Super Smash Quest: Infinity - Story - Chapter 32: Tainted Treasures of The Soulless

Jason: *Tries to pick up the blue one and place it in the ditch.*
Metal Man (GM): Jason puts it in the ditch. It begins slowly sliding down the ditch. You could even ride atop it, except that bridge over the ditch down a ways isn't very friendly looking. *BONK* It hits the bridge down there and stays there. That was... vaguely amusing.
Kaine looks for some sort of a seed or leaf or something to put in the dirt.
Metal Man (GM): Kaine would discover seed-like indentations on the chest itself. With... seed shaped things on them. Weird.
Kaine takes the dirt and places them over the seed spots, backing up once again.
Metal Man (GM): Hm. The dirt is... dry... And no one has figured out how to get water out of the broken faucet yet...
Jason walks down the ditch to pick the chest back up, placing it back level with the others.
Metal Man (GM): Jason would do that. Then also notice something shiny under the bridge. Barely, through the pipe where the water faucet was.
Kaine: "Needs power to get water?"
Jason: "We might have something under the bridge! Should I walk over for it?"
Jet: "By the looks, and maybe a few parts."
Metal Man (GM): Jason could probably take that as a yes. Or touch the armor. Yeah. Touch the armor. It's fun.
Jason walks towards the bridge, getting closer to the shint.
Metal Man (GM): The shint of shininess is some sort of... water pipe...
Kaine walks over to help Jason.
Jason: "There's a pipe down here!" *Looks for a switch.*
Metal Man (GM): No switch. The pipe feels cold.
Kaine looks for something that will start the water.
Metal Man (GM): Unfortunately, there's no automatic or manual switch. Just a pipe here...
Kaine looks for what the pipe's connected to.
Metal Man (GM): It goes under the floor when not in the bridge. It's headed towards the well though.
Kaine: *Sighs* "Well... Jason, the white one, is it wind?"
Metal Man (GM): The key lays near it. All but Kraela can see it.
Kraela: "I tried using the key, but it disappeared when I put it in the lock."
Metal Man (GM): There's a holder atop it, too... for some reason... for the key?
Jason: "Not sure... Wind, air, something like that..."
Jet: "What do you mean, the Key is back in the pile."
Kaine: "Hmmm..." *Goes back to see the diagram where the blue chest originally was.*
Metal Man (GM): The chest was sitting... atop some sort of pressure plate.
Jason: "I saw it too..."
Metal Man (GM): The plate has moved up, to indicate the chest isn't on it.
Kraela: "I saw it vanish from my hand. It's gone."
Kaine: *Steps on the pressure plate.*
Metal Man (GM): It clicks... then a click is heard at the bottom of the river's trench.
Jet looks at Soy confused before picking it up. "But its right here."
Kaine: *Waits.*
Metal Man (GM): Kraela would see Jet holding an invisible key. Nothing happens beyond what I said with Kaine and the pressure plate.
Kraela: "Whatever you say. Don't hurt yourself." *She goes to check out the armor.*
Metal Man (GM): The armor has a nasty, evil vibe to it.
Jason: "Someone else, pick up another chest, see if there's another of those plates."
Metal Man (GM): It can be touched, but even a completely unmagical person could feel the aura of... craziness and hatred...
Kaine: "Princess? Can you pick up the white one, please?"
Jet looks confused, shrugs, placing the key back down. He tries the push the "Earth" chest over.
Metal Man (GM): It hits the pressure plate... again, the bottom of the 'river' makes noise, but nothing happens.
Starr does so....
Kaine: "The other chests, bring them to the plate!"
Kraela reaches to touch it, her first instinct being to grab the spear, but she pulls back. She didn't want to screw everyone over.
Jet pushes the chest over to the plate.
Metal Man (GM): The statue clanks, but does not respond, since no touching occurred. The White one is picked up by Starr... nothing happens so far.
Jason: *Walks back up with the chest* (Which plates are exposed with nobody standing on them, and which chests haven't moved?)
Kaine: *Looks at Krae* "Careful, Krae, we don't want to wake a sleeping giant... yet."
Metal Man (GM): There's only a plate beneath where the water one stood.
Kraela: "Right, I know. I just hate these puzzle things, so I'm getting bored."
Metal Man (GM): The earth chest sits on the water chest's plate. The water chest is sitting slightly off to the side. Starr is holding the "air" chest. It feels airy.
Kaine: *Goes to take the fire chest and place it on the plate as well, if it'll fit.*
Metal Man (GM): Well, Jason has the water chest, but the water chest is basically not sitting on anything. The plate makes a loud noise. Again, at the end of the river trench. It sounds like it is... breaking?
Jet goes to look at where the earth chest had sat.
King Demon: "Jason, Starr, the other chests!" *Waves them over.*
Metal Man (GM): Nothing there, Jet.
Kaine: "Jason, Starr, the other chests!" *Waves them over.*
Jason: "I think just Starr's... we need mine to be touched by the water." *Stands near the bank.*
Kaine: "I think we need all four of them to GET the water."
Metal Man (GM): Some loud snapping noises can be heard below.
Starr nods and puts hers on the platform.
Metal Man (GM): *SNAP* ...the plate breaks. Nothing happens. More clattering at the end of the river trench, but no water or anything.
Kaine: "Come on, Jason."
Jason: *Puts his down as well.*
Metal Man (GM): Nothing happens. Seems the plate was broken... but it probably wasn't meant to be broken.
Kaine: "... Fuck!"
Jason: "Oh man, it needs to be fixed..." *Looks at the other chests... do they have plates as well?*
Metal Man (GM): Nope.
Starr: "Augh!" *>.<*
Jason looks to see if there are any more rooms past this one.
Metal Man (GM): Nope.
Kaine: *Takes the chests off the plate* "Damn, how far down you think that trench is?"
Metal Man (GM): Of course, something did move at the end of the river trench, by the entrance of the room...
Jason: "Hmm..." *Grabs the water chest and carries it towards the armor suit* "I'm not touching the armor, folks, simmer down..."
Metal Man (GM): The armor suit seems to begin shaking when you take it near it. Do you set it before the armored suit?
Kaine: *Picks up the earth one and brings it to the suit as well.*
Metal Man (GM): The suit shakes some more.
Kaine: *Looks at Jason* "Worth a shot?"
Kraela: "I'd feel a lot better about this if it didn't have that spear."
Starr brings the Air one to it.
Metal Man (GM): It suddenly laughs and stands up.
Suit: "Hahahahahaha! You are such dummies!"
Metal Man (GM): It speaks with a whispy, airy voice.
Jet: "Umm... guys I don't know if that's a good idea, we might be... dammit" *is all he gets out before preparing to blast it.*
Suit: "It says put water in the trench, and you broke it! My treasure is only for those who are righteous and of order... and you tried to steal it! All you understand is fire... hahahahaha!"
Kaine: *Looking around* "WHAT water?"
Jason: "It was dried up and probably broken before we got here..."
Suit: "HAHAHAHAHAHA! You crack me up so much!"
Kaine: "That said, I can PROBABLY get the wind one open."
Jason: *Back away from the suit.*
Metal Man (GM): He laughs some more, before straightening up.
Starr: "Well YOU tell us how to get the water out of the pipe, jerk. We're trying to save the damn WORLD here!"
Suit: "Wind? WIND? You think that chest is WIND? Hahahahahaha!"
Jet: "Its ghost isn't it?"
Suit: "What does the world matter? Who cares about the world?"
Kaine: "Yeah, a pissed off one, apparently."
Suit: "I... am a suit of armor! Hahahahahaaaaa!"
Starr: ". . . You got lonely and started talking to yourself ages ago. Didn't you?"
Jason: .oO(Yup, you're a soulless shell. No wonder you don't care.)
Suit: "You come in here... steal my treasures... then you fail to get the other ones... because... hahaha... you're dumb!"
Kaine: "YOUR treasure?"
Suit: "All my friends... Colonel Coin... Dr. Lampshade... they tell me how many battles you have been in... but you can't open three chests... it's worth more than all the gold in here to me... to just see you act so silly!"
Metal Man (GM): You can't blame him too much. He IS an airhead.
Jet: "Ah so you were quietly sitting there the whole time?"
Starr: "So seeing us act like this is worth all the gold in here?"
Suit: "And you will never have my bejeweled diamonded super staff! I got it... for the low price... of my soul and my body! Hahahahahaaaa! Yes... I have been watching you... watching you fail!"
Kaine: "Nice one. I think you got ripped off."
Starr looks at the chest in her hands and considers smacking the suit of armor with it...
Suit: "No way! It was worth it. I'm immortal and invincible and invisible! And you're just trying to steal mere trinkets left over from a madman who truly inspired us all... Hail Magellean! Destroy of Sense!" *It makes a salute.* "So if you want to keep failing... go ahead! I'll let you keep wondering why plants don't grow without water, or how pipes that are cold are full of water but you don't know how to cut pipe!"
Jason: .oO(Good, you're not making anyway!)
Suit: "Hahaha... you needed a plumber for this one, didn't you?"
Metal Man (GM): He sits down, laughing into his hand.
Kaine: "Right..." *Sighs* "... Wait..." *Walks over to the cold pipe, and cuts it with his sword.*
Suit: "Just too bad my friend Skyhigh and other friend Aetos aren't here... but I have you..." *It goes silent, slowly.*
Metal Man (GM): The pipe cuts open and begins spilling water into the trench. It then fills the trench... ...and clicks the plate... the one you broke...
Kaine: *Smirks... but... shit.*
Metal Man (GM): ...The broken plate begins floating up and water begins fountaining out of the broken hole. Hm... the plate had a single prong sticking out of it, before you flattened that...
