Super Smash Quest² - Story - Chapter 61: Red and Blue Deja Vu
Date: 6:45:08 PM, April 9th; 4:23:52 PM, April 11th; 5:21:00 PM, April 13th, 2009.
Kenku looks confused. "Are you alright Jack?"
Jack: "... Why would you give me these five if you stole my five?"
Andrew grabs onto Ari and winks.
Jack: "...My head hurts."
Kenku: "What the crap are you talking about?"
Deloth: *Big help, Ari, since he's still lying down and just listening to the chaos.*
Jack: "I had five of my own here, ready to go, and then they vanished."
Aribar: "Andrew, does this technique stop death rays?"
Jack: "I was all set to blame you except you just handed me five of them."
Andrew: "It should, in theory..."
Kenku: "I see."
Jack: "That is completely out of character with some insane Quester plan to steal my gems."
Jack: "So I know by default you didn't steal them... ..." *He digs around.* "Yes... someone was in here... ...but I don't know what."
Dragoshi: "Doubt it."
Kenku: "Thats a possibility... but wouldn't she have taken all 10?"
Jack: "Ael's female clone most definitely would have. Thankfully no such thing exists."
Kenku: "Pandora is dead."
Jack: "...Something is fishy here... ...fine. I won't kill you. Yet. ...But if you find who stole my other five gems I will reward you richly."
Digifanatic: *Mutters to Aribar* "Wonder if it was Schatze... Maybe Wario himself, since this is his turf, but I have my doubts..."
Kenku: "What's your plan with all of them by the way?"
Jack: "I'm not saying anything. The mysterious stone stealer could do ANYTHING if they could sneak one behind me."
Aribar shrugs. "Jack, don't you have security around here? Tapes or cameras and such?"
Jack: "No. Instant death is my security! Damn it!" *Kicks table over.*
Kenku: "So the area is set to fire the ray when people come in?"
Andrew: "You never made a tracking spell for the jems at all?"
Rinith: "Allways have a backup plan."
Panzer finally looks up. "Random."
Aribar: "You know it couldn't have been us, though. We were all away; you saw us leave. Only Deloth and Panzer were here, and you must have kept an eye on them."
Jack: "I'm no magician. I just follow the runes... Yes. They were here..."
Deloth: "And neither of us can teleport."
Panzer: "Stop putting shit on me. I was fixing my robots dammit."
Digifanatic: .oO(Deloth, I bet it's Schatze.)
Jack: "Well... ...nothing much else we can do. Not that I have much I'd want you to do..." *He shrugs.* "I'll tolerate your presence but I have no real interest in talking to you further."
Digifanatic: "Hopefully, we'll find them as soon as possible and finish this dilemma."
Deloth: "'K. Can I get up without being shot, then?"
Kenku "Hopefully" Kenku says..."By the way... you having any radio problems?"
Aribar: "In the interest of reducing my chance of death... Goodbye, Jack." *He heads back to the ship.*
Jack: "You were laying here the entire time while someone stole them... of course. Radio what?" *Presses the button on and off* "Nope."
Deloth gets up, gets his other sword and sheathes it, and heads back to the ship.
Andrew follows Aribar.
Kenku: "Weird... anyway... Seeya I guess" *Kenku says and begins to return to the ship.*
Digifanatic: *Pondering again as he heads to the ship* "It could easily be Ael, too... the way he can manipulate time and all that."
Rinith: *gets back on the ship.*
Digifanatic: "So I'd say Schatze, then Ael, then Wario. Anyone else, no clue."
Kenku tries BLU on the radio once he gets back to the ship, as he sets off to Angel Island once all are on.
Metal Man (GM): You go to leave.
Jack: "Wait one second there... or I blow your ship up! I think Aribar may have taken them!"
Panzer stands inside the tower in silence, robots crowded around her, still utterly confused.
Kenku rolls his eyes "Why the heck would he have done that?"
Aribar stops. "Do you have any reason why I would take your gems?"
Dragoshi: "..." *Facepalms.*
Panzer: "Ari does have a fondness for gems."
Deloth: "Ari, could you please show him that he's wrong?"
Jack: "I just know! Now stand there while I scan him for gems..."'
Andrew: "If Ari has the jems, I will kiss Deloth."
Kenku: "Andrew... Shut Up!"
Deloth: "No, you won't."
Aribar would attempt to subtly cast Sensory to ensure that the gems weren't slipped onto his person.
Andrew: "Kenku, please take your stick out of your bum and laugh for once."
Metal Man (GM): You detect nothing on your person, Aribar. He scans Aribar as well.
Kenku: "Shrugs. Whatev dude..."
Jack: "Hm, no, that's not it..."
Rinith: "Ok, can we go now...?" -.-
???: "STOP RIGHT THERE."
Dragoshi: "Oh, what now!?."
Aribar: "I'm after spellbooks to le... What?"
Metal Man (GM): A red bead appears on Aribar's forehead.
Kenku looks to try to the new voice.
Aribar: "Not moving! Notice how immobile I am! Perfectly still, even!"
Deloth: "...And somehow, this comes to the inevitable conclusion."
Metal Man (GM): You see Vylch, holding what looks to be the gems.
Dragoshi: "...Okay, now this is just stupid."
Vylch: "Those gems will be mine! And then I will kill you all! KAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!"
Panzer blinks. "Wow. This is getting weird."
Andrew: "You know what, I would save a whole amount of trouble if only I had pliers."
Digifanatic: *Whispers to self* "How does he not die?"
Jack: "Screw this." *TSEER.*
Kenku: "Who the Hell are you?"
Aribar: "Didn't we kill you? Numerous times?"
Metal Man (GM): The beam is fired at the weird man with the black suit and guns. The beam hits him and dissipates.
Dragoshi: "How did you even get off that--... Oh. Well."
Jack: "Someone upgraded his circuits... ...crud! You fight him. I'm out of here!"
Deloth: "...Houston, we have a problem."
Metal Man (GM): Jack runs away.
Andrew: "Joy, immune to death."
Kenku sighs "Idiot... who is this guy?"
Aribar yells, "We're even after this!"
Vylch: "I want the gems, not your lives."
Rinith: *Draws his swords* "Grreeeeat."
Metal Man (GM): He chases after Jack.
Panzer lifts a brow and scans Vylch.
Metal Man (GM): Your scan comes back showing perceptively altered nanites
Aribar: "Jack has the gems."
Deloth takes his blades out. "So, why do YOU want the gems?" *Starts running.*
Dragoshi: *Sighs, readies his blade, and goes to pursue, because seriously.*
Rinith: "Next random thing I see... is dead" *Runs after.*
Kenku follows after Vylch, although confused.
Panzer lifts a brow and shrugs. It might still be possible to sonar ping them.
Digifanatic: *Cautiously follows.*
Metal Man (GM): You chase after Vylch. Who is chasing Jack.
Andrew grabs Ari and follows behind Digi.
Panzer: "C'mon guys, stay here."
Deloth: "So, someone want to tell me HOW we end up in these messes?"
Panzer: "If his deathray didn't harm him, we sure can't so let him do his thing."
Metal Man (GM): Vylch spins a pistol and shoots at Jack's back.
Dragoshi: "Right place, wrong time."
Andrew: "Destany loves us?"
Metal Man (GM): *BAM* Jack BARELY dodges.
Digifanatic: "Because Vylch is a pain in the butt."
Jack: "GAH! Somebody stop him!"
Aribar: "Panzer's plan seems to have a great deal of logic!"
Dragoshi: *Goes to blast Vylch with three Electric eles.* e_e
Vylch: "You cannot stop me! I am not a single object to be stopped!"
Panzer: "Of course it does. ...And as always, someone negates that, attacks, and endangers us all."
Metal Man (GM): *GLOW* ...The gems on Vylch negate the magic.
Deloth: "Drag, I think it's gun time."
