Super Smash Quest² - Story - Chapter 50: Statue Intrigues
Date: March 14th, 2009.
Metal Man (GM): The group is at the still under construction HQ. There is literally nothing going on at the moment.
Metal Man (GM): All that is left on the group's mind may be... well... Deloth's weird hearing of those... phantom thoughts. Wonder what those could have signified?
Deloth is currently pacing back and forth in one of the hallways, deep in thought. "I don't get it. Who could have sent those thoughts?"
Digifanatic: "No idea. The problem is we have no idea what kinda radius that works off of."
Aribar has found some finished room of the stadium and has taken residence in it. Sleeping!
Metal Man (GM): Aribar is possessed by a fey mood! He demands iron!
Digifanatic: "But yeah, Panz and I had an interesting conversation trying to figure out the tables part."
Metal Man (GM): Just kidding.
Digifanatic: "I don't think you gave us much detail about it."
Deloth: "That's something else, too. Why is Panzer suddenly so... calm?"
Metal Man (GM): The Engineer walks over.
Engineer: "I dunno. Maybe the other robot-people do."
Digifanatic: "Not sure. I thought it was a reprogramming or something."
Engineer: "I'll be finished in another day or two... this stadium building business is tricky."
Aribar dreams about elephants and carps rising to take over the world... Does a dream count as a thought?*
Digifanatic: "A day or two, very nice."
Metal Man (GM): thought? Yes.
Rinith: "Can't wait."
Deloth: "...I think Ari's snapped..."
Digifanatic: "Or he's messing with you. Is he speaking? Like, you hear his voice?"
Metal Man (GM): Aribar's loud snore answers Digi's question.
Deloth: "...There's your answer."
Digifanatic: "Ahh. It's Aribar. He's probably just screwing around with you."
Metal Man (GM): Panzer overhears people wondering why she is calm. That definitely is unusual.
Engineer: "What crazy adventure are you gonna do today anyway, Questers? You keep figuring out the strangest things..."
Panzer has erected a small table... Well. The engineer helped her and she was sitting on a nice, thick piece of log behind the table with some papers and a chart or two, freshly drawn, writing stuff. She looks up briefly, ears registering her name. She listens a moment and does... Nothing. She goes back to her charts and papers.
Aribar is woken up by his snoring.* "Eh, what?" *He yawns and slowly gets up. Casting dozens of spells and dying takes a good bit out of a Quester.
Deloth: "...I'm going to go find Panzer and interrogate her, just to make sure nothing's gone horribly wrong." *He slips off and starts hunting.*
Digifanatic: "Ari, Deloth thought you were going off the deep end. Some weird thing he attributed to you. I just think you're teasing him."
Metal Man (GM): Deloth finds Panzer. About 10 feet away.
Dragoshi: "Say, guys... Didn't Jack mention something about going to find those golden statues that used to power up that prophetic temple thing seeing as they're pretty much nothing more than collector's items waiting to be sold now? Or at least something like that..."
Metal Man (GM): Not terribly hard to find.
Panzer is the only reploid sitting at a desk in the middle of Podunkville, Nowhere near the intersection of fields and more fields.
Aribar: "Going off the deep end? Teasing? I think I was just delirious from blowing up a grenade right in front of my face!"
Engineer: "Yes. ...I don't know who he is or what those are, but I guess it has a story behind it for your next adventure."
Deloth: "Panz, can we talk?"
Digifanatic: "Jack's... an odd guy."
Panzer puts down her graphite stick and looks up. "What about?"
Aribar: "And I have no idea, Dragoshi. I don't remember hearing about Jack since we were going up to Red Text's satellite."
Dragoshi: "I suppose. But, we are kinda short on cash..."
Deloth: "Why are you so dang CALM all of a sudden? What happened to you?"
Panzer: "Nothing happened to me. Standard OS procedure."
Dragoshi: "So, maybe if we help him search for those things, he'll give us a piece of the pie. Know what I'm saying?"
Deloth: "No, seriously. What, did Vile overwrite your memory or something?"
Metal Man (GM): Jack was last somewhere in the Mobius area.
Deloth takes one of those pieces of paper and looks at it.
Digifanatic: "That'd be nice, Dragoshi."
Panzer: "No. My CPU and memory devices are too heavily encoded with constantly changing typs, sets, and multiplications of codes and passwords."
Aribar: "I do not like dealing with Jack, but I must agree that money would be nice to have. It is especially nice to have when your spellbooks poof back to Robotnik when you don't pay his fees!"
Deloth: "...Did you get your wiring scrambled when you died or something?"
Deloth stares at the paper and flips it upside-down, trying to decipher it.
Dragoshi: "Heh. I'd imagine."
Metal Man (GM): The Medic wanders over.
Deloth: "...And now you're writing in some crazy moon language."
Medic: "Ach! Dumkopf!"
Metal Man (GM): He smacks the back of Deloth's head.
Medic: "Das ist German, not moon language!"
Panzer: "I told you, I'm fine, really. I don't know what's -" She chuckles at the medic. "Well. He knows what it is."
Deloth growls. "Fine. Can YOU read this?"
Medic: "It is a bit complex, but ja." *He looks at the paper, with his native knowledge of German.*
Panzer also has a ridiculous way of signing her name for some reason.
Medic: "Ach, this is nothing you'd care about." He sets the paper down where it came from.
Panzer: "Deloth, it's just the old type of calligraphy. It's easy to read once you get the hang of it, correct Medic?"
Medic: "But it is not moon language. Moon language is... what he writes!" He points at the Engineer.
Metal Man (GM): The Engineer chuckles, and holds a paper covered in complex mathematical symbols.
Medic: "Ja, just a little tricky in spots."
Engineer: "With my calculations, I have detected there is life on this moon."
Panzer: "You should ask him the equation for brushing your teeth." She pulls a Dragoshi and snrks. "OR ask him what nightmares he has about getting attacked by square roots."
Engineer: "Of course, I can't go up there..."
Dragoshi: "Yeah. We'd kinda need the proper equipment for that kind of thing."
Engineer: "This moon is not entirely dead like the one from my world."
Panzer: "I've been on the moon."
Engineer: "There's... pockets of oxygen... which keep throwing off my sky sensors!"
Panzer: "It's not very exciting."
Dragoshi: "...huh. Peculiar."
Panzer: "Though if you compress the metal found there with enough dust you get some spectacular bullets."
Engineer: "Moon bullets would be quite useful."
Aribar: "I can't recall... We have been up in space, but have we ever been to this moon?"
Dragoshi: "We haven't."
Panzer picks up her graphite stick and writes out an equation for the ratio of dust to types of metal and hands it to Engie.
Engineer: "Your ship's in tip top shape, so. Feel free to visit somewhere and bring me a post card." *He looks at it.* "Yes... there are many rare materials on the moon."
Panzer: "You can read it right?"
Panzer looks at Deloth. "You're not doing a very good job of interrogating me, you know."
Deloth: "You keep stonewalling. What happened to your crazy self?"
Deloth: "The one that used to shoot me in the head for a minor offense?"
Panzer: "Upon compiling data of myself before I died, I saw myself as inefficient with the lax way I had become. Thus I recalibrated to my original, factory standards. This is what I'm -supposed- to be like."
Engineer: "I can read it, yes."
Deloth: "...Wait, so THIS is your real personality?" *raises an eyebrow.*
Engineer: "As I said, I think those robot guys you speak of could figure this thing out for you, Deloth. It's quite obvious some programming change occurred."
Deloth: "...I don't buy it, Panzer."
Panzer: "Yes. I triggered my master reset switch. I don't have a way to prove this to you. You don't have anything for me to print out the coding I processed to let you see what happened."
Engineer: "And I don't have a degree in robots from the future. Not yet."
Panzer takes out a chip and hands it to Engie. "All you need to know for said degree."
Deloth: "Fine... but I'm keeping an eye on you."
Panzer looks at Deloth. "Very well. You need to keep an eye on RT too."
Engineer: "Hm. Mind if I study it?" He gets a magnifying glass. "The transistors on this... they're invisible!"
Panzer: "I'm the least of your problems." She looks back at Engie. "There are no transistors. You can keep it. I have it all backed up on my storage."
Metal Man (GM): He takes it.
Engineer: "I will need a new magnifying glass to see what this is made out of..." He walks off.
Metal Man (GM): It's a pretty low key day, isn't it? But of course... that doesn't stand to stay that way.
Panzer tries to call RT. "I still can't get them to watch you like they should."
Digifanatic: "He's not our enemy anymore, Panz. Get over it."
Red Text: 'Oh. Well. I've been watching you. And there's enough electromagnetic fields around your position to crush you into a tiny little ball. Just thought I should warn you. Something strange is following you.'
Panzer: "Uh-huh. You know I help make some of those... Following? Define. Type of thing?"
Red Text: 'Class A Interdimensional thing. And to think, I can't make it vanish with the power of the planet anymore.'
Deloth: "...Can we get rid of it?"
Red Text: 'It's right on the edge of your camp. You tell me.'