Jet takes some water from the trench carefully in his hands and tries to place it in the water notch on the green chest.
Metal Man (GM): The plant grows in it, and the chest spills out emeralds. The statue gets up and laughs.
Jason: *Sigh.*
Suit: "Hahahahahaha! See? See how stupid you were?"
Metal Man (GM): It then eats some of the emeralds before you can grab them.
Jason: "Yeah, we get it, now let us finish in peace and quiet."
Suit: "It's only fair!"
Metal Man (GM): 20,000 coins in Emeralds remain when he's done.
Starr: *She looks at her chest again.* "Hey. Question. Does this chest need a ghost to open it?"
Suit: "It's MY peace and quiet you disturbed, funny-boy!"
Jet pushes the white chest back from him, and picks up the key, before looking at the inscription on the top of the chest.
Suit: "Hahaha... no... it needs an ORDERLY person! Duhhhh!"
Metal Man (GM): The chest has no real imagery on it, just a key holder atop it.
Jet puts the key in the key holder.
Jason shrugs and holds the water chest into the water a bit.
Metal Man (GM): The chest opens on its own. Again, the suit takes 5,000 coins worth of merchandise out of it, leaving you with 25,000 coins of white... pearls.
Starr: "Good enough."
Kaine scoops up some of the pearls, letting others grab some.
Metal Man (GM): Nothing happens. Of course, some water seems to be going into the hole in the bottom... but it's that kind of switch on the bottom.
Suit: "Hahaha... you'll never figure out how to open it!"
Kraela grabs as many of the pearls as she can.
Metal Man (GM): You pick up the rest. The suit seems to grab its fill, then leave the rest. You get the feeling these chests were not the property of the invincible armor ghost.
Jet looks at where the plate had broken, and if there is a way to set it into the proper position.
Suit: "I could open it for you, but then you'd get even fewer gems. Hahahahaaa!"
Metal Man (GM): The plate had an arm on it... it broke near the top, within reach.
Kaine attempts to fix the plate.
Metal Man (GM): The plate's arm would try to push it up, but the prong atop the plate is also bent sideways... You're just a bit too unwieldy to make it stick. It's truly messed up.
Jason walks back up and tries it himself.
Metal Man (GM): All you can see is the plate used to fit into the bottom of the water chest a certain way, and that doesn't work with the spike sticking out of the top of the plate bent sideways. You went to bend it right side up, but it broke off. Jason would fail to make sense of it. He's a bit lost right now...
Kaine: *Sighs* "Great..." *Tries again.*
Metal Man (GM): It doesn't want to stick together, with the water floating around it...
Kaine: *Moves the plate off of the water, if he can, then tries AGAIN.*
Jet shakes his head. "Might be a lost cause. Too much water to make a clean weld with."
Metal Man (GM): Unfortunately, the prong was broken off too, and you don't have a way to weld it back on... The suit watches you intently, like you are a television show.
Kaine: "I could try to use fire to weld it..."
Suit: "I knew funny things would happen if I waited long enough..."
Jet: "I could help if you if you can keep it dry."
Metal Man (GM): The metal is kind of soft... Yes.
Kaine: "It's dry right now... let me try to weld it." *Fire welding?*
Metal Man (GM): You weld it on. Things which make sense won't require rolling.
Kaine: "Ok, it's welded..." *Looks to see if it's completely fixed.*
Metal Man (GM): You can see where it plugs into the bottom of the chest... and how the lever below it would push the prong up... ...unfortunately the lever to push the prong up is underwater and disconnected from the plate/prong combo still.
Kaine: *Checks to see if it can be reconnected without turning off the water.*
Metal Man (GM): Not likely, it's a bloody, er, watery mess down there.
Kaine: *Sighs and walks back over to the pipe, trying to see if he can shut it off.*
Jason: "Just find something to plug it, I guess."
Metal Man (GM): Well, it's not a very big hole in the pipe...
Kaine: *Fireballs the hole, trying to weld it shut.*
Kraela: "Sooo... Suit. What do you need all this treasure for, anyway?"
Metal Man (GM): You kinda get it shut... enough...
Suit: "To look at for all eternity! Every nook and cranny... it's so beautiful!"
Kaine: "Ok, now let's see if we can finish the repairs." *Heads back to the plate to connect the parts.*
Metal Man (GM): NOW you put it back together.
Suit: "Awww... I wanted to see you do more stupid things..."
Jet helps wield the parts back together properly.
Kraela: "This is all you want to look at for all eternity? Us showing up has to be the only entertainment you've had for a while."
Metal Man (GM): It's a bit shaky, but... it only has to work once, you'd guess...
Kaine: "Sorry, pal, show's over." (chest is connected properly now?)
Suit: "Yes, but it's only been a year or two... I can always find a new treasure room!"
Metal Man (GM): The chest is still off to the side. You'll have to move it over or... ...slide it down the river again and ride on it. That's the right answer, yeah!
Kaine: *Connects the chest to the plate, then puts the plate where it originally was.*
Kraela: "A new treasure room?"
Jet goes back to the pipe and breaks it open again.
Suit: "I can tell where gold is. It makes me laugh. Ha ha ha ha ha!"
Metal Man (GM): *Clunk.*
Jason: .oO(Eh, goody for you, dude.)
Metal Man (GM): He's too busy laughing to notice Opals spilling out everywhere. +30,000 coins from that one, since you... worked more than enough to get it open.
Jet collects the Opals before he notices.
Jason: *Collect collect collect!*
Metal Man (GM): 100,474... Broken open? No. It was put atop the plate, which... pushed the button on the bottom of the chest... which opened it. That was the puzzle: Put water in the trench, it'd push the plate, then open the chest from below. Instead...
Kraela: "That sounds like an interesting skill. Dumb to waste, though."
Metal Man (GM): Oh right, forgot a brick.
Starr: "..." *She keeps looking around at the shiny things...*
Metal Man (GM): Well, you guys broke the plate, moved chests around, then wandered around for a while. But you eventually figured it out.
Kaine: *Gets on the radio* "Hey, Mewtwo, can we get a warp?"
Metal Man (GM): Which is why you didn't lose any money on it.
Jason: "Didn't work for me down here..."
Suit: "Leaving so soon?" *He laughs.* "Guess you don't want to have any more money."
Jason: "If we go back to the lobby, we'll be fine." *starts walking up with some of the riches* .oO(Chance is it's booby trapped anyway!)
Suit: "I'll be waiting..." *It goes silent.*
Starr: "..." *She remembers what she was told about her upgrades.* "What are you talking about?"
Mewtwo: *R* "You broke up for a moment there..."
Kraela: "You're the dumbest thing I've ever seen. Using something like that just to look. It's a waste."
Suit: "...Back so soon? Ha ha ha ha... you can fight me for a million coins... or go down a floor and risk your lives for less coins!"
Starr: "..."
Kaine: "Maybe another day." *Nods* "For now, we have what we need. Ready to go?"
Starr: "Ah-... Yeah." *She sighs softly.*
Kaine: *M* "Hey, we'll check your upgrades next time, I'm not sure fighting him right now is a good idea anyway, most of us are about half dead as it is."
Suit: "Come back any time! There's seven layers of gold below me, and each one with more crazy, idiocy-inducing traps!"
Mewtwo: *R* "Hello?"
Kraela: "So long, fool." *She turns to Kaine.* "Yeah, I'm ready."
Starr: "I want my suit, Kaine." *Pout.*
Jet: *R* *Warp us out.*
Mewtwo: *R* "Good, opening the warp."
Metal Man (GM): WARP You appear at HQ... with the gems. Mewtwo looks at the 100,674 coins...
Mewtwo: *Chuckles* "It's about time we robbed CHARLES instead of the other way around..."
Kaine: "How much did you need for the suit?"
Mewtwo: "100,000 coins will go to make the device... 674 coins are left over... I will make it so each of you gets 674 coins as your pay for this mission, so there is no fighting."
Kaine: "Thank you, Mewtwo." *Nods to him.*
Metal Man (GM): +2 EXP and 674 coins to Kaine, Starr, Jet, Kraela, Jason
Kraela: "I like that math."
Mewtwo: "Before you ask, yes... there was money... but I was saving it for a crisis like this."
Jason: "Great!"
King Demon: "Good job, guys and gals. I'm impressed."
Jet: "Thanks Mewtwo."
Mewtwo: "And I can technically make a profit if I sell the gold and... piano keys? to the right buyer."
Digifanatic: "Yeah, looking good... Those puzzles seemed to be a bit annoying, but you're doing fine."
Mewtwo: "Now..."
Metal Man (GM): He takes out the cube form.
Holo Garrick phases back in, pausing at the... sheer amount of gold.
Mewtwo: "I must create the Order Cube." *He seems to... take the white pearls out first.*
Holo Garrick: "...yeah, that'll do nicely."
Mewtwo: "Charles had a great deal of wealth... wealth he never used."
Jason: "Thanks. By the way, what was the weird talking armor suit? Either of you two know anything about that?!"
Jet: "Sounds like a he had the greed of a dragon, and a horde to go with it."
Kaine: *Hugs Starr loosely* "Princess?"
Mewtwo: "Yes... that is right. But now..." *He begins glowing.* "I will melt down this greed... and turn it into the magic needed to save the world... negating Charles' evil taint."
Starr: "Yeah?"
Kaine: "How much money do you need for that suit?"
Holo Garrick: "Alright... now, remember to keep the entirety of the formula clear in your mind. You've got to try and picture the final product clearly."