Vylch: "Your pathetic gems are much better in my hands. Give up!"
Metal Man (GM): *BLAM* Correct. Jack is shot and falls over.
Kenku: "That... is interesting."
Metal Man (GM): Vylch pounces on them.
Aribar: .oO(So, that is Jack's plan to take on Ael...)
Metal Man (GM): He then stands up, facing the Questers, shoving Jack away.
Kenku tries to outrun Vylch to the Gems.
Metal Man (GM): Roll Athletics. Vylch is... much faster. Vylch glows, with all 10 gems in his chest.
Deloth: "Give it up, Vylch. We've killed you before, we'll just do it again."
Metal Man (GM): He spins his guns and looks at you.
Panzer: "I told you guys."
Vylch: "I have no quarrel with you. The one whom I will kill is Caldon Bell."
Dragoshi: "Why must something idiotic always happen every ten seconds?"
Vylch: "If you attempt to stop me you will be obliterated."
Aribar tries to recall... That is this world's Metal Man, right?
Digifanatic: *Mutters* "...he just got all 10."
Metal Man (GM): Yes, Aribar.
Deloth: "Yes, but see, you'll still have all 10 gems."
Digifanatic: *M* "He knows Chaos Control or something..."
Kenku: *W* "Well... then maybe we should try to remove one from him..."
Digifanatic: *M* "I bet he does... Yeah, and what are we going to do against him? Get absolutely lucky?"
Vylch: "Your magic will fail against me on all counts. Your guns are of limited use. And I can shoot you all down in battle."
Aribar: "To my knowledge, we've only come close to Caldon Bell once, and that was months ago, and he was long gone."
Vylch: "I am not as stupid as you claim I am. I staked this position out and waited many days for someone to distract Jack."
Panzer: "Go right on guys, fight him, see how badly you get your asses kicked."
Panzer: "He's willing to let us go... So let's fucking go already."
Deloth slowly lowers his swords.
Digifanatic: "I like the way you think, Panzer." *Starts walking back to the ship.*
Kenku sees Digi turn and decides to shieve his sword and retreat.
Vylch: "If your leader is so tough... then you need not fight me." *He turns to leave.*
Panzer: "I've been telling you morons this for years and yet you still jump in and take a needless fight. Go on. Back to the ship, scoot."
Metal Man (GM): Jack gets up, punching the ground.
Aribar: "That man is not our leader."
Dragoshi: "Not anymore, anyway."
Jack: "I was right... ...too right for my own good! It works! ...And that machine stole it!"
Deloth: "...Panz, I can't believe I'm saying this, but you have an excellent idea and I agree fully."
Andrew: .oO(Hmm. Where is a theme music power up when you need one.)
Deloth takes off for the ship.
Jack: "GUH!" *He gets up.* "Go, before your sphere of bad luck slights me again." *He pulses with rage, grasping his spear angrily.*
Dragoshi: *Heads on to the ship.*
Deloth: "Andrew, what the hell are you talking about?"
Panzer shoos everyone towards the ship, having to nudge her robots to make them go. "Jack, it'll be alright. See you later."
Andrew follows everyone back to the ship.
Panzer wanders towards the ship.
Dragoshi: *W* "Not my fault you can't keep hold of anything for more than ten seconds."
Aribar simpy heads back to the ship.
Metal Man (GM): You leave. You see Vylch run off in the distance.
Kenku says as he decides to set it for Angel Island now "Guys... who is Caldron Bell... and who was that?"
Rinith: "I hate random crap."
Metal Man (GM): This has been one bizarre chain of events. But now you can go to Angel Island.
Aribar: "Caldron Bell was some sort of 'Metal Man' from this world."
Deloth: "And Vylch is some dude who will not stop hating him. We've reduced him to dust about three times by now."
Aribar: "If I recall correctly, he was on some Galactic Federation ship at some point in time, but that ship crashed into the Maverick continent a while ago."
Kenku: "I see."
Panzer: "All right guys. To Angel Island for those useless books now?"
Kenku tries to contact BLU while the discussion is going on.
Metal Man (GM): You contact them.
Kenku: "They aren't useless... if there are healing magic, it would definitely be useful."
Digifanatic: "Yeah, you think they're useless..."
Aribar: "I would like to go to Angel Island, but it isn't needed."
Engineer: *Radio* "Eh?"
Digifanatic: "Wait, huh, Aribar?"
Panzer: "Then, where to?"
Kenku: "Oh sorry... I was testing something... we were having techincal difficulties on another line."
Panzer: "Let me take a look at it." *She checks around in the radios and what-not.*
Engineer: *Radio* "All seems fine here."
Digifanatic: "Why are you not so adamant about Angel Island now?"
Kenku: "Well... if we aren't heading to Angel, were probably heading home... I say we go to Angel anyway... meet some new locals."
Metal Man (GM): Panzer detects the radio is working.
Panzer: "All is well. Must have been a little glitch."
Metal Man (GM): It was jammed earlier.
Kenku: "I see... well... I'll talk to you later."
Metal Man (GM): But not now. So, going to Angel Island or not?
Kenku he retries Robotnik just in case.
Aribar: "No reason, Digi. I just don't want to waste Quester time if people feel it isn't needed."
Kenku: "Your not wasting time Ari."
Panzer sends the Demoman a message to send her more of that cracked out whiskey and she'll ship him some ancient ass schnapps.
Digifanatic: "Really, anything against Vylch is currently a lost cause."
Rinith: "We all could use what we find there."
Digifanatic: "So basically, we have time to explore as long as it's not being destroyed."
Deloth: "...So if those weren't the Emeralds, I wonder where the real deals are."
Rinith: "What are the chaos emeralds anyhow?"
Kenku: "Knowing this place, scattered through the mobian continent. I bet the Master on Angel of course."
Metal Man (GM): Panzer gets a response along the lines of 'Sure'
Deloth: "Magical gems that contain immense power. Bringing all seven together results in the person using them going into a powered-up Super state."
Metal Man (GM): Kenku gets a response too.
Dr. Robotnik: "Radio seems to work now."
Deloth: "I've experienced that once or twice."
Panzer: "Hehe... It'll be a good night tonight."
Kenku: "Yea it does... that was weird... well... thanks again for the help."
Aribar: "I would rather not know their location; from what I've heard, they make a person go crazy along with their power increasing property."
Deloth: "Which is bullshit, I might add, because I don't recall them doing that in the old world."
Kenku: "Depends, they also when combined can make some furs preety powerful."
Panzer whistles, giving MM's signal a check to see if it's active in the slightest.
Rinith: "Hmmm..." *Closes his eyes* "A super state?"
Kenku gets back to looking for the Island, and starts to radio so they aren't coming in as a surprise.
Deloth: "Yeah. Usually signified by a gold glow, invincibility, and all sorts of other fun stuff."
Metal Man (GM): You detect his signal... not. You find the island, and a landing pad in the Echidna city.
Kenku does his best to make proper clearances before landing at the pad.
Metal Man (GM): You go through all two of them. Clearance 1: Do not be Eggman. Clearance 2: Do not be Borne. You land and the echidnas of the area pay you little attention. It's a dirty little open field.
Kenku looks around "Hmm... a better welcome than I hoped I guess..." he says. "Alright Ari... lead the way."
Metal Man (GM): There's a hospital and small town nearby.
Deloth: *Grumbling* "Thank you for that warm welcome..."
Aribar: "From what I know, the book should be in the hospital." *The half-elf heads that way.*
Digifanatic: *Follows him in case odd things happen.*
Andrew tags along bouncing after Ari.
Deloth: "You ever notice that nobody ever seems to care about us saving the world's tokus?" *Follows along.*
Rinith: *follows as well* "Never mastered a healing like spell..."
Kenku follows Ari.
Digifanatic: "Seems that way."
