Super Smash Quest² - Story - Chapter 73: Jack Attack! (Also, Magic Experimentation)

Metal Man (GM): He looks around.
Panzer looks at Del. "Go away. I have to confer with Schatze."
Schatze: "I could get you into contact with Jack next, if it would be helpful."
Panzer: "You won't be able to live in my garage. It's full of argon right now. Just come with me for a moment. Dial him on the way."
Deloth: "... Actually, yes, I could if I wanted to."
Panzer: "Deloth, get away from me."
Digifanatic: .oO(Uh oh...)
Aribar: "It would be helpful, Schatze."
Deloth shrugs and steps away. "Just pointing that out..."
Schatze: "Very well." *He tunes the radio and hands it to Aribar, then walks over to the garage where Panzer is.*
Aribar stares at the radio for a few moments before turning to the others. "So, who knows how to call Jack on this thing?"
Metal Man (GM): It's tuned to some frequency. Maybe it's already on the right one.
Dragoshi: "Not me. Sorry."
Deloth: "I think Schatze tuned it for you."
Metal Man (GM): It's sitting on the weird frequency, which even has 'Jack' written on it. He must be chatting up everybody.
Deloth: "Well, there you go."
Digifanatic: "He must have known this would be a popular frequency."
Metal Man (GM): Anyone gonna use that radio, then?
Deloth: "...So CALL him already."
Digifanatic: *I'll take it this time--he needs something to say.*
Metal Man (GM): So, what do you say, Digi?
Digifanatic: *R* "Yes, Jack? We had received your warning just a small while ago..."
Jack: "You... calling me on the radio?" *He bursts out laughing.* "Ha ha ha ha... ha... what do you think that's going to do, you crazy idiot?"
Deloth: "So why have you gone back to frothing rage at us?"
Digifanatic: "Identify whether or not that was a threat or just a warning about someone else plotting to kill us. I believe that'd be the former."
Jack: "Well, I had this plan to kill this guy you tricked into attacking us, and then you helped me enough to then allow this machine to steal my anti-Ael device. Gee, you think that makes me happier?"
Panzer walks out of the garage and stands a moment. She's thinking.
Schatze: *Walks over* "Still talking to the maniac? It will not accomplish anything. Rather, I suggest you kill him before he figures a way out that works against you."
Digifanatic: *R* "Uh, no, sir."
Jack: "So, you sit there nice and tight, and I promise... you'll be dead real soon." *Click.*
Deloth: "...So, guys, who's up for a nice month-long vacation?"
Panzer walks over herself and looks at them a moment, arms crossed. "So. What's the word?"
Digifanatic: "Jack wants our blood..."
Panzer: "Why?"
Digifanatic: "We stole his Anti-Ael device..."
Deloth: "Because he's a fucking psycho?"
Panzer: "We must be good. I didn't even know we did that."
Digifanatic: "Yeah, I'm not even sure I know about that either..."
Aribar: "If I recall correctly, Vylch stole it."
Digifanatic: "Yeah..."
Kenku: "What do you guys know about Vylch anyway?"
Aribar: "He likes being invincible."
Digifanatic: "He's a wacko that respawns too much."
Deloth: "So are we going to evade or fight?"
Schatze: "We can take Jack. James Bond did, at least."
Deloth: "It's like he's got the same magic that we do..."
Kenku: "I see... hmm... guess not with what Im thinking... Anyone know who would of been able to get hold of old stadium parts?"
Schatze: "I only have vague knowledge on the subject."
Panzer: "I'll be back in a few minutes. Gotta go check something out."
Digifanatic: "Well, old Stadium parts..."
Panzer walks off to her garage and gets her ship and loads her metools onto it, then starts to power it up and get ready for takeoff.
Schatze: "Dr. Robotnik?"
Metal Man (GM): The ship powers up.
Digifanatic: "Yeah. And though I doubt it, I suppose you could add Meta Knight to the list. Since he helped repair our ship once."
Panzer takes off, then, setting a weird course and ... Goes.
Metal Man (GM): The ship takes off.
Schatze: "So... ...going to stay here until Jack comes?"
Digifanatic: "Nah..."
Deloth: "...There is also you, Schatze."
Kenku: "Well... We can scratch Robo off the list since Ael has already checked with him... I don't see why Meta would want anything to do with Ael... hmmm"
Aribar: "...Honestly, I don't see how we can deal with his staff of destruction."
Digifanatic: "I was still hoping to aid Marley."
Kenku: "Jack's coming here? Oh great..."
Digifanatic: "Which might set up an interesting scenario if Jack finds out there. Likely not one in our favor, but Jack and Marley having to mouth each other off..."
Deloth: "Yeah, we may have to make a run for it..."
Kenku: "How do you know Jack still listens to Marley?"
Deloth: "How about that island we went to?"
Schatze: "I can contact Marley, or you can."
Digifanatic: "Well, yeah, I was hoping to tell him our commitment's still on."
Kenku: "I'll help ya with the cleanup Digi if Jack doesn't plan to be here for a bit"
Digifanatic: "Schatze, help me find his frequency and I'll give him a buzz."
Schatze: "I must be the radio or something." *He flips the dial.* "Here."
Digifanatic: "Thanks." *R* "Hello, Marley? You available?"
Marley: "What's up?"
Digifanatic: *R* "Hi, we're still interested in helping to clean up the city... and by the way, Jack is soon to be hot on our rears."
Marley: "..." *He coughs.* "Well... well... well... I guess it's my fault for introducing you to him in the first place. I'll handle him."
Digifanatic: *R* "How? I doubt he's in the mood for a nice tea and crumpets."
Deloth: "So if you happen to have a way to nullify that stick of whoopass he's got..."
Aribar: "...What are we expecting Marley to do? Send the army after him?"
Marley: "Ohhh... ...you haven't seen me."
Digifanatic: *To Ari* "Noooo clue."
Marley: "I was an ex-GUN agent too. I didn't specialize in killing people but... ...I know all of Jack's tricks. I'll come right there."
Digifanatic: *R* "Uhhh, no, rather, we'd prefer leaving our base right now."
Deloth: "We would?"
Digifanatic: *R* "Because if he tries to kill us, I have a feeling he'd want to level the base. And that'd be about the second one in a week."
Marley: "Well if you move he'll chase you. I don't think he'll stay and fight me if you leave."
Digifanatic: *R* "Oh, color me misconceived."
Marley: "He knows he can't easily win against me. And if he does you will be able to finish him off."
Deloth: "...Makes sense."
Marley: "I will be a moment. Hang tight." *Click.*
Kenku: "Wait... wait... you sure you can't just talk some sense into him... or at least scare him off?"
Digifanatic: "Kenku, I think Jack is beyond the point of talk right now."
Deloth: "...Kenku. Have you been paying any attention to Jack? At all?"
Digifanatic: "We're dealing with a recluse whose nickname is 'Widowmaker'."
Kenku: "I know I know Del... but I would rather not lose a ally."
Aribar: "Perhaps we could choose a fighting ground where we would have an advantage, or at least the low risk of property damage, if Jack would chase us?"
Deloth: "Like what? A hall of mirrors to nullify his boomstick?"
Aribar: "...That gives me an idea."
Deloth: "...Wha?"
Aribar: "Do you think Jack would forgive us if I opened up a portal to a Plane of Gold?"
Metal Man (GM): You see special GUN helicopters fly in. Marley gets out.
Digifanatic: "No. I doubt he cares about money right now." *Sees Marley* "Hello again."
Marley: "Hello." *He's wearing a GUN uniform.* "It is surprising how things have changed. I am once again with GUN, and Jack... is out to kill you. But do not fear. We have researched his artifact. He will fall."
Digifanatic: "Ahh, so what's the counter-device?"
Deloth: "A wood chipper?"
Marley: "It's not specifically a device but rather a spell and some enchantments."