Mewtwo: "Yes. I will keep that in mind." *He thinks... very hard.*
Jason: *Sighs and kisses Kraela* "That work was a bit annoying, but I'm glad we got out of it."
Metal Man (GM): The gem glows violently, as the pearls and other gems circle it, being sucked in violently by some sort of vortex. The lights flicker as the cube grows in size, gaining many ancient runes.
Holo Garrick: "Guys, please..."
Metal Man (GM): Mewtwo strains a bit, since he is not accustomed to doing this.
Starr: "I should have enough... Just a thousand..."
Metal Man (GM): Or this size of it, either...
Kraela: *She kisses him back.* "The Boos were interesting, at least."
Jason: "Yeah..."
Metal Man (GM): He shakes a bit as it seems to go awry for a moment, and a pearl breaks a window... ...but he brings it back and continues.
Mewtwo: "Material objects... object to being handled in this manner... no wonder Garrick took so much damage from doing this..."
Jason: "I got a bit tired and annoyed towards the end... wish I coulda helped that last puzzle or two a bit more..."
Holo Garrick: "You know, you can continue with the Beverly Hills 90210 AFTER the psychic cat works some old and dangerous magic?"
Kraela: "I didn't help at all with that."
Mewtwo: "Gh..." *The last parts of it go into the cube, and... the cube ricochets around the room, as Mewtwo can't quite hold onto it that long.*
Jason: "Uhhhh, alright, Garrick." .oO(Lay off the girlfriend, geez...)
Metal Man (GM): It thwonks Jason in the head, then lands on a couch, lighting the couch on fire. Mewtwo is busy catching his breath.
Jason: "Oh, crap!" *Looks for a fire extinguisher.*
Starr: *She stares at it,* "Well then... That's interesting."
KitOrbel: "WATER MARBLE!"
Metal Man (GM): Jason has an eldritch mark of order on his forehead, at least for the moment.
Jet pulls the energy out of the flame and snuffs it.
Jason: "Someone yell for Kit in case I--thank you."
Kaine: *Uses his metal hand to try to take hold of the cube.*
Metal Man (GM): The water puts out the fire, although the fire strangely flares up at the magic used on it.
Holo Garrick: "DON'T TOUCH IT!"
Metal Man (GM): Kaine touches it, and it begins zapping him violently.
Jet goes "GAH" and stumbles back.
Kaine pauses at Garrick's command.
Cube: "DISORDER DETECTED." *ZAPZAPZAPZAPZAPZAP.*
Digifanatic: *Gets up and walks over* "Uh oh..."
KitOrbel: "AIR MARBLE!" *She uses it to blow Kaine away from the cube.*
Kaine pulls his hand away quickly.
Metal Man (GM): Kaine would feel it trying to change his personality, rewrite is feelings, make him more of a paladin... the cube trying to force his mind.
Jet: "That... wasn't supposed to happen." *he says as he looks strangely at the cube.*
Metal Man (GM): Will check, Kaine.
Mewtwo: "This is not a normal cube... merely touching it invites its power into your mind..."
Metal Man (GM): While Kaine does force its alluring power from his mind, he gets a strong feeling of guilt for every law he's broken and every thing he's broken unnecessarily.
Jet: "I see... so how is it supposed to help us?"
Metal Man (GM): The cube is then blown out of his hand and lands on the floor. Which it then also sets on fire. Yes. He's lucky he got a 2, otherwise it might have melted his brain or turned him into a paladin.
KitOrbel uses another water marble on it.
Holo Garrick: "I figured as much... it's going to be similar to the Master Emerald in a way..."
Metal Man (GM): It reacts to the marble as well, neutralizing it mid-air. The fire stops, but before it can counter-attack Kit with a bolt of order, Mewtwo puts a force field around it.
Digifanatic: "Everyone, just get away from the cube."
Jason: *Stays backed away.*
Mewtwo: "...I have it under control now. My ability to barrier things, along with my knowledge of Magitek... should protect us."
KitOrbel: *She nods and moves back.* "Well, this has been a lesson in fun."
Digifanatic: "Thanks, Mewtwo."
Metal Man (GM): It eventually stops glowing radioactively, as Mewtwo floats the cube over to himself.
KitOrbel: "Kaine, what have we learned about touching glowing things?"
King Demon: *Sighs and shakes his head* "That thing is supposed to HELP us?"
Mewtwo: "...With this... I could have melted Aetos into nothing... and forced him to become honorable... ...I could have destroyed Charles just by touching it to him..."
Kaine: "... I think I'm going to go do something really stupid." *He walks off, his shoulders sagging quite heavily.*
Kraela: "I think I'm done here for now. Jase?"
Mewtwo: "...But the power... it is too great to be wielded like that."
Holo Garrick: "This is only a piece of the puzzle."
Starr: "Ah, Kaine..." *She goes after him, forgetting about her armor...*
Mewtwo: "It will be stored with the other items, then merged once... Oak figures out how to connect it without blowing the Item Combiner to bits."
Holo Garrick: "I can help him with that, I believe."
Jet: "I see... well... another piece for another day, I'm off to the infirmary" *he says and begins to walk off to go get his bruises from the Super Boo healed.*
Mewtwo: "Yes. You will have to begin telling him what you know. But... I think the cube can do one thing to help us right now."
Metal Man (GM): He de-shields the cube, then fires its beam at the damage it did to the room. The damage vanishes instantly. Then he re-shields it.
Holo Garrick: "Right... good stuff."
Mewtwo: "It does not mean to make chaos. Just that, without a wielder, it does not know what to do with itself."
Jason: "I think so, Kraela..."
Kraela: "Let's go, then."
Holo Garrick: "Now we have to find a way to make a physical version of that destruction magic."
KitOrbel: "Maybe we can hit Val or Mom with the beam and make THEM lawful." =D.
Holo Garrick: "Then combine the two..."
King Demon: "Think you can use it to stop Kaine before he does do something stupid?"
Holo Garrick: "...ha."
Jason takes Kraela's hand, waiting to hear the rest of the plan for now.
Holo Garrick: "It'd probably blow Panzer up before it remade her."
Jason: .oO(Just as nice...)
Mewtwo: "I could turn Kaine into a holy paladin with this. But it would probably deal some serious damage to him... weaken him, that is. And that is an evil way to use order... not that order really cares whether it enforces its way evilly or goodly. Panzer... this would probably destroy her."
King Demon: "Yeah, we don't need to change him, though... you've seen his memories, he has a lot of issues to deal with."
Mewtwo: "I can already feel it wanting to reach out and destroy anyone who has done so much as a single chaotic thought... .let alone masters of chaos."
Kraela: "I don't like the sound of that."
Mewtwo: "As tempting as it is, though, we do not want to tempt fate. This will only be used for our mission... and if anyone chaotic tries to attack the Stadium while we are busy figuring it out."
KitOrbel: "..." *She coughs,* "Alright, Oh. Garrick. Can you look at my marble gun for me?" *She pulls it out,* "Customized to shoot my magic marbles, aligned to be extra accurate and make my usual marble attack sting all that much more..." *She smiles softly.*
Holo Garrick: "Hrm? Yeah, of course. What exactly do you want done to it?"
Jason: "NOW we can head out, I believe."
KitOrbel: "I wanto to make it powerful enough so my marbles... Say... Ricochet."
Kraela tugs on his hand and leads him out.
Holo Garrick: "So... you want them to hit more things? Or you want to sort of bounce them around corners?"
KitOrbel: "Be able to bounce them around corners, or off walls to hit people in the back."
Holo Garrick: "That's a tricky shot. You think you can pull that kinda thing off?"
Digifanatic: "I think I'm done as well, guys..."
Metal Man (GM): Mewtwo is off to the side, staring at old pictures of Aetos, and then brandishing the cube at it.
Mewtwo: "You would burn in a fire of orderly energy for your vile behavior, Aetos..."
KitOrbel: *She smirks softly,* "I can do anything I put my mind to, Sir."
Metal Man (GM): He floats off. Contrary to Kraela's fear, it seems the people Mewtwo would have 'abused' his power at... don't exist anyway.
Holo Garrick: "Good outlook to have."
Metal Man (GM): Except maybe Val, who should probably run for her life.
King Demon: *Snickers* "I actually remember some of those he hates so much... We're better off without them."
Holo Garrick: "Hrm..." *He looks at the slingshot for a moment, frowning at it... then looks at the marbles themselves...*
KitChan: *The marbles are... Ordinary glass toys... Odd.*
Holo Garrick: "The trick isn't with the slingshot. It's with the marbles. How much cash do you got?"
KitOrbel: *She sighs,* "None. I don't get paid. Ever." *=.=;;*
Holo Garrick: "Heh. Sorry to say it, but I can't create the stuff if I don't have money to purchase raw materials..."
KitOrbel: *She pouts softly, then grins wickedly.* "Uncle IIIIIIIIIAAAAAN~!"
Holo Garrick visibly buzzes a bit, his projecting sorta stuttering. "...jeez."
KitOrbel: "Sorry, strong lungs."
Digifanatic: "Wait, what were you calling me for, Kit?" *Walks back.*
King Demon: *Sighs, shaking his head, snickering, as he pulls out a pair of earplugs.*
Holo Garrick: "I think she wants money, Digi..."
Digifanatic: "Ohhhh?"
KitOrbel: *She pouts up at him, using those big eyes.* "Uncle Ian... I wanna upgrade my marbles... But I never get to do anything fun... So I never get any money..." *Oh god, tears...*
Digifanatic: "Yeah, unfortunately your uncle never gets any money from here as well... how much do you need?"
Holo Garrick sighs, shaking his head a bit and crossing his arms over his chest. "The upgrade I have in mind will cost about 150 coins."