Aribar: "We've only been to Angel Island once or twice, and we didn't exactly save these people from Borne. Their island was devastated."
Deloth: "Right, and preventing a total genocide is nothing, either."
Digifanatic: "It could be worse."
Deloth: "...Sorry. Fur's getting rubbed the wrong way."
Deloth: "Struck a nerve. I'm done."
Aribar: *Enters the hospital?*
Kenku follows slowly behind Ari in, trying to be as nonchalant as possible.
Digifanatic: "Ah. Suppose that happens..." *Follows in.*
Metal Man (GM): You walk on over... to... the hospital.
Deloth follows Ari into the hospital. "Are you sure that this book's here, Ari?"
Metal Man (GM): I'll be in and out, but we can finish this. The area is about half-empty due to Borne's ravages. An Echidna nurse looks to Aribar.
Nurse: "Hello... ...you don't look injured... but welcome to the Angel Island hospital."
Panzer is sort of whigged out by all these weird looking creatures. "Spikey... Rats?"
Aribar: "Greetings, Echida. We came here looking for books teaching the magical arts of healing; I've been informed that such spellbooks can be found on Angel Island."
Rinith: *W* "Echidna, not quite rats."
Kenku: "These are Echidna... a Mobian race... try not to say that please... I would rather not get them ticked off."
Nurse: "We're called Echidnas, you... Dr. Eggman creation." *She looks to Aribar.* "Oh. So you want to learn how to heal others as we do. We possess the books you seek. For the normal price."
Digifanatic: *Muttering to Rinith* "Sadly, I don't think Panzer cares."
Kenku: "Which is?"
Panzer: "Spikey rats with attitude, apparently." *She rolls her eyes.*
Deloth: "Panz, please shut up now."
Panzer: "You don't command me."
Aribar: "I think that a few of us may be interested in the books. How many copies can you lend out? And what kind do you have?"
Rinith: "Did you guys get eli up here as well?"
Deloth: "Fine. Shut up, ma'am, if you will."
Panzer: "Nah. I think I can talk, thanks."
Kenku: "And would it cost a reduced price if we volunteered?"
Deloth: "Then stop calling them rats. They're echidnas."
Nurse: "..." *She crosses her arms.* "I won't judge you on the behavior of a Dr. Robotnik creation."
Panzer: "Me? Made by Robotnik? Please."
Nurse: "We have the Minor Heal and Cure books for casual spell learners such as you... Two copeis of each... ...and no, we have to charge the same price to everyone."
Deloth: "Do you sell medical kits?"
Kenku: "I see... so whats the price Ma'am?"
Nurse: "Unfortunately, we have to keep our supplies to ourselves."
Metal Man (GM): The price is the same as on the system page. You know. Borrow it, then pay the rates as specified there.
Deloth: "I see. Thanks anyway."
Metal Man (GM): Urgh... my head... Indeed.
Rinith: "Il pick last."
Kenku: "I'll borrow Minor Cure if that's fine Ari, I don't think I have the skill yet for somehing bigger."
Aribar: "If someone could spot me ten coins, I could borrow the Cure book for a while."
Digifanatic: "Yeah, hang on..." *Gives him 10*
Deloth hands Ari the 10.
Digifanatic: "Hmm... we'll split it." *Takes five back.*
Kenku: "You gonna pick up one Rinith?"
Rinith: "I would but I don't got the money, might go for cure. But."
Kenku: "Here..." *Kenku passes him 20* "That should be enough to get you a ways."
Andrew: "Do you have any books on curing rare status ailments?"
Aribar: "Thank you, Deloth." *Takes a Cure book.*
Deloth: "No prob, Ari."
Digifanatic: *Guess he takes it all back, then.*
Deloth: "If you have a spare copy, I might like Minor Heal, please."
Rinith: o.o "Thanks... I owe you back sometime then." *He takes cure.*
Kenku: "No worries. We shold be able to get a nice cut sometime." *Kenku says, and picks up the minor heal, thanking the nurse.*
Deloth hands his remaining 35 coins to the nurse as he takes the Minor Heal book. "Donation to the hospital, ma'am."
Nurse: "Sorry, no. You should look in the larger hospital at Capital City for one of those rare ailment books. If they exist. I'm not sure..."
Metal Man (GM): She takes the coins.
Rinith: "Now if I could get a copy of eli as well..."
Deloth nods and turns to leave, a bit miffed at the brush-off. Oh, well.
Metal Man (GM): So, going back to HQ?
Digifanatic: *Leaves for the ship, and heads in.*
Deloth: *I am.*
Aribar: "The Echidnas have a great deal of magical books. We could look real quick for an Ele spell."
Panzer is following the group more or less.
Deloth gets into the ship and starts looking through his new spellbook.
Rinith: "That would be nice."
Kenku shrugs "Nothing else to do... go ahead Ari."
Deloth: "..." *Puts his book down and takes out the flute.*
Digifanatic: *Waits in the ship.*
Deloth: "I wonder if I can play this." *Starts whistling a little tune on it.*
Rinith: *follows Aribar to where ever.*
Metal Man (GM): We'll move to downtime as Deloth plays festive Koopagyptian music. +1 EXP to all. Ow my head hurts.
Rinith: *Looks at ele spell book* "That's it?" *Puts it back.*
Deloth: "...Knew I should've kept practicing my cantrips."
Panzer is working on her robots.
Deloth shrugs and goes back to playing the flute.
Digifanatic: "I guess some spells are easier than others. I never got into it myself, but some of the rarer ones are supposed to be very good once you learn them. Anyways, be back whenever..." *Starts walking back to the ship*
Rinith: "Well, I got ele down quick... like I said, never really mastered a proper healing spell."
Metal Man (GM): The group had a number of weird things occur recently. Questioning Schatze they soon found the tube he had taken wasn't so bad after all, or so it seemed. So they went around doing errands. Eventually they found their way at Wario Land for some reason, on suspicion Jack had supplied Schatze with the information/stuff. Jack denied this, then threatened death unless he obtained some gems from statues he had wanted earlier. Surprisingly enough, the gems were readily obtained and he got them. All was fine until he found the gems missing and then blamed Aribar for it. Then even worse, Vylch leaped out and attacked him, snatching the gems, then brushing the Questers off and vanishing with all 10 of the gems. Jack had planned to use them against Ael, but now... Vylch has them. The group then went to Angel Island in order to obtain some spellbooks. We return with the group at the Stadium... where some interesting mail has piled up.
Digifanatic has picked up the mail and is currently sorting through it on the couch... he seems slightly nervous.
Kenku sighs "You'd think they would call us by phone..."
Digifanatic: "I don't know if they know our number..."
Metal Man (GM): There's one piece of mail written in a strange hand. It comes... from an observatory.
Digifanatic: *Reads it.*
Kenku: "This is true, we probably need to better advertize ourselves."
Metal Man (GM): Most of it is in a weird language you can't understand. It looks like the signs from that island you were on. Marin and Tarin are nearby, sort of blankly staring.
Digifanatic: *Sighs* "Wonder if they've picked up English..."
Metal Man (GM): There is another one, which is simply a note, from 'Red'... ...the pokemon trainer.
Digifanatic: "Huh." *Reads the note from Red* "May be promising."
Kenku: "Hey you two" *Kenku says* "How are you feeling?"
Metal Man (GM): The note says simply. 'If you have some time, I could use your help exploring some old ruins in Kanto. I'm waiting around the Stadium if you're interested.' Tarin notes the ornamental note you sort of tossed aside and looks at it.
Digifanatic: *Chuckles and mutters* "More ruins... that's a maybe."
Tarin: "...You have... an invitation from the Terminian Observatory? I've only heard of that place in legends..."
Digifanatic: "Termina, huh?"
Deloth walks in, still playing the flute he picked up. He's... surprisingly decent at it.
Digifanatic: "Same here. I'm a little more familiar with Hyrule, though not by much."