Metal Man (GM): He walks over to the Southwest part of this area.
Deloth: "So we can't steal it off of him? Dang."
Marely: "He's coming, I know it."
Digifanatic: "Ah, like ancient echidna stuff or something?"
Deloth follows Marley.
Digifanatic: *Follows.*
Marley: "Stand back. You might be hit by some of the missing attacks..."
Deloth: "Why is he such a nutcase, anyways?" *He blinks and steps back.*
Marley: "Bad... bad experiences."
Kenku decides to head up the defense room just in case.
Jack: "Not quite bad enough to match this." *Marley turns around as Jack appears to the side, holding his spear.*
Marley: "Your feud is petty. Give it up."
Jack: "Hiding behind Marley, are you? It doesn't matter, he's outdated."
Aribar steps back and casts Wall on himself.
Digifanatic: *Also clears the scene.*
Jack: "Now... you will be destroyed. Like all pathetic life!"
Marley: "Strong words to the head of GUN."
Jack: "Your head is nothing, your position a joke. You rule one town."
Metal Man (GM): He takes his staff and points it at Marley, who takes an odd stance.
Jack: "Ready to die, I see. Let's get this over with!"
Metal Man (GM): Marley stands there as Jack fires a ray of death at him. Marley flicks a hand and the beam is deflected. His men then open fire on Jack with automatic gunfire.
Deloth: "...Niiiiiice."
Aribar: "This is going to be anticlimactic..."
Metal Man (GM): Jack is hit repeatedly, but the staff glows and he continues standing.
Dragoshi: "..." *Blinks.*
Jack: "Hah... you call that an attack? You don't know what I can do now!"
Digifanatic: .oO(Stalemate?)
Metal Man (GM): Jack takes the staff and holds it more like a battle staff. Both ends glow with lethal energy.
Jack: "Block all of this, then!"
Metal Man (GM): Marley holds up a hand, blocking several swipes as the staff is spun rapidly.
Aribar: .oO(I am now glad that Marley is on our side...)
Metal Man (GM): Jack spins it faster and faster, glowing with an eerie white with green-aftertone as the ancient spear's magic appears to fill his wounds. Marley parries every single attack with his bare hands. Jack's expression hardens.
Jack: "What, you have no weapon??? You can't defend forever... d--"
Digifanatic: *Mumbles* "I hope they don't blow this place up..."
Metal Man (GM): Marley's left hand deviates ever so slightly and punches Jack in the ribs. *CRACK.*
Marley: "Your anger is your weakness." *The other men open fire on him again, but Jack deflects a number of the shots with the staff.*
Jack: "You don't know who I work with, do you? Do you? I've only been using these moves because I wanted to warn you... back off, or I will do things you have never seen!"
Aribar: "Warn us of what?! This is not how you warn someone!"
Dragoshi: "Yeah."
Marley: "Your bluffs are, as always, empty." *He waves a hand and a helicopter strafes Jack from behind.*
Dragoshi: "It's a pretty stupid way to warn someone." :x
Jack: "Aaaaargh!" *He falls over.*
Digifanatic: *To the other Questers* "This is not when we step in, right?"
Dragoshi: *To Digi* "Wait for it..."
Deloth: "Can we decapitate him now, Marley?"
Dragoshi: "I said wait for it."
Marley: "IF you want to risk death." *He approaches Jack slowly.* "I won't fall for any of your feints."
Metal Man (GM): Panzer's ship and her tank lands in the distance. Not very far distance, but it does.
Marley: "Go ahead, try to surprise me."
Jack: "You're the boss!"
Metal Man (GM): He leaps up and attacks, as before. Marley blocks them all. However, then something else quite bizarre occurs.
Jack: "You think you're so powerful... you're stuck in the past! TIME FREEZE!"
Deloth: "...The hell?"
Panzer lands her ships and unhooks her tank and puts her ship in the garage, watching the gaggle, if not frozen or anything.
Metal Man (GM): Jack suddenly teleports from the place he was before, as Marley is hit by attacks all around him simultaneously, as if Jack had a whole round all to himself. Jack reappears, laughing, to Marley's side.
Kenku sees Panzer land and heads for the garage "Find anything interesting?"
Jack: "You utter fool. The old powers are strong. But these spellbooks are stronger!"
Panzer: "Oh. I got my present. But no. I wanted to take you guys with me on that errand."
Marley: "Your... tricks... won't dissuade me." *The men open fire en masse. Jack laughs.*
Jack: "WALL!"
Metal Man (GM): The bullets bounce off of a wall around him like nothing.
Deloth: "Oh, great."
Panzer: "... Do I need to step in on that fight?"
Dragoshi: "Wonderful."
Jack: "ANNIHILAAAAAATE!"
Metal Man (GM): The men with guns crumple over as blue lightning insta-kills them.
Marley: "What is this... ...where is this..."
Jack: "The Questers wisely stole my anti-magic weapons. So I just found a very evil man who granted my heart's delight for magic items."
Kenku: "I dunno if it would be wise to step in on this fight..."
Panzer: "Oooh. More guns. She walks over and starts to pick up the guns of the fallen, carrying back to her garage."
Jack: "You're done for, Marley!"
Aribar: "...You... You went to that evil island, didn't you?"
Marley: "I won't be stopped by mere spells." *He jabs at Jack, only to hit the wall. Jack laughs.*
Dragoshi: "...You're a real piece of work you know that, don't you."
Kenku races back upstairs to the weapons room and tries to lock on Jack.
Panzer looks over at Jack with an armful of guns. "Thanks, Jack."
Jack: "Some nutter simply wanted some dumb people dead. I said I'd do it for him and he gave me all the money in the world."
Metal Man (GM): The weapons room isn't even online, Kenku.
Panzer: "I can put these to good use."
Aribar: .oO(This is my fault...)
Jack: "Now you die, Marley!"
Kenku slams his fist finding that, and tries to see if he can boot it up.
Aribar: "Defense!" *The half-elf casts Ward around Marley!*
Jack: "CURSEDIREELEMENTDIREELEMENTDIREELEMENTDIREELEMENT!!!."
Metal Man (GM): Will check, Aribar.
Panzer watches the fight, sitting on her tank, guns in the garage.
Metal Man (GM): You throw off his magic. Marley is still knocked over. He turns to Aribar, laughing.
Jack: "What, you think you can stop me? I thought you needed to hide behind the old timer? Hit me with all you've got, weakling!"
Panzer: "Heya Jack, why do you think we took your Anti-Ael thing?"
Jack: "I don't care anymore. I can kill you all!"
Digifanatic: .oO(Words are not good right now, Panzer...)
Aribar: *Staff of death still in his hands?*
Jack: "...Although if you stand aside I may only need to kill most of you..."
Metal Man (GM): Yes. It's glowing sinisterly.
Panzer: "Well. Ok. Just leave me alone. I didn't do anything to you."
Digifanatic once again hopes for one thing he tries to do last mission... can he use a Will check in an attempt to Gather Smash Energy?
Metal Man (GM): You don't need a will check; Digi gathers smash energy, but Jack laughs at him.
Aribar: "Hit you with my best shot? Fine. You're no mage compared to me!"
Jack: "Hah! I can gather all the energy in the world!"
Aribar thrusts his hand towards Jack and attempts to wrest control of the staff from him and have it fly to the Whallerian's hand! Disarm + Kinesis!
Panzer: "Oh. Goody. More magic fights. Baaaah."
Metal Man (GM): Panzer: He is technically distracted.... Anyone else could technically interfere, although he's quick with spells.
Jack: "Try it again, I dare you!"
Aribar: .oO(How can he be just as powerful as me?!)
Metal Man (GM): The staff shook in his hand but did not leave it.
Panzer taps her foot, listening to music in her head. "Heya guys. Ari might want help, you know."
Deloth glances over at Marley. Is he getting back up?