KitOrbel: *She looks from Garrick back to Ian and makes the face again,* "Uncle Ian... Pweeeeeeeeeeeease~<3 ?"
Digifanatic: "150? That's not too bad..." *Thinks about it for a second...*
Holo Garrick: "Oh, for God sake. Are you serious?? You even did it with a 'double-u'. NO one does it with a 'double-u'.'" *He would like to note that he, a 23 year old white boy, has occasionally said please with a double-u. That is all.*
King Demon: *Snickers* "Better you than me. I haven't upgraded MYSELF because I have no coins... though, I should ask you what you can do for my sword sometime."
KitOrbel: *She pouts and does the little anime girl grind foot into ground while shifting from side to side.* "I'd love you forever uncle Ian... Pwease? For me?" *<3*
Digifanatic: "You think we could convince one of the Brawlers to lend us some money? Kraela was willing to help spot me when I got my weapon a while back..."
Holo Garrick stares with his mouth open at Kit, the looks to Digi and sorta extends his hands toward her in confusion. "Seriously??? I mean, really???"
KitOrbel: *She thinks for a few moments,* "Well... I can try to ask Jason..." *She smiles weakly up at him,* "If he loans me the money, can I pretty please have my upgrade?" *<3*
Digifanatic: "He probably could... honestly, Kit, I would supply you the money myself, but I don't have much I can use or exchange here..."
KitOrbel: "It's okay, uncle Ian." *She smiles softly,* "I understand. I'm not going to make you give me money you don't have..." *<3 She looks up at him with those big eyes again,* "The important thing is that you would if you could afford it. That's all I need to know, because I know you love me thaaaat much." *She even giggles and hugs him...*
Holo Garrick: "Good lord, if I had a stomach, I'd be retching... jeez, what have you guys come to..."
Digifanatic: *Hugs her back* "So 150 coins from Jason? Hopefully he won't mind..."
KitOrbel: "Thank you uncle Ian! <3 I'll go ask Jason!" *she winks.* "I love you thiiiiis much!" *She spreads her arms as wide as she can and hugs him again before pulling away and running off to find Jason.*
Holo Garrick sighs and gently places his palm on his face. "God, what have the Questers come to..."
King Demon: "We picked her up on Alsa."
Digifanatic: "Yup."
King Demon: "Then again, her adopted mother is Panzer, her adopted father's Del, do you REALLY want us pissing either of those two off?"
Holo Garrick: "I could really care less. I'm equipped with enough shielding on my database that I won't die unless the planet goes up."
King Demon: "Panzer's aligned with the Time Cops, it very well could."
Holo Garrick shrugs a bit.
KitOrbel: *She's literally skipping down the hall until she gets out of earshot of them.* "God, could I BE anymore cliche-adoracute..."
Holo Garrick: "Then it does. Though, I'm hoping Garrick got my message."
KitOrbel stretches and goes to find Jason.
Holo Garrick: "He could easily take on Del or Panzer without an issue. Then it doesn't matter."
King Demon: "I'm looking forward to meeting him, I think I did once before, but it would have been a while ago."
Jason: *Transfer handwaved as she'd find him somewhere between now and the next session.*
Holo Garrick: "Who, Garrick? He's... well, if he's sane, he's usually a trustworthy fellow. He sees the big picture."
King Demon: *Nods* "I think I met him way back when, before he became sick. At the very least I knew OF him."
KitOrbel: *Is the most manipultive thing the Questers have....*
Holo Garrick: "He's a loyal guy."
King Demon: *Nods* "It's a shame, really, I'm usually loyal to those I deem worthy of it. I was busy on other worlds for much of Garrick's time here, perhaps things could have been different if I'd stayed."
Holo Garrick: "Maybe, maybe. In any event, if you don't have anything I should work on for you, I'm going to head over to Oak's lab and give him a hand."
King Demon: "Actually..." *Pulls out his beam sword* "If you could look at this, tell me what you can do to improve it, I'd appreciate it. I don't have a ton of money, but I'd like to get one or two upgrades at least."
Holo Garrick takes a look at the weapon, not being able to reach out and grab it, but he can look at it. "...well, I can do any number of things to it. It's a simple focused laser sword with a crystal. I can intensify the beam, making it hurt more... I can focus the beam, making it easier to hold and swing... I can use Magitek to give it an elemental component... I can lengthen the blade for more range, I can add a returning band so you can throw it and have it come back to you, I can add a blade manipulator to make it whipable... I can add a static effect to provide a stunning measure, I can have it effect the nervous system in a number of ways, I can dirty the energy so it leaves a poisonous residue..."
King Demon: "Hmmmm, wow!" *He thinks for a minute* "Focusing and intensifying would be a nice thing to have... the poisoning or stunning would be interesting too."
Holo Garrick: "That can be easily arranged. Whenever you get the funds to try something, give me a ring."
Metal Man (GM): The Questers helped Mewtwo secure vast wealth, so as to create a super-powered 'Order' Cube with Magitek powers. Er, QBs. The QBs now need to help figure out how to secure Thryne's dark energy into solid form, so as to integrate that in the Item Combiner with the Order Cube and the Engineer's Wrench to create... something... Kaine: *Sighs, sitting there, he seems slightly depressed still after last time, though he's better than he was when last he was seen.*
Mewtwo: "Thryne is still wandering around Toad Town. Oddly, nothing has been destroyed, but there is a bit of a problem... he and his magic are connected innately. If we stored it in a cube, it'd probably take him with it. As much as he is a danger who should be sealed, he hasn't done anything wrong yet. I have tolerated much worse in other dimensions and other times, and it would be unfair to deny him his existence because we need his power alone. It seems that, outside of his home environment, his lust to kill and destroy is muted. I suspect Alsa's environment has a sort of delusional effect on all connected too deeply to it... just as it suppresses the power of those who are not. But we cannot fix that. We must figure out what to use as the destructive force in our machine."
Digifanatic: "Oh, alright."
Jason: "Hmmm..."
Mewtwo: "If it is Thryne, then perhaps we need to figure out how to avoid killing him alongside it, since that would be rather unfair of us. Besides that, we could figure out other destructive forces. There are many on Alsa, but how would we get them to help us? Most of them are in the hands of madmen or neutral people. And before Holo-Garrick pops in and says it, we can't just create a 'Destructocube' right here, right now. The Order cube came naturally because I am an orderly being."
Jason: "Gotcha."
Mewtwo: "...And it did drain a lot of energy out of me to make. You should be thankful that the Hands ensure my power is regenerated. Anyone else would have to have suffered a permanent power down."
Kaine: "..."
King Demon: "So... we still aren't ready yet?"
Mewtwo: "Thryne could just create a 'destructocube' if we taught him Magitek, but that would make him incredibly dangerous, even if the cube was ours and he was weakened in his destructive powers by it. Magitek would allow him to construct more powerful devices to overcome that. This is Evil Wolfman, not Bowser or The Void. Without a powerful destructive force, we'll be sitting ducks when the remaining 4 days are up. If you have any ideas, please mention them here. I'm still thinking on it..."
King Demon: "Thryne isn't the only destructive force on Alsa, what about Red Text's satellite? What powers it? Or, for that matter, where'd the Arbiter Device go?"
Mewtwo: "The Time Cops stole the Arbiter's device back. Red Text's satellite is powered by Alsa itself. Though I wouldn't mind if we killed Alsa to kill Evil Wolfman, it isn't happening. Anthon possesses some lethal weaponry, but unfortunately, it's more likely to be pointed at you guys than shared."
Digifanatic: *Sigh* *;-_-*
Mewtwo: "I could settle that problem, but not on Alsa. Alsa would drain my power like it does to you."
King Demon: "We'd need to get Anthon here then."
Mewtwo: "Anthon hasn't yet become stupid enough to come here. Instead, I hear he is invading the Galactic Federation's hold on Alsa, intent on monopolizing it. We also still have Borne's remains, which we still haven't managed to revive."
King Demon: *Sighs* "... wait, what about the GF, wouldn't they have some destructive weaponry?"
Mewtwo: "I'm not sure if it is a good idea, but we may be able to... yes, except most of their weaponry is bent on destroying Space Pirates, far, far away. We'd have to repel Anthon for them to get it. ...But I just realized... the wrench... the Order Cube... Borne's remains were a machine... ...Hm, but Borne isn't a destructive device."
King Demon: "What about Jack's scepter?"
Jason: "Awww..."
Mewtwo: "Of course, we don't need him... just information on how to get one..."
Digifanatic: "Not sure if that one will cut it, Demon."
Kraela: "I doubt Jack would give up what's his."
Mewtwo: "Jack? Well, the combiner will combine what is put into it, obliterating what is put into it in the process. Jack is so attached to the staff that, repeatedly, he has rebuilt it when you have broken it. Maybe he could build another one, but I don't know if you have enough coins in the world to pay him. Since he already has a massive amount of Alsa's GDP invested in his bar and diamond castle alone."
King Demon: "Yeah, but at this point, knocking Jack's power down a peg or two won't bother me much, either. And if he can just rebuild it, perhaps he'll be more likely to allow us to use it."
Jason: "Any way to duplicate it?"
King Demon: "Probably not without the power source."
Mewtwo: "...I'm not sure how you're going to get him to willingly give you it. He could make a duplicate, but it's sort of his trademark. I don't know what kind of horrible deed you'd have to do in order to get him to give you a copy of it. I can warp you to his bar though. He sent a letter a while back saying you could just warp to visit him without wasting time with the bouncers."
King Demon: "He's busy with Boris or whatever the hell his name was, isn't he?"