Panzer: "Sounds exciting. Is it a threat right now or is it just following?"
Aribar listens in on this conversation and thinks back to the odd screaming and such they heard the other day.*
Deloth: "Crap. I'll go take a look."
Digifanatic: "Is there any physical appearance you've identified before we check it out?"
Panzer scans the perimeter.
Deloth pulls out both his swords and heads outside, looking around.
Aribar would go to follow Deloth.
Digifanatic: *sighs and follows.*
Metal Man (GM): Panzer would detect the strange traces of a man-like being that is not visible... out there. Walking outside the Questers encounter some strange crackling noises and a vague silhouette.
Dragoshi: *Just... silently follows along.*
Panzer tries to more accurately pin point the spot it's near and switches between all her visions modes to detect it better.
Deloth: "Identify yourself." *ducks into battle position.*
Metal Man (GM): It centers in front of Deloth and Digi.
Aribar would mutter the incantation for a spell under his breath; a Sensory spell so that he can see the being better. Or at least know more about it.*
???: "M???p ???F ???p." *Static.* "Fffffff??????" *Static.*
Digifanatic: .oO(Why must its appearance be so cryptic?!) "Hello?"
Metal Man (GM): Aribar and Panzer center their glances at it and better detect the words.
???: "Help, I am trapped between words and cannot get through to you."
Aribar: "Panzer, did Red Text say if this being is dangerous or not?"
Panzer: "Friend or foe?" She scratches her chin a little. "He didn't answer my question on the topic, no."
Metal Man (GM): Worlds? Words? Who knows, his communication is fuzzy.
Aribar: "I can possibly fix your problem, but we must know more about you."
???: "If I were a foe I would have forked you frobbs ffffffffff hello hello hello okay."
Deloth: *Tries to pick up the being's thoughts.*
Metal Man (GM): Deloth gets an image of television static and someone in pain.
Deloth: "...I'm not getting much, but this guy is in serious pain."
Panzer: "Are you stuck between dimensions or between continuums?"
???: "Something something like thaasss. Iiiif you could fffind me an ooobject I could come in and talk tetter toob tttttfffffff..."
Aribar: "What kind of object?"
Panzer: "I believe it means it wants something to inhabit to speak through better." She looks around for one of TF2's radios.
???: "I I IIIIIII lab Dr. Eggmaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh."
Metal Man (GM): There's one laying on a table.
Digifanatic: "Robotnik's lab... well, guess we gotta leave the island anyways."
Panzer gets it and takes it to Deloth to put near the static. "I don't want to get too close. It might infect me."
Deloth: "What? What about Robotnik?"
Dragoshi: "I suppose so."
Deloth: "..." *He grabs the radio and approaches the guy.* "Will this work?"
Panzer sits back down on her log behind her desk. "Might have to tune it for him."
Metal Man (GM): The radio picks it up and screeches a bit.
???: "I I ay ay ay!!!" *SQUEEK* "I cannot... control this... iiiiit is too... small!"
Panzer: "Engineer, got a bigger radio?"
Engineer: "'Fraid not, the large one I'm building here is at least a day out. Wait a minute." He looks at the disturbance. "That's a radio disturbance there? Seems strangely person-shaped."
Aribar: "I -could- possibly get it into this dimension..."
Panzer: "You there, static. What other kind of application can you use?"
???: "Dr. Eggman's laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa."
Metal Man (GM): It cuts out suddenly. The disturbance vanishes.
Panzer: "RT. What's at the lab he can use?"
Rinith: "Seems like we have some one we have to pay a visit to."
Red Text: 'Dr. Eggman has some very large computers and scanners at his service. Much larger than ours.'
Panzer: "That will work. Think he'll mind if we drop in?"
Digifanatic: "Yeah, that should work."
Aribar: "I believe we should contact Robotnik on this little... Disturbance that is somehow related to him."
Digifanatic: "Sounds like it to me."
Deloth: "Yeah, let's go bug him some more."
Panzer pulls up Robotnik's freq. "You there?"
Dr. Robotnik: "Hello there, what is it?"
Red Text: 'I don't think he'll mind all that much.'
Deloth: "We need to borrow your scanners and computers and such."
Dr. Robotnik: "Well, isn't that odd. All right, but don't hog them... I assume you are flying over here?"
Panzer: "It's Panzer."
Dr. Robotnik: "Someone is Panzer?"
Digifanatic: "But yeah, we're going to fly over."
Panzer: -.-; .oO(idiot)
Dr. Robotnik: "So many radios... just... get over here."
Panzer: "RT, behave alright?"
Red Text: 'Hard to misbehave alone in outer space with nothing that can effect the planet below.'
Panzer: "You always manage somehow."
Red Text: 'Well, it depends on how dangerous communication is to you.'
Panzer: "I'm sure you're downloading something right now."
Deloth: *Goes into the ship.*
Panzer walks to the ship and gets on.
Red Text: 'That's the odd thing, you have far less viruses in your system, so it is much harder to read your mind.'
Panzer: "Thank Light for that. It's his fault."
Red Text: 'Curse that person I don't know!'
Deloth grabs a seat on the ship.
Panzer: "I might not be able to get viruses anymore because of that oaf."
Digifanatic: *heads the ship and takes pilot this time, considering Garrick's odd absence. He sends it to go to the lab.*
Metal Man (GM): The ship takes off, and flies over the ocean.
Panzer: "Guess that means you can't pull that switcheroo either, RT."
Red Text: 'I'll find something else... somewhere...'
Panzer: "So you're not my little buddy anymore?"
Red Text: 'Maybe you are still my buddy... heh heh heh...'
Metal Man (GM): The ship flies into range of the island and lands.
Panzer: "Better be. I got killed partially in thanks to you."
Deloth: "...That's creepy."
Red Text: 'Being up here is very bad for the mind.'
Panzer: "And they're convinced you're out to help them. Shame."
Metal Man (GM): The ship lands. Welcome to Eggmanland!
Digifanatic: "Anyways, folks..."
Metal Man (GM): Giant goofy signs greet all to Eggmanland. Eggmanland is now a full-sized land, covering most of this continent.
Deloth: "...Oh, for the love of..."
Panzer walks out and lifts a brow. "Wow..."
Dragoshi: "...he sure works fast."
Deloth: "He's turned this place into an amusement park."
Rinith: "This is sad."
Metal Man (GM): A neon-colored red and yellow pathway awaits the Questers.
Deloth gets out of the ship and looks around incredulously.
Dragoshi: "Could be worse."
Metal Man (GM): Spinning Eggman heads, bouncing rubber balls, and Eggman robots walking around everywhere. They juggle and dance and sword fight.
Deloth: "No, Drag, it couldn't."
Metal Man (GM): Monitor screens everywhere announce how amazing Eggman is.
Dragoshi: "No, no. no, Del."
Panzer: "If I had my rifle, I'd be shooting this shit. It's annoying... Programming error."
Dragoshi: "It could."
Digifanatic just heads for the base...
Panzer follows Digi.
Digifanatic: "I wonder if he hired the RED Engineer."
Metal Man (GM): There are even target boards one could shoot at here. The Questers walk in and see Eggman, in his control room.
Digifanatic: "Hello, Doctor. I see you've been very occupied lately."
Deloth: *blandly.* "Fascinating design job."
Dr. Robotnik: "Error."
Deloth: "...Digi. Could you fix Panzer, please?"
Dr. Robotnik: "Error."
Panzer: "I'm not broken. He might be."
Dr. Robotnik: "Error."
Panzer scans the area. She walks out of the lab and scans.
Metal Man (GM): Eggman's head pops off and he makes laughing noises.
Deloth: "...Uh, Eggman?"
Dragoshi: "..." *Chuckles.*
Metal Man (GM): He walks in, standing alongside his robot duplicate.
Deloth: "...Of course."
Dr. Robotnik: "Nice to see the duplicate works. Now... you needed my sensors... for what again?"
Deloth: "Some guy trapped in the space-time fabric."
Panzer: "Something stuck in between space and... Space. It's like a bad episode of Star Trek, Deep Space Nine really."
Dr. Robotnik: "Oh no, not one of those. I hate those."
Dr. Robotnik: "Bad episodes, that is. Let me see..."
Metal Man (GM): He presses the buttons. The weird distortion appears.
???: "I... don't have much more time. I am... here to warn you... someone bad is... coming..."
Metal Man (GM): Yawn. Another threat of doom.
Dragoshi: "Business as usual, I see."
Deloth openly yawns in the guy's face. "What else is new."
Panzer: "What type of bad? Maybe we can negotiate it away."
Rinith: "You guys get way to much trouble."
???: "It is... it is... gah!" The image falters. "It might... no... wouldn't... listen... it... hates... dimension!"
Metal Man (GM): *BKZHT.*
???: "I AM COMING FOR YOU."
Panzer: "Which one of us?"
???: *BZKT* "No... not... The Void... Void is dead..."
Dragoshi: "All of us, I bet. ...also, yeah. The Void's been dead for quiiiiiiiite a while."