Tarin: "Yes. A... .salesman... has invited you to... speak with him about... something... The island is remarkably close to the one we were on... Hmmm..."
Deloth: "What's this about a salesman?"
Digifanatic: "I guess he's kinda advertising something."
Tarin: "It's weird. He says something about 'our shared condition' and 'a possible way to fix the problem.'"
Digifanatic: "Or just to let us know there's some place to check out... speaking of, ruins in Kanto if you're interested in that."
Metal Man (GM): There is, finally, a third letter. It is in the handwriting of the Engineer--flowery and 1960s-ish.
Digifanatic: "Or..." *Reads the third letter.*
Deloth: "Oh, yes, please, more ruins."
Metal Man (GM): The envelope, that is. The actual writing inside is typed.
Deloth: "Maybe I can get a crossbow bolt through the chest while we're there."
Kenku: "Sounds like something interesting, I wanted to see what that area was about."
Digifanatic: "Hang on, hang on. Besides, this one's from BLU."
Dragoshi: *Leaning against the wall, listening to the people talk. Surprisingly, he's awake this time.*
Metal Man (GM): 'If you are up for it, we're fighting over a stronghold we found on some island somewhere. Big, filled with mechanisms and weird stuff. BLU wants it but we found it first. The extra muscle would be appreciated.' -Engineer It shows a separate island, to the South of Continia. Yes.
Digifanatic: "Wait a minute, RED--not to confuse with the Pokemon Trainer--is trying to get us to swap sides..." *Fans the note a few times* "Oh wow."
Kenku: "Heh... BLU has done too much for us already to do that. Want to help BLU hold the Island?"
Deloth: "I vote for the salesman. It sounds the least painful."
Digifanatic: "Yeah, but do we have enough to make that stop worthwhile?"
Deloth: "...You just HAVE to ruin everything, don't you, Digi."
Digifanatic: "I'm not trying to. I'm just wanting to be realistic."
Kenku: "I have done my shopping for now... only reason to go to Termina would be to check out something new."
Deloth: "I was being sarcastic, you know."
Deloth: "...And they said I'd never be talented at music. Ha!" *Goes back to his flute-playing.*
Panzer is working on her robots She works on her robots instead.
Metal Man (GM): It's not Termina per se, but a location known to have been there.
Aribar is in the library studying the arts of healing people!
Metal Man (GM): And you suck at reaaading Digi... hee hee hee Anyway... you may make your decision. Ask people, what have you. This... is the 'Multiple choice' mission.
Kenku says "My opinion is that we should be helping our Allies here... to the island!"
Digifanatic: "Yeah, I was also thinking to meet up with our ol' boys from BLU..."
Deloth shrugs. "Sounds good to me."
Panzer sits back and looks down at the robot she just finished to see if she's made some decent progress. She crosses her arms. "Robot, fetch me my oil can."
Deloth: *To Tarin and Marin* "Are you two gonna be okay here?"
Digifanatic: "Hang on, I'll see if I can find Panzer, in case she's too busy with her little guys..."
Tarin: "Nothing appears to be possessed by evil darkness... we'll be fine."
Digifanatic: *Heads down to the garage.*
Panzer sees the robot scurry onto the ramp she made so they can get to the table, grab the can, and bring it to her, impressed. She looks up to see Digi, she blinks. "Yes?"
Digifanatic: "Wanna meet up with BLU again?"
Panzer: "Yeah. Sure. Why not. I need to see if I can get the Spy to get a hold of Morph for me."
Digifanatic: "Hey, Panzer, before I turn back, there... is nobody behind me, right?"
Panzer: "Yeah. No one's behind you, why?" *She sees one of the little hard hard metools is right behind his feet.*
Digifanatic: "Okay, good. Deloth pulled a prank on me a while back."
Panzer: "Alright. Let me get things packed here and I'll be right up. You may go."
Kenku heads for the ship, and sits in the co-pilot seat.
Aribar sighs and puts the cure book down. He stretches and goes to find the others, probably running into Digi and the others on the way out.
Deloth heads out and jumps into his usual seat in the ship.
Kenku pulls out the book and reads while he waits for people to get ready.
Dragoshi: *Heads on over to ze sheep.*
Metal Man (GM): You head to the ship. All seems normal.
Aribar: "Where are we heading today?"
Digifanatic: *Heads back up and into the ship* "We're going to see BLU, Ari."
Kenku: "Did the letter give coordinates Digi?"
Digifanatic: "Well, hang on..." *Pulls it back out.*
Panzer is on the ship with her robots all over her again. They seem affectionate.
Aribar nods and enters the ship. The half-elf wonders what awaits them at the BLU base.
Digifanatic: "BLU found an island, and RED's trying to steal it from them. Good resources, apparently."
Metal Man (GM): Taking off now?
Metal Man (GM): You take off and fly towards the coordinates input. Sure enough, it's a rocky island with some sort of stronghold atop it.
Digifanatic: "Oh yeah, there we go." *Takes a lap or two around it to scout out a good landing area.*
Deloth: *Calmly* "So, Digi, heard anything from Natalie recently?"
Digifanatic: "Uhhh...no.. Yeah, Panzer, Deloth pulled a transformation trick on me. That kind of prank."
Kenku: "We better radio them."
Digifanatic: "Yeah..." *Opens his comms and sets it to BLU frequency.*
Aribar: "That Deloth could be a spy if he can transform. He could be a RED spy!"
Panzer: "Well, too bad for you."
Digifanatic: "Meh. I deal with it. And Ari, that's almost what I was thinking about Garrick... and now they've just disappeared."
Deloth: "Nah, Ari. I don't smoke."
Metal Man (GM): You have only one issue.. ..The island has no obvious place to land your ship on.
Deloth: "So. Where do we land?"
Metal Man (GM): You could contact by radio. Maybe. You could hover and drop off all but one person too.
Digifanatic: "I'm hoping that BLU will give us an idea... I'm waiting for their response."
Metal Man (GM): In fact, Schatze is in the ship.
Schatze: *Yawn* "...Where are we now?"
Aribar: "This ship has weaponry. Couldn't we use it in the coming battle?"
Kenku: "Yea we could... we need to get in touch with them first either way."
Digifanatic: "Perhaps, but it'd be nice to find a place to touch down so we can take a look at this island by foot. I guess you guys could do that... That better off?"
Deloth: "Sounds as good as anything else, I guess."
Metal Man (GM): You can drop the group off at the base of the clif, or atop the stronghold...
Digifanatic: "Top or bottom of the island?"
Deloth squints. Does that stronghold look allied to RED or BLU?
Kenku: "Id say as long as we don't get shot at, land at the stronghold"
Metal Man (GM): The stronghold has BLU's flag on it. The bottom part has RED's.
Kenku: "Any luck contacting them?"
Digifanatic: "Yeah, hang on..." *Starts turning the ship up towards the top, where the BLU flag is, trying to contact the Team again.* .oO(Anyone but Pyro.)
Engineer: "Y'ello. Who's here?"
Digifanatic: "Questers. I'm dropping off the guys at the stronghold. Any good place to land this ship?"
Engineer: "Nope. You'll have to keep it hovering."
Schatze: "I could keep it hovering for you..."
Panzer gives Schatze a slightly suspicious look from under the pile of robots.
Deloth: "Can you also shoot at people accurately?"
Schatze: "Of course I can."
Deloth: "...RED and not us?"
Schatze: "Of course. I can pick up red better than any color."
Digifanatic: "Oh, phew. Folks, think we'll be alright leaving Schatze in the air?"
Kenku: "I don't see a problem"
Deloth: "Sounds good."
Aribar: "Deloth, you may want to make your fur blue so you don't get shot!"
Dragoshi: "Don't see why not."