Mewtwo: "Yes. Boris had designs on defying him, with how he managed to one-up him a while back by giving you what you needed without him getting what HE wanted... Although I heard it didn't go well for Boris, as the island Boris was on has become sort of a destroyed wasteland... yes, more so than before."
Kraela: "Yeahhh..."
Jason: "Oh hooo..."
King Demon: "Nice."
Holo Garrick: *Bweeeeem* "Bah, sorry about that. I was doing some intense calculation and didn't notice you all here."
King Demon: "I can't say I'm sad to hear that, didn't really care that much for him anyway."
Mewtwo: "So, you can talk to Jack, but I'm not sure if you'd want what he's selling."
Kaine: *Sighs.*
Holo Garrick: "What, we're trying to figure out how to find a crystallized version of that destruction magic?"
Mewtwo: "Thryne's destruction magic IS his soul... I'm not so sure we should kill him just so we can have an Evil-Wolfman killing device. Since he has not harmed anyone since being revived and seems to merely be wandering around Toad Town. His enemies are all long dead, and Nintendus seems to merely amuse him."
King Demon: "I still can't believe that place hasn't been leveled yet..."
Holo Garrick: "Ah, you're getting into the whole 'one or many' situation."
Digifanatic: "Well, if he is lawful in his destruction, why can't we just have him stay with us?"
Mewtwo: "We need to combine the power of the destruction into the other two devices to make the ultimate weapon."
Holo Garrick: "...well, to be perfectly honest, if the guy has done random wanton destruction before, then we might just slam him in there anyway. He's kinda deserved it and... well, if we don't have it, then the entire planet is gonna go up in smoke anyway."
Mewtwo: "Well, it's an option, but he might resist, making it a dangerous option."
Holo Garrick: "...though, if he had a strong enough will, it could interfere with the final outcome of the weapon."
Mewtwo: "Of course, I'm not sure how sane it would be to beg Jack for one of those destructive staff things, but if Jack did disagree, it wouldn't end in the Stadium being melted into the ground, or the weapon turning on us..."
Holo Garrick: "Erm... ...well, Jack does kinda owe me one, I think."
Mewtwo: "Borne could be revived, I just realized, but he'd be sort of the same sort of problem."
Holo Garrick: "Or, at least, owes Garrick half of one."
Kraela: "How'd you pull that?"
King Demon: "He does? Good, cuz he's charging us up the ass, twice!"
Mewtwo: "Well, any leverage we can get would be good. Jack is not against helping us, just... extremely expensive. 100k is a penny to him..."
Holo Garrick: "It was Garrick's warning that helped him hunker down in the final confrontation during the Alsa incident. He probably could have put up a decent fight anyway, but it would have been exceptionally messy."
Kraela: "So we go there, drop your name, and hope for a discount?"
Mewtwo: "So, QBs, which tach shall we take? Since while I will veto anything too insane, I'm not quite sure which is best."
Holo Garrick: "It'd probably be best if I went there myself. At least go with you."
Mewtwo: "A hologram projector will do fine for that."
Kraela: "Fair enough."
Holo Garrick: "Right, there should be one lying around somewhere."
Metal Man (GM): Mewtwo would look around, then eventually take one out of a cabinet.
Mewtwo: "Just take this into the warp."
Holo Garrick: "I don't know much about that fellow in Toad Town, but I do know about Jack."
Mewtwo: "It's a little old, but it still works."
King Demon takes the projector.
Metal Man (GM): It's a round device with a button in the middle.
Holo Garrick glances off into space for a moment before nodding and motioning to a nearby console. "I've uploaded my database into a chip there in the console. Just place it inside and hit the button. I'll appear and talk."
Jason: "Alright."
King Demon: *Nods and heads to the computer, taking the chip and inserting it into the projector.*
Holo Garrick: "And be quick about it. We might have to pull a U turn if this doesn't--" *He disappears as the chip is pulled out, then appears a moment later from the projector.* "--work out."
Metal Man (GM): It's a bit black-and-white and interlace-y, but works fine.
Mewtwo: "I have the warp ready." *He opens the door and opens a red Alsa warp.*
King Demon: "Huh, Portable Holo-Garrick... nice! Well then, let's go, huh?" *Smirks and heads through the warp.*
Digifanatic: "Yeah, I think I'll deal with this one..."
Kraela follows Demon.
Jason: "Eh, alright... if you wish..." *Shrugs.*
Digifanatic: *Didge heads in.*
Kaine: *Sighs and closes his eyes, laying against a console and... falling asleep?*
Metal Man (GM): You warp on in. WWAAARP You appear in the outlandish bar of Jack's. Jack is busy leaning on his table, speaking with... Johnathan Dark. His DIAMOND table, of course. Surrounded by bricks of gold. Each and everyone listed as 'Gold Taken from the Questers'
Jack: "--An' then I said, 'Boris, you're not Invencibel! You're EEENDEADZIBEL!!!"
John Dark: "...Fascinating. Really. Now could you help us retrieve the Arbiter's device?"
Jack: "Five million coins!"
John Dark: *Sigh* "Yes, I told you, we have the money."
Jack: "Great! I'll get on it as soon as--" *He sees all of you.* "Oh. As soon as I finish talking to my FIRST most favorite customers!"
John Dark: *Sighs* "This day just won't end..."
Kraela: "You're still a bleeder, Jack. How've you been?"
Metal Man (GM): John Dark walks to the side, muttering.
Holo Garrick is nowhere to be seen. The warp probably shut the holo emitter off.
King Demon: "Hi, John." *Nods to Dark, then to Jack* "And hi to you as well. Doing good as ever, I see."
Jack: "Well, it got a little rough with Boris, but it was like old times. You know, the classic villain speech, followed by someone being annihilated by my staff."
King Demon: "Yes, we heard. Had a blast, did you?"
Jack: "Anthon's practically taken over the world besides my part and Colonel's, but who cares? He's a crazy old man who'll die of old age. Then I can take over GUN and rule it. Yeah, I had a blast... it was turquoise colored and annihilated half of that miserable spit of rock! Ha ha ha!"
Metal Man (GM): He slaps his diamond table.
Jack: "So, what do you need now? Need me to save the world for yeh? Has Marley come to getcha? I hear Thryne is wandering about. Has he betrayed you yet? I have to settle some... problems... with him sometime."
King Demon: "And turned a profit, too, I see. Actually, yeah, we do need some help with something, and someone wishes to speak to you about it." *Hits the button on the projector.*
Holo Garrick: *Bweeem* "...hey, Jack. Long time no see."
Jack: "Ack!" *He steps back.* "I thought you were dead! Or smoking a cigar, at least! What do you want from me, holographic ghost of Christmas Past?"
Holo Garrick: "Wow, everyone thinks I was dead... heh, nah, that's not the case. Not yet, anyway. Listen, Jack. I'm calling in a bit of a favor that you owe me. I need you to give these guys--" *Motions to Demon and the like* "--your staff."
Jack: "My staff? They aren't getting my staff. What do they need it for, anyway? Shish-ke-bobs? Deloth lost his mind again? The Arbiter?"
Holo Garrick: "Something quite a bit worse. At least, to what my assumptions have lead toward..."
Jack: "I can't just give you my staff. It's a part of my soul. And don't test me, I didn't know that until I began to go insane when it wasn't next to me. I can make things like it... I am the last living being who knows the art of Echidna Crafting... but where would you get enough coins, hmmm?"
Holo Garrick: "Oh, come ON, Jack. You've got more money than God here. Can't you just create a new staff?"
Jack: "Yes, but I like my money. I want even more... I need to complete my collection."
Metal Man (GM): He points to... a few missing bricks in his 'Money from Questers' wall.
Holo Garrick groans, his hand hitting his head in exasperation before he stares at Jack with a bit of a look.
Jack: "Look, I'll lower the price... ...it's still 50,000 coins."
Holo Garrick: "...hrm... ...what about a trade? What if I gave you something worth 50K in technology?"
Jack: "Maybe. What can you do? I have some things I've wanted, but can't make, because I traded my soul for magic. Not technology. Like... hmmm..."
Metal Man (GM): He opens a hole in the wall and takes out an ancient GUN chest.
Jack: "Oh... yes. Yes, this."
Metal Man (GM): He takes out a design of some kind.
Holo Garrick: "...you still have that?"
Jack: "Have what?" *He takes out a design for a Phase pistol.* "This?"
Holo Garrick: "...oh jeez, the designs for it... I didn't know you had that..."
Jack: "My staff is just great, except for the part where it takes both of my hands to wield. Now if I could make a Phase Pistol that shot Death Beams like the staff, I could probably just kill Anthon Tark already."
Holo Garrick: "Hrm..."
King Demon: "Wouldn't hear any complaints from us..."
Digifanatic: "Nope."
Holo Garrick takes a look at the designs...
Metal Man (GM): They're incredibly super-advanced. Indeed, Jack would be royally robbing you money-wise. The coins to make this super weapon is probably around 500k-5 million, depending on what kind of knowledge you have. It's basically like the Golden Gun.. ..If you could just fire a concentrated beam and kill entire waves of soldiers at once.
Holo Garrick: "...hrm..."
Metal Man (GM): Its only weakness would be heating up enough to melt one's hand off, but since Jack is a super-powered madman, he could probably fire it MUUUCH longer than a human. Garrick would see the further blueprints. It'd basically use the staff as a power pack. So Jack could strap the staff to his back.
Holo Garrick: "...I could probably make it."
Metal Man (GM): And then the staff would conduct its power through Jack's back and into the gun. Simple, except to do this without killing Jack is the aforementioned priciness.
Holo Garrick: "I'd need the parts, of course... and maybe some time to study things..."