Aribar: "Is that thing the remnant of the Void?"
Dragoshi: "Doubt it."
???: "Meet me... here... No... No Void... no!"
Dr. Robotnik: "I have coordinates for the moon. What kind of crazy person is there?"
???: "Person... hhhelp... there... EXPLa... nation..." *BKZT.*
Metal Man (GM): It dies down without any further speech.
Panzer: "You all just had to talk about the fucking moon... Rorre."
Dragoshi: "...Don't like at me. I didn't even say a thing."
Dr. Robotnik: "But I don't have a lunar lander. Wait a minute..."
Panzer: "I hope you all have space suits with lots of heat in them."
Metal Man (GM): He presses some buttons.
Dr. Robotnik: "There's a... settlement on the moon. ...I hate this world, it makes no sense!"
Deloth: "... Guys, am I having one of those 'bad lunchmeat' dreams again?"
Panzer: "There's also fragments left of a launching platform for the Final Weapon that I was stationed on for a time. We could use it as a prep site."
Dr. Robotnik: "Well..." He shrugs. "You go on and do what you want."
Digifanatic: "Uh, no, after all this isn't the first moon we've encountered."
Dr. Robotnik: "I'm busy fighting with Jack over some gold statues."
Dr. Robotnik: "If you help me, I'll pay you nicely."
Dragoshi: "...Oh, yeah. I heard about those."
Dr. Robotnik: "Yes."
Deloth: "I think that the impending doom is more important, thanks."
Panzer: "Help you what?"
Dr. Robotnik: "Help me obtain golden statues."
Aribar: .oO(... Oh, wait. Those statues had the Chaos Emeralds.)
Dr. Robotnik: "That smuggler, Jack, is stealing them from the melted island they once powered."
Panzer has developed a slight tick. "I'll bring you some if I find them."
Deloth slips out and heads back to the ship.
Rinith: "Well then..." *follows.*
Metal Man (GM): So the Questers are on the ship... with more questions than answers.
Aribar heads to the ship with the others. Once out of Robotnik's hearing range, he asks, "Didn't those statues have the Chaos Emeralds in them?"
Panzer appears on the ship, tick fixed.
Digifanatic: "They might have... I'm trying to remember."
Panzer: "RT, what does he want those statues for?"
Red Text: 'Ah, Jack. Once my loyal servant, he wants them for cash. That's all he ever wants. He deserted me when James Bond broke his ankle.'
Dragoshi: "Of course cash."
Aribar: "Red Text, can you keep an eye on who he sells the Statues to?"
Red Text: 'I can try, he's sort of hard to keep track of.'
Digifanatic: "So, RT, were you with Bond, too?"
Red Text: 'No, Bond was my enemy. I wanted him destroyed.'
Digifanatic: "Oh... Okay."
Panzer: "Who doesn't? Isn't he ancient by now? Ourumov??"
Red Text: 'He warped through time and helped me... Ourumov and Trevelyan followed. Let's just say I needed some things and a bunch of dirty laundry followed.'
Panzer: "You know I hate Russians right. You're Russian aren't you?"
Digifanatic: "No, he's closer to British."
Panzer: "Don't tell me you're a self-educated Goldeneye program."
Red Text: 'Russians? Heh heh... heh... God save the Queen. Forget the Russians.'
Panzer: "I hate Brits too. Predisposition. Then again, you could be Canadian."
Red Text: 'Well, I'm not like the other ones. Few British live in outer space.'
Panzer: "Fuck you. Error." *She sighs.* "Are we there yet?"
Panzer: "You know, RT, even though I've turned over a more clever metaphorical leaf, you still annoy the hell out of me. Error."
Deloth: "...Panzer, I think you broke something. So. To the moon?"
Panzer: "What do I get to do? Claw people's eyes out?"
Deloth: "Want one of my swords? You can slash people's eyes out instead of clawing them out."
Digifanatic: "Well, the moon seems like a logical idea in the terms of 'let's get rid of this crisis'..."
Rinith: "Golden statues sound like there worth something."
Digifanatic: "Now, if you want more money, we could hit Mobius and check the statues out."
Red Text: 'Jack is on the coastline... lugging statues...'
Digifanatic: "Okay... do you know how many he's got so far? If I remember correctly, there were 20 total."
Red Text: 'I see 10. This camera is dusty.'
Aribar: "In one case, we can possibly save some priceless, and potentially dangerous, statues. On the other, we can find out about some vague threat."
Digifanatic: "Which we're not sure we can access given our ships. We might need to call in the Galactic Feds for that one."
Panzer steps away. She opens a link to Vile. "You have my rifles. I want them back of course."
Digifanatic: "But as for the statues, it's quick, it pays well, and it's more leisurely."
Metal Man (GM): Panzer's system beeps. "OUT OF RANGE."
Panzer sighs. "I'm too old for this."
Digifanatic: "So I say Mobius."
Flaeyn is magically back from somewhere.
Digifanatic: "One and one. Panzer?"
Panzer: "If we're not properly equipped, there is no reason to go."
Panzer walks over to Eggfried. "Can I use your radio?"
Dr. Robotnik: "Certainly."
Panzer: "Danke." She turns it on and tunes it. "Vile. I want my rifles back."
Flaeyn: "Vile? Vile's on our side now?"
Vile: "...W... Y... *static.*"
Digifanatic: *notices Flaeyn waking up.* "We've either got statues to pick up for quick money, or a potential crisis brewing that might involve using ships we don't have direct access to. What do you think, Flae?"
Panzer tries to tune it better.
Dr. Robotnik: "...I think his radio is too weak to reach us."
Digifanatic: "Panzer's just... she needs him for something."
Flaeyn: "Heh, statues again, huh? We've might as well work on that crisis however."
Metal Man (GM): Panzer gets a fuzzy link in.
Aribar: (Belatedly) "What, Digi?"
Panzer: "You heard me. I'm not exactly happy with you right now."
Vile: "As long as you do not mind me using your extra body, the rifles are yours. And never come to my base again. I will send them to your little human-loving friends, X and Zero."
Panzer: "I'll drop in from time to time to check on you. You know I'm not a threat now so shut it."
Digifanatic: "Aribar, Mobius or Moon?"
Aribar: "Am I the deciding vote?"
Vile: "Threat or no. You sympathize with those worthless humans and X clones..."
Digifanatic: "Not yet."
Panzer: "Bite my shiny metal ass." *She ticks.*
Aribar: "Then I have no preference. I am merely along for the ride."
Red Text: 'Ah... Panzer, mind if I do something while you have this link open?'
Panzer acknowledges RT with a "Yes" in text.
Vile: "What the... what the..."
Metal Man (GM): *SPLORCH.* The link dies.
Red Text: 'Be sure to pick up those rifles.'
Panzer turns the radio off. "What did you do RT."
Metal Man (GM): Oddly, Red Text's link deactivates too.
Panzer sighs. "Great. Now RT might have a new body. Well. I somewhat have my rifles back. Poor things, being away from me."
Metal Man (GM): The others are in the ship.
Flaeyn blinks at Panzer, scratching the back of his head. "So there are really people like that."
Panzer looks at Eggman. "You know nothing, yes?"
Dr. Robotnik: "Don't look at me, I want my statues back. Robots and Red Text can all burn for all I care."
Panzer: "Might just be getting them." She walks off. She goes back to the others and looks like her usual, abnormal self. She says nothing.
Metal Man (GM): The others are deciding between getting the statues and the moon.
Digifanatic: "Okay, so Flaeyn, your vote goes to where again? You seemed both ways."
Flaeyn: "The Moon."
Digifanatic: "Okay, 2 and 2... Panzer?"
Metal Man (GM): Panzer rejoins the group, seemingly silent... she hasn't said her vote yet. To the others.
Panzer: "What? Oh. Doesn't matter. Mobius. I need to help Eggman."
Digifanatic: "3 and 2. Aribar, you want to make this decision more annoying, or will you succumb to going to Mobius?"
Aribar: "To Mobius. That seems to be what the vote says."
Digifanatic: "Okay, yeah."
Metal Man (GM): Mobius wins.
Digifanatic: *sets the ship for Mobius and takes off.*
Metal Man (GM): The ship takes off... leaving it a mystery for now what's up at the Maverick Continent.
Panzer finds another piece of paper and she starts writing down stuff and thinking. She grins.
Rinith: "What about the rifles?"
Metal Man (GM): The ship is on its way to Mobius.
Panzer laughs, writes. Laughs more.
Metal Man (GM): Well, only Panzer and those who were around when the Medic read a paper Panzer made would know. Anyway, you see the coast of Mobius.
Metal Man (GM): Jack is down there, transporting 10 statues.
Deloth: *sits back. Panzer. Laughing. It chills his soul.*
Digifanatic: "Well, here we go..." *looks for a safe place to land near the transporting area.*
Metal Man (GM): This is a flat, beach area.
Panzer looks at the paper and tears it up, throwing it up. "Oh brother."
