fine."
CI Soldier: "Well, if they're already dead, there isn't much we can do about that now..."
Deloth: "Please, Andrew. Death is a slap on the wrist."
CI Soldier: "Anyway. I should tell you... the city is now free of his influence."
Deloth: "Hallelujah."
Digifanatic: "That's good."
Dragoshi: "Well, at least there's one plus out of this whole mess."
CI Soldier: "Joanna planted bombs all up and down his place, and you distracted him."
Deloth: "Joanna... Agent Perfect Dark?"
CI Soldier: "By the time he alerted things, you already blew it off... he nearly got away with the teleporter, but you gave us just enough time... Yes. If she hadn't, he might have actually gotten away with that weird warp machine. You took out the top level, but he had several others, and some safeguards he could have activated. But they were all disabled while he was busy arguing with you... Nothing is perfect, but we can at least drive him back to his base at the worst. Now... let's get out of this icy tomb for now." He goes to walk out. He leaves two guards to stand by the machine so it isn't tampered with.
Deloth: "Right. Maybe I can patch myself up some..."
CI Soldier: "There's a lot of supplies at the ship."
Dragoshi: *Just silently follows behind.*
Deloth nods and silently walks along.
Digifanatic: *goes along.*
Deloth: "...Interesting life we lead sometimes."
Digifanatic: "Oh yeah."
Andrew: "It seems so. How can I sign up?"
Metal Man (GM): The Questers reach the helicopter. There's bandages, med kits, some food, etc.
Deloth: "You already have. Welcome to the crew."
Metal Man (GM): Aka a health recharge point. This also counts for the hostages. Why it counts for them will be revealed later.
Deloth takes a seat and begins doing the old first-aid routines he knows so well by now. Bandage. Disinfect. Suture.
CI Soldier: "Oh, yeah. You guys also did a lot of nice work for us, and we technically owe you one."
Metal Man (GM): +1 EXP, +20 coins to all (Yes, even hostages.)
Dragoshi: *Just snacks on an apple.* :x
Deloth: "Thanks."
Metal Man (GM): +1 extra EXP to Deloth (for doing ninety bajillion things.)
Deloth: "...Amazing how quickly you lose a fear of needles when you're doing this." *carefully sutures up another wound.*
Andrew: "Why not use your teleportation to remove any infection and or dirt, or do you lack the control for microbes?"
Digifanatic: "So you're Andrew? I'm Ian."
Deloth: "...I think I'm barely able to control this teleporting as is, let alone have that much use over it. Anyways." *extends a hand to shake.*
Digifanatic: "I realize you probably encountered us at such a strange time, but if you find us to be interesting, please be willing to stay."
Deloth: "You may never be rich, but you will live a life of infinite variety."
Andrew shakes Deloths hand.
Digifanatic extends a hand as well.
Andrew: "Better than my boring desk job, I always wanted to be a mad scientist anyway."
Andrew shakes Digi's hand. "You look like a Brandon, am I close?" you.
Digifanatic: "No, no, Ian."
Andrew: "Eh, I was close."
Digifanatic: "Heh. I won't charge anything against you on that one."