Jack: "So. You would be able to create this superweapon?" *He taps his fingers on the table.* "Well, time is not of the essence to me. I can wait."
Holo Garrick: "...but I think I can pull it off. However, we would have to rearrange our deal a bit."
Metal Man (GM): Currently, it'd be 5 mill to make, since you'd be just trying to make it and using brute force to ensure it doesn't just, like, explode.
Holo Garrick: "Here's how this is gonna work."
Metal Man (GM): He waits to hear what Garrick has to say.
Holo Garrick: "In one week's time, I will come to work on this device. You'll provide me with a space to work and the equipment and materials needed to construct the device. Also, you'll have our full cooperation in taking down Anthon Tark with the device. However, afterward, you'll not use the device either on the Nintendus or Alsa or within the systems that the planets inhabit. Anywhere else, however, is fair game."
Metal Man (GM): The QBs, meanwhile, would have the 4 days until Evil Wolfman does whatever it is ringing in their heads.
Jack: "Sounds fair to me."
Holo Garrick: "In exchange..."
King Demon: *M to Ian* "Did we just get talked into helping fight Anthon?"
Holo Garrick: "You provide for us a fully working copy of the staff you possess. Fully powered and an EXACT copy, down to the brush used for the magical runes. No. Strings."
Jack: "..." *He puts a hand to his chin, thinking on this.*
Metal Man (GM): He would then smirk.
Jack: "Of course I will do that." *He crosses his arms.* "I'm not sure what nonmagical folk like you would DO with it, but... if you want a fancy pole, you've got it."
Holo Garrick: "I'm sure we can find a use for it."
Jack: "Of course, there is one catch. It won't work against me. I make it, see..."
Holo Garrick: "That's fine."
Jack: "...And unless you're some super-mage, if you use it against me, you'll be unable to force it to work."
King Demon: "Not planning on using it on you, anyway."
Jack: "Just wanted to make sure you didn't consider that an unacceptable 'string.'"
Holo Garrick: "Jack, if I needed to kill you, I have plenty of other things at my disposal that work be much more efficient."
Jack: "It's how the Echidna Blacksmiths stayed alive. Their weapons couldn't hurt any other of their kind unless used by a supermage."
King Demon: "Besides, other than you taking 90% of our budget, I really don't have any reason to dislike you."
Jack: "...Dyne being a supermage, he made it rather superfluous..."
Holo Garrick: "As it is, I don't have any urge to kill you. The fight itself would be a hassle."
Jack: "You'd find killing me much more difficult than it'd appear, anyway. I could cause a planet-wide explosion to kill everyone around me, and that's only the 'minor' side of what I can do. Heh heh heh. But no need to talk of killing that won't happen. It's a deal." *He goes to shake Garrick's hand and grabs air.* "Whoops."
Holo Garrick chuckles a bit himself and waves. "A deal, then."
Jack: "So, you want this staff, then... watch."
King Demon: "Hmmm?"
Metal Man (GM): He traces an outline in the wall. That is, the part of it which is stone. Turquoise lightning comes from his fingers and seamlessly carves it out of the wall. Jack then pulls it out of the wall like it always was there, and floats it before him. He then takes his other staff and paints the runes on using it. Eventually, it glows. The only difference is it looks smoother, and is made of dark gray stone.
Jack: "The stone is only a cosmetic difference. The white stone is actually more fragile... ...But it's just a stick in most people's hands."
Metal Man (GM): He tosses it to Demon of all people.
King Demon: *Catches it* "Thanks, Jack."
Holo Garrick immediately goes to inspect it. He does have working eyes and evaluation protocols... will this thing do the job?
Digifanatic: *Nods* "Thanks..."
Jack: "Just try not to poke your eye on it... we don't need pirate Questers..."
King Demon: "Right. I'm not THAT stupid..."
Metal Man (GM): It is, and it isn't. It has an immense amount of enchantment into destroying things, but you're unsure about the 'power' quotient. Specifically, it seems to be more of a tool that works on the wearer's own power. Of course, Mewtwo, the Order Cube, and the Wrench already have lots of power. So it should work, it just isn't 'perfect.' Jack's is the same way, too. His is only so deadly because he's basically lasering people in the soul with half of Alsa's planetary energy all at once. It definitely has the 'destruction' element down. The runes basically are a listing of different synonyms for 'kill death destruction' Yes. It isn't the perfect weapon for the job. More like 3/4 of the way there.
Holo Garrick: "Thanks, Jack. We appreciate the work. I'll see you in one week."
Jack: "I'll be waiting."
King Demon: "Later, Jack. Nice stuff, by the way."
Jack: "Thanks. I spent thousands of years perfecting it. Er... ... ...well part of me did."
King Demon: "Yeah, and all our coins."
Jack: "They're well spent coins, if they save you all."
Metal Man (GM): The blue warp to Nintendus awaits.
King Demon: "And if not, it's not going to matter, is it." *Smirks and heads back through the warp.*
Digifanatic: *Warp.*
Kraela: "Thanks for the help, Jack. Have fun." *She leaves through the warp.*
John Dark: "...How are you going to get the Arbiter's device, anyway?"
Jack: "I didn't know until they basically gave me a deathray-flamethrower in exchange for a copy of one of my fancy toothpicks."
Holo Garrick vanishes as the others leave.
Metal Man (GM): HQ You arrive at HQ.
Mewtwo: "So... you obtained the device?"
King Demon hands it over to the psychokitty.
Holo Garrick downloads into the Big Room system via wireless connection and appear soon after.
Metal Man (GM): Mewtwo holds the device.
Holo Garrick: *Bweeem* "Damn, I didn't like that thing... too cramped."
Mewtwo: "Hmmm... yes. With this, I could have ended Charles in one hit. Or harpooned him."
Holo Garrick: "Thing is, Mewtwo... I don't think that's going to have the power to give us any leeway with this weapon..."
Mewtwo: "Truly a deadly... device..." *He flips it around.* "Do you think this will work, Garrick? I want to make sure, before I go to put it in the combiner... hmmm... Yes, it does feel more like a means to an end than a power source... but where are we to get another power source?"
Kraela: "The order cube almost made Kaine a respectable member of society. That's not enough power?"
Holo Garrick: "Think of this like... ...we're meeting the requirement instead of going the extra mile."
Kaine: *Asleep on the floor, curled up in the fetal position.*
Holo Garrick: "Personally, when the world is about to explode, I would think the extra mile is what we need."
Kraela: "Alright, fair point."
Holo Garrick: "However, we might have a few options open to use to make sure this thing works."
Jason: "Alright..."
King Demon: "Like what?"
Holo Garrick: "Well, for one, understanding the staff might make it able to apply Magitek to it."
Digifanatic: "There we go."
King Demon: "Ok, so... how do we understand the staff?"
Holo Garrick: "If we can talk to someone who knows a great deal about magic, we might be able to apply technology to the staff... however, that would still require a huge chunk of income. And time. We'd be pushing it."
King Demon: "ANOTHER huge chunk?"
Holo Garrick: "Magitek takes money. It's the nature of the stuff. No way getting around it."
Mewtwo: "I'm not even sure if those other levels of Charles' treasury has enough. The other levels could just be junk he's stockpiled. He was greedy, but not rich like Metal Man..."
Holo Garrick: "Personally, I think Magitek is off the table here."
King Demon: "Doesn't Metal have a treasury we can raid or something then?"
Mewtwo: "Too much Magitek would probably bias it away from what we want."
Holo Garrick: "We don't have the money to do another huge transmutation like with the Order cube."
Mewtwo: "Metal Man has a ship, on which most of his wealth is stored."
King Demon: "Oh, yeah, that damn thing..." *Sighs.*
Holo Garrick starts to pace, thinking...
Mewtwo: "It occasionally appears on the radar. However, last time, he basically defeated all the Brawlers singlehandedly."
Holo Garrick: "Hrm... we only have space for three separate items. We can't add in a fourth."
Mewtwo: "Yes. Unfortunately. We'd have to find something the staff could use, or... somehow enhance one of the pre-existing items."
King Demon: "Can you combine something with the staff, like a power source, BEFORE you put it in the machine?"
Jason: "A wrench, a staff, and a cube..."
Holo Garrick: "We'd need two extra items..."
Mewtwo: "The Staff could be charged with energy, without resorting to two combinations."
Holo Garrick: "We could combine the staff with two extra items of lesser importance to create something even better before mixing it with the wrench and the cube... That's also an option."
Mewtwo: "I sense that it does have energy in it... or we could do what Garrick said... I'm not sure though. Using a Combiner often uses up the whole thing, and I'm unsure if Oak could make another one in time..."
Holo Garrick: "But it'd need to be some serious magic, either from a source or a person."
King Demon: "What kind of energy?"
Digifanatic: "And it probably won't be Thryne."
Mewtwo: "Thryne and Dyne's magic would violently explode when combined. They were distant relatives who BOTH competed for control over Alsa."
King Demon: "Yeah, we don't want THAT happening."
Holo Garrick: "What we need is a fount of extreme magical energy. Is there a place like that we could readily get to?"
Mewtwo: "Hmmm..."
Digifanatic: "Dreamland, maybe?"
Mewtwo: "The Fountain of Dreams can grant immense wishes, yes. NOVA could grant even better ones, but... that Nova was evil."
King Demon: "What about Hyrule?"
Mewtwo: "One third of the Triforce is in Ganondorf's hands... and we signed a truce. Even with the planet on the line, he probably would do nothing but laugh at our misfortune. The Fountain of Dreams seems like the best idea. It is, at worst, guarded by small puffballs who can't take a hit."