Dragoshi: *Just watches this mess, waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike, sword and bread at the ready...*
Aribar tries to subtly cast Counter on himself before flinging a wave of mind-altering magic at Jack; a weak cantrip, but it may throw the villain off. Confusion!
Metal Man (GM): Marley seems to be cringing on the ground.
Kenku tries to activate the stadium's defenses.
Metal Man (GM): He deflects it. Kenku: They're... not done yet. The engineers tell you that it's best if the Stadium is NOT used to attack with all that fresh paint. Lest it explode.
Panzer walks over to Marley and looks down at him.
Metal Man (GM): But if you insist you could try to activate it anyway. :p
Digifanatic: *Sighs* "This sounds like it's going nowhere..." *Walks away behind Jack's side of the battle*
Kenku remembers that and walks out of the weapons area and back down to the mainstay.
Digifanatic: *Mumbling to himself* "Well, so much for this peaceful day..."
Jack: "Nowhere? Nowhere? Nowhere? Hah... hah!" *He holds his staff at Aribar.* "Die!" *He fires the Death ray at Aribar.*
Panzer picks Marley off and hauls him off to the medicine cabinet.
Aribar: "I was hoping for that!" .oO(For the love of Whaller, please hold, Spell!)
Marley: "Ugh..." *You do so. Much to Marley's help, as he is healed.*
Panzer opens up the cabinet once the healing is done to let him out, walks away and sits back on her tank.
Metal Man (GM): The attack hits Aribar... ...but Aribar isn't like any normal person. Will check, Aribar. High enough and it will only do... damage. Appears this weapon preys most on those with no soul. Or those with no magic. Aribar stumbles, taking 40 damage... ...but the death ray fails. The beam goes back and hits Jack. Who merely laughs.
Panzer looks at Marley. "Well. Get going. Go help him, soldier."
Jack: "The more of this energy, the more powerful I am! ...Why are you even alive???"
Deloth: "...Because we're us?"
Aribar staggers backwards several feet, but still stands. "Is that the best you've got, Jack?"
Jack: "Shut up, Deloth." *He fires a death ray at Deloth.*
Dragoshi: *Just subtly wards himself. Thrice.* :x
Metal Man (GM): Deloth crumples over from the hit, dead. Marley gets up.
Aribar casts a restorative spell on himself and barely a mark remains from the death ray. "We're the Questers, Jack. You've seen us fight; we are more than a match for you."
Jack: "No you're not!" *He fires a death ray at Dragoshi.*
Dragoshi: *Just sways back and forth slightly...*
Digifanatic suddenly does an about face, staring straight down at Jack, with a sly smile on his face. He quietly whips out his glowing Digivice and holds it to his body, letting that beautiful light energy surround his body... once again, he takes a quick stare at Jack's backside, suddenly zooming in from out of nowhere, smashing into Jack once...
Aribar: .oO(Oh, by Whaller, this is bad. How did I live? Why did Deloth die?! This is NOT very heroic!)
Metal Man (GM): *BLAM.*
Dragoshi: *Triple ward = goggles?*
Digifanatic: *Turning back... stopping inside Jack. Cue digital light explosion as Digi goes flying one direction, hopefully remnants of Jack in another.*
Metal Man (GM): Dragoshi is knocked down to 1 HP and knocked over.
Dragoshi: *Lets out a roar of intense pain, and falls over.*
Metal Man (GM): The ward merely saved his life.
Panzer just sits on her tank and taps on her foot.
Jack: "You su--" *BLAMMO* *Roll attack roll, Digi.*
Dragoshi: .oO(Son... of a... aaaaauuugh...)
Metal Man (GM): Melee +1, Digi.
Panzer walks over to Dragoshi and hauls him off to the cabinet.
Metal Man (GM): Jack blocks the final smash.
Jack: "...You're pathetic!"
Metal Man (GM): He goes to merely smack Digi over the head.
Aribar tries to wrest away the staff once more while Jack is distracted!
Marley: "He cannot be killed as long as he has that magic..."
Metal Man (GM): Digi is knocked into the ground for 40 damage. Then the staff flies to the left of Jack, who turns around and points at Aribar.
Panzer leaves Dragoshi stuffed in the medical cabinet and goes back and sits on her tank.
Aribar: *Kinesis, grab staff!*
Jack: "Counter!" *...IF Aribar had any swords, or weapons, they fly off of him.*
Kenku goes for the staff.
Metal Man (GM): Cabinet doesn't revive death.
Aribar watches as Sunlight flies out of its sheath.
Metal Man (GM): Marley goes over to his commanders.
Dragoshi: *Is stuck in the cabinet! And his voice is muffled* "Thanks." :x
Jack: "You want to play crazy? Let's play crazy then!" *He kinesises over Sunlight.* "Hit me! Hit me with the staff if you dare!"
Panzer watches Marley, still tapping her foot.
Metal Man (GM): No, Deloth. Shoulda warded first.
Digifanatic runs back to the medicine cabinet, pulls Dragoshi out IF he is fully healed, and tries to heal himself too.
Metal Man (GM): Digi and Dragoshi are fully healed.
Dragoshi: *Tiredly gets back up.* "Eugh... That really sucked."
Metal Man (GM): Marley notices Del is dead and snaps his fingers. Medics go to... resuscitate him, but it'll be a bit. Aribar has the staff.
Digifanatic: *While still hiding in the medical area* "I tried one of my big moves but he parried it away..."
Aribar: .oO(Chances are he has a counter spell up... Hm.)
Kenku: "Use it or break it Ari!"
Jack: "I'll show you what this sword can do!"
Metal Man (GM): He swings Sunlight.
Panzer walks over and looks at the helicopters, more or less just staying out of the way.
Metal Man (GM): A giant wave of fire flies out, threatening Aribar and Kenku. *FWOOSH* 50 damage to Kenku.
Aribar casts Plane: Magma on the ground in an attempt to create a portal!
Dragoshi: *Just silently sways back and forth and waits...*
Metal Man (GM): Will check, Aribar. Aribar also takes 50 damage. Kenku: You may do a round's worth of attacks against Jack if you choose.
Jack: "Give it up, stubborn mage! One more hit and you're dead! COUNTER!"
Kenku attempts to counter with a swift strike and then a powerful one.
Metal Man (GM): Jack is burned by magma. He uses Kenku's sword attack to back off. Then he leaps over his slam attack.
Aribar casts the staff into the fires of Mount D... the magma!
Metal Man (GM): And goes to impale Kenku in the head with an overhead sword attack! Yes. Marley is planning something...
Panzer goes and sits about 30 ft away from Jack, still just watching.
Metal Man (GM): The staff flies towards the portal as Kenku takes 70 damage and has Sunlight stabbed into his head. And is on fire.
Jack: "No... you won't win today!" *He gestures.* "KINESIS!" *The staff returns to him.*
Kenku using a charge of Minor and tries to remove the sword.
Metal Man (GM): He is panting, exhausted from the effort. Kenku spends his time recovering from being stabbed as Jack begins to stand up. The helicopters lift off and begin firing at him.
Jack: "Owowowowowow WALL ...Much better."
Panzer: "Hey Jack, you know who stole that Anti-Ael device, right?"
Jack: "That Vylch... I don't want it anymore! Once I kill this Mage you're history!"
Metal Man (GM): He turns to Aribar.
Dragoshi: *Mutters under his breath* "Bread..." *Dragoshi quickly zooms over to Jack, and attempts to smash him in the face with the bread. Twice.* (If that's allowed)
Metal Man (GM): Will check, Aribar.
Panzer: "Who, me? Why me? I didn't do anything."
Jack: "AYAYAYAYAYAYA--" *He's hit by bread and electricity.*
Metal Man (GM): No need to roll; he was in 'boss stun' mode, so it all insta-hit.