Digifanatic: "Alright..." *Steers it to the stronghold, leaves the autopilot on so it doesn't plummet while he hands the controls to Schatze.*
Schatze: "'Kay." *He holds the controls. You can leave for the stronghold safely now.*
Digifanatic: "Thanks." *Gets off the ship.*
Deloth: "...Ari, get real. Red is my color." *He hops off the ship and to the stronghold.*
Aribar chuckles slightly before getting off of the ship and following the others.
Digifanatic: "Besides, I think Schatze will see Deloth among us and not shoot."
Panzer is more or less following the others.
Metal Man (GM): The group walks off and reaches a door. It's a metal, vault-like door. A sign says 'Knock... ...if you are on BLU's side... or else.'
Deloth: *Knock knock knock.*
Panzer kicks it one good time for added measure.
Metal Man (GM): The slit atop the door opens.
Spy: "Ah, I figured you would be here. Come in... quickly!" *The door opens just enough to let you in after a series of turning wheels and squeaky, old gears are shoved around.*
Metal Man (GM): You also get a radio buzz.
Digifanatic: *Walks in and checks the radio.*
Deloth heads in.
Dragoshi: *Quickly enters the place. wheeee.*
Panzer rolls her eyes. "Spy, you're bonkers."
Aribar enters the base.
Schatze: "I can see the enemy from up here. Nice guns you have. Just tell me when and I'll shoot 'em up."
Digifanatic: *To the group* "I'd tell him to hold off for now, right?"
Deloth: "Yeah, not yet."
Schatze: "Yeah, tell me when." *The ship hovers normally.*
Digifanatic: "Sure." *Keeps radio on.*
Kenku: "Probably not the best idea Schatze, unless your piloting skills are Ace."
Metal Man (GM): You walk in and see what looks almost like a bar. There's a dartboard, some electric lights, and the Engineer behind a bar serving drinks.
Engineer: "Hello there. You're just in time."
Digifanatic: *But turns the volume very low so that casual conversations don't get picked up.*
Kenku: "Hey Engy."
Digifanatic: "I take it RED is about to enter the scene anytime now?"
Deloth: "...This place is a bit lacking on offense, you do realize."
Engineer: "We found this here stronghold, a lot better one. According to the weird junk I sifted through, some sort of... turtle... owned this place."
Digifanatic: "Sounds like Bowser Koopa."
Engineer: "Of course, RED demanded we give it to them, because they were going to kill us with some unknown ally of theirs if they didn't."
Panzer: "I'm going to go find a spot to chill at that I can snipe from." *She walks back to climb onto the ship and lay ontop of it.*
Engineer: "But you showed up. So now we have an even game. This time'll be different, anyway. We can take care of our red enemies..."
Aribar: "I can see that this conflict is escalating..."
Metal Man (GM): You go to do so, Panzer... ...those guys are mere specks down there. Good thing you have a sniper rifle.
Panzer sets up with her sniper rifle and a robot to keep her company and to bring her ammo, waiting as she finds the perfectly still position.
Deloth: "Actually, RED sent us a letter asking for our help in getting rid of you guys. What a bunch of morons."
Engineer: "..." *He chuckles.*
Dragoshi: "...I thought it was Digi failing at reading." *Coughs.*
Engineer: "Ha ha ha... haha... I knew I shouldn't have drunk that shot before writing that letter."
Deloth: "I refuse to believe that Digi can make such an incredibly elementary error."
Engineer: "I don't think he did. I did." *He hiccups.*
Digifanatic: "Oh, no, I was reading the letter as it was written." *Takes it back out again.*
Engineer: "Now I don't know who these enemies are, but they're attacking the west wing of the castle. Spy will lead you there and then it's up to you to remove them."
Digifanatic: *Gets a slight grin on his face* "Not my handwriting."
Engineer: "Your ship and... the other sniper... can help us take down the other side."
Kenku: "Sounds like a plan."
Aribar: "So we will be purely defending and not attacking?"
Engineer: "If at any point you feel crazy and want to attack whatever they used to get here, be my guest."
Metal Man (GM): Panzer would see some sort of transport ship waaay down below, and men starting to file off of it slowly.
Panzer clicks into max zoom on her rifle and starts calculating her trajectory, adjusting her windage and things of that sort, then radios the BLU guys and the Questers. "Heads up, they're coming."
Aribar: "I have no more questions; I am ready for combat." *The mage unsheaths Sunlight and ignites its laser edge.*
Digifanatic: *Turns his radio back up* "Ah, thanks for the heads up. We're doing the interior attacking."
Deloth: *Both swords out and ready to rock.*
Spy: "If you are ready, it is time to go this way." *He opens a weird hatch.*
Kenku follows the spy.
Digifanatic: *Follows ZEE SKY.*
Dragoshi: *Follows the SPAH, blaster in hand.*
Metal Man (GM): Panzer: You see the Heavy and the Medic of the RED team going out first. It will take a moment to get your aim right.
Aribar follows the Spy.
Metal Man (GM): The distance means even the slight movement of the ship causes your aiming reticule to move a little.
Deloth heads through the hatch and follows the SPAH.
Panzer simplys works on steadying, keeping a bead on the Heavy.
Metal Man (GM): Indeed. The ship's uneven propulsion seems to make it somewhat difficult to get a bead. As Panzer aims, the others follow the Spy down some circular steps, then onto a path which is near a dried up... ...rock bed?
Panzer: "Schatze, You need to keep this thing perfectly level, alright? One inch of movement here translates to twenty yards or more down there. That's a lot to miss by."
Schatze: "Hm. This is a very poorly balanced ship. Let's see if I can level it off."
Metal Man (GM): The ship adjusts and is now almost perfectly level, though it knocks your aim off a little and you'll have to re-steady.
Panzer re-adjusts as needed.
Metal Man (GM): Deloth, Aribar, and Dragoshi and Digi make their way, walking by weird things like collapsed turtle skeletons and side-paths which avoid pits.
Deloth: "Yeah, this is definitely Bowser's old pad."
Digifanatic: "Dry Bones."
Spy: "Now... ...down here there are two portions of interest." *He points to one door.* "There are battlements above the beach... if you can aim down from there you'll have the high ground." *Points to stairs down* "Those lead to the ground. Your foes will come from there. If you are crazy and like to fight up close... ...walk down there, I guess. They are almost here... be careful, crazy mercenary friends." *Vanishes into thin air.*
Kenku: "I'll take holding the ground" *Kenku says.*
Deloth: "I really don't have much of a choice. Only ranged thing I have is Light Pillars, and they're pretty weak."
Metal Man (GM): Panzer centers the shot; the Heavy's about to walk into an area that can't be seen from this view.
Digifanatic: "Not much of a ranged guy myself. Looks like the low path."
Dragoshi: "...I guess I'll take the high path, then."
Aribar: "I can provide some long range support for a bit, but my magical reserves won't last forever. Those stairs will be vital to holding this position, though; assuming they have a numerical advantage, we can kill it with this chokepoint."
Deloth heads down the stairs and to the melee-range battlefield.
Dragoshi: *Quickly puts away his blaster and heads to the door the SPAH pointed to.*
Kenku follows Del.
Panzer steadies herself as much as possible with her gyro system, then lays her finger on the trigger and slightly pulls back until the shot suprises even her, trying for a perfect headshot, compensating for the rise and fall of the bullet.
Digifanatic: *Follows Del.*
Aribar heads up to the battlements. He tries to keep his head down until the enemy gets closer; he knows that as effective as Sniper and Panzer are, the opposing Snipers and gunners are just as good.
Metal Man (GM): Ah.... A 4 + 1, Panzer. Reroll that. Also, the odds of getting 1 success on a q4 is 26%. The Heavy, whom is slow, unaware, and miles away, does his dodge as best as he can. He gets a near-critical wound in the shoulder. He runs for cover. The Medic looks around, confused, going to heal him. Meanwhile, the group on the other side gets onto the battlements and other side...