King Demon: "Bowser has magic, we could talk to him, either the one here or the one on Alsa... probably the one on here would be better."
Mewtwo: "The one on Alsa is lost to use, hidden away to prevent Anthon from annihilating him."
King Demon: *Shrugs* "Fountain works."
Holo Garrick: "Can we get there without an issue?"
Mewtwo: "I was going to mention the Echidna king, but, the fountain is far easier. Kirby's land is among the easiest to traverse. All there is is a bunch of puffballs, nothing else."
Jason: "Cool."
Holo Garrick: "...well, the Echinda magic might make things easier for the staff, since it was Echinda magic that formed it."
Digifanatic: "Yeeeeeah, that's a point."
King Demon: *Smirks* "Oh, good, Marshmallows. Gonna need some chocolate and graham crackers."
Jason: "Two items, though. We can enchant with the Echidnas and grab energy from the fountain."
Mewtwo: "The issue is the Echidna King is... picky. Whereas the Fountain of Dreamland has been known to randomly enchant even the bad guys on occasion."
Holo Garrick: "Do you think it'd be a clean enough transition of power?"
King Demon: "I say fountain first, if nothing else we can go to the King later."
Holo Garrick: "I suppose that would work."
Digifanatic: "Fine."
Mewtwo: "It'd be for the best. Here's the warp." *He opens up a door and reveals a warp star!*
Digifanatic: "Let's see if we can make this work!" *Warp.*
King Demon takes the warp star.
Kraela takes the warp.
Metal Man (GM): You hit the warp. You're in a tropical beach. The fountain is a ways down the beach... there's a little guy walking around with a headband, on a bridge.
King Demon sighs and heads down the path... err, beach, whatever.
Digifanatic: "Alright, just be nice and we should be fine..." *Smiles and follows.*
Metal Man (GM): The guy with the headband and gloves stands in your way.
Fighter: "I am Fighter. No one may pass!"
Kraela: "Your parents had wonderful imaginations."
King Demon: "Does he like swords?"
Fighter: "I use my fists. Hyahahaha!" *He punches the air before Demon's face.*
King Demon shrugs and draws his sword.
Metal Man (GM): BATTLE ...Demon can attack first. These are easy enemies, it shouldn't take a full turn order to deal with. So, Demon: Just do an attack. Any attack.
King Demon: *Simply punches the little puff.*
Metal Man (GM): *BAM* He flies off to the side, and vanishes in a puff of stardust. Welp, that was easy.
King Demon: "... Ok, then." *Heads on down the path.*
Metal Man (GM): Up ahead is a palm tree with a weird coconut on it, and a short hop-worthy gap to another hill.
King Demon: *Somewhat avoids the treee and nut, and hops the hill.*
Digifanatic: "Yeah." *Looks at the coconut. He shrugs and moves on.* *Hop*
Kraela just follows along with the two Questers.
Metal Man (GM): The coconut falls down at Demon when he walks near it. Dodge check, Demon? *BOM* 25 damage.
King Demon: "... Frickin nut." *Picks it up.*
Metal Man (GM): It vanished when it exploded on your skull. However, the others easily hop up the incline, revealing their next obstacle: ...Cannons... fuses... and no way to continue right. Yup.
King Demon heads up the hill, grumbling and sighing.
Digifanatic shrugs and shoots Demon with a Cure spell.
King Demon: "Thanks."
Metal Man (GM): It's just empty space past it. The cannon is sitting there, with the fuse connected to it.
Digifanatic: "No choice but to light it?"
King Demon: "Sounds good to me!" *Smirks* "Duck?"
Digifanatic: "...wait a minute."
Metal Man (GM): The cannon has no cannonball. But it would fit you guys in it.
Digifanatic: "This might be a cannon that propels US over the gap." *He checks the length of the fuse.*
King Demon: "Oh, in that case... you first."
Digifanatic: "Sure, just lemme look at the fuse first."
Metal Man (GM): The fuse is 10-20 feet long. Slow burning.
Digifanatic: "It looks like it'll burn long enough for two of us to hop in, Demon to light, and then he hops in before it fires."
King Demon: "Go ahead then. This'll be fun."
Digifanatic: "Sure." *Enters the cannon first.*
Kraela: "This sounds like a really stupid idea. Of course we'll have to do it." *She climbs in, making sure to keep her halberd out of the way of her and Ian.*
King Demon: *Lights the fuse and hops in as well* "And boom go the QBs..."
Metal Man (GM): *BOOM* You fly up into the clouds... then land at a distant platform, unharmed. Hm... no fall damage. This zone truly is peaceful.
Digifanatic: "There we go."
Metal Man (GM): There's even a pile of candy in the path before you!
King Demon: "Oh, look, sweets..."
Metal Man (GM): And just ahead of that is the fountain itself. Wow, easy mode.
King Demon takes the candy, if nobody else is going to.
Ian pockets a couple pieces of candy, not eating it yet.
Candy: Heals 15 HP.
Enough for each of you to get one handful of it, which counts as one item.
King Demon pockets his as well.
Metal Man (GM): Now, you just have the fountain itself. Make a wish, I guess?
Kraela grabs some candy.
King Demon: "Uh... what were we going to wish for again? To power up the staff?"
Kraela: "I'm guessing wishing for Evil Wolfman to be gone for good would be too much?"
Digifanatic: *Nods.*
King Demon: "Yeah... it'd be more effective if we all wish for the same thing anyway."
Kraela: "Right. So for the staff we got from Jack to be empowered."
Digifanatic: "I'd say yours works well, Demon."
King Demon: *Nods, then looks at the fountain* "SO... how's this work then?"
Kraela: "I haven't the foggiest."
Metal Man (GM): The fountain has a weird bit of star energy floating in front of it, near you guys. It seems like you can just touch it.
King Demon: "... I mean, are we supposed to kneel and pray, or what?" *Notices the energy and walks over to it.*
Digifanatic: "I'd say kneel before the fountain and make it peacefully and quietly." *Walks over.*
Metal Man (GM): You could just grab it.
Kraela runs her fingers through the energy.
King Demon grabs the star energy and makes his wish for the staff to be powered up.
Metal Man (GM): You do so... by virtue of dancing, for some reason, as the energy makes you do a quick 15 second jig while wishing for what you want. The fountain then powers up, and fires a beam of energy into the sky. Uh... I guess that did it?
Digifanatic gives the energy a comfortable grab, making his wish before doing his rendition of the Kirby Dance.
King Demon does the Gibby dance.
Metal Man (GM): It's all very easy. Why, look, the Warp Star out is here!
King Demon: "Home, then?"
Kraela: "The dancing never happened. Agreed?"
King Demon: "Yeah, no comment."
Digifanatic: "And we get ourselves a ride back, plus candy!" :P
Kraela: "Right. Let's go home."
Digifanatic nods to Kraela and gets onto the star.
Metal Man (GM): The star... morphs... It turns into Metal Sonic... with the shoulder cannons...
Vile Metal Sonic: "Ahah... got you!"
King Demon: "Or not..." *Draws his sword once again* "Well, on the plus side, maybe I can complete my collection!"
Digifanatic: .oO(Okay, why is he on Dream Land?)
Vile Metal Sonic: "I overheard your plans... you won't defeat Evil Wolfman! If anyone does, it will be me... But enough talk. I have to blow you up already!"
King Demon: "Uh... don't see you even TRYING to defeat him..."
Vile Metal Sonic: "Shut up, idiotic Quester!"
Kraela: "You're a lazy bastard, picking on us small fry."
Metal Man (GM): Turn Order: Vile Metal Sonic, Digi, Kraela, Demon.
Vile Metal Sonic: "You think Digi is a small fry?"
Kraela: "Compared to Evil Wolfman?"
Vile Metal Sonic: "Well, Digi, are you going to take that?"
Digifanatic: "Heh, no."
Vile Metal Sonic: "See? Digi is on my side. He's no loser! You are!"
Kraela: "I note you didn't mention Demon."
Digifanatic: "I don't like Kraela calling me a small fry, but I ain't gonna kill her for it."
King Demon: "He knows there's nothing about me that's small."
Vile Metal Sonic: "All I know is... FIRE WAVE!"
Metal Man (GM): He leaps up and down, generating a wave of fire at all of you. 50 damage if hit. Everybody does the fire-wave hop.
King Demon: "Did we just Gibby Dance again?"
Metal Man (GM): So Vile Metal Sonic fires paralyzing shots at Kraela and Digi, in that order! 25 damage, stun x2 (Twice the effect) Vile Metal Sonic raises an eyebrow, and finishes his turn firing a mindblowingly huge chest laser at Digi. 100 damage.
Vile Metal Sonic: "You call me names, you defeated me countless times... but I have learned from you. Never to give you a break! I conquered Alsa once... you cannot stop me!"
King Demon: "I hate to say it, but this may not be a good time to get out of here."
Vile Metal Sonic: "Not forever!"
Metal Man (GM): You do have your radios...
Ian: "So be it..." *Charges a Fire Punch for 1 TP and goes to hit VMS with it to test the waters.*
Metal Man (GM): He flies outta the way.
Digifanatic shrugs and accepts the miss... full defense.
Vile Metal Sonic: "I have analyzed your combat techniques and found a way to make them obsolete! You do possess the spirit to defeat Evil Wolfman... but not if I copy it and get to him first!"
Kraela uses Flash Step.
Vile Metal Sonic: "Then the machines shall become overlords of Nintendus! The Mavericks will win, and Repliforce will die!"
Metal Man (GM): He leaps over it.
Vile Metal Sonic: "Hahahaha. Try as you might, you cannot hit me!"