Aribar quickly casts Cure twice on himself.
Dragoshi: "Suck it!."
Panzer gets up and walks off, into the woods and disappears.
Metal Man (GM): Aribar casts cure twice on himself, then Jack casts Death Ray at Aribar. Will check! Only much harder! Jack is attacked by some men shooting at him from behind, as his wall begins to crumble. Aribar falls over, dead.
Dragoshi: *Quickly switches out the bread for the Blaster and... re-triple wards himself. Again.*
Jack: "Hah... hah! I win! You're all going to die!"
Kenku puts himself out and places his sword and away, charging Jack with sunlight.
Metal Man (GM): He gets stabbed by the fiery sword.
Jack: "Bah!" *He points the staff at Kenku.* "Die!"
Dragoshi: "..." *Calmly points the Blaster at Jack, then proceeds to blast him in the face with it thrice.*
Metal Man (GM): Yes, Dragoshi. His dodge will be lower due to being busy shooting at Kenku. Kenku: Dodge check.
Panzer lays in a tree, far out of sight, camouflaged. She lines up a shot on Jack, watching the wall crumble. She is patient and waits for the wall to come down all the way if possible. When it does, she takes her shot after careful aiming and all that hogwash. She's using an anti-vehicle round. She's also going for a headshot.
Metal Man (GM): He is hit by the second one. Damage begins to show as Kenku is blasted down, dead. He is hit by the sniper bullet in the back of the head, then by Dragoshi's shot. Then Marley's men run out and attack him en masse with machinegun bullets.
Digifanatic really isn't sure whether or not to move back in the field now... his Final Smash didn't work, he has no spells...
Jack: "W... WWW... WA... R..."
Metal Man (GM): He clutches the staff as it begins to glow more and more.
Jack: "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRGHHHHHH!!!!!" *He floats up, and a sphere of white energy surrounds him.*

Jack: "YOU. CANNOT. WIN! YOU... MUST... DIEEEEEEEEE!!!!!"
Metal Man (GM): His staff cracks.
Digifanatic: *Good thing he's still lurking in the med area.*
Metal Man (GM): He can no longer cast insta-death attacks.
Marley: "Quick! We must take him down!"
Metal Man (GM): People who are alive: Roll inits.
Dragoshi: "...No, really?"
Metal Man (GM): Later on, yes, Deloth. The medics are... trying to revive those who were cut down prematurely.
Digifanatic: *Runs in.*
Dragoshi: "'Cause I was thinking of having a fucking TEA PARTY!"
Metal Man (GM): Yes, Panzer isn't even seen or noticed by Jack.
Panzer radios Marley. "This is Panzer. Keep him distracted and I'll start ripping his head apart from here."
Marley: *R* "Roger, my men shall try to keep him from charging anything up."
Jack: "How... ...why are any of you still alive? ...No matter. You suck!"
Panzer: *R* "I just don't want him to notice where the shots are coming from, that's all. He can't guard against them if he doesn't know where I'm at."
Dragoshi: "Will you shut up, already!?"
Metal Man (GM): Jack is attacked by several attack helicopters. Rockets and missiles hit his sphere.
Dragoshi: "Jesus fuck, you talk too much!"
Jack: "Maybe you should listen to yourself talk first, egotistical brat!"
Dragoshi: *Rolls eyes.*
Jack: "LOOK AT ME I'M TOUGH JESUS F#$& YOU'RE ANNOYING ME NOW I'M AWESOME.'"
Dragoshi: "Did I say I was awesome?"
Jack: "SHUT UP ALREADY EVERYONE SHOULD HEAR MY VOICE INSTEAD."
Metal Man (GM): He's about as distracted as it gets.
Dragoshi: "Blah blah blah blah blah blah." *Has now decided to stop taking Jack seriously.*
Jack: "Blah blah blah yourself! We're not so different! I'm just more intelligent."
Dragoshi: "..." *Chuckles. Looks like he's trying to stop himself from going into full-blown laughter.*
Panzer starts to line up another shot, loading another big, heavy round into the chamber and pushing the bolt forward. She takes her time... She's aiming for his head again, to dig that hole just a little bit deeper.
Metal Man (GM): Busy yelling at Dragoshi, he's hit in the head.
Jack: "Gaaahhhh! Ow... Urgh... ...Where did that come from???"
Metal Man (GM): He looks around...
Dragoshi: "Blah."
Panzer is still and silent, camouflaged.
Metal Man (GM): Deals 50 damage. It's a bit gross to see Jack's head heal from that.
Dragoshi: *Smiles as he sees that happen.*
Jack: "I'm going to take a page from our friend Dragoshi, who has so helpfully told me what I should do." *He clears his throat.* "Jesus f#$k, you talk too much! Blah blah blah blah blah blah!"
Metal Man (GM): He then makes a gesture, and the sphere glows.
Dragoshi: *Coughs.*
Metal Man (GM): White lightning flies from it, threatening everyone!!! Roll defense checks. 50 damage if hit. Not Panzer, actually. Too far away.
Dragoshi: *Oh god my face.*
Metal Man (GM): A helicopter is blasted down.
Panzer lays claim to the helicopter.
Jack: "You know what? I think I'm going to make bread cry. My new catchphrase? CROUTON!" *He holds out a hand and fires a massive beam of fire at Dragoshi!!!*
Metal Man (GM): Dragoshi is fried for 77 damage.
Jack: "Just try to shoot me now! WALL!" *His turn ends with a large wall protecting him.*
Dragoshi: *Is immolated, but he, yanno. Survives.*
Digifanatic is a bit stubborn right now, but why not? He focuses all of his temper into his hands as he hopes to break the wall away in one crumbling smash. Golf Club Ram to the Wall.
Metal Man (GM): I just realized I have two duplicate Wall spells. One for Level 1, one for level 3. This would be the level 3 variant. However, there is a catch to it... He must try to maintain it with his will to keep being protected. Which he fails to do. Digi's attack shatters the wall, deals no damage.
Digifanatic: "Have at it, folks..."
Panzer silently, slowly takes some rounds from her mag and puts them into her chest and starts to irradiate them.
Dragoshi: *Just yawns, aims the Blaster at Jack and lets out the usual three-shot barrage.*
Metal Man (GM): Miss hit hit. Marley's squad Marley's squad fire grenades at him.
Jack: "Aaaargh!" *BLAM BLAM BLAM.*
Metal Man (GM): He takes 50 more damage. He is distracted... and still has no clue where Panzer is, or that she's even attacking him.
Panzer takes one of the irradiated rounds out of herself and she chambers it, taking aim for his head again and fires once more, slow to pull the trigger yet again and still camouflaged.
Metal Man (GM): Even without the 7 he is hit again for 50 damage.
Jack: "Gaaaaaah! You annoying idiots!"
Metal Man (GM): He is irradiated.
Jack: "Enough of this..." *He glows, the radiation dissipating.* "I shall find you now! SENSORY!"
Metal Man (GM): He detects Panzer using magic.
Jack: "... ..." *She's still so far away he can't just reach out and hit her.* "Come hither! CONTROL!" *He attempts to hit her with a long-range control spell.*
Metal Man (GM): Dodge check, Panzer. A spell used to move objects up to and including small houses. Panzer and a bunch of trees go flying into close range; Panzer takes 50 damage. But due to all that Jack used up his turn doing just that.
Panzer clings to the tree, then stands up, sighing. She'd move back towards the woods at a high speed if possible.
Metal Man (GM): On your turn.
Digifanatic takes a sigh and decides to simply Fire Punch Mega Jack twice... cause he can.
Metal Man (GM): Which you'll get before Jack strikes again.
Jack: "Hah! H-- Hah!"
Metal Man (GM): He dodges both.
Dragoshi: *Just keeps on doing the faceblasting.*
Metal Man (GM): Nah, they've only used grenades and bullets. He gets blasted in the face thrice. You'll have to figure it out. More importantly, he's close to the ground... Marley's Squad continues firing at Jack.