Panzer: "Not even you can hit me from here. None of you can, even if you knew where it was coming from." *She smirked, taking aim for the medic, better comensating this time, again taking her sweet time in laying her target in and judging the windage and what-nots that none of you people care about, squeezing off another round to gently lay the medic's head open.*
Metal Man (GM): Again, a +1 bonus. The Medic, he is slightly more aware. So aware he dies. The people run around down there, now knowing that something is up. And they have no medic. That's gotta suck. Lots of shooting goes on there. Some smoke obscures Panzer's view.
Panzer simply waits for it to clear a little rather than move and chance herself being seen, the tiny speck on the airship.
Metal Man (GM): We'll continue with Panzer in a moment, since the smoke will take a bit. On the other side, the Questers see a familiar sight. Why, it is some of those people who worked for Trevor. Trevelyan. ...WHAT... THOSE GUYS?!?!?!
Deloth: "...Oh, what the HELL."
Metal Man (GM): They hold futuristic blue rifles as their hovership lands and they go onto the beach.
Dragoshi: "...oh hey, it's those jerks again."
Metal Man (GM): There's about four of them, as they smugly walk towards the entrance. They wear black futuristic combat armor and helmets.
Digifanatic: "You weren't there at the time..."
Metal Man (GM): They have white stripes up their sleeves. They're half-way to the lower side of the entrance. They haven't seen you yet.
Aribar looks off of the battlement and raises an eyebrow as he spots those troops. The mage is surprised by the odd allies, but figures that they must have had to find some other leader to work for.
Metal Man (GM): Er... right. On their sleeves. Seeing this, what do the Questers there do?
Aribar would await until the troops get close enough to fire Ele and other magical barrages at them before acting.
Dragoshi: *Would do the same as Ari.*
Metal Man (GM): Yes, you have a round's worth of attacks open to each of you.
Deloth looks at those rifles. Any guess on the power source?
Kenku closes in and well attempt to clear as many mooks as possible.
Metal Man (GM): They're regular bullets. Kenku: Yes. Walking out to attack them?
Deloth casts Explode on three of those rifles, hoping to take out the ammunition in them or burst the barrels or something.
Aribar: "It is time to rain down the lightning!" *The mage steps up to the edge of the battlement and points his sword towards the targets below; he holds nothing back as five bolts of electricity rip through the air and shock the opposing troops; four of the soldiers receive merely one zap, while the closest footman takes a second.* (Ele, 10 damage to 4 of them, 20 damage to one.)
Metal Man (GM): 0.9% for 5 successes. 13.5% for 3 successes. Of course, there is a silver lining.
Digifanatic also cautiously sneaks up behind the soldiers, pulling out his golf club before running forward and trying to ram it into the back of one the soldier's head.
Metal Man (GM): Kenku runs out at four men who have a range advantage. Attack of opportunity X4!
Deloth: *What about my Explodes?*
Metal Man (GM): 25 damage per hit.
Dragoshi: "..." *Shakes his head, and just casually points his hand at the one Ari zapped twice, and shoots out three bursts of dark energy, each one slamming into the guy.* (Ele, 30 damage.)
Metal Man (GM): Deloth's explode fails because he doesn't know WHERE the bullets are. The goons are zapped mildly, then zapped mildly again. Yes. They're weird guns. You've never seen them before.
Kenku takes the hits in stride, but smashes the 4.
Metal Man (GM): The goons run out of bullets. Then they get slashed. Er. A roll for their dodges...
Deloth mutters a few obscenities and tries to at least close in to melee range.
Metal Man (GM): ...They get hit by the first one. Damage for the first slash, Kenku? Defense against Digi...
Metal Man (GM): It thuds off the armor.
Metal Man (GM): That said... Two of them crumple over. There's 2 people left after my calculations. Due to the elemental emphasis against two of them. So now we start the next round of Quester attacks.
Deloth: *Am I in melee range now?*
Metal Man (GM): There's only two of them. It looks like that's all there will be from here. Huh, pathetic. Deloth: Yes. No init. Just all go at once, this is... sort of squad combat.
Deloth: *Dark and Tasword to remainder #1!*
Kenku striked the two of them in stride.
Digifanatic slaps one of the remaining ones silly with a pair of Fire Punches--the first one from behind hopefully to catch off guard...
Metal Man (GM): I'll roll individually due to their situation.
Digifanatic: *And then one to the face if he survives it, after he turns around to see who nailed him!*
Metal Man (GM): Guy #1 looks pretty dead by my estimation. Deloth and Kenku chop him up, then Digi smashes number 2. Any spells, Aribar? Number 2 is barely standing. Only one guy standing.
Aribar fires three weaker blasts of electricity at the remaining fellow; these bolts are smaller, yet white-hot in color. White Lightning x 3! 21 damage!
Metal Man (GM): Julian: It is the fourth war of the roses. Prince Carmelion is attacking Rogue Queen Alyndra with a patchwork quilt unicorn mecha. The final guy falls down. Seeing that their individual people get blown up.. ..The dropship floats up and fires lasers at everyone on the battlements!!!
Dragoshi: *Lol autohit.*
Metal Man (GM): The battlements EXPLODE, dealing 70 damage and blocking the way back up. And making them unusable. The ship's gonna fly up on top of the stronghold if you don't do anything.
Deloth: "Holy SHIT!"
Dragoshi: "Argh!" *Is alive and well, but jesus fuck that hurt.*
Kenku sets his shield up, and waits for the next fight.
Metal Man (GM): Actually it looks like you've been trapped down here and the ship's just flying up above your heads.
Metal Man (GM): Any spells or anything before I switch perspective?
Digifanatic: *Pops a Mush before calling Panzer.*
Deloth tries Exploding the jet's propulsion?
Kenku sets up his shield.
Dragoshi: *Yes. Three Electric eles to the stupid ship! :V 30 damage!*
Metal Man (GM): Oh. You could have, if you had a better idea. But I'll let the dice decide... ...roll a Will check, Deloth.
Digifanatic: *Radio* "Panz, make sure you and Schatze watch for the ship whose space you're invading."
Metal Man (GM): The propulsion freaks out a little as it still climbs upwards. Curse you, advanced technology! Still, it can't fly for much longer, thanks to your concerted effort.
Deloth just flings two Electric eles before it zooms off, then.
Metal Man (GM): More zaps. Ari... doing anything before the ship flies out of range? It's one you haven't done anything in yet, Ari. No late joints. Nnot in... this case.
Aribar quickly looks about; is there anything nearby that the ship could crash down on without causing too much damage to the castle?
Metal Man (GM): List I will list for you.
Aribar tries to bring down that dropship in one magical swoop. The Quester points Sunlight at the ship and summons up a well of magical energy and tries to bring the dropship crashing down to the ground. Kinesis x 5!
Metal Man (GM): Panzer: Just a moment, actually. Five Kinesii at once move 500 pounds. But this is more than 500 pounds. You further strain its anti-grav as it floats up.
Aribar sees that he can't bring the ship down... Can he at least warp the spell so that it crashes in... No, that's a stupid idea. He lets his pull go suddenly and hopes it looses some control.
Metal Man (GM): We switch over to Panzer as the Questers are left below... and the ship flies up. Panzer: You see that RED actually has a bad time down there. BLU rips them up. However... You hear a comms from downstairs. An enemy ship is approaching from below! Schatze has no clue as he continues keeping the ship level.
Panzer sees that they have it under control down there, with no medic and all, and scoots to the side of the ship and looks down to see how far the ship is below. "Schatze, ship below us."
Schatze: "Gah." *Ship goes to turn around.*
Panzer: "Wah!" *She digs her claws in so she isn't flung off.*
Metal Man (GM): Thanks to the Questers, the evil plans of the other ship operator fails, and they cannot just fly up really fast. Instead both ships are now at the same level facing one another. The other ship is blue and has twin cannons.