Flaeyn: "...? What's wrong?"
Panzer: "This might not work out to my advantage after all, but I will certainly get what I want."
Digifanatic: *lands it in the flat.*
Metal Man (GM): Jack has stopped. He is staring at the ship. He stands in front of the statues, possessively.
Deloth: *gets out.* "Hello, Jack."
Digifanatic: *gets out and waves.*
Jack: "Hello... what do you want?"
Flaeyn: "Huh. You again..."
Jack: "I am only... transporting some statues."
Aribar indifferently stands behind the others.
Dragoshi: "We know."
Rinith: *gets out.*
Jack: "So... what do you want?"
Digifanatic: "We'd like to aid you."
Jack: "..." He snickers. "There's 10 other statues. Take them and give them to me and I will pay you half the price... 50 coins to each of you. They're back in that melted island."
Digifanatic: .oO(Those statues are only 10 a pop?! And they're gold?!)
Panzer walks out and looks at Jack. "You're impeding something I want."
Aribar looks to see that there are six of them; about 600 coins?* "They're only worth a little more than a thousand coins?"
Digifanatic: .oO(Oh wait, wrong math. Deloth, I am sorry.)
Aribar peers at the statues; he wonders if any have Chaos Emeralds in them.
Deloth: *muttering.* "No problem..."
Metal Man (GM): Yes, 5 of them have... chaos emerald-like stones in them. There are 10 of them.
Jack: "Yes. Gold is not very valuable, thanks to me."
Flaeyn: "Huh. Why don't the rest of the five have emeralds..?"
Dragoshi: "...I'd imagine."
Jack: "So they are worth only for re-melting."
Aribar: *Checks if Jack still has the deathspear.*
Metal Man (GM): Yes.
Digifanatic: "First of all, Flaeyn, there are only seven Chaos Emeralds."
Jack: "These ain't chaos emeralds."
Aribar: "Aren't there better targets to set your eye on, Jack?"
Panzer scans for the signals of the other statues, set to detect Au.
Flaeyn: "I never said anything about Chaos Emeralds, did I?"
Digifanatic: "Yeah, but they look like them."
Dragoshi: "They're more like magic stones, I take it?"
Jack: "Yes. They are only magical stones... with a curse on them."
Dragoshi: "Well, yeah. There is that curse thing."
Metal Man (GM): Panzer detects a faint signal just down the coast.
Panzer starts walkin' on along, whistling the X1 theme.
Aribar: "What kind of a curse?"
Jack: "The kind which revives the dead."
Jack: "I remember someone who is... not here... invoked it. Him... and..." He points at Flaeyn. "Him. They played with the stones and summoned undead monsters."
Rinith: "Undead...?" *Shivers.*
Flaeyn: "Yes, I remember." He says, crossing his arms.
Metal Man (GM): Panzer slowly makes her way. There is a small island just off the coast which seems to have melted. The gold signals are stronger out there.
Panzer scans the water depth.
Metal Man (GM): Water is incredibly deep. Panzer has memories... Of Red Text fooling with her mind here. And locking this place off limits. There's steep underwater cliffs here.
Jack: "So, going to get them with your friend, or just watch me stand here?"
Panzer thinks. She checks if it is still below crush depth.
Aribar: .o(Personally, I'd rather we sink them into the sea...)
Digifanatic: "Well, as long as we can perhaps borrow the boat or something."
Metal Man (GM): Yeah, but there's steep cliffs all around the melty island.
Digifanatic: "May we?"
Deloth: "I can just swim. Don't need to breathe."
Flaeyn: "Swimming... is a little hard for me." He points at his wings.
Panzer walks into the water. She is whistling. Underwater.
Jack: "Yes, you may use my ship."
Metal Man (GM): He takes out a remote and his ship floats in, ready to take the Questers aboard.
Jack: "I'm going to the city to sell this."
Digifanatic: "Well, we can jus... Panzer, now what are you doing?!"
Metal Man (GM): He begins walking to Capital City. Panzer, meanwhile, is underwater.
Digifanatic: *groans.* "Paaaaaaaaanz..."
Rinith: >.> "I'm not a good swimmer."
Panzer walks on along. ^.^
Deloth: "Hang on, I'll go after her."
Digifanatic: "That's why he's going to let us borrow his boat."
Jack: "Don't worry. She would have been too heavy for the boat anyway."
Deloth runs over to the water and jumps in, swimming towards Panzer.
Dragoshi: "Let's just board the ship." *Boards the boat. And I swear to god the next person that quotes 'I'm On A Boat' is gonna get it!*
Metal Man (GM): The Questers get the boat. On a boat. It feels sort of like old times. Only... This is Jack's personal yacht.
Digifanatic: *takes the pilot's area of the NICE BOAT.*
Metal Man (GM): Everything is gold plated.
Aribar: *Checks if Jack take the statues.*
Metal Man (GM): EVERYTHING. Yes.
Digifanatic: *looks at the gold.* "Whaaaaaaaa!!!"
Panzer starts climbing the cliffs.
Metal Man (GM): It is balanced precariously, such that it is half underwater.
Aribar simply gets on the boat.
Metal Man (GM): Jack takes the statues, yes.
Digifanatic: "Julian is gonna be so jealous if he sees this."
Metal Man (GM): Digi sees the ivory encrusted steering wheel. Going to set a course for the nearby island?
Deloth keeps swimming after Panzer, trying to follow her... while she's got a head start... and wall grippers...
Metal Man (GM): The waters. They are treacherous.
Aribar just notices Deloth in the water.* "... Why?"
Metal Man (GM): Deloth flounders and sinks into the ocean. Panzer would see Deloth sink into the ocean below her.
Panzer is walking along the bottom. She blinks, shrugs, continues to follow the signal.
Metal Man (GM): As the ship would... uh... anyone gonna start the ship, or are the Questers too busy staring in awe at the gold?
Deloth: .oO(Dang... that undertow was stronger than I thought.)
Digifanatic: *He's just concerned he doesn't run over the two, unsure of their depth!* *He blares the ship's horn to see if Deloth and/or Panzer react to it.*
Metal Man (GM): Panzer reaches the steep cliff.
Deloth: .oO(Wait... WHERE'S MY ARMOR?!)
Panzer would reflect sonar signals about the same as an old U-boat, really.
Metal Man (GM): Deloth and Panzer hear a weird noise underwater.
Aribar would snoop about the ship and look for evidence of what sort of things Jack has been 'acquiring' to sell as of late.
Metal Man (GM): It moves far too last to make sense to either of them. Since water messes up sound.
Panzer blinks. She switches to sonar, sending out pings.
Deloth stares as he watches the threadbare leather float away and finally give up the ghost.
Metal Man (GM): The fancy ship detects a very small object sending out sonar waves. High pitched noises echo in Deloth's ears painfully.
Digifanatic: "I hope..." *checks the sonar/radar/whatever.*
Panzer keeps a low pink, seeing as she's still walking.
Metal Man (GM): Deloth is like a dolphin. And Panzer is a submarine!
Deloth hunches over and covers his ears. WHY MUST YOU BE SO CRUEL, WORLD?!
Metal Man (GM): And Digi is a Tuna fisherma--just kidding. Digi detects Panzer 1.2 miles off the port bow. I mean, dead ahead. Panzer finds the cliff.
Digifanatic: "Panzer, come in?"
Metal Man (GM): Panzer can climb up the cliff. Panzer receives a radio signal from Digi. It is. Messed up.
Panzer starts climbing. She answers her com while climbing. She answers back in text. "Text please."
Digifanatic looks for a text communicator, if it's there.
Deloth just starts swimming for the surface. The boat is looking like a much better option...
Metal Man (GM): Digi sees a gold-encrusted keyboard.
Digifanatic: *goes O_O at all that gold, texting.* "Get on shore before we run you and Deloth over."
Metal Man (GM): Deloth reaches the surface. He's all wet and washed up like he'd been given twenty swirlies. Panzer, meanwhile, is half-way onto the island.
Panzer texts back. "Almost there."
Digifanatic: *t* "Okay, let me know when you see Deloth. It's a ways between here and the island."
Metal Man (GM): Panzer clambers onto the island. Deloth is bobbing in the ocean like a buoy.
Panzer: "I think I killed him with my sonar."
Digifanatic: *t* ";O_O"
Panzer walks up, vents pouring out some water, retaking some oxygen then closing, following the signal again.
Metal Man (GM): There's a bunch of golden statues. Digi, meanwhile, continues to stay behind, as Deloth bobs in the water.
Digifanatic: *t* "What?!"
Metal Man (GM): Deloth swims onto the coast! Deloth crashes into a rock! Deloth Deloth Deloth!
Panzer: "Back to voice. I dunno."
Deloth: "Oh SHIT--" *BONK.*
Metal Man (GM): Deloth is on the surface.
Panzer goes to a statue to see if she can lift it.
Metal Man (GM): The statue appears liftable. However, it is stuck to the ground.
Digifanatic: *voice.* "Okay... seriously, though, about Deloth?"