Jack: "OWOWOWOWOW STOP THAAAAT!"
Metal Man (GM): 50 more damage.
Panzer runs to her tank, gets in, locks the lid on it, powers the turret up, loads in a tank round, secures the chamber block and takes aim, dialing things into the elevation and distance. She fires it at Jack, aimed for Center mass.
Metal Man (GM): INT + 1 check. Jack's not expecting that either. You hit him, but something unexpected happens ..He flies away, with the shell continuing its arc.
Dragoshi: "..."
Panzer lifts a brow and watches through the periscope.
Jack: "YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOUUUUUU---" *BAM.*
Panzer pops her head outside to watch, peeking out of the tank.
Dragoshi: "...Well, then."
Panzer: "I guess that tank rounds are not supposed to be used against people... Or freaks. Is he dead?"
Marley: "Well, no. But he's gone. I think that's fine for now."
Panzer: "Dammit. Well. We can kill him later, I guess."
Marley: "His staff can't kill anymore. So he can't march up again. I fear he will find a new way though."
Panzer powers the tank down and gets out. "You're going to give me that wrecked 'copter, right?"
Digifanatic: *Sigh* "Yeah, the ending I wasn't really hoping for?"
Marley: "A pile of wreckage? Take it away."
Panzer: "Well, you guys want me to go run him over?"
Metal Man (GM): The dead people would suddenly wake up, no longer dead. Seems the damage to the staff broke the spell .. .. Oh god. What about the other people he killed with it???
Deloth blinks and sits up, rubbing his head. "Ugh... man, that gave me one whopper of a headache..."
Aribar: "Ele! ... Where am I? Where is Jack?"
Deloth: "Please tell me you kicked his ass."
Marley: "Sort of."
Digifanatic: "Well, phase one is complete."
Marley: "We launched him away with a direct tank attack. Unfortunately he still lives."
Deloth: "STILL?!"
Digifanatic: "But his death staff is done for."
Aribar: "Should we go after him? Do we know where he lives?"
Schatze: *Walks over* "Tsk... He was always a poor minion to me. And now I see he does no better as a villain."
Deloth: "...A what?"
Schatze: "If you want him dead, I can help you. But I just want one last favor. Then no more. I know I've asked for many, but this is something the Questers can only do."
Dragoshi: "...and that is?"
Aribar: "Hm?"
Deloth: "So what favor is it this time? More parts?"
Schatze: "Parts... parts are no problem. You, as Questers... have a special life force. The opposite of Jack's death weapon."
Deloth: "What, the revival magic?"
Schatze: "With your help I can combine what I saw here to create a device which would cancel out the staff. I have the parts. But I will need your foremost magical authority... ...does he have the ability to enchant anything?"
Aribar: "No, but I unfortunately know where a spellbook with the knowledge lies."
Dragoshi: "Yeah..."
Deloth: "...Oh, not THERE again..."
Schatze: "Perhaps there are other copies elsewhere?"
Aribar: "It is in the hands of the same man that gave Jack all of his magic..."
Metal Man (GM): Colonel Berge walks over, dusting his hands off.
Digifanatic: *To Berge* "Yes, sir?"
Aribar: "I queried Merlon, a fortune teller and a diviner of objects, on the subject. While the dark mage's library was the only place that showed up, I suppose it is possible that it isn't the only one."
Colonel Berge: "Well, good work, Questers. Not a thing hit the Stadium, and we're about done with it."
Kenku gets up still in pain, and runs to the medicine cabinet quickly.
Colonel Berge: "Jack has been placed on the enemy list. We shall see about getting our allies to help remove him."
Digifanatic: "Unfortunately, we're not done with our... thing."
Colonel Berge: "Good luck in hunting him down. The first person to kill him earns 500 coins."
Aribar: "If I may make a horribly selfish request, do you happen to know where Jack lives?"
Colonel Berge: "Of course if you, the Questers do it... then you get to split it up. Not a clue."
Schatze: "If I did I would have told you."
Marley: "Dangit! His gold hoard has to be SOMEWHERE."
Kenku comes back from the medicine cabinet a little less soar. "Gold Hoard?"
Aribar: "Hm. I see. Nevermind..."
Deloth: *Tiredly* "Why can't you just have Ari open the Plane of Money?"
Marley: "I dunno. I'm not him."
Schatze: "Don't ask me, I doubt such a plane exists."
Kenku: "It's probably booby trapped to explode Del if people try to steal from it."
Deloth: "Booby-trapped? With what?"
Colonel Berge: "Rather than answer a random question, I will go to finish up work. Goood luck!" *He salutes, and walks off.*
Aribar goes to cast a Plane spell to the plane of gold a little bit away from the others.
Metal Man (GM): Aribar: You see a hole which... ...goes to a brick of gold. Hm. EVERYTHING is made of gold there. Even the air. Sorta hard to enter it. And try as you might, nothing seems to dent it.
Kenku: "I dunno..."
Panzer walks up to the hole. "Can I?"
Metal Man (GM): Aribar's the one in charge of it. The gold is seemingly right there to grab.
Aribar: "Go ahead, Panzer... And didn't someone have a mask that dealt with mining?"
Deloth: *Raises his hand.*
Aribar: "Yes? Oh, right. You... Could TRY the mask. Of course, we have no idea what the bad side effects of it are."
Digifanatic: "Yeah."
Deloth: "Probably nothing short-term, but long-term effects are damage to health and insanity. Of course, I'm already a mutated freak and I'm probably insane by now anyways..."
Metal Man (GM): He smoked a pipe made of radioactive peach cobbler. Peach cobbler: It's what kids want for lunch!
Panzer tries to enter the realm. She should have enough mass and force to be able to push her way through. Gold is rather soft for a metal.
Kenku stands by the portal ready to pull Panzer out if something crazy starts to happen.
Deloth: "Want me to try the miner's mask, guys?"
Metal Man (GM): Panzer: It appears to reject non-gold particles. You stand atop it and yet you can't seem to enter it. *BAM BAM* It's like a wall. But not of gold... of magic.
Panzer lifts a brow and grumbles. She walks away, to the wrecked helicopter and looks it over for fixable value.
Aribar casts Ele to try and melt some of the gold and then uses Kinesis to pull it out.
Deloth: "...Seriously, I could try it if you wanted."
Metal Man (GM): Well, it looks like someone electrified and melted everything in it, including the people.
Aribar: "Let me try this first."
Digifanatic: "Well, we'd need like a golden-tipped axe for this to... oh nice idea."
Metal Man (GM): The chassis is usable. That's about it. Ele bounces off, as it isn't made of gold. At least, you didn't make it out of gold.
Aribar: "..." *He casts Ele: Gold next to the portal.*
Metal Man (GM): Aribar summons gold out of his finger.
Panzer pulls it out, starts sorting out scrap metal that could be used for other things. Pulls other things away she wants.
Metal Man (GM): Suddenly the plane of gold is no longer useful.
Deloth: "..."
Metal Man (GM): All the gold he shoots at it goes into the plane of gold and stays there.
Panzer: "Ari, can you make a plane of Titanium alloy?"
Deloth: "Hey, Ari, close that portal. I want to try something."
Digifanatic: "Well, if chemistry is correct, he should. What were you thinking, Deloth?"
Deloth: "An idea that will either make us rich or confound us in some way..."
Aribar: *Plane: Titanium alloy.*
Deloth tries casting Ele:Diamond.
Metal Man (GM): Deloth shoots a bunch of diamonds.
Aribar: *Also, closes the gold portal.*
Metal Man (GM): Now a similar block-world of titanium appears.
Panzer tries to go into that one.