Schatze: "...You might want to get inside before I start firing."
Metal Man (GM): It's about 5 feet to jump across to it.
Panzer: "Alright. Hang on.' I might try to board it, instead. Any idea of its crew compliment? Scan her?'"
Metal Man (GM): Search check, Panzer.
Schatze: "All I see is a near-empty ship. What about you?"
Panzer: "My scanners are fucked."
Radio: "You're not going to stop me!" *It appears to have only one person aboard.*
Metal Man (GM): It fires at the Quester ship.
Metal Man (GM): *BZAMZBAMZBZZBZ* The ship shakes as it is raked by dual lasers.
Schatze: "I can't fire until you move... you'll fall. Might want to move it..."
Rinith: *Wakes up suddenly* "What the HELL is going on now?"
Panzer blinks, makes a running leap after the firing stops to try and get on the other ship. "On it."
Schatze: "Nothing you can help with."
Metal Man (GM): Athletics check, Panzer. Panzer jumps across without dying! Darn. That would have been an interesting scene. "Panzer falls all the way into the sand! Ahhhhhh!!!!!"
Rinith: "Like hell I can't find something"
Schatze: "..." *He points to Rinith.* "You should get off of here, your friends are down below."
Panzer looks for an entry point, if none, she starts jumping up and down to make a hole into the cockpit.
Schatze: *Radio* "What's the situation down there, Questers?"
Metal Man (GM): Panzer: you see a side-door which has been shut.
Rinith: "Alright then." *Looks down below... how far is the jump?*
Schatze: "GAH! Hurry..."
Panzer does the jump up and down thing instead.
Metal Man (GM): It's a 5 foot jump. No biggie.
Digifanatic: *R* "Three of us are reeling a bit, two are fine, and all of the RED-related guys down here are toast."
Rinith: *jumps off easy then and runs to the group.*
Schatze: *Radio* "Okay, now for the ship."
Metal Man (GM): Rinith will rejoin the other group in a moment... Meanwhile... Panzer: Athletics check. Panzer can't jump high enough to cause damage. 60% chance of failure. Then the ship under her tries to ram the Quester ship. *SLAM* The Quester ship flies back, reeling.
Digifanatic: *R* "Caaaareful, Schatze..."
???: *Radio* "That's right, you can't match stolen Carrington Institute technology!"
Schatze: "Meh." *He flips the switches.* "Duck, Panzer."
Panzer puts her hands to it and bursts out a very powerful sonar ping into the ship to echo around, claws dug in and everything x.x She has to shut down a few movement and other non-vitals to do this one.
Metal Man (GM): All four laser cannons fire on the enemy ship. This ship is so dang advanced it's immune to that. Crud. The blue enemy ship (how ironic) is blasted by the laser cannon. Yes. It's made of some futuristic alloy and electronics you can't even detect with a scanner. Ping all you want. They don't respond to it. Or resonate. Ah yes. Speaking of those... The ship's weary engines, having been damaged many times, are basically about to fall apart. The enemy ship backs off a bit, smoking.
Panzer goes to the back, bundles up a nice big batch of ammo, tosses it into the main thruster, then runs.
???: *Radio* "If I can't take you out, I'll take that stronghold out!"
Metal Man (GM): Panzer: Athletics check to get off before it... ...veers for the stronghold!
Panzer leaps off the side. >>;
Metal Man (GM): Panzer leaps off as the ship collides into the stronghold, setting part of it on fire.
Panzer flies downward. "Well. This wasn't my most shining achievement."
Metal Man (GM): Rinith finds his way down, finding a bunch of debris in the way. Rinith: going to clear the debris?
Kenku: "Crap!" *Kenku yells and runs in the direction of the flaming structure.*
Metal Man (GM): Kenku: Debris blocks your way up to it. From when that ship just blew up the battlements. We now quasi-merge the two sides as Schatze keeps the ship in an accessible hovering altitude for everyone to reach it at.
Kenku starts to clear debris.
Metal Man (GM): Meanwhile, the Questers on the bottom are blocked from getting up by debris... ...Kenku slowly begins to clear the rubble.
Digifanatic: *Assists Kenku.*
Aribar looks out from what remains of the battlement; does it look like any more soldiers are coming?
Dragoshi: *Goes to clear debris as well.* :x
Metal Man (GM): Nope. Those cheap people at RED apparently thought only one contingent would do. Perhaps they'll learn later, as you clear the debris and the way to the ruined, burning stronghold is free now. The Engineer walks over there, covered in blood, looking at the mess.
Digifanatic: "Yes, Engie?"
Kenku goes to see if he can find a fire extingusher or something.
Engineer: "Whoooo-ie! That was a sticky one! Looks like they underestimated you again."
Metal Man (GM): No fire extinguishers. Just sand everywhere.
Engineer: "Of course... that thing they did with the ship was nasty, and I won't pay you the same, since it would save us money had the castle not blown up..."
Dragoshi: "Yeah... Sorry about that."
Metal Man (GM): Panzer would be alongside the wreckage, covered in ash and with a random piece of the enemy ship lodged in her shoulder
Digifanatic: "Yeah, well, considering the buddies they brought along with them..."
Dragoshi: "At least we drove them away."
Metal Man (GM): Not damaged, just covered in debris.
Kenku: "Eh no worries Engy, we came to help ya either way."
Dragoshi: "...Didn't know those guys were still around, though."
Engineer: "Anyway, here's your pay."
Metal Man (GM): +40 coins to all. No EXP, since this was purely monetary... in this case! Make sure to mark that, I suck at tracking coins. I'll update your coin amounts tomorrow or so ish, using your counts.
Kenku: "Thanks Engy."
Metal Man (GM): Probably allow you to update your own coin amounts to save me trouble.
Rinith: "Sorry for waking up late..." -.-
Dragoshi: "Thank you."
Metal Man (GM): Yes, the coin amounts are all wrong.
Digifanatic: "Yes, thanks."
Panzer starts kicking crap off herself, grumbling and pulling the piece out, dusting herself off after getting up and sighing, armor as black as ash along with the rest of her. She looked like a different person.
Metal Man (GM): Please keep track of those so I can update them lata. The ship hovers so you can get aboard.
Kenku looks to Rinith "you can give Digi the 20 you owe me."
Metal Man (GM): It's a bit damaged but meh.
Schatze: "Gah... that was close."
Panzer climbs on board in silence, pissed. Utterly so.
Digifanatic: *Heads back on.*
Aribar gives Deloth 10 coins. "Thanks for lending me some money before."
Rinith: "You sure about that then?" *Gives teh 20 coins to Digi then.*
Digifanatic: "Ah yes, thanks."
Kenku: "Yea, I owe him for it." *Kenku learns Minor Heal.*
Digifanatic: "Hey, now that we got some change, maybe we can take a breather and hit the shop in Termina?"
Rinith: "26 coins left... hope I can master this damn spell."
Deloth: "Thanks, Ari. So. Wanna go blow this all on Hyrulian donuts or whatever he's selling?"
Aribar: "No problem." */ship.*
Metal Man (GM): Well, you picked a short-ish mission. We'll be able to explore the next, longer mission, later, as the ship goes to HQ. Er. Next longer mission(s) as you choose.
Metal Man (GM): I'd do another one but I'm too tired to start the next one and it's late. What Digi said. I've been doing nonstop stuff. I'm roleplaying elsewhere simultaneously.
Metal Man (GM): The group took out a short little job and made some coins fighting RED off of a stronghold. The only main thing of importance was the appearance of some more of Trevor's former goons. The group is at HQ, with the letter from the observatory still there, and Red's thing with Kanto too.
Deloth: "So. Observatory, now that we've got some pocket change?"
Aribar would be in the library studying his Cure spellbook.
Digifanatic: "Sounds fair enough."