Panzer digs in the sand around the base to see WTF.
Deloth: *So let's recap. I'm soaking wet, nude, and with blinky stars in front of my eyes due to a concussion.*
Rinith: *looks for ones that have gems.* "7 huh?"
Metal Man (GM): Panzer digs down. It is stuck to... even more statues. They melted together a little bit. Digi is still idling, a mile way.
Panzer tries to push to break it apart. Au is somewhat weak.
Digifanatic: .oO(Deloth, are you okay? Tell Panzer.)
Metal Man (GM): Panzer does so. Now he can easily remove all the statues. They're in a weird little pile that makes a 10 foot pit. Digi's thoughts are out of range.
Deloth: *dizzily.* "Panz? Are you here?"
Metal Man (GM): Rest of group sees Digi standing there... Standing...
Panzer pulls them up as best she can, digging where needed and breaking them off one at a time.
Metal Man (GM): The ship slowly sits there in the waves...
Dragoshi: *Goes to pilot the damn boat.*
Digifanatic: "I'm waiting for them, Dragoshi... fine. Take it."
Panzer: "I'm in comm range Deloth."
Dragoshi: *Nods.* *PUSH BUTTON START BOAT.*
Digifanatic: "I just didn't want to mess up."
Metal Man (GM): The boat starts up and takes off. Meanwhile...
Deloth: "Could you tell the others to come here? I'm dizzy..."
Metal Man (GM): Panzer finds a new statue. It is... of a man. Wearing strange clothes. It looks realistic.
Panzer blinks. Looks at it. "Eh?" She references it against he database.
Metal Man (GM): And valuable. Panzer would remember it as... hm. Not any face she has seen.
Panzer scans it to ascertain it's purity level.
Digifanatic: *just waits for the ship to go to shore.*
Metal Man (GM): It's... 100% made out of... some silicone residue. The ship gets to shore.
Panzer: "Not gold." She knocks on it to see if it's hollow. She rolls the statues against eachother and gives a shove to roll them like logs to the boat that pulled up.
Metal Man (GM): It's solid. But light weight.
Deloth: *still dazed and naked, thx.*
Panzer goes back, takes it with her, puts it on her back and rolls the others along. She looks like an ant.
Metal Man (GM): The ship has arrived. It is there to see Panzer, with many, many statues.
Digifanatic: "Well, thanks..."
Panzer: "Got everything guys, load it up... Can you even lift these? They're light."
Digifanatic: "Maybe by your standards."
Digifanatic: "I mean, yes, we should be able to help."
Dragoshi: *Walks outta the boat, and goes to lift one. Or try. Or something.*
Rinith: *NOW eyes them for the gems.*
Metal Man (GM): This silicone does.
Panzer tries to guess the weight of the statues.
Metal Man (GM): They're about 500 lbs or so. A little light in places.
Panzer: "They're only 500 lbs. Want me to carry them.?"
Digifanatic: "Might as well. Don't think I'd be much help."
Deloth gets up and wraps himself in his wings, walking over to the ship.
Panzer: "Deloth, you need clothes?"
Aribar: "I could attempt to drag them to the ship..."
Deloth: "Yes. Don't ask questions."
Panzer still has the silicone statue on her back. She reaches into her armor and pulls out an extra black suit. She hands it to Deloth. It only weighs a pound total. It's like Under Armour on crack.
Deloth slips away quietly and puts it on.
Metal Man (GM): So, after all that, the Questers have the statues.
Panzer loads up the ship to capacity.
Metal Man (GM): Panzer loads up the ship. It sinks part-way into the ocean.
Panzer blinks. She calculates to see if it will make it back.
Deloth slinks back in shame and gets onto the ship.
Metal Man (GM): It will, just be a bit slow.
Panzer: "Get going."
Metal Man (GM): The Questers have all of them aboard, amazingly. Minus the silicone one, I guess, if Panzer is keeping it separate. Nothing odd has occurred so far, except for Deloth's horrifying water adventures.
Deloth: "...guys, we need to stop by a clothing store soon."
Digifanatic: "Dude, you're an animal. Nobody cares. Sonic never wears clothes."
Panzer: "Meet out on the other side. I'll follow directly under you in case you sink, if I can." She goes back into the water, wondering if she's heavy enough to weight down the silicone so she can walk on the bottom.
Metal Man (GM): Definitely.
Dragoshi: *Takes off his cloak and hands it to Del.* "Well, it might not be a full outfit, but... It's better than nothing, right?"
Digifanatic: "Alright." *takes the helm, turns it around and sets it for Mobius.*
Deloth: "*I* care! I'm not walking around on the streets with everything flapping in the breeze!"
Digifanatic: "I stand corrected."
Deloth wraps the cloak around himself.
Metal Man (GM): The ship moves. The Questers are all able to get to the area where Jack is... without a problem. Yup. So the Questers are standing around with a bunch of statues.
Panzer unloads the statues and starts rolling them towards the airship.
Metal Man (GM): All goes well until... Panzer notices the silicon statue is... missing?
Panzer blinks and feels on her back for it. She scans for it. o.o
Metal Man (GM): It is standing behind Panzer. Still a statue. Freaky. It has... a pistol in its hands.
Panzer blinks. "Ok..."
Metal Man (GM): Then... it becomes obvious. To those who saw him before... The statue is Vylch.
Deloth: "...WHAT THE HELL?!"
Metal Man (GM): His face was obscured by Panzer's back.
Panzer gives the other statues a kick to get them into to loading bay.
Dragoshi: "...what the heck."
Digifanatic: "Okay, keep calm, we've fought him before..."
Metal Man (GM): He's... still a statue.
Panzer: "Why is it pointing a gun at me?" *She walks up to it and stands to the side, trying to get the pistol away.*
Digifanatic: "This is weird."
Dragoshi: "...oookay. What the hell happened to Vylch?"
Metal Man (GM): The pistol melts into liquid.
Digifanatic: "I have no id--WHA???"
Dragoshi: "Guy's really let himself go."
Metal Man (GM): Finally...
Panzer lifts a brow. "Meh." She wipes her hands. "Ready to go guys?" She gives the silicone statue a kick into the water.
Deloth just facepalms and starts groaning softly.
Metal Man (GM): BZORK. The statue is kicked and suddenly comes to life.
Dragoshi: "...that's not gonna end nicely."
Digifanatic: "Panz. Panz..."
Vylch: "Alive... again... no... I thought I had been killed... ...What are you doing with those statues? Those... I was going to take those!"
Panzer: "Leave it. Just get into the ship."
Deloth attacks Vylch with his sword combo.
Panzer: "We need them for something."
Metal Man (GM): He is hit once, then parries the other.
Digifanatic: *follows Panzer's orders and heads to the ship.*
Dragoshi: *Just enters the ship.*
Panzer walks back towards the ship.
Vylch: "Attack me all you want, you know my strengt---come back here!" But he's busy with Deloth.
Dragoshi: "We're not in the mood for fighting."
Deloth: *Attack some more? Sure, two more sword attacks!*
Panzer: "Come on Del. That suit I gave you gives no protection. It's just radiation, fire, and water proof to an extent."
Metal Man (GM): Wait... don't the Questers want the airship? With the statues? Deloth bravely attacks Vylch.
Digifanatic: .oO(Deloth, get outta here if you know what's right!)
Dragoshi: *...oh. yeah. We do.*
Metal Man (GM): He hits once more.
Dragoshi: *To the statue-carrying airship then. Right.* *A-durr.*
Deloth quickly sheathes his swords and makes a run for the ship.
Vylch: "Curse you, naked mole-rat!"
Metal Man (GM): He opens fire at Deloth. His gun makes loud bang noises.
Panzer scans Vylch to see if he's still made from silicone at all.
Metal Man (GM): Deloth gets raked with bullets. Vylch is made from... silicon nanites. He goes to run after Deloth. Hmmm... He manages to avert glitching.
Deloth: *OW OW OW OW.*
Panzer: "Deloth, run to the ship."
Vylch: "That man who damaged me will PAY!"
Deloth continues making a frantic dash for the ship, now much more... bleedy.
Panzer: "Close the door once inside."
Metal Man (GM): Deloth cannot outrun Vylch. Vylch tries to tackle him. *plays Yakety Sax.* Deloth is tackled.
Panzer: "Vylch, is it? Get offa him k?"
Vylch: "All right, you're going to pay for stealing my precious statues and cutting my arm!"
Metal Man (GM): He tries to punch Deloth some more.
Deloth: "Hey, I had nothing to do with the statues!"
Vylch: "Die, Statue-liar!"
Panzer walks over and tries to pull Del out from under Vylch.
Metal Man (GM): He punches the sand and gets stuck in it.
Deloth tries to give Vylch a good hard mule kick to the chest. "Get offa me!"
Metal Man (GM): Panzer grabs Deloth! Vylch dodges Deloth! Which is bad.
Panzer tosses him towards the ship. "Go on now."
Metal Man (GM): Vylch pulls himself free. Better take off, quick-like.