Kraela: "Oops, missed." *She turns around and swings her hook around at him.*
Vile Metal Sonic: "You think you're Sonic, do you?" *He laughs.* "You shall make a fine target!"
Kraela: *She uses the hook to drive him to the ground.*
Metal Man (GM): Your choice, Krae.
Kraela: *She uses 2 TP to defend.*
Vile Metal Sonic: "Come at me with all your strength. I will only scan it, then return double the destruction to you!"
Kraela: "Wreck him, Demon."
King Demon goes to impale VMS while he's grounded... maybe he can get him stuck TO the ground?
Metal Man (GM): He dodges!
King Demon: *1 SP.*
Metal Man (GM): Too late.
Vile Metal Sonic: "Your pathetic abilities cannot restrain ME!"
Metal Man (GM): He breaks free.
King Demon sighs and defends.
Vile Metal Sonic: "I have adapted. Every defeat has made me stronger! But my words alone are not enough. Behold my immense power!"
Metal Man (GM): He glows violently; then his cannons shift to be inside his arms. His arms then blitz with energy, and he punches the ground with both of them. Two massive rifts fly through the ground and at Kraela and Demon. No, that wore off, Krae. Kraela evades, while Demon gets thrown to the side for 90 damage. He's now moved to out-range. Yes. Vile Metal Sonic then goes back to normal... and goes to grab Kraela. A lesser move, since he has less time on his hands...
King Demon: *Gets up and dusts himself off.* "Okay, then, that was annoying..."
Kraela: "Can't even catch one little girl." *She says as she steps out of his reach.*
Vile Metal Sonic: "You aren't worth my most powerful attacks, fool!"
Kraela: "Didn't hit me with that last move, either."
Vile Metal Sonic: "And when your friends are dead, I can end you with one massive attack. What then, hmmm? Can pithy phrases defend you from lasers? No."
Digifanatic smirks and runs back to the fountain.
Metal Man (GM): Digi is gonna become that woman who accidentally fell into a fountain! Oh no!
Kraela: "Just wait until I make you eat dirt. Again."
Metal Man (GM): One, Digi. Actually he's facing Krae now. So Demon and Digi would be behind him.
Digifanatic kneels, grabbing the energy again. .oO(Fountain, please give us the power to defeat Vile Metal Sonic.)
Metal Man (GM): 4 TP is used... nothing happens. Guess it needs to recharge.
Digifanatic sighs and defends for the last TP.
Vile Metal Sonic: "Hah. If it were that easy, I would just wish you away!"
Metal Man (GM): Yes. He hops over it.
Kraela: "Or maybe you should taste the sharper edge of my blade."
Vile Metal Sonic: "Go ahead."
Metal Man (GM): He lets you hit him... ...but hitting him is like hitting jelly--and it solidifies around the blade mid-swing, causing it to become stuck in him!
Vile Metal Sonic: "I was being merciful, but since you called me out, I figured. Perhaps you should get a taste of my full power."
Metal Man (GM): It does cause him damage, though it's stuck in him. Anything else?
Kraela: *She pulls out the radio with her free hand and turns it on.* "Mewtwo? We need an out."
Mewtwo: "Give me a moment, I'm determining your location..."
King Demon: *Is out of VMS' melee range, so he simply launches a pair of fireballs at the damn robot... maybe he can get him to melt?*
Metal Man (GM): Miss, hit.
Vile Metal Sonic: "You talk the talk. But you don't know what I can do. Until now!"
Metal Man (GM): He holds up his left arm. It morphs into a massive silver blade.
Vile Metal Sonic: "You want to find out what this feels like? Here!" *He goes to stab Kraela in the chest with it.*
Metal Man (GM): 150 damage, piercing.
Kraela: *She coughs up blood.* "Still better than dirt." *And she dies.*
Metal Man (GM): He shreds her in half with the force of the move, then turns to Demon.
Vile Metal Sonic: "Here is your parting gift!"
King Demon: "Hi again." *Smirks.*
Metal Man (GM): He flicks his arm at Demon, and it rips off, flying at him like a harpoon. Yes. Demon ducks, and the sword stabs the fountain.
Vile Metal Sonic: "...Luck has decreed you get that blade. Lucky you. I have other things to destroy!"
Metal Man (GM): The warp to escape appears. Gonna run into it, or risk finding out what else he can do?
King Demon picks up Krae, and the sword, and books for the warp, if he can.
Digifanatic warps as well.
Metal Man (GM): You do so, provoking a rare attack of opportunity. VMS goes to... scratch your face/eyes as you run past him? It won't stop you if it hits, just hurt. Nope, you moved.
King Demon: *1 SP to counter the glitch.*
Metal Man (GM): Demon's face is scarred by the hideous claws as he escapes, bleeding all over the place ...And that's with the 1 SP. You avoid being blinded, though! Thanks to the SP. You escape, with vertical lines on your face. Yes. Just Demon.
King Demon: "... FUCKING METAL SONIC!"
Vile Metal Sonic: "I'll finish the job next time, fool."
King Demon: *Yes he yells that as he goes through the warp.*
Metal Man (GM): You escape, as MX grows his arm back and also keeps Kraela's halberd. HQ. You arrive at HQ. Mewtwo is holding the now-glowing spear.
Digifanatic: *Pants a bit when he returns* "Can't he leave us alone... for one... phase?"
King Demon: "... I think I might need to see a doctor..."
Mewtwo: "...I don't remember Freddy Kruger being in Dreamland..."
Holo Garrick: "...huh."
Mewtwo: "...Dr. Mario ran away ages ago."
Digifanatic: "But there is a Nightmare..."
Holo Garrick: "That's... kinda messed up, gotta say."
Mewtwo: "...Is that a part of Metal Sonic you're holding?"
Digifanatic: "Nanites... blame them..."
King Demon: *Holds up MS's other hand* "Yeah... he decided to say hi to us... and obviously me specifically."
Metal Man (GM): A slightly bent blade of Vile Metal Sonic--unnaturally long as it's meant to be more an entire blade ARM, in the style of the T2 Terminator.
Holo Garrick: "Don't worry. The Smash Energy should start kicking in after a few hours of rest."
Jason: "Uh oh..." *Runs over, noticing Demon carrying the limp Kraela.*
Mewtwo: "And you should rest, unless you want your face to be permanently disfigured. He made some deep cuts with those claws... nanoblades, probably. ...But it was not in vain. The spear is energized... we don't have the time to get the King's Blessing, however... this should be enough."
King Demon: "Not particularly... I need a nap anyway." *Hands Krae to Jason and heads out, with VMS' sword still in his possession?*
Metal Man (GM): Yes, you still have the sword. Not sure if you want to trust something he just gave to you, but...
Digifanatic: "Demon, you sure you want to keep that for now?"
Metal Man (GM): It's a level 3 sword, with unknown properties you'll have to figure out next session.
Holo Garrick: "Fantastic. We should have no problems now... when do we want to do the full combination, Mewtwo?"
Jason: "Mewtwo, I know she'll be fine, it's just... doesn't..." *Exhales and takes Krae's halves, keeping them held together as close as possible, walking her over to the medbay.*
Mewtwo: "Tomorrow, with the other Questers and Brawlers in attendance, if possible."
Digifanatic: "Sounds good."
Kaine: *Wakes up, looking around... he's still a bit bummed, but he seems to be recovering* "What'd I miss?"
Holo Garrick: "Very well. I'll go through some calculations to make sure that everything will go well afterward."
Digifanatic: "He said he overheard our plans... from where, though? Jack?"
Kraela's body glows for a second and she opens her eyes, mostly healed. "Jason?"
Jason: *Nods.*
Mewtwo: "You should avoid talking too much, Kraela. You were sliced in half. Normally healing works instantaneously, but... those weren't normal cuts you received there."
Digifanatic: "He also repoed your halberd."
Mewtwo: "Nano-cuts. The Smash Energy isn't used to that."
Kraela: "He WHAT!?"
Mewtwo: "He appears to have taken it, yes."
Jason holds a hand to her, trying to get her to stop speaking for now...
Mewtwo: "You should rest for now, because... ...otherwise you might split in half again. It's still working on repairing the split..."
Kraela: *She clutches her chest in pain.* "Fuck..." *she whispers.*
Digifanatic: "Demon did pick up the sword he used to kill you... You might be able to use that as an intern weapon if you can control it."
Mewtwo: "We'll discuss this more tomorrow, when you and Demon are not horribly... injured."
Kaine: "Who'd you guys run into THIS time?"

Jason: "Can I walk you to a room?"

Kraela: *He took my weapon, she mouths to Holo Garrick, fire alight in her eyes.*
Digifanatic: "This is turning into a bad running gag."

Kraela: *She nods and tugs at Jason's shirt.*
Holo Garrick: "You get straight into bed and rest. Nothing beyond that."
Mewtwo: "Normally, I would say we should use our new weapon against Vile Metal Sonic, but... he may copy it. He is a very resourceful nano-robot. Unlike Borne... he actually is aware of his capabilities. Too well."
Holo Garrick: "You should be able to walk around by morning, and you'll be ready to roll by next mission."
Jason: "No, Kraela."
Mewtwo: "For now... the injured shall rest, while Garrick, I, and Oak, and Light, work on getting this new superweapon ready."
Jason: "We will get it back. We just can't do it now."
Digifanatic: "I still want to know how he heard in on our plans."
Kaine: *Pats Krae's shoulder* "Don't worry, we'll take care of it."
Holo Garrick: "You leave that to us."
Kraela: "I know. Let's just go." *Her voice is quiet, as she's breathing shallowly.*
Jason nods and walks her off to give her a place to rest.