Metal Man (GM): There's only one problem. The diamonds vanish after a few moments. Panzer: Now the titanium parts of yourself can enter, but they're literally eaten by entering the portal--you can't remove them.
Deloth: "Hrm. This still has possibilities..."
Metal Man (GM): Going in too far and you might lose an entire hand.
Panzer lifts a brow and gets away from it. "That's fucked up."
Metal Man (GM): Seems the portal goes both ways--eating titanium, not letting it out either.
Digifanatic: "Well, Ari's spells do dissipate after a while. It's not the flames or the bolts just stay there..."
Deloth: "What I'd give for a permanency effect..."
Schatze: "Enchant will make things permanent."
Digifanatic: "Then I think it'd be a summon sp--oh."
Schatze: "So it looks like we still want it."
Panzer: "Deloth, want a special bullet?"
Schatze: "Summon, yes, but enchant is cheaper."
Deloth: "Is it going to be fired at me, Panz?"
Aribar: "For twenty coins or so, that Merlon fellow can find spells."
Panzer: "Nope." *She pulls out the other irradiated bullets and hands them over, they'd been in there all fight long.* :P
Aribar: "And speaking of money... May I borrow three coins from someone?"
Deloth: "...Why is this bullet making my hand tingle?"
Panzer: "No idea."
Metal Man (GM): Deloth begins slowly losing HP.
Kenku tosses Ari 3 coins.
Aribar: "Thank you; I don't want to give up my spellbooks yet."
Panzer: "Try eating it. See what happens."
Deloth: "...This thing burns." *Tosses the bullet back to Panzer.*
Panzer catches it, looks down at it. "You're imagining things. It doesn't bother me."
Digifanatic: "Well, he's not a machine..."
Aribar: "...Can a reploid feel things?"
Panzer: "I think you're just weird." *She looks around for Colonel Berge.*
Deloth: "Panz, my hand is blistered."
Metal Man (GM): Berge is busy overseeing the last bit of work.
Panzer: "We register pain, yes."
Metal Man (GM): You find him quickly.
Panzer walks over to him, hands him the bullet and walks off.
Metal Man (GM): Berge tosses it aside.
Colonel Berge: "You call that an irradiated bullet?"
Panzer looks back. "Pansy, Sir?"
Metal Man (GM): I love that inexplicable timing.
Panzer: "Well, I wasn't' trying hard. God something better?"
Colonel Berge: "This thing will kill almost anything." *He takes out a box with a bullet glowing horribly green.* "It however, is kept under lock and key, in this lead-lined box with a small lead glass window. I would have used it on Jack, but he wasn't worth it."
Panzer's eyes widen. "Where do you get those? I want some..."
Colonel Berge: "Only top GUN personnel have 'em, and they're precisely controlled for that reason."
Panzer: "What reason?"
Colonel Berge: "Maybe if you help us more we can give you one. Just one. They're highly desirable, due to their ability to ensure death."
Panzer: "I can make some of my own... I wonder if I can make some for my tank..." *She rubs her chin, imagry of mass destruction and radioactive wastelands dancing in her head.*
Colonel Berge: "Irradiated yes, but few bullets are made out of radioactive material, then... ...the part that makes it deadlier is classified, unfortunately for you."
Panzer: "My security clearance is better than yours, Sir. Where it matters... Just not with GUN."
Colonel Berge: "Not at GUN."
Panzer: "I just said that. Stop copying me."
Colonel Berge: "Trust me... you might get a chance some day."
Metal Man (GM): He chuckles and walks off.
Panzer looks him over. "Wait. You're human, right?"
Metal Man (GM): He stops. Chucking again. He's actually a red robin mobian.
Colonel Berge: "Not particularly."
Panzer: "Still. My plan would work on you. Maybe you'll be the test subject... It will work on you. You're vulnerable to it, just like most organics." *She smirks, turns on her heel and walks off, a hand to the side of her helmet as she places a call.*
Colonel Berge: "GUN has countermeasures for most, if not all, potential vectors." *He continues walking out.*
Panzer ignores him, busy plotting.
Aribar: "Now I wonder..." *Plane: Jack's House.*
Metal Man (GM): Aribar's spell hits some sort of wall and fails.
Deloth: "Hey, Ari, why don't you try Planing to the world of infinite Enchant spellbooks?"
Digifanatic: "But he's not an Enchant spellbook..."
Metal Man (GM): Yeah. Except those which fail. They fizzle out automatically.
Aribar closes the Titanium portal "Sorry, no more spells for today." *... Ele: Enchant spellbook.*
Panzer: "Next time, when you feel froggy, do a Plane Aribar spell. See if it eats you."
Metal Man (GM): You hear a weird bending noise. Then, suddenly, Aribar's nose catches on fire.
Panzer snickers.
Aribar: "Gah!" *Stop, drop, roll!*
Metal Man (GM): The fire goes out. Hmmm... twisting magic is dangerous.
Panzer: "What did you do?"
Deloth: "... Sorry."
Panzer: "You lit a match up your nose again, didn't you?"
Aribar: "Something rather stupid that I won't attempt without the proper safety measures. Deloth, can you come here? Stand beside me for a moment?"
Deloth blinks and walks over.
Kenku looks over curiously.
Aribar casts Cover on Deloth.
Deloth: "...Ari, what are you doing?"
Aribar: "I don't know." *He casts Ele: SSQ1.*
Deloth: "I should probably be running right about now, then..."
Digifanatic: "Aribar, are you just going to be exhausting yourselves with weird variations of your spells now?"
Aribar: "Perhaps, but I will be fine after a night's sleep. This is for science; I haven't had a chance to experiment with magic in this realm!"
Metal Man (GM): Marley is floating around, about to take his helicopter away. To his HQ.
Deloth starts backing away from Ari, somewhat nervously.
Kenku remembers something and walks over to Ari with Sunlight in his hand. "Here... you dropped this."
Panzer looks around for someone who might have a really good map of the area to include ore deposits.
Aribar: "Ah, thank you, Kenku," *The half-elf takes his sword back.*
Dragoshi: *Blinks.*
Metal Man (GM): Ele: SSQ1. Does nothing. A tattered page from the Book you destroyed that was SSQ 1 lands on the ground. It is blank.

Deloth picks up the page. "Oh, hey, something to draw on. Alright, Ari, now can I try something I remember?"
Aribar: "...Sure."
Deloth: *Ele: Cat. As in the Cat Cube cats.*
Metal Man (GM): Panzer: Search check. Panzer finds a map laying out, showing the distribution of ores underneath HQ. Mostly limestone. And some quartz.
Panzer picks it up, looks on it for the surrounding areas.
Metal Man (GM): Deloth summons a cat, which flies through the air, claws first, then vanishes.
Deloth: "I had no idea that magic could be such fun."
Metal Man (GM): Panzer: It fizzles out in the nearby forest, which possesses little else in the way of interesting ores. Some graphite-based stuff, that's it.
Panzer grumbles.
Aribar: *Does Deloth have clothing?*
Panzer yells. "Hey, anyone have a friggin ore map?!"
Soldier: "Er. Not specifically. Whatcha need?"
Aribar: "...Potentially."
Panzer: "I need to know where to find Mercury."
Aribar tries to cast Sensory to find Mercury nearby.
Deloth: "Hrm..."
Metal Man (GM): Aribar detects a faint trace deeper in the jungle.
Deloth tries a Life Ele.
Metal Man (GM): Pure energy is launched by Deloth. It glows oddly.
Deloth: "...What the heck?"
Panzer looks at the energy, lifting a brow. "Keep that shit away from me."
Aribar: "I detect some Mercury in the jungle, Panzer."
Panzer: "Alright. Coordinates?"
Deloth: *Is the energy still there?*
Metal Man (GM): It faded out after a moment.
Deloth: "Hey, Ari, want me to try shooting a Life Ele at you and seeing what happens?"
Aribar: "...Sure!"