Kenku: "I'd check the ruin first actually... unlee you guys have some seriously due purchases. Also... wanna stop by Angel Island to return the book."
Deloth: "Well, don't you want to be prepared just in case we wind up with something we can't handle in the ruins?"
Kenku shrugs. "I figured I'm prepared as I can be right now. Especially with the spell learned."
Metal Man (GM): The book's gone; The books teleport back when learned. They're magic books. Maaaagical.
Digifanatic: "Ah... eh, I could go either way. More items or not, but hey, I don't mind making the extra stop."
Deloth: "Observatory's my vote."
Kenku sees the book is gone "Oh, heh... going to be hard for Ari to make a collection at this rate."
Digifanatic: "Yeah... So 2-1 in favor of the observatory..."
Kenku shrugs "whatever works I guess."
Digifanatic: "Well, we may not be done yet."
Panzer is in her garage, tinkering.
Deloth: "So. Looks like it's shopping time, then."
Digifanatic: "Let's see... Red wants to come with us for the ruins, and Panzer doesn't shop anyways, so I guess we'll pick them up later..." *He walks over to the library to look for Ari...*
Aribar says, "Greetings" as the door to the library opens, but keeps his nose glued into the book.
Digifanatic: "You interested in shopping right now?"
Aribar: "For what?"
Digifanatic: "Uhhh, well, we're heading towards that shop and observatory area in Termina. We're not really sure what's there but considering we got that letter a ways back, there may be something important."
Kenku: "Remember to get Marin and Tarin, since they seem to know the area."
Aribar: "Termina? I didn't know that place existed in this world. The last time I even HEARD the name was... Back when we were attacked by the Quester Hunters."
Metal Man (GM): Panzer would idly notice the Questers walking around, yammering about observatories. And then also the phone ringing.
Kenku says "I got it!" He gets the phone.
Aribar closes the book and sets it on one of the few shelves that aren't filled with absolutely nothing. "Sure, I need a break from that blasted book anyways."
Digifanatic: "Alright, sweet." *Walks back to where the others are.*
Panzer looks up, lifting a brow. There is something off. She's wearing jeans and a white tee shirt with a red, bloody cross hair on it, sitting and scrubbing her armor. No boots, letting her foot claws tap out some eerie beats. She had rhythm, at least.
Zero: "Hello. This is the Quester headquarters, right?"
Digifanatic: "Uh... hello, Panz."
Zero: "..." *Taps receiver on his end* "Hellooooo?"
Metal Man (GM): Kenku stares into the telephone like a zombie.
Panzer waves idly, still more or less stomping a beat of sorts. She gets up, walks over and snatches the phone. " What do you want, Zero."
Deloth grabs the phone out of Kenku's hand. "Hello?"
Metal Man (GM): Transfixed by the amazing modern technology he holds in his hands. He cannot get over the perfection of the square butto-----
Zero: "Finally! We've finally encountered that Zero Virus."
Julian Sawyer exits the residential area of the Stadium, fresh off a hot shower. He grabs his fedora off a nearby coat rack and places it upon his head as he walks to, well, where everyone else is "Finally gonna get some revenue in here... Del, who's on the phone?"
Panzer: "Good for you, what, do you want a fucking cookie?"
Zero: "It's not good. It's a good thing you stayed away. Even I couldn't kill it. We'd need the likes of Dr. Doppler to destroy him."
Dragoshi: *Listens to Del... and Panz talk to Zero.* :x
Zero: "We're sending everyone we can to find an antivirus to destroy it... the Zero Virus is spreading rapidly. Already I have constant nightmares about a shrouded man with a mustache."
Deloth: "Well. Good luck with finding him, then."
Zero: "I heard something about something you had which was made by Dr. Light."
Panzer: "Well fucking duh. You passed it off in the first place. We have to wait for it to be infectiously introduced into someone, then seal them off in stasis."
Zero: "It may be our only hope."
Panzer: "An antivirus program the bastard slipped me. I can't be infected with Goddamned anything, you want it, you can fucking have it."
Julian Sawyer: "Who the fuck is on the pho-nevermind." *Julian walks over to the phone's base and hits the speakerphone function.*
Zero: "But the Zero Virus has cordoned off the headquarters with possessed reploids of all kinds. Indeed, it appears to be resurrecting past reploids to attack us!"
Panzer sets the receiver down, tired of holding it funny due to her ears.
Deloth: "And you need us to help. Again. This is, what, the sixteenth time?"
Panzer: "Quarantine off who isn't infected, and hole up in a bunker. We'll be there soon."
Zero: "Will do." *Click.*
Julian Sawyer: "...so we're headin' to Maverick Island. Again."
Deloth: "Again. Excuse me for a second."
Julian Sawyer: "This shit better be the end of it, tired of havin' to go there over an' over again."
Panzer: "Deloth, shut up. This shit breaks loose and it threatens us, too. The Zero Virus isn't a joke. It's smart, it's not Sigma or Wily. This thing is just about as evil as it gets as far as a sentient virus goes."
Deloth heads up to one of the living quarters, grabs a pillow, and screams into it a few times.
Dragoshi: "..." *Blinks.*
Kenku: "Sadly, I have to agree with Panzer... this is not something that will be happy to stay in 1 place."
Julian Sawyer: "Well, let's get this shit under control then. Can't have this virus shit goin' on AN' run a stadium at the same time."
Digifanatic: "I'll be rather honest, I'm a bit ticked off about this as well... But like Julian's hinting at, gotta take care of it."
Panzer leaves bluntly to get her armor on, and to rally her bots. She looked serious for sonce, genuinly pissed. Armor was still burnt black, though. She walked back to them. "Grab what armor and weaponry you have."
Digifanatic: *Starts heading up for the ship, presuming Deloth will be following them after he leaves his room.*
Kenku heads for the ship, and starts to double check weapons systems.
Deloth: *Walks back to the others, still rather annoyed.*
Julian Sawyer: *Muttering* "Need those two suckas alive so I can put them on the card anyways... C'mon, let's move the fuck out! Ain't no time to waste!" *Julian heads back to his room, grabs his equipment bag, and then heads for the landing pad on the roof.*
Dragoshi: *Runs on up to ze ship!*
Deloth: "So. Think this'll be the end of this shit?"
Digifanatic: "I hope."
Deloth breaks into a run to keep up with the others.
Julian Sawyer: "How the fuck should I know? Knowin' our luck some other shit's gonna pop up as soon as we take this sucka down."
Kenku: "That area always seems to be being run amok... Unless X really has control, I doubt it."
Aribar hops onto the ship while looking like he's thinking of something.
Deloth: "X really doesn't seem to be the kind of person to keep things under control."
Kenku: "But... this should push it back to a stalemate at least... I hope..."
Metal Man (GM): People head aboard the ship. Who shall be piloting today?
Deloth takes a running jump into the ship, sliding over to an empty seat and buckling in.
Digifanatic: *He takes this thing off and sends it over to MavCon as soon as he knows everyone is sitting down.*
Panzer walks to the ship, Robots at her heels. She stands by the hull. "Alright. I'll be taking command ot this since this could be quite a pain to deal with. My secondary specialty to sniping is raid parties. You'd know them as "Snatch and Grab" Operations, If you don't feel like I'm competent enough or you don't like me that much, strike the fuck out on your own, you die, I don't care. You do follow me and I'll do my best to keep you alive, just like my unit. Got it?"
Julian Sawyer: *Throws his hands up as he takes a seat* "What the fuck ever, let's just get this over with."
Kenku is back in the weapons seat.
Deloth: "So. Any idea on how to stop something that can make a room explode?"
Metal Man (GM): Anyway, ship's full up and ready, I believe...
Panzer: "Don't piss it off, avoidance will be the best policy at this point."
Metal Man (GM): Just waiting on Digi to take off.
Kenku: "The solution is up to Zero and the hunters in the end, we're just the enabler."