Deloth lands on the ship, quite roughly.
Panzer: "Shut the door!"
Vylch: "The statues are mine!"
Metal Man (GM): He lunges for the door.
Digifanatic: *is already in the pilot's seat.*
Panzer steps in the way. She is pretty heavy to move ^.^.
Metal Man (GM): Panzer is very heavy. Panzer is also too slow... However... The door slams shut. His arm is chopped off and lands inside the ship as the Questers take off. The hand crawls across the floor and tries to grab Digi!
Dragoshi: "..." *Zaps Vylch's arm with 3 Electric Eles.* :/
Metal Man (GM): Digi dodges the pathetic arm.
Digifanatic: "What is this, The Addams Family?!"
Metal Man (GM): The arm explodes violently.
Panzer sends out a really fucking loud, high frequency sonar ping to try and fuck up the rest of Vylch. The ship should be alright from it. It's a ship. Not a tiny tiny machine.
Metal Man (GM): Getting... nanites in the controls. ...
Digifanatic: "...I KNOW Thing did NOT do that."
Metal Man (GM): Panzer tries to fry all the nanites. Like... like that. But some of them escape just in time! The ship begins freaking out. The ship is now under Vylch's control.
Vylch: "Ahahahahaha! I will now fly your shi--"
Digifanatic: "What the heck is going on?!"
Red Text: 'Hello, Vylch.'
Digifanatic: "Yes, RT, please bail us out."
Metal Man (GM): *Spark.* *BZORK.*
Panzer sits on the beach and plays in the sand.
Metal Man (GM): Panzer watches the ship fly away, shooting sparks and is on fire. Vylch is gone. The ship is now on a collision course with: the ground.
Panzer lifts a brow. Whistles.
Red Text: 'Please do pull up, I had to reset your system.'
Digifanatic: "Yes." *does so.*
Metal Man (GM): Panzer apparently fell off trying to stop Vylch.
Aribar simply... Stays somewhere on the ship.
Panzer contacts the ship. "What's going on? Why're you crashing?"
Digifanatic: "Vylch temporarily took it over."
Panzer: "Got it fixed?"
Digifanatic: "Red Text had to override it for us. I believe so."
Panzer: "Oh. He's talking again?"
Digifanatic: "Well, texting... but yeah."
Panzer: "Psht. Don't trust him. I'm not kidding."
Deloth sits up after being flung onto a ship and being shot repeatedly. "Ow... I hurt. All over..."
Digifanatic: *tries to re-land it on the beach to pick up Panzer.*
Panzer: "Get stable before coming in for a landing."
Digifanatic: "Will do..."
Metal Man (GM): Digi barely straightens it out. The inertia dampeners kick in as he makes an accidental landing atop a hill. But nothing major is broken. However, that felt like being shaken upside-down.
Panzer watches all this and sighs, getting up and scanning for residual nanites.
Digifanatic: "Well, there was a state of chaos."
Deloth: "...Hey, guys, can I just go ahead and pass out now?"
Digifanatic: "If you must."
Metal Man (GM): Panzer notices the rest of Vylch's body in the sand. He must have malfunctioned.
Deloth: "Thank you." *ker-thump.*
Metal Man (GM): He's a statue again. Whew.
Panzer doesn't get near it. Sonar pings it anyway.
Digifanatic: "Hmm... Panz? Weren't we supposed to give Jack those statues?"
Metal Man (GM): It turns into white sand.
Panzer walks away after pinging it. She picks up Digi on her comm. "No. Robotnik wants them. He might pay you more for them." She heads for the ship. She then boards. "Can we take off again?"
Digifanatic: "Ah... yes, we shall."
Metal Man (GM): Systems are 90% nominal.
Digifanatic: *Take two, this time to Robotnik's base.*
Panzer: "RT, you still in the ship?"
Deloth: "Great. Now I've got blood all over borrowed clothes..."
Panzer: "Deloth, they're yours. Once again. Got dozens. Want another?"
Red Text: 'That was just a little help. Now if you want real help, come to the Maverick continent.'
Metal Man (GM): It blips out again. So... where do the Questers take the statues?
Dragoshi: "Eh. No prob."
Deloth at least takes off the now-saturated cloak and hands it to Dragoshi. "Here."
Panzer: "Nope. Not going there. He's possessed Vile, and he is the enemy. But I do need my rifles. Hmm."
Dragoshi: "You can keep it, Del."
Digifanatic: *going to Robotnikland.*
Metal Man (GM): The ship flies towards Robotnikland.
Panzer walks over to tend Deloth's wounds.
Deloth: "I... um... thanks, Panzer."
Panzer: "No problem. I have compiled knowledge of anatomy."
Dr. Robotnik: *Radio.* "Mwoohoo hoo hoo! Is that my golden statues you have for me?"
Digifanatic: "Yes, Doc."
Deloth: *muttering.* "And you can choke on them..."
Flaeyn: "Of course."
Dr. Robotnik: "I detected their unique signature..."
Dragoshi: "Had to deal with Vylch, though..."
Panzer finds some first aid stuff and patches Del up. "I can choke on what?"
Dr. Robotnik: "Vylch?" He coughs. "I though I had killed him..."
Dragoshi: "But, aside form that, it went smoothly."
Panzer: "He's dead now. Pile of sand."
Deloth: "Wasn't directed to you, Panz."
Panzer: "Thank you sonar. I was wondering what I would use that for."
Aribar: .oO(He's dead for now at least...)
Panzer: "Oh. Alright."
Metal Man (GM): The ship lands at Eggmanland. Mostly an uneventful mission. It's... almost odd. Now to drag the statues over.
Panzer collects the statues and ants them on along. She rolls them up to the lab and waits on Robotnik. "There you go."
Digifanatic: *walks in as well, making sure Panz doesn't claim all of the money as hers.*
Deloth staggers in, full of bullet holes.
Dragoshi: *Walks on in.*
Flaeyn follows along for the ride.
Dr. Robotnik: "Well. You did well, bringing me the statues."
Metal Man (GM): He smirks.
Dr. Robotnik: "Just watch out for Jack. He... probably isn't too happy I have them."
Panzer scans around for him.
Metal Man (GM): Jack is still on the coast of Mobius. He wouldn't follow the Questers here.
Panzer: "He can suck my ...Error..."
Metal Man (GM): Too heavily defended.
Panzer: "He's still on Mobius. Robotnik, can I use your cracked out radio again?"
Dr. Robotnik: "Yes. Now... how am I to repay you... Do you want money... or weapons... or materials? Or robots?"
Panzer goes back to the radio and calls Hunter HQ and asks for Zero.
Deloth: "What do you mean by each of those?"
Aribar: "I'm relatively indifferent as to our reward."
Dragoshi: "I could use some money."
Panzer: "Zero, you there? Come in."
Zero: *Radio.* "...How did you get a radio that powerful?"
Panzer: "I've got friends."
Zero: *Radio.* "Okay... there's a package for you here."
Panzer: "Awesome. My rifles are there."
Zero: *Radio.* "And reports indicate strange activity at Vile's base."
Panzer: "I have suspicion that Vile has been taken over by a smarter enemy. He can hack almost anything, he used to be a program. As for now what he is, I have no idea."
Zero: *Radio.* "Yes, he has held off all attacks so far..."
Dr. Robotnik: "Well, if I gave you coins, it would be 100 coins each. Weapons... one weapon each. Materials... you name it, I give you some square feet of it, relative to worth."
Panzer: "Might be wise to stave off and study him first. I'll send you what I can on him. Did you get what I gathered on Vile?"
Dr. Robotnik: "Robots... one robot per three people."
Zero: *Radio.* "We've received some scattered data from you, yes."
Panzer: "Want me to resend?"
Zero: *Radio.* "Yes."
Dr. Robotnik: "So, what shall you take for your rewards?"
Digifanatic: "Well, what kind of materials do you have?"
Panzer: "Very well. Wilco. Any other news for me?"
Deloth: "...I'll take the coins, I guess."
Dr. Robotnik: "Iron, steel, silver, gold... very sparingly with titanium..."
Metal Man (GM): He hands 100 coins to Del.
Flaeyn: "Robots... how'd that even work? I mean what kind of robots would we be getting?"
Deloth: *tucks them into his hammerspace pocket.*
Digifanatic: "Hmmm... I don't think I need any precious metals."
Dr. Robotnik: "Well, one of these."
Metal Man (GM): He waves a hand and a small Egg Pawn appears. 3 feet tall.
Dr. Robotnik: "It will follow any order and defend you."
Metal Man (GM): It has 50 HP, FYI.
Aribar: "Do you happen to have any materials that are known to have magical properties?"
Zero: *Radio.* "No, you're around so often... you know more than we do, it seems."
Dr. Robotnik: "Magic..."
Metal Man (GM): He chuckles.
Dr. Robotnik: "What kind of magic, specifically?"
Aribar snaps his fingers to cause a slight spark.* "Electricity, energy. Something akin to that."