Deloth: *Life Ele: Aribar as target.*
Panzer sighs and looks back at the soldier. "Any idea where he's talking about?"
Metal Man (GM): Aribar feels warm but... stays dead. I mean nothing happens.
Aribar casts Image on some nearby scrap of metal or something to show where he thinks the Mercury is.
Soldier: "There could be mercury there."
Digifanatic: "And to think that all of that started when we were fiddling with the mining mask."
Metal Man (GM): Panzer sees a map in the scrap metal which leads deep in the forest.
Deloth: "Digi, you have to learn magic. This is a blast."
Panzer draws a map in her head based off the picture and nods. "Alright."
Deloth tries firing a Chaos Ele into the air.
Panzer: "Deloth, there isn't such thing as a reploid element, is there?"
Deloth: "I doubt it."
Aribar casts Ele: Permanence!
Digifanatic: "No, I'm content watching this."
Deloth: "...I'm still surprised that the Cat Ele worked."
Dragoshi: *Casts Ele: bread at the ground.*
Metal Man (GM): Nothing happens from Aribar's ele.
Panzer looks at the soldier. "Why did you join GUN, anyway?"
Metal Man (GM): Deloth fires some erratic energy with disintegrates.
Soldier: "Health care, pay. I can support my family with the money."
Deloth: "Hrm..."
Panzer: "... Family? What is that? You get paid, too?"
Deloth: "Guys, I'm already cackling evilly inside with all the possibilities."
Aribar casts Image on Deloth's armor to make it colored purple!
Panzer walks around the soldier, looking very closely at him.
Soldier: "You don't know what a family is? Well... I guess not. You're a machine."
Metal Man (GM): It's a standard looking human guy.
Deloth: "HEY! Change it back, Ari!"
Soldier: "Of course, I get paid."
Panzer: "How do they keep you loyal, human? You don't seem to be very loyal to me..."
Soldier: "The pay and health benefits. All our enemies are usually unorganized fools with neither. Those who are organized don't bother to take prisoners. And my work helps protect my family."
Panzer: "You're not loyal to the cause, though. Therefore, you should be punished..."
Aribar smirks. "I don't think I have enough magic left, Deloth. I may be too exhausted for our next mission!"
Panzer is standing beside him, uncomfortably close. She seems interested in something on his neck.
Deloth: "I SAID change it back, Ari!"
Aribar switches it back to the normal colors... Except for a little heart he puts on the back .oO(Heheheh...)
Deloth: "THANK you. Geez." *Mask off, blissfully unaware.*
Digifanatic: .oO(Hmmmm...)
Deloth: "...Hrm. If there's a Chaos Ele..." *He tries an Order Ele.*
Digifanatic: "Ari, follow me for a moment. I want you to try something on me, just try it where I can only lose my dignity to one person..." *Walks to some secluded area, muttering.* "Actually, Ari, I don't want you to try something on me, but we can do something to get back Deloth after he pulled the Natalie prank on me..."
Soldier: "You aren't a judge of that." *He steps back.* "Please leave me alone... I've heard you're all creeps here, but at least try to keep it to yourselves."
Metal Man (GM): Deloth: White light. Sorta boring.
Deloth sits and lies down, done with the magical play for a while.
Panzer stays in place and stops staring at his jugular. "We're not weird. But you staying close has given me something to do."
Soldier: "Really?" *Stepped away, actually.*
Panzer silently scans him to try an obtain info about him.
Metal Man (GM): Oh yeah, +1 EXP to everybody. Scanning... search check, Panzer.
Deloth: *Whoot mon.*
Metal Man (GM): You detect he's a medium-rank soldier, sort of an assault guy. He is armed with a machinegun and a big ol' knife, and a pistol. Serial number #493023. Yeah, they keep track of their soldiers effectively...
Panzer's smile widens, showing those acid-coated teeth of hers. "An invaluable opportunity."
Metal Man (GM): Ahhh. Can't get that, unfortunately. You'd need GUN databases.
Panzer: "You love them, yes?"
Soldier: "I thought you said you didn't know what a family was." *He stares at Panzer, confused.*
Panzer: "I know the definition of the word. But you love them, yes? Answer the question, #493023."
Soldier: "..." *He shakes his head and walks away.*
Panzer chuckles. "Hope you said good bye this morning." She loads a round into her sniper rifle and slings it, walking off.
Soldier: "I'll say goodbye to you." *He walks away and vanishes into the greater collection of soldiers.*
Digifanatic: *Walks back out from where he was.*
Panzer: "No need to say good bye to me. I'm leaving to go kill your family. I'll leave some remains for you."
Digifanatic: "Dang it, those spells wear off too soon..."
Panzer: "I'd kill you, but your allies would try to kill me."
Aribar walks out as well. "Sadly, those ele spells do." He would walk over near Deloth... And cast an Image spell on his back.
Panzer walks over to Schatze. "Schatze. I want your help with something."
Schatze: "What is it?"
Panzer: "Hmm. You won't help me. I should ask someone else."
Aribar: *Deloth now has a little "I <3 N&R" picture on the back of his armor!*
Deloth blinks and sits up. Apparently, he had dozed off. "...Must have been ants or something." *Lies back down.*
Aribar: "You're tired too, Deloth? I'm heading to bed. Good night."
Deloth: "'Night, Ari."
Aribar heads to his room, stifling a chuckle until he is out of earshot.
Deloth: "I think I might grab my sleep out here. I haven't slept under the stars in a while..."
Digifanatic: *Actually, Deloth's marking was a simple 'DT' and 'NR' over the heart, unless of course, Ari misinterpreted what Digi said...*
Aribar: *Yeah. That.*
Deloth motions to Digi. "So what'd you do out there with Ari? Some kind of combined explosion?"
Digifanatic: "Nah, I was just hoping for like a temporary hair color or something. Nothing significant."
Deloth: "Ah."
Digifanatic: "I just wasn't sure if was gonna look right in front of a crowd and unfortunately, Ari warned it wasn't gonna work at all."
Deloth: "There IS always washable dye, y'know."
Digifanatic: "Eh, maybe I'll think about it. It just would have been nice to see if we can have a free source of it from a mundane spell, that's all."
Deloth: "Or you could borrow my mask and shift it to a different color."
Digifanatic: "Yeah, but I'm not sure if I really want to suddenly go without sleeping or yawning and everybody's voices in my head just for that."
Deloth: "Pansy."
Digifanatic: "Plus, I'm not sure if the mask would affect me in combat or anything. Yeah, I'm still 'myself' but only in a kinda-sorta sense."
Deloth: "Although I still wish I knew what that was a mask OF. That's been driving me crazy since day one. Eh, I'd think it would. Buuuuut, that's just conjecture."
Digifanatic: "Yeah, and I'll be honest, I'm content the way I am right now."
Deloth shrugs. "Whatever floats your boat."
Digifanatic: "It'll be interesting to see what Aribar will be able to do with Berge once we get to the next confrontation with Jack. There's got to be something weird in the GUN water or something... three guys?"
Deloth: "Yeah, I'd check those pipes for LSD or something."
Digifanatic: "But, Jack can't kill anyone instantly anymore, that's a plus."
Deloth: "Why? You break his staff?"
Digifanatic: "Yeah."
Deloth: "Awesome." *Holds up his hand for a high-five.*
Digifanatic: "Think it was Panzer or someone... there were so many things flying around, it was hard to keep track." *High-five.*
Deloth: "Can't believe the jackass managed to shoot me with that thing..."
Digifanatic: "Shoot you no longer."
Deloth: "Yep..." *He yawns.*
Digifanatic: "I think I'll be taking care for the night. Surprisingly nothing to say this time... We broke Jack's staff, and we can use Aribar to counter something, that's about it."
Deloth: "'K. I think I'm gonna try to catch some sleep out here tonight."
Digifanatic: "No problem." *Heads into the ship... where he finds a loose pen and piece of paper.*
Deloth nods off, still blissfully unaware of the addition to his clothing.
Panzer is asleep on her tank.
Digifanatic: *Note* 'Natalie, make sure you take a good look at Deloth tomorrow. Not sure if he's okay or not.' *Slips it under the place in the ship where she'd most likely be sleeping since the Stadium was first destroyed. Settles over to where his sleeping area would be, presumably undisturbed.*
Metal Man (GM): Recap. Lemme remember... uhhh... it definitely wasn't another stadium match you did last time. Ah right, Jack tried to destroy the Questers, but was barely repelled by the combined effort of the Questers and GUN. Also Ael threatened the Questers but left due to being unable to prove they were the source of persistent robot attacks against him. Also, in the tales of barely, the Questers are... ...well they're just at HQ. It's a seemingly normal day. Which means at the end of this session we're going to all be going @_@ "WHAT THE HECK WAS THAT!" Main session: It's a normal morning with some clouds. The Stadium is complete.
Aribar is the empty library reading as usual.
Natalie blinks, and sets out from her room, looking for Deloth, with Raena following close behind.
Digifanatic: *Is exploring the grounds of the Stadium right now... keeping his distance from Deloth, I might add.*
Deloth is mostly just checking out the now-complete Stadium, still with no knowledge of his added armor symbol.
Digifanatic: *Mumbling to himself* "Well, at least it's about the same as before... hopefully it'll last long after we defeat Jack..."
Natalie: "Hey, umm..." *She blinks as she catches sight of Deloth, and the painted symbol on the back plate of his armor. * "...oh... oh my." *She just starts snickering, as Raena blinks, moving closer for a better look.*
Dragoshi: *Checks to see if there's any new mail.*
Deloth turns around. "Oh. Hiya, Natalie. What's up?"
Natalie just continues snickering, as Raena moves around him to look at his backside.
Deloth: "...Um, Raena, what are you doing?"
Metal Man (GM): The new mail is from the Mask Salesman.
Kenku does a quick check of weapons systems before coming downstairs.
Metal Man (GM): 'Sell one, get one! Don't forget to remind me of when you sell things!'
Panzer looks around everywhere for a metal cup.
Dragoshi: "Huh..."
Raena: "...cute... I suppose this means we're going steady, hmm?" *She asks with a smile, moving to take one of his arms with hers.*
Deloth: "...wha?"
Digifanatic: *After taking a satisfying walk around, he winds his way back around to where Dragoshi is.*
Deloth: "Uh, um... I mean, you ARE nice and all, but... what brought this on?"
Metal Man (GM): Panzer: Search check.
Raena: "Take off your breastplate." *She says with a perfectly straight face, which just causes Natalie to bust out laughing.*
Digifanatic: "Wow, does the Mushroom Kingdom even remember they owe you a Kart? I don't even think you've gotten a notice regarding a delay or anything."
Metal Man (GM): Panzer finds one in... not R&R, since one does not exist, but laying around in the arena. Weird.
Deloth: "...Uh, Natalie, what's going on?"
Natalie by this point has doubled over, just laughing, and unable to answer him.
Panzer pockets it and slings her rifle on her shoulder and sighs happily. She goes into the garage to dig out a bike, if there are any.
Metal Man (GM): There is one, at least.
Digifanatic: *Muttering to Dragoshi* "I certainly hope Aribar's replenished his supply of the Image spell... I think Deloth's going to want him to use one before we even leave HQ..."
Deloth: "..."
Kenku sees the note from the salesman..."Uhh... is it ok if I stole a mask from Rinith?"
Digifanatic: "Julian did, Deloth did I think..."
Panzer sits on it and cranks it, kicking the governor off and leaving her metools extra food out.
Dragoshi: "'Cause, apparently, the mask salesman's having a 'Sell one get one' sort of deal."
Deloth radios everyone else at the Stadium. "Uh, Raena's hitting on me and Natalie's laughing fit to kill. Could you check and make sure there's not something in the air vents or anything?"
Aribar continues paging through some advanced spellbooks in the library. He is oblivious to what is happening elsewhere.
Digifanatic: "Yup, Deloth definitely did, and he also wants to sell the Mining mask. Natalie still wants to sell hers..."
Kenku: "I mean... I know I was late to that meeting, but hes not here."
Dragoshi: "Well, I think Del already cashed in on his first sale."
Digifanatic: *R* "No, Deloth, I'm pretty sure the architecture is alright."
Raena: "Just trust me. Take off your breastplate and look at its back."
Kenku: "Natalie hasn't sold her's yet?"
Deloth: "..."
Dragoshi: "Dunno 'bout Julian, though. I'll need to ask if he's sold that mask or not yet."
Panzer lets it run, gets off, and starts to fill some of her .50 cal hollow points with the mercury found and gathered, wax-capping them.
Schatze: *Looks at Deloth* "Personally, I prefer red."
Digifanatic: "She wanted to, they suggested selling it to Marley but I guess Raena wanted to take a joyhunt or something."
Deloth blinks, taking off his bodysuit and flipping it over to look at the back. In other news, he's not that bad-looking shirtless! "... ...I'm really not sure whether to be mad or burst into laughter myself..."
Kenku: "Natalie, why don't we make a trip to GUN and try to get that mask sold"
Digifanatic: "So they never got that chance yesterday. And what Julian wanted was to sell the Gambler's mask. Of course, shortly after that we blew up the casino... But he did wind up making the sale in the nick of time."
Raena answers for Natalie, who's currently incapacitated from her laughter. "That would be a good idea, Kenku." *She leaves Deloth, and picks Natalie up, who starts to calm down. *
Deloth: *Let's see, putting two and two together, what with him going off with Ari yesterday, Natalie being its main focus... yep.*
Panzer sets the ten aside she has done, works on ten more.
Metal Man (GM): The materials you have, Panzer, appear to be just enough for 25.
Deloth radios Digi. "You low-down son of a bitch."
Panzer makes 25 then.
Digifanatic: *R* "Yes?"
Deloth: *R* "I'm not sure whether to congratulate you or punch you in the face."
Digifanatic is now ALSO trying to hide his laughter... *R* "I'm not sure either. But the score's one to one now, boy."
Kenku: "Hey all... Ok if I take the ship to Central City?"
Digifanatic: "For?"
Dragoshi: "Eh?"
Kenku: "To sell Natalie's Mask. I would use a bike, but they're all gone."
Deloth: "Mind if I tag along to try and sell mine?"
Kenku: "Don't see why not"
Dragoshi: "Mind if I come with? I need to check to see if they didn't accidentally send the kart there instead."
Digifanatic: .oO(Oh wow... what should I do?)
Deloth walks over to Digi. "Here, have a souvenir." tosses the armor at him.
Aribar gets up from his chair and stretches. He's had enough of this spellbook... For now. He goes off to find the others.
Digifanatic: "I don't use armor."
Kenku shrugs "The door is open I guess." and starts to walk towards the ship.
Digifanatic: "Besides, the initials wouldn't match up!"
Raena: "I could use it if it'd fit over my bust." *She says in a sweet voice to Deloth.*
Deloth: "Er..." *Scrambling to keep his composure* "Sure, try it on."
Digifanatic: *Hands it to Raena.*
Raena: *The six foot fox puts down her trainer, who can now walk, but is still giggling a bit, and tries on the breastplate, which it manages to fit rather well, though a bit snug.* "Mmm... I like this actually. It's not too restrictive, and it'll provide some protection. Thank you." *She then heads towards the ship, and once Natalie sees the emblem on the other subject, she starts into another fit of laughter.*
Aribar walks in on the others. "Greetings, all. Is there anything exciting going on toda?"
Metal Man (GM): Aribar: The others (sans Panzer) appear to be talking about the image you did and also going to Capital City.