Panzer: "Not really. I got killed. Bad. Apparently, Vile has the Zero Virus and lost all form of tabs on himself."
Dragoshi: "I'll also take the coins."
Digifanatic: "Yeah, I'm also for the coins."
Panzer: "So the new enemy is not only smarter, now he has near unlimited power. I know something that might can stop it, but I will have to tell you in person."
Dr. Robotnik: "I have magnetic materials. Magnetite."
Metal Man (GM): He whistles and a robot brings a cubic foot of it over. Magnetite appears to also... resonate with Aribar's electrical magic.
Panzer feels dizzy. "Uhg..." She wobbles.
Digifanatic: "That acting weird on you, Panzer?"
Panzer talks gibberish.
Dr. Robotnik: "It isn't good to have around machines."
Metal Man (GM): He pushes it further from Panzer.
Digifanatic: "And your robots can handle it?"
Panzer recovers a little. "Oww... Headache..."
Dr. Robotnik: "...They're too stupid to be effected much."
Dr. Robotnik: "So, anyone else want their rewards?"
Deloth: "Anybody who doesn't want one, I'll take theirs."
Panzer: Robotnik: "What do you have in the way of sabers?"
Digifanatic: "Yeah. Cash please."
Dr. Robotnik: "Sabers... sabers sabers sabers..."
Metal Man (GM): He tosses 100 coins to Digi.
Aribar: "Apologies, Panzer. That metal appears ideal for what I would like, but it would be too damaging to Panzer... Hm..."
Metal Man (GM): Ah, right. Dragoshi gets 100 coins.
Dragoshi: "Thank you." *Puts 'em away.*
Panzer: "It would be fine in smaller quantities around me. Just not all lumped together like that."
Dr. Robotnik: "I have an Egg Saber... if that is to your willing."
Metal Man (GM): He takes out about a 3 foot long saber. It's curved and has goofy Eggman face on it. It glows red and yellow. He swings it.
Panzer: "How does it compare to this sabre?" She draws up a schematic and power read out of a regular Reploid sabre.
Metal Man (GM): Every time it swings, it makes a laughing noise.
Panzer: "Too annoying. Let me see..."
Digifanatic: .oO(Oooh, Raena would duel you for that.)
Aribar: "I suppose I will take the hundred coins. Also, what spellbooks do you have again? Activate, Panel..."
Digifanatic: .oO(If they didn't disappear again!)
Panzer: "I know. Think you could give my c/l a better boost? It's too short range."
Dragoshi: "Yeah. What spellbooks do you have, out of curiosity?"
Deloth: "They'll come back, Digi..."
Digifanatic: *muttering to Deloth.* "Meh... you can never tell with those two, but thank goodness they've been away for a while."
Flaeyn: "I might as well take a robot..." Saying this pretty late.
Dr. Robotnik: "Activate, Panel, that's about it."
Deloth: *suddenly feeling rather cruel...* "Why, Digi? Need to go take an ice-cold shower after thinking of her again?"
Digifanatic: .oO(WHAT?! The current Quester roster is fine! It's not like we need them...)
Aribar: "Robotnik, is that Activate book cursed? I ask because I have studied it for weeks without success. Also, do you only have one copy of each?"
Deloth: "Noooooo, I think it's something more than that."
Dr. Robotnik: "No, you're unlucky... and because I originally bought them for myself."
Deloth: "We don't NEED them, but you WANT them back, am I right?"
Metal Man (GM): He looks to Panzer.
Dr. Robotnik: "Yes. For the value you gave me? I can make it reach all the way, using my base as a repeater."
Digifanatic: "Yes, and Gibby, and Trigger."
Panzer: "That will work."
Dr. Robotnik: "Of course, that will take all the value of the reward... you are a complex machine to upgrade."
Deloth: "But especially Natalie."
Digifanatic: "But we haven't seen them in a while!"
Deloth: "What with that special look in her eyes when she thinks of you and all..."
Panzer: "I have no use for robots, being a reploid, I have weaponry and have no use for materials or money."
Aribar: "I will take both books, unless someone else wants them."
Digifanatic: "Yeah, whatever..." *scoffs.* "She's nothing but a stalker. Besides, she'd like Andrew."
Dr. Robotnik: "Here." *Hands the books to Aribar.* "...Any other requests before you go?"
Deloth: "Yeah, she'd like Andrew. But she'd LOOOOOVE you."
Digifanatic: "Nah, the nerdier the better, and I can't compare to Andy."
Dr. Robotnik: "I know one or the other..." He looks to Flaeyn. "A robot is pricey. It'd be three of you's rewards stuck together."
Deloth: "...Also, I have a question."
Dr. Robotnik: "Or 300 coins."
Digifanatic: "I hope it's for Robotnik."
Aribar accepts them and instantly goes to study them.
Flaeyn: "Hm, really." He shifts his weight to one side, and shakes his head. "I guess I'll have the money then."
Deloth: "Do you know anyone who can do an arm transplant, Robotnik?"
Digifanatic: *runs back to the ship and looks for earplugs.*
Metal Man (GM): He hands 100 coins to Flaeyn.
Flaeyn: "Thank you."
Digifanatic: .oO(Deloth, you go fill your mind with Alexia dreams again.)
Deloth: "Can't dream, remember?" *He just chuckles.* "So. Any ideas, Robotnik?"
Aribar hears nothing as he returns to their ship and reads.*
Metal Man (GM): Eggman gets out his wrench and gets to work on adding an antenna to Panzer. It's... a covert one, that would fit in her head. As long as she lets him.
Deloth: "Uh... about my question..."
Panzer has to take off her helmet for him. He has little flabby arms. XD
Metal Man (GM): Indeed.
Panzer: "Careful with the fur and my ears. Just pierced them." She had three gold rings in each cat ear o.o.
Dr. Robotnik: "The people who made you had a strange sense of humor. Mwoo hoo hoo hoo."
Metal Man (GM): He fits an Eggman-brand radio booster in very carefully. Panzer's software would determine a special transcoder has been added which would allow her to access a large portion of the planet via Eggman's radio.
Dr. Robotnik: "Oh..." He turns to Deloth. "Yes?"
Deloth: *sigh.* "Do you know anyone who can do an arm transplant?"
Panzer closes everything up and stands. She would hand her helmet to Digi. "Hold this. My fur is mussed."
Dr. Robotnik: "Why, yes! Me! It just takes... some neuron splicing... and some electronics."
Deloth: "...Wait, really?"
Metal Man (GM): Panzer sees Digi is not around to hold the helmet.
Dr. Robotnik: "Yes. What kind of arm... realistic? Or robotic? It'd be a prosthetic, but I could make it."
Panzer sets it on her knee, holding it up and balancing on one foot, straightening her fur.
Deloth holds up his left arm. "This one."
Dr. Robotnik: "I can't transplant real arms. Sorry. But... they have that kind of thing in Continia."
Deloth: "I checked there. They want thousands of coins."
Panzer: "Robotnik, can I send something on your computer?"
Dr. Robotnik: "Hm. Perhaps you could do a mission for them. Yes."
Deloth: "... I never thought of that..."
Panzer sits down at his computer and plugs herself in, working the computer from the inside out, sending all her data to Zero again.
Dr. Robotnik: "Well, now you know. You're reputable mercenaries now. Especially now that I have my statues!"
Metal Man (GM): He displays the creepy statues amongst all his computers. Panzer sends the data.
Dragoshi: "Well, they do add a certain charm..."
Zero: *Com.* "Thought you zoned out there... aha. Thanks for the data."
Deloth: "...They look like they're going to eat me."
Dr. Robotnik: "Yes. Have I told you the REAL reason I have them?"
Metal Man (GM): He smirks.
Panzer: "Sorry. I had to get something installed to boost my signal. You can call me almost anywhere now, as long as you have a good radio."
Deloth: "Because they have handy-dandy cupholders?"
Panzer: "That data useful, Zero?"
Dr. Robotnik: "Sort of. People claim I used them to generate wealth, but the truth is... with the right parts, I can use them as massive radio beacons. They have a strange property of communicating with one another. In fact... if you stole the rest from Jack, I'd give you another round of rewards!"
Zero: *Radio.* "Yes. It'll take some analysis. And... if you're free, this box is waiting for you."
Panzer: "I'll get it as soon as I can."
Deloth heads out to the ship. "Digi, we need to make a side-trip to Continia."
Digifanatic: "...What for?"
Panzer: "Panzer out." She terminates the link and looks at the group. "My rifles are ready to be snagged from Hunter HQ on the Maverick Continent."
Deloth: "If you knew, you'd stop me. Just trust me." *He hops into the ship.*
Digifanatic: "Yeah, alright..." *I guess he never found those earplugs!*
Dragoshi: *Gets in the ship.*
Digifanatic: *waits for the others.*
Aribar continues paging through the Panel book.
Panzer wanders off with everyone else.
Digifanatic: *Flies the ship to Continia.*
Aribar: "So now are we flying to the Moon? Or somewhere else?"
Digifanatic: *Decides to fly to the Maverick Continent for Panzer instead.*
Metal Man (GM): The Questers stop off at Maverick Hunter HQ. Panzer can leave to go collect the package.
Aribar goes with Panzer. He has something to take care of! Particularly, he heads to the weapon shop there.*
Panzer hops off the ship and inside the HQ. She tracks down Zero.
Digifanatic: .oO(Just remember, Deloth... and I do this now while you're half out of it and not having enough energy somehow... you started it.)
Metal Man (GM): Panzer walks to the base, and sees Zero. He's standing by a box.
Digifanatic: .oO(I made the remark about Raena and you warped it.)
Zero: "This box is strangely large."
Panzer: "Should just be my rifles." *She sizes up, knowing her rifles well.*
Metal Man (GM): It's about as tall as your rifles. Then a little bit more.
Panzer: "Packing material." She starts to open it.
Metal Man (GM): Panzer opens it. Both rifles are in there. As well as... a copy of her body???
Panzer scans ... Herself thoroughly.
RotPanzer: "Hello, Panzer. This body is... unbecoming of me... but... it had enough chips for me to hijack. Gave Vile quite a scare, too."
Metal Man (GM): It's thoroughly infected with Red Text.
Panzer: "I'm not playing with you right now."
Metal Man (GM): It has a primitive attempt to repair the damage on it. It still looks messed up.
Zero: "Well that's just great, now there are two of you."
Panzer: "Disable your systems to be analyzed."
RotPanzer: "I wish I could." It shoots sparks. "But it's jammed."
Metal Man (GM): The voice is Red Text's British Gentleman voice. Crackling as if from a radio.
Zero: "...And, strangely enough... neither of you have the Maverick Virus. I had forgotten you had it, from how you were... speaking..."
Aribar would attempt to find the reploid shopkeeper who said many weeks ago that if he had some crystals from Vol Opt, he could work with magic... Or something.
Panzer: "Then I have no use. This is a danger to the Hunters here. Sorry." She takes off her glove and wriggles her fingers. "Light gave me a fucking Trojan."
Zero: "..." He chuckles. "Your strange fortune never ceases to confuse me."
RotPanzer: "That won't be necessary. I am fully clear of any viruses. Besides my own."
Panzer removes her rifles from the box and hands them to Zero. She then pulls off her forearm armor and cracks her knuckles, poising her hand above RTP's chest. "Uh-huh..."
RotPanzer: "Now... if you could get a new system control chip... perhaps I could be scanned."
Panzer: "I don't trust you. You're to be deactivated."
Zero: "Well, it is technically using your body, so it shouldn't exist."
RotPanzer: "Don't move another inch..." It stares. "I can blow this body up quite effectively."
Zero: "...But if it could not blow up in our base, that would be nice."
RotPanzer: "You don't trust me, yet I save you time and time again. I know your group is in imminent danger... if you deactivate this, then I can say I will know at least one time whence you will lose and I won't be able to save you. Pity."
Zero: "Tell me, Panzer, how is this body functioning?"
Panzer: "You with capabilities? I don't trust you."
RotPanzer: "No... don't tell him... I will explooooode..."
Metal Man (GM): It glows.
Panzer: To Zero: "No time. My head hurts enough from this." To the Panzer body: "The hell you can." She then forces her arm down and into the hole left from the saber hole, reaching exactly to the core and ripping it out, clean and away so it couldn't be blown up. It would be powered down immediately.
Metal Man (GM): Epic failure. Having no recourse, he uses his own miserable ability to try the same against Panzer. He fails as well.
Zero: "...Whoever designed the close range attack system on you should be shot."
Metal Man (GM): Panzer disables it.
Panzer: "I'm a sniper. Not a brawler." She pulls it out and severs the wires. "Sorry RT."
RotPanzer: "It's too late. I have the sche..ma... t..."
Metal Man (GM): *Shoomp.*
Panzer holds the core in her hand and more or less slides to the ground, against a wall. She just stares at it.
Zero: "So, Panzer, what shall we do with your spare parts? Keep them far away from viruses, I believe?"
Panzer: "I'll separate and keep them." She puts the core in the box with her rifles and folds it back up, looking at Zero. "Well. Thanks. Anything else you want from me?"
Zero: "No... although..." He looks at you. "It seems that rash behavior really was caused by the Maverick virus, wasn't it? I guess I was right as always."
Panzer: "No. I returned to presets." She smiles and nudges Zero. "Don't worry. I'm still going to kill you."
Zero: "We'll see about that... X says the same things sometimes..."
Metal Man (GM): He shakes his head.
Zero: "I must return to duty. There is more disturbances in the Vile base area."
Metal Man (GM): He nods and then warps off.
Panzer shrugs and takes the box and goes back to the ship. She calls RT. "Still alive?"
Aribar would attempt to find the reploid shopkeeper who said many weeks ago that if he had some crystals from Vol Opt, he could work with magic... Or something... If allowed.
Red Text: 'I'm a person not a machine. Not very nice of you to destroy my first try, but I guess I will need to take something a bit more burly if you're going to be paying attention.'
Metal Man (GM): Aribar finds the mechanic. Aka shopkeeper.
Panzer: "I was trying to help you. Zero hates me. I'm sure if I would have left you on your own, you would have been nice enough to get my ass killed again. If you want that body, I'll repair it for you and you can have it."
Aribar: "Greetings, sir. I was wondering about a certain deal that I believe you gave me a while ago."
Red Text: 'Oh. Well then, do so. I would also like it to better reflect my gender... I can't help but feel it unsettling for the poor saps down below to hear it speak with my voice.'
Panzer: "I will modify. Anything else?"
Aribar: "I believe you said something about if we could get some items or crystals from the Vol Opt robots, you could do something with magic. I've had some for quite a while, but not the oppertunity to come back here."
Red Text: 'I have detected it is best at using guns. If you are not using that old rifle, give it to the finished product and I will use it. Figure it will be useful.'
Panzer: "Alright. I'll put in a program to the CPU for you so you'll know how to make the special plasma round for it."
Red Text: 'The truth is, I know what those disturbances are. I will tell you all very soon... I just needed you to prod it some more.'
Panzer: "Anything more? I don't have much to work with, but I'm sure I can do something with myself. Prod? Prod what, the static?"
Red Text: 'Yes. The more the static talks, the better profile I can get of it with my sensors. Work with what you have. You have seen how sneaky I am with parts.'
Panzer: "Clever." She smirks, laying her body out on a table, with some parts. "I'll pay a visit to Morph to see if he can help me. He does owe me some favors. What did you to do Vile, by the by?"
Red Text: 'I possessed the body and shoved him over, then leaped out of a window somebody had cut to bits. His face looked a lot better shoved through a screen. It required sneaking up on him, but he didn't appear to believe I was alive.'
Panzer: "I see. No wonder he's so pissed at me. We used to be buddies."
Red Text: 'My analysis shows he is possessed by someone of similar ability to I. Except they have a base on the planet you're on. How I envy them.'
Panzer: "Some... One? I thought it was just the Zero Virus."
Red Text: 'The virus... is arguably sentient... it tried its best to jam me out as I ran, even though Vile had no such circuitry.'
Panzer: "It tried to override me, but the old Virus staved it off for me for some reason. I'm unprotected. Light has seen to that."
Red Text: 'Well then... if you get the Questers to do a little mission for me... then maybe I can fix Dr. Light's dim curse.'
Panzer: "I might be able to take care of it. I'm doing you a favor for helping me, but unlike the others, I still see you as a threat. Maybe a potential ally, but you're hard to get to from here, that means we're not on equal terms. No offense, but you're a danger. I will see what they want to do. I'm sure they'll jump on it though."
Red Text: 'If you find me so dangerous, put a remote deactivation box in my body's systems.'
Panzer: "You'll find a way to deactivated it."
Red Text: 'Perhaps, but it's symbolic enough.'
Panzer: "It's something to waste my time that serves little purpose."
Red Text: 'Well, if that's how you see it, then I can do without it. Next up, I will need to find a top hat and monocle.'
Panzer: "Do you have a name, or should I just call you Mr. Monopoly?"
Red Text: 'Well, I have studied the names you strange people have. Bad guys have two words, good guys get one. So the body's name shall be... Red.'
Panzer: "Red." *She snickers, then falls off her chair laughing.*
Red Text: 'I forgot my real name. Explosions are bad for the brain.'
Panzer recovers and gets up. She reinstalls the core and powers the body on so he can have some idea of what's going on. "Red... Wow. Not more creative?"
Red Text: 'I... am not good at creativity. Mostly, stealing other people's things.'
Panzer: "Want me to give you a name, or something? No? Well. I'm going to call you Schatze."
Red Text: '...The radio cut out for a moment there. What exactly does that mean?'
Panzer smirks. "You're intelligent. Look it up."
Red Text: 'Well, I guess I can use that, you make the body. I must be going for now, so... good luck.'
Metal Man (GM): The comms line ends, ending the session.
